BLU

BLU is one of the top salons in Lancaster. They use all the top salon products, Davines for hair and the most amazing polishes including dazzle dry and the gel bottle for nails. Its a full service salon so they also do massages, waxing, facial as well as the hair and nails . The staff is really friendly and they all do amazing work and the salon is so Aesthetically pleasing. You can book appointment online. Appointments are recommended.

EDITED: I still havent received a partial refund for the horrendous and expensive hair appointment I had. DO NOT GO HERE!I got my hair done here on Monday this week, after being highly referred to this salon by two people. I really enjoyed talking to the girl who did my hair, but when she finished, I was upset with how my hair came out. Her final remarks is that it will take more than one session to get me where I want to go (but never mentioned it before she was done). I wanted to go platinum blonde (from an ashy blonde color) and my hair is a caramel fake looking yellow color with streaks of red and dark brown. It’s horrifying and I called the salon manager to discuss how to proceed. This was my first time having a really bad hair experience and i told the salon manager I wanted to see someone else because if this girl messes my hair up again, it would destroy me. To be honest, I am terrified to let the same person touch my hair again. The manager gave me two options; a 50% refund or come back and see the same person who screwed my hair up so she can attempt to fix it. I contacted another salon and had them look at it and they told me it would an additional $200 to $300 to fix it, on top of the $300 I already spent. I am so upset that this salon doesn’t take accountability for their mistakes and chooses to protect their stylists over keeping their customers happy. They are not a team, like any of the salons I have been to. I will never go here again, and if you are blonde, I do not recommend this place. If you do go there, remember that if they screw up your hair, you will have no choice but to live with it or see the same person who messed it up in the first place. That is really a shame because they are all very nice, but nice is not enough when your expensive balayage hair color looks like you did it at home with a $10 box die. In the pics are what I had before (blue shirt picture), I wanted (platinum blonde) versus what I got (with red sweater on).

My best friend and I came in to cut most if my hair off to prepare for my first chemo treatment. My stylist was very caring and sensitive to my needs. I could not have asked for a nicer person. She listen to my story and was great. Another customer was also moved by my story and when i went to pay my bill. It was already paid. So if she is reading this. Thank you with all my heart.

I loved having Morgan as my hairstylist! She was so sweet and kind through the whole appointment. She gave me a lot of tips and tricks for my curly hair and made me feel at ease through the whole appointment! I would definitely go back to her!

I usually don’t leave bad reviews but I booked a Hair Cut and Blow Dry because I have my baby shower next morning so I wanted to have my hair done. When I got there, they didn’t have time to finish my hair because they close at 8pm although website says 9pm and my appointment started at 7:15pm.Not only they charged me for a full service not finished, they charged me extra because I have long hair!!!

I just had a massage for Michelle and it was exceptional. I’ve been to the more popular sub and spas around the county and she has been the best! Her knowledge, and therapeutic skills are incredible!

Joy is the best! Ive been seeing her for years now, and heres why: In my mid-30s, I wanted to start learning how to manage my curls better. The Deva Curl website led me to Joy. She explained how my curls wished to be loved with simple tips I could use in my daily hair-care routine. Plus, the unique way they cut curly hair makes my hair shape and curls look better than ever before! I like how she explains the products she uses and that they are available for purchase in the salon! It is a very educational experience every time! Dont forget to spoil yourself with extra Spa treatments like eyebrows and nails while youre at it! (My favorite part is that the kids play in the Kidz Klub gym during my spa time; it is a win-win!) Kylie was amazing!!! Not only did she do a beautiful job on my hair, but she was so personable. It was the first time she worked on my hair and she made sure to go through the consultation and asked if I had any questions throughout the process. It took about three hours and we were able to talk like we were old friends! Overall, my experience was excellent!

Joseph was amazing! He listened to what was tight and adjusted his planned technique to address that specifically. Helped with my tight shoulders, elbows, pecs, and neck specifically. One of the best massages I have had.

BLU SALON, staff is excellent, (Michelle, Massage Therapist)! They give you the ROCKSTAR treatment and are worth the price. They are very knowledgeable and remember your name. They go above and beyond to ensure you feel relaxed and explain all about the services provided.

As always, Jess did a fantastic job on my French manicure. My nails look amazing and with the Dazzle Dry polish that BLU uses, I know they will look great for the next couple of weeks! 10/10 Highly recommend!

Melody was super sweet, polite, and professional. This was my first massage with Melody and I felt completely comfortable. Melody checked in with me several times during the massage to make sure that I was comfortable throughout. Prior to the massage, she also took the time to talk to me and determine where my problem areas were, if there were any areas I wanted her to avoid, my pressure and stone temperature preferences, etc. I’ve been looking for a new massage therapist for awhile now and I think Melody is the one!

I am past my due date and Emily’s knowledge as a masseuse and labor/delivery nurse combine made my appt so worth the investment in myself. Ive had one other professional massage, years ago, but that didnt even come close to Josephs massage. Oh my gosh, I could feel muscles that I didnt even know could feel! He pinpointed the issue in my neck. I cant say enough about my experience with Joseph. Ive never experienced anything like that before! My first time at BLU did not disappoint. I am a large lady but everything felt luxurious and accommodating. Everyone was nice and Erin, my stylist, was a dream and did magic with my fine textured hair. I have never felt more beautiful and my hair has volume for days. Every time I have come back since has been just as wonderful and I love Erin and won’t be letting anyone else near my hair. Cuts, color and highlights have all been great!

Amazing experience!BLU salon might have small massage rooms, but I’m always blown away with the quality of the massage. I always feel refreshed and their massage beds are quite comfortable. Joseph really helps my shoulders loosen up. Having, not the best posture behind the computer doesn’t help, but with his massage, it’s definitely much better afterwards!I plan on trying out other services at BLU, such as pedicures or manicures in the future too. But highly recommend massages!

Great find. Went for massage to help with chronic pain and migraine. Joseph was able to locate my problem areas and help with pain relief. I haven’t used the other services but they have a nice steady flow of customers and a good set up. Would definitely recommend to others.

I’ve been going to Edwina for my nails for about a year now and she never disappoints! She takes her time with my nails to make sure they come out looking perfect and truly cares about the health of my nails. I have yet to leave the salon disappointed. I have known Sam for many years now, and doing hair has always been something she was so passionate about. She puts her all into it, and this woman is capable of doing miracles. We made the plan before I came, and can I just say, my hair came out better than I even imagined it would from the picture we used as an example. It’s beautifully purple. I am obsessed with looking at myself. I feel like a whole new woman! It turned out so gorgeous! The most consistent and reliable stylists in Lanc! Today I worked with Sallie and she was SO kind and patient with me. I have also worked with Joy (curly hair queen), Kalyn, and Sam!! (I can’t emphasize how talented this whole crew is). I’m always coming in last minute and have worked with many of the stylists too, and they ALWAYS produce incredible results. I have no clue how to explain what I want but they always seem to give me exactly what I envision :) I have curly hair and everyone at BLU knows how to work with my curl pattern so I know I am always in safe hands. I’ve been going to Samantha for over 2 years now for cuts and recently adding color. My hair always looks amazing and feels so soft and smooth after my services. She understands what I’m looking for and my preference for low maintenance hair, and I’m always happy with the results. I’ve also had Blu signature skin treatments with Hanh and Jessica, and both of them did such great job! So relaxing and refreshing for my skin. I saw Edwina for nail services, and she was skilled, detailed, and fun/easy to talk with. My experience with Sallie was Fantastic! It’s been awhile since I’ve had my hair professionally cut. I have short spiky hair. (I’ve had some horror haircut stories, where I’ve come home crying)Sallie spent time with me going over what I wanted and looking at pictures I had on my phone and I felt she really understood what I wanted. Universal AC ls not only a fantastic gym, it truly is one stop for all your mind & body self care. There is a first class Salon & Spa called Blu located within their doors. You do not have to be a member of the gym to enjoy the extensive services Blu offers. I recently had my first haircut with Karisa. She was skilled at her craft & very personable. I arrived as a hot mess and left feeling & looking great. I highly recommend Karisa & Blu. I finally found my permanent go to Salon! Definitely check it out!

Absolutely beautiful decor and even better customer service! Although my mother and I were first timers to the facility, we were made to feel like we have been going there for years! Hailey is best massage therapist I’ve ever been to. She listens to my body and works out knots and on trigger points that injections didn’t even touch. I’ve very grateful for her. She’s very professional and extremely intelligent. She knows her stuff!

Great service! Hailey provides a therapeutic and relaxing massage. She works hard to make sure the client is comfortable with room temperature, table temp and cradle height. She provides firm pressure when requested and relaxes pressure in painful areas. I always walk out of there feeling relaxed and renewed. Great Therapist!

Booked a massage, pedicure for my husband on his birthday and two kids mani and pedi my our girls. He came out dancing from his massage session… lol and couldn’t stop raving about Michelle!!!! He absolutely loved his massage. He convinced me to book a session there even though I already have a membership with hand and stone. Emily is the perfect blend of professional and personal. She has worked wonders on my neck and shoulders, as well as relaxing and maintaining whole body through massage therapy. She never rushes through her appointments. I cant recommend her enough!!!

I moved here from California and my first salon I went to is a disaster, I did a keratin and color to that salon and the lady that is doing it over bleached my hair making it very coarse! I decided to try blu salon and I pick Sam to do my keratin last November and I liked it. And earlier today Sam did my color and haircut. I made the right choice to switch to a different salon. Sam is awesome, very nice person, you can ask her question pertaining to your hair. Highly recommended her talent!

Im almost 40 and have had curly hair my whole life. Ive had it cut & styled a handful of times, but usually leave the salon thinking that my stylist doesnt really understand curls and I can do better. I never go back. Today I was literally flabbergasted at Kalyns artistic transformation of my long, lifeless, frizzy curls into something of a Disney princess. Adding highlights for the first time brought out some extra definition. Shes the first stylist who actually GETS it and does a bomb job. 10/10. Joy is the absolute best at cutting curly hair in the area hands down! Actually, I have had my hair cut a the Deva Salon in NY several times and I still think she cuts my hair better. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who has curly hair!

Sam has been my stylist twice. She never disappoints. She really listens to what I want and nails it! Shes extremely knowledgeable and it shows in the results. Its a bit pricey but totally worth it for the results I have gotten each time. Also, the setting is so relaxed. They serve you a glass of wine, water, or coffee/tea while youre getting your hair done!Another added bonus, its located inside of Universal Athletic Club and you can utilize the daycare there for your child while getting your service done, even if youre not a member of the gym!!

Manicure, pedicure and facial were all amazing will definitely be going back already made appointment for myself and my teenage son for a facial. Staff is all amazing.

My time at the spa was relaxing and therapeutic. Hailey took the time to ask what areas I felt needed more attention and adjusted the pressure to what was comfortable for me. Before the appointment, I felt a lot of tension in my back and shoulders, but when I left, all of my muscle tension was gone. Will definitely be visiting the Blu spa again soon!

I had a consultation with Kalyn concerning hair extensions; she was so sweet and very clear in answering whatever questions I had. Also, the quality of the hair is amazing!!!Update: I ended up getting them done with Kalyn and let’s just say she completely exceeded my expectations. After a free consultation to make sure I was getting what I was asking for, I went in for a second haircut from Sam and am so much happier! I felt like my stylist was distracted and rushing the entire time, and I paid for a deva cut but literally all she did was give me a trim, no layers. I left pretty unhappy with my $55 haircut and am probably going to get it cut again--elsewhere. I dont want to be rough on my stylist; Ive seen her work on their Insta and shes very talented. But I dont think she was very invested in me or my hair. I know Ill never schedule myself as the first appointment on a Saturday morning again. I could just tell she had a busy day before her and I wasnt priority.

Kalyn gave me a great Deva Curl cut and beautiful color on my loose curly hair. She has an awesome upbeat personality, answered all of my questions without making me feel bad for asking. I find the Blu Spa revitalizing and a wonderful experience. The staff is very knowledgeable and their manicures and pedicures last longer than any other salon I have ever used. The customer service is exemplary and the technicians are wonderful to talk with while having your manicures or pedicures done. I highly recommend them to all my friends and also just as a treat for yourself!

Melita has got a special touch. I’ve always needed to use a male for my deep tissue massages due to being muscular however that has since changed when I found Melita. She is able to provide me with just the right amount pressure all while having a fluidity that causes me to nod off at times. My massage usually ends with me feeling like I’m on cloud nine and bringing back serenity that I’ve lost throughout a stressful week.

It was an amazing experience! Had my nails and toes painted for my birthday. Jessica Marrero took care of me and did an excellent job. I recommend her if you want to have a nice relaxing spa day. You won’t want to leave!
