Had a prenatal massage at Spa Mineral today, and really enjoyed it! The masseuse paid special attention to the areas I asked her to, and the pressure was great. The spa amenities were clean and nice. As a pregnant person the only things I could really participate in were the quiet room and women’s lounge, since the sauna and jacuzzi were off limits. All in all, I would return!
Spa Minerale is wonderful, I give them 4.5 stars actually. They have a beautiful facility, large accommodating relaxation room, sauna, steam room and a small hot tub. There are locker rooms with privacy screens and individual showers with eucalyptus oil spray.I got the signature massage, which was a 50min Swedish massage for $175 and I loved it. The massage therapist Carrie was very skilled. They have a lovely attendant in the locker rooms. I only knock them down half a star because I didn’t see enough hair dryers at all the sinks and I didn’t see razors offered near the showers, but maybe they have it if you ask. I hope to go back again sometime.
My treatment finished at 6:50. They were supposed to be open until 8:00. The lights had already been turned off in the relaxation room, and the water station had already been taken down. They told me when booking that the sauna, steam and whirlpool wouldnt be available after my treatment, so they could start cleaning- more than an hour before they were supposed to close. They renovated the ladies steam room. No longer dim, hot and steamy, now bright, warm and humid. They removed the hooks outside the sauna, steam and whirlpool- nowhere to hang your robe/ towel. They removed the privacy curtain by the hot tub. For the price, the little details should be better. For example, there were no attendants in the locker room, a few times, had to go to the front desk to ask for things. They put a pump top on a bottle of liquid deodorant, instead of a spray top, so couldnt actually use the deodorant. The massage was incredible, the best Ive had in years. But the amenities used to be so much better. I definitely want to go back for another amazing massage, but I hope they can bring back the 5 star experience they used to have in the rest of the spa.
My family booked 2 treatments at this luxury spa for my sister’s birthday. The herbal detox body treatment & Signature Facial delivered by estheticians Natasha & Rose were top notch. That’s where the luxe experience ended. My sister arrived an hour early to enjoy the spas relaxation rooms. The jacuzzi was tepid and not usable. The other amenity, the steam room was scalding hot and she could not enter. Unfortunately, there was no staff on hand to help her with either of these. Also, no one offered her a drink or anything. Finally, she had to go look for someone to serve her a drink and tell them about the conditions. When she went to check out they presented her with the bill to pay. She said, this was prepaid as it was a present. Well, at least my sister knows how much $$$ we think of her. They need to work on their customer experience big time.
Massage was nice; the facility itself was not. There was extremely poor lighting in steam room (so dark you couldn’t see shower handle or glasses left in there by other guests) broken hot tub, and limited amenities. I wouldn’t recommend.
Sherri did a fantastic job with a deep tissue massage, helping fix a huge problem with my back and also taking the time to explain the physiology behind the issue.
Booked one of their most expensive treatment for my wife as a Christmas present. The result? Came back home with her neck completely blocked and we are seeing a specialist to start physical therapy. I am speechless, 300$+ to spend festivities in bed, thanks a lot.
I went to Spa Minerale as part of a night away at Lansdowne Resort for my birthday. I had appointments for a massage and a facial. Here are my thoughts:Ive been to many different spas in the area over the past couple of decades, and Spa Minerale is mediocre in my opinion. The services I received were enjoyable, but nothing exceptional especially when price comparing. I dont find the overall atmosphere at Spa Minerale inviting or particularly relaxing. I go to some high end spas where everything (your robe, slippers in the sizes you told them you wear) are set up at a locker with your name marked to welcome you. Here, they have a robe in a locker they randomly assign to you when you arrive, but no slippers ready and act kind of surprised when you confirm you need slippers. Considering all the people I saw standing around, I dont think this would be a difficult thing for them to implement to increase the welcoming feeling. The lounge area is not very relaxing. Some chairs and a couch, water and tea available, but you cant prop your feet up as there are no lounge chairs or ottomans, but the room is a bit small and people have to scoot around each other, so they wouldnt even be able to fit that stuff in there anyway. It was noisy outside the lounge room at times. During my massage, the music was also a couple notches too loud and and not particularly relaxing or calming. They dont bother reading reservation notes- they were supposed to contact my husband to pay for the massage, and I even have a copy of the reservation that tells them to do that (Ive been to places where this isnt an issue). I get up to the check out, they only charged me for my facial, so I thought they had done as the reservation requested and called him for payment for the massage. Nope, over an hour later I get a call saying they only closed me out for the facial and would I like to use my card on file to pay for the massage? At that point in the evening, I knew my husband would be knee deep in kids and dinner so I wasnt about to tell them to bother him. But it is pretty annoying that they couldnt be bothered to read his notes. Or recognize the fact he told them this was for my birthday. In the future, Im not likely to use Spa Minerale again. I think its okay if youre from out of town, on property already and want to enjoy a standard spa service while youre at Lansdowne Resort. But locals, I would recommend going somewhere else.
I was invited to come to Spa Mineral for my GFs bach weekend & it was amazing. I thought I was getting only the 50min massage i booked, but when i got there I was surprised by all the amenities the Spa provides [first time @ a spa btw so i’m truly blown away]. Reina, my masseuse, was wonderful; she made me feel relaxed, comfortable, & executed my requests perfectly! Such a nice experience, I’ll definitely come back. Highly recommend!
Booking was a breeze and the massages and manicure were great. I decided on Spa Minerale because they have a great selection of wellness massages. I went with a magnesium massage and it was fantastic. My masseuse got all my knots and was very professional. I took advantage of the two saunas and it was great. Only complaint was they were darker than Im used to. There is also only one lounge where everyone receiving any service waits. Its very nice but isnt very big so you definitely need to use your spa voice. Highly recommend for a day of pampering.
Relaxing environment my massage therapist was excellent (Jen) the steam room wonderful for my sinuses. Only thing missing was a glass of champagne
Today was my first return visit in three years. Prior to that I had 2-4 services per year.. The spa continues to be well run, improvements to the massage tables and other facets of the salon have significantly added to the quality of the facility. Staff were friendly, very clean space! Highly recommend…so fortunate to have a high end spa in Loudoun County.
Staff is excellent and a fan of the resort. Issue is the gender bias in conditions. My wife said ladies size was excellent. Mens side really needs some care. Missing a ton of tiles in the hot tub and the thing is filthy! Can see the great need for scrubbed what tile remains all around it. The plaster Im the tub is in great need of help as it will scared ur skin. Sauna was piping hot at 80 degrees and no ability to heat up. The steam room was great which shows they have the ability to invest. Lets spend some money and clean this up so it is worth what you charge?
While the facility is lovely and a relaxing environment I did not think the hydra facial I received was worth the almost $300 I spent on it. The hydra facial, according to the brochure online, was 80 minutes long. In reality, it lasted maybe 40??? It felt rushed and I do not feel I received my moneys worth.
I want to give them NO STAR. Worst Mani/Pedi I have ever received. The lady who did my nail was awful. 1. She did not trim/file my nails. 2. The nail polish on my toe nails were applied unevenly and you can see little bubbles. I would say you will be very disappointed if you expect spa level of service. This place is worse than any regular nail shops I went in the past.
This is my oasis. The spa is set in a serene environment. I love the amenities that are included a sauna, steam room, pool. I had several massages and facials here. I definitely recommend it. You deserve the pampering!
This place was wonderful. With a few issues which is really just communication. When I schedule massages for 5 people I was not told that they also have a steam room, sauna and whirlpool tub. However upon arrival we we checked in with the receptionist and had another lady come out to great us and take us back into the spa area. She was wonderful, she showed us lockers, brought us our robes and sandles and brought us to the waiting area for the masseuse to call you. In the room were comfy couches and cucumber watee. We were called back quickly and all had wonderful massages. After we were done we were offered a complemtary beverage (we all got mimosas). We enjoyed the steam room and sauna, but did not take advantage of the whirlpool because we didnt bring suits. I had also called days prior to cancel a facial and pedicure but they hadnt updated their system. They were very apologetic and fixed it with no issues. Another member of our party had a medical emergency last minute but the spa was very nice and didnt charge us for missing the appointment.
Just went here 2 weeks ago and there was mold around the hot tub in the womens locker room, the air conditioning wasnt working in there so I could not use the steam or sauna. When my husband and I went to check out from having our couples massage, we were told that our massages were $25 each more than what we were told on the phone at the time ofbooking, and they charged us $10 each to use the couples waiting room without telling us up front. For what we paid there, we could have went to a much better spa. Very disappointed and left a message for the manager and have not received a call back.
This place is awful. I had a prenatal massage scheduled and the person taking the appointment did not ask how far along I am. When I got to the massage room, the guy asked me and I said Im on my first trimester. He said couldnt do a massage on me and directed me back to the receptionist. When I ask the receptionist if I could just cancel since I was only there for massage, she said they will still charge me $150 even though its their mistake in the first place. I ended up getting a mediocre facial and paid $160. I will never go back to this overpriced place who doesnt have the regard for their clients.
The facility itself was nice and well staffed, but the blowout I received was a total disaster. First, the stylist didnt want to wash my hair- she said it wouldnt hold well- I insisted she was my hair because I know my hair and could tell she was being lazy. Next she told me she was skipping the scalp massage because she didnt want to get conditioner in my roots. The result was sub par. While I waited on my friend, the next client was given the same, lets not wash your hair schpeal. I wouldnt have tipped, but the receptionist asked what percent I wanted to tip and I was on the spot. Eyeroll for not having a receipt with a tipping line. After I left, my friend told me her stylist offered her a complimentary cocktail that was part of the price- of course, I was not offered this. Ill never be back to this resort anyways (was only there for a wedding) but hopefully this review can help others in the future.
The spa itself and experience once you get in is wonderful. The check in and check out process reminds me of going to a Safeway that has 1 register open and no self checkout. Leave at least 15 minutes just to give them your name and check in, same for check out. They really need a 2nd receptionist, especially on a busy day like Mother’s Day.
My friend and I went there to celebrate our 30th birthday. I made the appointment for our massages, and manis and pedis, which I double checked twice. All services were done well. My complaint is with the customer service. When we reached the receptionist, she confirmed with me what I had ordered. My friend said she was getting the same thing and the receptionist said, “Oh, you are too?” Not a big deal but made me worry that I had made a mistake with the reservation. Once we were dressed and ready for messages, my masseuse came and got me. Hers just waited in the hallway and never called her name. When I saw her, I asked if she was waiting on my friend. So I went and got my friend for her. (At this point I’m embarrassed and was becoming more certain that I messed up the reservation). After the messages, we were escorted to the waiting room but not given further instructions so we went to find someone who can tell us what to do. Once we were called for our manis and pedis, my technician had me sit down and started my feet soak. My friend’s technician had disappeared. We asked my technician what my friend should do, so she sat her down and started her feet soak. Throughout the service, my technician was very professional. Her technician was not so much. All that to say, I was treated very well. My friend was not. This made the whole experience very disappointing.
Bryan was AMAZING. Highly recommend him for a massage! The whole facility was beautiful and I enjoyed all of my services.
We had a massage, facial, pedicure that was out of this world! Every single one of the technicians were extremely friendly and very professional. The spa was very clean. This place is phenomenal!
Just what I needed. Massage followed by hot tub, steam room, and sauna. Will definitely return.
This place is beyond what you expect from a spa. Warm and friendly environment along with nicest and most skilled therapists you can ever ask for. Overall, it is a beautiful, clean, and happy place to treat yourself.
Had an 80 minute massage (deep tissue with stretching) and it was awesome.
Im a member at Lansdowne, and although a little pricey (as is expected at a resort) the people are nothing but helpful and nice. The service is also wonderful and the treatments are well worth it.
Great spa with nice amenities. Masseuse gave one of the best massages Ive ever had. Would definately recommend.
Jenna was miracle. The steam room was unavailable and but otherwise a great place.
Unprofessional massage therapist talking about weight during a massage, done with SpaMinerale, should have gone to Salamander
Amazing spa, top of the line. Looking for a SPA day, this is the spot. Highly recommend!
Great staff and experience for our winter retreat this last holiday
Terrific
This place seems to have gone downhill.... Mold all around hot tub and the showers were very dirty
Professional, relaxing, always great results
This place is amazing and money well spent!
Enjoyed this spa so much!
Love it!
Excellent staff and services
Christal is great.
