I dont know how to better say this! They were polite at selling me something that broke within an hour of purchasing it.That being said, I returned to the store explained what the deal was, and that I was recommended this device to later hear another employee say to me, that the person who I talked to didnt know jack about it!!!!WOW!!!!! SO....... its been over a month now and all I get is we dont have it yet we will call you. Im tired of waiting, Moneys already waisted! It was a gift to me and honestly the whole experience is a negative vibe! They could have replaced it with something different by now but instead they want to give me a 30% discount on my next purchase or I wait God knows how long for a replacement. Ive already spent money once and why would I buy something else! Why not fair trade me cause its your employee who recommended this or else I wouldnt of even thought twice about buying it!

Come in weekly and buy things to do stuff with from out of town, the drive is always worth it due to the quality of product and INSANE customer service. I seem to always get helped by this dude named Eric and its honestly a breath a fresh air compared to the abysmal levels of customers services you get from other places.

I don’t give the store enough credit every time I walk into it, has a different atmosphere and vibe compared to any smoke shop in Lexington. Discounts,Sales ect.are just bonuses.I’m still satisfied with my Focus V and Gravity hookah. Such a totally wicked store…. Dey tha pluuug🔌🔥🙌🏽

I have been going to the Botony Bay for many years. Since the owner, I think that her name is Jenny, opened her first store in Richmond in the 90s with her first husband. I have been a loyal customer there since the very beginning. I have bought all kinds of stuff there over the years. From Richmond to Winchester Road, to Woodhill, to Alexandria. I bought my Mighty+ there. Many of my favorite things. Last month I went in to get some accessories for my Puffco Peak Pro. The salesman sold me a new glass for it that I was happy to buy. I bought a couple of other things and my $65 Puffco glass. He spent time telling me that this glass was just as good as the Name Brand Puffco glass it was just cheaper. I went straight home and tried it out. Much to my dismay IT DIDNT FIT IN MY PUFFCO! I tried VERY hard to put it in, but it just didnt fit. I called the next day and explained the situation and was told to bring in the glass with my Puffco and they would exchange it if they couldnt get it to work. I live in Mount Sterling, so the next time I was in Lexington I took everything to Botony Bay. When I got there I started speaking to a really nice guy, I think that his name was Zach, and he also had a Puffco and we had a very good conversation. I showed him the issue, and he quickly saw the problem and was like yeah, let me get the manager and she can take care of it. We continued talking while I waited, still having a good conversation. The manager, we will call her Whitney, because I think that is her name. She comes out of the back, and immediately tells me that this glass has been used, she can tell, she isnt giving me a refund. Well, Whitney, had you asked I only wanted a glass that fit, not a refund. When I SHOWED HER that the glass couldnt possibly fit or be used she told me, Its been used for something! I asked her how. It doesnt fit the device that it was sold to me for. When faced with me showing her that it ABSOLUTELY DIDNT FIT she doubled down and threatened to call the police. I told them that they could keep the glass and left it on the counter. What was I going to do with it? This happened on Sunday, March 3rd 2024. I have been calling since then to speak to the owner about the situation and she either doesnt care or believes Whitney. Either way, I wont be treated like this and called a liar. Keep your fake non-fitting glass. You have lost a loyal customer.

Always have a good experience when I’m in here. I never feel rushed, I feel free to ask questions, and the products are great. They regularly have specials going on, and a really good reward program.

Very cool place with all the stuff you need to do things with! Glassware, replacement parts, grinders, incense, stickers, doo-dads and accessories, Boveda products, and so much more! Staff is very cool.

The store was bright, organized and exceptionally clean. I went in unsure as to what to buy and, fortunately for me, was met by Cori, a lovely young woman of infinite patience and wisdom! Great selection of product but the employees will push whatever over priced knock off glass then you can get cheaper anywhere. The owner is not a great person and does not treat her employees fairly. I have heard her BERATE employees in the office and seen them run out crying after unjustly SCREAMING at then over a time off conflict that she herself created. The way she talked to this employee in particular was borderline illegal and would have warranted a chat with HR, if there was one.Its a shame though, one is the best selections in town but Ill be taking my business elsewhere. I cannot give my business to someone that treats her or anyone elses employees this way.

Ive been going to Botany Bay wayyyy back when it was just a little store tucked away in Richmond KY. It is more than just a place to get cool stuff, its a place to help create good memories and feelings. Im thrilled to see the growth of the company and can’t wait to come back to KY for a visit. Also, the guy with the cowboy hat at the woodhill drive location provided top notch service with great knowledge of the products ✊

The people here are always so nice. A couple years ago I got ran over by a car so ever since then Ive been a little off. And Ive been using products that would involve the shop that has helped me a lot. And these people have been wonderful and guiding me and the things that would help me or not help me. And theyre always so kind and patient. Highly recommend, especially this one.

Botany Bay is 10 times better than Purple Haze! Way more of a selection on so many things. Only negative I can say is watch those expiration dates. I bought something and got it home only to find it was expired. I used it anyways! Ginny goes out of her way to help her customers. My son helped build the shop and cant wait till hes old enough to shop there! I love the Botany Bay and always will. You can shop online as well! I walked in one day to buy something and came out with a 400.00 bong. Its the most beautiful piece Ive ever seen. You just never know what youll find there.

IMHO, customer service has always been hit or miss at BB. Actually, its been consistently awful over the past few years. So much so that I quit going altogether. I recently gave them another shot and what a difference! During my recent visits, staff has been engaging, friendly and helpful. Over my last 7 stops, 6 have been great! The only exception was some whiny kid that was so into airing his own personal grievances for everyone that he could no longer find the strength to do me the favor of being even a little helpful. Havent seen him there in a while though...good riddance.So if you had any bad experiences here in the past, give em another chance. They have definitely grown and improved!Another excellent experience this weekend + the thoughtful, real response to original review = increase to 5 STARSIMO they EARNED this one.Thank you Botany Bay. Excellent customer service. When I say excellent, I do mean excellent. I always leave smiling. Thank you for having so many wonderful employees.Prices are high on some items and average on others.It would be nice to see a wider range of crystals, gems, and so forth and at more reasonable price.To be honest, I usually order from suppliers in different countries. It would still be nice to see a wider range of supplies in that area.

I went here today for the first time and it was a great experience. Staff was friendly, extremely helpful and it felt very welcoming. I didnt feel stupid for asking questions, and they showed me all the features of the vape I bought and how to use it correctly. This will be where I go from now on. They also have a variety of other products for sale. Super cool, eclectic store.

I came out to visit yesterday and had a great experience. I met with Cody who helped me find exactly what I need and I met with another man with a beard whose name I cant recall but I wanted to make sure he was also recognized for his friendliness. I have come to Botany Bay for years and each time has had the same exact welcoming feeling but these two went above and beyond having amicable conversations with a stranger about the things they enjoy. You cant get much better personal service than that. I hope these two are recognized for their work and I hope Botany Bay stays open forever!

Im so Thankful to God that I was able to visit this store a couple months ago while traveling. The prices are affordable, the quality of the products are amazing, and the customer service- even better!!!!!!! Im out of state now, but I can easily order online and if theres any trouble theres someone available to help. 🍀 💚 🍀 A great hippie hangout! 😉

Love this place! You can find some really cool stuff here. Check it out even if you don’t smoke. I promise you will find something to buy. We buy everything from witchcraft stuff, crystals, sage, raw socks, jewelry, incense, kratom and so much more! Everyone is really nice and helpful. We went by tonight and was kinda disappointed in the service from the guy and girl that was working. Not very friendly, didn’t greet us or offer any help even though we were the only ones in the store. But then this young girl come out from the back and helped my daughter pick out some tarot cards. She even apologized when my daughter said yeah I was going to buy some cards but I didn’t know the price even though it wasn’t her fault. She was exactly the customer service we are use to there. Not trying to complain on the other two employees but more wanting to give praise to her! Wish I got her name but it was around 8:00 pm On Aug 24th and we spent like $150 if that helps to know who she is.

I really enjoy the vibe of this place, everyone is nice and friendly. There’s a fella named dillon who is attentive and always ready to talk point you in the right direction if you don’t know what you’re looking for. This is the perfect stop and place to go for stuff to do things with

This is our friendly, neighborhood head shop complete with most anything any self respecting connoisseur would Immediately feel right at home at.... they have all the accessories and memorabilia anyone from a passive partaker to radical rasta would love and several things to do stuff with all in between. All of the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and professional at all times and are Always more than happy to help enlighten any mysteriously foggy patches of thought if you end up staring at a tool or device you arent entirely certain of how to operate. Honestly just go, it will speak for itself and you will love it!

Place is owned and run by trash. This place was placing employees and customers in danger during the pandemic then wanted to retaliate against customers for being found out for anti mask protests on Facebook. Ginny is the worst, Matt isnt much better and Nick isnt worth the mention. This place uses and abuses everyone they come in contact with. Worst place to shop beside Local Overstock Warehouse.

I gave Botany Bay 5 stars for their friendly and super helpful employees. However, the supply of vape juice has really declined. They explained to me why the stock has declined and it sounds as if it’s no fault of their own. Maybe I should give them 4 stars. Because honestly, the inconvenience of having to shop at two different stores to get everything I need sucks. But they do have great employees!

I love this place. My home location was Richmond and they became like family then moved to Lexington and was so happy when I found out I had a store just up the road. Love the folks that work in both locations!

Ive been coming there for years for all different kinds of things. Every since you were on Winchester Rd location. Matter of fact I redid all your electric at that store before you moved. So yes I have been a customer of yours for years and again I am sorry for the 4 stars it was definitely a mistake that I overlooked. I absolutely give you 5 stars because you deserve it. Love coming here, whether its for CBD or metaphysical items. When I was first getting into CBD the staff there were patient and understanding. Even when I was having issues with cartridges they were completely cool and helped me out. Their rewards system is amazing and the staff genuinely interact with their customers.

Been to this location a million times the past few years, all of a sudden they can’t use my picture ID. Won’t ever come to this location again, the “helper” could’ve easily looked up my history but refused to help me in the slightest. Called ahead to see about curbside service. They told me to come on down. When I got there no one would answer the phone or door. I would have gave them less if I could. Check your receipt before you leave if you pay with a debit card. They told me they was having a sale on cbd oil but rang me up full price. I did not realize it until I got home. Called the store and basically they called me a liar. Did not give me the discount nor did they apologize. Also when I got home the cbd oil had a sell by date that was a year expired. What Im saying is go to cbd time and get your cbd products bitany bay doesnt have good products. You will thank me if you choose cbd time instead of botany.

The Botany Bay in Lexington, KY helped me quit smoking as well as quit nicotine in general. First, I quit smoking tobacco and replaced it with expensive, disposable nicotine vaporizers and e-cigs commonly found at gas stations. Then, I visited The Botany Bay one day and asked if they sold any nicotine-free, disposable vapes. They did! Since then, Ive tried various flavors and substances such as apricot and fig. Thank you, The Botany Bay!

Was charged 30 more dollars than what the manufacturer charges and the electronic device had been used already so the battery wouldnt charge all the way on a pulsar ROK device. felt pretty ripped off.

Open for socially distanced shopping. Have a nice variety of smoke shop stuff, ecigs, incense, and CBD. Got the five for making a first timer comfortable, and answered my questions knowledgeably without being pushy.

I bought a torch here that was defective and stopped working, the employees were nice and looked at it and said it was defective through no fault of my own but they couldn’t exchange it for a working one without a receipt which was frustrating
