First off, I love everything about this place. Food, atmosphere, and people. Have made great friends, including the staff. Folks from all over the world stop by, and there are great opportunities to meet interesting people. The regulars are friendly and enjoy chatting with first-timers. If people watching is your thing, this is the place to be.The happy hour crowd and the late nite crowd are different. If you came to late night it wasn’t your thing, then come early. I bet it’ll change your mind.With that said, I wanted to address some of the negative reviews.First, it’s one of the few latenight joints in town. Technically, I believe they’re required by law to be a club. That’s what you’re paying for.Second, they have to cover the live bands, so there is often a charge on the weekends. That’s just how it works. But you’re gonna get your money’s worth because they have great music.Third, police presence is required by law for ALL late night establishments open after 2AM. It’s not just a MT thing. Plus, the clubs pay for it, not the city. Take the time to get to know the officers. They’re regulars too!Fourth, it is a smoking establishment, but it’s surprisingly well ventilated. I have several nonsmoking friends whom I’ve never heard complain.Finally, it gets very busy, especially after the other bars close. The staff work their butts off. Treat them with respect and they’ll do the same for you. Tip appropriately (and generously if you are able), and they WILL notice.This place is an experience. It’s one of the most celebrated dive bars in the South.They have a truly unique trivia format on Tuesdays, and Bottle Toss on Thursdays is something everyone should try at least once.Put those good vibes out there and you will get them back with interest. Don’t listen to the haters.P.S. Cassie is the best. That’s not an opinion, it’s a fact. The other guys and gals are pretty OK too.

If your stuck in Little Rock, need food but everything is closed… There is Hope! A colleague and I arrived on a late flight into Little Rock and everywhere downtown was closed for food, except Midtown Billards! We arrived and found a friendly man working the front door/security that let us know food was served until 4am. We ordered burgers and chips, burgers were good, but nothing special. The people playing pool made for a great people watching experience. Thanks for being open Midtown Billards!

Happened to be passing thru the area. Forgot what brought me in. But had a great time for sure. Music was good. People and staff was real nice. Made some friends and had a lot of laughs. Loved the vibe of the place for sure. I would defiantly go back next time im in the area.

Last night was my first visit to Midtown Billiards. It was a really good time they had a live band that was really good!!! The vibe was really good and the people were very friendly. Will definitely be going back

Well its a great spot between 2am and 5am and your already drunk, wild, and just wanna keep it going and go play some pool. They have some live music too from time to time which is cool.

My brother and I played pool and had a great time at this spot on Thanksgiving night. Crowded and a bit rowdy at times...to be expected.Genuine people that welcomed 2 strangers into a bit of Little Rock culture. Thank you Midtown Billiards 🙏🏻

This place has extremely bad energy. They charge you $20 like youre entering a real club (should charge $5). 3 angry looking female LRPD officers stand together to the left of the bar. Very small area with limited seating. Ordered the $10 burger that doesnt come with fries. Waited 40 minutes for a burger and had to continue to check on my order. Did not want to wast another 30 minutes ordering a drink because they only had 1 bartender. I enjoyed the band, devoured my burger and quickly left the establishment. Not for me!

Customer service was great. I would have given a 5 star rating but their menu didnt have food for customers who doesnt eat pork nor beef. No chicken and only turkey sandwich. Turkey burgers or turkey smoke sausages is great to add to the menu. And their mix drinks were good. But u got to get them made by the right bartender. We will be going back next time were in town. Great area to. Keep up the good work.

A nice place during happy hour(my visits have only fallen into this time frame, so I can’t attest to the nightlife aspect.) The bartender was super aware and handled my orders with ease. She stayed on top of things and is a super friendly conversationalist. I’ve had the burgers and the gut bomb so far and all were perfect. Hands down best burger I have had in Little Rock. Probably the most well-known late nite spot in Little Rock (open until 5am), and for good reason. It’s your classic dive bar w/ pool tables, and weekend live music that starts sometime after midnight. The burgers are legendary, but don’t sleep on the other menu items (spam, egg & cheese, anyone?). It can get rowdy after 2am, but that’s part of the charm.

Thursday night bottle toss game is fun, starts at 7pm. Pretty chill atmosphere til around 11. Can get kinda wild after that.

Literally just came to try to get some food and the bouncer didnt let me in and said I had to pay $20 for a cover charge. Lame.

Best burger Ive ever had in my life. Not to mention the only place open late that does serve food. The staff is amazing but its a very small place with limited seating. They also have live music sometimes. Just be cautious in that part of town.

I live down town its a 5 min walk. The burgers are great and the vibe is welcoming. I must be honest this week was my first time inside. But Ive already been twice this week. Reminds me of the Cheers bar.

Visiting Little Rock from out of town, had a few people recommend this place for the burgers. The guy at the door was rude and super unprofessional. He was standing at the bar and didn’t notice us walk in. Once he saw us he immediately yells “I’.Ds”, didn’t have mine but my wife had hers. I asked if we could just order burgers to go as we weren’t looking to drink, he replied “this is a bar not a burger joint”. They also have some sort Drivers License scanner that saves your information into their computer system, seems a bit sketchy. This place is the definition of a hole in the wall, be prepared to smell like a carton of cigarettes after leaving. If your looking for a friendly late night spot this isn’t the place.

If you like live jazz/blues/rock and a good midnight burger this is your place. It’s one of the few places that stays open until 5am. This place is always packed with a large variety of people so if you are like me you might meet a new friend or 2.

The only thing larger than the burgers are the rats. The people who frequent here are mostly criminals. There is a constant police presence to maintain their behavior.

This place is GREAT! Atmosphere is chill and cool. The bartender, Taylor C., really stood out with her amazing customer service and knowledgeable, outgoing personality! Definitely will go back!

Read the review, comming thru LR late, didnt want the regular drive thru fast food. Said rhe bugers there late were good. About 3 am i went in got a rum and pineapple concoction twas good on taste and alcohol. Had good music in different varieties. About..right on # of ppl...not deadzone or to packed...pretty easy going bunch. No trouble. Finished my drink stepped out to have a cig.( indoor smoking allowed) but it was great weather. When I went back in burger was ready...headed to truck. Now I was hungry and not inebriated, but feeling right. And when i tell you the burger was easy top 10 ive ever had...it was good size, and neatly cut on half. So i ate half n pulled off to the house...some point when i arrived home i was long past tired...end up just falling asleep in my drive way. Sun woke me up an hour or so later (6am) to find the other half in my lap in the Lil starfoam box carrier. I was excited bc the first half was fire, so burgers are legit. Satisfied and just something different.

This places has the latest last call which is a selling point in itself. The vibes were good, very dive bar sequence. Writing and drawings on the wall, little booths etc. The drinks were good. We had a cranberry and tequila and a hard cider. We paid about $15.A few downsides. There was only two pool tables so we didnt get a chance to play. The cover charge seemed steep for a place I dropped $15 on two drinks. It was also a bit loud and crowded which is a negative for me but could totally be up someone elses ally.

My son LOVES their burgers!!! They know me as the hott mama chick with the kiddo that digz the burgers on bikes freakin adore the place, the vibe is off the chain and you can let loose n just be YOU... A+++++++++ FOR MIDTOWN!!!!! just sayin ;-)

Got charged $14 cover charge for 2 people to get in... stood with our group of 4 people at the bar for 15 minutes and the bar tender refused to even look at us, then had to wait another 10 min to get his attention to get our friends debit card back so we could leave. I would have understood if the place was crammed and tons of ppl there but there were about 6 people sitting at the bar besides us and theyd already been serviced. Sucks to suck because we were about to spend a lot of money at this place.

I have been a patron of this establishment for many many years always a good atmosphere great food and good times. Not to mention they have some of the best air conditioning in central Arkansas because my company installed it and I service it. Want to take your significant other out or just friends for a good time and play some pool look no further this is where you need to go.

The Billy Jones and the Outlaws Band are fantastic. And the burgers mmmmm good.

Great dive. The community is wonderful, the bar tenders are usually pretty on point, the cook is amazing and so is the food. Jump right in and make yourself comfortable, dont disrespect anyone and enjoy playing pool, eating the gut bomb burgers, and having a great time with friends.

This dive bar is so much fun! It was terrible when it burned a year or so ago. So glad that they fixed it back up in all its divey glory. Just go and have fun. Zero expectations of coming out of there not smelling like smoke, but that is NOT THE POINT. Get drunk. Have a burger. Dont complain so much.

The band Fan 😎 Star 🌟 was amazing! Staff worked tirelessly all night to 5am! Awe food! Safety is vital & very inforced inside with staff, even had a volunteer (a regular/concerned gentleman help out tons of people! Rider was his name.

A TRUE dive bar. Burgers arent bad and theyre a great late night meal after youve been out all night. This place is open later than most. Its a very popular after hours spot.

I had an amazing time! Met some of the coolest people Ive ever had The pleasure of crossing paths with The Buh Jones Band was on point with every song and rocked the house, especially the hot bass playing co-front man, Danny Rains. At Midtown that night, everything and everyone there was top notch for the setting to be perfect as a grand finale to a night of entertainment in little rock!

Would not recommend this place, they let anyone in it, people kept wanting to start fights with other people and kept going crazy over the pool tables. They also had a cover charge. Hard pass.

I had a date with a beautiful girl that I met at twinn Peaks:) it was her birthday so I suggested we go to midtown billiards because they were open till 5am . I left with this girl to give her a ride to her hotel . She was a little drunk like most people there , and the next thing I know we were harrassed by security and police , of whom asked us for our drivers license. The security demanded to speak with my dates girlfriends even though my date said she was fine with me giving her a ride home .The security then questioned my dates friends and eventually she got a ride home with her girlfriends.Dont go to this ghetto place! I had numerous guys asking to dance with my date even though they knew she was with me ! Its crazy difficult to get a drink in this place .! Stay away from midtown billiards!

After waiting an hour for food, only had a sliver of beef on half of my burger. My fiance went to tell the bartender (salty bearded guy) about it and he threatened to ban him from the establishment. When i went to state the case again i was asked if i had actually weighed the burger and it was a half pound of beef. Which it was not. No resolution was made besides grabbing my shoulders and shaking me. Did get a free beer so...

My favorite late-night venue of all time! Ive played there twice and Midtown Billiards has the best crowd for bands to play music to... whenever I get done playing, I get to eat THE best burger in central Arkansas. Cant recommend Midtown Billiards enough!

Awesome place! Great burgers. I tried a Gut Bomb. It initially didnt sound good with the Spam - but the cheese cuts some of the salty taste, so it was really good.

Good food, great bartender! Late night, I hate going to fast food and its hard to get a beer after 1:00 in the state of Arkansas. So... I decided to take a trip down to Midtown Billiards. I was debating on whether Id order anything to eat while I was there but then the same guy serving drinks, washes his hands (yes, I pay attention to detail) and starts grilling burgers! Then he seasoned them 2, maybe three times. Once you smell the seasoning, you have to order one, whether you want one or not lol. Needless to say, I was very pleased with my burger, it wasnt over-seasoned, the crispiness of the bacon was perfect, especially being crispy but not burnt. I hate that they dont serve fries there but the bag of chips is enough, I suppose lol. Midtown is officially on my list of best burgers in Little Rock, along with The Root (South Main St) and Pull Up At Big Daves (East Roosevelt Rd.)

Visited here during a night of bar hopping for a friends bachelor party and was utterly disappointed. First there was a $12 cover fee which is a bit high considering the place was dead on a Saturday night. To make matters worse they tried to take advantage of the fact we were already a few drinks in and not give us the correct change back.

Lawrence the bartender is awesome and the chef-Chris’s burgers are delicious. But I won the beer bottle throwing contest for the first time customer, on a Thursday night with NFL-Colts vs Jets.

Most places in Little Rock have 2AM licences. Middletown is your best bet for after 2AM shenanigans. Their burgers are fantastic and just about the only good burgers available at that time of morning. They have pool, but its usually pretty crowded in there. Be first to the door if you want to play and watch out for bystanders.

Its a very friendly place. My only complaint is its not wheelchair accessible, atleast the bathrooms are. The security does help me get in so really no complaint. But I do recommend the BURGERS and live bands on the weekend.

Membership fees to step in the door of a place that smells like trash and is surrounded by crack heads?Employees have terrible attitudes. Surrounded by better locations with better music.

Its a bar, what do you want? Go weekly for trivia, the food is great here and the bartenders are very capable. If youre smoke-averse, might want to skip it though. Not necessarily their fault, theyre a smoky bar and that is what it is.

I went here after everything downtown closed at 2. It was ridiculously loud and smoky. It had the highest cover Id paid all night and there was no space to move. It wasnt bad but they bank on the fact that theres only a handful of places open past 2 💁I probably wont go back but Im not mad at them for knowing how to make their money

We went here for a crazy night on the town after wandering around the area. We played pool, drank cheap beer, ate a greasy burger and watched someone get arrested across the street in the store parking lot. All in all a wild night. Go here if you are looking for a dive bar with personality.

Always enjoyed the environment and drinks. But, having to deal with being looked directly in the face, ignored and the unmelinated gentleman next to me receiving 2 rounds and not I, has a allowed me to see that 10 years of MEMBERSHIP and RENEWAL AFTER THIS FIRE MEANS NOTHING TO MANAGER NOLA AKA TOO MANY DRUGS AT ONCE.

Mardi Gras was a great day! Hired to cater for the event and serve shrimp ettoufe! Sure the weather was questionable, but everyone who sampled the goods had good things to say.

The burgers were why I visited this place and I was not disappointed. Not a very good beer selection and only a few pool tables. I didnt get a pool hall vibe inside, but I wasnt there to play pool anyways. My complaints are the wait for drinks and an individual who didnt understand the concept of personal space. Otherwise I had a good time.

I hated every second of it there. The bartender was so rude from as soon we walked in the door. Upset shaking her head cause we didn’t want to leave an open tab with our card cause we paid with card to get in. Then she gets rude with my friend not wanting to help her read the small menu on the wall. Plus it’s dark in there. Then I tell her that I want a turkey sandwich with everything on it. Then I tell her what my friend wants on her cheeseburger and she ask me what all do she want on there. I told her put it all on the side. Cause that’s how she wanted it. She gets upset and rolls her eyes. Talks over me and ask my friend “ What all do you like?” I’m like ma’am I just told you everything on the side. She get all hostile raising her voice at me, and I had words too. But, mainly she’s lazy and isn’t there to service us as guest there. You’ll lose a lot of customers like that. I’ll never come back there ever again.

Great times and wonderful place

Really small inside and only 2 really worn out pool tables, which was disappointing considering their name has the word billiards in it. There is writing and graffiti art on every wall and it looked like a grunge/punk rocker hole in the wall bar. The burger was awesome though I will give them that

I used to love this place but apparently there listed in the wrong category they are not a restaurant as I was told by the security guard at the door you have to pay a extra $10 just to order food when I ask y his response he was that it was up to him

This place is the misfit in this area. The place is wonderfully trashy or a true dive bar. There are pool tables. The beers are cheap and cold. However, some people might find it “scary.”
