Hyde Sunset Kitchen Cocktails

I live around the corner and would be happy to try Hyde, however, judging by how the exterior of their establishment smells (typically like vomit) and how little effort is put into maintaining the exterior, I would not trust anything that came from their bar or kitchen. Please be a good neighbor and clean up your act!

After living in LA for many years, I decided to visit Hyde since most of the LA clubs are closed on Sundays. Walking in wasn’t a problem, and security was pleasant. However, when we got seated at our table, we had absolutely no space because the tables next to us were overflowing with some of the most aggressive and ill-mannered people I’ve ever encountered. I spoke to the head of security, and they brought in a rope to give us some space. The rope didn’t help, so they had to move us to a different table with fewer people.After the move, a random drunk guy ran into me and my table, spilling a $1,000 bottle of alcohol on the floor and my $1,000 sneakers. I alerted security, but management did little to remedy the situation.I have some advice for the people running this place: limit how many gremlins your promoters bring to their free tables with just one bottle of alcohol for 30 people.Additionally, if someone is paying thousands for their section, you shouldn’t allow random people to stand in their sitting areas yelling, “You don’t know who I am,” in an aggressive tone like they’re the president of the mafia.Overall, this is the worst club I’ve ever been to, but the waitresses were great and knew what they were doing.

I really hate how they just charge you whatever they feel they want to.. The man @ door charged the group in front of us $60 . However charged us $100 a person . Not to mention I paid $100 for parking for them to tell I can’t get in the club due to my $900 Versace Casual slides (yet I could put on some gym shoe s) No refund for parking just said sorry no refund … very rude upped attitudes , they could take someTips from Minnesota nice !!!

I found the astroturf rather course and grainy on the toes and calves especially but the matching pillows and lighting were the toast of the evening. Considering the price of valet and a tip, an appetizer and a bottom shelf cocktail came out to just under $160 which is simply too typical, tropical and trashy for my Tuesday

This place .... Is.... Awful. Came here at 8pm on a Saturday night. There may have been 15 other people. The place smelled like a dirty nightclub and i would simply never eat here again, ever

Walking into the club is like walking into the gates of hell. The stench of sulfur from the bathrooms is absolutely disgusting. Tables are usually sticky and gross. Food is deeply underwhelming. Just go somewhere else

I reviewed this 4 months ago but I still remember why I gave it only 1 star. I will preface this saying that I am a guy. I came here with a group of friends and my gf for a nice night of dining and dancing, 50/50 mix of males and females. After waiting for a long time in line (It must have been over 1 hr), we finally made it to the front. The guards by the entrance kept letting people in (specially groups of females or what seemed to be their buddies) and would completely ignore us, to the point where it got too late for us to even have a good time. Terrible night and terrible experience. Do not come here with hopes of getting in if you are a guy.

This things not a party, is hardly a club. Its a country club.It was dead the Saturday before the grammys, there were roughly 50 people in the place and the door guy still ignored people trying to get in while letting in others without an arbitrary fee. This is why the party is dead all over la county, some would say why traffic in la is so bad, youre not fomo anything guys. To the owners of this place, this treatment is all over la land from Montecito to big bear, Ive gotten it from grocery stores to bodyshops but it begins in Hollywood clubs Id imagine. From the viewpoint of a guy who moved to LA for the parties, its a $20 max to get into any celebrity party if any, anything over is a red flag: its dead or an indoor version of Hollywoods pink wall. The door guys dont party, dont take their word for it. Life lesson you dont want to learn the hard way, never pay door fees in cash, if it sucks youll want your money back and it will. This thing is a business venue at its peak and I dont talk shop outside of shop and definitely not on Saturday nights. Its the same review from all of us non country club members allowed in, this could have been better than sucking this bad. Some may ask why do I come here, bc its my neighborhood bar.To anyone whos not let in, I snuck in (learn to climb hedges grasshopper) and its not a party. Its 90% selfie station and 75% bunch of ppl coming to be seen with 50 of their friends, idk 1% dancing and 2% having a wild time. Theres no dancing by waitresses, thats not dancing by the crowd. Sure they fill it with pretty people, {barf} like all country clubs do but the answer to the age old question is always, personality. The party is dead in Hollywood on the weekends except off santa monica. The party doesnt get better in Hollywood, it gets worse.In Chicago we have a famous gym venue, the east bank club Im a member of and its not a real gym either but ppl do enjoy it. Not to workout though, no matter how many NBA players train here. Its not like la fixes this problem.Eventually Ill find a club where the waitresses dance bc they are treated well by mgmt and crowd. This crowd, im sorry mom and dad, is 4/5 misbehaved children.If youre loved, the remnants of nirvana play jam sessions in antelope Valley in the missile fields, the ying yang twins has the entire club step in the name of love in the foothills of big bear (there are four routes up to big bear, its the easiest route up) and if youre a fan of american olympics phelps likes craft breweries in thousand oaks. to the man who dressed, sounded and probably was Common outside asking about the venue, try elbow room off cahuenga or moms in culver city

Came with some friends and the staff brought us another receipt that didnt list any charges. We already put down $2000 for the table then another $700. We emailed the manager and he stopped responding because they ended up charging us again for the same amount. They never gave us the itemized receipt and they never took care of the extra charge on their end. Terrible service, heard their restaurant is terrible and so is their club definitely. Over priced for poor service and getting ghosted for so much money is just not acceptable.

Dropped 2k on a large table. Ordered 2 bottles and water and somehow its an additional $691, totaling $2,691.00. I was then DOUBLE charged that $691. I emailed their VIP manager (Rich) for an itemized receipt and a refund on the double charge, he kept saying the GM is only in Thurs-Sun. I emailed him back and forth for a week and he stopped responding. Dont go to a club that refuses to provide proof of an itemized receipt of the exact charges and then double charges you. Not worth it, staff is unresponsive. Criminal behavior if you ask me. No update to this day.

This is an update: I had brunch at Hyde on Sunday. The customer service was awesome the venue was really fun. Live dj and musicians plus a super cute magician walks around entertaining the guests. As for the bar tenders they made some convincing drinks. I highly recommend this restaurant. friendly professional and fast.

Thursdays Hip Hop Night is a great night and Sunday Day No Jealousy Brunch Party is to die for! The brunch food and drinks are outstanding.

Rude employees. Out bill included items that were never ordered, and the employees refused to correct the bill. Be warned- they fill top shelf bottles with bottom shelf liquors. Overall, a disappointing experience, and I won’t be returning. Hyde has been reported to the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (CA ABC) for these gross violations. The reviews published here speak for themselves.

This place thinks its really hip and cool, but its uncomfortable, smells bad and is way overpriced for very small portions. The food was alright, but not worth it. They charge $15 for parking. They act like they are busy and they cant find a table for you, but the place is empty. They try to seat you right next to other guests with no room to move and no privacy at all. I think they are trying to save the good tables so if anyone famous comes in they have tables for them. I guess its a trendy place, and Ill stick to non-trendy places with comfortable seats and good food.

Felt like Atlanta.!! Just here in LA on vacation but I had a blast.!! I highly recommend this place and shout out to the security and staff inside for being courteous, respectful, welcoming and knowledgeable about the event. I’m definitely coming back and getting a section when I visit next time.

I have been wanting to try this place for a couple of years. It looks so trendy. This place is definitely a great people observing spot! Most people are good looking and dress up!This place has a lounge area and restaurant area, separately, meaning if you dine in the restaurant, you still have to get on guest list to go into the lounge/club area. Insane!The food here is amazing! We ordered few different dishes. I had crispy brussels sprouts. Fantastic!! The potato chips has cheese on it. I can only have a few chips without the cheese. The black cod my friends had, they all love it. Ravioli was highly recommended.Like other people mentioned, this place is very pricey. You only get small portion of food here. And the valet is $15. Its in Hollywood for sure!

Loved. So much fun! Great DJ. The back of the couches is the perfect place to dance! It was really packed, but it was a better crowd type than some of the other nightclubs. No unnecessary pushing or roughness.

This was a fun place for what it was. Very nice tables if your group is buying one for the night, but if you arent, there really isnt much room for you. You cant stand in the aisles and there is no clear standing or seating area for those not buying a table. Hyde could me much improved too if it had a dance floor. The ambiance and plush seating implies its a sophisticated place to go have a drink and talk to people, but the loud music makes that nearly impossible. But without a dance floor, the loud music doesnt make much sense. I thought overall the place beautiful, but was without a true identity or clear purpose. We did not stay long.

This place is so terrible. I will never come here. The people who work here are here annoyingly rude. The bouncers are disrespectful. One worker in particular his name is Robert was getting rowdy and has no self control over his emotions he pushed me in the moment he was having a difficult time w someone else. Won’t be coming back here.

Almost no choices to serve a vegan customer. The staff was acting slightly annoyed and didnt seem to bother coming up with solution.Valet was $20. Higher than any Beverly Hills Restaurant I know.In my opinion, food is tasty but nothing extraordinary. Highly overpriced for what it is.

Great atmosphere, and pretty descent food. Look, it is what is it. You don’t go here for the food, but it’s actually pretty good. They have great drinks and bring in a great clientele, and the atmosphere is every bit what you expect. It’s a great way to spend your evening.

The lobster pasta was good! But as soon as the club started, what a disappointment. Never again. Plus it smelled like an animal died outside and the smell of decay was overwhelming.

Beautiful and nice. Great outdoor patio area and plenty of searing and dance area. Was here for private event but everything was very nice. Easy to find from sunset. After a few hours on the patio youll even forget you are in Los angeles :)

Hyde started out as a restaurant with a good vibe. As the night went on the service started to change the overall experience. First the staff would not let my friends go to the bathroom. Second the manager asked us to walk out and not come back. This is service that is not standard and definitely not expected.

Wow... I drive by this place every day on my way home and was excited to try it. When we arrived, there were 5+ hostesses who barely glanced at us, each on their phone or laptop (yes, their personal laptop). One struggled to find us seating (while the others compared their tinder profiles) and told us we could order food from the bar. When we walked in, all the tables were empty. After requesting a table again, we were told the kitchen was closing....if youre looking for a terrible LA stereotype then this is the spot.

Went here with a work friend who bought a table. Its a restaurant for dinner but then turns into a full-on club later on. The interior feels loung-y. Its way too bougie and exclusive for my personal tastes, but for many people this is their type of place.

This place has AWFUL service.I went to the nightclub part last night with a couple of girlfriends. We BOUGHT a table. I showed up later trying to find parking and I was literally ONE girl. Trying to get in. I explained to the two girls working at the line (one with brown hair at the table service, and one blonde girl they called “Barbie” about how my friends and I have a table inside and I was the last one cause I went to park the car). They’re response was “sorry we can’t help you” and continued to only allow in girls who looked like them (35+ while females with lip injections and Botox) into the club. Its absolutely ridiculous how this place treats PAYING customers. After an hour of waiting and my friends trying to get me inside but being denied by those two girls at the door I left and decided to go to bed early since I had an early flight. I have celebrity clients and will be telling them ALL how AWFUL this place is. It’s absoully ridiculous that I have to say what I do and who I work with to be treated with any kind of respect.

Notice how all the positive reviews say Quality meals? 😂 Do not buy it! The place is nice but service was horrible. Multiple hostesses behind the counter literally all on their phones and cant look up to help you, the place was dead at 10pm. Trying too hard to be high end but failing miserably lol

Really nice club if you’re there around 11pm but it gets insanely busy at 1am - even on a Wednesday to the point where you can barely move. Get here earlier to enjoy the drinks at your table and be able to dance a bit!

If I could rate a half a star I would. Incredibly Unfriendly AND Unwelcoming....then theres the food.... First it was raw...then burnt. We were told the salmon was wild but it definitely tasted farmed. I will never go back. Awful

Average food, decent service, absolutely awful security staff. If you need to use the restroom towards the end of your meal you must exit the premises and wait in the club line to re enter only to use bathroom and settle youre bill. 👎🏻

RACIST !! RACIST !! I’ve been here before with different promoters and never been charged and the first time I come with a friend that happens to be Black we’re charged after he saw her ! The bouncer said nothing to me until he seen her walk up and then all of a sudden it’s 20 dollars it’s not the money that’s a problem it’s the principal! That was disgusting never again coming back here again !!!!

The place has a trendy look but when we got there we seen cockroaches running along the floor and left. When we told the hostess, she gave me a look like I was crazy.6 people in the group and we all saw them.

Very catty. Some girl grabbed my friend and knocked her down then proceeded to pour her drink on us. We left shortly after. However, the rest of the night was nice.
