The Place Bar Grill Nightclub

Everything you need in a dive bar. It is not kid friendly, the lighting is not bright, & the location is not swanky. The beer is cold, the environment is non-judgmental, & the food is crispy (fried) and hot. One of the last places you can smoke inside (and well ventilated, by the way). The Place is a perfect local watering hole. Cheers

Went here for New Years Eve. Brought 2024 in with a bang! The service was great. Music was good. Was able to pay for our table ahead of time. Will definitely continue to frequent this venue!

First time going or even hearing about The Place. Surprisingly good place to dance. Awesome wall of screens and TVs around the dance floor playing the videos of the song being played. Wasnt crazy packed so there was plenty of room to dance. I heard the food is good too. Seemed like a locals bar/hangout spot. Not many of the other bar patrons actually danced. I might suggest if you want to go there to dance you bring your own posse. Our crew had a great time. And will be back

Local bar/pub, allows indoor smoking. Staff was courteous. One of the few late night food options nearby.Food was so-so. Burgers are not served with any sauce or ketchup. Portion size is normal, prices are a little high, but not outrageous.

Always a good time at a place where you can truly come as you are. Servers & bartenders are kind. DJ plays music, TVs throughout, & a few game machines around. Theres also a 2nd bar in the back sometimes open, a cigarette machine back there, & a deck on the side.

Love The Place. It’s better when you don’t bring a super drunk bipolar guy with you on his birthday. Candace was cool. Forgot the bartenders name before her. She was cool too. When I’m as far as Marietta it’s where I feel comfortable.

High turn over rate must not be be good place to work plus theres only one server working the floor so expect to be waiting a while for service. Bartenders are old and for the most part so is the crowd nothing but a bunch of chain smokers. Weekend DJs are bad mixers and play outdated music on repeat. If I could describe how it would feel to be in someones lungs who smokes it would have to be this place

This is a low key bar that looks and feels like it fell out of the 80s. Drink prices are reasonable. Food is pretty good. Service is great. If you cant tolerate smoking, go elsewhere. Live music/DJ/events/dancing.

Ive had 3 or 4 different things off of their menu. All was good . My favorite so far is their beef tips with mushrooms, and having talked to two other people who ate the same thing on different days, you can expect this meal to be VERY good!

The food was great and the atmosphere was so fun! As the name States its a bar a grill and a nightclub yet the place was clean, smelled clean & fresh and the food was fresh. The juke box was playing dance songs and staff and customers were having a good time, including us!!!

Great spot to have some drinks and meet up with friends. Drinks were really good. Music/DJ great for dancing. Only negative was the smoking inside. Really irritated my throat and lungs. Woke up next day and was having difficulty breathing. Would suggest a better smoke removal system.

Been here a few times..seems the DJ here on Saturdays specifically selects a nude female video version of Alan Thickest Blurred Lines. Its VERY Disrespectful to all women there. And he isnt even a great DJ ..when everyone on dancefloor he changes the music style....weird. My food and service were good though, at least. Lots of cigarette smoke indoors🤢

I go here a lot on Thursday evenings for their Open Mic nights with Mark Cook and Eddie Smith. I appreciate businesses that welcome live music and its always a great vibe at The Place in Marietta. Went there last week and met Sam behind the bar for the first time and she was awesome. She handled my bar food very well and was very engaging while handling a busy Thursday night crowd.

I come to this place a good amount of times because of friend of mine loves it here, but I don’t understand why. The music is decent but it never seems to change up, they play the same playlist every weekend. The servers are great and when I feel like tipping then I do, but the one time I don’t tip then I get punished. As a paying customer I think that’s total bs. So apparently whenever I come here now I have to go to the bar to order my drink instead of my server taking my order at my table. It defeats the whole purpose of sitting at a table. It takes a much longer time at the bar to get a drink and you have to push your way through just to get seen. Honestly I wouldn’t be so upset if the woman came to me as an adult and said something but instead she felt the need to whisper to another person in my group. Awful service! 0/10 definitely wouldn’t recommend!

Definitely one of my favorite local spots to go grab a drink and have a good time. The bartender, Sam, is really awesome. Drinks are reasonably priced. The food is also pretty good. Overall my go to spot nearby if Im trying to get out for a night.

I came to dance but when I asked if they would play a loose song, the DJ refused stating that they could only play upbeat songs even though no one else was dancing. He did play a Selena Gomez song that was still not a slow song. Very disappointed in my visit tonight.couldn’t understand why he wouldn’t play a slower song since no one was dancing anyway. 😞

Im visiting from out of town and I would say that I would definitely come back! The place is so awesome!! Sit and dine and enjoy drinks, A good selection of Dj music, old and new! Great service! Food is delicious! Relax or get up and dance! What more can I say! This place deserves more people in here for this to be a big city.

Had time to kill while waiting for a friend. Stopped in to get cold refreshments while waiting. They should add a sign outside that says smokers here. I would not have ventured in. If you dont mind smoke, stop on by. Their beer is ice cold. Happy my wait time was not too long..

Went on a Friday night, had a great time dancing the night away and a good size crowd. Music on point and decent size dance floor. Staff was friendly. Our girl Joel was super cool and attentive. People there are friendly and we met a few new friends. Didnt try the food but heard that its good. Dont care for the smoking but wasnt overbearing. More positives than negatives. Overall great place to hang out locally to have a fun night out without having to deal with the Atlanta commute. Will be back on a Saturday to check it out as well.

Horrible smell in this place not to mention the service from the female bartenders is absolutely horrible one of them that works during the day named Joelle acts like she owns the place and if she doesnt like you shes rude and will not wait on you. Alot of drug deals happen here also so be careful not a good place to meet people.

Thisbwws my first time here. Mixed crowd pretty laid back. My first bartebder (in the picture and was awesome!) made me a vodka and cran. My second bartender made me a cran and cran because there was not much vodka in that drink if any. Had to take it back to the first bartender to get it made over correctly. Happened again and the server tried to upsell me a double instead of getting the drink made right. I spoke to the barteneder that made it, same thing, she tried to upsell, then relunctantly added a little more vodka with an attitude. I probably will not be back.

Food was surprisingly good. Only tried the club sandwich. Drinks arent bad. Its the environment - not really a nightclub. Sure, theres dancing, but only by a select few that have had enough liquid courage or are too old to care. The vibe just isnt there at all.

Cute local spot in Marietta. Went to Mardi Gras day in Georgia..lol. they have karoake, good food and reasonable price drinks.

Wife and I stopped in for an anniversary meal and drinks. Not very fancy but that is how we roll. The waitstaff/bartenders were gorgeous, had just the right personalities for their jobs and were attentive. The food was surprisingly good for a corner pub. I was dropping off band promo so I met a manager and she could not have been a nicer lady. The Place is a wee bit tricky to find but worth the search. Whatever issues other reviewers had I saw none of it. I like this place and I think you will too.

Had a party in the top lounge area and it was a great success. Drink prices are reasonable and the ambiance is whatever you make of it. The music is excellent too! Just be aware that in the hot summer months they need to be reminded to crank the AC.

Still a smoking bar unfortunately. Bartender Eddie was pretty good the Saturday night my wife and I went. Small-ish dive bar with a DJ who is apparently notorious for playing the same songs every weekend. Were it not for the permitted indoor smoking, Id probably love hanging out there.

I had a dream night at The Place Bar and Grill, there were not many people, service was good, the food was good, I had a Cuban sandwich it was so big I could only eat half and take the rest home, the ambience was good and the mix of music was enjoyable, I had fun dancing the night away, literally till 3 am, I had a great time.

Don’t come here without a woman in your arms. This is NOT the lace to come if you want to dance with other people. There are no other people. Not a place to meet someone, not a place to find someone like yourself, if you’re the type to seek out fun and fun people, there are always at least 6, gray haired, bitter men sitting around the bar doing shots they’ve bought for themselves. Who wants to be here on a Friday night? Well, no one if you’re single. If you’re an old man who likes to weld himself to a chair and do shots... it’s the perfect place to meet other old men

We are friends with the bartender here. The drinks are big, the prices are small, the food is good, the people are friendly, and the bouncer has his head on a swivel when someone is ruining the mood. There is a DJ playing hits and their music videos, a dance floor, dartboards, plenty of seating, and lots of TVs including outside. Thats about all I need from a bar so we go every week.

If you get in early enough you skip out on the cover charge that more than likely goes to support the DJ on the nights hes there, usually the weekend. The Place is an alright locale if youre in the mood for all the standard local bar quality fun. Stay away from the names when ordering liquor and enjoy the sights of the dance floor.

If youre looking for relaxation, drama free, good music, and more.... Here ya go! The crowd is welcoming, the staff are very friendly, the drinks are made just right, and the food is great! I love how diverse it is and how everyone loves everyone. I go on Saturday nights and cant find a better place Id want to spend my time.

I enjoy the place a lot. Casual neighborhood bar that allows smoking inside. Food is better than expected, and sometimes so is the social scene.

The service from Joelle, Sharon, Tiffany, & the bartenders is 5 stars, never a complaint, always quick to attend to you.Drink prices are good, reasonable selection of whiskey and vodka on hand.Menu is really good, have tried almost everything on their menu and found it enjoyable.Would not give it 5 stars for the following reason:Chairs need refurbishing, they are not at all comfortable, sharpen the knives to the silverware.

When I first got my first order from Harolds it was great then I got my other 3orders it was a disappointment cause my meal was not fresh, and also missing items when I call to speak to the manager they always say that the manager is out and call back in a hour and they give untrue information

The food is great, the staff is very attentive, the crows id is awesome and the drink specials are always great. And their manager Eric is phenomenal. Theyve got something going on every night. Ill def be going back. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Well, this Place*used to be a great addition to the area. On Monday 11JUL22 a customer (who was severely overserved by Ed) took it upon himself as he was leaving to rip off the front left turn signal on my black Yamaha YZF6. I had visual he was standing by it and had no idea what he did until just after and he was gone. This is an active case with Marietta PD.I have full reason to believe the staff at the place is protecting this coward since he is a regular.White Male. Approx 5 10 250. Full Brown beard. Black shirt on that night with white whiskey written on it. Blonde female to his right, brunette female to his left who said she works in renovations on homes.He will be apprehended and face full legal consequences from a military veteran.Hassan (owner)!I have tried to reach you multiple times about this. First experience with this restaurant and Im pleased. Although it was via ubereats, I called to add a drink and Jason was so warm and friendly! That alone makes me want to visit the actual restaurant. True customer service such as this deserves all the kudos available. Thanks man!

Have been coming here for many many years. We get togo food for lunch every Wednesday for about 8 to 12 people. Great food and you get a lot for the money but Im sure they would rather you eat in and buy a lot of drinks being that it is a bar.

Great service, drinks and food. Absolutely a fun place. It wasnt too crowded, plenty of space to dance. All customers behaved very nicely and respectful.

If you are a musician and want to check out the open mic, do not waste your time. Obvious favoritism shown. We got there at 8:30 and signed up, there were about five or six people signed up before us and each person is given three or four songs to play. At about 1am we still were not called up, a totally drunk guy (and obviously a friend of the band was called up) and during his sixth song we finally left. I had a babysitter watch my daughter and spent money on food and beer JUST for the reason to go play some music, I will never return for any reason.

The waitresses and bartenders are super sweet and the food is really good. Absolutely LOVE the open mic on Thursdays! Fun place to go for sure!

Smoky dive bar. Food is good, however its expensive. Staff is like a revolving door (constant turnover). Although on par with the other bars around, the drink prices should be lower to reflect the dated decor.

Hands down the best food I have had in Georgia so far... I went on a Sunday it was quite and peaceful and Stephanie was amazing... She is a great bartender. I give them two thumbs up

Its an okay place but they allow smoking inside and those of us that dont smoke it can be awful. I dont know why they dont get filters for those guest who does smoke so there wont be so much smoke in the building. And the food and drinks werent good at all. Very disappointed

Ms. Donna, we have been selling Calamari for 8 years... Weve never gotten a bad complaint. We sell several varieties of Gin and I can assure you our drinks are not watered down. Its unfortunate our establishment isnt well suited for you, that is unfortunate. But our staff is professional, and our kitchen only serves food that is fresh, and cooked to order.

The drinks are watered down, but the atmosphere is fun and so are the people. The food is just ok but the portions are generous. The DJ...Eh! My date liked it though, so well be back

Came here today to pick up lunch for myself and co-workers once I arrived I wasnt greeted it took 2 mins for someone to speak to me than once the waitress spoke she asked me if I was picking up an order I said yes. She then proceeded to say I will be with you in a min. Please note that I can see my orders right by the bar. Ten mins later I am still waiting and the waitress is just walking by, so then a group of men enter the restaurant sit right next to me and the same waitress take their drink order ect. At this point I get up and find another waistress and let her know that my food has been there the entire time I need to return to work if she could please ring me out and she did. Im not sure if I was ignored and treated poorly because I am black or because I am a women! I work right across from the place at the Wellstar building and I wont recommend anyone from there to eat at this place. And then I called the place during my lunch and asked to speak with a supervisor and sadly there isnt one there at the moment!

Typical bar, friendly bartender. One of the few that still permits smoking. Some bar food options available. Good jukebox. Plant of screens for watching your favorite sporting event.

Guys Im a truck driver and enjoy coastal food iv eaten the fish tacos here which were no joke they were tasty and plentiful!The real reason im making this post is the shrimp and grits!!!!Man iv been all over the states but havent yet been able to beat there shrimp and grits there no joke.The grits are squared off in a nice square which is Simi hard not runny.then glazed with sauces and shrimp!Reguarless if your coming here to drink and socialize or just order food I would not pass this place up so big thumbs up from me!!!!

My take out order was wrong twice. It use to be good in the past. Not sure if they have changed cooks are the person taking the order needs more training.

Smokey restaurant. If youre a smoke this is a great place for you. If not a smoker then stay away. Food was ok bar food, but too pricey for the quality you get. If youre a drinker and smoker taste wouldnt matter to you so you would love this place. Not some place i will visit again.

I worked across the street from The Place and we always do group orders to different places. Dont get me wrong the food was good but it never about food with me and my fellow co-workers it is about the customer services... That is why I rate No only THE PLACE as a 1 star but Jessica gets a -10 stars for her Rudeness, Un-Professionalism and Accusation (of trying to steal). We place 6 separate orders and one of the orders came in 2 boxes. Jessica took one of the orders of Philly back due to her being slow and not able to add but subject and did not try to check to make sure she was doing this correctly. Mine you we had 4 orders of Philly steaks, 1 order of spicy crab bites and 1 order of 2 quesadillas (1beef and 1 chicken) if we do the math that is 6 orders only the crab bites and the quesadillas with 1 philly was an order of 3 items paid together. Jessica accuse us of getting to much when we were short an order and then stated that they will could never do delivery orders from them again. When in the past we have always done 6 or more orders to them almost every Friday but we would pick it up because today we learn that they do deliver. Jessica made the decision not manager that we are forbidden to make delivery orders from them. So since we are just across the street and a well known company. Dont worry about it. You will never get another order period from us as a whole. Yes we are letting EVERYONE know. Jessica you may have cost your bosses a lot due to your Ignorance. And FYI You need to be mindful of the way you talk to people Jessica because one day you might lose your job.

We have ordered lunch from The Place several times and for the first time they delivered lunch to our office which was a disaster. Now every time we have ordered in the past we picked up the order and never had a problem and food is always good. But this time not only will we not be ordering from them again customer service is really bad.

This place is pretty bad. Ordered Calamari and it was dreadful. Drinks were worse, had a Tangery & tonic was like drinking pure tonic water. Bad when they are charging $7.50 for a so called drink. Absolutely dreadful for the price. Wont be going back.

As far as local lounges go this one was pretty good. Wide range of music and crowd as far as age and race. Not that either of those things matter as long as the people are cool, and they were.

Horrible service! Bartender was rude . I do not recommend ESPECIALLY if you are of color . The bartender did not respond to any questions . I was immediately stared at upon entering . One guy even said “this place isn’t a melting pot” . Very rude and discriminatory.

How about a stuffed pepper with meat, baked spaghetti like you used to have, sloppy joes or some other type of bbq sandwich, cuban sandwich, meatloaf more than twice a year. Is that enough suggestions? By the way on a positive note the wait staff is awesome though!

Well it was 99 cent taco Tuesday they werent all that great but the street tacos were amazing favors pretty authentic my nachos with beef were not all that good didnt finish him the margarita was outstanding🥳🥴

The food is over priced. $14 for a flavorless burger is nonsense. Next time ill get a burger from a fast food place at least their burger will have flavor.

Dont waste your time...I stopped by had $50 worth of drinks & food and was asked to sign credit receipt...I did then a few days later I found I was charged $50 tip from the bar tender...I spoke w the owner who stated oh..our patrons all do that well I will never go back again...thats called stealing!!!
