Beautiful update from exhale spa! Love the new furniture and rugs. Looking forward to spending more time here. I love all the exercise classes and teachers. Massage therapists are great too! The sauna is always hot and the womens changing room is stocked. Front desk staff is very friendly and the retail is awesome. Lots of great skin and haircare products along with workout clothes.

I have visited many spas over the years, but the massage I received here was truly exceptional. The management team, particularly Katie and Kara, provided outstanding service from the moment I arrived until my departure. Thank you both for your warm hospitality and for making my afternoon unforgettable. Your charisma and positivity are unmatched. Until next time.

I called the spa to schedule some services for myself and my wife and I had the pleasure of being helped by Kara. She was so thorough in explaining the types of services and really took her time to make sure I understood all the different options and pricing variations. She even went as far to ask if I was a local or not and explained some perks of becoming a member of the spa and said we could cover more in detail upon my arrival.I dont often take the time to write reviews but when someone is that patient, thorough and helpful over the phone it shows their passion and willingness to ensure customer satisfaction and it should be shared. In todays world only the negative is ever spoken about and this is an occasion where the good, no, the exceptional should also be displayed. I am looking forward to my treatment with my wife, if it is half as pleasant as my convo before even entering the spa I know it will be one to remember. Thank you so much Kara for your help. Keep up the amazing work!

Extremely horrible experience for my wife, so much so we are considering legal options. First, the spa had flooding again, requiring male workers to be in the spa to fix it. That alone should have closed the spa. Instead, the took bookings without forewarning the clients. My wife showed up for her massage, and was led to an area by “Kara”, who just pointed to lockers, a single chair in a room, and led my wife to believe that the area is where she should change. Upon beginning to change, male workers came and went through this area while my wife was naked. Very disturbing, bringing my wife to tears. I could go into many more details, but I will save that for my lawyer and the owner of the spa (which, is not the Ritz). What added insult to injury was that “Kara” never apologized, never acknowledged my wife when she left distraught. Horrible customer service. I would give ZERO stars, but I have to give one to give a review.

Disappointing at best, although the massage was nice, at least for one of us.Planned a spa date with my boyfriend for the first weekend of Miami Spa Month(s). We are South Florida residents, in our mid-30s. Don’t frequent spas but go 3-5 times a year as a treat, all over the US.Here is our honest review:THE GOOD:- they were able to book us on a same day notice- spa wasn’t crowded at all- promotional value $139 per person was good for the day pass and 60 mins deep tissue massage. We didn’t use our free fitness classes that were also included.- were able to combine our single massages specials into one room for a couples experience.- my massage therapist, Noel, was really good. She made sure the deep tissue treatment was adjusted to accommodate some sore back muscles for me, and added little extras (heating pillow around my neck) to make the massage wonderful.- the views of the beach and channel were lovely.THE BAD:- this spa is literally falling apart! Considering that we are inside the Ritz-Carlton this was not the experience we imagined. Broken facilities (steam room at men’s locker), leaking faucets, dirty floors, etc. Robes and towels are in poor shape.- the service was shockingly bad! I mean, we get it, it’s Miami and we didn’t expect much, but to have no towels, slippers and other supplies stocked for spa guests and having to go back to front desk to ask is kind of ridiculous. When we first arrived, the front desk person seemed super confused with our reservation but she may have been new. Still, this is in the Ritz!- not cleaning throughout the day. Zen lounge felt filthy and literally no one cleaned anything as things got used. Not only a poor look for an already subpar facility, but really shocking that in 4 hours we were there, things were left untouched (used towels on floors, no clean towels, etc) and it wasn’t even busy- no water stations anywhere, you have to ask front desk to bring you some. At least they had the tea area.- facilities are NOT co-ed, except for the zen lounge and outdoor terrace.- we asked about the pool access and were told it’s not included but can be added for $200/person. Don’t waste your money! The thing is, you can actually get to the pool deck from the spa. We looked at the lounge chairs and saw the shape they were in and so glad we didn’t add that on. Insane how poorly everything was maintained. We managed to still enjoy our time together and laugh about it. We are just glad we didn’t pay the full price for this spa and came in during the special. We’ve been to much better places for less money, like the Maui Spa in Boca is one example. Carillon Miami is also great for all the amenities they offer in a day pass, but they are yet to fully reopen.See pictures for details.

Wow Wow Wow!!!I unfortunately was in a traumatic accident two weeks ago.I had seen a variety of doctors and physical therapists; chronic pain in every inch of my body; no medicine was helping and any professional was reluctant to make a recommendation of what to expect in terms of improvement or how long the process would take.I was not physically capable of getting out of my bed without help, and was under constant supervision to ensure my condition did not worsen.Entering Exhale I was expecting to at least get a leisure massage, something to temporarily take the pain away, or at least I was hoping to temporarily feel better.I shuffled into Exhale, dragging my feet on the ground, and leaning on objects to keep my balance.Fate works in mysterious ways: I was paired with Zudila. I explained my condition and simply hoped for the best.Ive lost track of the amount spent on doctors advice, physical therapy, and advice that led nowhere.Zudila was able to read beyond the pain points I noted.I couldnt clearly explain what hurt because everything hurt, sitting hurt, standing hurt. Everything hurt. Its as if Zudila rewired my entire body. She literally gave me back my ability to walk ✨✨✨-I was able to walk back home from the massage, while I couldnt stand for more than a few minutes at a time proceeding the accident.Forever grateful :)What is amazing is that I had come back again. On my second visit I was capable of walking, but it seems that because some of the pain went away, the pain now became apparent in new parts of my body.Zudilas skills seem to be on a g-d given magical level: After my second session I was able to carry things. I went from walking to (slow) jogging. Its quite amazing that despite meeting all of these professionals that gave me advice that went nowhere, Zudila proved to be the only one that was actually helpful and capable of making me not only feel better, but also enabled me to walk and use my motor skills.Forever Grateful 🙏 🙏 🙏

This place has completely deteriorated and they don’t seem to care. I’ve been an exhale member for over a year at this point. In the last year alone the Sauna has been broken for atleast 6 months and now the steam room is broken as well. One of the showers are broken, 90% of the lockers don’t work at all. They no longer give out robes unless your getting a massage service, no more water bottles , it’s dirty, smells like mildew , no more monthly parking fee , $15 parking for each visit, beach access is mostly “black out date” . Ritz Carlton and Exhale brands should both be ashamed. Feels like a motel 6.

We have been members for 2 years and this place has been progressively getting worse and worse until we finally had it and stopped our membership. The sauna in the men’s locker didn’t work for almost one year. Now the steam room is broken. They only have one shower in operating condition. 90% of the lockers are broken. They changed the towel service to these tiny ones that look like they for a child. The locker rooms are filthy and smell like mold. They don’t have an attendant so there are used towels and robes all over the floor. Finally my wife and I went today for a scheduled 4:45 one hour couples massage, arrived well on time and they tell me that our massages are going to be cut short because the masseuses have another massage at 5:30 i complained and said that’s not my problem. The manager lied to my face accusing us of being late. Well if we are scheduled for a one hour massage at 4:45 which I have the confirmation on my phone to prove it, then how can you have someone else scheduled at 5:30? Who is the LIAR????? This place for belong in Bal Harbour and the Ritz Carlton should not be affiliated with it. Horrible. Don’t waste your time and money.

It’s a nice place and the atmosphere is chill. I scheduled an hour couples massage but it was short after receiving incorrect info from the girl at the front desk when they opened. She said we should arrive at our appointed time which was later in the day. What we weren’t told was that we had all day access to the spa since we booked something. So the massage was cut short and after settling in it was approximately 45 minutes. I initially left a 3 star review and when the hotel read it Thalia, the assistant Director at Bal Harbour, reached out and refunded me 25% for each massage. She was very professional and wanted to keep her customers happy. This massage was expensive but I don’t think any more than any other upscale spa. They do add and additional non negotiable 20% for a tip. I would prefer to add my own tip depending on the service I receive and the experience I have at the spa

As a member I can use facilities and gym at the Ritz. The venue motivates me to excercide as well as the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I got gifted a massage from a dear friend and Exhale made the experience wonderful! The director Chelsea arranged everything and the entire process was seamless. Her professionalism is unmatched! I was greeted by Caroline when I arrived and her bubbly personality is so infectious just being in her presence elevated my mood. When I got to the Zen lounge my brain slowed down and I was able to relax and unwind in preparation for my massage. Noel was my masseuse, and she has the magic hands (or elbows, or knuckles, or whatever she was using!) I went in with a very bad muscle spasm from a pinched nerve, which had been present for 3 weeks, and Noel worked hard on that. After she finished the pain was diminished, and by the following morning it was gone completely! Overall the experience was fantastic, and I would gladly pay to go back again next time I’m feeling a little stiff.

I never write reviews but I had such a terrible experience I felt the need to write one. The whole service is not worth the money. The steam room has mold inside and smelled like sweat. The sauna didnt work. You would think this experience would be like no other because it’s the Ritz but don’t let that fool you. The massage was mediocre. I expressed I was not happy with my service and they did not care at all. I would stay far far away. Way better places worth the money.

This place has potential but her customer service for members needs to be worked on tremendously. I’ve been charged twice without any communication as to why. The 1st time was for a class I signed up for but couldn’t make it. No one explained that I’d receive a charge the NEXT day if I didn’t show up. As a member when booking that should be explained. So I had to get that refunded. Another time was for another class, I had a class pass for that day. After the class I didn’t check out right away but already received a charge. When I already explained when booking I has a free class. I was told “oh we thought you weren’t checking out so we just automatically charged the card”. The lack of communication and the attitude makes no sense. For the amount you pay monthly and what’s offered it’s definitely not worth having the spa membership.

Review №35

To summarize, I received a mediocre service (as you’d expect at any average franchise spa) at 4 times the price. Here is a bullet point description of my experience:-Arrived for our appointment. Lady at the front was on the phone. No eye contact, no acknowledgement of our presence; after waiting for about 5 minutes her phone call was over, again no smile, no proper greeting. We got checked in and showed to the lounge.-The atmosphere doesn’t make you feel to be at a high end spa. Facility is relatively worn out; there’s an underwhelming tea station. Even the last coat of paint on the walls seems very lousy. All fixture corners are covered with paint.-The massage therapist, Hans, was welcoming and showed me to the room. He had it written on a sheet that I’m there for 90 min deep tissue massage. Asked me what areas to focus on and which areas to avoid.Started with the massage, absolutely did not spend more time on the areas I asked him to focus on, treated the injured area I asked him to avoid the same as anywhere else, and absolutely did not do a deep tissue, more like a Swedish massage. Several times throughout the session I could feel his breathe on my face. I thought to myself, at least he’s wearing a mask thanks to COVID. Once I opened my eyes at the end, he wasn’t wearing a mask! Also No water to drink in the massage room.-Went to the concierge to check out, I was determined not to tip due to the lackluster service I got. My wife was done with her massage a bit sooner and had handed the credit card to another lady at the front. She ran the card and asked “is 20% gratuity okay?” Rather than handing you the machine to tip at your discretion. I guess this is an effective technique for pressuring customers into their desired amount of tip.Staying at Ritz Carlton, we booked this massage expecting a level of care and customer service equal to the hotel! It was day and night unfortunately and we left the spa longing for way more and feeling extremely underwhelmed and unhappy about our experience. From customer service to the actual massage, all was pretty disappointing.

Hubby and I are both doctors and decided to have a day off through resort pass here. Massages were actually good but they charged my credit card without asking or telling me in checkout as I already paid beforehand through resortpass. Later that day, I saw my CC had a $450 charge. When asking for a refund, they gave a partial refund saying the rest was for a tip while we gave the masseuses cash tip. Called for the last week and a half to speak to a manager who I finally spoke with today, who noted the masseuses told her they did NOT get cash tip from us. Manager noted it’s their policy to charge 20% for all services and not to give cash tip next time and she will not be refunding me the remainder $70. What a disgrace to the two masseuses for lying and to the front desk employee charging me without notice (there’s a posted sign apparently somewhere?), and to the delay in getting back to me. Never again.

Review №38

Extremely disappointed about my recent experience at the Exhale spa at the Ritz. Where do I start:1) I called 2 months in advance to reserve multiple spa appointments for my 5 girlfriends coming into town to celebrate a babymoon. We had confirmations of our appointments. When we showed up the day of our appointments, to our horror, the spa had no record of our reservations. When we told them “Barbie” was the person we booked them through, the ladies at the front desk looked at each other and said to themselves- “oh- that’s why”- inferring that Barbie must have had a poor reputation of booking appointments. We were devastated as we looked forward to these appointments for months now.2) While the spa was able to accommodate most of our bookings, it failed to disclose that one of the massages was a back to back booking. Thus, my 60 minute massage was actually only 45 minutes and this was NOT disclosed to me at the time I accepted the service.I had only found out it was going to be cut short because my masseuse had a piece of paper in my massage room that outlined her schedule for the day. As I looked at it, there was going to be NO way I would be done in time for her next scheduled massage. When I asked my masseuse if there would there be time for my full 60 minute massage, she assured me that there would be time and so we proceeded. Of course: she ended my massage at the 45 minute mark (I had checked my watch immediately before and after). I did bring this to the attention of my masseuse, annoyed because I didn’t get the full 60 minutes as agreed upon.Upon checking out of the spa, Kara, the lady working the front desk asked how my massage was, to which I replied “Great, but I only got a 45 minute massage”.Kara then proceeded to unprofessionally argue with me about how sometimes some people will get a shorter massage and this was normal. For $180 dollars for 60 minutes, this is NOT normal. I am paying $180 for a 60 minute massage, so cutting 15 minutes of my massage time is significant given that I was not made aware of this before.Kara refused to make any sort of discount for this mishap & suggested I take this out of my masseuse’s tip, which she said was a mandatory 20%. I asked where was a sign or any written agreement stating that a 20% tip is mandatory at the spa. She could not produce anything that said a 20% was mandatory. She kept suggesting that I take this out of the masseuses tip. When I said, “OK, I tip 0%”, she said “you cannot tip 0%, I cannot ALLOW you” to tip 0%.I again, asked her to show me where it says the spa doesn’t allow a zero percent tip. She couldn’t produce anything in writing.I am completely appalled that: 1) the manager suggest I reduce a masseuses tip for an error the spa appointing service made; 2) the manager stated that a 20% tip was mandatory and demanded such and 3) no consessions were made due to my 60 minute massage being only 45 minutes. Not to mention, the utter disorganization that resulted in the spa forgetting to schedule our massages in the first place, even after a confirmation. When I asked Kara to speak to a manager, she responded “I am the manager”. She then continued to escalate the situation to the point where I was extremely uncomfortable arguing with her about in front of others. This spa experience was supposed to relaxing and pleasant. We had looked forward to it for months. This was by far the most UNpleasant and stressful spa checkout experience of my life.I ended up tipping my masseuse 10% because I knew it was unfair that the manager of this spa suggest that I eliminate the masseuse’s entire tip because my massage time was cut short. For the record, I spent $660 for the experience that day and $180 of it was my 60 min massage that was unexplainably cut short to 45 minutes. It was an extremely disappointing spa experience all around- especially for the Ritz. I left feeling very stressed and upset. Would not recommend.

I have been going to yoga, barre, and HIIT classes here for several years and typically enjoy it. Today however, was a terrible experience. Exhale needs to do a better job of blocking clients from coming into class late - especially a yoga class. There were only 5 people in this huge studio and two woman came in late while we were relaxing and setting intentions. One of them loudly plopped her mat less than 2 feet away from me, between me and the wall/window, where my bag and water were (so I had no easy access to my water other than to practically climb over her). I gathered my belongings and moved several feet away from her, but I was so upset that I couldnt even begin to relax and enjoy the class - the whole energy from her set me off and I got up and left. This woman had zero regard for those around her, and I truly hope Exhale enforces its late policy and refuses to let people into class late like this. So disappointing.
