The service was good.Make sure to show up 10-15 minutes before your appointment to fill out paperwork or that time will cut into your session.The massager stopped before my actual time was up and I had a slight rash on my face afterwards from the face rest you put your face on.Not sure if I will go back or not

I never thought I would be a person who went to a chain for something like body work. Youness has been my massage therapist for years now. He takes special care to make sure people feel honored and comfortable. Hes far and away the best massage therapist Ive ever had. I take it as a good sign that the company has been able to keep such a skilled, personable therapist for as long as Ive been seeing him and Im hopeful they continue to make it livable and enjoyable for employees like him to stay!

The whole experience was disappointing, but the massage was especially. The paperwork was uncomfortable because they sat with me with a tablet as I completed things such as my medical history, etc. They could have had more hospitality, it was clear someone was being trained in/new.The massage was horrible, it was more of a rub than a massage. She was in her externship and had mentioned that shes done 130 massages so far. That is something I think that either should be discounted or told to a client ahead of time.I went in for pain due to knots in my back making it so I couldnt lift my arm/shoulder. I had told her that was the reason I was there. When she asked if I was there to relax, I specifically told her no, it is to deal with pain. I also said I would like to focus on my back and neck to remedy that pain. She suggested a full body with a focus on my back. That seemed fine to me since everything is connected, and Ive had other masseuses suggest the same (and did focus on my back). She focused mainly on my arms and legs, and spent less than 5 minutes rubbing my back. She also wasnt all that smooth with it. When she did the glute area with the sheet over my body, her hands bounced instead of smoothly massaging. There was zero resolution for my pain.Throughout the massage, she kept mentioning the word relax, saying things such as, Im so glad you came to Massage Envy to relax, which told me she didnt listen to my concerns at all. She was extremely soft handed, which is what I mean when I said she was rubbing. I assumed she would use more pressure to work out the knots in my back once she got to it, but she just did the same motions rubbing my back. Nothing seemed to focus on working out the knots. I also had realized that she never asked me where or which side the pain was on. That should have been my first indication that there was an issue.When I left, I was about in tears because I had taken time out of work to get relief from the pain, but there was zero relief. I went home and laid on tennis balls to try to work them out. I would say it was money wasted and will never go to a Massage Envy again.After the massage, I looked at reviews and see she has been mentioned in other poor review. She was personable, but definitely needs work on her trade.

This was the worst massage experience I have ever had. The therapist and the facility were disappointing, to say the least. I booked a 60min appt. Arrived 15min early and was led to a waiting room that had a TV with a strange screensaver flashing images of animals. I don’t recall if there was music playing but I could hear the staff chatting & laughing which is not a bad thing but usually once you are led to the inner waiting room it’s a quiet & serene environment. The therapist finally called me about 10min after my scheduled appt time, 5p. The actual massage didn’t start until 5:15 and then abruptly ended at 5:55. I told the masseuse at least 4 times to apply lighter pressure which they didn’t do. The entire massage was aggressive and abrupt. It started w/o lotion on my back which doesn’t feel good at all. When the masseuse abruptly ended the massage, they quickly walked out of the room. I dressed as fast as I could. The masseuse rushed me out the door and was standing at the front desk with their coat on. I wanted to mention my poor experience but was uncomfortable with the therapist checking out with I assume a manager or supervisor with their end of shift responsibilities. And at that point I just wanted to leave. The facility is also far from a relaxing environment. Way too bright and loud, the carpet clearly dirty. Thank goodness I had a gift card. I’ll never return to this clinic.

Ive been seeing Youness for awhile now, and every time I get a massage from him its been an excellent experience! I often have issues with muscle spasming in my neck & upper back, and he always knows what to do to help me feel better :) I also really appreciate him creating a space that feels accepting & safe, especially since Ive struggled to find that as a Trans person. He has always made me feel respected & consent is very important to him, so if I need him to stop or change how hes doing the massage, for any reason, he will do it! I definitely recommend seeing Youness!

Mary was by far the best deep tissue masseur Ive ever been to. She explained the whole process during the appointment. Great environment as well, very calming. Plus the front desk was friendly and informative as well. Definitely recommend and I will be going back.

Chloe is five stars. Id give 5 stars if the waiting room was a bit more chill. Perhaps soothing sounds and non-repeating slides on the tv? Im no guru so these are just some thoughts Ive had. I need to mention again that Chloe is amazing and my life has improved considerably after going to her for about six months now.

What an amazing Massage I was given.. It was probably the best one Ive ever had. I love that they got me and my fiancee appointments the very same day within two hours of the time I called. The introductory special was a great value. I cannot remember my massage therapist name. However he had the most amazing hands and I felt so much better it was Unreal. My fiance had a female massage therapist I believe her name was Jamie she was awesome as well. It was his first time getting a massage and he became really excited to go back right after we left. Great job Massage Envy love your staff and this location.

Ive received good massages and not so good massages at this location. Overall, my biggest complaint is Ive never received a massage for anything remotely close to the time slot reservation. I usually do a 90 minute full body, and more times than not, I spend 10 minutes undressed and on the table waiting for the massage tech (I only need 2 minutes, tops) then they finish 10 minutes early to give me time ready change back (again, 2 minutes needed, maybe). The last time I went I had a 90 minute massage scheduled for 3:30pm. I showed up 10 minutes early, the massage began at 3:45pm and I was back in my car parked 3 city blocks away pulling out at exactly 4:55. Do the math on that then add up the $$ Ive spent over the last 2 years or so on nothing, sitting, waiting. Someone mentioned massage roulette, I couldnt agree more. I honestly go to the same couple people who are really great, kudos to them. The times Ive strayed, I got someone that rubbed my back in circles for an hour. Its a business and things happen, I get it. But as a consistent member that gets nearly $100 debited to the company every month, its fair for us to expect more from them.My feedback is for betterment and customer support, not to compromise any future business or otherwise. With that said, thanks for all you do, and hopefully this feedback helps customer service and rapport later on.

The app is TERRIBLE. The therapists are GREAT. Can’t update email in the app. Can’t find any “help” in the app. Staff at the franchises are unable to help with the app. This has been a longstanding issue the company needs to address. (Also, there is a manager at this location that repeatedly interrupts and speaks over her front desk personnel and it is clearly embarrassing to them, and poor etiquette)

It’s near impossible to find available appointments for anyone who works “standard” business hours unless you book months out. Booking a massage months out is not a realistic option for me and my schedule. Managers are mostly in-helpful. Oh, we can use these credits anywhere? I pay this location because I live near this location! The staff is mostly great but the corporate policies NEED TO CHANGE!!

If youre looking for a deep tissue massage you need to meet Danielle! Although I bet she is great on the other forms too! I feel invigorated!

I’ve been going to this ME since they opened a few years ago. Bria the manager is really nice, she greets me by name! I love Vivian one of the estheticians. She never makes me feel bad about any skin problems I have, and she’s very knowledgeable about different treatments, products etc. She really works with me to find what’s best for my skin. Mary is a really good deep tissue therapist; I saw her for 2 years. Ultimately I now see an independent massage therapist due to a better value, but the ME membership is a great way to get you in the habit of taking care of your body, and soon you’ll realize when your body is saying it’s time for another session (massage or facials). Seems to be a good value for the facial services, and I enjoy the results.

Janelle is a great masseuse! I had a case of a bad lower back. She seemed pretty knowledgeable about why that would happen and was able to work on the right areas of my back. I would definitely recommend her to anyone that needs a massage and does not have a regular masseuse they prefer to go to (I dont get massages regularly, so I was glad I found a good one!). The service at the reception is pleasant as well, I had to wait about 10 mins from my scheduled time, but Janelle was apologetic about the delay and did not shortchange me on my massage time.

Thanks for telling me my 8 free credits would expire after my membership was up. Pretty hard to use them when you can’t get an appointment. Massage Envy is definitely a scam. I’m not signing back up just get what I already paid for

I don’t review on Google, I think this is my 2nd review ever.... but I just had the best experience and needed to make sure that was known. I have been going to Massage Envy for 3 months. I always get welcomed with a smile. I got my massage yesterday and I am still feeling so relaxed. I highly recommend Kamille! She listened to where I felt I needed work done, worked those areas and still had time to give me a full body massage in 60 minutes. The BEST MASSAGE I’VE EVER HAD! EVER!!!I already have another booked with here.

I have been a regular client of Youness for almost two years. He does an excellent job. Spends time to understand the areas I want to focus on. Once he starts, usually uncovers another area or two that need additional work. I always come away feel much better. Youness is very friendly and professional as is the rest of the staff. Highly recommend.

Therapist roulette. Cross your fingers and hope for a good one. I had 4 awful massages at this location. I complained and they flat out told me the therapist was having hand problems and she herself needed therapy. That was it. That was the manager (Mikes) resolution. Mike did not take personal accountability but pushed the blame off to someone else. I found one guy that was OK but he spent the last 30 min of every 90 min doing some weird thing to my neck skin that felt weird. I am still going to this location because I found a good deep tissue guy and he is fantastic. If he were to leave I wouldnt come back at all.Update: No longer going here. Too many issues with poor quality massages.

I’m going to start this review saying Youness is amazing and the best masseuse I’ve ever had.But, the front desk people, one older lady in particular, is super rude. When I made my appointment, it was for 2pm. I really look forward to my massages. It is the one time I can relax. The day of my appointment, I got a call from them at about 1:15pm asking where I was because they had it as my appointment was at 1pm. I very nicely said that they were mistaken, my appointment was at 2pm. But they said they had it for 1pm. I kindly said that I really hope they will not penalize me for that, since I am 100% sure I made the appointment for 2pm. I got there in 15 minutes and Youness only had time for a 1 hour appointment instead of my 90 minute appointment originally scheduled. No big deal, I understand. But then they charged me for the full 90 minutes, even though this was clearly not my fault. The older front desk lady was extremely rude to me when I asked why they were charging me for something that was on them. Ugh.The ONLY reason I am coming back is because Youness is great. Just make sure the scheduling part is correct with them if you chose to go to this location. I am a loyal customer and this will be my 4th massage in 2 weeks. But this completely shook my faith in the company. Here’s hoping they will make it up to me.

I was a member for a few years and enjoyed the service for the most part. The past 12 months I can never get in for a message and/or facial. This has been an issue for a really long time. They seem to have a lot of trouble keeping staff. Booking on line, they are up to 30 plus days out at some points. I have lost my banked sessions because they expire before I can get in for a service. I am going back to a regular salon for now.

Ruby was super sweet but not very receptive…I asked for firm to deep and she did it semi-firm and when I asked for an increase of pressure she did but then it quickly flipped back to medium-light. I told her prior to the massage that I wanted to focus on my low back and glutes and she worked on my back but never massaged my glutes. She did some pressure release over the sheet but never lifted it up and actually really massed my glutes or my hips after I told her they were sore 😞 it was overall fine but I’m really sad because this was my monthly massage and I’m gonna be flying the next couple days and really wanted some relief for my back and buns since I’ll be sitting so much. Location was clean but I’ll prob pick a different therapist next time.

I received the best massage Ive ever gotten from Cori. He is extremely educated and gave me the best insight on where my chronic back pain is stemming from. He gave me more information than any doctor Ive ever seen in the last 12 years. Definitely recommend. Price is pretty steep but if youre desperate for relief its worth it.

I think this could be my first ever google review. A real shame it had to be a negative one.. I just left the Downtown Massage Envy location after having walked out of a massage, for the first time in my life. I had booked an hour and a half massage initially but was called an hourish before the massage with an apology from Massage Envy that there was a scheduling error and that the massage would be reduced to an hour. I suppose in hindsight it worked out for the best?After being escorted to the room my therapist made a point that she specializes in trigger point therapy. Awesome, i thought. A few minutes in, i think to myself, ok, shes just letting the oil soak in and any minute she is going to start working in my knots and start using some more force. Nothing yet..She asked multiple times throughout the massage how the pressure was and every time i responded with something similar to please feel free to use quite a lot more pressure. At one point I jokingly said if you are pissed off at someone please feel free to take it out on me. No change in pressure.I want to make it very clear she was very nice. But to have her be selected as a therapist of choice for a scale of 3 of 4 for a pressure rating is ridiculous.At 40 minutes in to the massage she started working on my forearms. You know those points further up your forearm that a therapist presses that make you grit your teeth? Nothing. At this point I literally asked her to press as hard as she possibly could. No change in pressure. I was sure she was joking. Nope!At this point I knew i was just wasting my time and decided to call it. She apologized and I got changed and left. The team member working the front desk apologized on her behalf and was nice enough to ask the manager for a discount on the next massage. Like, Im coming back.Amazingly the manager didnt even both to leave his/her desk to see how the situation could be rectified or at least get some feedback.Real shame I suppose but with the average ratings as they are I am not surprised.Save your money and buy yourself a lacrosse ball and foam roller.

Just had my first massage with Kamille and it was honestly the best massage I’ve had. This was my first time going to this ME location and everyone was so nice and helpful and seemed genuinely interested in my needs and satisfaction with my massage. I came in with a lot of tension in my back and shoulders and had scheduled a 60 minute massage. I chose to include added BioFreeze muscle therapy to my session, too. Kamille varied pressure often, providing more pressure in hotspots where I needed more relief (heavy to deep tissue), more soothing massage in areas that were not as tense (light to medium), and made sure to check in mid-session on how everything was feeling. When I got done with my session, Olivia B., another girl at the front desk, and the manager were very helpful and congratulated me on having some of my problems helped or resolved. They did introduce me to their membership options but weren’t pushy and didn’t pressure me at all, just let me know that it was a more cost-effective option if I choose to make regular session appointments in the future. I look forward to returning in a few weeks for another massage with Kamille. Thank you ME Downtown Minneapolis team! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Upon arrival we were greeted with smiles and welcomes. After completing a quick survey, I was introduced to my Esthetician Amy Schack. Amy was very knowledgeable about the services and products.I received a wonderful facial, decided on the products I would purchase and closed out my session.Overall I had a wonderful facial and would recommend the Washington Street Massage Envy in Minneapolis, MN to everyone

There is a bit of roulette experience with the masseuses. But one you find the good ones, stick with them! I had terrific massage experiences with both Kimille and Youness. They both listened to what I said I needed and they also listened to my body. I saw Kimille once and she was lovely and warm. Unfortunately, she was sick the next time I had booked with her, so I was given another masseuse, and that masseuse was annoying. Wont even bother to go into it. Finally, I tried to book with Kimille again, but she wasnt available, so I was assigned Youness. And I am so glad that happened. We met three times in three weeks and each time was a terrific experience. He knew just when to press hard and when to back off. He listened to what I asked for, and created a very safe and relaxing environment for a massage. I wish I lived in Minneapolis so I could go back!

This is my third time with Massage Envy- Downtown and today i found my masseur that i want to go back next time. I had a 60 mins session with Youness. He assessed where to focus based on what my concern is and my daily routine. My shoulder and neck feel much better after the session. It was completely worth it and glad that I try the session with Youness!

I am a Massage Envy member. I travel throughout the US for work and I am so happy I came to this location. Janelle was AMAZING! I have seen two Physical Therapist and a Chiropractors and I haven’t found the relief that Janelle gave me. She listened to my issues and came to a solution that nobody else had.... and I’m feeling better than I have after any session! Thank you Janelle! I wish I could travel with you!

IT IS A SIGNED LEGAL DOCUMENT AND THE MEMBER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR READING ALL THE FINE PRINT. This was the managers explanation to why I could not use the prepaid sessions my daughter transferred to me after she moved away from Minneapolis and ended her membership. It doesnt matter that she didnt receive a copy of the signed legal document, or what the receptionist said. If your experience is like mine you won’t get a great massage— but you WILL get screwed.

Loved ittt!! Been down south for 10 days now had my baby early down in Mississippi..finally almost back to MN! Couple hours left & boy Im in so much pain. Ill be definitely going back with in couple days of being back. I need it so bad! & not only that but I can get a actual real massage not one working around me being pregnant. Im excited

Ive had a lot of massages in all levels of price & experience throughout the US. Jake Lewis is the most in-tune massage therapist Ive had in quite some time. Very professional and thorough. Highly recommended.

Hard working people that works here. Highly professional and follows sanitation/safety protocols. Come here to relax and escape from reality once in awhile or get a beat-up session to rid of whatever tight muscles you may carry or a facial to get that extra good looking smooth oomph. Book away!!!

The massage is mediocare at most but these guys overcharged me too. Without me knowing they charged additional $15 for tip while I already gave a $20 tip to the massager in cash! After calling them they said theyll reverse and they didnt! Will despute and never go back there!

The downtown Massage Envy team of therapists is stellar. I always love coming to this location. The therapists here truly have great talent. The new esthetician Vivan was fabulous:)

This location has always been great to me. Its newer and very well kept. The front staff are very friendly and the therapist I see is so amazing; I dont ever want to switch!

Very friendly, helpful staff. Ive been a member for years at various locations, and this one does great as a place to relax and get muscle tension dealt with for an hour.
