We went early, around 7pm, on a Friday for a cocktail. Loved the atmosphere, the view and attentive, friendly service. The drinks were beautiful and tasted fantastic. It was a great place to sit and chat. I can understand how going early is key to finding a place to sit and enjoy the view. Seating is limited. We did not eat there so I cant comment on the food.
We visited the Prohibition bar on a Saturday. We arrived just after opening and were excited to have a view of Downtown Minneapolis. Our visit quickly turned into a bucket of disappointments. The pictures you see on the website show a nice view, but what the pictures dont show you is that there are only a handful of tables that have a view. Most people coming here will not get a seat with a view! Its a really poorly designed space. Yes, we understand this is a historic building that probably has restrictions, but there is a reason they dont show you full pictures of the space on the website. And there is so much wasted space there. Half of the floor is taken up by private party rooms. Im guessing those have a great view! Also, the place smelled musty and wasnt the type of clean youd expect if you are paying for high-end cocktails at $17-$21 each. The bar itself is tiny, with 5 stools at it. We came off the elevator and the crowd at the bar was 4 or 5 people deep. Fun! Then you basically make a turn from the elevator and wander around with everyone else trying to find a view. Good luck! Youre better off with the view from your hotel room.We found a cold drafty corner with 2 chairs. No view, just dark paneling, a cracked mirror on the mirrored post and fruit flies. Yum!Our first server was very nice. A+ for her. The second server acted pissed because we asked for our check. We lied and said everything was great, so she had nothing to throw the RBF at us about. Yeah, do better. Were done here. Note: We are always very kind to service workers. Our drinks arrived and they were cloyingly sweet and not well-balanced at all. My drink had a mint garnish, but it was floppy old mint that shouldve been tossed out 2 days earlier. It wouldnt have been sold in a store and it smelled like cat piss. Hey kids, wonder where you got the fruit flies! Rotten mint is neat! The only thing that could save this bar is the view, but sadly youll pay $17-$21 for a poor cocktail, rotten garnish, fruit flies and only a view of confused people packed together and wondering where the hell the view of downtown is.Avoid this dump. There are much better bars in downtown Minneapolis. They clearly dont care. Why should you?
This bar is very cozy with a nice fireplace! They also have couches around which is nice for a group of people.Drinks are very good. I tried food twice and was ok, but later knew by Dylan “a server” that I can order from Manny’s Steakhouse menu, which is also part of the W Hotel (that I was staying in). Manny’s steak was great, and was a huge portion. I liked the service Dylan provided, he was very friendly, nice to offer different options than the digital menu, and very attentive. Definitely a nice place to try!
Cool place with great cocktails. Friendly service. I really enjoyed my stop. Will definitely go back.
Great bar I went when it was super busy but the server fought to make it a great experience
What good is it to advertise your business if you are not accessible to the public. I wanted to visit, but I did not have a W hotel key card to access.
We enjoyed the experience. We wanted fancy drinks and apps in a unique space, and this met our expectatons. Recommend you arrive early, as there are no reservations so finding a spot after 6pm may be impossible. The cocktails were expensive, but they were well done. Beer menu was pretty good. Small plates were delicious.
Great cocktails beautiful view of the city. Check it out next storm so cool
Overall a four, I love the view, but the prices and people can bring the place down occasionally.
Great place to hang with buddies, family or a date. Tons of private sitting areas with couches and comfy seating.
Poor drinks for extremely high prices. My drink tasted like a Christmas tree if it were juiced. Jealous of the dude next to me with the coors light. DJ made it feel like a club which is great if you’re into that, but can’t enjoy a drink when you’re yelling to the person next to you
Prohibition has a welcoming atmosphere. Stepping off the elevator you immediately feel a classy and cool vibe... its the perfect noise level, lighting, and seating setup. The views are amazing.Make sure to try many of the drinks; the bartenders are usually incredibly nice and helpful.
Staff managed an unruly and unreasonable customer with professionalism and poise. Drinks were delicious and views of Minneapolis from the 27th floor of the Foshay were spectacular. Im looking forward to visiting Prohibition again.
The place definitely has a unique ambiance. I almost wish there was a hostess to help sit patrons so that a group of two persons cant take a space that could sit a bigger group. Love it there.
It’s a fun/weird spot! We sat on the very strange white leather bed thing.
Very fun with great views. Wait staff was courteous and the layout was interesting, in that you could find an out of the way nook or a packed parlor. Drinks were solid, but relied more on call liquors than sophistication.
This establishment has your typical speakeasy atmosphere. The drinks and the service were great, so I will definitely be coming back here when I visit Minneapolis again.
Traveling for work and came across this hidden gem that is attached to Mannys Steakhouse. When the wait for Mannys was over an hour, we were invited to walk next door, sit wherever, and still order off of Mannys entire menu. The bar was beautiful and the lounge, where we ate, had large velvet sofas that were extremely comfortable. Dylan was our server and he was FANTASTIC! All of his recommendations were spot on for our palate. My only reason for giving our overall experience a 4 and not a 5, is that our steak had a seafood taste like it was cooked on the same grill that they had just prepared a seafood option. Will definitely return next time Im in Minneapolis just to have Dylan as our server and see whats new that he recommends on the menu.
This place used to be a lot better, with a cool lounge feel to it. Now it’s mostly high tops and the only lounge furniture left is uncomfortable with no views. Drinks are good but very expensive. The blackberry one is a standout. The space is still cool, up high in the Foshay, but I don’t see a reason to go back here with no comfortable place to sit. Prohibition has a feeling of being neglected for about a decade, similar to the rest of the W. Shame because if it weren’t, the place would be a favorite.
Great views, if you can find a way to the observation deck on 30. Solid wine selection and really good cocktails - get the Wamma Smash. But with no food menu, this is a one-sided spot. Good sitting room. And worth a stop, but not a stay.
This is my favorite little spot to take people for special occasions- even the most Minneapolis-familiar folks havent been here so its fun to surprise them with such a beautiful view and fun ambiance!Every time Ive been here in the past, Ive always sworn Im going to try new cocktails but their Epiphany is SO incredible I always went for that every time. It helps that one is all you need! Seriously, Ive had to call Ubers home after ONE of these cocktails. My friends have tried various other cocktails that Ive really enjoyed, the Genevieves Holdout and More on That Later were both refreshing options.Im now pregnant and sober so opt for mocktails these days, which also never disappoint. Some bartenders are more creative than others when coming up with a tasty non alcoholic choice but regardless, its always nice to cheers to those celebrating with alcohol with something other than a Shirley Temple.Great place for those who drink and those who dont!
Its okay. The bartendars and staff have a good time and are nice. The vibe is cool- with lounge seating and tables. Dofferent rooms with different feels. They have an upstairs nook area so if you get there earlier you can snag. The cocktail menue is pretty good.. I have a few faves. They are pretty pricey maybe between $17-25 but I expect that for being inside a hotel and higher end look. Drinks- Not too genrous of quantity but not skimpy either. Just right Id say even though pricey. They do a good job. The bartneders are friendly and joke and chat.. just have a good time from what ive noticed. The La Taberna is really really great. Perfect. The have snacks but I havent gotten any in a while. A mixed bag crowd- dressy to lounge-ish- staying at the hotel. I used to go here in between or before hitting up the W dance parties or events. Stop by
We went there for a drink and a view of the city. It was good.
Great drinks. Very well crafted and loved learning the history of the building while talking to the bartenders. Found this place on accident while looking for a cigar lounge. Was not unpleased even though they dont have cigars.
Wife ordered a martini and I got an old fashioned. Martini was fine, and it better be for $22 before tax and tip. The $17 old fashioned tasted like it was from a cocktail mix with added simple syrup, literally undrinkable. If the owners are wondering why it was empty on a Saturday night, prices comparable to Manhattan and cocktails that taste embarrassing might have something to do with it.
Felt so fancy. Loved the vibe. Loved the chairs. View was perfect. Went here for my birthday and I will return very soon.
Got there 10 min past opening and snagged the last possible seating area. Its very small, but the service was still slow. Ended up having half of our party just go up to the bar to get drinks to bring back. Great ambient lighting, but still felt underwhelmed by the actual menu. The elevator doors were honestly the coolest part of the visit.
The drinks are expensive but really well crafted using primo ingredients. The view of the city from the 27th floor is stunning.
The views are great from this 27th floor venue if you can get a window seat. Most are at least near to one. As for drinks, the cocktails have always been delicious -- especially the blueberry one. The liquor used in the is not exactly top shelf, so the price is covering real estate, not product. Despite that, its worth the visit.
Asked for a whiskey sour using egg whites. No egg whites bartender said. ---- Whahh?? Okay, asked for a Negroni, can you recommend a gin for that? Bartender said I dunno. WOW Really~!! Oh, that’s right, I am in Minneapolis (where the alcohol tax is higher than NYC)
Whenever I travel I try to search out fun and interesting bars and lounges. I also really enjoy a good cocktail. Really wanted to like this place as location and atmosphere were intriguing. Cocktails were only mediocre though and very overpriced. Only saving grace was service. Willy was very nice.
Got in after a late flight to be pleasantly surprise that W had a cool bar on the 27th floor. Walked around the bar and noticed nice quiet chairs - a plus for introvert. Came up to bar to order a beer and waitress handed me a can. I was like ‘a can?’ … the good news is other patrons had their drinks in appropriate containers so it may have just been me LOL
Hands down this is a really cool venue. The 27th floor gives you a great view of downtown Minneapolis, and several of the areas for you to lounge here are really unique and intimate. Im giving it 4 stars and not 5 because I dont know if any cocktail in the world is worth $17. In other words, I think its a little pricey. Good service though. Oh, and dress nicely. Hooded sweatshirts and baseball caps are not welcome.
Amazing cocktails with great atmosphere, and views.
Great service, cool interior decor. The view is really not as good as you would expect for a bar this high up. The cocktails are spendy, but they are twice the size of cocktails at a normal bar and they are delicious. Its worth visiting if you value a tasty cocktail.
I took my mom and grandmother to the prohibition bar. Becky, our server, was absolutely wonderful. She spent a lot of time explaining the history of the building and gave attention to my nana’s questions. I would absolutely recommend this lounge.
Such a cool and casual atmosphere! I love old buildings, and this one was no exception. It was a lot of fun to walk around the perimeter and look out the windows at the city. The seating was kind of like a living room, and it felt more like you were visiting a house than a bar.
Some of the best craft cocktails Ive had in this city, they blend unique ingredients to make completely novel and memorable creations. And the price is not exorbitant. The setting is cozy and subdued, hopefully youre lucky enough to find a seat.
Very unique set up and bar selection for drinks. Its a good place to bring out of town guest or if you want an option other than a night club. The only knocks I have on this place is its a little crowded on weekends because its a smaller space. Also we understand the need to have younger wait staff in a place like this lol but some of the wait staff was rude and not very experienced. They could benefit from some more seasoned staff in a bar like this. Good time though we recommend you at least try it. To see if its for you.
A unique bar experience on an upper story of the Foshay Tower. Mixed drinks for minimum $15-20. No beer selection to speak of. Great place to visit as a tourist and if you come during the day the museum on the top floor is worth a stop. In prohibition style the route up isnt well labeled. Ask the receptionist at the front desk if you dont know where you are going.
Went here for the first time with a group from work after a meeting. Doesnt feel at all like a speakeasy, so not sure why its called Prohibition. Its definitely a youthful, somewhat swanky, trendy kinda place. The service was good, but I wouldnt call it friendly. A little frustrating when we were trying to find some lost keys and none of the staff (including the hotel) were helpful. I suppose 20 somethings might find it cool, but it was an overpriced bar with bad florescent type lighting for me.
Love the atmosphere and the service. The drinks are phenomenal. Ill be back. If you ind yourself near the W check it out!! Tell them big Joe sent you
Walk to the back of the building by the alley to be greeted by an intimidating door with a slot. However the bouncer/greeter is one of the most friendly ive encountered. This truly has a speak-easy tone with great service to match. we only had one drink but our server was very quick to refill our water and politely ask if he could bring us anything else. The drinks themselves were exactly as presented on the menu and very chic. Highly recommend. 5 stars for the best service ive received in the cities.
Its nice and worth it, just a little over hyped.
High floor bar at the W Foshay. Comfortable, art Deco feel. Drinks are pricey, but good.
Ummm... Mildew, but only near the bar. Tell me if you dont smell it. Lovely otherwise. Like a visit to the overlook hotel. Seriously wonderful. Great staff ( inspite of the onion dip bath). (You know what I am talking about, hon ). Great drinks. Lovely atmosphere. Go. Experience. A total trip for the senses. Lovely nooks, double chairs, lounge areas, perfect for an evening of cocktails and conversation.
Awesome atmosphere and good drinks. I love going to prohibition for happy hour after work or just grabbing a nice drink before hitting the bars downtown on the weekends. The bar is on the 27th floor of the W hotel and its set in the former, luxurious penthouse. Its definitely worth it for the atmosphere and the views; the drinks are good, but they are not crafted with the kind of attention that the prices demand. For the same price or cheaper, you could find a more carefully crafted cocktail at Marvel Bar or Volsteads Emporium. Prohibition is definitely a must-see for the twin cities, and one of my all-time favorite bars, but get ready to shell out the dough for a mediocre cocktail.
Expensive, but good creative drinks. There are many good places to sit and hang out. I wouldnt bring a large crowd because there isnt generally enough seating space for that. Overall very cozy and great to go to with a date or a couple of friends to talk at catch up
27th floor bar with a sweet design - its a rooftop bar with a lounge/library feel. Lots of little nooks and crannies for your party to hash out a conversation over quality cocktails. Nice views of the city if you get a window seat.
I cant think of a better place to grab a drink and get to know someone. The atmosphere is perfect in every way. Visually its stunning both inside and out. The thick wooden accents, the iron railings, the numerous staircases, large dimly-lit chandeliers set in high ceilings, and the overflowing bookshelves all give that feeling of being in that typical billionaires library. The old boys club, so to speak. Sean Connery and Dis Equis The Most Interesting Man in the World are probably there at all times. The views outside are incredible and its all topped off with excellent top-shelf cocktails.I would very much like to go on a date here and really get to know someone. Its intimate yet professional; elegant but not pretentious. Go here. Youll undoubtedly impress your guests.
Really cool restaurant! Love the views! Must do! Get a taste of underground party life from 100 years ago!
Bartender was well versed and very talented with the drink menu, however Ive been to places in New York and Los Angeles, and spent much less on the drink menu, cocktails are way overpriced!! For a basically a standing-room-only establishment. But if you want to visit the place at least once, just to say hey Ive been there.. do it, then go to Mannys living room
I dont know what to say except that if Im celebrating anything I am going to stop here for a drink. Helpful staff, great drinks and food, perfect atmosphere.Dress up as there is a dress code to get in. This is to help keep the atmosphere consistent.I strongly recommend the Duke of Earl for the whiskey lovers and The Bubbly Sex Pot for some real fun! The Bubbly Sex Pot is a drink to share (I have had it with one other person and we were pretty buzzed) and is a fizzy punch served over dry ice so that it smokes and bubbles!
Really neat location, beautiful original woodwork and comfy district rooms and places to sit. i had an old fashioned drink, which so good!BUT, unfortunately a complaint was made by another party, stating they were feeling uncomfortable with my date. It was told to us by the bouncer. We were sitting and talking, it may have been related to my chocolate skin and my dates vanilla skin. We left shortly after that, me in tears. Its a beautiful place and it wasnt after I left
Beautiful views and amazing drinks!
I loved this place. Old fashion, relaxing environment with fantastic views. Great happy hour drink specials you can enjoy sitting by a fire or gazing out the many windows. Romantic place for a drink for sure.
Great view, with friendly, knowledgeable waitstaff. Had a few drinks there and sat for about an hour enjoying the view and conversation. The only downside is that seating is limited. Having said that both times we have been there we did get a table.
Very intimate in feel. Several different decors in the different rooms. The drink I had was well mixed. It has a low key vibe comparable to other downtown bars. The wait staff was a little understaffed.
Good time. Of course, I had good company
Great space and friendly service. I only give it 4 stars because drinks were pretty expensive and probably just on par with other cocktail bars Ive been to. Youre paying for the atmosphere a bit more here.
Having to get dressed up for subpar cocktails is like a waking nightmare. Im not one for stupid dress codes. However I can handle it if the place is worth the hassle. This place isnt even close to being worth it. The ice is all hotel ice and the drinks crappy. When you name a place Prohibition you are signaling a type of drink quality that this place totally lacks. Its unfortunate because Ive been to other W bars in other cities with amazing cocktail bars. Im not sure whats up with this place. The only reason it has 2 stars is the architecture and views are amazing.
Visiting from out of town and this sounded like a place we would love. We werent disappointed either! Great cocktails, friendly staff & the big white chaise lounge was perfect for our get away weekend!
My wife and I dressed up in a 1920’s costumes to go out on Halloween night. We planned to spend the evening at establishments promoting a 1920’s theme. Having finished dinner in St. Paul, we though we would have a night cap at the Prohibition Bar. After paying for parking and riding the elevator to the 27th Floor, we couldn’t have been more disappointed. First, the decor isn’t even remotely 1920’s. About the only thing Art Deco was the elevator doors at the lobby level. But, more importantly the service was terrible. After waiting at a table for ten minutes without being served I walked up to the bar. A few minutes went by and I noticed a waitress walking toward my wife. I abandoned my attempt at the bar hoping the waitress might take our drink order. To my surprise she came only to tell us that we could not sit in the area we had chosen. She didn’t ask us if she could bring drinks to a different table. She just walked off. Wow! Pretentious is a word that comes to mind.
Excellent views and seating arrangements set this place apart from your average drink venue. The drinks are a bit spendy but make up for it in taste and strength of the drink. Definitely check it out!!!
Personal opinion walking in on a winter, Saturday night: i could barely breathe and it smelled like I was in a basement not top floor. Mold is a silent killer so if I could tell from the moment the elevator doors opened, then they for real need to check under the carpet and walls for mold.
One of the best classic bar on the 27th floor of the W Hotel , Minneapolis amazing view in a very cozy. Great place for a first date.
Stylish, classy, sexy, and amazing cocktail concoctions. Dam cool atmosphere as well
This is a beautiful, wood-paneled bar on the 27th floor of Foshay Tower. Several rooms offer stunning views of the city from all sides of the building. Small, private nooks can be reserved for you and one or two guests in various parts of the bar. Its a great location for romantic cocktails or after-work drinks with friends.
Loved it here. Located right at the top of the Foshay Tower downtown, Prohibition was the perfect before dinner spot for great views, conversation and an AMAZING charcuterie plate. The decor, at first, reminds you of someones living room, I think thats to add to the speakeasy feel, theyre marketing. There are several different hidden spots, one with giant sofas...one giant beds.. If youre into that, and the bathrooms, well youll have to go see for yourself. They dont open until after 5 so save yourself the trip if planning for an earlier time. The food menu is provided by Mannys on the ground level, so its pricey, but its a great place to take out of town guests, or to impress a date.
We were told by the staff at the W that Prohibition Bar was lively and exciting. We were told thered be a DJ and dancing. There may have been a DJ somewhere but the music was a cross between elevator and chill-house and did not promote a dance atmosphere. We walked off the elevator and were kindly greeted and served immediately. I ordered 2 Cosmos- to the tune of $$38. They were straight alcohol and tasted horrible. We walked around the corner to find the dance floor and whatever nightlife was there. The bar is all couches and chairs filled with mostly snobbish patrons. The vibe was uninviting with the team of Secret Service style bouncers around the joint. Ill give it this though, it was fancier than anything Ive seen in a while.
Look, is it cool that a lot of people dont know about it and that you have awesome views all the way around? Yes. But if theres any amount of people, its a disaster because the bar is right by the elevator where you walk in. People trying to get in, out, order drinks, people passing by. Youre constantly in the way and its annoying.
Good place to go for fancy drinks with a few friends. It can be hard to get a table at the top but the setting is definitely worth it. The fishbowl drinks are fun!
Great view of downtown Minneapolis from the 27th floor of the W hotel. Good drinks in a laid back atmosphere. Not really a speakeasy vibe. There is also a club on the first floor which is high energy and a lot of fun, you can take drinks up and down the elevator and between Prohibition and the nightclub depending on what mood youre in.
Fantastic view, and creative drink menu. Give the Verbena a try, its one of the more unique cocktails Ive ever had!
Four stars for the views (somewhat small windows, but its an old building) and the ambiance (big couches and comfy seating). Downsides include expensive drinks and limited seating. Its still a good time.
Cool place, neat atmosphere. A bit pricey, but you are paying for the experience. I really like the quiet atmosphere, great place for a date where you might actually want to talk. Its worth the find.
The Prohibition is a terrible speakeasy. The bar is small, the drink menu is even smaller and way overpriced compared to Volsteads or Als. The ONLY redeeming quality of The Prohibition is the view. That is when the only decent part of the bar is not rented out for a private party. Do not waste your time with this place. Go to the Marvel Bar, Volsteads, Als, Nyes, or ANY other bar in downtown Minneapolis before this place.
Best rooftop bar in MN
Their happy hour is the best, particularly the martini and the ambiance is one of the most unique places I’ve seen. I puke highly recommend this place. They have food well, it’s ok but the drinks are better
Awesome spot. Probably one of Minnesotas best cocktail bars. But its a bit pricey and seating is limited. Great spot for drinks after dinner.
There is nothing special about this place. Had a cocktail which was ok and an order of chicken wing which was horrible. Could not even finish one wing it was so bad. It’s just a dingy place with some small windows.Nothing special about the view either. Not sure what’s the reason it has 4.5 star.
Wonderful experience! I love the atmosphere and the intimacy here, Friendly staff. Great drinks and views of the city!
Nice bar with a great panoramic view of the city. Be prepared to pay for drinks but they are well worth it. Show up a little earlier to get up to the roof.
What happened to this place?!?!? It used to be very exclusive without being too presumptuous, and now they are just trying too hard but the average patrons don’t look like they would belong 4 years ago. We were so shocked we couldn’t even stay for one drink!!This is still one of the best locations in town and it warrants to be a bona fide exclusive bar.
Expensive! Great views of Minneapolis though. If you want to feel fancy and spend a lot of money go here. My recommendation, go here for one digestif after dinner Mannys to check out the views then move on.
You will get dirty looks if you dont dress up. Waitresses and manager are very professional but havent always gotten that from people behind the bar. 360 degree views but only some are really top notch.Awkward opening between mens and womens bathroom.
Very nice bar, good atmosphere. Many customers are a little pretentious. A couple of waitresses were rude, but then again I wasnt wearing Gucci.
I proposed to my fiancee in the private loft area at Prohibition, and I recommend working with them for special occasions like that! Julie and the events team at Parasole was super helpful and easy to work with as I organized how I wanted the special night to go.
Bartender was not good and not at all personable. All our drinks were WAY too sweet (and they shouldnt have been). If Im going to pay $15 for a drink, maybe make it properly?
Great views of downtown Minneapolis amidst a cozy, unique ambiance. The only downfall is a lot of the seating area requires you to purchase pricey bottle service.
The views are great but I had higher expectations of this place but it turned out to be a more of a regular bar with high priced drinks. The drinks tasted good.
The drinks and service were great. I liked the cocktail lounge atmosphere and I would highly recommend stopping in for at least one drink.
Great drinks with a cozy atmosphere. Messed up our food order the first time, and then tried to serve us another table’s food the second. Eventually we got what we ordered. I’d go back.
Our server Jade was awesome! Very attentive and super sweet. Pair that with an incredible view of the city... Ill definitely be going back!
Cocktails were too sweet and not nuanced. For $20 each, I expected more
The glam/rustic charm and views from the floor to ceiling Windows is great. Happy Hour prices on small plates and drinks from 4-7pm.
Amazing views, great atmosphere, chill vibes. A definite must see experience when at The Foshay.
Drinks are extremely expensive. Expect to pay upwards of $16 per cocktail. Atmosphere is nice and romantic/fun.
Clever place to buy expensive drinks but have an amazing view. not easy to get good seats because itvwas busy. nice experience though.
Great date spot. We snagged the lay down couch spot and felt like royalty every time someone walked by and saw us on our throne.
Wonderful. Love this place. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. Drinks are pricey but generous and delicious.
Nice jeans and shirt is very acceptable. I guess I was expecting more of a wow effect. The drinks are the same cost as the bar in the lobby. Go have drink and do the loop.
Insanely overpriced for the quality and level of service. The atmosphere and view are great, but the drinks are nearly $20 each, and are prepared by bartenders that were obviously hired for their look and not their skill.
Such a fun vibe and excellent service! We were lucky enough to get access to the private space above the bar for a bachelorette party! Had a blast!
Great interiors, loved the views from the windows. Bartenders are pretty friendly and they have got good collection of cocktails.
Ambiance, small plates to steak dinners (from Mannys), and creative cocktails, this place has everything you need for a night on the town or an intimate kickback with your significant other.
A fun bar at the top of the Foshay. The atmosphere is elegant, and the drinks are stiff. Order a sazerac off menu, you wont be disappointed.
The drinks are spendy but the atmosphere is really cool. Its a nice place to grab a cocktail before going out for the night.
Knowledgeable staff who are perfectly accommodating. The view from the 27th floor is great. Extensive beverage list and nice atmosphere downtown.
This place has some of the best cocktails and views in Minneapolis. Highly recommend the Verbena
Nice place to go for a drink or two. Very expensive. Its too bad the rest of the building isnt still classy and art-deco themed.
Fantastic views and atmosphere but you definitely pay for it with the prices! Hard to go wrong with such a lovely intimate space though.
Wood and corners and soft seats. Cocktails and wine and bottled beer . Makenzie and Smitty at the bar are amazing and funny. Fancier than a pub or bar without being pretentious.
Some great servers, fun drinks, but a little inconsistent with the upper room pricing. Definitely worth the visit.
Great staff and great grilled cheese. Served under a dome no less. Got my Prince Paisley Park pilgrimage off to a great start. Will be back
The drinks werent crazy amazing. The view, of course, is spectacular. The decor is great. But, the drinks were eh, for the price.
Watched bartender pour out overly priced drinks from a pre-mixed bottle...Paid $17 for a Manhattan that was pre-mixed. Views were great but the drinks were not worth it.
Pricey drinks but definitely worth it. Great spot for casual cocktails with a view. Dress up!
Very cool place, nice view, but limited when its reserved for parties. Good service and drinks.
Such a special place!! Yes, it is expensive, but the views are unparalleled, and the drinks are delicious. We absolutely love it and highly recommend it.
My absolute favorite bar in Minneapolis for the history behind it! It used to be the personal parlour room of Wilbur Foshay, I highly recommend reading up about it before, during, or after going!
A great fun place. Its quiet and easy to get lost in the ambiance. Drink options are fantastic.
Amazing views - great drinks - confusing menuOlives and mixed nuts are the only food served at Prohibition
Love the atmosphere here. Drink quality isnt quite as good as other speakeasy bars but the experiance is well worth it.
Katie is an amazing server. Very attentive. Amazing service and experience.
Beautiful views. Must be prepared to spend $17 per drink!Ask to go to the 30th floor.
Cozy drink before my venture to my room at the Marquette hotel . The hotel pair well with the bar.
Come here for the cocktails and of course the view from the 29th floor. It is incredible. And the gin cocktail will blow your mind away.
Great views. Crowd isnt for me. Loud but fun. Expensive but what do you expect at the top of an old skyscraper.
Service was excellent, drinks were strong and tasty, and the food was light and refreshing
Awesome place, super classy, amazing views. Might be tough to find a place to sit if you’re not there before 10
They boast this place has the highest view but there is actually no view at all since there are 3 windows. Also the bar has 5 seats..
Super cool atmosphere but the service and drinks were lacking.
Really nice atmosphere but the staff is a little stuffy and of course the drinks are expensive but thats to be expected. Good place for a date
Unique setting that you are paying big prices to be in so dont be shocked when you get there. They do have limited but very affordable happy hour deals.
Great views and not stingy on the cocktails. Good excuse to dress up and hang out with friends in a fun fancy atmosphere.
Amazing views, cozy spaces, and good service, but the drinks werent anything special.
Pretty cool place! We went with the family and had a great time!
Awesome martinis. Rooms in back were pretty cool. Could definitely use a little TLC and redesigning in the front rooms.
Probably the best bar in the state of Minnesota. Fabulous atmosphere, million dollar view, great drinks wonderful service
Incredible atmosphere, really intimate and classy. Great drinks and helpful staff.
Quiet, luxurious and fantastic atmosphere. Great place for a small gathering for a special occasion or date night.
Cool little quiet place to hang out for a cocktail. Limited seating but a good spot for a date.
Love this place! Drinks are pricey but for most...you get what you pay for.The Epiphany is amazing!
The scene sucks. If you want good bar scene anywhere else, don’t waste your money. It’s not classy at all
Trendy, Lounge, Excellent views from the 27th floor! Nice drink selections and craft cocktails.
If you live in Minneapolis and have not visited this spot, you are missing out on a whole vibe.
Great views, great cocktails and theyre bringing up a Mannys filet. Awesome spot!
Amazing views, fast staff, great selection of drinks. Great vibe in general.
Great cocktails, great views, can order food from Mannys, cozy corners or good for groups.
Great place, nice people. Good drinks.
Expensive but delicious drinks. It can be difficult to find seating near a window though, which is the point of the bar.
Very elegant, upscaleBeautiful view of Twin Cities in an great historical bar.
Very fun place with an incredible view of the city.
Great atmosphere. Friendly Staff. Wonderful crafted cocktail selection.
Drinks are expensive and there is a dress code. Not bad for a night out, but seating is hard to come by.
Service couldve been better. Wait staff seemed they just didnt really care to serve us drinks.
Drink quality does not equate to the pricing. Also expected the atmosphere to be related to the name of the bar.
Drsse code is very highly selectively enforced! And I agree with everyone about the space being ill-organized
Amazing views of downtown Minneapolis. The drinks are on the expensive side, but the quality ingredients make it worth the price!
Best bar in Minneapolis between great views, good cocktails and decent food from the Mannys kitchen
Great spot, super crowded and busy but still a lot of fun
Really cool place, but with really pricey drinks that are honestly just, meh
Must do once. Best views of the city. Great high end cocktail
