I’ve had a membership for almost 2 years now. I received a text they send out to fill open spots at 4:38p Wed for an appt at 11a Thurs. I took the 11a appt. Thurs AM I had a work zoom mtg I had to be on get rescheduled to 12 noon. I called to reschedule my appt.. but that did not matter, they require 24 hour cancellation so they deducted 2 banked visits (worth $80/ea) from me because I had a 90 minute facial. So that was basically a $160 cancellation fee. I understand staff depends on appointments, But life also happens for people. Why not deduct just 1 visit for a cancellation made less than the 24 hour notice? Instead they base it on the service I was getting. That is utterly poor client relations especially with all the choices in the area and I’ve faithfully made my appointments. I understand it’s policy but that is poor policy. My other question is if I had NO membership and just paid when I came in for a service and canceled in less than 24 hours … would I be charged $160 cancellation fee and unable to return for services until I paid it… ???? Do NOT recommend purchasing any membership here.

AVOID!I have been a Massage Envy member for years and have just cancelled my membership. Afters todays visit they advised there was a $37.50 market upcharge for my service that last month was fully covered with my membership.Also, booking an appointment less than 6 weeks out is next to impossible and there is constant staff turnover and resulting appointment cancellations.Staff and manager couldnt care less but one associate was fielding another cancel my membership request while I was checking out. I asked for the franchise owners contact info but was advised that was confidential.Dont get sucked into buying a monthly membership-plenty of other options out there!
Since I’ve started 6ish years ago the price has gone up and customer service has gone down. I’ve been trying to cancel my membership for about 2 months and I have one 90 min massage left to use and the last two times I’ve been cancelled within 4-5hrs of the massage. Now if you as a member cancel within the same day you get charged 50%. Yet they can cancel as much and as often as they like with no penalty to your schedule. Also if you’d like to make an appmembership is not worth it and it’s wayyyyyy over priced. They don’t even give you hot towels anymore. They charge you for them. I wish I could give a 0/5 review. All they care about is your money. It’s not about helping the customer.EDITED APRIL 1st 2023 at 1:45pm. I just received a call from them about my last appointment scheduled April 5th. SHOCKING THEY CANCELED IT!! This is now the 3 lord time they’ve canceled this appointment. Because the therapist left. I can only imagine working for this owner is worse than being a member at this location!!UNREAL!!
I just had my first professional massage with Katherine. To say it was great is an understatement. From the time I entered the building everyone was very friendly and helpful. I was a little nervous and Katherine put my mind at ease quickly. I will definitely return.
Great massages horrible customer service.I have been a massage envy member for 2 years. I have put my account in a freeze plus state (meaning I won’t be charged $75every month, instead I will be charged $20 every month so I can use up my massages I ALREADY paid for and cancel my account).They charged my account $70 twice now when it was suppose to be 20$.I had 6 massages I needed to use before the freeze plus period ends in 3 months, and now I have 8 massages I need to use. You can’t get an appointment for 2 months because they are booked. They do send out texts if they have cancellations, but when I replied yes to a massage at a certain time they never told me it had been filled by someone else (like the always do)They won’t refund my money of 100$ and they compensated me by giving me until December to use all my appointments that I still have to pay 20$ for every month. I’m a college student and I work Monday through Saturday. Very frustrating.
I have 26 credits. Manager Jasmine Soumore at the Surfside location refused to transfer my credits to the Greenville location as I stood at the front desk facing a $270 bill. I submitted my paperwork to change my home location 28 days earlier and made arrangements to treat my the three daughters using the credits. I unexpectedly had to pay out of pocket for their service. Further, she refused to speak to me directly. I was told someone would likely reach out within the week. This child have been a simple yes instead of an excuse of being behind in their paperwork for the transfer.
I made an appointment for my vacation coming in September 2 months ago since in the past I have had problems getting an appointment. 2 days ago I was called and told my appointment was cancelled. Having an appointment for this long I feel like everything should be done to keep this appointment. I will not be trying for another appointment at massage envy again. Customer service is not important to them
I have been a massage envy customer for years. They withdraw a monthly membership fee of approx $75 a month. I have banked a number of credits with them (meaning massages already paid for). I tried to book a massage today and they dont have an appointment for 2 months. How unfair to pay a monthly fee and not get an appointment for over 2 months. If I were to chose to not be a customer any longer then I would lose nearly $1,000 for unused massages because you only have 2 months to use your balance when terminating - but you cant get an appointment in 2 months. Seems criminal to me.
My husband purchased “buy one get one free” during Christmas. He paid $115,, my card said $115 plus $115. I assumed I would book one massage/facial then come back another week and do it again. When I called to make the appointment she asked if I received a red and purple card? I stated, yes, she’s stated you’ll need to bring both cards in?? So I’m paying $115 for one hour massage and $115 for a facial??? ‘No,,Anywhere you go in town, the average cost is a dollar per minute. How is this buy one, get one free?? Total scam. However last time I went to the Surfside location, I received a massage and facial, I have to say it was wonderful. When I explain this to my husband he said that’s not what he was told when he purchased this as my Christmas present. Still feel it’s a scam!!!
Professional and in-depth consultation before getting in to the therapy room means your comfort is priority.From my short time in the waiting room, I can tell this is a great place. They seem to stay very busy.My massage therapist, Debbie, was amazing. She applied the perfect pressure to every knot and explained everything she was doing. It was relaxing and eye opening.If you need a good tension relief session, make an appt, ask for Debbie.
I love Massage Envy normally and have been a member for about 6 years and use it at many location. But this one? Terrible experience. They had this lady who was supposed to be deep tissue and it was not at all. When I politely asked her to go deeper she acted like she was so inconvenienced. I am only refraining from giving it one star because the front desk girl was so nice. She said she was going to tell the management to call me to try to talk about maybe possible compensation about the service but it’s been about a week and I haven’t heard anything. So I advise you to not have your expectations set too highly coming here.
I never leave reviews, but Samuel was amazing. Professional and polite. I asked for a deep tissue and highlighted the areas that were giving me the most problems and he worked with me 100%. Also the Covid protocols they have in place seem to be completely for the safety and well being of their staff and clients. I was pleasantly surprised by this location and will definitely return.
The location was dirty. The floors had not been vacuumed and the bathroom was not clean. I did not want to take my shoes off. The shelf over the toilet had a inch of dust on it. I was really disappointed. When we walked in at 11:00am they were sweeping, a pile of dirty in the middle of the waiting room. Something you would do before you open.When I got in the room the therapist told me she did not do deep tissue only med. The massage was not good at all. She kept hitting my ribs and the bones on my back, it hurt. I had to tell her to stop hitting bone. She only used her fist.I have been doing massages for 18 years this was an embrassment to my profession. I really hope someone will fix this.

Jaelyn was an awesome therapist! He did a mix of therapeutic & deep tissue massage! Not only was it relaxing but he was also very attentive to the areas I needed worked on! I’m excited to be a member and to go regularly to take care of my body!
I was unhappy with the service only because the part I asked to do the most was done at the end and the guy who was doing my massage must of ran out of time. He only did the area I wanted the most for about ten minutes or less where the parts I didn’t care about as much took up most the time in a 90 minute massage. So I went in there with a stiff lower back and came out of the massage with the same feeling. Where that was the only reason I wanted the massage was to help my lower back. The guy was nice, I just wish I knew what time it was during the massage so I could of told him to not do anywhere else, if I would of known he was running out of time. Specially when I went in there and marked/told the guy where I wanted the two spots to be done the longest.
Ive been a member of Massage Envy for years now. Its all about finding that great therapist that makes a monthly massage so worth it! I visit Myrtle Beach a couple times per year, and you never know the therapists as well when you travel. Sabrina is one of the most talented massage therapists that has ever worked on my tense shoulders and neck. Thanks.
This location is extremely clean.The women behind the counter were very nice, professional, and informative.I have had many , many massages over the years but Euraka is by far one of the very best I’ve ever had. Clean as a whistle, and for someone who hasnt been in a LONG time, the staff and Samuel made me feel EXTREMELY comfortable, which is a lot if you know me. I havent had my shoulders out of my ears this well since.... well, Im not sure, but EVER. DONT hesitate to book, you will not be disappointed. One more shoutout to Samuel; with a single suggestion or 2, from there it felt like he was reading my mind. Do yourself the favor.

I have used massage envy frequently in the past but my most recent experience was the worse of any professional massage I have ever had. First the masseuse was late when the office was empty. She did not listen to my request on massage I wanted. When asked for all over massage she worked three body parts only: calves, feet and upper back only! Then adding additional insult when I was contacted about poor service I was offered to pay for another massage and I would get a free add on (sugar scrub or essential oil). Needless to say this was just insulting! I refuse to pay more money to a company that gave me such poor service.
Had a scheduled appointment. Upon arrival location was closed. No one called. No text about being closed. No email received. No sign even on the door. Pathetic customer service
This was my first time getting massage. I came in and filled out what I wanted and didnt want on a tablet. Then they took me to a quiet room while I waited on the lady. She explained everything and went over what I filled out. I had a hour long session. It went by too quick.
This place is a rip off. Massage therapists are great but the whole membership thing and all of their rules is not worth it. After two years of dealing with them I finally had to cancel today. Its just not worth it. Poor customer service and company but great therapists who get paid $14 per hour.
Best massage Ive ever had from any spa. Visited this location a year ago and it wasnt terrible but today was perfect. Not too much talking and exact right amount of pressure. Thanks to Justin for a great massage!
I give two stars- the first star is solely because of the excellent therapists who work here like: Robert, Liz, Jacque, Jennifer, Eureka, Bobbie, Terrance, and formerly Lead therapist Dot-who now works at another location and was pushed to do so by management for sticking up for a fellow therapist, completely the wrong approach! Now the facility doesn’t have a lead therapist to intervene with therapists and help them when needed or teach/instruct-they aim to hire, regardless of skill, And be prepared to work like a machine and be drastically underpaid.The second star is for the assistant manager Courtney, who tries her best to correct faulty situations, such as appointments being booked but never scheduled on the books, and helping therapists with their needs such as time off to her best ability.The front staff employees are constantly replaced; many of them spend more time on their phones or browsing the internet, yet the Wi-Fi password cannot be shared with the therapists, some have inquired as they would like to share a decent playlist to run in their room for their clients. Many speakers are blown out so the sound quality is horrible and the playlist that is shared here and among all of the other Massage Envys locations is an extremely poor choice of spa music not to mention many of the songs are cut off abruptly and exceed high volumes of crescendo.Many of the light switches are found to be broken off and never replaced in a timely matter, or lightbulbs even being replaced with a bug light or none at all! The same could be said for the tools that the aestheticians have to use.The table hydraulic switches are broken often and not replaced so many therapists spend time trying to toggle with the controls to raise and lower the table, often having to pick them up by hand and mash them multiple times hoping they will work.The facility is FILTHY, many of the fans need to be taken apart to be cleaned-they are tangled around the gears with peoples hair just as the baseboards and the stained dingy carpets are visible, there are thick piles of dust bunnies underneath the tables/counters and numerous oil hand prints and streaks among the walls/windows. *If your room was clean you can thank your therapist.*This is an extremely honest and forward review that will not please the owner, but these are matters that are not just important to me- they are important to your employees and most of all your clients. I do not expect many “likes” from those who still work here for fear of losing their job perhaps, but I do encourage you to do so if you are an employee or a client who finds this review to be as honest as I have been. I was disappointed in this location compared to the other locations Ive visited. Front desk staff was on a loud personal phone call on speaker phone and the therapist was several minutes late. He did do what I asked though but never offered heat on the bed and blew a desk fan on me the whole time. I was pretty cold and excited to walk out the door into the sunshine when it was over.
Zero stars... tried to go today, and their doors are locked. The door says they close at 8 pm and its currently 5:50pm.
Tara was my therapist and was one of the best massages I have had in the 22 years I have been getting them done.
I am a full-time teacher at a daycare helping prepare children for kindergarten so I am constantly on my feet. There is so much stress trying to get everything done on a daily basis. I enjoy a massage every month and I always leave de-stressed and relaxed. This time I met with Robert and as he put it, I felt like I was walking on clouds. My husband and I researched all massage establishments in MB before finally deciding on this location. I was really amazed at how quickly they were able to fit us in. We called around 4 pm on wed and they were able to see us at 2 pm the very next day!!! One thing that really impressed me was that to all the google reviews, this establishment responded to all of them!! My husband was a member of Massage Envy in Charleston, SC for many years and this was my very first experience at getting a professional massage. While making my appointment the lady asked whom would I rather have Ms. Bobbi or A man (I forgot his name). I asked her what was the difference, she said Ms. Bobbi is gentler and the man is a little more harder. I wanted the deepest tissue massage I could find so I claimed the man for me and gave Ms. Bobbi to my husband. They asked us to show up 15 mins early to fill out paperwork, which of course we did. The man stepped out so I could get undressed, when he came back in he started to rub my back over the blankets. I thought that was a little strange. And when I say rub I mean just run his hands up and down my back with a little bit of pressure. No finger movements or anything. After about 15 mins of this he pulled the blanket down to my waist and proceeded to put lotion in his hands and rub it in on back. At this point we were about 30 mins into my massage and he might have actually massaged my back for about 5 mins. Other than that he basically just kept rubbing lotion in on my back and arms. He even asked me when I first got into the room where did I want him to focus, my reply was my back and feet!! AT NO POINT AND TIME DID HE EVEN MASSAGE MY LOWER BACK!!! He then moved down to my legs and rubbed lotion up to the knee, AGAIN, HE DID NOT APPLY ANY KIND OF PRESSURE TO ANYTHING!!! Now we are at the feet, where he took his time rubbing more lotion in, now here he may have massaged my feet for about 3 mins (actually using fingers and pressure)! He had me flip over then he rubbed lotion over the front part of my legs and arms. Now we are back at the shoulders, finally he actually started massaging my shoulders on the front and about 2.5 seconds later, he said, well thats time. Thank you so much!! I have never been so let down!! This was the only thing I wanted for my birthday!!! Couldnt really afford it but my husband scraped together the money to give it to me!! AND THIS IS WHAT I GOT!!! After my husband came out, he couldnt have bragged more on Ms. Bobbi!! He would rub a certain place on my back or arm and say she did this and it felt so good!! All I can think is . . . I JUST PAID $85 TO HAVE A STRANGER RUB LOTION ON MY BODY!! If I returned (and that is a very big IF) I would have to request Ms. Bobbi!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!! :{
The front staff are not so welcoming, but all of the therapists have been friendly and kind. Location is very clean. The majority of massages Ive recieved there were below my expectations.
Had my first couples massage or professional massage and it was great. The masseuse made me feel very comfortable. It was a wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend their services to others!

I Scheduled appointment for my son (under 18) to work out a baseball injury by a professional. When calling, I explained this situation in detail and we were scheduled for the last appointment of the day. When arriving, we were refused service due to liabilities that I questioned when making the appointment. It seems these folks are incompetent when it comes to minor liabilities and questionable COVID requirements.Get it together people!!
Great place to take your honey for a day date/anniversary/birthday. Staff very professional and friendly. Clean and nice establishment not crowded by tourists either.

This is my favorite Massage Envy in the Myrtle beach area...Plenty of room to move about and the treatment rooms are not tiny compared to some locations...Excellent services and nice staff.
My membership was off to a bumpy start and I was not pleased at first..... But the manager worked with me....and helped me pick a massage therapist that addressed my needs.... I am now 3 months into my membership and a very happy camper....
This time I have to give one star less. Computers were down and I had to answer a questionnaire that lasted 5 mn so my session was only 45 and not 50 mn.
Pleasant staff. I had Catherine and felt she did a great job. The room was nice, warm and comfortable.
Friendly staff. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Make sure you are very specific with your therapist to get the most from your massage.
