If you want to go somewhere and feel love, accepted, and are able to completely be yourself this is the place. The atmosphere is amazing and it’s beautiful to see everyone so happy just to belong somewhere where no one judges you. The staff is fun and the owners are full of love! There is no place like Lipstick and am thankful that we all can go to experience this amazing place! Also best karaoke in Nashville!!!
BEST BAR IN NASHVILLE. 10/10 would recommend. When I have friends visit from out of town I always bring them here (even the straight ones) and they absolutely love it. Big shout out to Leah and Ally behind the bar, they are quick and treat everyone with respect and even play the chimes. Big love for my lipstick lounge!
I’ve been going to the Lipstick Lounge for 20 years now. I love the owners and the atmosphere. It’s a great, safe, and inclusive environment PLUS they have delicious food and drinks. We love it so much, we had our wedding reception there! I cannot say enough about how good and kind the owners of this bar are. It’s not only a bar, it’s a staple of the LGBTQIA+ community in Nashville and the surrounding areas.
What a magical spot! The atmosphere is so welcoming and you will always have a great time! I love how they brand themselves as a bar for all humans. Absolutely visit The Lipstick Lounge for a fun and safe space in Nashville! I cant wait to go back!
I have been to the lipstick lounge several times in the past few years. It is a fun, open, welcoming place to everyone! Food is good karaoke is fun and the owners are amazing! Yourself a favor and go enjoy yourself there.
The friendliest bar around. Excellent food. Excellent music, karaoke, live shows and games. And by far the best humans around. The owners are so active in the Nashville community. The lipstick lounge is truly a bar for any human!
One of my favorite spots in our neighborhood. Righteous burgers, best of the best bartenders (I see you Allye) and a fun atmosphere. Every damn time. Great karaoke and always a fun crowd.
What a magical place!!!! First off, the TALENT! OMG! The karaoke is crazy good...but you know, they are also super kind to those that are just doing it for fun and that is what makes it so special....everyone is just having a good time. The drinks/food are great and the service is fast and friendly. The owners, Christa and Jonda, literally make everyone they meet feel welcome. EVERYONE is welcome at Lipstick...I, for one, am very thankful for this special, needed, love-filled space.
What a wonderful welcoming place! The true word of our Lord shows its spirit here. Non judgemental, loving they neighbor as thyself, Gods gift of the Rainbow is ever present. What a treasure Nashville has in this fantastic establishment!!
Love, love, love this bar!! You wanna feel like you can walk into a place “where everybody knows your name”? Lipstick is the spot! Best bartenders in the city hands down. Love having Jamie behind the bar serving us, he is my absolute favorite. His service is impeccable. This friendly neighborhood spot is one you don’t want to miss out on!
This is the best bar in the whole world. I love it so much. So much that every time i think of it I smile so big and all my friends are like “juju what are you smiling about?” Lipstick is my home, forever a piece of my heart. Love is love! Let’s sing together
One of the best and most welcoming environments in Nashville. The tagline “bar for humans”, could not be more correct and true! Great establishments and people!I have been frequenting for 20 years and look forward to another 20!
I’ve been going here since they opened over two decades ago. The owners, Christa and Jonda, are some of the best human beings I’ve ever met in Nashville. I’ve always been met with smiles and hugs. Laughter and compassion. Birthdays celebrated and heartbreaks mended. They have supported my art throughout the years. This truly is a beautiful space that feels like nothing else in Nashville. They have watched me grow from a young naive 21 year old to being in my mid 40’s. They give back to the community in so many countless ways. I’ve experienced so many things in this building. I watched as the community came together to rescue them from floods and tornadoes. I have attended beautiful memorials of friends gone too soon. I have watched others grow, get married and have children. The Lipstick Lounge is and will always be family. This isn’t just an LGBTQ+ space…it’s a human space. All are welcome as long as you have a kind and open heart. Hate will never be tolerated in any form or fashion.Love is love.
A lesbian bar that has actually survived is a true cherished relic these days! We have never had an issue finding parking or getting great service at this spot. I love that you get a sense of community and history of the place right when you step in the door. The bartender was very friendly and helpful. They also serve food and I heard good things, but have not tried it yet. The drinks were a great price and had a strong kick. We will be back and recommend it to friends, make sure you check their instagram for all their events. We will be back to try brunch and watch a drag show for sure. The overall feel of the bar is a unique divey bar meets relaxed local spot where everyone is welcomed.
Lipstick Lounge is one of the best spots in Nashville! Definitely a bar for humans where people from all walks can dine, sing, laugh, and respect each other. Christa, Jonda and their staff/framily sling love as good as they sling drinks!
This bar was the first place I felt like I could be myself!! Fast forward 20 years later and it’s still the best bar in Nashville!! Allye behind the bar is a local legend with a spirit you just don’t find everyday. Christa and Jonda I have looked up to for years!! If it’s your first time or 5237th time you know you’ll have an experience that will make any day better. One of the places you’ll ever visit!
This place is a great way to relax in safety , no matter identity. Super fun vibe, and sorely needed. Another bright spot in Nashville !
Welcoming to all Nashvillians, from all walks of life. Recent one star review does not represent this business at all. But that review is representative of why businesses like this need our support. We are Nashville, we love this lounge, we love our city AND our inclusivity.
Great place to enjoy food, libations, and Karaoke. The owners say it best when they say it’s a bar for humans and they welcome everyone in. A staple of the East Nashville community!
We had so much fun! The staff was amazing! The vibe is accepting safe and fun♡ deffinately will go back. They have karaoke and drag shows Im not sure the dates on those. The prices on food was great. Overall I cant say enough about this place. You have to check it out♡ oh! And free parking ♡♡
This place is like no other. No wonder its a Nashville institution. Ive seen some of the best live music here, felt the welcoming vibe, and had some memorable times.
Stopped in for a fundraiser brunch. The food selection is fairly slim for anyone of the vegetarian persuasion, but I knew that ahead of time. The bloody mary, however, was to DIE for! Seriously so good and the prices were great compared to other places in Nashville. Service was also awesome and friendly, and parking was easy.
I attended this venue after reading some positive reviews online. Everything was fine besides the drunken man in a cowboy hat loudly informing everyone he was “from brownsville”. This was odd behaviour and I noticed a very strong odour coming from where he was sitting too, it was a very strange thing to happen to me.
Very welcoming and friendly bartenders & staff. I was there for Karaoke on a Sat night and everyone except the karaoke DJ seemed to be having a good time. I have to say the other reviews were correct. Other than that DJ, the experience was great. I didnt have any food, but there was a menu.
My favorite bar in nashville. the food, people, the karaoke, and staff are 10/10. my second home and safe place
Great atmosphere located off the beaten path from the “Nashville Scene”. I was there for a night of LIVE music and it was amazing.
Thank you for making my first trip to Nashville so fun! Bar is clean and staff is friendly - will definitely be a staple when i return!
The Margarita was great. The burger and fries were cooked perfectly and that home made Salsa the cook makes is to die for.
Historic Gay bar in East Nashville. Very lesbian friendly. Known for karaoke. Can get pretty packed.
Had an absolute blast here last night ! Im from out of town and ive wanted to come here for a looong time.Everyone was so nice and the bartender, Ally, made sure I felt welcome. Ill be coming back next time Im in town :)
I really really adore this spot. Great energy beautiful folks. Felt right at home. Excellent music. Cant wait to come back!
A wonderful place! I’ve been going since they opened! The best staff, the best owners, and the best atmosphere.
One of the OG cool bars in the East Side. Christa and crew run a tight operation with decent bar food (quesadillas are great!) and every spirit imaginable. The highlight of the evening is always the karaoke. The staff is consistently kind and attentive. A Jewel in Nashville.
The service is amazing. Everyone is so nice. However, there’s a dj that needs to go. I understand setting standards and whatnot. But to act like we all killed your dog because we want to sing multiple times a night is a little absurd
I took some girls for brunch on Sunday morning around 10:30. We were able to have our choice of seats but by noon it was a packed house. The atmosphere was great, the staff so friendly and the food was delicious! I ordered the paw paw burrito, smothered in queso and it was fantastic. This is a hidden gem when it comes to brunch. I’m afraid to over recommend for fear of being too busy but I feel the need to share some love. I will definitely be back.
Ive been here a couple times now and had two fairly different experiences. Dont get me wrong the vibe is great, bartenders are lovely. Karaoke and drag is fun.The first time was for a drag show and i really enjoyed myself even though I was aloneThe second time I went bc I felt like some karaoke after hitting up canvas and there were so many obviously straight people there that I was uncomfortable being there as a gay man and ended up leaving before my song came upInclusion is awesome and its great that we live in a city where straight people feel comfortable hanging out in bars like this but there comes a point where it doesnt feel like a queer bar anymoreI dont really know that anything can or should be done about it I just felt like I should leave a review as a warning to anyone expecting a purely lesbian or queer experience
Went alone on a Saturday evening, and even though Im a socially anxious wreck, everyone was SO, SO WELCOMING!!!Drinks and food came out quick (philly steak fries were superb) and the bartender came up with a delicious cocktail when I asked whats good. The bar got PACKED for karaoke and it was a blast! You can really feel the love and community here. 🌈Cant wait to come back!
I love lipstick lounge! I am here 2-3 times a month. HOWEVER the very rude karaoke host needs to go asap. He never has a positive thing to say (which being Frank a lot of negative things could be said about him I won’t mention) . I am sitting in the bar rn making this review and he quote said “you white people need to stop choosing basic songs!”. He also makes a big deal about people using the PUBLIC mics. Let people have a fun night . We are paying customers singing karaoke. These are the songs we chose. Be happy about it or lose business. Get him fired ASAP. This is such a sad review because EVERYONE else who works here is a 12/10 . Security, bartenders and hookah/ cigar lounge area. LOCALS please come to this bar, tourists come to this bar. Karaoke man/ they them / mean person please leave town.
Incredible queso. Great service. Great drinks. Great space. Ill be back
A lot of fun. There was a LOT of people in there the night we were there. Very fun place.
Had the honor of being taken out for karaoke here last Friday while I was passing through for work and visited some friends in the area and I can say I absolutely loved the people and atmosphere. You can feel the soul of this place on a Friday night and I really enjoyed it. Everything about the bar is fun and welcoming to everyone and my only regret is we didn’t stay out longer.
I was very disappointed with my experience. We were very excited to go to a lesbian bar considering there are only about 20 left in the nation. Bar tenders were fine, other patrons were rude and unwelcoming. We ended up leaving and having a great time at Cinco de mayo across the street.
Would write a 5 star review if the karaoke host, Jason, didn’t treat us so poorly. So disappointing considering we paid a cover charge to come in.
If you go here pay in cash, went with a party of 3 2 of us paid and both of us that paid had fraudulent charges on our account had to go through our bank to report it as the owner continuously said its not their fault when my bank is saying its 100% their fault
Super comfortable with a friendly vibe. We went mid week so a lot of locals. The owners were there and were awesome. We had such a good time we stayed until they closed!
The lipstick lounge is a fantastic place with totally different vibes depending on if you go during the day for brunch or at night for karaoke. The karaoke here is a very fun and interactive experience even if you dont sing yourself. The drinks and food are good. The clientele is cool and its located right in the heart of East Nashville surrounded by all sorts of other interesting places to visit before or after you drop by. Do yourself a favor and check out this unique spot if you havent.
Went to the Lipstick Lounge with a friend during our trip to Nashville. A big reason we chose Lipstick was because their karaoke experience was listed as one of the citys best. I can say it 100% lived up to the hype. I havent had that much fun in a long time. Other patrons were extremely friendly. Bar tenders were prompt. Only had to pay a $5 cover. Finding a place to park was a breeze as well. If youre ever in the area, make visiting this bar a top priority!
What a wonderful place with some wonderful people! The cigar lounge upstairs was a wonderful touch and they trust their patrons enough to leave foosballs in the foosball table. For people from out of town, drinks in Nashville are much more expensive, get used to it
Came here during my trip to nashville with my boyfriend and it was absolutely fantastic! Friendly service and delicious food and drinks. Recommend to anybody dropping by the area!
It was an interesting place. A friend of a friend of mine is owner so we stopped by for lunch. We ordered the chicken strips and they were huge! (Basically 1/2 chicken breast) Seasoned well and tasted great. Our server was very friendly and was right on to of anything we needed. The place was not what I expected- I thought it going to be more of a fancy place, but it was definitely more like your neighborhood bar. Very popular place. People were coming in by the droves. I can tell it is a favorite of locals.
I had so much fun at this bar! All of the other gay people make me feel at home. I made a lot of friends here and I cannot wait to come back! It tends to get a bit overcrowded and the parking situation kind of sucks but overall it is a very fun place to be!
This is a lesbian bar who is friendly and welcoming to ALL!!! They treat you like family! The drinks were strong (though the food was ok) and the music was fantastic! If you want away from Broadway check out the East Nashville scene.
Neat little place. I dont do bar scene life bit had to stop into a gay bar while in town to see Brandi Carlile. Karaoke was pumping up the volume and everyone was having fun. It is definitely very crowded and a small space.
My husband and I went here to celebrate my birthday. We had a bad experience somewhere else the previous weekend so he promised hed make it up to me and take me out again. So I chose The Lipstick Lounge. We had never been there before so we were excited to see how things would be. We were greeted by a warm welcome by the staff at the door. We went in to find friendly staff at the bar as well The karaoke jockey was good at his job and the stage announcer was a blast that kept the audience entertained. I fell in love with the atmosphere and the friendliest patrons I have ever been in the company of. I think I may have found my forever home for when I have the chance to let loose again. Thank you for having such a great place for the LBGT community to be able to come and be themselves!!! 💜🖤💜
Overall great vibe! Very welcoming. Good, strong drinks and fun clientele. I was visiting from out of town and had a blast dancing and enjoying karaoke with everyone!
A fun and inclusive space! It doesnt have the most elaborate of menus, but the options are decent, the staff were kind, the music event we attended was well run. Overall, a great little queer niche to make us feel in community whilst visiting!
The food here is great. Went for the first time for Sunday brunch. Had the cluckin stack. The French toast was perfect. The chicken tenders were great. Fries were awesome. They were short handed, but the server still busted her butt to get all the tables taken care of. She also had a great personality. Very friendly. If for nothing else, she is why I’ll come back.
I really enjoyed my time here when I came on Saturday night with some friends. This is a non-smoking LGBTQ+ owned bar that has a mixed demographic of both LGBTQ+ and everyone else type of place. Drinks are strong and cheap. Karaoke is the highlight of the visit and you genuinely have some great talent that got on the stage. I partook in the festivities by singing a couple of songs myself. I had a great time doing so and the crowd was engaging. I would love to come back soon and bring my friends.
Loved my experience here! Super fun and friendly!!
For starters I did not know that this was a gay bar but no matter what kind of bar it was it was the best experience the bartender was super nice and cool and very creative and the karaoke was fantastic with music choice and singers definitely would go again and I would definitely suggest as a fun go to bar
Hands down, the BEST neighborhood bar in Nashville. It’s a perfect bar for people - all people. Whether you sing, like to sing along, or think you can sing, check out this Nashville Jewel. Speaking of gems, the DJ, Jason, has beautiful blue eyes, a sexy smile and a quick Witt. #marrymefurthenight
We had lots of fun here both nights we were in 5 points. A fun karaoke bar that is completely accepting. My girlfriend event insisted we go back the second time, with the Friday cover. 100% recommend for people looking to have a good time with fun people without being judgemental of peoples singing ability.
Love lipstick lounge! Shows are great, people are super friendly, very eclectic crowd, drinks are decently priced. If you are easily shocked some of the shows may not be for you, just saying. This for me is an East Nashville gem, you need to go at least once.
It’s home. It’s comfort. It’s love. It’s excitement. It’s family. It’s safety. It’s community.I’ve met the most important people in my life here.Get the Fanta shot, tip well, sing a little and get the chicken tenders.
Never a bad time here! They have amazing brunch and the staff are all awesome. Dogs allowed on patio and even given their own bacon. :) Drinks are creative and tasty and theres always a fun event going on in the evening like karaoke, cards against humanity, trivia, etc.
Just all around awesome! I believe the parking is more than adequate. They have their own free lot in back with more than 20 spaces. In fact I believe we might all offer a round of applause for any business in Nashville with their own free lot at this point. Cant find that downtown. Does anyone at five points still have one? Great staff! Great neighborhood! Lovely historic building! Trivia is tons of fun! And the karaoke is unparalleled! The brunch is some of the best food in town. The staff and owners are a look at everything great about Nashville! Just check out their awards they say it all.
Love a lesbian bar, had an amazing time doing karaoke. It was after a Brandi Carlisle concert and all the gays had migrated. A celebration for sure
I love the lipstick lounge. It is one of the first gay bars I visited in Nashville and it has just the perfect vibe. It feels homely and fun. The bartenders are very friendly and super attentive. They have drag shows some days and they also have karaoke which is a lot of fun so keep an eye on events they may be having.
Lipstick Lounge is the LGBTQ+ mecca & church in Nashville. Allye & Leah are amazing bartenders who can multi-task like nobody’s business. Jonda has managed to take inclusiveness one step further for those who don’t drink, serving “Naked Lady” non-alcoholic spirits. I absolutely adore this establishment & am forever grateful.
We ended up at the Lipstick Lounge on recommendation of our Airbnb host and it didn’t disappoint. It is a welcoming, open minded bar with great people. They have Karaoke every night and although I don’t sing, I really enjoyed singing along from my seat at the bar!
It was my first time visiting Nashville. After spending the entire 1st day of my trip at Honkey Tonk Central, I decided that on the 2nd day I would switch it up a bit and head on over to East Nashville. I was looking for a place with good drinks, positive energy and overall a FUN time. Well, I found it at The Lipstick Lounge. The drinks were delish, the DJ/Host of Karaoke was one of the best! I sang karaoke and danced ALL NIGHT LONG!!! Such a great time! The next time Im over this way, I will definitely be coming back!
Fun and unique watering hole just five minutes from Five Points in East Nashville. Parking can be a challenge when busy. Ive embarrassed myself doing Karaoke a couple of times but had a blast. Good bartenders. Great alternative bar in the Five Points area.
Came here with a brother and our spouses (straight couples) for the karaoke and a drink after a concert in Nashville. I was a little nervous whether we would be well-received or not, but they werent kidding about the all-are-welcome part in the description. If you are a decent person who gets along with others, have been wanting to stop by here but are nervous about it, just get over yourself and stop in. No one gave us a hard time for wanting to join in, we were served our drinks with smiles and courtesy, we chatted up the other patrons at the bar, clapped and sang along with everyone on stage, and they did the same when we got up. Really one of the better experiences I have probably ever had in a Nashville bar. Would certainly stop by and do business again everytime Im in the area so long as they will keep having us.
Great drink options. Fun to see karaoke here after 8pm.
$5 cover to go into a shoulder to shoulder packed house. The drinks were watery/weak and not worth the money. We had to sit on the patio because that was the only place with some free space. Didnt have the energy of the karaoke crowd, however. Thankfully someone sparked up a joint to pass around, so that was cool... until a narc asked if the person would, please step into the alley to do that.
This was our 2nd time there from out of town and we loved it. Great food, nice strong drinks, cool atmosphere. Loved watching the karaoke. Seems like a very mixed crowd...a bunch of people of all types coming in (m/f, straight/gay). Wish we had a place like this in Memphis! Will stop in again when were in town :)
A party of 6 and we we had a blast! Great drinks, karaoke, food and vibes. Would highly recommend and special mention to Eli because she was totally awesome and friendly, a complete Nashville experience ❤️❤️❤️
So incredibly disappointed!! We are from NJ and specifically went out of our way to stop by the lipstick lounge. We stayed at a campground and used Uber for the first time EVER.Checked, checked, and double checked to make sure it was open. Internet said it was open on Monday at 6 PM...even as we pulled up in front of the closed bar the website said it was open now🤬😞🤬😞
Love this place. Very much captures the spirit of East Nashville in my opinion. Very welcoming and comfortable. Great staff. Wonderful and fun entertainment. Reasonable drink prices. Definitely a place to frequent. Most certainly LGBTQ+ friendly/centric.
Very hip local bar that also serves food. It is a very friendly and open minded establishment with regular karaoke nights. I had something called a pootie punch that was actually pretty tasty, but not quite as strong as I expected for the price. The long Island ice tea was a far better value and stronger. If your in the area you should stop in, but check your attitude at the door, this place is all about laid back friendship.
I was unaware that the Lipstick Lounge served brunch, however the food and drinks are really good. It’s not loud or busy, it’s a great was to come off a good night of going out. I personally recommended the Paw-Paw burrito 🤤
Went on a Saturday night. Parking can be tight, but we actually found a spot along the street. Shelly Fairchild was playing live that night, which we watched and enjoyed. After was karaoke which was boring so we left. Pretty small inside with an outdoor patio for smoking (if smoke bothers you reconsider because the smoke from outside travels inside) The drink I had was good and decent priced, one bartender was dry, one was cool. Probably wouldnt return....it was just okay.
Left broadway to come here because a friend recommended it so we called themTo see if they did karaoke but got no answer google says they’re open til 3am but we got there and they’re closed! WTH. Now we have to pay to park again to go back downtown or go home at 8:30!
This place exceeded my expectations. The area doesnt have a large variety of hip modern eateries. Pleasantly surprised. The burger was great. Cocktails were good. Sports bar atmosphere. Clean bathrooms. I definitely recommend eating here.
Love this spot. From night time karaoke to brunch in the morning, this place is the spot to be. Great place to feel at home, excellent drinks. Table service is excellent especially considering how busy it can get, cheesy fries are out of this world.
I want to give my neighborhood bar a stellar review but I can’t because I had to pay $5 to get in while at the same time turning over my to-go taco from Cinco de Mayo. Never have I ever been not allowed to take my leftovers into a bar, especially from a local restaurant that is across the street. Disappointed. I was real excited to come back to Lipstick, had some out of town friends meet us, and the the bouncer just ruined it for us.
I love this town bar. Small town feel karaoke with a twist. If you want to get away from the bustling city busy life, this is your spot! If visiting, this is more my hometown bar!! And I’m from Texas!!
Hated feels like a strong word... karaoke DJ is terrible, the staff is a mix of fantastic and a little bit of meh. They serve food so thats something. For a $5 cover, if youre considering going there, you could have just as good a time if not better going someplace else. Definitely not returning.
The Hippie breakfast burrito was AMAZING. I talked to the chef and on top of creating the dishes, he preps all the food, and makes all the salsas! Crystal, the bartender, was friendly and on point. I sat at the bar, but overheard the server behind me giving great tips to visitors. All around, great brunch experience! If youre visiting, u gotta come here!
My partner and I came from out of town and stumbled into a trivia night. We were so excited to find such a rare place like this. The people here are fantastic, we had so much fun here.
An extremely overrated place that needs a reality check on personality check with the staff from door ID checker to karaoke host to bartenders. All very rude. To start off the lady “checking ids” was clearly showing favoritism towards only girls and NOT charging them cover while charging the guys $5 per person. No special event had occurred like Ladies Night. I’ve seen this happen several times here. She wasn’t dressed like she worked here so I was apprehensive about giving $5 per person to a random stranger that was smoking outside and away from her post at the door. I questioned her about where to pay this $5 cover to her at least three times because I did not see a register or even a change purse. She then gave me and my friends a ton of attitude about it. Why would I pay money to a random stranger not dressed in appropriate attire to enter a bar?The bar is always so packed that getting a drink is an incredible task. Only ONE bartender and ONE bar on a packed Saturday night. When I arrived to the bar finally with cash in hand I was passed over several times until I had to officially make a verbal yell to not be passed up yet again. She then was too distracted to pay attention to me for a simple order that she made wrong THREE times. Then was charged $34 for a crown apple and cran plus a bottle of water. Outrageous amount. The karaoke host plays favoritism towards regulars and continues to skip over a first come, first serve request. No singer rotation at all.I use to love this place and came here quite often but it continues to go down hill and disappoint me each time. This will be my groups last visit to this place.
My fiance works in Shelbyville while Im at home in Ohio. Myself and a couple of friends came down we had a BLAST!! karaoke was fun! Drinks on the weak side ( no Hennessy) and as it became later the more packed it became. But everyone was nice. Wish it was bigger. We will visit again
Absolutely terrible service/management. Screaming at customers, throwing ice across the bar to get their attention, calling people names. Quite literally turned around to see her throwing ice with her bare hands at my friend then proceeded to yell about a mask while he was standing near our table. Was verbally assaulting everyone. This was last weekend, 3/20. I understand the pandemic rules, but there is a better way to enforce them. Im a local and was excited to check this place out but was highly disappointed and will not return.
Ive always felt welcomed and a sense of community here. Unlike the bars on Church Street everyone is welcome, no cliques, no split groups, everyone is family. Karaoke is awesome and Framily Feud is hilarious.
Came here for brunch with my fiancé. Great atmosphere and food. The staff is super cool. Love this place
Best Tex Mex brunch in nashville. It’s nice because you don’t feel like you have to dress up super fancy and it’s not usually packed like most nashville brunch spots- just excellent service and delicious cocktails.
Great women-centric queer bar. Went to the queer artist night and and they were all incredibly talented. Friendly and attentive bartenders, nice space, great music.
This place was the worst experience. Paid $5 to get into an overcrowded bar with only 1 bar that moved slowly. Gave it another shot the next day in hopes it would be better but the bartender was rude and full of attitude. Definitely a waste of time and money.
Disappointing experience. Was extremely overcrowded. Took forever to get a drink, which was very watered down. Customers rudely pushing others to get to the bar, people fighting over chairs. The only space was in the smoking area on the patio.
Great bar, lovely staff and good people.Except for the person who stole my belt off the bathroom door on Sunday, 12/4. Karma is coming for you.
A safe place where you can just casually hang & be yourself. You will hear great cover bands, artists performing their original stuff, & the best singers in Nashville performing karaoke. Plus you never know who might pop in to belt some tunes, like Chris Daughtry 1 night I was there. The chicken fingers are like Mommas cookin & the BLT w/ Avocada is one of my favs. Plus everyone LOVES their crinkle fries. Its def not your typical bar food.
First time ever going there and was not treated well by the staff. No one ask us if we wanted something to drink or a menu. We were sitting at the bar and the person behind the bar put on the horse head and give us the middle finger. We did nothing to her nor did we say anything out of the way or disrespectful. Wont go back
Its the best LGBT bar in Nashville for those who wanna sit and talk or play karaoke etc etc. The staff is friendly. Only reason i gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is that it is way too small for the amount of people.
Had Brunch here on a last minute decision. The food was great, really Freindly staff. Is a great choice if your in the area and want Great food and drinks
Always fun at the lip. This bar is all inclusive of all friends. Its just a great spot to relax, drink and eat and have fun. Great entertainment and staff makes sure you have a great time.
Lipstick lounge is your local bar in east Nashville in competition to the others popping around here. Bar prices are we great and nominal and the 2for1s on the Thursday is a killer of a deal before 10pm. Check it out and enjoy the vibe.
Such a great bar. We went one karaoke night and it was a blast. It was nice electric group of people all their to have fun.
SO MUCH FUN. i went on karaoke night. The staff was very nice. I had too much to drink, left my phone there overnight and when i picked it up the next day they had charged it for me!!!!!!!!! Who does that?
Best cheese hamburger Ive ever put in my mouth!! Great service and Drag Bingo with Rachel Redd was an absolute blast!! Next time Im in town... This will be a must stop!!
Great people, strong drinks and awesome karaoke. The only downside is the size. I will definitely visit again when in Nashville.
I had a great time at Trivia night! The food is great, the atmosphere is fun and welcoming, and the bartender Eli was fantastic! Will definitely be returning
Karaoke and Framily Feud are a must do! Bar staff is awesome, massive karaoke catalog, and Kennedy does an amazing, and hilarious, job of hosting the Feud. The tacos! You must try the tacos!
Inclusive and safe. Had a great time!
Love this place! Great atmosphere in a small local bar that happens to be lgbt friendly. A little crowd on the weekends of course but thats because its a good time
I go here for brunch sometimes. Very good food and you can always get seated right away. I have not checked it out at night as a bar, but am hoping to soon.
My girlfriend & I always have a great time. Please open a Lipstick Lounge in Murfreesboro! Theres not one gay bar here. You would make lots of money. Lol
The guy who calls names for karaoke was not very welcoming which was a downer, but other then that all the people were really fun who were there.
Stopped by for the end of a drag show and the beginning of karaoke; The queens had the perfect amount of sass and knew how to entertain and throw shade to those they found were deserving
A safe place to be yourself.
We had a great time. Met some amazing people and enjoyed our evening. Thank you for a wonderful night visiting from Minnesota.
The best bar in Nasville!!! Love going there!!! Great food and drinks!! The staff is Awesome!! Great Kerioke!! I love East Nashville!!!! 😉
This place just keeps getting worse. Other than karaoke or live performances this place has went downhill. If your goal is to just get trashed, they do have strong drinks.
Ist Saturday of each month, Shelly Fairchild rocks this place. Be there. Excellent owners, staff, food & drink. Yum!
Really had high hopes for this place after a bunch of coworkers had talked it up. Sadly, the DJ and staff made us uncomfortable as we waited for our friend, who was moving away, to arrive. I left right after she got there because I felt so looked down upon.
Great bar. Mist think it is a lesbian bar, but everyone is wekcome. Some if the best karaoke in Nashville.
I love this place! I’m not gay but if you want an atmosphere where people are allowed to be creative and joyful….then TADA!!!!
One of my very favorite stops when i was in Nashville!
Great little place, good karaoke....nice place to chill with no attitude! Ask for Maggie she makes the best drinks!

I had a great time, but the space is small and it can get crowded very quickly.
Except for the overwhelming weekend crowd, its a great place. (Beware of the bachelorettes--aka the door girls.)
