Very strange experience at this gay bar, which I thought was supposed to be a safe place for the LGBTQ+ community, but I definitely felt unwelcomed.Went early on a Sunday so that I could get a good parking spot and there was no crowd when I arrived. I stood at the spot where you order drinks for five minutes before a bartender would take my order. They looked at me several times, but blatantly ignored my presence. Furthermore, I ordered the same exact drink three times and the price changed each time. I chalked my time and money spent there as a loss, but will never go back nor will I recommend it to anyone else in our community. Sad our community has become so unwelcoming, unfriendly, money hungry, and toxic.
Trax closing couldnt happen to a better more deserving business. It is a vile place that needed a free clinic bus parked outside at all times. It should of be shuttered a long time ago. There are much more respectable LGBT places around Nashville.
Go expecting a dive bar and you wont be disappointed. Very friendly people. Unpretentious.I wouldnt order anything fancy because even my old fashioned wasnt top notch but thats ok.Im currently dry for Lent and was so pleased that they have NA Heineken! It was great to be able to have a beer and hang out like a normal person. Another more pretentious gay bar on Church street had NOTHING for us. They just gave us free Cokes and looked at us like we were sad af.We played pool last time and it was fun, but with only one table there can be a line for it. And it is a tight spot without room on some sides of the table. The food is mediocre, but I wasnt expecting much. They make stuff in the air fryer but are upfront abut it.Love their patio especially in the summer. Very nice hidden gem out there.Half the time they look at like we must be confused and have accidentally stumbled into a gay bar, but they are always friendly and sometimes downright chatty.
This spot screams dive bar. The drinks are super strong, which is a plus. But the bathroom situation with no lock on the door? And its not really the go-to spot for a younger crowd
It’s been my home bar for 10 years. It’s where the locals go. From all walks of life. And it’s definitely the place to be after midnight.
At the end of the night some guy who worked there yelled at me and violently snatched my drink out of my hand in an attempt to kick me out at 3. I waited a while for the drink and didnt get it until 5 minutes before close. Also its a lousy little hole in the wall with one pool table where people go for drugs.
Not disability friendly at all! Went with my friend who is in a wheelchair and she backed up onto a rug and fell out of her chair and the security people started asking us to leave and we hadnt even been able to order a drink!! They assumed we were drunk and tried blaming me for her falling when it was the entry rug! Would not recommend for anyone who is disabled.
Trax is more local and I promise you, there is many friendly and comfortable to meet. I love that place
Flew into town for Sarah Brightman’s concert at the Ryman and unintentionally came here on the bear 🐻 club’s long John Toys for Tots Christmas party! It was such a friendly, unpretentious, fun place! After 2 for 1 happy hour, mingled with some handsome bears on the back patio and met some most gracious ladies who knew how to party 🎊 Then it became quite a festive crowd! Terrific music & definitely the best bar of the entire trip. This pic was taken when I returned to my Broadway hotel though I don’t remember taking it. 🥳
Trax is a excellent establishment for gay locals and visitors to get a drink, have an entertaining night, and to create hilarious memories to tell your friends about later.Drinks: There drinks are surprisingly good here! They have a fairly limited selection, but they do cover most of the bases (beer, limited wine, spirits). You can even get a little airplane bottle of wine with a straw if you so choose.Food: My apologies if this review is a little off as the burnt pizza suggestion as an item made me laugh really hard XD. I would only eat the food here if youre very drunk and need it ( I have tried most of the food). Nothing wrong with it Healthwise, just not very high quality and usually a little overcooked; aka your average bar food. If you do choose to eat here I would suggest the chicken tenders, cheese sticks, jalapeño poppers, or the corndog bites if theyre available. They also have a lot of bagged merchandise like chips, crackers, and I think popcorn too.Service: The service is hit or miss time-wise but if you go here a few times the staff really do grow on you and mean well so its easier to forgive the times when theyre not 100% speedy. Surprisingly there is very little turnover staff wise in my experience here which is a good sign. The root issue with service is that there isnt much space and there is only one real access point to the bar if youre not sitting at it. This spot also happens to be a high traffic area due to it also being the path that leads to the back patio and the cooking station.Atmosphere: I love the atmosphere here; its grungy and you absolutely will NOT be judged in any way, and people are always having a good time. If youre uppity, this is certainly not a place you will feel comfortable (I happen to prefer that outcome). They also have a patio out back which is where I usually hang out! Its open air and even though there are people smoking out there I still like it fine. This is where most of the entertainment of the night happens. I will say that this is by far the friendliest gay bar in all of Nashville and that in itself is worth it in our current social climate. This bar never feels cliquish and is a phenomenal place to make new friends and acquaintances. My last piece of advise here is that if you have a phobia of dirty toilets, dont come here when its super busy. Life happens. XD
I tried to meet friends here who convinced me it was better than the past after smoking was no longer permitted inside. However, the guy at the front door completely stereotyped me and made me feel incredibly unwelcomed 2.5 seconds when I got into the place. Then people started asking what was going on and he played it off as me not wanting to pay a cover to get in. At that point it was 2 AM and I hadnt had a single drink all night so I just agreed with the guy and walked out, because I could see this was not a good place to be.Ive had some issues in the past, but I was really caught off guard and I had no idea how to respond. It was really hurtful. People cant help the way they are programed.
It’s five stars when Chance is there but anything less than that is one star! Great job everyone!
Trax is by far my favorite bar. It’s not pretentious like some of the others. Super stiff drinks, amazing happy hour, huge outdoor deck/patio with tons of plants. Entire staff is friendly and personable. Awesome owner. Pool table, darts. I don’t really care to spend my money/time anywhere else.
By far the best place to have a good time! This team was so amazing and treated the Chris and Max bachelor party like family. 10/10 absolutely fabulous! Cory, Fernando, Dalton and everyone else stay amazing babies! -love your STL Family
I loved my Christmas 2022 week in Nashville and spent quality time in Trax enjoying the food, basic bar food, drink and the company of some sweet, sweet men.A very grounded, inexpensive place where I had the best time meeting nice guys.If you’re looking for a friendly, welcoming place in Nashville … visit Trax.
Music is GREAT! The staff is super friendly and the drinks are stiff!! So glad I stopped into this local spot. Will definitely be returning when I come back to Nashville.Bonus : Staff all had on masks and there was a bottle of hand sanitizer on every table.Definitely come out and support this local business!!
I went here because it popped up on Google. I will never regret it. The bar was busy but not crazy. The music was bangin. The staff, I cant say enough! I was greeted by this hairy queen Reed, who welcomed me and introduced me to the other bartenders & made me a perfect drink. He left the bar to show me around. He is stellar! I will be back & soon. Tell Reed Im coming to see him & the bar! This place rocks 🤘
Im giving 2 stars, just to support the gays but this place sucksss lol. The drinks are bad, the guys are... less than great looking, the music is lame, and the back patio is dirty and tragic. The last time I went there was literally a pile of dried throw up just chilling in a puddle. And did I say the drinks were trash? Gay bars should have hella strong drinks. These are just mixers and a tiny bit of alcohol. Its out in the middle of nowhere, so you cant walk to any other bar. One thing I will say is that the bartenders are nice. Extremely slow, but nice.
I came threw traveling had a job in nashville. Wanted to find a place to hang out found this place. I absolutely love this place made so many nice people And made so many new friends. The bartenders are just great people. The owner Steve cant say enough kind words for him. The manager another great person. This is by far the best bar I have ever been too. And no one feels out of place in here. And I also got to say prices are cheap the drinks will knock your sox off. The food is also banging 😋 for bar food . Just want to say thanks again. Isabella 😊🥰
TRAX CLOSED ITS DOORS AND HAS GONE OUT OF BUSINESS PERMANENTLY AT THIS LOCATION.
I just want to give a solid shout out to the bartender who initiates fights! not only did he initiate a fight, but he encouraged it! encouraged a man to HIT A WOMAN! i’ve heard only bad things about this place, but after checking it out myself. DISGUSTED. i hope this place gets shut down & PLEASE let the skinny white male bartender atleast get fired.
Mathu was behind the bar in his shirtless glory. He made me feel at home and welcomed a new comer to the area and bar. I was most impressed of his knowledge of scotch and beers. I did not try the food, but I am sure its just as great as the drinks! Drink prices are affordable.
My bridal party and myself spend the evening of my bachelorette party here. I have never felt so much love as I did in this bar. Every one was so nice and made us feel like VIP’s. Both employees, entertainers and even Other customers went out of their way to make this a great, memorable night!! I love all of them! We will definitely be back!
It was my first time there, just exploring all Nashville has to offer the Lgbt community and I felt welcome as soon as I walked into the bar. Very friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and an overall all great setting. Will definitely be coming back ASAP.
I have been to this club on a few occasions and every time I go the servers add tips on to my card charges even after I give them a cash tip..I will be calling the club and also pressing charges cause it’s the same white bartender with dark hair EVERY TIME
First impressions: there are ash trays on the tables, but a bloodhound and/or my grandmother couldnt tell anyones ever smoked in here. We ordered cocktails by obscure names; bartender nailed it. This place is so clean, one could easily eat off the floor. Im kinda pissed were moving out of state next month, after 3 years in Nashville, because this is our inaugural trip to this place, and Im smitten.
Was a little worried when we pulled in...shady area almost under an overpass with bars on the window. Wow were suprised. Everyone was very friendly. Drag queens, pups, leather harnesses, straight, man, woman, in-between, white, black, definitely a come one come all type place. Very cool dive type bar. Will have to come back when we are in town!
They have a really great patio! The gay scene has really gotten bigger in Nashville and TRAX definitely reflects that growth with more folks going out here than in the past.
Place is closed permanently or for remodeling. I don’t know.
Great atmosphere, no pressure, no worries, just relax and get a drink. You can feel safe here . Enjoy!
I ordered 4 drinks and all my drinks has many bugs in it. And then I talked to the manager about my song and he said no no no no thats mean he didnt respect my request. I dont recommend to go to this bar.
Cory and justin and everyone who sang their hearts out and the vibe of the best bachelor party experience we love each and every one of you from Damarcus Dalton and Gregory 😋 and Stacy and Jeff and Lee and the queens running the show
Its a small cozy place with a very friendly bar staff. Bartender is very engaging. Its my favorite bar to go too.
I guess I accept Gays more than they accept straight white women. I was banned recently, by a customer. Wth, I have had as much fun as any other. Still love a few of the bartenders. But Steven should have explained and banned me. I have spent $1000.00s of dollars in this bar. But, my money is good everywhere Im accepted!!!
The Bar is the Best Gay Cheers, Neighbor hood Bar with everyone excepted. Staff not your regular, they love messing with you, just like you them. Fun, Entertaining, let your hair down. Kimmy, Jeremy, Adam, Capi, Friends with everyone. Fake, Pretentious, Fighters, UNWELCOME. Love the place.
Adam the bartender was outside and saw us and welcomed us in the bar and he made our drinks almost they hole time we were there made us feel right at home and we will be back to the bar soon
I would give this bar in Nashville more then 5 stars if I could. I travel for busn and I stopped in on a couple bars. I loved Trax. I think the bartendersAndrew and Kim, are not only friendly and handsome, but they make, great drinks and they really care about the customers. Kudos guys to both of you.
Wrong hours posted can from out of town wasted time and money
This is Nashvilles Gay Cheers! Great drinks and great people! If u want a warm welcome come on down to this hole in the wall and you will feel at home from the moment you walk in the door!!!
I’m at a point in life where I can’t stomach crowded pretentious gay bars with cookie cutter snobby men and mobs of bachelorettes. I prefer places like Trax. I go by myself sometimes because literally no one bothers me. There’s no pressure. I can relax, have a drink and play PacMan or pool in peace. I know I don’t fit in there but no one seems to care. The people hanging there don’t have that “who do you think you are?” cocky attitude. It’s chill and much more interesting than any other gay bar in the city. As long as they keep my drinks strong and my pocket full of quarters they can do no wrong.
Wonderful people. We landed at the airport on Thanksgiving day and had the best experience. They fed us warm food and welcomed us with warmer hearts. Cannot recommend this place enough.
Ive been only once, and Ill never go back. I saw people having sex either in the restroom (cuz they were too drunk to lock the door) and on the patio in the back. It reeked of vomit and when I said something to the bartender he said it always smells like that in that one spot that I was sitting at. Its a trash bar. Theres only one kind of person that goes to a place like this.
Beautiful atmosphere! Friendly bartenders...however they tend to forget you ordered a drink 🤗 Sunday evening crowd loads of fun
If your a fan of toothless hillbillies tryin to gum you in the bathroom this is a great place. Not sure if the other reviews have ever been out of the south but this is nothing but bottom barrel rednecks trying to get off before preaching against you the following morning in church.
The owner is just awesome. So this eat my first time here and he took time to show me around and everyone was very humble! Great place and great people! You earned my business!
Cory was an amazing bartender! Best customer service ever! Will definitely be back just cause of his sense of humor! SHAWN IS SATISFIED 😍😍😍‼️
Loved this place. Its a true throwback to the way gay bars should be run and operated. Friendly staff and friendly guests. A definate place to revisit or hang out.
The bar is fine, it’s the very small percentage of morally challenged individuals that ruined it for me… went maybe 5 times…
I really dig the atmosphere of this place and the drinks are amazing!!!!
Very friendly bar.
Great place to kick back with a good crowd a friends.People dont bother you and everyone is friendly.. great service, food, and bartenders..
Love this place, I came in a couple months ago I love the atmosphere very laid back chill and bartender is awesome can’t wait to be able to visit again some time
Always fun and lowest drink prices in town. Has that wonderful bar smell that I miss...you can smoke in the bar too!
Spent 1000.00 tipping drag performance and got told to leave because one of owners doing drag was rude to me and after enough I stood up for myself and got told to leave never threatened anyone or used cussing or violence if you are not from area or in their scene you are a outcast Ive been to play several times and never had issues or at any other bar in my lifetime this place is rude cause of owner throwing weight around not a business with customers in mind only drama
Ive been to a lot of bars. This is one has got a really nice feel and some great music.
Totally awesome local bar....just what I was looking for. Yall made a truck driving out of towner feel at home!! See ya soon!!
Its amazing, Im been there twice and Im coming back for more. Jajaja
Rest in peace Sabre Patton all will miss youYou will now make Heaven a better placeRemember us, cause we will definitely remember You Sabre Patton (John Vest)
I love this bar...it dont matter what you are, gay, straight. You are always treated like family
Hole in the wall. Some of the drag queens were entertaining. That is about it. We were supposed to go to tribe but got confuse with the name.
A grungy gay bar in Nashville, can be a nice change of pace if you’re used to Play every weekend.
Just a trashy little bar. It’s fun to go to on occasions. Everyone and staff is excellent.
Great place I love it the owner and atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming!!
Good service at the bar, nice comfortable patio. Smoke wasnt an issue even though it is a smoking bar.
Great little gay bar for those wanting to be around a more mature crowd.
Great outdoor seating area with lots of plants, good music, and sun.
Smoking bar, ugh. Why cant it be like in Atlanta, smoke outside on the patio....just saying, everybody is catered to then.
This is a great place to hang with friends and on thursday and Sundays they Have Karaoke
Bartenders are sweethearts; good energy; friendly locals.
It is a smoking bar! But thay are awesome!!! Great people who are down to earth !!!
I would say they treat you like family but they treat you better than that.
Warm and friendly great staff fast service good food and very relaxing
I can ALWAYS count on having a good time here, from drinks to the staff, Thanks
Had a great time with Veronica playing Drag Bingo tonight
Very friendly staff and I think this is where the locals really go for a beer.
Nice folks. Great prices. But the smoke. Ugh.
Favorite neighborhood gay bar! Kimmy is the best!
Top notch for friendly crowds and potent drinks
Closed permanently.
Nice place to have a beer on a lonely afternoon.
Friendly fun, l love this place!
Why does this bar still allow people to smoke in it? Its disgusting.
