Cobra Nashville

Nashville is full of venues. This is a real one. Great sound system, good size room for gigs, cool sound person, bar staff were friendly and even the door guy was tough but friendly. If youre looking for Broadway, this isnt it. This is The Cobra!*Pictures of a sound check

I enjoyed this place thoroughly. However, I didnt go on a normal night. There was an event going on. As I understand, the regular crowd is much different. This place has two patio areas, more than one bathroom. The layout is interesting and allows for bands. And there are at least 2 bar areas although I dont know if they would always be open.

LOL my brother Corey Snowden was playing music at the location and his favorite 17 year old nephew wanted to go hear him play but was disappointed to find out a person has to be 18 years old to get inside. Otherwise, this is an awesome place to hang out in Nashville!

Great bar to hang and listen to music. They have a pool table and couple of dart boards, too. Theres a separate venue room that had a cover charge but the bar area had free live music so we hung there (we didnt know the names playing in the paid venue otherwise we would have gone). Definitely be back.

I come here once a month for SLC and I always have a fantastic time!! Great place to come and dance the night away with likeminded freaky peeps. The entertainment is amazing and the people that come are (9.9 times out of 10) chill people. It’s very industrial goth, I recommend checking it out :)

One of my favorite bars in Nashville. It’s always a delight to see the bouncer, Gwyn, and even more of a delight when they’re behind the bar.

Fun venue! Fiive bands played in one night, but the night flowed smoothly because they have two rooms with stages, so bands can easily play back to back. Theres enough space on the back patio for everyone to go out and get fresh air or smoke between bands. Had a great time seeing Daikaiju, Guitar Wolf, and Hans Condor here!

Stopped in here for a quick drink so I cant speak for the food but the atmosphere was super cool and the bartender was really friendly. They also had these spirited whiskey drinks and this one was dangerously delicious! Highly recommend trying.

Ive only been to a couple venues in Nashville but this is definitely one of the best! I totally enjoyed the industrial feel of the place, and the layout was pretty cool too, except I spent 10 minutes waiting at the wrong stage for the wrong show LMAO. We came out on 12/9/2022 to see Not Your Nails, and it was an absolutely amazing show! I will definitely be coming back to future events at this venue.Industrial Santa rocks! 🤟

One star is not low enough. If you get too descriptive in a bad review, chances are it will be disputed so lets not* do that. Rather I will say this place, you warn people from going to, and any band you respect, youll talk to their manager. This place is connected to dirty people who treat the owner like hes a pointless fool & they own his club in proxy, to do literally things that not only lower property value for everyone invested in the East side, but rightly put it on watch list radars.

The music venue is quaint, but that doesnt detract from the vibe, rather, it seems to enhance it and make the experience more personal. The bartender was amazing and very friendly. She also kept a close eye on everyones belongings and drinks to keep them safe. I appreciated that a lot. I went to see Al1ce and after the experience, Id definitely go back to see other bands. The drink prices were pretty steep, but what isnt nowadays...

The Cobra Team are incredible to work with! Great venue + bar for epic music/bands and their engineers are magic with sound! They also have expanded with an outdoor patio also providing live music. Love what they bring to East Nashville and city! 🖤☺️

I go to concerts here a lot. The staff is really friendly. Promoters are kind and easy to work with. Music, man, they get great bands! Ego Likeness, Rain Within, Becoming the Devourer, Adoration Destroyed, Spider Lillies, and other Goth and underground, alternative and other genres too. They do benefits occasionally and I really like it there. The stage is small, the actual venue part of the club is good for crowds of less than 200.It has a good goth scene when we are there, but thats not their constant crowd. Great dive bar vibes with a live music venue next door. Large outdoor seating plus games inside. Great spot to escape the hype bars. Staff was friendly and genuine, cant ask for more! Definitely would go back!!!

Staff great except for the armband guy at the front with a bad attitude, great food and drinks. Atmosphere would be better if they fixed door dudes attitude. Parking sucks/non-existent. Bands are awesome especially #Guillotine with firegirl #Lucky.

If you want an authentic Nashville dive bar experience — DO NOT go to Cobra. There are lots of better dives in East.This place sucks in every way. Management doesn’t care about the neighborhood or the musicians. Cleanliness is a huge problem. The crowd is a bunch of entitled douchebags, and the staff matches that energy.We love our dive bars in East Nashville, and you can find a better one. Cobra ain’t it.

This is my local. I absolutely love it at this bar. The staff is cool and the art cant be beat. Pool is only $1 a game so its cheap enough to play 9-ball! The outside deck / smoking area is equipped with a bitchin heater. The breakfast burrito is on point after a night of drinking.

Fun!! Went to see the Smoking Peas and they were fabulous! Whole place had a cool vibe. Smoking inside most areas, but not in concert area. Pool tables, darts, and super friendly staff. Will definitely go back!

Always a dope show and one of the only few venues that courageously host Hip Hop shows along with other genres. A little smokey sometimes but nice bar tenders and sound. Great place to catch up with a friend and grab cold beverage.

This place is very cool. I didnt have any food, just hung out late after my band played nearby. Id love to play here.

Pretty cool venue but they were playing really loud music on the speakers in the bar which drowned out the music the performers were actually playing and felt really really really disrespectful to the musicians. there was a dedicated sound operator too so I was just shocked they didnt address it at all...

This place surprised me. My hotel was out of power so I decided to go check this place out. Packed with alot of people but after about 15 minutes of standing I was able to secured a seat at the bar. Atmosphere was great, the vibes were great, the live band was also great. But what made this great was the 3 bar tenders, they did their best for the guests. Might try to go there one more time before I fly back home to California. And whats funny, seems like I was the only Asian guy there and enjoyed myself.

Went here for the first time to see He Is Legend. Love this venue! The vibe, the energy, and the support for the bands is awesome. The prices are great and surely will keep people coming in the doors for a long time. Bar tenders were speedy and friendly along with all the staff. Boyfriend and I brought some great merch. Loved that there is plenty of free water next to the bar (something imo every place that serves drinks should do as not only a courtesy but a necessity). Sweet decor. Theres a cig vending machine if you forget/want smokes and a nice little outdoor patio for smokers. Love that its not in downtown Nashville so parking and getting around is breeze. No place I wouldve rather gotten knocked around, helped carry surfers and banged my head at tonight. 🤘

Grudge bar, very popular with locals. Pool able (1), darts, large sized bar, large amount of out door seating plus outside heater. Staff here are very nice, guests (the locals I was talking about) are mostly respectful and good. Make sure you bring your ID, they card everyone. Parking is free and behind the building. No stupid friendly park like downtown.

I mean... the drinks are cheap. Love that. Very dive-y. The crowd changes a lot but its mostly white punk and goths. Theres a large back patio area which I love. Partly covered and partly uncovered. Theres a spare room where they do shows. Theres a pool table, darts, and other stuff. Its actually pretty large when I think about it... The bartenders are chill and nice. The girl bartenders are nice. The guy bartenders are slow, in my experience. Theres a pretty girl with long, straight brunette hair. Shes the best. Its really lame that it closes at 2am. But other than that its fine. It could use more live music, for sure. You never know when its going to be popular. Some nights its dead. The music is... characteristic of the spot. It ranges from terrible to decent, Id say. The people are very alternative. Its all white people and the black guys who date white girls. Not my favorite, but when youre in Nashville there arent many options for alternative spaces.

I asked my Uber to recommend me the most grunge place he could think of.This place was everything I dreamed it would be and more.Cheap drinks, immaculate vibes. If I come back to Nashville it will solely be to visit this bar.

Bartender scammed me. Dont know if Ill get my money back. Watch for them adding tips and overcharging for drinks. I asked for a margarita, told him to just pay it out. $20 dollars for a margarita? And then a $5 tip I didnt add because I never got to see my receipt to even add one

Do you like a punk, goth, rocker, dive bar? Then this is the place for you, they have darts, pool tables, and from time to time live bands. I totally recommend going here to hang out.

The Cobra is a really fantastic blend of upscale and dive bar atmosphere. Pool tables, dart boards, and a separate room for the venue area brings a welcoming, upbeat, and lively aura that is key for a wonderful bar experience. Smoking is allowed indoors which doesnt bother me personally, however it may be a turn off for some. The staff is usually attentive and always on the move. Ive only had 1 or 2 instances where staff has come across harshly/rudely to some customers, but by no means is that the norm. I absolutely recommend The Cobra if youre looking for a new bar/venue to frequent!

I drove 45 minutes for a show I bought tickets to and they wouldn’t let me in. Sure, whatever, but I requested a refund and they told me to email them. They proceeded to ghost me and delete my tickets. Now I’m out gas and $30 thanks cobra.

Really interesting establishment! It has a bar with a small stage for performances. It also has a dedicated game room with pool table and arcade games (pacman and pinball machines). There is an ATM inside. It also has a separate larger stage for paid gigs. Sound system was good. Would definitely go back for another show!

Smoke Em if You Got Em, while you still can! A city famous for tourists binge drinking on the street, outlaws smoking in ALL bars, no exceptions! USA! USA! USA! First they came for the cigarette smokers, and I said nothing... except that cigarettes are gross and they stink! Plus, I like smoking outside where the air is fresh anyways... When they came for me, I put up no resistance, I jumped into the fully loaded bus because prison is the only place left to smoke inside.

Love this bar. Depending on the night it can be easy breezy or busy. Have shows almost every night. Have a lot of free shows during the week. They do an open mic comedy show on Sundays. Pools tables, Darts, huge patio, and a taco shop are some of its features. You could have a drink and just get lost in it.

Cobra is by far one of the coolest spots Ive stumbled upon since coming to this city! Huge place with a lot going on for it!! You can tell that everyone already knows that Cobra is the place to be. Im honestly looking forward to going back again soon!!!Cheers! ~ TrippyRicky

Came to “She’s Lost Control” on July 31’st 2021 with my girlfriend and we were let in by the guy at the front door. Drove 45 minutes from Columbia to Nashville for this.For one it’s supposed to be goth night and they were just playing pop. We got hungry and left for food then came back and all of a sudden apparently you’re supposed to be 21 to enter (note that neither the banner for SLC nor the venue said you have to be 21+ to enter and the guy had already let us in before) so after being in leaving and coming back they kicked her out. We just came for fun and to dance. Not to mention the infrastructure sucks its old and smelly, the bathroom mirror is covered in stickers its a useless mirror, the parking spot is terrible too. Wont be coming here again

Saw some bands on the small stage and had a good time. Drinks were reasonable (I think $5-6 for whiskey and coke). They have a fairly big free lot behind, which is hard to come by sometimes.

Saw MDC here on a Monday night, fantastic way to kick off a vacation and start a road trip. Excellent stage and bar area. I really enjoyed the massive cobra mural on the side of the building. Handy outdoor smoking area. Only thing i noticed slightly off was that outside around our car and the back alleys were a number of suspicious looking prowling people. No problems though. Thanks for the entertainment 👍

Punk Rock Diy Burritos and Booze

A few months ago, I would have recommended this place because of the atmosphere and the food. I cant anymore because the owners decided to fire the sexy lady running the kitchen. She was not only a great cook, offering restaurant quality burritos and tacos but also was a ray of sunshine. For any of the regulars who miss Suzie and her food, I am happy to tell you she is running her own kitchen. She has a page on Facebook. Check it out. As for this bar, I say find some where else to drink.

A very well rounded indoor outdoor Rock Bar! The hosted the pre party for metallica! Good prices on beer and food. The also have pulled tables hair so youre sure to have a good time! Check it out!

The people working here were extremely rude. It smelled like rotten oysters inside. Im pretty sure someone peed on the floor. If youre into that kinda stuff, then this would be the place for you.

Love this bar and venue! Always an excellent time and you never know what incredible live music you are going to hear there. Great service from the bartenders. Reasonable prices. The food at the Tiny Kitchen is fantastic! They have tacos, burritos, quesadillas, street corn, burrito bowls and more. Ingredients are always fresh, homemade sauces. I recommend the tilapia fish tacos, beef brisket burrito with chimichurri, pulled pork burrito bowl with avocado cream sauce, and the chipotle honey grilled chicken quesadilla!

Cobra is an East Nashville staple. Great prices, great patrons. And if youre not sure where to go for a good show just stop in because chances are youll make a new best friend and find a new favorite band.

Hipster bar. Not a bad thing though. Cool atmosphere and has live music. The layout is a bit functionally retarded and hard to move around when its packed but overall its a nice place to hang out.
