I had a little trouble finding this at first bc I was looking for The Filling Station and those doors were locked but didnt know it was basically the same thing/side-by-side. Fortunately a local pointed me to the right place.I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon during Essence Festival weekend to pick up a hot sausage po boy (delicious!). I was the only customer at first, and ended up chatting with Chad, one of the bartenders. He was so cool and down-to-earth. He made me a Green Tea drink while I waited & had a bomb 80s/90s R&B playlist playing that held me hostage for a while (I just wanted to order and leave, lol)!I saw how he really took care of his customers and expressed how he wants people, especially the young ladies to feel safe at the establishment. Next time Im in the French Quarters Ill be sure to swing by!4 stars bc of the bathroom...its a dive bar type of spot overall so dont expect any frills, but there was no hand soap or paper towels available.
We have been in New Orleans a few days...had a lot of fun and have had some really great food. We went looking for a place to just kick back and relax off of Burbon St. and found The Garage!! Good food and drinks...pool tables, games & music...& Great service!Chad, our bartender/server, was Awesome! He was friendly and fun and we felt like we made a new friend! Highly recommend as a place to go to chill and have a fun afternoon or evening!!
Found this place by chance and wow! Stayed for two hours and had a great chat with Chad (a multi tasker employee who made the best cheese burgers)! He even created a new drink called the 5 Stars for us and yes it was awesome! Check it out!
Nice place to hang out near and far enough from Bourbon St madness. The chill vibe of a dive with the amenities and cleanliness of a family friendly place.Really nice guy working the food area Cajun Dragon. I was excited to try the spicy beef yakamein which had a really good flavor but was a bit thick and really salty. I wish it was brothier. Probably good if I was drinking that night but I was drying out on my last night in NOLA. Fixed it right up by asking for a cup of hot water to dilute the broth.Three pool tables, $1 a game with quarters. Ping pong table and foosball. Saw a family and their kids (including toddler) hang out for a few hours while I was there with my friends
Went by last night and loved the band. Went back tonight and the band was great again but the new bartender was sad. When you pour a 2 count bourbon drink, your place is doomed. This is New Orleans - your drinks have to be good or folks won’t come back - great band or not. It’s a great space and we wish you success but our drinks were lousy. Good luck.L&J
First trip to New Orleans this past weekend and had the pleasure of hanging out here. It was awesome! The vibe was great and the service was spectacular!! Can’t wait to come back again.
Food is coming soon, but this is a great place to hangout late night, especially for service industry people. Tell them Dj Snoman sent you. Karaoke most every night with the best kjs
Chad helped us pick the perfect dinner and drinks for a girls night! They’re new so though items are limited, highly recommend!
Great place for pool and karaoke! Nice pool tables with plenty of room around them with a nice mix of tourists and locals. The ping pong table is a fun one as well, watching the Hurricane fueled drunks play that was a riot🤣😂🤣The staff is great and very friendly, super helpful with recommendations about other stuff to do on our trip.
Chad was amazing ! The food was awesome. Good people ,Excellent food . And good drinks, try a green tea shot !
Went to this bar food was amazing atmosphere was fire the bartender where the food was he did his thing but when we went to the other side the bartender with the grille will try to scam you out of your money I dont mind tipping actually I tip very well but when you tell me my drinks are 46 bucks but you give me a receipt for 58 it was definitely fishy when I asked him again he acted like I was in the wrong when others heard him all Im saying is watch the guy smh
One of the first stops on my trip back home but this was definitely a night I’ll never forget! Heather our amazing bartender was great! Dennis the owner is an awesome guy and the vibe was great! Great place to hangout and have some great drinks!
Amazing and delicious food! Loved every bite!! Best host, Chad is great!
Would had been a good time if the bar tender corella devile wasn’t trying to talk my husband into going home with him. Knowing he was a married man. Chasing him outside every time he walked out the door to make a phone call. Told the woman it was our anniversary and I guess she wanted to make it extra exciting for him. We came in to have a good time, but her definition of a good time wasn’t the same as mine. She made me sick to my stomach. Not professional at all. She’s lucky she worked there because if she was just a local in for a drink I’d been in jail.
Nope.. no karaoke, and the staff are not friendly at all. They acted like they were offended when I called to ask when they have karaoke
The venue is legit. Live music every night there open. Plenty of room to cut a rug, or just chill and listen, choice is yours. Food is great, not your regular bourbon st slice of pizza. Drinks are plentiful as well...the bartenders are amazing... friendly fun and courteous..if you enjoy live bands but dont want the headache and hassle of bourbon st, definitely check it out.
Great bar, service and games. Terrible DJ
Just off of Bourbon St, this bar is spacious with plenty of seating and a bit more chill than the ruckus on Bourbon Street. We went on a Thursday and the band (John Lisi and the Delta Funk) was great! And I mean GREAT! Well definitely be back next time were in town.
Wish I could give this place zero stars. The staff is incredibly rude and condescending.
Food was ok. Like store bought ramen. Korean style from a packet. My son liked his Long Island. but, green haired bartenders signature drink was weak. Too sweet. Needed a shot of spicy rum added. It tasted like juice. We paid in advance for eggrolls and was told after that they ran out. I opted for a Long Island, since it was the same price. Bartender left without giving me my drink or saying a single word. I mentioned this to the gentleman behind the bar. He informed me that he wasn’t a bartender and would let the young lady behind the bar know. He proceeded to hang behind the bar chatting with a few ladies that walked in. The other lady behind the bar seemed to have known them also. They all chatted and she proceeded to be on her phone. The young men came out from behind the bar. I sat there waiting. Female bartender never came over to ask if we needed anything else. I walked over to tell her that we paid for item that was not available and that the other bartender was supposed to replace it with a drink. She looked up from her phone as if annoyed and said “ok.” Went back to scrolling on her phone. Mind you the young men that I spoke to earlier was scooted over outside the bar on his phone talking to her. Meanwhile, more than 20 minutes had passed. I mumbled “unbelievable!” As I walked away. The bartender proceeded to ask me with an attitude if I had a problem? I told her yes, that the other bartender was supposed to inform her of the situation before she left. She started telling me how there was an emergency with her kid and that she needed to go. As a mom I do understand that. I ran a restaurant/bar in New York. There is no way that this staff passive attitude would be tolerated. Lack of great customer service cost businesses money. I don’t know how they have five stars. She still stood there talking loud. I walked away from her. Walked to where my son was sitting and we decided to leave. Obviously we weren’t going to get what we paid for. As I was out the door snapping a picture of the place. Bartender started yelling “miss, miss don’t you want your drink?” Followed by the young men screaming “miss she’s talking to you. You forgot your drink. I ignored both of them and went on to enjoy the French quarter. The night was young! We did see the young green haired bartender walking down the busy street over an hour later. The place is spacious, clean dance floor, and nice music. Yet, it was empty. All the other places were packed as we walked around. They had about six people sitting at the bar. Including the two of us. No one was being attended to. That’s how businesses lose customers and wind up closing their doors. Why would anyone go there? There are so many other great options.
I am so thankful to discover this place during my trip! The service was amazing and the atmosphere was even better! Big shout out to Rich — he really made the experience so much fun.
This place is fantastic! Tons of space for dancing and dining, the burgers are juicy and flavorful, and the staff is super friendly. The live music is wonderful! I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Must try!
This place has the hardest working man on bourbon st. Shorti is the man holding the sign advertising this place and a true gem to have a conversation with. True testament to humanity as most people will pass him by but one of the kindest souls in NewOrleans
New club with great bands that play better music than most off the clubs on Bourbon Street, good food, and reasonable prices. This place deserves to be more popular.
If you came to this sorry excuse of a bar....you did not spend your time wisely in the french quarter
Chad is the best. Thats all.
Great music and food. Nice spacious bar with friendly bartenders. Check out Jeff Chazz when he is playing.
Fun bartender and good drink prices! Neat place right off the busy streets.
Clean, fun, the food is great. A jazz band was playing and they were awesome.
Very clean and extremely nice staff. The best part was sitting with my family enjoying the live music and food.
Amazing food and music by well known renowned artists. I’m a local and I love this place!
Staff and owner is incredible awesome place
Super friendly staff and delicious wings!
No one who lives here, and I mean no one, calls it “Nawlins”. A word we do use? “Carpetbagger“
Worst dump in new orleans. Very rude staff especially managers
This place almost seems hidden. Food and atmosphere is 🔥
Lit AF, a must see place!Even better than cafe Du Monde
Cool spot. Great drinks
The pudgy manager girl was very rude, aggressive, and unproffessional
Rude staff!!!
Jesse was a great bartender
