My husband and I were in town for the gay Easter parade, March 31, 2024. We walked in at 3 p.m. Only a handful of patrons (6) and 2 bartenders. No big deal. Stood there 25 minutes before either of them greeted us. I ordered our drinks, a gin and tonic and bud light. The tonic was flat, so I told our bartender, Riley, manager too, I believe. His reply was I changed that yesterday, it cannot be out. Ive worked on the service industry for years myself. I ask, politely, was the line bled? He asks, what do you mean? Needless to say, he didnt try to bleed the line and we left without that drink. The cost of the 2 drinks was $10 and I left a $3 tip. Now we were at its sister bar, Cafe Lafittes in Exile. Same 2 drinks were $11.50 plus a $3 tip. Much better service from Nicholas and Jason!

Pride weekend and your establishment was a disappointment big-time!! Service was slow and they both did not know what to hell they were doing. Evening time came by and still slow service and out of drinks when asked his words I don’t wanna go get it. You don’t tell customers that. Owners or management should have been there you know it’s pride and a busy weekend. Get some bartenders that wanna work not just collect.

Used to be such a great place, not even sure how they pay the rent anymore. was here in march and it was much the same,Walk in on a Saturday night at 11pm and there is 4 people inside, no music on, more excitement at a funeral, or maybe it was their funeral.Credit card only, which i don’t mind, but why would any bar not take cash??Needless to say, it was a one and done visit. Sadly I think the city and covid have taken its toll on the business. But ownership could do some minor improvements to make the atmosphere a little more inviting and desirable.Hope they get it together before they become another extinct closed gay bar.

1 am on a Thursday. No bartender to be found for a solid 15 minutes. Was unable to order a drink and left. It was pretty dead anyway (maybe 6-8 people), so not much love lost. Having someone available to make a drink is step 1 in operating a bar, unless I’m missing something.

Great bar, cheap but strong drinks, excellent bartender! Pool table was fun, even though we suck. Maybe cleanest bathroom in Qtr.

Oz is the best bartender this side of the quarter! He is kind, pleasant, keeps up with conversations, and remains professional. Music and vibe ⚜️❤️‍🔥👯 kept me here all night.

Formerly, Rawhide.. the Silver Fox was great until it wasnt - Our first stop here was great. The vibe and decor are awesome with dive elements. The first visit we had a bartender (long hair, wrestling headband) who was a highlight and very fun, he made us want to return later.Our repeat visit was soured by a different bartender (shorter guy) who had an attitude when asked simple questions. Every time I went up to get a drink I felt like I was somehow inconveniencing him at his own job. I wasnt the only one to have less than stellar service from him so someone in our party joked (among ourselves) that the service wasnt great. I guess he heard us even though we werent addressing him.. we continued to order drinks all night and have fun because we understand things sometimes take time to make or whatever and it wasnt a huge deal to us. He would go on to make passing comments as he would walk by us just sitting and talking to one another. Rude, abrasive and quite frankly inappropriate. Youre not always going to like your customers for one reason or another but we were completely fine, playing pool, having a good time. Do not come here if you want certain bartenders to make snide comments under their breath. He eventually got very angry and irrational with us, then threatened police as his coworker looked on in at him in confusion (clearly he does this a lot).. he wanted a confrontation and unfortunately it happened with our group. We decided to leave because who wants threats and hostility. I suggest better hires, some are above and beyond and others clearly are insecure and cant take a joke.If you want bartenders here to verbally berate you and threaten police because of jokes or if you also want them to wildly overcharge your card out of pettiness as well than stop on by. I suggest staying away until a new hire is addressed.

After being ignored 3 times at the front well at 8;30 in a slow bar, we left without getting anything. Very dissappointed. Friday March 29th.

Enjoyed a non communicative and extremely slow moving bar tender that seemed very unhappy to be doing his job. Won’t be back.

Went on looking for a drink I got 2 yes ago, sadly, its no longer served there... However, I did discover the best margarita Ive ever had! Highly recommend this thing little bar with the copper pole!

We had the worst experience here. In response to Michael Scotts review from the same night we were there. I dont care that Thomas is an Amazon or that he Yells amazing stories Rude is rude.I love this bar and have been going here for over 20 years under the different names. I make it a point to visit it every time Im in New Orleans. I was here with my partner for our birthday week, We sat at the bar it wasnt busy , yet we were never acknowledged and we sat there for almost 10 minutes. The bartender didnt even look up and say Hey Ill be right with you or anything for that matter.This was a real big let down , I was disappointed. We went to Good Friends and we had a great time. This whole review and interaction could have been avoided if he would have just acknowledged us.This was the worst customer service we have ever experienced in New Orleans. There are better places with better customer service to spend your money at.

Even though it was a dead night the bartender was super friendly and kept me company!

Stayed nearby a few feet away and this was my Go-to bar my entire trip. Every time I walked in I was fortunate to be served by Alex. Great drinks with friendly service with a smile. Can not wait to come back again!

Stopped in for a few drinks with friends and had an unusual experience with the bartender. In short, check your receipts and tab before paying - the bartender double charged our group then tried pocketing the cash!Ordered a round of drinks and one friend paid with his credit card. The bartender then told another member of our party to pay him in cash. Luckily we heard what was going on and asked for the cash back - the bartender took it out of his pocket and gave it back to us (and only agreed to give back $20 of the $37 - because he charged us for removing his shirt, which we never asked for (? Lol)Also, we were told we could request songs for $5 from the bartenders Spotify because the music box wasn’t working (it was working). We were the only group in the bar on a Friday night around 11pm.

Had a lot of fun here. We had a group of about 12 to 14 and they accommodated us greatly. Also to say the dancers here had better energy than at hustler further down burbon.

Went with my gf on my last day on vacation - love this place. Ell the bartender was awesome, made the best Sazerac I had the whole time I was down here. Hands down coolest bartender we had during our visit. Wish I could stay another day and go back!

Great bar! Friendly bartenders who are personable and pour a good drink. Nice mix of locals and out-of-towners. Terrific place to start your evening in the French Quarter!

Thomas, the bartender was friendly and poured a good espresso martini. The place was quiet on a Wednesday afternoon but it was the day after carnival.

Cute bar - usually not very busy. Good cocktail prices. Definitely a place to check out!

Bring friends and have fun! Everyone is there to have a good time. I met someone from Belize and a local. My group went on Thursday and Saturday night. Night is busy which is the fun time. Saturday there was a d.j. The only thing missing is a dance floor. I didnt care tho, I danced like a lunatic in the corner by myself, after a few drinks of course. ;)

Not what it used to be but Great staff, relaxed atmosphere. Sunday karaoke is a cool chill spot.

Overrated, definitely. A $20 cover just to breathe the air in this place is extreme extortion. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I had an amazing time at the Silver Fox. The drinks, atmosphere and bartenders were just great. I would totally recommend this place to a friend.

Good spot for quick cocktails and drinks. No food. Small spot that feels homely with nice bartenders and cheap drinks.

Great bar if Thomas the Tank is bartending - if not get another bar. (It’s not NYC, it’s not his fault the drinks are weak.) Thomas is open to song requests.

My Dad and I stumbled upon this place during the day and Im so glad we did. Such an amazing staff. The drinks were tasty and the vibes were great!

Disappointing. First- cover charge. Why? I could understand if the drinks were strong or if there was a lot of hot acton going on, but... neither. No dancers, no studs, and weak drinks. Porn on the screen? Sure but it was like two 30 TV monitors so far up in the corners that they might have been invisible. I wont waste my time and money here again.

This is exactly what you came looking for. The staff serves the drinks with a smile and the music is always great. However, its what happens outside of all that which brings you here. No pictures are allowed, so youre welcome!

Very unattractive bartender sold me a can of white claw for 15 dollars and was rude and then made a comment about me tipping only a dollar. He overcharged me on purpose. Stay far away!

Extremely Rude!!! Just getting through the door, horrible unfriendly attitudes! Force money out of your pockets door cover charge, plus must purchase alcohol or your asked to leave without a refund on door cover charge!Bar was basically empty!!Don’t waste you time!!!So SAD!!

Must-go place every time I visit New Orleans. On quiet moments, the bartenders are friendly as are the patrons. When busy, the place is wild.

Pre Katrina remembrances especially during Southern Décadence were truly, full blown epic. I hear, like almost everywhere in the U.S., things after the early 2000s have unfortunately simmered down even in Nouvelle Orléans.Its kind of like the 1950s all over again. So 5 stars for all the good times that I will keep in my heart til I die. Laissez les bons temps rouler tousjour.

Terrible customer service. There are tons of better bars in New Orleans. This one was just awful.

Its a joint, you can get average priced drinks here, wouldnt recommend for a party though unless the bar was hosting it

Love this place. Been a while since Ive been back to NOLA. Just tried calling at 1230pm NY time and no answer at Rawhide. Thought theyd be open. Was just seeing how theyre doing after the storms.

Door guy wouldnt let me in because I had a bag. Im a diabetic a need to carry my supplies around. Had an ok time the previous days I went (with my bag) when there was no cover. Went to Phoenix instead, no cover and cheaper drinks, lots of fun.

Friendly bartenders, strong drinks! Wish it were still more cruisey as in the past -- hopefully one day the laws will be less prudish.

Its no longer a leather bar its dead as a door nail- they keep the door closed take you $5 and you go in and its a fu--ing dance club!!!!seriously bad behavior from the club !!!!!!!!Dont go there its a joke...Go to the phoenix still a leather bar....

You have to really be about that life when you come into this bar, its not for the faint of heart. You may have to pay cover and be ready for the full force of the leather community.
