Came here for a retirement party. It was fantastic. The staff were friendly and fun. One of the food servers was so friendly and funny and just having a good time. Will the bartender did a wonderful job making fantastic drinks. I definitely will be coming back
I have to say after reading some of the reviews I wasnt sure what to expect. I was happy to find that Republic NOLA was a really cool, interesting and comfortable place. This was my first time here to see The Hu. I brought my sons for my youngest 21st birthday!!! And it was a success!! He thoroughly enjoyed the concert and the venue. I happy to say I wasnt the oldest there!!! Republic NOLA really has industrial feel in its decor!! The employees were friendly and helpful. Thanks to Jacob for helping an old girl out to make sure the evening went well for my son!!There is only 1 thing that should be addressed and its the VIP area. I have no problem with the price if it allowed everyone an opportunity to be able to see the performance. Basically its a General Admittance for the balcony. I had hoped by paying for VIP it meant a better chance of seeing the performance...not only easier bar and bathroom access.
Had a great time, we got to be back up dancers for Vanilla Ice , during a private show at the Republic. Stage crew was a little short so we helped out. It was a blast being on stage with Vanilla ice. Me and my crew did a good job firing up the crowd and dancing with the audience. The venue was smaller than i thought, but it looked packed from the stage, thanks for everything, the best part was hanging out back stage with the Ice Man
Bass Church at Arora Nola was great! The sound system was great and the DJs turned the place out. Only complaint was excessive use of fog machine. Though the venue is no smoking, we were constantly having to go outside and gulp down fresh air
One of the first clubs I went to in New Orleans about 7 years ago. I went recently (before the shooting) and they were lacking a lot. The first obviously being security, theyre very inattentive and all seemed to be pretty inebriated. Secondly, the sound quality was terrible. I dont know if they even have someone operating the sound booth, but if so, their sound person is even more messed up than the security, 0/10 on sound, I dont know why they wouldnt be able to afford that. Last thing would be drinks, in no world should a High Life be $4.50. Republic seems really poorly managed and like the ownership doesnt know how to make money or manage finances. Very odd.
Republic lost my credit card. Called them 5x explaining that I left my tab open. I called my bank and there was no charge on it so clearly they didn’t swipe it. All they said was “we close out all cards even the ones left behind. We don’t have yours.” Okay. So what? Capital One Bank is lying to me about my charges? At least they didn’t run it and then lose it. Guess we’re even, Republic. I owe you $50 and you owe me my credit card back. Also everyone in the office is rude. My advice to anyone who goes is to never leave your tab open. One of their bartenders will accidentally lose it and then you’ll be forced the spend your whole day trying to explain how bank statements work to the people in the office.
Here for a private event. Food was first class, employees very helpful and friendly. Great venue!
Not a bad venue at all. I’ve been here for a concert and Shrek Rave. Both experiences were similar; overwhelmed bartenders but the service wasn’t too bad. Nice guys at the door, but the ladies were pretty rude; sometimes the price you pay when you’re fabulous. The bathrooms were clean too, allIn all I’d come again.
When we came to New Orleans we were expecting a party like this. Of course, Bourbon st was fine, it had the endless entertainment vibe and all.But nevertheless felt like a touristic attraction, instead the republic had this everyone does their own thing sense. So yeah, the sound was incredibly good, the music was intense, and the drinks were good too. Thank you Republic.
If no one is using the roped off areas during a show.... Open it up to the other patrons. Otherwise fun venue!
Pretty good venue not a long wait for drinks. I would go see more shows here.
Great venue! The house lights and video wall were operated by an expert at keeping the vibe right. They had a huge line-array sound system but it never felt too loud or overbearing.
Attended for Essence After Dark. Standing room with a few VIP tables. Supposed to start letting people in at 10pm. Didnt get in until almost 11pm. I assumed artist didnt show until almost 12am. At least thats when I saw Spice walk in. Very long night for standing and very crowded. Yes, they started at 11:59 PM. Tickets were $81 with fee. Venue was nice setup and clean bathrooms. Just was not into the long stand or wait. Glad I didnt pay for VIP because they were seated behind the standing crowd.
This place will run false entries on your tab and refuse a refund. The staff at this place is beyond incompetent. On an extremely low turnout night (maybe 20 people near the bar and 50 in the building) I opened a tab with the upstairs bartender who was serving maybe 6 ppl the entire night. I tried to close my tab and was charged for several drinks I did not order. Of course by the time I am presented a reciept my card had already been charged. After the bartender acknowledged the error, it took 20 minutes before a manager came to the resolution to have me just dispute the charge with my bank rather than issue a cash refund. This is fraud. Save yourself the time, effort, and theft and avoid doing business here.
Venue is beautiful and we had lots of fun. However, I can’t get over how when I asked for my bill at the end how expensive it was. When I asked for the itemized receipt, it turns out they included a 20% gratuity that wasn’t shown on the original receipt they were going to have me sign. Just be aware that they already include tip in the receipt without telling you. I always tip 20% but it feels like a scam not to tell you that it’s already included on receipt.
Box office closed early. Show couldve been sold out but there was no signage indicating that.
They need a special entrance for guest list and promotional tickets. A 250ft line is excessive for an adult. The general admission kids expect to wait but friend and family of the band should be allowed in a bit early. Staff does a good job of managing large crowds. Plenty of space downstairs and in VIP. The bars are very well staffed, barely wait for a drink. Good venue for watching smaller bands and DJs. Also a great spot for shooting music videos.
The bouncers at this place need to be investigated ASAP. Witnessed multiple women being verbally and physically assaulted once a show ended, and threatened myself and many others that everyone needed to get the hell out. I’ve never experienced this before at any club or venue, it was not exclusive to one bouncer or patron. There was no fighting or rowdiness, as this was at a Beabadoobie concert on 10/22. (listen to one song and picture a problematic crowd situation at a venue.)I’ve been to Republic many times in the past, but it has been at least 4 years since being here for an event. I want to be clear that I understand the business behind running a venue like this, and the need for assertiveness from bouncers when dealing with large amounts of people. I am not exaggerating when I say that they made many people fearful for their safety, and it’s almost like they got off on the power trip. When a 5’1 girl is shoved to the ground because she’s not moving to the exit quick enough, that’s a sign for the management to wake the hell up and change something in their bouncer staff. On a positive note, the silver lining is that all of the other staff were great, and both helpful and friendly (ticketing, bartenders, VIP staff, etc.) so there is hope for the way this venue could be ran.But matter how much you may like an artist, it is sadly not worth it if they’re playing here. Avoid at all costs.
The overall facility is very nice, great place for live music. Only problem was they overcharged on a bar bill. It was a bit of a hassle to get our money back. Most likely an innocent error but thought I would mention here in case others have experienced the same.
Doors open at 10pm but at 11 we were still waiting to get in. I thought staff was disorganised and didn’t really care that the patrons were standing outside in the heat next to all the trash cans. It was awful, smelly and hot. We ended up leaving before we could go in.
Refuses speak to me because my wedding isnt until 2025. Called for over two weeks trying to get in contact with Jessica or whoever is in charge of events; and then I was told from her assistant that she wont talk to me because my event/wedding isnt till then. Horrible customer service. All I was inquiring about was general pricing. How dare they treat someone like that.
This place is a great club located in the warehouse district. I went there for a private event-- my sons engagement party. The bartenders were knowledgeable and knew exactly what they were doing. They made some mean drinks. The food was outstanding. The setup for the party was breathtaking. The dance floor is huge with plenty of space for everyone. All the staff were on point with their service and their attitudes. I would give then 10 stars if there was a way to do so.
Nice when they aren’t over selling tickets. They need to replace their sound system. Very distorted. Not terrible when they’re at about 50% capacity. They will say an event is sold out online but sell as many tickets as they can at the door. When it’s full, it’s over full. Then the sound quality is sooooo drowned out you can’t hear anything. It’s very sad because this is one of the only places in the area that books electronic music and every time they book a major dj, the sound sucks 😒. Would easily change this review if the sound quality issue was corrected.
An amazing venue that has been around for years! Showcasing some of the biggest and best talents from far away and locally. We went recently to see Beabadoobee and were also introduced to a great opening act named Lowrtown. There are two levels, with intimate access on the ground level, and great overhead views for unique shots. They also have more than one exit which my friend reminded me is always good to consider and know. Ive gone a few times now and thankfully the staff and crew always work to keep things safe, which can be hard for the rave days Im sure. But the artist are always very eclectic going from edm, to rap, to alternative, to whimsical all in the span of a few days. Definitely a recommendation for a popular local place.
Great food. One of the best meatball sandwiches I have ever had. Our server, Drew, was fantastic!
Have been to the republic numerous time amd have had a great time. Went to a show on 2/25/23 and opened a tab for some drinks and forgot to get my card back. Check my email and bank account next day and $500 in Ulta beauty card was purchased off my card. Seeing as the bartender were the ones holding my card one could only assume a bartender stole money from my card. This was the bar on the bottle left when you walk into the venue. Republic needs to evaluate their staff and find out who is stealing from customers cause this isnt probably the only incident.
Its a good hotel for a good price. Definitely in it. An old hotel thats been heavily remodeled. The bartender of public service was great!
The staff here is honestly amazing. They keep an eye out for everyone. Some guy had brought me water cause he seen how hot I was. He made sure I was okay and safe. The staff here is really good people, truly. Thankyou Republic NOLA, we will definitely be back.
Parking is incredibly difficult so arrive early or use public transportation. But the venue itself is very cool! The two stories give you lots of great accessible views and there are bars on both levels so no need to go too far out of your way for a drink.
Great venue to see a show. Staff were welcoming and courteous.
I had never heard of Republic NOLA until recently when I attended a Christmas Party here. The space is really cute and a decent size, not large but not too small either. I spent most of my time in the balcony area and appreciated the view a lot more than on the first floor. It was spacious and there was a dedicated bar upstairs as well. I tried one of their Christmas themed drinks and unfortunately was not a fan of it. The music was a mixture of a band and a DJ. The DJ was okay, but I felt the music could have been slightly better. Overall, I think Republic NOLA would be a great choice for an event.
WOW.... thought I would review this place after the Tab Benoit and Samantha Fish show Saturday the 27th of April....Great place to see a show!! Our venue was standing room only but we got there around 7pm grabbed a drink from the bar next door and went to stand in line. We were around 20 deep at that time. Once we were allowed in we took a spot on the railing on the second floor. Great vantage point and there is a bar 20 feet behind ya.....they did have vip seats off to the sides but in my opinion they are not worth it.....great show And thanks to the management for helping me find a parking spot for the bike!!! Will definitely visit again!!
Dope venue! Great sound and production. We threw an awesome after party for tipper here and was great. Staff is friendly and very good and what they do. Bar staff was a lot of fun! Go here for shows! You wont be disappointed!
You have to get to The Venue early before the doors open in order to be able to see the show. The drinks are outrageously expensive Some Nights. I was charged $33 for a double whiskey rocks and a bottle of water. Thats before the tip.
I love EDM and expected great things from this venue considering Alison Wonderland would be playing at it, but I had nothing but a horrible experience coming here. After waiting in a long line, they let us in, but forgot to give me and my friend the show wristband (they gave us a green one which was apparently for being 21, but never explained the difference either). We asked a worker, and they said we could re-enter if we had already been in, so we went outside to smoke. The guards wouldnt let us back in right away though, because we apparently didnt have the show wristband that THEY FORGOT TO GIVE US. Despite offering to show them our QR codes and explaining how it was their mistake, they made us go to the VERY BACK of the line, which ended up wasting an hour of our time. We missed Shygirls set waiting to be let back in, which was very frustrating because we really wanted to see her. After getting back in, it was packed as it was clearly oversold. Im talking not even enough room to dance. I did end up getting close to Alison after a while, but it took carefully-planned shimmying for 30 minutes to do so.Oh, and the craziest thing about this venue? You literally have to pay for the privilege to sit down. There are no chairs at any of the downstairs bars or outer areas of the inside of the venue, because apparently $50 doesnt cover the LUXURY OF SITTING. People that tried to sit on the floor by the walls were forced to stand, despite having partied all day at a festival, and with the event at Republic NOLA lasting until 5 AM. So if you needed a break after dancing for a few hours at a Republic NOLA event, youd have nowhere to sit and catch your breath. This really surprised me as a raver, because literally any other EDM event Ive ever been to has had at least SOMEWHERE to sit. And Ive been to clubs in multiple cities of all sizes. Im talking huge arenas and festivals as well as average nightclubs to even underground events. Like youd think theyd want to shield themselves from lawsuits of people overheating or passing out from exhaustion, etc. but apparently not. Republic NOLA is the only place thats ever had the audacity to charge VIP for the luxury of sitting. Which is funny considering how disappointing of a venue it is.Like theres no cool lasers, or high-tech visual screens youd expect from a place hosting a premier EDM event. Nothing cool on the walls to stare at while raving, nothing to bring the vibe together. Maybe Im spoiled here in Atlanta, because even the most bare-bones Raves surpass the set-up exhibited here. But wow. It honestly impressed me with how little the venue seemed to care about the event it was hosting. No effort put in whatsoever. Im glad I got to see Alison, cause she did her thing. But this venue did not. If I could give them 0 stars I would, they were the only negative experience I had in New Orleans while visiting, and thats saying something because I stayed in New Orleans East during my trip. New Orleans is an amazing city and doesnt deserve the shame of hosting such a terrible venue
Great venue, setup, dj’s, etc..EXCEPT: the sound system is definitely fried. Either the speakers were being overdriven or were blown at some point, but definitely really hurt the experience for us. I hope they fix it soon because we’d love to come back and see more artists.
I really love the place, and I remember when it was under a different name and management. For normal nights Im sure its fine for very young people who like to wait in a stantioned line as though they are at an exclusive night club...And they may very well be at one. I dont know because I dont like those kinds of places. But dont let that deter you from attending a private event or anything else here. It is beautiful inside, reminiscent of Tips Uptown.
When are they going to book actual artists? I don’t want to see emo night or taylor swift night or whatever washed out artist night for the millionth time!
Reviewing as a wedding venue:I don’t even know where to start - Jessica and the team at Republic were amazing!! We had our ceremony upstairs, with the reception downstairs - along with a Second Line. Jessica + team helped everything run super smooth. The venue is such a departure from a standard wedding venue, which is exactly what we were looking for!We were planning our wedding from California - so we weren’t able to meet the team or see the venue before booking (which is very nerve-wracking, but it completely worked out). We opted for the candle package (highly, highly recommend) and the string light package. From last minute changes (adding pedicabs for some people during the Second Line, the day of…) to all of the early planning, it was all taken care of with a smile! We had Jessica help secure the Second Line band (including police escort, permitting, etc), photobooth, catering, linens and decorations. We couldn’t be happier with the way everything looked and the day of flowed. One thing to note, the special events team is in charge of many, many things that take place at Republic - each event is a priority to them - so as the time gets closer to your event, the communication will increase. All of our friends and family made it a point to let us know that the venue was beautiful and what a fun wedding it was! Cannot recommend this venue and team behind it, enough!
Great standing venue with plenty of space. Bar staff were helpful and mindful of guests conditions. I witnessed them assisting another concert goer in distress. Restrooms were under-maintained but not vile.
I was assaulted at the bar and instead of helping me the bouncers helped beat me up. Drinks are way too expensive (doubles are like $20). The bouncers took my money and gift cards out of my wallet before returning it. This place needs to be shut down.
Always something going on here! Very diverse programming from emo, gay, techno, hip hop...find your night!! The staff is always super friendly and the drink prices are decent. They also rent out for private events; weddings, birthdays, corporate, and more! Jessica, the coordinator of said events is AMAZING!!!!! Shes a true gem and you couldnt ask for a more hospitable person to make sure your event goes off without a hitch.
FOREVER HOME❤️ Will ALWAYS recommend events at this venue! The atmosphere is phenomenal & the security guards are always making sure its a safe environment! I cant wait to have my wedding reception here, the place where I have seen PLENTY of my favorite music artist perform!! 10/10 you better go to RepublicNOLA or you missing out
Ive got to say that this place has given me great core memories that Im so thankful for!! Also Ive got to point out that Baylee is the best!!!! And shell always take care of yah!!
Went to a couple events there and it seems like the staff just does not want to work. Events that are promoted as “all night” events always end early. It seems like you pay a lot of money to see a show you are really interested in and the venue ruins it.
Highly recommend Republic NOLA for your corporate event needs. Jessica and her staff are exceptional! They brought me fresh ideas and the partners needed to completely transform the space. Additionally, the venue has all the things event planners look for in a space - upgraded A/V, great layout, bar flow, and reasonable pricing. I would work with them again in a heartbeat!
We rented this venue for a work reception and we were extremely impressed! Great staff, beautiful & unique venue, and wonderful food that was catered in. We even were referred to a great list of jazz bands to have at our reception. Jessica and Taylor were great to work with. I would highly recommend this place!!
Music is usually good.. it’s a very dangerous place though. Last two times something bad has happened. my boyfriend was thrown up on by someone who should have already been kicked out who was falling over drunk/high. Then my other friend was drugged last time we went. And every time I tell this story to friends someone always has a similar one. Be safe out there!!!
This venue sucks the layout they have make it very hard to see if youre not in the front. Also it looks like they over sell the place so its so crowded you cant even move. The majority of people that come here are young kids that just want to push you and block you if you want to move up front. Drinks were thrown all over and kids want to start fights. I will never come here again and I would definitely not recommend it.
I love this place so much. Great shows and drinks arent too expensive. They get a lot of really good headliners and with an awesome crew behind the scenes it makes it even better. BASSIK is def my favorite time to go there so if you do go i recommend the bass shows :)
They over charge for drinks because they assume no one checks the bill. 3 beers and charged the card 60$ and I complained... the women next to me was screaming about the same thing. found out this morning they charged my dads friend 150 for 4 gin and tonics. This is fraud and I will be compiling to the FTC.
The place itself is beautiful and the employees are great, but... I was there for a concert last night and I couldnt find any open space to see the performers! The Republic is basically a standing room only venue and had we known this ahead of time then we probably wouldnt have even went. There were several open Private Party set aside for those who could afford a $500 upgrade that never had anyone sitting at them. I would have thought that after the concert started and no one had paid for them that they would open them up for more viewing possibilities for those of us who didnt get to be at the railing upstairs, but they kept it closed off. There were several other patrons who had worse issues than I did. Im able to stand for long periods of time and I was able to move closer and snap a few pictures (not good ones though) but I had to bother others just for those opportunities. Others werent that lucky. I wont be going back there again for a performance but if you choose to go be prepared not to be able to see the show
Fun live music venue not a huge place so it does get cramped but that is the markings of a popular place, Vip section up top is a great way to avoid a crowd with a few cozy couches as well
They get amazing acts and shows. So their booker is on point. Even the layout, while not perfect, is not horrendous. But there is just something about this place. The vibe is terrible. The crowd is usually terrible. And I really hate having to see shows here but somehow end up here at least 10 times a year. 20 even.
Wish I could give this place 0 stars. I recently went to the Rae Sremmurd concert. Doors were to open at 11:00 pm but we waited in line for 2 HOURS! not to mention we had VIP Balcony tickets. This place was so unorganized. How is it that I get VIP tickets and have such a bad view. I would have rather bought general admission tickets and been done with it. It took us 2 hours to get into the concert and almost an hour to get out. 1,000 people fighting to get out of the one tiny door! Ridiculous. I would have left if I hadnt traveled so far to attend, The performers were great but I will never attend anything at this venue again. Please do not waste your time going here.
Me and a few friends went to see Seven Lions in concert here and it was really fun! The before and after show was so amazing. I don’t really follow many EDM artists, but this experience made me want to start searching lol. Most of the bartenders were super nice. Unfortunately, I did try to get the attention of a lady who was behind the bar, but she wasn’t happy with the fact that I was in search of water instead of an overpriced cocktail. After calling her from the front of the bar multiple times, while witnessing her make drinks, I touched her hand to get her attention and she yelled, “I’m not a bar tender.” Which was confusing, but hey! Maybe she’s only a bar tender if the drinks she makes are labelled “tip me”. On the bright side, the rest of the staff members were extremely nice and helped me find my lost friend 52 times without a single complaint. 100% looking forward to the next show.
Location was beautiful! I dont know of it is because i am getting old, but i would have sold my left leg for a seat. I stood in line outside for an hour, then stood inside for an hour before the show started, than stood for 3 more hours for the show. The main show was great!!! The DJ who played for an hour before the Emo Nite DJ came on was not good. We were there to get ready for emo show, but he was playing a bunch of rap or something (???) It felt like he did not know his crowd. The bars looked clean and the staff was nice and professional the whole time. I thought it was funny when the security looking guys stood around the stage and looked as if there wasnt a show going on at all, they were so calm and peaceful.
Very disappointed with this venue. I dont think I will be returning. I bought balcony VIP tickets, which the only perk was not waiting in the line to get in. I was unaware that there would be a VIP within a VIP section. There are are no chairs in the VIP section unless you are willing to pay $400+ for the exclusive booth seating. If you do not arrive early, you will not be able to to see the artist down below. The VIP section is designed for 20 people to view the show. The floors are also hard and sticky. Be prepared to stand cramped for a few hours while you stare at the back of someones head. And honestly, the VIP sections arent much better. I heard one of the guys in VIP become irate and exclaim that he couldnt see s***! Its a bad angle, especially from the left side of the VIP section facing the stage.Terrible design and waaaaay smaller than the online pictures would have you to believe. I wish I could rate 0 stars.
Great small venue for popular artists. Drinks are expensive, plenty of bathrooms, and pretty safe. Theres an upper balcony and VIP tables for people that are really into it. Saw an EDM show there and it was awesome!
Lots of good talent comes through this spot. The drinks are HIGH!!!! Not a foot place to go on a budget. They also pack the shows out and the dancefloor is TINY so it gets super crowded. Stays open Hella late.
Clean establishment and staff was very nice despite their lack of knowledge. Went for a concert and was very disappointed. Opening act of high schoolers played for what seemed like three hours. When the main performer finally came on it was 1a when the doors opened at 7p and show started at 8p. I would have been fine with the main performance starting at 1a, had I known when I showed up that it was going to start then. On the tickets it listed no other acts so I assumed he would be on within two hours of door opening. To add the cherry on top, the performer pretty much was his own hype man. I know that the Republic can’t control the quality of bands, but you could let your clientele know when the main opener will be coming on.
The bartenders were visibly drunk and taking multiple shots and HANDED MY CARD TO THE PERSON NEXT TO ME AND CHARGED MY CARD FOR THEIR TAB. When I confronted the bartender he said he would have me escorted out for my attitude when he was the one who messed up.
Good venue, but if youre short like me, 51 ft, its hard to find a place to see the stage. The upstairs was cool but for some reason had curtains blocking the view of the stage?
You can only consume drinks at the bar so those of us who are underage is impossible to get drinks from other people. Make sure you pre game before entering. Other than that, its great because theres re-entry. The venue is not great, though. The music is not very diverse. Its only local artists, trap and bounce music. I want to see house music; good house music. A house DJ should be there every weekend when there isnt a good artist. Thats a change that would attract a lot of people I think because sometimes the place is rather empty.
I was there for the Raw art show, and when it was time for me to leave I closed out my bar tab, when I was handed the receipt I was given a different bank card but the correct receipt with my name on it. However when I got home I find that I was charged 3x more than what was originally on my bar tab. Its a little frustrating seeing as I had 3 beers and there really wasnt a lot of people using the upstairs bar and somehow I paid for someone elses drinks, I brought this up to the bartender when it happened and was assured that it was taken care of immediately. However it wasnt, now I get the joy of calling them the next day to explain to them they screwed up. Anyways the place is ok and the bar staff was very polite considering circumstances. Great place for the hipster crowd.
Venue was kept relatively cool, no major violence or unruly messy bs, security wasnt over the top, VIP was comfortable with excellent service and the night was very pleasant, sound quality was also excellent
Went to see Betty Who last night. Had a great view even though we were further towards the back. I was sooo excited that a cup of water was free. Other venues are so rude about it. Im sure Ill be back
If youre here for the music, the sound is great. On the downside, the drinks were pricey, and the bartenders were rude. The floor is concrete, and theres no where to sit, so a couple of hours in, and my feet were killing me.
Most personal small venue to see great live music of any sort. Love the staff and i reserved sections regularly. Big Names to The Best Locals it the Best!!!
Dope music venue, bartenders were great, I love the people. Its a family and good vibes, you got to check it for yourself!
Horrible place to try and see a show. If your not right up against stage or upper rail you can not see the artist. Terrible video screens try and show the acts. Venue should at least have better quality cameras and screens for patrons that can not afford to buy VIP sections that they so selfishly promote.
As the sponsors of the Collision Night Summit, we (Kradle Software) had the absolute pleasure of hosting our event at Republic NOLA. Jess and her team were instrumental in making it a huge success and we are all very grateful. The venue is simply gorgeous and the recommendation of the band New Thousand was epically good!
Hosted a very well organised night featuring G-Eazy on Halloween 2019. Great entertainment for a good price (c.$30 cover for third release tickets). Could improve selection of mixers.
Worst music venue ever. paid full price for a concert ticket. Watched the bouncers physically assault patrons and not let people in. Did not feel safe and left.
Saw so many awesome shows here. Its great for intimate shows due to it being a smaller space. You have a good view of the stage no matter where you are standing.
Great ambiance, great staff. They know music and make great experiences. Get there early for big shows, only bad spots in the house are behind the wooden beams, and you can get stuck behind them if you get there late.
Im from Ms , so I drove an hour to the venue last night to see 8 ball and MJG with pre purchased tickets. The doors opened at 10:30 we were in line around 10:40 , there were two huge lines on either side with the entrance in the middle , they were letting 5 people in at a time. There werent any security guards outside to control the line or to even assist the LARGE crowd to form a line , people would just walk up and jump in the line , people began yelling and pushing and the people at the door began arguing with people in the crowd ,they closed the entrance doors to the club several times in hopes that the crowd would form a line, often threatened to cancel the show ,we stood there for an hour and a half then finally left ,in that time the line never moved , the venue is very unorganized, unprofessional, and I would never go back I really feared for my life because they did not have the crowd under control and I would like a refund for the tickets I did not use very disappointing
Me and my sister plus friend was just trying find a club in new orleans we see this one i hear three days grace from outside and im intrigued and interested because i never heard a club where im from playing three days grace so we pay to go in my sister and friend wasnt ready but i was in my element its a edm/metal club scene there was mosh pits etc all which i been apart of before it was the most amazing experience i had emo girls twerking on me,we twerking together dancing and having a great time screaming on top of our lungs my friends got into it eventually and was screaming on top of their lungs too and jumping too it was the most peace i seen in a club no fighting just everyone enjoying themselves its a experience i will never forget they made sure we got the new orleans welcome i will surely visit again when i travel ti new orleans again
So one of the places I go to a lot. Lately theyve updated the items not allowed in. (Lighters etc.) Its always a huge hold up and a bunch of trips to the car maybe try a prohibited items sign. My only issue
Pay to sit down anywhere! Especially when I pay extra for V.I.P and you still want extra to have a seat? Ridiculous.2 years ago it was great....now, Its jus b.s. No one respects this establishments management and your reputation in the community has become a joke. The only reason anyone puts up with this and your shyt attitude bartenders is the headliners.
Sound was great, space was great, security reacted quickly...Mannie, Juvenile, Choppa, and Turk were OFF THE CHAIN!!!! The only complaint I have is how long we had to wait in a line which wasnt THAT long. Thank you, NOLA💯💯💯
Bought 2 VIP balcony tickets to the Rae Sremmurd show last night. Got in line at 10:20 because doors were supposed to open at 11. Didnt get inside till 1 am and missed most ofthe show because they let 500 people skip the line. Venue should never be book again by any promoter with dignity.
Super cool venue! Was my first time visiting and I hope more bands I want to see play there so I can go back. Worth the 3 hour trip.
Came in town from Memphis to see 12th planet. I was having an amazing time here until I realized I dropped my wallet somewhere . A girl saw that I was looking for it and told me she turned it in to the vip bouncer and everything was in it. Thankful she did the right thing by giving it to your staff I instantly went and asked the vip bouncer if he had it... This guy told me the first time he gave it to the one of the servers and told me to wait till later to get it. I said okay.., but then I wanted to buy a drink so I went and asked him to get it for me now . Then he made another excuse saying he left it on bar... WHO THE HELL JUST LEAVES A WALLET ON THE BAR!!! Then I tried to look around the bar he said he left it then magically he found it NEXT TO HIM UNDER THE STAIRS. Then I opened It and $200 was missing out of it. Basically that’s when I knew the bouncer stole my money cause why was it such a struggle to get it back from him. I had no money to get back home and I’ve never cried so much in my life cause of this guy. He is a white guy with gauges in his ears and skinny. I hope this guy gets fired cause I’ve never felt so hurt in my life. I’ve never gotten anything stolen from me especially from someone who works at a club.
$20 minimum for credit cards is obscene
This music venue has some great bands, but they overcharge for evertyhing and you have to buy a VIP ticket which gives you access to the balcany for nearly double the price if you want to have anywhere to sit throughout the night.
My friends & I were able to get in fine. Cant say the same with the people that were suppose to meet us there. Pretty sure the bouncers are a little racist >.< I still had a good time!
Literally, the music shows here changed my life when it comes to helping me break out of my comfort zone. Ive made some fire memories here under these lights. Love you guys!
I left almost immediately after I walked to the bar. Who knew bartenders could be so rude and unsanitary. I am never at bars so I wouldnt know the etiquette...
Place always host some of the best artists. The venue is old but has been renovated. I just wish they could do something with the restrooms..
It gives me same vibes as going HOB (House of Blues), but with a more grown-up & sensual atmosphere. 10/10 would go to again for another concert.
Good venue, went there with one of our acts. I liked the venue, I wouldnt know how it was from the front of the house but everyone back of the house was very professional and on point.
I always have a good time here good. Good vibes, great dance floor and ok drinks. Please learn how pour an amorette pineapple without all that sour.
I mean, its the Republic. I cant imagine many people find themselves there by accident. Ive seen plenty of metal and EDM shows there and never had an issue. 10000 times better than the metropolitan in terms of floor plan and overall vibes.
This is the worst venue I’ve ever been to. I’m visiting from out of state and I’ve nevvvver seen so many people crammed into one space ever. I’m an advide concert goer and this was disgusting.
Danny Donato D George Porter Jr
Terrible venue. Very rude bouncers. Irresponsible live show practices. Still charging for water even though lots of kids openly and obviously using drugs at an EDM show.
Liked the venue it was spacious and clean bathrooms were real clean very surprisingly drinks were very overpriced I paid $123 for 2 vip tickets and get to the VIP and pay $12 for not even a small Rum Punch & a bud light horrible the event I went to security seemed to do as they please definitely needs a new security contract with a new company no one is going to come somewhere they are told it is not safe
Been going here for many years. Consistent great shows and great service
Pretty good music venue, but can get very crowded and then not enough bartenders who are not exactly in a hurry to serve. Not their fault of course.
One of the worst venues in Nola. Sight lines are terrible and sound is garbage upstairs. Stay away if it’s a sold out show
GO HERE FOR YOURSELF, you wont be disappointed, and you deserve to have a great night. Also you can do party reservations for all occasion the setting sets the mood.
Great experience. Respectful, helpful, and professional staff. Enjoyed my first time out
Younger crowd, definitely check out the artists online before deciding to go, fun times though!pass on VIP the lower level is where the energy is at
Great place to catch Djs in concert with your friends. Great staff. Decent price drinks and good company.
Very nice venue even though it is rather small. The bathrooms were flooded during my visit but I believe that was a problem with the city, not the venue.
Sirvice is sub par, table services are an atrocity, poor communication within staff led us to have major delays in the delivery of our bottles and mixer... also the club seems to have an identity issue, it cant distinguishe what its playing the night of events... they draw a crowd for one type of music and play another
Cool warehouse venue, but compact, so get a spot on the railing upstairs if you want a good stage view.
Recently attended an event here there were way to many people very uncomfortable drink were pretty good tho.
Was a nice venue a little small. But nice they gave us cups of water for free so that was cool.
One of the consistently best venues in New Orleans. Great staff, great shows, great venue. Always highly recommended.
A must go to venue for any concert or gathering. Best bartenders in the city too!
Has a good time at The Hu concert. Its easy to get a drink fast even with a big crowd!!
Fun themed nights. Good djs most nights. Fun atmosphere. Youthful crowd but not too young.
Awesome old warehouse converted into a bar/ concert venue. Friendly staff, younger crowd, good music
Space was nice no seating unless you did bottle service so for a person with a handicap like myself thus was extremely hard.
Amazing experience every single time, definitely top tier venue, i love it
Jessica and her entire staff were beyond amazing, and were so responsive to our requests. Strong Yes from Tulane School of Medicine.
Republic NOLA is great but for the emo night they were playing music that was not emo. I would suggest getting new DJs for the next emo night.
Nice venue. Good atmosphere. Dance Gavin Dance show was mind-blowing here.
Very nice venue to catch a show or dance to a dj. Drinks are good and moderately priced.
Bought v.i.p tickets thinking that it get there and there a v.i.p section that is $400 when I thought the tickets I got was that just only to go upstairs couldnt see the show because to many people was upstairs
Very intimate venue that stays booked with great talent. Lack of seating was the only issue.
My daughter and I come to this venue quite often to see smaller local bands. It is a great smaller venue.
I love emo nite and the raves they have here are so sick
It is a great place to.go party with friends! Great vibes and drinks were perfect!
Love the venue. It makes it more of an intimate atmosphere.
A time was had! This place had the best bartenders.
Great place for Astronomy on Tap!
Ive had alot of great memories here live the live music kinda pricey
Trendy night club. Shows are kinda expensive if you wait to get tickets at the door. Drinks are pricy.
I see a lot of different EDM artists there and Ive never had a bad experience
Very cool look and location. Bring your wallet. Not worth the money IMO. Walk a block and get much better prices and service
Music choice was great. Bar tenders are excellent and drinks arent expensive at all.
Drinks were good once we received them but the service at the bar was really slow.
After beating a tbi loosing my big daddy my bubba roo (bestfriend)this bad boy makes me want to go to buku ✊🏽
Nice venue just hellatious lines and only 1 exit thats tiny. Id go back for sure.
One of the top three venues that I like to go party at Republic Club Metro and the House of Blues
Love the fun atmosphere of this place. I feel safe and I have always had a good time!
Great club for edm shows. Fast friendly staff
Great place to bisit especially for a corporate event. Wonderful way to experience all things Nola
Great place to throw a wedding party just make sure you have a good live band
Must Die/Laxx/Skism KILLED it. Good vibes, great crowd, didnt get overheated like at other venues
Beautiful venue, bathrooms stayed clean, fast bar service, and great music 👍
They were trying to charge people 75 dollars 30 minutes before closing.Music was on point though.
Overall great experience
R&B Night Every Other Wednesday Is A Vibe!!!! And The Bartenders Are Excellent!!
Went to emo night karaoke with a friend. absolutely great event, and a nice venue as well
The live band was amazing. The venue was very pretty.
Went here to a RAW Art Show. Drinks were overpriced but the space is very cool.
Awesome music venue. Cool atmosphere and great service.
Clean organized establishment. Courteous staff. Solid lighting and sound.
Beautiful atmosphere. Always have an amazing time everytime I go.
Cute venue. Had a blast at the WWN afterparty. Thanks for hosting us!
I think k I already rated but ey!! I love this place this weekend was lit. Marshmello was excellent!
Terrible selection of music, over priced drinks, drugged out kids underaged. Too loud. Obnoxious staff.
Great staff, Very professional and accomodating. Or team will definitely look into working with them in the near future.
Great venue. Great people. Especially. When Boogie T plays. Respect
Very good place to have fun
Great venue with cheap shows and usually a good crowd
Good space for a show! Two bars and a dance floor
EDM music and a fun club environment. Perfect for a Saturday night
Great venue, super chill security, amazing experience!
Juvenile is my fav rapper I had a blast last night
Small venue, great if you are seeing a band you love.
Good space with a stage and lots of dance floor space. Very relaxed
Best place for underground music
Decent venue but not large enough for this event.
Classic authentic New Orleans spot and a good place to watch the Saints games.
Great venue, that features great artists. From local to touring.
Be prepared to stand ALL night or pay 200.00 (minimum) to sit in the VIP section...I chose the latter.
Ive been there multiple times now. Good venue.
Another great venue for live music in Nola. Interesting art work
