Not a bad experience for visiting Nola. I enjoyed it but did make it know to Cecil that a sliver of light was still entering (after eyes adjusted, I could see a silhouette) and it was difficult for me to stay afloat (neck was over extended and felt a strain). Perhaps needs more salts to increase buoyancy.Cecil (owner) is great though! Thank you for your expertise and showmanship. Will have to revisit when I am back in Nola!

I had to pay before the massage and before I knew how good or bad the service was going to be first of all. They make you pay upfront cause the service is not good. I asked for a deep tissue massage and the old guy that gave my massage didnt apply any pressure and I was still in pain after leaving. I told him what spots to work on before he started and as he massaged I expressed it again to him where I hurt and he said that is as deep as it gets!!! I paid for something I could have done to myself laying on stomach!!! Worst massage in my life.

Wonderful people, a beautiful little space with lots of different offerings, but most importantly, the perfect float! Sensory deprivation floatation is one of the most effective tools in my arsenal for regulating stress and fostering a healthy respect for my mind/body connection. Float Nolas tanks are large and delightful. I prefer a 90min float to really get somewhere psychologically, but a 60min still provides a much-needed disconnect and I do my best to get at least one every other month or so for a reset. These Cecil and Lydia definitely know what theyre doing and have created a very special space in the heart of downtown New Orleans. Highly recommend!-- Gage from Nola.

Invigorating. I received a 60-minute facial with Lydia B. She has a soothing approach and her skills were greatly appreciated. I HIGHLY recommend her expertise. The Spa is welcoming with an aromatic, calm environment. Clean, uncluttered and spacious. This was my first visit and definitely not my last. 🌻⚜

I have been going to Float Nola for years now. They truly have excellent services and offer things that cannot be found anywhere else in the city. The float tanks, saunas, and cold plunge are literally one of a kind. I love the services so much I could not choose between them. Now I visit them weekly to float, massage, facial, sauna and cold plunge. They are literally my self care practice. No need for a therapist if you go to FLOAT Nola regularly!!!

My husband and I both had floats and massage and we both had poor experiences. My husbands float water was not hot, he mentioned this after his float and they brushed it off and said it probably just felt cool because your get hot baths at home. I get much hotter baths/showers than him and u thought the water was almost too hot.We then got 90 minute full body massages. His was ok, mine not so much. The therapists didnt talk to me at all and all I received was a back and foot massage. I never saw him after my massage to Address my concerns.I would not recommend, especially since they charged my card before our appointments without telling me they were going to do so. Total waste of nearly $500!

I had my first float session on my birthday a Float in New Orleans, along with a great facial, and it was just the type of pampering I needed on my special day. The float session I was hesitant at first about it — and even at one point sat up in the egg like tank I was in because the darkness and heat just got to me — but once I just relaxed and let go I was floating away. It is such a different and surreal feeling, you have to just experience for yourself. A 90 min session is equivalent to 6 hours of sleep! They had to literally pound on the door to snap me out of the floating world I was in, it was that relaxing. My facial was a great way to follow up the float session and I left looking and feeling great. This is a great spa that is exceptionally clean and the staff were professional, knowledgeable and make you feel comfortable right when you walk in. I highly recommend this spa, so be sure to check it out right in the heart of downtown New Orleans!

Flōt Nōla is exceptional! The sensory experience - the facilities, lighting, sound, amenities, water temperature - is worth every penny. The owners have state-of-the-art pumping technology and custom-made tanks from Europe. This precise process makes for a spotless and carefully executed session time after time. They have decades of experience with floating and are a wealth of knowledge. I felt wonderfully relaxed after my visit today and can’t wait to return.

The water in the float tank was completely discolored and is obviously not changed after each session as they claim. Pretty sure its not even filtered. Had I known I wouldnt have gone. I experienced disturbing images in my mind while being submerged in filthy water that has probably been used by thousands of people. Dont waste your money.

My Flotation Therapy experience today was absolute perfection! I have floated before in a few different places and this was my favorite! The owners were delightful and genuine. I work close by and look forward to having them not only as new business owners, but also neighbors! The rooms were spotlessly clean, which is extremely important to me! The tanks empty and fill between every client, so the water is filtered and the tub itself is wiped down. Everything I needed was provided, and everything was good quality! Plush towels and bathmats, waterproof earplugs, etc.The nicest surprise is that the room was kept at the same temperature as the water (around 94 degrees) so whether I had the top of the flotation pod open or closed, I remained comfortably warm. In other places Ive had to close the pod to stay warm, which was fine for me, but not for people who feel claustrophobic.Im so excited that Flot Nola has opened, and so close to where I work! I will be there often!

I’ve been here about 2 dozen times now and have nothing but amazing things to say. The float experience itself is, by far, the best I’ve ever seen (been to about 5 other facilities while traveling). I tell everyone I know about it and it has become a staple in my self care ritual. Highly highly recommended.

My flotation session was amazing! The room was spotless clean and had a truly amazing shower setup. The tanks are filled when you arrive and the room is set up at the right temperature - so you can have your float experience with the pod open or closed. They provided all the amenities, plush towels, mats, soaps, lotions, ear plugs, even a robe! There’s a hook up for your own music if you wish.Everyone was very friendly. The entire spa is five star with chairs available to relax after your float.I walked out of there feeling fresh and chilled out, the reset button pushed. I plan on going back regularly! And I would recommend this location to anyone interested in trying it out.

Be sure to inquire about pricing.Massage and float tank for my wife and me.According to the prices listed on the website this should have cost $510. Excellent, booked it and enjoyed it. Seen the charges the next day and it cost $708. I called to inquire about it and was told that because we did the massages in the same room (which made no difference to us) it was $320 for the massages $30 upcharge for prenatal (no differentthan the website) and $240 for the float tanks. Totalling $590 right? Nope 20% gratuity totalling $118 which I had no idea nor intentions of bringing my total to $708. I feel scammed. So if your booking here make sure you understand the pricing cause they wont volunteer the information nor have I seen a receipt.Update: They refunded me the difference. Again the service was great and I want to be clear this was a miscommunication on my part as well.

This business must not be doing well because they are desperate to take your money. I called and made an appointment over the phone and was scheduled for a few days later. I then had a covid scare so I called the evening before the appointment (approx 20 hours before the scheduled time) and left a message that I needed to cancel. If they would have just called me back the next morning to say they were going to charge me bc they consider less than 24 hours a no show - I couldve had a friend go in my place or figured out something so someone couldve enjoyed it. Instead, a few days later I received an emailed receipt saying they charged my cc $240. I called them and asked how they charged me without my authorization and they said they could bc the policy is on the website. Well I never went on their website bc I called and made my appointment over the phone. He also of course could have told me this policy when making the appointment as most reputable spas would do. I also asked if he could let me reschedule and use the funds that he already charged me. He told me he would talk with his biz partner and call me back. Of course he never did so I called again to check the status. He told me the same thing again and of course never called me back. I disputed the charge with my cc company without success and these crooks got to keep my money bc the policy is on the website. They also told the credit card company during the dispute that I would be put on some list and wont be able to go to other spas in the city. I have worked in the luxury spa world for over 15 years as an esthetician at a four star/five diamond hotel. I started at the front desk in college and eventually became a service provider. In all my years I have never provided/received such terrible customer service and thoughtlessness when it comes to the way you should treat your guests, especially as a first time customer. Its obvious that I absolutely do not recommend Float Nola.

My experience at Flot Nola was of mixed feelings. My facial with Lena was amazing. She took consideration into my problem areas and thoroughly explained her steps and recommendations necessary for my skin. My message wasn’t the best I’ve experienced. Jessica inquired what were some points I’d like her to work on and she did exactly that, only messaged the areas I expressed to her about. For an hour and a half my back and neck was rubbed until the point that it was feeling sore. When I asked her if we could move to another part of the body and told me we had 6 minutes left and oiled my legs down and sent me on my way. She clearly had an attitude after I told her that I’m typically use to my message therapist show attention to my problem areas but still make an appoint to show the body total care. I could tell she left and said something to the owner because he didn’t even inquire how my service was. By far the first time I’ve ever left a message and not been satisfied or relaxed. I had high hopes for my Valentines treatment with my husband.

This business made an unauthorized charge on my credit card. My wife and I scheduled our first float ever. It was actually a surprise present for me.The night before our float I was brought to the hospital via ambulance due to severe food poisoning. My wife called Float NOLA and left a voicemail, and emailed them when I was brought to the hospital to reschedule. This was during March 2021 when New Orleans was still under a mask mandate and just receiving vaccinations due to Covid -19. The morning before our appointment, my wife called and followed up again to reschedule. The owner rescheduled our appointments personally and expressed that we could not get a refund but we could reschedule for a different day. The day we went in, everything was great. We were greeted hello and goodbye by the owner and not once did my wife pull out her credit card or signed for any payment authorization. The next day, my wife noticed a second charge for two additional floats by float NOLA. She immediately called and spoke with the owner. The owner expressed that the charge was “automatic” through their payment system and expressed that the payment go through “square” and would take two weeks to refund. My wife contacted the bank as well. Now months later, my wife was notified by her bank that Float NOLA did not in fact refund our money and sent a long letter about their “refund policy” and jibber jabber about 24 hour notice. The owner of this establishment is not only a thief but a liar. He was telling my wife one thing and did the complete opposite. When my wife tried to call and inquire about this once again and the owner hung up on her. New Orleanians and visitors beware. They will charge your card without authorization. The owner appears calm and welcoming, however; he is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Nothing but a prejudice con man and an excuse of a business owner.

Scheduled 2 float sessions. My friend couldn’t make it last minute. When it says you will be charged if you don’t show they definitely mean it. Which I understand to an extent but at least offer a discount on the next float or something. Not a good way to keep return customers.I also was charged gratuity which was never mentioned anywhere.

This business refused to refund unused membership benefits when I canceled my membership. Had to do a charge back with my credit card company to get my money back. The owner (Cecil) was extremely rude to me when I attempted to resolve this with him over the phone. The float tanks are kept way too warm, and caused me to overheat during my float. The float tanks were designed by the owner and do not have adequate ventilation, as I was struggling to breath while floating due to the excessive heat and lack of fresh oxygen. I will not be returning to this business.Edit: In addition to the above, the tanks are NOT quiet! You can hear vehicles and planes from the outside environment, and the noise of the pumps for the water system are extremely loud, disrupting the float session. I had to get my head out of the water because the sound was so annoying.

I had a facial scheduled with Lydia. Less than four hours beforehand, I received a notification that “Float New Orleans has rescheduled your appointment” (copied verbatim from the automatic text I received) to the following day. I called to find out what had happened, and both people I spoke to insisted that my appointment had always been the following day. I texted them screenshots of the confirmation texts I had received proving that the appointment was when I said it was, and their response was that the appointment was changed during their lunch hour so they couldn’t possibly have done it. They never owned up to the mistake, and instead told me they were busy and I was wasting too much of their time. It was an all-around perplexing experience, and I encourage you not to tempt fate by scheduling an appointment with these rude, unreliable people.

Experience started OK, but quickly went downhill. The owner would not stop talking, and then some of his stories just didn’t add up.He has a PhD, he is a cardiologist and has many patents from which he has been receiving royalties, he teaches cardiology students, he has been a massage therapist and floating for 35 years, he was the Vice President of Disney for 10 years, he personally designed the float tanks, he was offered millions to go run Canada’s largest recycling facility but declined because he didn’t want to get back in corporate world, and on and on and on and on and on……It was annoying when he started bad mouthing his neighbours at Sextant who have low budget rooms for 81$. He was making rude comments about folks who stay in those types of accommodations. Then he started talking about how awful the French quarter has become and it is unsanitary and poorly policed. He would never bring guests there and refuses to go to the French quarter. Hardly a good ambassador for his city. He didn’t follow that up with any better recommendations. He just kept talking & talking, thankfully his phone beeped and I took that opportunity to close my eyes.I was charged 35$ for 20min of oxygen in the lobby of the spa. Their website indicates 15$When I tried to pay by credit card I was informed I had to leave my phone number and email and all my details to be inputted into his computer. When I said that was unusual- he repeated that was standardI think everyone knows that is NOT standard. Please avoid this place - it’s overpriced and the owner seems dodgy.
