This place is great. I travel all over and visit record stores and this one had the best Used section. So many great albums in excellent condition. And Wow prices New vinyl priced at $25 that I saw for $40 in Dallas last week. I was there for the records but they have a ton of other stuff. Posters, clothing, vapes, gifts…check out Mushroom.

AZ is the man when it comes to puff co. Went and bought the new peak pro v2 there and when updating it to the 3dxl chamber the base crashed and wouldnt do anything (bricked) I called and he was able to guide me on how to fix it and even started charging another on in case the fix didnt work!! Amazing customer service, best selection around on glass also

I absolutely love shopping with them online I haven’t had the chance to shop in store yet but I don’t have to. When ordering things with them if you create an account You get reward points plus I got free shipping and you get free shipping every time no matter what the item is plus they ship with USPS so you get updates sent right to your phone. I love it here.

It may be a little pricey, but they will be the place to find what you are looking for when no one else has it. The guy was very nice and helpful with my purchase as I explained it was a gift to someone else. They are having a sale, so go check them out. This piece also glows in the dark.

Ive been going to this record store for over ten years and it has always been one of my favorite businesses in the city to shop around at whether it be for vintage t-shirts, new/used records, posters, or smoke accessories. Ive always been satisfied with the customer service throughout the years Ive been going and never had any complaints.Just when I thought this place couldnt get any better, they threw me an unexpected curveball during the holiday season. I came across a very nice glass item that I desperately wanted to purchase for my girlfriend as a Christmas gift. After realizing that the item was a bit out of my price range the worker that was helping me, AZ, offered to set me up on a payment plan through PayPal so that I could pay off the item in four installments.Fast, convenient, and easy to set up, I was able to purchase this item for my gf that same night and had one of the best customer experiences of my life. The entire staff was a such joy to talk to while setting up the plan, I found myself spending more time at the shop than intended and even treated myself to a little more shopping. The whole crew (AZ, Mike, Steph, and Elliot) were super friendly and gave me a truly unforgettable experience.My gf was absolutely thrilled with her gift and Ive been treated like a king since she got it. I called Mushroom New Orleans about an order I was about to place because I had some questions. And I have to say they answered my call right away and sounded very professional. They had a copy of a Record Store Day vinyl that was suggested list price of $19 on Sunday. They jacked the price up to $79 because of “the market” which is a violation of the pledge they took as an RSD participating store.

One of the best shop around. Was on vacation and needed to find a 3D camber and was able to score. Az is a amazing person and always going out of his way to help other people. So glad I was able to find this shop because I would go there before anyone else. 10 stars for Mushroom New Orleans if I could. 💯

Holy smokes (pun intended) this place is like a slice of Portland in NOLA. I am from Portland so I felt like I was home! Records, posters, CBD, incense, and glass. The staff is really nice and helpful, and the store has so much to offer. I called ahead and they held some limited records for me behind the counter until I got there! This will be a go to spot for my spouse and I for sure.

My kid broke a worthless-yet-rare item that is part of a holiday tradition. It doesnt exist seemingly anywhere anymore. Not only did they take my call and hunt down a surrogate item that was close, theyre going to keep an eye out for replacing it if they can with what was lost.Like, I didnt know these guys existed until a google search. But Ill definitely be ordering from them again. SO many cool things.Im not sure if Ill ever be in NO, but if I ever find myself there, Ill definitely swing by and support them in person too.

One of the best record store around. They have a great selection of recording artists t-shirts, various vinyls. Smoking apparatuses, incense, funny gadgets, posters. Not wheel chair accessible, its on the second floor of the building.

Overpriced jewelry that breaks same day!!! I’m disappointed because I been knew their jewelry breaks but I still gave them another chance thinking maybe I was too rough with the belly ring but no. What’s crazy is I can tell the butterfly on this was SUPERGLUED, I brought two piercings for 12$ just for them to break same day. Never again I wouldn’t recommend this place for anything but a bong, a posture, or anything to do with MUSIC!

What a wonderful store!!! The staff here: Josh, Frankie, Hakeen, Steph, Lily, Shon, Elliott, Amber and Chris are always so helpful, kind, informative and invariably make me laugh during each visit. I thought it was gonna be just another cheesy head shop, but it was SOOOO down to earth, incredible record section, super nice glass, just all kinds of unique and different things like crystals and jewelry and posters, but the staff was Hella chill too, seemed legit happy to work there

Always a solid place to go for a wide variety of your needs. They are very knowledgeable especially when it comes to brand specific questions about the inside working pieces that make each individual pens and vapes. Very smart, courteous, and thorough. I definitely recommend this establishment. They have a coffee shop right below them also. Nice selection of records too. Overall if your looking for quality service and products, this is your spot. I will say tho, they are not cheap. But you get what you pay for right..?

My favorite store in New Orleans, the atmosphere in the shop is really chill and theres so much stuff to go through I have to force myself to stick to what I came in for or Ill loose hours in here. The employees are always really easygoing and funny and the music they play is super eclectic and good.

This is literally the best head shop in the state of Louisiana! They are knowledgeable about ALL of their products. I was never told I dont know. or treated like i was crazy for asking for very specific stuff. They price matched the ra shop and gave me the best service of my life. Ive come across head shops in legal states that knew less!! 5/5 is not enough its over 9000!

Talk about an encyclopedia of information when it comes to glass, rigs, air flow, pull tests, and some of best recommendations I have ever received in a shop. They have a wide selection of glass and tons of cool records, tees, jewelry, and much more in this place. My Girlfriend and I come and wander around this place for an hour or more when we stop by. Such a cool place and friendly. Everything is cleaned regularly and social distancing is encouraged but not noticeable, masks must be worn over the face at all times.

This is a great headshop/record store! They were way better before the hurricane in 2011 or 2010, they had a lot of damages and remodeled the store. Now everything is organized and more commercial looking. I used to love to go for hours and dig through their stuff. They have gotten rid of most of their more obscure stuff. Great selection of posters. Their pipes and glass are WAY over priced, but a lot of it looks like custom made glass, so not like those basic glass pipes that every shop has, although they have that stuff as well. But, I absolutely love this shop! Great staff and cozy shop to kill time before a night out. Also, check out the crepe shop next door!

Been going here since I was a young child! Years later and it still holds up. AZ and the boys were some chillers that hooked me up with some friendly and efficient service recently when I needed a new pen for my oil cartridge. Thanks guys! 10/10 would recommend

This place is great and staff is super helpful as well! They are one of my places I have for gathering smoke supplies and picking up a new vinyl for listening. They are excellent here and I love everyone here at this shop!

Great about ordering stuff. A little lax on calling you when its in. Broad selection. Excellent used CD prices, but hard to wade through the packed stacks. You have to take the time and be patient. If you ask for suggestions to augment music you like with something close, but a little different, theyre usually good at helping. Better than three stars, but not quite a four.

My dad (who is very straight laced, walks a tight line type of guy) actually took me to this place for the first time. He told me how cool it was and we popped in one day and there was a TON of music stuff (amongst other things) and cute little things like my hedgehog and mushroom statue that I just had to (and still do) have. Staff was chill and the whole experience was nice.

100 STARS coming from Phoenix, Az! Havent been to NOLA yet but the day I do Im headed to the Mushroom! It will be worth the trip!!! My main man there is AZ! Hes super knowledgeable and knows his s**t!!!! Phoenix has at least 150 head shops and 1 of them is a quarter mile away from my house. Giving all of my business to AZ and the Mushroom in NOLA! 💯

This is my new favorite vape store. The Prices are great and the shipping is fast. The company has the most down to earth and pleasant people to deal with.

Great place with an awesome selection. Got my last 3 pieces here. Vapes, pipes, water pipes, records, clothes, and much more. Friendly staff. MARK AND BEN YOU THE REAL MVP. Helped me find a replacement needle for my record player, and now it works beautifully. Usually have some kind of sale going on. This is my favorite smoke shop in New Orleans.

The staff here is super helpful especially Mike and AZ. The staff is super educated on all the merchandise and super upbeat and energetic. I had to get a hoodie as soon as I settled in. In my one visit it probably became one of my favorite New Orleans smoke shops. It has more than just smoke merchandise too. THeres also vinyls, dvds, posters, jewelry, t-shirts. Id definitely recommend taking a visit if youre in the area.

I have a lot of respect for this place. They dont feel like their trying to nickle and dime all your money from you which is why I drive from kenner to get there. Great hours too, always coming thru in the last hour. Staff is always great especially the dude that is always there and has been there for a long time (he may be the owner/manager) I got a piece there during the 4/20 sale and it was 50$ cheaper than on the manufacturers website. There headies are also priced well for art pieces. Great CBD selection and also the record side of things is A+. Honestly the best head shop in the city, probably the state.

Lots of cool records, vape and smoke gear, and awesome ear stretching jewelery. Theyre the only place in town that you can buy insertion tapers for sizing up! And theyre dog friendly.

I have been going here for nearly 20 years. Hasnt changed much at all & the prices for some things are still not to bad. It has the same groovy & hip environment it always has been. Its still like no other I have seen. Must stop by when in town unique shop!

I use to go the Mushroom frequently because I thought it was a decent local business. However, today while shopping with a friend, who spent a decent amount of money, I was confronted by the OWNER who demanded I empty my pockets. When nothing was produced, he then patted me down like a criminal. I simply touched something while in the store and that was suspicious enough to accuse me of stealing. When I asked what had I done to be accused of stealing, I was informed that the employee had told him I done something weird, and that the same employee had accused 4 other customers prior. I find it very disgraceful that even with the employees prior accusations I was treated like a criminal. The employee needs to be held accountable for his false accusations upon PAYING customers. Needless to say I will never return to this store nor will I EVER recommend anyone go here. Unless of course you want to be treated as a thief.

Seems like a cool place to check out until the prejudice employees start accusing my boyfriend and I of stealing. You can literally feel them breathing down your neck as you shop around. There are plenty of chill record stores in Nola. This one isn’t what you’re looking for, promise. S/o to the colored hair chick. This is about you.

Ive always loved the mushroom, solid people. We recently went to pick up some records and look at the movies. My friend picked out a pipe she liked and pay for it when we left. Well turns out we left it on the counter and didnt notice till getting home (in Baton Rouge ). We gave them a call and they shipped it to us! I loved the mushroom before this and much more now.

Crew is tha fn best. Always helpful and knowledgeable. Owner is super cool. Favorite place to spend a few hours going through used merch and just random other items. Awesome incense. Cute ladies and gents working counters with great conversations if you make it past frat central.

Pretty condescending attitude when I went in to sell some records. The little hipster behind the counter scoffed at the fact that nobody listens to artist I brought in, then handed me a buck each with a smirk on his face. Place used to be a great place to shop. Dunno where they get their employees from these days.

I was searching for Totos limited release of Africa/Rosanna for Record Store Day 2017 in anticipation of getting it signed at an upcoming meet-and-greet for a concert I was attending. The Mushroom was able to help me locate one. Then I realized I also needed a copy of Toto IV on vinyl for the same concert. They didnt have it in stock, but Mark actually gave up his personal copy.Its so awesome to have a place who will go to the next level to ensure their customers get what they need. The Mushroom is the epitome of excellent customer service! I will always go to them first when searching for hard-to-find music and memorabilia.

They have wonderful advertisement but they lie about half of the things they say on the commercial. I brought them 100 different music C Ds that their commercial states they will buy and they didnt buy any of them. What a crooked way to get you into their store.

Has just about everything. They have good customer service and very professional. Its a lot bigger then I thought. Plus, after shopping you can get a drink if you want, right next doors.

Great spot to pick up headphones and other head shop stuff. DVDs by the 1000s to choose from. CDs even some cassette tapes. A nice air-conditioned space, too.

I’m a regular. Come every week. Lost my ID last week and had my old one and each one of them by now seen my I.D. There is also times I stop by and my I.D is not checked by multiple employees several times. The old I.d I been using has been checked last week by the same employee that denied me today. I moved to New Orleans June 2018. I have been to the Mushroom every week since living here. Lost a loyal customer 👎🏾

The mushroom is my domain they have everything you could possibly want for Tobacco consumers music lovers and hippies from water pipes to hookas highly recommended to anyone in that category 100 starts all the way I love these guys they are always nice and you will never be unsatisfied unless u forget ur ID so remember that and have a nice trip ;)

New, younger employees are pretty darn rude and always act surly towards me. Wonderful store with great items and selection, but pretty unkind, standoffish service, different from the past.

Great store , but TERRIBLE STAFF. They have a lot of neat items to shop for , but are not welcoming to people with children at all . Not to mention , they do not know how to measure plugs . Staff is super rude .

This hole in the wall is like an old head shop where they sell a wide variety of cloths cds and patches and of course the mountains of horrible body jewelry which I think they run constant sales on. Lowest quality imaginable. The sales person took it out to show a customer and walked away letting them thumb through it freely. This is something someone is putting in their body and the amount of people that have touched it (scary). Places like this should not be allowed to sell body jewelry. Body jewelry should come with a warning, if it is obviously of low quality, made in china, stating there might be a huge chance of complications that can arise from putting unsafe products in your body..Hi McCall thanks for telling me I should talk about stuff I know umm by the way I own a body piercing shop in new Orleans and sell nothing but implant grade titanium jewelry so maybe you should not talk about stuff you dont know and there is no titanium jewelry in your selection not for the price of 3.99 and if you knew what your where talking about body jewelry is not the same as regular jewelry and you cannot clean bio matter off with just alcohol wipes. Just to prove you dont know what you are talking about surgical steel is not a real thing it is made up to falsely let people think they are getting implant grade. So if you are reading this dont let these people trick you into good jewelry go to a real shop where they actually know what they are talking about.

Not worth your time if youre looking to do some serious vinyl digging. Id recommend you hit up Euclid where you could spend the entire day digging through quality new and used vinyl.

July 5th 2017 sign on the door says open at 12 waited to 12:45 no one ever came . Place was locked up tight. Lots of people waiting . And of course the phones have been down for like a month. Someone doesnt take their job seriously .

I used to love this place I normally leave great reviews check me out this is probably the worst review I have ever left anywhere they treated me horrible lied about not having a bathroom and I had to leave and wasnt able to finish looking for records I was going to buy. I planned on spending around 300 dollars and Im a huuuge consumer I would have went back religiously and bought records but they have the worst customer service of any place Ive been to IN A VERY VERY LONG TIME POSSIBLY EVER! MUSHROOM YALL LOST ME AS A CUSTOMER AND BROKE MY HEART I USED TO REALLY LOVE THIS PLACE. SMH PICK SOMEWHERE ELSE ANYWHERE ELSE!

Their glass collection was the best Ive ever seen and and so was their hookah collection. I appreciate the interaction so much.

In the past ive been a regular customer at this shop. Went in today for the first time in awhile and received serious attitude from the arrogant staff. Giving one star review due to the unchecked attitude of the stores new employees.

Love this place! They have a little bit of everything & the staff cool and friendly.

Great shop, its got everything. My only complaint is that they charge an extra 15-20% more than other similar shops.

These guys are really nice and helpful. Brought a friend in to get a rig for concentrates and they got him everything he needed.
