Nice smoke shop with friendly staff.Prices seem fair.Location is great…just a few blocks from the beach.

I was in the neighborhood today visiting an old friend and on my way over to the Balboa peninsula I remember that there is an Up In Smoke store on the way!! As anyone who has read my other review of the store that was previously on Bristol was my long time place for all my accessories like hemp wicks, water pipes, papers, and all things smoking related. Today marks the day that I solved the quest to understand the connection of ALL the Up In Smoke stores!!First, a huge amount of gratitude to Bruce who filled me in on Mike and Murad, who are the original people that own and operate the stores. I used to chat regularly with Mike at the Bristol store and he always was solid on hooking up the great glass!! Bruce and the other guys at the shop are incredibly welcoming and the store is impeccable. They have everything you need, especially if youre like me and fumble your piece and it breaks at the beach. OR in case you accidentally loose track of your papers and they get donated to the sand gods Up In Smoke is right there off of Newport Blvd South just up on the left hand side a little bit past the liquor store also on the left. You can also access the store on the North bound side of Newport Blvd just past 26th Street. There are pay kiosks for some of the street parking so be aware of it so you dont get a ticket.The store has a great selection of pipes, water pieces, gear for vaping, also a nice selection of cigars should you be in the mood. All the other accessories like protective bags for traveling with your piece, rolling trays, selection of tobacco for argile/hookah smokers, e juices, etc. Again, location, location, location! Literally steps from the beach, the bar, the restaurants, whatever your destination or reason Up In Smoke is right there for you. Enjoy!!!

These folks here are so helpful and kind. If they don’t have it they will find it for you! They have great products, great glass and great prices! These folks last of a dying breed. Appreciate them!

Wyoming natives, came here for vacation. Needed a single coil for my sub ohm tank. They happily sold me an individual coil, and said to bring it back if there was any issues with it. Great price on the coil, thumbs up on the shop.

The young fella helped me out today. It was a great experience. I was able to purchase a Venty. Quick and easy.

One of the best places in town. The best place in town. The staff is extremely helpful. Large inventory of everything that I needed. The thing that I like the most was that they were extremely informative I tend to be a conscious consumer.

The guys that work here are very awesome. Very courteous helpful and patience with the customers. To find what theyre looking for and if they dont have it there offered to order it for you or give them time they will get it for you at a good price. Have a great CBD beverage selection. The music they play in their shop makes me dance every time I go there. Give a shout out to the gentlemens that work behind the counter.

Super chill workers and one of the best stocked shops in all of oc to take care of your 420 needs and wants from cbd to hemp products, kratom, no brand glass thats high quality and also branded glass thats hard to come by. Definitely worth the visit if your passing by to enjoy the beach.

Best smoke shop in town that I have come across! Found a much glass that I loved! The guy at the front (wish I remebered his name) was super helpful and friendly. I bought one and at last minute found another one that I could not leave without, so he stashed it so i could come back and get it the next day! Much appreciated for that! My wife and I came to Newport and I forgot my special bag at home so I needed to get a quick small piece for... recreational activities. Ya know? Came in and the guys behind the counter were super helpful dudes. some shops are kinda intimidating and the workers dont talk... but This isnt like that. I came in and told the guy what I needed and he was cool and helped me. He was knowledgeable about glassware and grinders. He even through in some advice on best places on the beach and even good local spots to eat. Definitely will come back and recommend if youre in town. Thanks fellas!!

Up In Smoke is by far the best smoke shop I have ever been to. Not only is the staff super knowledgeable and friendly, but they have an incredibly broad selection of items at very reasonable pricing. I was extremely excited when I noticed a CIGAR HUMIDOR in the corner of the shop. Inside the humidor was NOT your typical cigar selection for a smoke shop. These fellas had the humidor stocked with some top quality cigar options. Thank You Up In Smoke!

Crazy expensive. Good selection of glass but I cant understate how expensive this place is. Due to its proximity to the vacation area of Newport they over price everything beyond belief. I came in to buy something that a shop only half hour away costs $25, and this place has it at $90!!!! The same exact brand, the same exact product. The markup at regular stores is usually around %50-70 but this place is pulling %200-300 markup. Dont buy anything but glass here, but at least stop by to take a look at the great glass.EDIT: Well this is very classy, within 30 minutes of me posting my honest review of this place they come and rebuttal my review by trying to spin my words into something different and insinuate that I am paid to post here by someone else. In truth I live in Ventura county, hours away from this place. And just look at my profile history, I review random stuff all the time. I merely posted a review telling people that the prices on certain objects are extremely, extremely high due to them being in Newport. I specifically pointed out they have great glass and its definitely worth it to stop by and check the place out. They have great looking glass and from an experienced eye they do have great American blown glass with very little cheap Chinese glass. That is not my argument, they tried to take my review and create a strawman out of it by claiming I was talking about their glass. Truth this store has to great glass, but anything that is not glass is extremely overpriced. And the fact that they feel the need to rebuttal any review just goes to show you what kind of store this is. Due to this Im lowering my rating due to your comment. Very unprofessional.Full disclosure, I worked at a head shop for 3 years, about 7 years ago.

Can’t get enough of this place! I live in Corona and THIS is my new home base for anything glass. I’ve been to the others; nothing compares to this. Fady was so amazingly friendly! Helped me pick out a great ash catcher and downstem! Love these guys!

Got a juul and vape device from there with no receipt and the juul was broken from the start. Brought it in a couple days later (24 hour return policy) and they still gave me a new one!! It works great:) Amazing people and a cool place to find awesome products. 10/10 service & staff.

Faris customer service was unparalled. He was sharp, professional, patient, and down to earth. Not only did he provide me with undivided attention on the phone, but he even spent time honestly explaining the pros and cons of any product I asked him about. I appreciate his knowledge, professionalism, and friendliness. I have to drive 30mins to get here but I have no doubt that this is the best smoke shop in Orange County. The store was clean, organized, and inviting. In addition the general feung shui of the shop reminded me of my crib back at home. This store seriously deserves a shoutout.

Up In Smoke Newport Beach was more than I expected. I had read great reviews prior to going, but once I had gone for myself I was hooked! It has quickly become my go to shop! The variety, the customer service, & the location is great. Trust me, youll want to make this your go to shop as well.

The staff at Up in Smoke are courteous and extremely knowledgeable about the products they sell. Everything is of the best quality and their selection is some of the best Ive seen in any smoke shop in the OC. Ill happily drive out of my way and pass several other smoke shops to go to this store.

The staff was effing awesome! I broke my setup and they hooked me up with everything I needed and charged my batteries for me! I honestly never had such great customer service. Love this place!! This happened at closing time btw.

I can not tell you how WONDERFUL these guys are! After coming in before quarantine they helped me find a CBD product that worked for me. When they stopped stocking the product, they literally ordered a case of it to keep for me in the back to buy a few bags at the time. When I went home to Tennessee and told them the CBD store near me didnt have the product I liked, they started shipping it to me for no extra cost! I cant tell you how much they go above and beyond for their customers. Please please please support this local business they deserve it!!

I moved to the OC area a couple of months ago and have gone to a few smoke shops in the area but this place was the absolute best!I went there a few days ago to pick up a cool hand pipe and ended up buying a hitman! :] This place literally has everything for your smoking needs at a great price. The guys that helped me out where very knowledgeable and answer any questions I had. If you are ever in Newport do yourself a favor and go check it out!
