Appointment 1: I received a beautiful, blonde halo ($650 for service + tip + hair care product). It took 7 hours, but I appreciated that she took her time to do it right. When I got home, I realized the back of my black sweater was ruined from bleach, but the stylist sent me $50 for cover the cost of the sweater right away. Appointment 2: I went back 6 weeks later for a blonde touch up and asked for curtain bangs. After 3.5 hours, my hair was splotchy dark grey/purple and I had micro bangs ($224 for service + tip). The stylist asked if I could come back the next day to fix the color. This was a bit frustrating since I took off work for the appointment, but I had two large-scale events in two days, so I needed my hair to look nice. Appointment 3: A color remover was applied to strip the purple, leaving light brown hair (not the blonde I originally asked for/paid for). After 6.5 hours of trying to get it right, I’m calling it quits. Very disappointed ☹️

I had a great massage with Rachel! So knowledgeable, perfect amount of pressure, and she reminded me to breathe throughout which was so helpful. I would go back for another massage with her but I had a negative experience at the front desk. After I checked out one of the concierge ladies noticed it was my birthday. She wished me happy birthday and mentioned there’s a discount for birthdays. Another staff member sitting next to her tapped her arm (as if to hush her up). She was on the phone so didn’t say anything else or even acknowledge I was standing there. It was very rude and not at all what I would expect on my birthday. The first concierge wished me happy birthday again and seemed embarrassed. Loved the service until this happened and can’t say I’ll be back.Edit to add the owner called me right away to apologize and make things right. That goes a long way! This wasn’t about the discount— it was about the experience. That totally changed my experience so I’ll think about coming back :)

So bummed about my experience at this spa after 3 opportunities (2 for me and 1 for my husband) to get our facials right. My initial facial was an okay experience but I had a hunch that my esthetician was on her phone for a portion of our time together as there were long quiet pauses. Instead of performing a hand or arm massage when my mask was settling, she was texting/scrolling as I could periodically hear her nails against her phone screen. I left being a bit upset but my skin looked amazing so I didnt complain and decided to send my husband to see her a few months later. I was hoping that my first experience was a fluke and he would have glowing skin like I did when I left the spa that day.After he returned from his facial his skin looked great so I booked another appointment for myself. Unfortunately, I again had the same experience of the continuous phone use. At one point she was massaging my head with two hands and one hand dropped so that she could be on her phone. I was so frustrated and felt disrespected that she wasnt being present in our time together. I then realized that it was actually unsanitary for her to go back and forth between touching her phone and touching my face without washing her hands. When I returned home I told my husband about the experience and his response was, yeah, there actually were a bunch of long awkward pauses during my treatment.The spa sent me a feedback survey the next day, which I promptly completed. It has been over two weeks and no one has reached out to me to follow up on my experience. I wont be returning and wouldnt recommend.

I have been coming here for many years as it is down the street from me. I started out with a massage series, which is their packages of 10 if you are committed, and want a cheaper price upfront.Then I would come for my hair services once my friend, who did my hair styling moved out of town. They did a good job, but I was not into sitting there for so long, so I stopped going for that service!Now I am back with another massage, serious, much needed with all of that tension. You build up day by day! The massage rooms are small, but clean and welcoming. There are restrooms both upstairs and downstairs. Some masseuses are better than others so hopefully you can find one that you like and they will stick around. Like most places masseuse turnaround is very high. You can even read profile bios of the masseuses on their website.There is a variety of items you can buy at the front desk area and they have a bench now to sit while you wait for your service.I am also on the email list, so I get announcements of new events.The downside of the massage series is that you have to call in or go in person to buy it and can’t do it online. I like doing everything online and I don’t understand why they don’t have that option for this! Luckily, you can make your appointments online.Emailing the front desk is a hit or miss. Some people reply right away and some miss your email and won’t reply for many days.

I’ve gotten a massage here before from Rachel, and it was one of the best massages I’ve had. So for my 40th bday, I booked an extra luxurious 90 minute deep tissue massage w/ Rachel. Was looking forward to it for weeks (I can’t afford to splurge like this very often).In order to confirm the appointment, the spa calls, emails, and texts, to ensure the customer is there and doesn’t waste the spa’s time.When Rachel unexpectedly had to leave early, all I got was one voicemail. I worked all day, honestly had a pretty frantic day, so hadn’t checked my messages and went straight to the massage appointment. So when a different massage therapist showed up, I was very surprised, but figured something unexpected came up, but they have a person with a similar skill set to sub in, and went into the massage still feeling good.I’m am not annoyed that Rachel had to leave early, things happen. I am really annoyed that they didn’t actually confirm w/ me that switching the therapists was ok w/ me (they could have texted and emailed, as they do for themselves- but apparently don’t care as much about the customer). And I’m annoyed the massage therapist they subbed in was not similar at all, in skill or style to what I had booked. (To be clear, the sub was lovely, had great energy, but was just a different style to what I had booked.)They charged me for a deep tissue massage, and I basically got someone rubbing lotion on me for 90 minutes, and I left with all the pain and knots that I came in with. They should have at least charged me for a Swedish massage instead, and been aware of the very stark differences between these two therapists. Booking a specific service, then receiving a different less expensive service, but then being charged for the original thing is extremely bad practice. Very disappointed.Am going to try Cocoon next time, as I’ve heard good things. Super disappointed, because Rachel is so talented, but I’m not risking it again, I can’t afford to throw $230 away.

Wonderful first visit (of many, I hope!) to Rockridge Day Spa. I was greeted by a cheerful team member and shown the lovely little waiting area. I was seen immediately by the expert aesthetician - Dumi - and taken to the treatment room. Dumi’s customized facial was fantastic and I look and feel great. The whole experience was a delight and I will definitely be returning to Rockridge Day Spa!

Diana is awesome and this was my second appointment with her. She’s very knowledgeable and her recommendations have always been just right for me.

Dumi was great. Very gentle in her approach to threading and made me feel like I was getting a facial!! Will be returning.

Love, love this place. I had just moved to Oakland and I was just walking by and accidentally dropped my ID. The girl at the front desk Victoria was leaving her shift and was so nice to drive to my house and drop it off. Since then I looked it up online and I have been going there ever since it would be 6 years now. I have tried everything, massages, wraps, eyelash lifts facials I mean everything hair cut and hair staying ITS ALL GREAT + the staff all super nice and welcoming. I 100% recommend it. Check it out, you will go back.

I had my hair cut by Linda at Rockridge Day Spa. No one can cut my hair like Linda does. I have long silver hair and she creates these wonderful layers that show off the texture and different (natural) colors in my hair. And she’s so much fun to talk to.

Highly recommend Brandi, always look forward to my facials with her! The whole team is very friendly and welcoming!

It was my first time visiting and Sapana made it a great experience! Check in was easy and the staff were friendly. I booked a Red Carpet facial after a few months of traveling and experiencing dry, congested skin. Sapana was very knowledgeable and kind, she shared updates as we were going through the facial and she kept me in the loop with everything she was seeing. It was very relaxing and my skin was glowing after. I hope to return again soon!

Rockridge Day Spa is my new go to spot for hair, Linda is the best! I only wish they offered better hair products for purchase. Redkin products are so outdated and rarely seen in upscale salons. Would love to see a new line.

Just got the best massage yesterday - Rachel is awesome. I feel like she really tuned into the areas that needed the most attention. Super therapeutic. She also gave me great tips on what I can do at home to help continue to get relief for the areas with the most tension. Im definitely looking forward to my next visit. Im sure everyone at Rockridge Day Spa is great, but if you want a suggestion on who to see for a massage, book with Rachel. :)

I love this place! It is so great to pamper yourself, or to buy gift certificates for others. It is set up for both men and women! Facial, hair, lashes, massage…they do it all! Stop by and see this amazing salon! You will feel the joy when you first enter. The employees are happy to work here! The owner is adorable!

I had a wonderful massage with Rachel. Rachel shared some fabulous tips and helped me understand those tips holistically. I enjoyed it so much I booked a surprise massage for my partner. I’m going to try more treatments next time.

Am so happy with the red carpet facial I received last week. My GF was too. Our skin is glowing!! Our estheticians were very well trained and knowledge of products and what was appropriate for our skin types. loved the light therapy too. Last year, I had a facial here with similar results with a different esthetician. Nice to see the consistency and that the management has such good training practices. Looking forward to returning here every few months!!

Came in for a facial. I had made it clear when I made the appointment that I needed a facial with extractions. I also made that clear to the esthetician upon arrival. That wasnt focused on and she told me to make another appointment so we can concentrate on that more next time.

I went here for my birthday and loved it! Rachel is an amazing and kind massage therapist and all the staff I met were very friendly and helpful. I think I found my new pampering spot!

Absolutely love this place!! I go for eyebrow cleanups & facials. The owner Elizabeth is amazing. Brandie is my FAVE esthetician. Prompt, sanitary, great quality, knowledgeable, practical, professional, efficient. Win Win!!

Full disclosure I have not gotten a service here before BUT my car got broken into a few blocks away and the women here were super amazing and gave me a sample kit of skin care (since all my skin care was stolen) and I cried happy tears. Thank you ladies!! 12/10 nice people!

Exceptional service all around, I’ve had the same service done other places but I never felt more comfortable elsewhere like I have felt at this establishment. Great location, great service providers and the owner is fantastic.

Ive had several different services done here, and dealt with a few different specialists. Each time I am happy with the outcome. Everyone who works at the spa is very professional and friendly. Im happy I found them.

This was one of my best spa experiences ever! I booked a massage here for me and my partner on a whim because I was feeling super stressed out at work and OMG it was so worth every penny. My partner said it was the best massage of his life and I really enjoyed the facilities

I initially started going to Elizabeth for eyelash extension fills, which she’s insanely talented at! I’ve had eyelash extensions for about a year now and have had 4-5 different techs work on my lashes and Elizabeth is by far the best. They look the fluffiest, fullest, and most importantly, last the longest when Elizabeth fills them. My lash cycle is relatively quick; I typically need a fill every 2 weeks. But Elizabeth (with her vast array of knowledge) asked if she could try out a different curl that she felt would be a better fit for my lashes and sure enough, I can happily go 3 weeks between fills!Yen has also done my lashes, but I’m not able to say how they wear yet as it’s only been about a week. But so far, so good – they look great and Yen is so incredibly sweet, I can’t say it enough! And if Elizabeth recommends her, then that means Yen’s work is up to par with Elizabeth’s so I trust that these will last!What started off as eyelash fills quickly turned into Elizabeth being my go-to for all things skincare. In 2018, I had a hormone imbalance and my skin suffered a great deal from that. Although I worked with a naturopathic doctor to heal the imbalance and continue to do so to maintain optimal levels, my skin has never gotten back to 100%. And yes, I am my harshest critic, but it’s been incredibly hard to deal with as skin issues were something that I (thankfully) never had to deal with up until a couple of years ago.After only 1 appointment with Elizabeth, my skin noticeably improved!! I was (and still am) shocked by how quickly we saw results. One of the very first things Elizabeth said to me about skincare is that a simplistic, natural, less is more approach is her style, which I really appreciate that as I prefer more holistic solutions as well.Sometimes, I feel like estheticians want you to overhaul your entire skincare routine and purchase all new products. And I’m sure they mean well and have a rhyme or reason behind it, but it can be really overwhelming and leave you feeling confused about what you thought you knew about skincare. But it was the complete opposite with Elizabeth - she said that I already have a pretty good routine and she liked the main line that I use, she only recommended a few minor tweaks and changes along with 1 new product (which I’m convinced is magic, something I never thought I’d say about a skincare product) to help improve my current routine even more.I really appreciated that because I felt like Elizabeth took the time to genuinely listen and craft a solution that’s individualized to me and my skin. Elizabeth is SO incredibly knowledgeable; truly an expert in her area. And it’s evident that she sincerely loves what she does; it shows in her work, communication, kindness, and selfless service to her clients.My husband plays professional baseball, so we travel a majority of the year and were only in this area for part of the year this year. I wish more than anything I could somehow bring Elizabeth with us or still see her while we’re traveling because she’s the best of the best! But if all goes well, we should be back here in April, which cannot come soon enough! And until then, I know I’ll be consulting Elizabeth from afar because I wholeheartedly trust her and her opinion when it comes to my skin. I’m so incredibly grateful to have met her and for all that she’s done for my husband and I since then!

Wasted my time and my money. I specifically talked to them about past facial procedures before confirming appointment. They actually called and moved my scheduled appointment and I accommodated. I am in from out of town so $40 Uber to get there. I go in for my appointment and because I was 3 days shy of 3 weeks from my last facial( from where I am from its a 2 week wait and I have never had an issue) they cancelled. Hugely disappointed, I specifically choose this establishment because of their ratings and it was too late to get an appointment anywhere else in time for what I needed. I will be letting all my San Fran friends know.

Rockridge day Spa is so cute inside their products are awsome ! I absolutely love Marissa she is the best ! She does amazing color I also love how she cuts and styles my hair !
