I have been working out with Alison for more than 10 years. This is the longest that I have stayed with an exercise routine in my life and I give Alison all the credit. Alison knows how to meet clients where they are and get them to where they want to be. She motivates and supports her clients to get the best work out possible. I am truly grateful to Alison for helping me stay healthy and strong as I age. She is great at adjusting the work out routine if you are injured. It is a pleasure to work out with her weekly. She mixes it up so I do not get bored. I cannot recommend her enough as a personal trainer.

I’ve been working out with Alison off and on for over a decade at this point. Over the years there have been gaps mostly due to physical distance that required me to utilize other trainers, but the passion, tenacity and overall dedication Alison gives is well above what anyone else in the fitness field gives. Simply put, she cares about your person journey and is willing to walk (or run, or burpee) with you side by side as you work to achieve those goals. She holds you accountable, but also seems to understand that in order for her clients to get the most out of the sessions, it needs to be both challenging but also fun, different and consistent. I cannot recommend her enough, not only will you get the best of the best trainer but also a friend.

I have known Alison for about 17 years and have trained with her on and off with enormous success. Alison is a true professional. She also understands how important it is to adjust the exercises to one’s body, age, possible injuries, and fitness levels. When I started with her, I had a back injury and she helped me gain strength while caring for my back. I got fit enough to do bootcamps with her for a few years and after I had my baby, she helped me regain my confidence and get back to working out regularly. As I have transitioned to menopause now, she has been instrumental in keeping my body and mind healthy & sane. She is mindful of my challenges during this time but still motivates and helps me advance in my physical strength. There is absolutely no other trainer I would rather work with than Alison! She is extremely good at what she does and is also a kind, generous, and well-rounded human being who truly cares and gives back to her community. I started taking classes with Alison in 2017 and begin personal training in 2021. Her workouts are dynamic and ever changing so you never get bored. You are always working toward the goal of a healthy lifestyle where movement is a focal point. The best part of working out with her is how easy she makes it to show up for yourself. She has a modification for every exercise and every lifestyle so the barrier to move is reduced. For all the moms and moms to be, she trained me through a successful pregnancy and helped me rebuild mental and physical fortitude during postpartum. I cannot recommend her enough as a trainer!

Ive had the pleasure of working with Alison for the past 2.5 years. I struggled with many injuries before that period and underwent 3 orthopedic surgeries, and was finding it difficult to rebuild strength on my own after Physical Therapy due to multiple weaknesses, imbalances, and lingering pain points. Alison was extremely helpful in designing custom plans targeted at my unique physiology and strength levels at the time. She pushes me to my limit often enough to see real changes but also knows how to keep me from overdoing it. She does really well with folks who are in pain somewhere, and can effectively prescribe the right combination of strength, self-massage, stretching etc. that will alleviate pain and target problems at their source. I rebuilt most of my previous strength relatively quickly, tripling or quadrupling the amount of weight I could initially lift in about 3-4 months.Alisons workouts target the body in a very dynamic way, and will improve your motion in nearly all planes, utilizing total body movements that accurately mimic real-life demands and athletic movements tailored to your sport of choice. She is constantly finding new ways to creatively challenge your body to learn to move in new ways and build increased coordination and awareness of your body and how it works.Her workouts span a large range of exercise modalities, from TRX to cardio to agility to free weights to barbell work to medicine ball work and beyond. She focuses a lot on recovery with self-massage and stretching as well, which has increased my flexibility and mobility a lot as well as help prevent injury. You will be a very complete athlete in short order!Alison also offers a wholistic approach to health with her training, with nutritional plans if you desire as well as plenty of other advice about sleep and other lifestyle changes that can help you be the best version of yourself.She has a finely tuned intuition for people, and understands what holds them back and what motivates them. She is always positive and empathetic, and it is a joy to spend an hour in her company every week. She will always hold you accountable to be sincere and dedicated to your goals, and wont let you slide or make excuses under her watch.Alison is also very responsive on text if you need advice with some new pain, have questions about a workout, etc. She is incredibly well organized.Thank you Alison for being the wonderful person you are and helping me and others on their way to strength, health, and well-being! I dont remember how we found Alison and Truve but Im thrilled that we did. Im 71 and my partner is 68 and we wanted a gym and a trainer who would work us hard but be knowledgeable and respectful of the challenges of keeping older bodies fit and strong. Alison listened carefully to our goals and concerns and set us up with Jenn. Working with Jenn is a delight - she knows her stuff and pushes me just enough. Every week she shows up with a different workout that keeps me on my toes - shes always fully present and responsive. As for the gym itself, once youve covered the basics like cleanliness and equipment quality (check and check), its all about the vibe - are you comfortable being there or not. Ive been a member of multiple gyms before and Truve is hands down the place Ive most enjoyed going. Do yourself a favor and give them a try.

Owner Alison Roessler is the best. So motivating and so much expertise. She curated a group training session 2X per week with other women I had never met before who were at the just the right fitness level level to push me, but not leave me in the dust, like when you find the just the right tennis partners to so you can play your very best while sill absolutely loving the experience. Alison is an awesome trainer. She takes the time to get to know what goals you have in mind and what results you are looking for to be able to gear your training on what will be best for you. Alison know how to engage you into your workout that encourages you to keep up the good work. She’ll definitely get a good sweat out of you and as long as you are consistent with your goals she will remind committed to making your goals happen. I am happy with my results thus far and will continue having her as my personal trainer. Alison always reminds me that it’s not only me working out, but making sure that I get a decent amount of hours of sleep, drink enough water and make sure that i get my fruits and vegetables in for the ultimate results that I want. I love that I can join workouts with Alison from the comfort of my home. I have been doing virtual workouts with Alison via zoom for more than 5 years, long before it became popular with the pandemic. I turned 69 this year and I am healthier and stronger than I was when I was 59. Beyond helping me feel strong in my body through strength training, Alison provides accountability and nutrition advice with her personal training. Alison is hands down the best personal trainer I have ever had. I have been working with her for years, and she has been the one to inspire me to stick with it for such a long time. As many others have stated, Alison has the skill, education, and determination to help you with your fitness goals. More than that, though, while she never lets you off the hook, she lets you be human. If you are having a bad day, have an injury, or arent feeling particularly well, she not only takes that into consideration, she lets you know its okay to not always be at 100%. This has actually made me more committed to working out with her, as I know she will meet me wherever I am at that day.

I’ve been seeing Alison for personal and/or group training for over two years. She’s exceptional. First, her experience and knowledge of fitness and nutrition are unparalleled, and her approach is balanced and tailored to what I need on any given day. She always starts our sessions asking me how I’m feeling and how my body is feeling and, if needed, will adjust my workout to accommodate.Alison offers as much or as little nutritional support as I want or need. There have been periods where I’ve sent her what I ate each day so she could help me balance my carbs, fats and proteins. I no longer do this, but we still discuss healthy eating habits, smoothie recipes and how to eat in a balanced way very often, if not every time I train with her. She’s incredibly supportive and knowledgeable without being pushy, which is awesome.The logistical flexibility Alison offers is a game changer for my hectic work schedule. I can see Alison at the gym or virtually using Zoom. At first, I was VERY hesitant to try a virtual workout. It just seemed like something that wouldn’t translate well to virtual (from in person). One week, my work schedule was such that I had to either do my session virtually or cancel it, so I gave it a shot! It was great - almost exactly like being in person. I now workout virtually with Alison 100% of the time.I am not someone who loves working out, but my workouts with Alison are enjoyable and sometimes even fun, as Alison is super funny and great to talk to. Her company makes the workouts go by quickly, which is an added bonus for those of us who don’t love working out.Before I found Alison, I had tried a couple different personal trainers. They were either inflexible (I got the impression they had a cookie cutter workout they used for every client, regardless of the needs), annoying or outrageously priced.Alison is amazing at what she does, and I’d recommend her to anyone, regardless of their workout needs!

Alison is, without a doubt, one of the most effective, educated, experienced health and fitness professionals. My wife and I saw incredible results with less effort and faster than we could have imagined. I have had trainers before – but Alison is gifted in a way that is difficult to describe. She is observant, and has a deep knowledge of exercises such that she can effortlessly switch things up to increase effectiveness, improve form, and guard against pain and injury. She is also smart enough to help you out-maneuver any psychological barriers. We have been working with Alison for a year and a half now, and would not consider a different trainer. Really, though, we were kicking ourselves for not calling her sooner. If you are looking for a trainer, your search has ended. Call Alison, you won’t regret it.

Alison is hands-down an amazing trainer! As someone with gym anxiety, she immediately made me feel comfortable in Truve. Not only is she great as assessing needs and listening to fitness goals, she is also a great communicator when it comes to why she is having you do certain exercises and what is happening in the body at the same time. She chooses fun exercises that fill any gaps you may be missing in your regular fitness routine or daily habits to create a well-rounded program for long-term sustainable health.She does an amazing job of completely filling the session with activity. If muscle burn and results are what you are looking for, Alison needs to be your go-to trainer. On a side note, she is also just an all-around awesome person to be around. 10/10 recommend.

Alison is a multidisciplinary personal trainer who has helped in so many facets of my health. She can personalize your health plan to suit your needs. I started seeing her because I have chronic back issues and she helped me rehab my ruptured Achilles. Working out with Alison is an honor and a pleasure...and also quite the challenge! But despite the challenge, Alison makes her workouts fun and full of variety. In her classes, youll find that youre capable of pushing yourself much harder than you may have thought. She provides modifications for different moves, along with helpful corrections to make sure your form is good, which helps prevent injury and maximizes the muscles youre aiming to work. The free, community bootcamp classes on Saturday mornings are how I first started with Alison, and I highly recommend anyone start by going to these, along with any other strength and cardio class Allison offers during the week.

I never thought I’d be one to spend money on personal training, but after an injury several years ago and a whole lot of weight gain, I decided to invest in myself. Alison changed my life, literally. I went from avoiding group fitness activities like hikes, or yoga because of shame about my abilities, to literally taking the lead in all those things. I became the strongest I’ve ever been and suddenly was able to do 8 mile strenuous hikes faster than my athletic husband and move to advanced yoga classes. Moving away to Southern California took a toll on my body due to not having Alison around. I can’t wait to have the chance to work with her again to be and feel my best self.

Alison is by far the most knowledgeable, dedicated and fun trainer I have ever worked with. If you want the science (I do) she will tell you all the hows and whys of the exercises. She can modify any workout to fit your needs. What I love the most is that she always keeps the workouts new and challenging. My fiancé and I currently train with Kalen, one of the trainers at Alison’s Truve Fitness.Highly recommend having him as your trainer!! He pushes you to do your best while respecting your limits. While I initially saw exercise as a means to an end (i.e: a fit body lol), Kalen has made me develop an intrinsic enjoyment for going through the motions of exercise. I always feel a sense of achievement after every class!Also just a super cool guy to chat with too :D

Marley is a wonderful trainer. She made sure the workouts were at the right level for me where I was challenged, but it wasn’t so difficult that I would want to give up. I always left the workouts feeling energized and good about myself! I also saw a noticeable difference in my strength within a couple months.
