This is my favorite place in the world! Ok, thats bold, but....I LOVE IT! It is clean and quiet. I try to go when it wont be too crowded, The staff is all business but friendly. It isnt a luxury spa, but it has amazing value for what you pay. I always get a service, so the amenities are included. The scrubs are AMAZING!!!! Especially when they throw the hot water on you and the shampooing!!!! Ive had 3 deep tissue massages with 3 different therapists, and they have all been incredible. If you dont mind being naked in front of other women....I HIGHLY recommend!!!
I absolutely love this place. I usually get the fusion or shiatsu massage and havent had a bad massage yet! I love that by paying for a service you get access to the day spa. I think that the best way to enjoy this place is to give yourself an hour or two more than your service is to get the full experience.I only wish that they provided some slippers for at least the washing room bc I dont want to get athletes foot. But otherwise 10/10 cannot recommend enough.
OMG!!!!! This place is phenomenal! Ok first off be prepared to be naked and see nakedness! I enjoyed a Day Pass for a mere $40. I stayed 4hours total. So they give you a locker key,1small towel and 1 large towel. I totally recommend you ask for 2 large towels . 1 to sit on in sauna rooms and 1 to keep in locker once you are ready to wash up and leave. Now go enjoy the dry sauna infused with herbs, steam room, ice bath, salt room floor to ceiling salt walls, and jet pool. The salt room has heated floors, this keeps the room nice and toasty. You totally must shower before hitting the pools. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided. Water is provided and a really nice tasting tea. There is a sand timer in the dry sauna room. No way to track time in steam room. Wall clock where the pools are. There is a small sand timer in the salt room. Once you are all done, there is a nice area to get freshen up before you head out! This place was awesome! I am only here visiting for work and so glad I found it!!!
Came here on a weekday in the afternoon. Nice and quiet. The spa has a hot and cold pool, as well as a steam room and dry sauna. The hot tub was not as hot as I had hoped and the dry sauna took a while to make me sweat. Overall, still not a bad spa experience though. The massages are quite the price, but definitely super comfortable. Great way to treat yourself on a rare occasion.
From start to finish, my experience was very pleasant. It was my 1st time there. I was surprised by my husband. I loved the facilities and the deep tissue massage given by Helen. I will definitely be returning. I will also be referring friends and family.
Got the Goddess Lavender and it is worth the price! My girlfriends and I were completely rejuvenated and relaxed after our session. We LOVED the moisturizing foil wrap after the body scrub! And the massages were excellent, I frequently get massages and this is one of the best I’ve had in a while. My technician was Michelle and she did a great job! One thing I would suggest is being a bit more gentle with the shampooing and facial!
Love the scrub downs and massages. The women’s side of the spa is quiet and has a hot tub, a cold plunge pool, a steam room, a sauna, and a Himalayan salt room. I took a year long break from this place because the receptionist was awful. It seems like she’s moved on because they are very pleasant again.
Massage therapist was unable to provide pressure required for deep tissue despite several requests to increasesThe therapist laughed and commented about my body during the sessionThe therapist had the door open enough that I saw people walk by and I asked her several times to close it enough for privacy.Felt very unsafe
Massage was great, spa and steam and salt so relaxing, and aveda products still smell wonderful in my hair! perfect birthday present for myself, so grateful
What can be a great experience is ruined by a few things:- Dry sauna is not hot enough, set at 170F. Needs to be at 180F.- Some people in the steam room seem to think it’s a pickup bar and can’t stay quiet.
Had the scrub and massage. 7/10But I went early morning and it was still moist and dirty!!Hot tub someones pubic hair and the cold plunge white cream from shaving 🪒 or somethingThe business doesnt seem to clean any of the facilities frequently.
The bliss package is amazing! I want to come back a few times a year and do that. Gina is the sweetest and I will keep going back to her. I love hanging around after the message and using the sauna, steam room and the cold bath. Lovely experience all around. Very relaxing.
Very clean traditional korean-style community spa, with separate male and female spas. No chitchat, this is the place to sweat, steam, bathe, and rejuvenate. Excellent lockers and great towel service. Very race-diverse when I was there, all body types, zero judgement. Will be headed here more often.
Excellent place to chill out. Hot tub, cold water pool, Eucalyptus steam room, red light dry heat sauna, Himalayan salt room AND options like massage and salt scrubs. Reasonably priced. ❤️❤️❤️
I lost my car in the middle of the night and tried to book through their website to ask for their help. I was going to make the reservation early the next morning, but the card payment screen came up first, so I completed the Yukisai and it was confirmed that they would come to my house right after that.Midnight was not convenient for me so I cancelled and they charged my card $80.
!!! Your staff and establishment are unbelievable!! So relaxing and enjoyable! Thank you so much to Alondra for being patient with my call to reserve and for finding me a spot last minute!Charlie was my technician and he was very professional and friendly, and a skilled massage therapist... I was transformed into a new person after the treatment, what a special treat to do for yourself or a loved one !!!
Pure Bliss - is what I experienced. 😀 The entire service by the scrubber, massager and facialist was phenomenal. The pools and dry and steam sauna were nice plus the salt room.I think that a nice area to sit at to relax would be nice rather than just one area where you stare at a wall. Otherwise, nice experience in South Bay.
Clean facilities. Friendly staff. Scrub was excellent. Not too crowded like other spas in the area where everyone is crammed into a small space.
I really enjoyed my body scrub at Immersion.Pros:Easy to book last minute servicesI appreciate them having robes for ALL sizes( I wish they did this with the towels)I absolutely loved the feeling of being taken care of and bathed. I honestly felt a bit like a baby because of the way they wash and dry your body.Especially love the Facemask(can I buy that anywhere?) and hair washing.Cons:I wish the space I received the scrub in had soft spa music, that the lights were dimmed and that there was an actual door instead of a sheet separating the service space with the common areas of the spa.I wish they would go over the rules with everyone. Quiet a few people were LOUD.
My mom and I went to get the Goddess experience since it was a birthday gift and let me say we had the best time ever. Every moment was so worth it. The 2 ladies who took care of us, were super polite and helpful. They kept a smile and maintained friendliness. It was a very very new experience to both of us but we enjoyed every moment there. We would recommend this package to anyone willing to get a full head to toe relaxation experience and we will also come back for more soon! Thank you for the experience!
Solid day spa. I liked the amenities of lockers, salt scrub run I, showers, sauna, steam room and cold plus warm Jacuzzi.Felt the Jacuzzi could have been scrubbed down more.During my massage I heard the plumbing and someone taking out trash.Sounds in the massage could be dampened.Overall a good experience for the price.
I love their scrub service. My skin became so smooth. The wrap is also very nice too.
I had the pleasure of experiencing my first ever spa visit, and I must say that Tina, my masseuse, made it an unforgettable and rejuvenating experience. Tinas knowledge and expertise were evident as she performed a calming and gentle body scrub, followed by a relaxing massage. Her hard work and dedication to her craft truly shone through. I left the spa feeling completely rejuvenated, and it was all thanks to Tinas exceptional skills and kind demeanor. I cant recommend her enough, and I look forward to returning for another amazing session in the future.
WOW! I got a Silky Scrub Plus (korean body scrub, massage, shampoo and milk rinse) with Yujin and it was fantastic! The whole experience, you get to use the jet bath or steam room before (which felt so cleansing for my lungs) and then I used the Himalayan Salt room after. The lotions smelt really good, Yujin was very thoughtful and the staff were all really nice! Such a cool experience, the only thing is it’s a bit $$ but I think for this area and the services & facilities it’s reasonable.
Be prepared to be naked and see other naked ladies entering the door after checking in at reception. There is a hot tub, showers, Himalayan salt room, tea, hair supplies, and lotion. The massage was out of this world! I had never had a massage where I was walked on. I highly recommend this once a year at least. The place is very clean and well maintained.
Great facility with sauna, steam room, hot and cold pools, salt room. Robes, towels, shampoo etc are all provided and everything is sparkling clean. I had a wonderful deep tissue massage.I was light headed after using the sauna and wished there was a chair in the pool area (I didnt want to put on a robe to go out to the dressing area). My only complaint is that if you have a massage, they ask you to not use the pools because of the oil from the massage, even if you promise to shower. I understand, but most places use the honor system. Anyway, Ill be back.
The facility is very clean, staff is friendly, and the massage/scrub therapist I had was fantastic.
I had the best massage of my life here. The deep tissue massage was perfect for my active weightlifting body. I had Anne as my masseuse, I think your experience can vary by masseuse. The space is very professional and clean. I checked in early to enjoy the hot tub then stayed for a while after for the different types of saunas. I would definitely recommend for women as it is a comfortable gendered spa.
It’s great that there are so many more Korean spa in the Bay Area now than ever before. I have been to many over last two decades in the Bay Area - my fav was the one off of Lawrence and El Camino. That one is now closed so I have been exploring other Korean spas in the area. I tried Immersion today on my bday but I wont be returning to Immersion spa. Why?1. The place is mighty small, and the sound echoes - if you hang with a friend like I did today, the voice however low echoed around in other small rooms for scrub etc. it’s not designed well and has very poor sound proofing. And every other time I have been to any other Korean spa, we are usually a much large group and nobody has even complained.. connecting while lounging is the very point, isn’t it? I certainly didn’t go there to meditate.2. Very very rude staff. The front desk girls ( granted they are not the managers or the owner) we’re super righteous in telling us - you guys were noisy. When I told them, that there sound proofing has issues, they felt compelled to tell us, quite rudely that they have hosted other large groups and never had any sound issues.. given how even our whispers were echoing in that small tiny space, I have doubts. Either ways, I didn’t pay $90+ to experience rude staff. Fortunately there are quite a lot of options with much bigger space, so choose that3. Unlike other Korean spa, they don’t have warm pool, their cold plunge is not a pool, really a small plunge, no gem room and overall felt cramped. So Immersion is more expensive with lesser facilities. So go elsewhere - save your money, get better facilities and experience nicer staff..The only saving grace - The person who did the scrub for me, Lynda was nice with good attitude.
Came for a couples massage and Julie my therapist was great. She was very strong and really worked out my tense areas I was really impressed. The locker area is a little bit small and felt crowded with three other people using it but other than that the whole place looks very clean, well kept, and had friendly staff. Will return again and utilize the amenities before going into the massage.
First time experience in Immersion being highly recommended by a friend. Enjoyed the steam and the salt rooms the most. The scrub my masseuse used smelled divine and the uplifting feeling after the procedure was truly rejuvenating. The scrub was followed by a 25 min body massage and a milk bath, which was strange, because it gets washed out of the body immediately. The masseuse kept changing the towels - I found it wasteful to not use the clean towels I entered her scrubbing cabin with. Although I understand these people work on commission and was happy to leave a tip, my total time including shower was 45 min (not 55) and I feel as body on a convair belt.
Ive been here a few times and always had a good experience. This time I saw Kelly and it was the best! She used the perfect amount of pressure in both the scrub and the massage. I got the silky scrub plus, and I had a long scrub, a heavenly massage, a facial massage, and a hair washing with scalp massage. I loved the pre-treatment amenities like the Himalayan salt room and alternating between the hot tub and the ice bath. They also have a wet and dry sauna, which I did not use. Im feeling great today!
The floor in the changing room is very slippery when it is wet. Not everybody pay attention to dry their feet before walking into that area. couple of times I slipped and I managed to hold myself! I think if I am allowed to wear my own slippers, I feel more secure. Overall cleanliness of place needs some improvement.
I hate to even give a review because I love this place so much and I don’t want it to get too busy! never do a typical massage again -immersion spa is the best experience that you’ll ever have- I will never pay to have a regular massage again-Every month I am going to treat myself to this wonderful experience and if you book after your appointment, you get an additional 5% off!!
My wife and I had booked this place to treat ourselves to a relaxing massage/sauna as our first wedding anniversary gift to each other and were very excited about the whole thing till we entered their facility.1. We were driving from San Jose to Palo Alto and were running late for our appointment by 5 to 10 minutes, so before we started our trip we called the front desk to ask if we needed to reschedule or if we would be accommodated even if we were late by 5-10 minutes. To which we were assured that it was not a problem.2. After having driven in peak traffic for 30 minutes, upon reaching the front desk 6 minutes late the first thing we were told was that since we were late, we would not get the full massage session. We were told we would be docked the time that we were late by. This was not what was told to us on the phone.3. When we questioned them on this because we could have easily avoided the drive to Palo Alto, the lady at the counter said that we could have had the full session if we were late by 5 minutes and not 6 or 7 (when we told her we had called to say we would be late by 5-10 minutes, we were told she had not heard us say 10 minutes and was given a My Bad as a reply). To top that, while were arguing this with the lady and finally decided to go ahead with the shorter session (we did not want to change our anniversary celebration plans), she actually told me that now the session would be 13 minutes shorter because we had spent the last 13 minutes talking to them and understanding our options.4. At this point, I told them to cancel my appointment but let my wife have the full session but the whole experience had soured our mood so much that we decided to cancel both our sessions and walked out. This was surely not the experience I was hoping for and mind you its not like this place is dirt cheap but I was not impressed by how unprofessional and dishonest the staff at this location is. I think we got fooled into thinking that this was one of the better spa places due to its location, however, we are very sure that we are taking our business somewhere else even if it costs more money.
This is my third visit when I am visiting Palo Alto - if I lived nearby I would go more often. Such care and attention - I always leave feeling wonderful!
Great massage therapists; terrible management/administration.I am a regular; today however I had 2 issues on the same day with the administrator. Contemplating if I should find another spa after this. It was a terrible experience, very embarrassing.First, I was trying to book my usual 7pm massage appointment online - this time works best for me. I am always doing it on weekdays - booking massage at 7, coming at 6 to relax in a sauna or a hot tub for an hour, and then have a 55 min massage. They close at 8.So, today I was trying to book my usual 7pm appointment at their website, and something didn’t work. I called them to ask if the booking went through, and the administrator told me that they don’t have a 7pm appointment, because they close at 7.45. I told her that this doesn’t make sense because I always book the appointment at 7pm. She was still trying to convince me that I was wrong, so I just said I will book online again and said good bye.I came at 6, spent some time at the hot tub/salt room, then went to massage at 7. In finished at 7.55, as usual. I went to the shower to quickly rinse off the oil after a massage. The administrator rushed to me, saying loudly that I need to go home, they are closed. I politely answered that it will take 30 seconds, and there is someone else in the shower anyway. She moved like she was going to body block me. I went anyway, I really don’t like to have oil stains on my clothes.A minute later when I was already dressing she came to the changing room to rush us again (there were 2-3 other ladies there as well). She said she is going to turn the lights off because they are closed.Never have I ever had such embarrassing experience, even at the grocery store cashiers would always let you finish the shopping after closing the doors. Let alone a spa where you are coming for a relaxing experience. I was never rude, I didnt say anything and was really rushing because I understand that people need to go home after work. But seriously, not allowing me to rinse the oil off after massage? Coming to the dressing room and saying you will turn the lights off?I wasn’t complaining when their ice pool wasn’t working for 2 months, when their sauna wasn’t working, I just kept coming. But after this unpleasant experience I will think hard before coming there ever again.
Facilities are great, Ruby also provides great service. Only took stars off because yesterday I made an appointment with Ruby, but instead was serviced by Gina. Pure bliss turned into pure torture. Apparently she was in rush, chaotically scrubbed missing out areas, chaotically and unprofessionally massaged. Very disappointing experience. Also facilities staff was very weird, came and began stare at me dressing up. Then grabbed my pants and started to ask where I bought them.
Outstanding body scrub! Phenomenal staff It’s such a great escape in the middle of Silicon Valley. I always walk out feeling super refreshed and relaxed. You won’t regret getting the Silky Scrub Deluxe. The warm milk finish is soo good.
Really delightful hot tub, sauna and cold pool. Its a treat to hop between the different temperature places before a massage. I went during the day during the work week and felt like I had the place to myself. I got the scrub+massage combo and thoroughly enjoyed it--felt very taken care of.
Not a spa or massage person (weirdo) but got a $200 gift certificate from a friend for my birthday so I thought Id book an appointment with all inclusive treatment with a price tag of $200.Arrived earlier as requested and got to use the facility. Started with jacuzzi hot tub and immersed myself in the ice cold pool for some pseudo cryotherapy then sauna and steam room. Enjoyed them all very much especially the cold pool.Korean body scrub performed by Linda and man I was dirty lol she scrubbed a whole layer of dead skin off me and I felt a pound lighter. The 100min treatment also included lavender body wrap, facial, and a massage. I enjoyed them all very much. This all inclusive service for $200 was totally a good deal and I forever changed my opinion or perception on going to spa or getting a massage. I plan to make this a regular thing.
Excellent facilities. Excellent massage. Hard working employees.
I loved this place! But they rly need to keep up the cleaning. More frequently and deeper
The workers did their job perfectly and were very polite. but during my massage it was too loud in the jacuzzi. as if someone had a party there. too loud conversations and laughter that did not allow to relax and enjoy the massage.
Clean and inviting spa. The scrub and seaweed wrap was fabulous. My skin feels wonderful. I plan to treat myself to a scrub more often as a part of my self care plan. I have told all my girlfriends they need to come get a scrub at Immersion Spa.
I think its a beautiful and well run place
Yes to everything! Relaxing banya experience and wonderful Fusion massage. I was blissed out af afterwards.Hesitant to review in case this gem becomes too popular!
The environment is amazing and the staff is wonderful. My favorite place to go and unplug
Been here several times now and gotten different masseuses, but all the massages have been some of the best I’ve had. They really get deep into getting knots out, and are extremely skilled in massage techniques. The facility is a bit small but has everything you need. Prices are also very fair for the services you get.
Really enjoyed my time here. It was worth the money for sure. I can see why it would get crowded easily, its not a large place. I felt the salt room was a bit too warm. You definitely need to drink the hot tea they have!
The spa area is no bigger than what you’ll find at gold gym/LA fitness shower area. It consist of 5 plastic chairs, and no rest area. Apparently talking is not allowed as it disturbs the body scrub session 🤷♂️Definitely not worth $40.
Went in a Wednesday at 2pm. Front desk staff were friendly and tentative. Place was clean. It wasn’t busy at the time. May be only a couple other people there. I pretty much had the whole room to my self. Got the fusion message The massage was very relaxing. The walls were thin so I can hear everything outside. No a big deal though. They have tea and water available as well as toothbrush and lotions. The price is pretty reasonable.
Front desk is nice and so is the other staff. Sometimes there is a language barrier but they do a good job. Grout is a bit dirty in some areas, the floor of the tub has sediment from its walls and seats, and the steam room has water that drips from the ceiling cause their isnt a slight angle to direct it. No shoes are allowed inside but staff are all walking around with shoes and no covers on. Besides those things. You will be left with nice staff, good scrub, massage, wrap, and products used on you. Youll always come out with beautiful soft skin. Just do a little post protrction to your feet afterwards just in case.
It was a great experience, first time I visited the spa and it was great! Thank you
First experience here. It will not be my last. I loved every minute of my visit and was treated with kindness by every person I encountered while there. I will definitely recommend Immersion Spa to others. Thank you for providing such a lovely environment for rest and relaxation.
Not very clean in locker room area. Steam room was ok so is the cold and hot tubs. Overall the place is ok. Natalie help me at the front desk, she was very nice and helpful, not the same experience with the other young lady, she was quite RUDE went I got in and very much the same way as I was leaving the Spa. TO THE OWNERS: If you dont want to lose customer you really need to hired a more service oriented helpers.
Ive been to this spa several times in the past few years, and Ive enjoyed the experience every time. I had a great experience chatting and checking in with the front desk, and the massage that I came in for was incredibly relaxing. I usually do a full scrub and massage, but I decided to keep it simple and signed up for the deep tissue massage. Helen was the staff member who worked on me, and she was very very thorough. Ive never had someone walk on my back before, and even the stretches were so satisfying (back cracking!) If I lived in the area, I would be coming in much more frequently! By far my favorite spa in the Bay Area!
Love, love, love and looking forward to next time. Had all the elements of a Korean spa in an easily accessible location.Spoiler alert if you’ve not been to a Korean bath house before: it’s traditional to be in the buff.I had the scrub + massage combo. Masseuse was terrific, working with the muscle fibers instead of fighting against them, which sometimes leaves me bruised and sore. It’s amazing how much dead skin is removed. O_O Maybe don’t peek at that :-PThe facilities are super clean. Love the Aveda tea you can sip in between dips in the hot or cold tubs. I can only manage a quick minute in the cold pool but it does help with inflammation.
Front desk staff were friendly and professional.Spa facilities were clean and organized even during a holiday.Lee, my masseuse, was patient, helpful, and gave me the best massage Ive ever had (been to Burke Williams, Mandara Spa in Maui, Massage Envy, etc).I had the Pure bliss package and it was amazing! My mom had the same and she loved it as well!
This spa is small but pack with features and facilities with hot spa, steam room and massage facilities. The massage is not cheap but quality is amazing with high quality massage oil. I don’t have problem with making booking and staff are very friend. Tips are cash only.
The place is pretty small, gets crowded on the weekend.Takes a while for the sauna and steam room to get hot when people are walking back and forth.Icy cold pool and the jade room is a good addition. Good value for $40
Best salt scrubI really like Charlie. He made me feel comfortable and I feel so rejuvenated today. I want to plan another visit soon
First timer at a Korean scrub spa with seaweed wrap. Definitely recommend. Facility is clean. Friendly staff. You can spend as long as you like. Theres a jacuzzi thats recommended prior to the scrub. Thats an ice cold pool for you to switch back and forth to. A steam room, sauna, and a salt room. I wish I came in after lunch so I can spend all afternoon. My appt was at 11. I arrived at 1015. Spent 30 minutes in the jacuzzi soak with intervals of the cold pool before my number was called. Got my scrub. Felt 10lbs lighter after all the dead skin was removed. She also gave me a light massage, had massage and shampoo and conditions my hair. Then she wrapped me in the seaweed foil... felt like a Christmas ham. Lol.After, I spent a good 10-20 minutes in each room. All so clean. Everyone was very respectful of each other. Of note, all the staff are fully vaccinated. I got hungry towards the end so I left around 130. They have aveda hair products, lotions, etc available for you to use. There are hair dryers, disposable tooth brushes so you can look presentable leaving the facility. I can imagine it being crowded on the weekends so if you get an opportunity, go during the week.
Worst massage of my life. There was a ton of pinching and scratching during the rub down, which was done 50% over a towel and just putting pressure on my back. It was super bad. There were times I wanted to get up and leave. My masseuse was definitely not professionally trained and I wont ever be returning
Overall, I don’t think it’s worth coming here for a day pass anymore. Years ago, day passes used to be $30 and now it costs $40 to use the amenities. Sure, inflation is on the rise- and I’m sure their rent has also increased. However, I would expect the level of the amenities to improve- rather than go down as the price goes up. Before, they used to serve a delicious corn tea- and now they only have water.Occasionally, the jets in the hot tub won’t work- and during Covid they had a strange 2 hour time limit which fortunately they no longer have now but it seemed like a very strange, arbitrary rule to enforce. It’s a very clean facility - I used to go here regularly for years, but I’m not returning after they raised their price again without any visible improvement.
It was great! Nice staff, I really enjoyed all the amenities, everything was clean and organized. Will definitely come back.
It went well, place is clean and neat. Facilities are well maintained.Appointment started on time and i felt the person did a good job
First time here and I have to say it was well worth it. I like that its has a small capacity and comes with a time limit. Thats perfect for me. A little hot tub use to relax the muscles and steamroom to open up my lungs. I had a body scrub too. First time, it wasnt as intense as Ive heard. Either that or i have tougher skin 😂 either way it was great and like how my skin felt after. Also had a deep tissue massage. That right there was hands down the beat Ive ever had. If you get a deep tissue massage i recommend asking for Helen if you need tough strong hands. It was as intense as warned. I had all my tough knots taken out so i was very impressed. Will go again and will recommend to others.
First time visit today. Left feeling more relaxed than I’ve felt in years! Something about the combination of the body scrub and massage with the sauna and steam room after worked wonders! Definitely coming back!
Good sauna and steam room, efficient salt room -only one, but a good size. Spacious bed clean changing room, water and tea from a thermos. Changing into a gown upon arrival, no flip flops.
Updated March 2022:Immersion spa remains to be my go-to spa in the area. Love their massages of various styles. But Ive seen more clients talking loudly in the spa. Comments like this in the country easily get associated with racism.. but Ive seen women of different colors - white, yellow, brown - talking in the tub, in the steam room.If you would love to catch up with your friends, may I suggest other venues like a bar or restaurant, or a private spa room? Please try to be a little more conscious about other people around you sharing the same space.======Updated December 2021:This has been my go-to spa in the south bay area. They provide really good massages and Korean scrubs. The Aveda products used here are a highlight.I take one star off mainly for two reasons:- It is not rare to encounter loud clients here. That could be quite annoying when youre trying to relax your nerves. I hope more people learn the basic spa etiquette.- The steam room and dry sauna room are on the smaller end. On weekends they get packed very easily.Overall it is a nice Asian style spa!
Came here on my bday as a treat and I loved it. Staff were super friendly, helpful, and accommodating.Upon entry youre given a key. Keep this on you as its for your locker. They also provide you with a bath towel, but I noticed theyre on the small size. Im a 27in waist and it just fit me.You shower before using any of the facilities, but they have steam rooms and saunas and hot tubs galore.Theres a $25 entrance fee if you dont buy a service but theyll waive it if you get a massage or scrub. Its a Korean spa so theyll be known for the full body scrub. Youll leave with skin so baby soft! Its small so expect it will get crowded during popular times on weekends but on a Monday morning I was the only one there for the majority of the time. Thats fun.
First off, let me say this to those of you who think this is a place for peace and relaxation. Its not! This is a Korean Bath House; their massages are, for the most part, deep tissue and they dont treat you the same way a European spa would, where you expect sweet gentle whispers from your masseuse. I hate it when people dont understand the culture of things and then complain about it later. They are very direct and you just take it or dont. If youre not happy with something, tell them up front. This place is always amazingly clean and well stocked with amenities. You go in and free-bird it all, so dont be shy. Their scrubs will take off 2 layers of skin, which will leave you amazingly smooth. They will lather you with oil, making you even smoother! Definitely take advantage of the saunas, jacuzzi, and cold plunge pool prior to your treatment. Love my visits here!
This place is absolutely amazing! It was my first experience having a Korean style scrub, so I was a little unsure of what to expect, but it was great, and my skin is absolutely glowing! Everyone made me feel very comfortable and welcomed. I also really enjoyed the amenities that were included with my service, especially the salt room. I will definitely be back! :)
I went for my birthday and came out so refreshed with the softest skin of my adult life. Highly recommend the Pure Bliss Plus with Kay, but honestly Im sure theyre all great. So relaxing, soothing, welcoming! Definitely on my list to come back before my next beach vacation.
The sauna is not bad, the service is good, but the heat is very low and it is very cold in the sauna. There is a salt room Jacuzzi with hot water.
My favorite spot! Consistently great service and extremely clean amenities.
Your skin feels like a babys after the scrub! First time I did it I was nervous thinking it would hurt but I ended up loving it. Clean and well maintained facilities. Sauna, steam room, salt room.. all fabulous.
This was my favorite spa to visit when I worked in Menlo Park! If Immersion Spa had a location in San Francisco (where I currently live), I would choose it over any other local Korean spas, which is high praise. I have patronized many spas, Korean and otherwise, and Immersion Spa offered the best of all worlds: convenient location, ample parking, easy booking, easy billing, clean facilities, friendly staff, and incredible services that are appropriately priced. Worth every penny! It is not a luxury spa like Cavallo Point, but they are not charging Point prices. It is also not a run-down spa like so many others out there - it is a solid well-maintained and updated mid-tier spa perfect for weekly patronage with prices to match (and service / cleanliness far above what I would expect / that rivals high end spas)It was telling that I patronized their business weekly despite the small inconvenience of getting cash from an ATM down the street due to their cash-only tip policy :) If you can get me to regularly go to an ATM, you must be doing something right... that would normally be a deal breaker for me.I work primarily in San Francisco now and I dearly miss my evening visits to Immersion! If youre in the area, treasure this gem!
The scrub and massages are quite nice, but they started to employ college kids for the front desk with no supervision. Probably good kids but they have apparently no training in customer service. Sound like drill sergeants and can be quite rude. Really hurts the experience unfortunately, so much so that I am considering not going back.
This was my second visit and the first one was about 1.5 years ago. Enjoyed my spa package both times. The place was clean and very quiet (both times weekdays). Though not very big, it has sauna, jacuzzi, steam room to be used before the spa treatment. The staff was friendly and my professional spa lady worked non-stop during the 1.5 hours of treatment.
The front desk greeted my friend and I upon arrival that was followed by a quick check in, the facility was clean and easy to navigate, and the staff was friendly. I had a wonderful experience with my body scrub and the technician assigned was quick, thorough, and very attentive.
Ive gone a couple times within the past month and Ive loved my experiences here. Its korean style so keep that in mind. Each area was very relaxing. My favorite being the jacuzzi and salt room. Thank goodness its nearby my work because Ill be coming here alot :) . First time i was here i got the Swedish massage, which I didnt think was bad but not much better than what i can get for $30 at a foot spa. Go figure. Ill skip the massages here and go with the day pass for just the amenities.
Im surprised there arent more places like this as it is a perfect and essential minimal spa experience. I enjoyed a body scrub for the first time and found it to be both relaxing and invigorating. My skin is amazingly soft following the scrub. I like the cleanliness of the spa overall; it appears well kempt and grime/mold free. The steam sauna was very relaxing. The hot tub was enjoyable although the chlorine fumes are a bit unpleasant, although understandably necessary. The ice plunge is a great amenity, as it is very invigorating with the heat. Overall, its a great experience.
The locker, bathroom and mirror area was dirty with hair, no lotion, I didnt fill comfortable to walk bare foot specially after I took a shower. At least you guys can provide sandals to customers. And other thing I got disappointed because when my bf bought gift card for me the pure bliss was $150 and when I got there I had to pay $10 extra tabs top of that $20.
I like this place and will keep going back, so 5 stars. Honestly though there’s better spas in the Bay Area, but those are a father drive for me. Convenience matters!
I love this place but be careful if you have sensitive skin. I have eczema, the coco mango left no effects, but the seaweed did give me hives.
I havent had a massage over a year so I am so grateful to find this place. I enjoyed being able to have a spa day and then get a massage. It was good enough that I booked a second session with specific request so that I can customize my needs well see how that goes. It was nice. it was clean, quiet and refreshing.
Great Korean Spa experience! Clean and well managed.
A fairly small but very clean Korean-style sauna. I took the day pass, so can only comment on the sauna and jade room. The sauna area is well lit, and the water was clear. You could hear fairly calming music throughout the room. In that sense, it felt like a place to mediate, rather than a place to socialize. The atmosphere reminded me very much of Kabuki Springs and Spa in San Francisco. For someone used to a more rough-and-tumble Korean-style sauna, it might be a little too sterile for their tastes.Theres a warm spa as well as a cold dip, and both were good to soak in. The dry sauna could stand to be a bit hotter, and the steam sauna could stand to be a little less hot. The jade room, the heated room outside the sauna, felt comfortable to lie down in, with the floor radiating heat from below. In all, I liked it.
Top tier service and one of the nicer and cleaner spa. Make sure to arrive early to make most of all the facilities. Love soaking in hot tub before my Korean bath. I feel 5 lbs lighter after shedding all those dead skin cells. They may not be as good at massage and facial as they are at Korean Bath.
Great and clean facilities. Customer service needs improvement. The quality of massage my wife experienced was just OK- and she knows this because she has been in different spas in the Bay Area.
I loved this place, it’s a smaller size, but has everything you need to relax. I had scrub with Monica and she did an amazing job. Will definitely come again.
My Pure Bliss Plus massage and scrub were amazing. Thank you, Ms Lee. I always feel like a holistically healthy but also slightly pampered princess when I leave. I love Immersion Spa. 💙Pro tips: Go at least an hour early so you can do the soak tubs, saunas, and such before your procedure since you dont do them afterwards. And take your own hair conditioner if you have a strong preference. Theyll use it when they wash and massage your scalp!Oh yeah, and Korean spas are all nude facilities and not gentle when it comes to the body scrub. But youre skin will never feel softer afterwards... if you can tolerate it! 🧡 They do separate the biological males and females so no worries on that!
Friendly staff, clean, quite and relaxing. You are given a key(with your service number), small & large towel, Remove shoes upon entering the quite area, grab spa robe in all sizes, large lockers, shower before and after entering any of the amenities steam, dry sauna, cold plunge and hot tub. Traditional Korean showers with mirror, stools, round bucket, hand held sprayer as well as stand up showers, Korean soap bar, shampoo, conditioner and body in every stall. I got the pure Bliss Body Treatment Tina she is very professional. Not for the modest type, all services are provided by female staff.
One of the best deep tissue massage I ever had. Name of the masseuse was Cindy. The facility is really awesome. Great hot pool, steam and sauna. Totally relaxing
I had a wonderful experience at Immersion Spa! Immaculate facility, dedicated staff, relaxed atmosphere, everything I was looking for (salt/sauna/steam) and an excellent massage by Cindy.,
Masseuse Jessica highly skilled and poweful, found and worked out all the muscle knots. Excellent massage, steam, sauna. I did body scrub + 85 min massage = vigorous & healing. My skin feels years younger.
I absolutely loved the amenities to use before my spa treatment and my massage was incredible! Just what I needed after running the Boston Marathon 😊 Will definitely be back!
The silky scrub treatment is wonderful + unique; set aside at least 30 min. before to enjoy the steam + sauna facilities. You’ll emerge feeling smooth + refreshed!
First time going and it was a new but definitely unforgettable experience. Took my mom for her birthday, she was so relaxed almost fell asleep twice. Next I will be going at least 40 minutes before my appointment to take advantage of the hot tub!
3.5 Stars.First experience in a Korean bath house. The front desk was helpful with booking and upon check in. The spa area is clean! The salt room is a plus! Hung out and sweat and did yoga in there after my treatments. The sauna and steam room were both great. Jacuzzi and cold plunge clean. Now I did the Pure Bliss. The scrub was unlike anything Ive ever experienced. Im used to scrubs with vichy showers, this is nothing like that. These ladies scrub you down hard, and dont miss a single piece of skin. I questioned silently where the water was coming from that she would splash on me periodically. She used a plain soap bar, which smelt like dial lol...My skin however is so soft. The massage is far from a comforting massage. Its more like a rough reflexology treatment. Ill need to schedule at Burke Williams stat for a real massage. All in all, an interesting experience. I dont know that Ill be back unless Im feeling extra dry skin for another scrub. (Maybe)Cheers!
I like the staff and facilities at the Immersion Spa. When I leave I feel great. I recommend the scrubs and the massages different from what you find elsewhere - but that’s what makes it a great place.
The massage was decent, but overall the entire experience felt very clinical. No atmosphere, people talking in the pool area made it hard to relax. Theyre also very aggressive about tipping which throws you off at the end of a massage.
This used to be a nice place, but the greed of the management is destroying it. The place became dirty and unpleasant, at least the men’s part of it. They used to have warm tea for guests but now its just an empty shelf and water from the fountain. They now limit the use of towels to 1 medium and 1 tiny towel per person - no more towels on the shelves. Because the place is so dirty, I had to bring my single-use clean new slippers to the place, but the person working there in a very rude manner told me I cannot wear them. I just left after 30 minutes and will never come back. It is so sad to see the place I liked so much become so dirty and unpleasant.
My wife and I had a couples massage here and we could not have been more disappointed! The masseuses were not friendly at all. They were quite comfortable though as when my wife came out of the locker room one of the the masseuses was laying out completely on the massage table she was about to get a massage on texting. They didnt introduce themselves, they literally just pointed at the beds and said, Lay down! Ive never been to a spa that the masseuse didnt introduce themselves, ask your preference for pressure and problem areas, or at least smile and say hello. While there was relaxing music playing, that was quickly drowned out by the repeated text alert tone from one masseuses phone while the others vibrated away constantly on the counter. Pretty funny for a place that has No Phones Allowed and Turn Your Phone Off signs all over the place for guests. It became evident as soon as the massage started that these are not trained professionals. The massage itself was quite miserable. Half of the time they left the sheet over you and massaged you through the sheet. It would have been better if the sheet wasnt as rough a cheese grater; I thought that was the point of massage oil. Eventually the massage oil came out, and it didnt stop. Ive never felt more like a Little Caesars Hot-N-Ready pizza in my life. Im surprised this place hasnt gone bankrupt from the amount of oil they must have to buy. Finally when the massage was over (which we were both happy about) we exited the room, not to be greeted with a cup of water or a, How was it?, but with a little envelope to place our tip in. Nothing says, You owe me a tip because Im an entitled brat. quite like that. To say the least we will NEVER be back here. If youve ever had a decent massage anywhere and are thinking about coming here, please think again!
Nice spa with a sauna, stream room, cold and hot tubs and a warm-floor room. Good overall. It is really weird and against hygiene that they forbid wearing sandals/slippers inside. The receptionists are friendly. The guy whos watching inside - not so much, since his job is do not let people wear sandals, haha.
Had my first Korean scrub today and it was amazing! Not for the prudish or faint of heart—this is no gentle treatment, but wow do you feel radiant afterwards. After a warm up in the steam room you’re whisked off for the scrub (fully au naturale) where you get exfoliated from head to toe. All of the products felt amazing, and apparently it’s all naturally derived. There’s also massages and a collagen mask, and to finish it all off you get a total body seaweed wrap. I was wrapped up like a burrito and left to warm and set. My skin feels wonderful and fresh and healthy afterward, and my circulation is definitely improved. Great spa experience!
Would put no stars if possible - horrible customer experience. My husband and I really tried to like this place because of the convenient location but money is better spent elsewhere. Had a few things happen multiple times: 1) Therapists dont speak any English, so cant tell them focus areas or pressure requests, 2) Therapist requested was switched out for another one without any warning, causing a very awkward situation in the room once already undressed, 3) Facilities (like sauna, jacuzzi, etc.) broken and we werent informed when making a same day appointment. When talking to the management about these things, the only reply was that if we are so dissatisfied with the service, we should stop coming.
I got a scrub and massage and it was such a nice experience. Smaller spa but clean and welcoming very peaceful. The scrub was absolutely incredible!
Good quality massage and good spa facilities including Dry and Steam sauna, hot tub, Jade room, ice water plunge
The time communicated to me was 6.45. After reaching there the front desk said, it was 6.30 and it was communicated wrongly to me as the shop closes at 8. I have booked 1.5 hours of fusion massage. I lost my time and since 7.30, music was off and I just heard cleaning sound and very unpleasant. They rushed to finish by 7.55 itself though they started late. Its a total rip off of myMoney
I’ve been coming here for 3 years and I should’ve done a review way earlier. I only come for the massages and I highly recommend Kim. She massages myself and my husband and has been for a long long time. I’ve always done fusion massage because I need the variety and my body is usually tense.Friendly staff and always a clean facility. Seriously always ask for Kim when you want a massage.
I made an appointment for a 90-minute deep-tissue massage. 10 minutes into the massage, the masseuse asked me whether it was too strong, I replied that it was not strong enough. After 20 minutes of being caressed and pinched through a sheet, I got up and left. One cannot do a deep-tissue massage through a sheet, ones hands slip. I am reasonably muscular and wanted a strong massage, focusing on specific sore spots, but the masseuse did not ask even me for instructions. When I first came in, one woman put me in the wrong room, then came to me and barked, you! change room! It took me a few seconds to realize that she was actually addressing me (although she was hitting my arm while saying this). When I left, I talked to the very young person at the front desk who said she was the manager. She was not even looking at me as I explained the situation and her only comment was OK. I left more tense than I came in and it cost me $140.I responded to their “we hope you enjoyed your visit” email with the text above. They offered a belated apology, but it did not address the main issue, namely that the massage was not deep tissue. They offered a partial refund and a discount on my next massage — I took the former but not the latter.
They are confused with the numbers, and was not invited for a massage, accordingly missed the time. I paid for an hour, and got massage was only 20 minutes which stayed. The massage with feet and not with hands, that it is why, the massage is not pleasant it was very painful. There are no normal large towels, only baby towels. its just money down drain.
Wonderfully clean bright and relaxing Korean spa with fantastic massages. Get a spa pass and come at least 45 minutes before any other services to enjoy the hot tub, cold plunge, sat room, steam room and sauna.
So clean! Fairly spacious, and during the day it’s beautifully bright. The staff are very friendly. I go typically for spa use and have not yet had a service but am looking forward to trying. Very peaceful experience always.
Hot tub was shipped with a recalled part and they will not assist us in fixing their broken hot tub. Hot tub leaks because the pipe is leaking and has been recalled. We installed the hot tub in January and broken in February and down ever since. We have to find a company to come and fix the recalled part which they knowingly shipped to us. And this is below ground so we have to dig up our newly finished patio and landscaping. Do not use this company!
After years of not being able to access a Korean Spa, living in a remote area, this was just what I wanted. Park worked out years of dead skin and tight back muscles! They had all the soaps, lotion and even tooth brushes you need to feel fresh!
Massage, sauna, steam room, and pools are all great
To sum up my experience in just a one word review: Ouch!!!Came here with my girlfriend for a relaxing spa day. She got a massage while I got a nice scrub down. From the moment I walked in, I emphasized and repeated multiple times over that I had a healing wound on my left knee and for them to avoid that area. The staff there moved my appointment back by 15 minutes so I could have more time to soak, which I greatly appreciated. However, my esthetician hovered over me like a hawk and I felt very rushed and pressured to start my session early. The woman who was scrubbing me down was not very gentle at all. Before I got on the table, I pointed to the exact spot on my leg for her to avoid and she said she would not go near it. However, throughout our session, I noticed she was not being mindful and I had to remind her a couple times. Well, long story short, she ended up scrubbing not just all over it, but to the point of completely removing my newly formed scab and causing it to bleed. I had to ask the front desk for a bandaid.Upon checkout, I did not complain but the owner backhandedly tried to blame me for the situation by saying that I should have told them about my injury even though I did.The scrub was refreshing, I really liked the facility here, and the Aveda products are great. However, they were not very careful with me and the blame game left a bad taste in my mouth.
Disrespectful to their customers and lack of willing to solve the problem of security in their place. My shoes were stolen. Ive never faced with such a bad attitude. You didnt even need to give me money for my stolen sneakers, you couldve just propose some free visits to your place to keep your customer, who was humiliated after visit to your sauna, coming in nice new sneakers and leaving in some ugly flip flops. And they gave me flip flops only after my kindly request. They even didnt try to show that they really cared. Were not responsible for stolen items - they told me. They have special shoe shelf at the door where everybody leaves their outdoor shoes. But shoes can be stolen. Never come back to this place.
This place blew my mind. Clean, serene, amenities were phenomenal and service was out of this world. Staff was incredibly professional, products were nice, I felt like a new woman after my scrub. So so great.
This was my first time back since COVID-19 became a thing. Immersion Spa, I love you but please get your policies in place. Upon checking in, I was told to wear my mask around other clients and that I could leave it off if nobody was around which was the current COVID guidelines. I wore my mask in the locker area and the hot tub when people showed up, but no other client did.In situations where someone takes their masks off, like say a facial or the dentist, people are asked to swish around mouthwash for a minute to keep covid spread to a minimum. I wish you would do this. I wish you would enforce wearing masks during the entirety of the visit. I wouldnt have booked my treatment if I realized yall were this lax.
I love this place for both the massages and the spa facilities. The spa is segregated by gender and bathing suits are prohibited. If youre uncomfortable being naked, you can wear a robe or towel, but probably would want to stick to dry elements (sauna and steam room) instead of the tubs. The cold tub is freezing, I have to cool off in the showers before getting in and still I have cold shock. But its great for alternating between hot and cold, which I prefer to do with sore muscles. The massage therapists are very effective. In some cases they actually walk on your muscles and back, which is perfect for me. There are bars on the ceiling for them to balance and to take weight off of sensitive areas.
Toasty sauna and steam room, though kinda small. Other amenities clean and convenient.
Run away! Dirty, overcrowded facility. Mediocre, inconsistent massage. Authoritarian and discriminatory cashierGo to watercourse way if you want a day spa experience, and sawadee Thai massage if you want professional massage. Immersion spa, despite being my go to spa and massage place for being close to me, is sadly no longer a viable choice. The facility is extremely dirty. The spa area is full of drainage hair and dirty bath water everywhere. At the dry area, the floor is sticky with oil and hair. The water in the jacuzzi is muddy. It has as much as 3X the chlorine as your standard swimming pool now. I felt itchy even after rinsing two times. There were around 7 people in the spa area at the time. Very crowded.Helen was the only ok therapist. Everyone else do their massage differently. Some barely use any force, some bruise you, others have sms texts coming in non stop.Cashier is authoritrian and discriminatory. Instead of apologizing for her staff yanking my phone from my hand during my last visit, despite the fact that it was on silent and I wasnt talking, she decided to profile me and tailed me everywhere. Wow.This is my last visit here. I will be going to watercourseway and sawadee Thai exclusively now. Given the high price, you would expect better service and better facility. Unfortunately neither is present.
The place has cold and hot baths, dry and stream rooms, no relaxation room with TV, no normal temperature bath. It is much smaller compared to Lawrence spa, but since Lawrence got closed I can recommend this as an alternative. Pros: It is cleaner and look better, cold bath is really cold.
Im a k-spa junky and this place is the Americanized, Burke Williams version of Korean Spas -- high-end, eco-friendly facility with brand name hair, face & body products, and a very clean and modern pool/shower area. Not so much the traditional family vibe at this k-spa, like it is at Lawrence Health Center in Santa Clara. The crowd here is more the professional Silicon Valley women type, here to unwind after a long day grinding away at work. The facility is small, especially the steam room, but it gets the job done. Ill be back. :)
My sister brought me here as a gift for my birthday. I had a baby 4 months earlier and this was absolutely the most perfect and wonderful relaxing experience to recover from child birth. I left feeling rejuvenated and clean.
Clean, elegantly simple, Korean spa with all the standard amenities done right - dry sauna, steam room, hot tub, ice bath, salt room, ample showers, generously high quality bath products provided, robes, towels, hot tea, water cooler, hairdryer, body lotions, hair care products. And of course, added spa treatments. I adore this spa and whenever Im in South Bay, thats where I will be at the end of the day.
Small but mighty! A great, affordable, convenient respite when you don’t want to spend the time or money going to a big spa in the city or wine country. The scrubbies are the best and the salt room is divine!
Sauna, wet sauna, Jacuzzi, scrub, cold plunge - love the place! If you are getting service, bring cash for tips.
I will never come back here.I had the massage booked at 3p, and an email to prove it. When I went in for my massage, the therapist was still working on another customer. I went to the front desk, who then got the therapist to move on and reset for her next client. The massage therapist the proceeded to chide me for interrupting her previous client, and insisted that I got my appointment time wrong. I politely told her I have an email confirming my 3p appointment. She tskd at me and continued to dismiss my claim like I was a child. This exchange put me in a negative mental space for the rest of the massage, and I found meeting unable to relax into the experience because I no longer trusted the therapist.I can here and paid good money to refresh and rejuvinate. Instead, I was belittled, put down, and dismissed by the therapist. I do not plan to subject myself to that kind of abusive treatment again.
Tina and all the staff were very lovely on my first visit to see you, I loved the ambiance as well. The services were phenomenal! A very comfortable and rejuvenating experience!
Overall, I wouldnt recommend this place due to its horrible lack of basic hygiene. According to their policy, customers are not allowed to use flip flops that are specifically designed for use in a spa. However despite this, they seem to turn a blind eye when customers walk into to the locker room with street shoes. I am pretty sure that due to this, one of my friends contracted foot fungus. My friend and I tried to reason with the staff about my flip flops, however the staff member rudely told me that she would throw me out if she would catch me with the flip flops again. This policy is entirely contradictory to maintaining proper hygiene and is entirely illogical.
You can definitely go to Immersion to luxuriate in a clean steam room and hot tub and enjoy a massage-- just dont expect it to be exactly like a Western-style spa. ]What you will get: a no-nonsense therapist who will methodically work on your body, possibly removing an entire layer of skin.Youll arrive at the facility and be taken to your genders area, removing your shoes and receiving towels and a robe. The womens spa area is no-clothing and has a salt room, steam room, dry sauna, hot tub, and cold plunge. The hot tub and steam room are both really warm, and the salt room is a little more mild. If you opt for a Silky Scrub, its suggested that you steam or soak for 15 minutes before your treatment so your skin is all primed to be scrubbed. When its time for your scrub, the therapist -- wearing a black swimsuit -- will come out to the hot tub and call your locker number. Youll follow her back into a stall about the size of 2 large showers with a laminated cushioned table where you will lay down, fully naked. Your therapist will get to work on scrubbing off the dull, dead skin, periodically rinsing you off with warm water. If you got the Silky Scrub Plus, after 30 minutes of scrub, your therapist will direct you out to the showers for a quick rinse before you get your mini-massage. Youll return to your shower stall and lay down onto your laminated table, again. The mini-massage starts out with a dry massage and then transitions into a super slick massage on your newly buffed skin. Your scrub ends with a luxurious shampoo/scalp massage, and your therapist will put your long hair into a sweet bun with a towel. If you opt for a standard massage, the therapist will come retrieve you (or you enter yourself? This has been unclear for me) from the locker room area. The standard massages are done in rooms outside of the wet spa area. You have the option of having your back gently walked on -- highly recommend if you can brave it! My therapist adjusted my back in a way that only a chiropractor had been able to before; these ladies know what they are doing.A few things to note: they ask that you dont use the hot tub or steam after a scrub because youre all lotion-y/oily, tips are cash-only, and phone usage is not allowed in the locker room/spa area. You can call the front desk to request more towels if you need.
The sauna is not bad, but the service is terrible - no towels, no robes, no tea (anymore). Fortunately for now they at least provide hot water, but it looks like it may change in the future.
Poor front desk service. Always rude and never flexible don’t explain the context which is sad because the service is amazing. Also second time starting late and not making up the time. Please be better.
Had a very frustrating experience trying to book a treatment for my girlfriend’s birthday here. They lied about calling me the day before to say that I had to arrive 30 minutes early to the 2 hour appointment, a known issue they had multiple times in the past and somehow still don’t solve. Ended up having to cancel the appointment on my girlfriends birthday when arrived with her.
The place is really clean and the staff is friendly. All the regular amenities. I wouldve liked separate clay and salt rooms (theyre combined). Aveda products. Strictly no underwear!
I got the goddess package, it was amazing!! I just wish I lived closer so I could get the membership! I could definitely use a scrub every month. Would highly recommend!
The massages here are always outstanding and I love the feel of the spa, always full of natural light and very relaxing. Great place to visit!
I like a lot about it but the very unpleasant considerable rudeness and inhospitality of the male section attendant and the very early closure hours (before sunset even), along with some broken fixtures decrease the rating significantly in my book. 👎🏻
I love immersion Spa because it is such a clean and relaxing place. When I drive from San Francisco to San Jose I like to stop here because I am really tired after a 12 hour work day. Also the people there are very friendly.
Excellent attention and the place is very cozy, they make you feel special, I would come back a thousand times 🥰
Tina provided a phenomenal service. She was very caring and made me feel awesome afterwards. Thank you!
Very clean, quiet spa with a generous selection of treatments. Sauna and hot tub can be used before the treatment for free. Great if you go alone, not designed for groups that want to talk.
Love this place, the cold pool was down when I went but I think they’ve fixed it now. Such a great place to relax as long as you don’t mind being naked with strangers.
Be ready for a very rude front desk!Terrible and extremely rude front desk. I called them in advance to check if they had availability for me to come. They said yes please go ahead. Once I got there they told me that they no longer would let me in, even though it took me 30 minutes to get there. Then a rude front desk lady, claimed to be the manager, and instead of making everything right told me to leave.
So the facilities and the massage were great. But the whole experience was totally spoiled by the fact that I left a prized posession in the locker room, called in 15 minutes and the staff was not able to assist or call back. I came back the next day and no one was sympathetic or helpful.
After only one session, I have to admit, they were amazingly effective in helping me with my post-surgical, facial scar tissue adhesion, where my IT band inserts into lateral aspect of my knee joint. I would definitely recommend them.
The massage was not very comfortable. I woke up with pain the next day instead of feeling more relaxed. 3 stars only for the amenities and friendly staff.
I had a horrible experience with a massage therapist last spring. I felt terrified and powerless as he spent way too much time massaging my butt. I kept thinking, “no, this isn’t happening. Surely he’ll move on.” I felt petrified and shocked. He finished by slapping my buttox and walking out.I’ve never returned and never will.
It was a wonderful experience, the services provided were excellent, the environment is thoughtfully designed, the products are top quality and free of harmful ingredients, and I was completely satisfied when I left.
Nice clean facilities and friendly staff, the Korean Scrub is great! There are many affordable treatments for men, women and couples. Worth a visit.
Been here a few times. Spa is clean , quiet & massages have always been good.
Love them! Scrab is the best and all ladies know how to adjust it to the European level. This place has all you need: towels, robes, high quality Aveda products for you to use during your stay there. Hair dryers, toothpaste, disposable toothbrushes, cold water and hot teà.
Used to be some place worth going now its just cheap, no robes, no towels, a drinking fountain thats barely giving water, and no cups for it. Showers have low water pressure, hot tube barely hot.
This is an impressive Korean style spa. I’ve been to Korean spas in Vietnam that were epic. This one compares.
Great service and experience!! My skin has never felt so gooood!! I’ll be back and referring all my friends and family!!
Magical. Maybe a better orientation for first time visitors. Wonderfully relaxing environment so long as you are comfortable in your own skin
Julie, massage therapist was good & respectful. One of the receptionists seemed bummed out upon my checking in & out.
No frills ,clean Spa and highly recommend the Korean massage....you feel your skin is born again after the scrub and massage..Tina was amazing
The Sexual Activity with the men in this place is always happening and the non speaking english worker is useless to tell him about the issue. He simply doesnt understand. Great place if your Looking to catch STDs with all the sexual behavior going on
Immersion Spa is a solid bathhouse all around, very clean and provides a variety of services. The only issue is that it gets crowded during peak hours and the saunas are just a little too mild in my opinion.
The service, the treatments, the vibe was all such a great experience… Loved it! Will return
Fantastic experience! Clean, professional, friendly staff, relaxing, just all around a great time. I cant wait to return soon.
This place is amazing! The price is just right and the massage and scrub are amazing! Highly recommend this place!
Really nice clean facilities had a great scrub and massage. Nice steamroom
Great spa, 30$ gets you a walk-in guest pass here. Great value. They have a super hot sauna, jacuzzi, steam room and salt room. Love it.
Staff very nice. Enjoyed my treatment.
Great spa, very clean and with a quiet atmosphere. I only wish the dry sauna had higher temperature
One of my favorite places to visit when I need a spa day in South Bay.
The service was very good but a little bit costly and you should be comfortable with people roaming around nude
They charged me twice for the same treatment. I talked to the manager and she told me they will do refund, after many emails ant phone calls, i still didn’t get my money back. It is already past more than a month. What can I say?!
Amazing service, massages and clean space. I am a regular client here ans highly recommend that place ♥️
Clean, professional, and the salt room on women’s side is very relaxing. And they use Aveda products. service is consistent
Best version for Korean Spa. Try salt room, steam room, jacuzzi. You dont have to book service, just go there to use facilities for $30.
👌 Sauna! So relaxing..You can enjoy dry, wet and salty saunas with hot tube. Great free cosmetics from Aveda, herbal tea and massage was truly the best!
I looked at who you do not accept. People with health issues. Shame on you. I have Spina Bifida and have troubles with balance. I was going to go there because I am sore a lot because of how I walk, but I guess you do not take people with disabilities with balance issues. Wow!
Jin was amazing! She scrubbed me from top to bottom and gave an incredible massage. Definitely coming back.
Attentive staff, superb service! 10!!!
Tiny, very formal place . Crowded. No place to chat or relax. Either hot or very cold saunas and pools. Smells bleach a lot. Good shampoo and conditioner.

Friendly staff, super clean, relaxing atmosphere, and my therapist, Kay, was excellent!!! I will definitely recommend this spa to friends and family.
Love this place. My skin feels so amazing after and I sleep so great that night. Kay is awesome
Immersion spa is great. Clean. I love that they use Aveda products. The Godess package is my favorite. Well worth the money.
The facilities are well maintained and are clean. The appointment system works and was on time. No issues with last visit or previous visits.
Amazing place, I went for the scrub my skin is very soft after ! Lee did an excellent job, I cant wait to return
Not too many frills, but decent small Korean spa, with showers, small hot pool+smaller cold pool body scrub, and massage services.
