Jimmy’s is a great place to have dinner and take in some top notch live music. The club is on the third floor of a former YMCA. Seating varies from intimate tables for two or four close to the stage, to tables in the balcony, a large side room. And a large bar area. Seating I. The bar area also includes project of the show on a large screen tv, so you do not need to crane your neck around obstructions. We went to the Ruthie Foster show, and she was as phenomenal as ever!Jimmy’s offers dinner, dessert, and a full bar. They begin seating two hours before the show, and you can order food anytime after the doors open. The staff are great, friendly, and helpful. The food I was o.k. We tries the bacon wrapped scallops - which were delicious. For an entree I tried the sword fish, which came with fennel bulbs, onions, and fingerling potatoes. The fennel did not taste of anything, the onions had a curious citrusy taste, and the potatoes were nicely roasted. The swordfish was ok, not bad, but nothing noteworthy either. For dessert we tried the strawberry shortcake, which was a deconstructed arrangement with sliced strawberries on one side, cream on the other, and a sweet crepe-like pie concoction in the middle. I found it sweet and disappointingly a distant relative many times removed from shortcake.Great space, awesome music, so so food.
Ah, Jimmyz Jazz & Blues Club, a truly cool spot indeed! The sound system there is absolutely top-notch, creating an immersive experience thats perfect for live shows. Beautiful set up for a wedding creating a unique ambience around every corner. And lets not forget about the food! Its simply amazing, adding a delicious touch to your visit. 🎶🍽️
A great evening at Jimmy’s … 1st time drove up from Worcester MA and spent the weekend… I’m a Contemporary jazz fanatic and Peter White exceeded expectations … waited over 30 years to see White live and fulfilled another bucket list dream”. The venue was incredible, the staff awesome… just an amazing experience… thank you Jimmy’s… worth the trip… “ you need a seasons ticket offering… can’t wait to come back …
Looking for a place to see literally the best in the business? This place has amazing food and great staff. I have been lucky to have performed here and was treated like royalty as an artist. I just saw a concert here on a week night and completely enjoyed my experience just as much. It sounds great! Any seat is fine and the tvs show the band as well with a 3-5 camera shoot. Dinner is amazing and parking easy.
Recently attended Joanne Shaw Taylor at Jimmys Jazz and Blues club. Joanne gave us a great concert! The venue is very convenient with good parking. The wait staff was very friendly and quick. Being able to see the stage was occasionally an issue with people in front of me. An overall good experience. Much better than driving into and parking at a Boston venue.
We paid to see a live show. We were brought into a room with the bar and our table had no view of the stage. We were told that we could turn our chairs around and watch the show on a TV that was on the wall. We were then told if we wanted a table with a view of the stage, we would need to go to the ticket office. When we went there, they said there was only a table left in the balcony and that didnt have a good view. There is no refund on the tickets we had so we would need to pay an additional $82.50 each to sit there. If I wanted to watch the show on a TV, I would have been much more comfortable at home watching the same act on YouTube. Instead, the table we had was a small high-top table with four other people crammed into an area with a number of other high-top tables with a wall blocking the view of the stage. This was the first time time I had been to Jimmys so I wouldnt know that Id be watching the show on a TV instead of the stage. There was no indication on the map of the hall that we would be in a different room than the stage when we purchased the tickets and we drove an hour to see the show. Clearly other people have had the same issue because there was a sign front and center at the ticket office saying No Refunds.
We Love Jimmys! We are local and have been there many times since it opened. The ambience is superb... its such a kool building and great renovation. Typically the drinks are pretty good but as a foodie, Id give the food 4 stars. However the music is the best and more important than the food! Acoustics are great and its nice that the performers also love the space!
A different kind of review but we had our wedding ceremony and reception at Jimmys in June and I cant say enough good things! The space was amazing and what we really appreciated was the different spaces that gave our guests the opportunity to either dance, chat or watch. The food was absolutely incredible and our guests couldnt rave more about it. I have a gluten intolerance and they were extremely accomodating. We also held our cocktail hour in the first floor art gallery that was also stunning. Being a jazz club, we hired a live band to place and they absolutely crushed it and the accoustics were excellent. We couldnt have asked for a better wedding and Rachel was also great to work with and coordinate, were looking forward to going back for a show!
This is a classy place to enjoy a great evening with some renowned Jazz and Blues names. The Club has been very tastefully appointed, with modern art complementing the decor and ambiance that is very warm and inviting. One of the oldest YMCAs in the country (a 1905 landmark) that has been very thoughtfully and lavishly renovated, with the brick facade adding to the charm, and high ceilings and equally large floor to ceiling glass windows/panels making it a unique setting like none other. And to find perfect acoustics in such a complex and architecturally diverse space, is even more surprising. The food is delicious and while a bit on the pricey side, it is well worth it given the superb service with very attentive staff. In particular during my recent visit, Jayden and Alyssa were just fabulous, very courteous and professional. This was my first visit to this Club, and it far exceeded my expectations. It is no wonder that patrons from far flung places, even overseas, choose to visit this wonderful gem of a Club, nestled in the vibrant city of Portsmouth, NH.
10 Stars, if I could; Ms Sunshine deserves every single one of them. As skilled a musician as she is, she may just be even a better performer; WHAT A Blast of a SHOW. So much joy, just authentic JOY. We had an amazing time, thank you for the exceptional introduction to Avery Sunshine and her Joyful TRIO:)And Jimmy’s? 3rd time visiting…always asking myself; we should come here more often, much more often. Gorgeous space, music, food and people. THANK YOU!
The staff and the accommodations were great. Jimmys was an excellent night out but went to see Norman Brown. He was too loud and the sound engineering was terrible. Couldn’t understand the singers drums should have had a shield in front of it for such a small venue. Distortion levels were through the roof. Understand your surroundings. Not the fault of Jimmys and none of this impacted the level of service and it is a very nice place to eat and hear some music. Going back on the 26th to see Peter White. Hopefully the sound engineer understands the assignment.
Jimmy’s is a first class music performance venue, especially for small ensembles. I was reminded of the intimate atmosphere of the old jazz clubs of Boston, but without the dingy low ceilings. They also offer an extensive food menu, which I didn’t try this time, and their cocktail and spirits menu was quite comprehensive. This was my first visit, but it won’t be my last.
We purchased tickets at the box office. She said our table (301) had a perfect view of the stage. It didn’t. I had a wooden post right in my face. Well, about 3 feet from my face. I had a semi-obstructed view. Very disappointing. However, the service from the staff was extremely good.
Jimmys is a gem! It is a stunning building (an old YMCA that was so beautifully renovated), great ambience, delicious food, and an impressive lineup of shows. My husband and I attended a 7:30pm show. We arrived at 7 (if you want to eat your meal before the show starts, arrive earlier) and enjoyed a dinner while we watched and listened to amazing jazz.My top choice of tables for 2 would be MS 230, MS 231, or EB505, as you are not sharing a table with others. If you dont mind sharing, then the main floor in front of the stage area is great, or the first rows on the balcony.
Saw Sugar Ray Rayford at Jimmys and he was sensational. The sound system at Jimmys is top notch. A very comfortable venue. The food is just okay so I recommend having dinner before the show at one of the several quality restaurants within walking distance to Jimmys.
I went for the Mother’s Day brunch and I ended up leaving pretty frustrated. The atmosphere is amazing it was everything you would expect of a high end jazz club. The food was good, there was a great selection, I’m sure no one went home hungry. The fruit was amazingly fresh and the service was phenomenal. Why only three stars… It’s because of how they handle payment. I booked online and gave my credit card but they just put a hold on your card rather then charging it. So when im ready to leave I had a huge bill that I wasn’t expecting. There was no indication when I “paid” that it was just a hold.I was pretty frustrated because I had bought the tickets so long ago, i didn’t realize it was a hold. I could see some of the other customers were confused too. I guess I know now but I’m not sure I want to go back which is disappointing because I have wanted to go to Jimmy’s for a long time.
A unique dinner and show experience. Food and service was great. Saw the Beatlemania cover band while having dinner. So much fun!
Great Beautiful quaint Place to go see, live band and enjoy great company and have good food with the exception of the salty cheeseburger in my opinion. Other than that a must go to place there was nothing missed. If you couldn’t see the stage they had TVs to view where you can relax and watch the performance and you can also hear very well. Definitely a must go and enjoy the show.
Find a reason to visit Jimmys!! If you are even remotely interested in any of the musical performers, make it a priority to see them at Jimmys--it is a spectacular building and concert room, the service has been outstanding, and the music has been top-shelf. It might be worth going just to see the building, but the musicians weve seen have also been outstanding. Great, great place!!
We loved everything about Jimmys Jazz and Blues. Of course Ana Popovic was fantastic as was the service, atmosphere and sound quality. Such a grown up way to see a show! We did not eat dinner at Jimmys but will next time. The food looked delicious.
Went there for dinner & entertainment. It was a fun experience. The berry salad was good and the staff were very nice! I will be going again when I am in Portsmouth! Thank you!
We go every chance we get!! Love Jimmys with my whole heart. I do wish they had more accessible prices, however. We often get the bar seats to afford to see more shows, but that means we are often near LOUD people that arent there for the music. Sometimes the security staff says something, sometimes they dont. Its very inconsistent. The shows we see are always great though!
Such an amazing experience. Never thought Id be able to see Victor Wooten, live, standing 6 feet away from me plucking those bass strings like a musical god. Saw them twice, in the sweet setting that was Jimmy Jazz club.
Jimmys Jazz & Blues Club is a great place to spend a great evening with your wife or girlfriend. I came from Massachusetts to hear Lee Ritenour (Captain Fingers) not only was the show amazing but the sorority was perfect. Clean and very kind staff. I love it, recommended everyone to check it out for yourself.
Now this has been a long time coming that was worth the wait . Jazz supper clubs from the past always attracted us for the relaxed yet elegant atmosphere food and beverage and great live music. Jimmys delivered all the way through . Drinks and service were great as was the food -try the chicken thigh apps ! The listening room itself was excellent to see and hear a show we could not see a bad seat in the house .We were fortunate to see blues focused daniel miraglia and parcneckRare for a jazz roomWe will be back
My 1st time there and the place is absolutely stunning! Service and staff were phenomenal and very attentive. The only complaint I have was the seating. Purchased online tickets from the seating chart by the bar area. When We arrived there was a brick wall blocking the stage view. We could only see microphones. Two big screen TVs mount on the wall, but couldn’t see because of the high bar table filled with other patrons. Could only hear my favorite singer. The Manger was attentive as well and told us he would find better seating, however after 1 and a half hour, it was evident that I paid money to hear Lisa Fisher rather than see her. We left in mid concert as there was no possible way to enjoy. This is not to say anything awful about the venue, but rather to say remove those tables as they are only good for listening rather than seeing.
Last nights Patsy Cline tribute was my third time at Jimmys. They attract an impressive array of artists, and Ive thoroughly enjoyed all of the acts..Larry Carlton was amazing! The surroundings are beautiful ..very conducive to enjoying the music. The fly in the ointment last night, however, was the kitchens apparent inability to produce a well-done (clearly and emphatically requested when ordering).hamburger ..two attempts and still lots of pink. I wasnt charged for it, but by the time it all shook out, I felt as though the salad I got instead should have been comped.
The owners and management absolutely nailed it. If 10 years from now northern New England has a thriving Jazz scene, it will be because of Jimmys. If it doesnt, its because everyone within a 1.5 hour drive of Portsmouth, NH squandered a generational opportunity. The space is both beautiful and functional, as in visually very appealing while not sacrificing good acoustics. The food was flavorful, if perhaps lacking a little heat, but that may just be to make it palatable to New England tastes. The drinks are reasonably priced and sized.I dont remember being this excited about a place opening. While there will always be something special about seeing a Jazz act in a cramped overcrowded club in NYC, Jimmys is overall a better experience.Edit 01/07/2022: Just saw my third show last night and have to say Im just as excited about this place as I was after the first show, in fact Ill be going again next month. First, additional praise...1. The sound person is doing a phenomenal job. Last nights performance included piano, stand-up bass, drums, and electric guitar. From my seat near the middle of the main floor the balance between the electric guitar and the acoustic instruments couldnt have been better. The guitar never overpowered nor got lost. 2. Changing up the drink specials. The Bee Valley didnt suit my tastes, but I appreciated the idea. The Wintertide Manhattan was very nice.Suggestions...1. Get an onsite ATM if you are going to continue to accept CASH ONLY for purchase of post-performance cds/vinyl. 2. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put felt or plastic glides on the chairs so they slide across the wood floor instead of chatter when someone shifts their seat.Critcism...Ill have to agree with several others that food prices are out of line with portion sizes/quality. The food is good, but not exceptional. It either needs to be made exceptional or come with larger portions, or be reduced in price.
Amazing new space. Great acoustics, staff and shows. We saw Misty Blues who sounded incredible. Seating is very comfortable with room to stretch. Attention to sound is perfect. We only had the flourless chocolate cake and it was delicious. Well be back for sure from Boston.
Fantastic experience. Johnny A is the best! Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Food and beverage a definite plus. Only minor drawback is parking can be challenging in Portsmouth but, minor quibble, and so worth the effort to go to Jimmy’s!
Just what this area needs! This is an awesome venue and they have done a tremendous job inside. We had a great meal with even better service. The seats were great and the performance was awesome. It was a little pricey so it won’t be a regular date night out for us but it’s great for something special to do occasionally. Looking forward to the next show we see here.
Jimmys Jazz & Blues Club has quickly become a treasure unique to downtown Portsmouth. The acts that come to play here are world class and deliver attendees an amazing musical experience. The acoustics are out of this world. There are multiple bars throughout this extraordinarily beautiful facility. Be sure to go for dinner ahead of the show. The food is fantastic and makes for a wonderful evening.
EVERYTHING about this place is amazing! The staff, building, atmosphere, food, and show were all incredible. We had such a great time, every detail was perfect. Especially the staff. Everyone was so on the ball!
Great place to see a concert. Wonderful and friendly staff. Shows and food are at a good price and the food is really great. I live near Vermont, and it’s always worth the drive to go to see a show at Jimmy’s.
My wife and I had a totally wonderful experience @Jimmys. Great music by George Coleman and a cool space in which to listen. Attentive and professional treatment by the entire staff - particularly wish to call out our table attendant, Nicole. She added so much to a wonderful time. Enjoyed the Blackberry Smash cocktails and crab cake appy. Check the pics. Here on holiday from NJ and cant wait to visit again.
Great place to spend an evening viewing and listening to top-rated musicians. Fantastic ambiance, great food and drinks. You will not be disappointed.
Amazing venue. Great food and service. The stage is easily seen from nearly all seats and the sound is beautiful!
Beautiful, upscale interior. They did a nice job with the renovations. Things get a bit loud in the balcony due to the speakers on the ceiling (ear protection is recommended). I would see a show there again. Did not try anything on the menu. Nearby parking (Bridge Street Lot) was cheap. Only $7 for six hours.
I always enjoy going to Jimmys. The venue is just beautiful, great acoustics. The staff always makes you feel welcome, and you can’t beat the caliber of entertainment. It’s always a special night out.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Bought tickets with obstructed view where the seating was not even in the same room as the stage. The room was equipped with a small flat screen TV and small speakers that were barely audible. The show was also being live streamed, so had I stayed home and watched this on my own much larger flatscreen with much larger and louder speakers, I could have saved myself an hour drive each way and 100.00. What a joke that they would sell tickets to seats like that. Buyer beware…
The Premier Night Club in the Portsmouth area. 7 nites a week and brunch featuring the best talent and acts anywhere north of Boston. Beautifully renovated and intimately designed for a top notch experience. Local and national acts provide a very eclectic selection of entertainment. Great food and drink finish it off. Early start times make it a very popular venue. If there were a 6th star I would give it.
Good seats, great show, service was outstanding, and the meal was excellent. It was our first experience there and we were impressed. Will be back for sure!
My husband and I visited here for our honeymoon and were very impressed! Super high end venue, felt like we were in NYC or chicago not Portsmouth.
Beautiful, intimate venue, from a historic, reclaimed YMCA space! Dance floor is big enough for a decent boogie to jazz, and the cocktails are delicious!
I bought tickets to a show and seeing as most of the venue somehow has an obstructed view I went in expecting a pillar or support beams. For $25 I can live with a beam. We showed up and the person checked the tickets and said “follow me” we got on the elevator and the doors opened to a small seating area with maybe 10 tables and TV’s showing the stage. They call zero view of the stage “obstructed view”. All of us up in the misfit section had a good time together. We spent the 2 hours making fun of the place. We stopped listening and watching the TV because it was so absurd that it wasn’t worth the mental bandwidth. Long story long “obstructed view” means YouTube video.
About 50% of the seats you cant see the stage at all. If youre not stage front, its really not worth it. I sat section 501 (front facing baclony) in seats 5/6, in this section seats 3/4 are really the only two worth buying. I tried to stand as my entire view was blocked but was asked to sit by the usher as I was blocking theview of the seats in the riser behind me. Others were aloud to stand be I was told I was too tall
Theres a lot to like about JJ&BC, but I can only recommend it with a major caveat: the lines of sight for seats off to the side of the main floor may be very poor or almost completely obstructed. You need to be VERY careful picking your seats if they are not on the main floor directly in front of the stage. For example, I bought seats 1 and 4 for table 601 in the side balcony. The seating chart on the Ticketmaster site gives the impression that these seats will have a great view looking down on the stage. Nope! The view from seat 1 provided a view of narrows SLICE of the very front of the stage. I could only see the guitar player and none of the other players. My wife, who was in seat 4, could see most, but not all of the players, but had to bend way forward in her seat to do so. These should have been identified -- and PRICED -- like the other seats with obstructed or, at the very least, partially obstructed views. NOPE! They cost the same as other seats in that section which had far better views. JJ&BC need to do a much better job of providing a way for customers to, literally, PRE-VIEW what the view of the stage is for each seat in the venue. And, they need to price ALL seats with less-than-full views of the stage accordingly. All that said, its a beautiful venue, with professional, friendly staff and some really excellent music. Selcouth Quartet were fantastic.
Jimmy’s is a great venue! Would highly recommend taking the time to go to Jimmy’s enjoy the music and the ambiance.
Food was amazing! Very very clean for a high volume place. Staff was amazing and friendly. Would highly recommend making time to stop here.
Excellent venue and acoustics. Food was fabulous. Salad was so fresh and tasty. Portions could be a bit larger. I think I had 3 tablespoons of mashed potatoes. Filet was cooked to perfection. Drinks were very good and reasonable. My only complaint was that the balcony rear guests were obnoxiously loud talking and laughing. It was so rude to the performers. That needs to be addressed by staff. Also, was wondering why our waitress was absent all night. I had to keep going to bar to get more drinks. Evidently we were supposed to press the candle bulb on the table. When light is out, she comes over. Did not hear her say that. It should be written on menu for those hard of hearing. Not one of us in the party of 3 heard that. Definitely will be back though. Fun spot!
Had an absolutely amazing experience - the staff was fantastic, the food was delicious, and Stella Cole was incredible! Highly recommend going and hearing some great jazz music
Id like to thank Mary and the ticket office staff for helping navigate tickets for Van Morrison- they were extremely patient and helpful.
What a fantastic venue! Ive been looking for a jazz club near me where I could get a great drink, eat good food, and listen to amazing music. Jimmys is EXACTLY what Ive been looking for!My husband and I went for the first time and listened to the Pasquale Grasso Trio, who was incredible! We ate dinner (brussel sprouts and charcuterie for starters, cod for main dish, and bread pudding for dessert) and I enjoyed an excellent Vesper drink. Everything was delicious! The staff was so helpful, courteous, and prompt. We are already looking for the next show to attend. Seriously, a great date spot!!
Caught the Kathy Mattea concert first time in this absolutely beautiful building. The staff first rate. Drinks perfect. I actually thought I was in a beautiful mansion among friends and family invited by the special family who put this together. And did I mention Kathy Mattea made me cry. How beautiful is that. Bravo Jimmys you have a special thing going on.
Congratulations to the Labrie Family for an AMAZING job well done! There’s nothing they missed in this place. Food was delicious and well prepared, the servers/waitstaff just attentive to detail and respectful during the show. The ambiance just beautiful. I can’t wait to return. This place is truly a gem we all needed in Portsmouth. Amazing duo. So proud of them both. Thank you for an incredible hospitality!
My friend and I traveled from Boston to Portsmouth, NH to visit Jimmys Jazz Club on Sunday. I have to tell you that the trip was worth it! I love everything about it - the ambiance, the music, the decorations, the food - everything! Amelia, Tianna, and Joanny (my apologies if I misspelled your names) made our visit even more joyful. The brunch buffet was amazing (I forgot to ask for the omelet station chefs name, but hands down, one of the best omelets Ive ever had). The chef was friendly, conversational, and welcoming. To make thing even better, the music by Mark Shilansky and Sara Caswell, was memorable. So, I am glad that we made this trip, and I highly recommend a visit to Jimmys Jazz Club to anyone who loves great music, food, and a cozy and elegant ambiance.
Jimmys is a top notch jazz and blues club in Portsmouth, NH. Its also an intimate venue, allowing you to appreciate the music in a relatively small room with cabaret style seating. The food is quite good and the staff is attentive and friendly. I recommend anyone who is an aficienado of jazz & blues to come to Jimmys and enjoy the music, the vibe and the atmosphere.
Love this place! I have been twice and really enjoyed the show, food, and drinks both times.
On Sundays, wonderful soft jazz while feasting on an upscale, high quality brunch. Certainly a reasonably expensive outing ($65/person plus tax and tip). We actually met the performers who were extremely gracious. Highly recommend.
Such an awesome venue! Well maintained and staffed. We saw a last minute jazz show here and were so pleased with the experience. I especially liked that the servers had a discreet system for coming to your tables to not disturb you during the show. Id recommend not choosing a seat by one of the doors though. Staff were busy going in and out. I felt like we were in the way.Definitely recommend catching a show here while youre in Portsmouth!
Great downtown venue for music. Ambience, band, hall, drinks, food, prompt service — all bullesyes! 🎯 Great job, Jimmies! Look forward to being back soon!!
What a wonderful addition to the entertainment community in Portsmouth! Family and I enjoyed dinner and a show...cudos to the Chef! Was surprised to find out that our small table of 4 was set for 6... the arrangement was for 2 unknown guests to join our group...not a fan of that. Also, the room was very dark... had to ask for lights to be turned up for dinner, which is 2 hours prior to the show. Overall, we enjoyed a night out and will go back to try the brunch.
Jimmys Jazz Club is excellent! A fabulous venue in an intimate setting. I had a wonderful dinner before the show and the menu is very good and varied with equal offerings of beer, wine or cocktails. The wait staff was excellent as well. This was my second visit to Jimmys and I will definitely be coming back! The musical performers they book are fantastic!! I highly recommend Jimmys!!
What a wonderful experience! We parked out back and a gentleman asked if we were going to the show, then suggested he could let us in the back door. He actually rode the elevator with us and provided a history of the building. He handed us off to an usher who was very patient with me trying to get my ticket on my phone. He then kindly pointed out our reservation was for a high top table and diplomatically asked if that would physically work for me… it didn’t! So he had them switch out the table. The waitress was very pleasant and the food was amazing! The stuffed sole was one of the best things I have eaten in a long time. All the staff seemed to be hard working and things were well organized. My only negative comment would be the food runners didn’t seem to know the table numbers well and seemed lost much of the time, saw several people say “I didn’t order this”. Just need a bit more training. And of course the show… Ruthie Foster was beyond amazing!
Recently went to a wedding reception at the Jazz Club. The venue was absolutely beautiful, the food was delicious and the staff was professional, kind and attentive. My phone had accidentally been thrown into the linens and the staff went above and beyond to locate it for me
Great place! Elton John tribute act excellent. Staff at jimmys polite, friendly and efficient. Food and drinks very good.👍
We were supposed to go to Jimmys twice last year. Never happened. Have been there twice already this summer, with a couple more shows to go! An amazing night club! With more than reasonable prices on drinks and food, very good! Small plates, but for the price, very reasonable! Service is spot on! Friendly and accommodating! If they keep bringing New Orleans to me, it MIGHT keep me from spending the money to get there! The room itself is set up beautifully, with ticket prices set accordingly! Considering the talent that they bring to their room, well worth the price of admission!!! Its not a large venue, seating Im guessing 250(+/-). The best seats $25-75 depending on whos playing, for incredible unobstructed views very close to the stage, to $10-10+ for obstructed seats in the bar area with Seriously Great sound!
Great food great music!!! The work on the building came out beautiful. They definitely need more staffing. Service was good
We were thrilled to discover this place, lured by a John Scofield show. A jazz club showcasing top-of-the-line talent, where you can be served dinner and/or drinks before and during the show is a rare find, especially at the very high level of acoustics, ambience, attentive service, good food, wine, and cocktails that Jimmy’s offers. Plus you won’t be crammed in so you can barely move (as at Blue Note NYC, for example) - the tables are comfortably spaced. Everything about Jimmy’s is attractive and welcoming. Highly recommended!!
Beautiful venue. The gentleman working security at the front door 12/10/23 was not very welcoming . The entry process could be streamlined and more respectful considering the pedigree of the establishment I had to validate my tickets 2x (once again on 3rd floor)and then security failed to send my 6th party member up to our table. I had to leave my seat and go down for a 3rd time to validate. Once inside, the remainder of our experience was very good. It was an obstructed view but we we warned about that. As a business owner, I know the importance of greeting guests in a courteous manner can not be understated. Also, It would be nice to cut Ticketmaster out of the equation but I understand the logistics of why that service is needed
This is a GREAT place to grab dinner and a show. In my two visits to this club, the food, show, venue, acoustics and service were all excellent! Its obvious the staff truly want to provide a great customer experience. Portsmouth is lucky to have this gem.
We had a fantastic evening here! There really arent any bad seats/tables here. Even the obstructed views at least have access to TVs showing a live video feed, and there are separate lounges that you can go and sit in some comfy chairs if its too loud, or you want to have a conversation without interrupting the performance. Our server, Ann, was incredibly sweet, and went way beyond to take excellent care of us! The cocktails were truly memorable, even compared to some of the better restaurants/bars in Portsmouth. The food was all excellent, and everything looked stunning and felt comfortable. We look forward to coming back here and bringing our friends and family.
Food menu is not accessible to those with allergies. Virtually all their dishes have egg or dairy in them (nothing vegan). Nothing to eat without going into anaphylaxis. What a shame to not be inclusive so that all people can enjoy the food and venue.
This club is fabulous!! The building is beautiful and reminiscent of the supper clubs of the past. Food and drinks were excellent, as well as the attentive, professional staff. We went to see the funk band Dumpstaphunk and they didn’t disappoint! The acoustics were superb. I recommend this club highly. Great for date night or a night out with your friends!
From the welcome we received entering to check out, What a FABULOUS evening. Puts Manhattans Blue Note to shame (& Im a New Yorker). The venue itself - a rehabbed Y from the previous turn of the century - to the accommodating staff and SPACE!** (where the Blue note absolutely fails!) - and food (we sampled and great enjoyed a variety of appetizers - with the Crab Corquettes & Tuna spectacular ((as well as then Truffle Fries!!!)) Our first time there - came to hear Duke Robillard & Band - and boy did we! Once the sound on th Keyboards were turned up...fantastic! Such a wonderful evening. Plan on becoming Regulars now! Thanks all who made it happen! ** Special thanks to our usher Amanda who took time out to orient us to the venues history.
A beautiful place and great service. We absolutely enjoyed Beatle Mania Again for my moms 75th birthday.
Thanks to Jimmys Jazz & Blues Club for having Lissie perform, for having such a great venue, and for their super helpful and friendly staff! Special shout out to Gavin for making my night that much more special for taking the effort to show me around since it was my first time and for being hilarious as well as helpful. Cant wait to go back for another show!
First time at Jimmys. Wow. First of all, it is absolutely beautiful. We came a bit early to have dinner. The collord greens and cornbread is a no brainer. I had salmon and my wide had filet. Food was excellent. Truly farm to table with respect to the root veggies. The performance sound was outstanding...Marc Cohn. After a walk around at the end of the show, I cant wait to go back.
GEORGOUS PLACE WE WENT TO GO ERIC GALES, PLACE IS CLASSY STAFF,WAS PROFESSIONAL, HELPFUL, DINNER WAS EXCELLENT. AND LAST THING. ERIC GALES AND HIS WIFE ARE SO HUMBLE, PLACE GAVE THE MELLOW RELAXED VIBE WITH GREAT SETTINGS OF LIGHTS❤️❤️❤️❤️🤞🤞 CANT WAIT TO GO AGAIN. PORTSMOUTH NH DID THIS RIGHT!!!!🙏🙏🍹🥩GOING BACK ASAP! MICHELLE 🥺🥺
Had a great time, with the family and enjoyed listening a legend master saxophonist Mr.G Coleman quintet.Awesome atmosphere and good food..Only two issues, I’d like to bring to attention. We’ve been waiting in the hallway..The door to the venue was opened around 5:45 pm. Late dinner. And the second is the sitting issues.Nobody’s wishing to be seated with the strangers at the same table! This is wrong and unacceptable. The tickets was purchased a month ahead. We came to have a dinner… with family, and not with the strangers at the same table.Glad that issue was solved, after waiting a permission to be seated together. Thanks for this. If not those two issues, I would give otherwise a five stars.
It was my first visit to Jimmy s Jazz.I attended a Ghost-Note concert, great show! The sound was good, service was good and the venue is lovely! Looking forward to a return visit soon!
What an amazing setting to see a show. It was our first visit and we loved everything about it. All the workers were so nice and the setting is gorgeous. The band Southern Avenue was fantastic so just an all around amazing experience. We will be back for sure.
What an absolute gorgeous and intimate venue. My wife and I had a great time at a recent Jim Messina show. The acoustics were excellent. The entire staff, from the initial door greeter to our server Jeff, who was fantastic, were all friendly and helpful. The food was very good, yet a tad pricy for the portion size. The show was fantastic. Jim and his band fed off of the sold out crowd of about 600. The crowd most certainly loved him back and enjoyed the show their performance. We will be looking at future acts for a return visit.
As a musical venue, Jimmys creates a very intimate experience for the listener. Basically, all the seats in the house are less than a hundred feet from the stage. The fact that I can see the musicians facial expressions while playing speaks to this fact. The acoustics are dialed in. It is loud, but I never felt overwhelmed by the sound like some smaller venues. As a restaurant, the food is good and moderately priced. Entrees are 20-40$, apps 10-20$, drinks 6-15$. Overall, the food menu is relativity small, but there is something for everyone. There is a pretty extensive list of spirits and wine to choose from and good beers on tap as well. What really brings the whole experience together is the atmosphere: a very speakeasy vibe with a brick interior, detailed trim, and perfect lighting to set the mood. Heads up, the look is dressy casual;)Highly recommend! You wont be disappointed!
We had such a great time Saturday ,July 8. The food was excellent and the staff was great. Best of all was the show. Victor Wainwright and the Train were fantastic. Best show I’ve seen. So much energy and talent! We liked it so much we stayed for the second show! The meet and great with Victor was awesome! He is so humble and treats his fans so special! Can’t wait to see Victor and his Smokin’ Train again at Jimmy’sThank you!Reta Louise
Good diversity of shows, very tasty food, decent floor setup. Wish prices were a bit better and havent loved being forced to a mixed table of four (not many two-seat table options and almost always theres only two of us so end up with two strangers)
Yesterday was our third visit to the club. While it is an amazing venue, great sound system, and performers are top notch, food quality has taken a nose dive. It looks like the chefs are different and even the presentation has taken on a bit of a diner quality. The most most disappointing however was the service. We were seated by a hostess and minutes later a blond female administrator had come in and rather unpleasantly told that some of our party had to move. We had no issue all all - we had been seated where we were to begin with. It was absolutely unnecessary to have an attitude about it - it was not our mistake. In addition, we had requested not to serve bacon for several in our party and were assured that it is no issue and then got the meal with bacon in it. It was corrected fast but overall both these things made the evening less pleasant than it could have been. Our waiter Jordan was very pleasant and helpful.
Fantastic room to see a show, albeit you really want to be in the main room for unobstructed views. Service is very good, and one little thing that sets this room apart: my bourbon on the rocks was served with a single large ice cube rather than a glass full of cubes. Its the little things.Cant wait to see another show there.
Saw Dwight and Nicole. Great show. Beautiful venue.
The service was very good , drinks were ok . We were there too watch a 70s/80s band. The music was good but it was loud and we couldn’t really hear it very well. They announced before the show for people to keep their table Talk to a minimum. We were seated in an area where everyone around us was very loud and we couldn’t hear the band. So that was very annoying & Disappointing. I said something to our server at intermission & she told security but he just walked around never addressing the issue.
Excellent Intimate smaller venue. Will attend more shows there in the future!
My gal Susan and I have attended 7 or 8 shows over the last year plus…the best seats for the top shows and the extremely discounted seats ( obstructed, bar area) for others! The acoustics, decor, food service staff, door staff, security crew, all are spot on ! The food is good, drinks ample, and the talent they book is great! Go!
This year I planned my works holiday party at Jimmys, and it was such a hit! They were able to accommodate a full GF menu which was huge for us, and it was all delicious. The venue is gorgeous, and the music was awesome. Best of all the customer service was great and thats always a win. We all cant wait to go back! Thanks for a memorable holiday party this year.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Jimmy’s that offered great service and entertainment, but unfortunately, the food fell short in terms of temperature, freshness, and flavor. Despite this, I still had an overall positive experience.Upon arriving at the venue, I was greeted by friendly staff who promptly seated us at the table. The service throughout the meal was excellent, with attentive waitstaff who were always on hand to refill my glass or check on my needs. The entertainment provided by live music and performers added an enjoyable ambiance to the atmosphere.Unfortunately, when my food arrived, I noticed that it was not as hot as I would have liked. ( I could tell that the quinoa dish sat in the window for to long. While the flavors were ok, the lukewarm temperature detracted from the overall enjoyment of the meal. I shared this feedback with the waiter, and they were apologetic and offered to have the meal re-heated, but I declined as it was too late to start fresh. My other half ordered the salmon and that was over cooked, dry, on a salad with minimal dressing ( we actually think they forgot to add dressing)Despite this, I still had a great time at the restaurant. The excellent service and entertainment made up for the lukewarm food at best . The restaurants attention to detail and willingness to listen to customer feedback left me feeling satisfied with my experience overall.I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fun night out, but perhaps caution them to be mindful that there are so many great other restaurants in Portsmouth they may want to check out prior to a show. The waitstaff did notice the half eaten plate and did take off 1/2 the entree from the bill and that was appreciated but not necessary!
This venue is absolutely gorgeous and the acoustics were spot on! I wish that we had the option to dance up front and not sit at a table the whole time. Most of the staff were extremely polite and helpful, aside from one. I am definitely not basing my review off of her though. I was their for the music and drinks. Both were fantastic!
Was lucky enough to catch the Peter Parcek show last weekend and once again I was reminded what an amazing place Jimmys is. The food is great, the sound nearly perfect and the great drinks and service from Gina the the crew at the bar just made the night special. This is the best music club Ive ever been to. If you have not been - GO!
A fabulous venue! Great seating arrangements, small and intimate. The great cuisine was a bonus with everything tasty and hot. 3 bars with fireplaces and sitting areas and staff that were friendly and efficient.
Fantastic venue for live performances. The food was pretty good too. Only been here once to see The Headhunters but they were amazing. The jazz club service was great, and the sound set up was also great. Im looking forward to going again soon.
Last night was our first time at Jimmys. We were greeted by very kind people, the venue was great, performer was great, however, we will never eat there again. The food was terrible. We ordered the Buffalo wings and they came out raw. When we told our waitress she took them back but the wings were still on our bill. It was dark inside and towards the end of the show. I didn’t realize they were still on the bill until today when I looked at the receipt. Overall the venue was great but the food was incredibly disappointing. I would recommend eating elsewhere before going to the show.
Great experience at the venue from great security checks, taking you to your seats, and even letting you know the fastest route to the bathroom. Tinley Ellis is a phenomenal artist!! The drinks were great and Gina our bartender was so sweet. The food was pretty great I would say the only thing that fell short was the cornbread and collard greens. Other than that it was great time will definitely be going again and recommending to everyone!
Beautiful venue! The music was great and it was surprisingly busy for a cold Wednesday night. I love their system of turning your candle off when you want to order, and the Kumquat 75 cocktail is one of my new favorites! We did not order food, but the menu looked good.
My First time at Jimmy. Really nice people, very welcoming. Stopped in early to check the layout. Arron and Suzanne (I hope I got the names correct!) took me on a tour, even brought me to see the band as they were doing sound check. I’ve known members of this band (Billy Price) for 40 years so it was a treat to reconnect. When I came back for the show, everybody was nice, efficient and fun. Ushers, wait staff, and the crowd, we’re all terrificI’ve done years of bartending and managing, so I get, and appreciate the quality. The place is beautiful. Kinds dramatic with plenty of soaring windows. The sound system and sound men were great.I’ll be back in 3 weeks to see the Nighthawks! 🎶
Our second time at Jimmys. The Brubeck Brothers Quartet were fantastic, great stories about their dad. Sound was great, nice venue. We also had dinner, great meal and deserts.
This was my 1st visit and I plan to return. This is a classy establishment. From the charming gentlemen opening the doors in suits on, the staff strive to deliver outstanding service. The building is beautiful and the bathroom was immaculate. The food was exceptional and the the performance was amazing and interactive. I didnt give 5 stars because they did have confusion over splitting a check and 2 out of 3 of us realized after we overpaid ( cashing out in a very dark room and a new waiter who was quite flustered). Expect to pay more for this environment. We prepaid about $50 each for the performance then for dinner, dessert, a drink and tip about $90 per person. Updating to add that I was actually double billed ($98) but after a few phone calls, 6 days later it was rectified. I will say the turn around for that was disappointing and I was surprised at how casual the customer satisfaction person was about it. Typically a restaurant would at least offer a discount coupon or such to compensate for the inconvenience.
First time visiting here. Booked last minute show all I could get was obstructed view and wasnt a big deal could see 2/3 of band and there were TVs everywhere. The venue is awesome everything very clean and tidy what a great place to visit. The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. What a gem we stumbled across while in town. Cant wait to visit again when back in town. Great job to all staff at Jimmys!! Your doing an excellent job.
Jimmys has won me over in a span of 48 hours. I made a first-time visit with my teenage son to see Pat Metheny live, and was so impressed with the venue and performance that I invested another 3-hour round-trip the next night to attend with my daughter as well. The music was phenomenal, and of equal magic was the warm and stellar service and accommodations we received. Our server Sherilynn in particular was angelic, and made the experience incredibly memorable; well be asking for her on every return trip possible. The rest of our interactions with the staff were also consistently positive. The food was delicious, the drinks of high quality and the venue itself charming in appearance and acoustics. It does pay to invest a little time to scrutinize seating options when buying tickets, as some areas are more obstructed than others, but the Ticketmaster options made this perfectly clear. Overall, I highly recommend the club and look forward to many more visits!
This is based on 3 visits to Jimmys and over 60 years of exposure to food, beverage and entertainment. Jimmys is a very bright star in this wonderful, small city of Portsmouth. Both the quality of the entertainment and the service are world class. The food and beverage are exceptional. The space is inspiring and built for everyone to be entertained. With the Audio/Visual, everyone gets to enjoy the music. And, if this is not enough, Jimmys is affordable. I would give them 6 stars if I could.
What an amazing night last night at Jimmys jazz and blues club, truly blown away by the level of professionalism. Everybody was friendly and attentive starting with the staff at the door, Liz at the box office and our server Nate. Such a beautiful venue, great food. An amazing performance by the Emmaline band.I want to thank Jimmys again for working with me to get me a spot for the earlier show. It was truly appreciated. Me and my wife had a great night thank you. We will definitely be back.
This is an amazing venue that has been beautifully renovated. We held an evening work social at Jimmys, and it was fabulous. The food, the staff, the room, the performance -all top notch, and a great time was had by all. Rachel was wonderful to work with, and her team was extremely professional and accommodating. We are looking forward to having many more events with them!
Outstanding venue for top notch, award winning music! Beautiful setting. Great sound! love the food and drink. We are so fortunate to have this classy music venue in an intimate setting in Portsmouth! love the architectural details. Has a NYC vibe
Yummy food and excellent music, we are lucky to have this venue in Portsmouth!
Weve been to Jimmys a few times. Its in an old burned out YMCA and still has a lot of the old fixtures and character. The service is very good, especially considering the staff is dealing with a live show. And speaking of the show, always great music. Thanks, Jimmy!
I had a good time and listening to live music and having drinks it was a good experience love it
Great venue. Nice ambiance. Super clean and great service. You can buy the cheap seats without a view of the band if you just want to hear good music too.
A beautiful ambiance. Very classy and great food and wait staff. I went for a Christmas party so didnt get the whole experience, but I am sure it is very nice for any occasion.
Beautiful venue! Wonderful staff, decor and acoustics. Can’t wait to come back for another show!
Great place. Been meaning to go, finslly made it. Wonderful atmosphere. Employees are friendly. Beautiful inside space for food and a line up of amazing bands booked through the year. I will be returning frequently.
My review will be consistent with many others on Yelp (but the Google reviews look unrealistically positive at 4.8 stars)1. The place looks great. Loved it.2. Service was great.3. Our food was awesome. So far a 5 star experience.I down graded it to 3 stars because we sat at the main bar but we had an obstructed view. A large brick beam was in the way. When the show started I was able to slide my girlfriends stool down so she could see the performer (King Solomon Hicks....who was fantastic) maybe 50% of the time. I was able to see him 10% of the time. Otherwise we watched on the flat screen TV 10 feet away or saw the drummer. My issue: when I bought the tickets it should have been made clear to me these were Obstructed View seats. (Management please fix this).I would also note we got to the show almost 2 hours early to explore the place and eat dinner. As we explored the multiple floors we found some great smaller bars to get a drink at. But they would not serve us. They said we had to get our drinks from our seats and then come back. That seemed very odd and not customer friendly. We did it but that should be fixed. I should be able to go up to a bar on the top floor by two glasses of wine and close the tab. But they wouldnt let us. (Management please fix this)We will go back to Jimmys. But I will pay more attention to make sure I can see the stage from my seats.
7 dinners tonight, appetizers great, drinks great, food dry, last year was better.
Been to Jimmys 3 times in the past year coming up from Boston. Ron Carter Jr turned me on to this spot after his dad Ron Sr. played there.Saw artists Pianist Alex Bugnon, Vocalist Lisa Fischer and Saxophonist Kenny Garrett. Enjoy the whole experience. The staff was amazing, the food superb and the cocktails de-lish. Im thinking... This is in Portsmouth, NH?Boston needs to step up their game. ♥️
The club is gorgeous, the food very good and the service excellent. The quality of performers is also Top Shelf. Sadly, their sound mixing is horrible. I’ve come away from Pat Metheny, Kandace Springs, and Lindsey Webster feeling I’d been assaulted by sound. Background musicians drown out the lead performer. Drums are mic ‘d so snare drills a hole in your temple. We already have tickets for one more event; if it doesn’t improve, I’m never going backAnne Lynch
I went to Jimmy’s for the second time with friends and loved it! We saw Ruthie Foster and she was fabulous! Gavin Sorge greeted our table and was helpful and interested in making our evening special. Thanks, Gavin.
Jimmy’s is a great venueStaff is helpful and attentiveOscar and JerryHelped make my stay betterM
This is a really great venue. The drinks and food are good, and the staff are all very nice. The sound is fantastic even for the obstructed view seats
Great Venue, great service. The only thing is that Joan Osbourne played for just under an hour and half. I thought it was intermission. But thats all folks. Pricey tickets for a short show. We will be back though.
Great venue!! Saw Larry Carlton there when he was in town.
The venue is beautiful, open (yet intimate) well ventilated, great acoustics! So many wonderful sights close by. I was so happy to have Anthony Gomes come to Portsmouth! I look forward to seeing more performances here...I highly recommend!
Jimmy’s is such a treasure in our community. The venue is opulent without being stuffy, food and drinks always wonderful. I love being greeted by the warm and friendly Gavin, who always can find my ticket even when I can’t. The Pat Metheney show was wonderful. Thanks to all especially behind the scenes workers for making the magic happen.
Really nice music room with attentive, friendly employees. The music and atmosphere were great and thats why we went. Solid place. Ill be back. The food was pretty good and the prices were reasonable.
What an experience. The food the employees the music was awesome I totally enjoyed myself. Drove here all the way from the south of Boston and plan to come back. I am disabled and they catered to my needs. I want to thank Matt Paulette Jared Ray and Nicole for helping make my experience enjoyable. If youre in Portsmouth NH I recommend you visit.
Great venue. We had dinner before the show. I was impressed with the food and the service. The show, Sugarray Rayford, was outstanding. He is a showman. His band has serious talent.
6/8/23: I am editing my review, as I have received a response from the Director of Operations with an apology, which I do appreciate. Thank you, Ken.6/7/2023: I was going to change my review if I received a response (via email), but alas, did not. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe their response went into my spam/junk folder, but this was not the case. If Jimmys isnt keen on opening up the venue to private events, then they should remove the option from the website and not respond to negative comments that they are sorry when clearly this is not true. Even a no thank you email would have been better than nothing.5/25/2023: Thank you, Josh. I sent a follow-up email to you yesterday.Im so disappointed w/the lack of communication from this venue. Within the last month I had reached out to them once via their website (contact us link) and twice by telephone (left detailed messages both times) with no response regarding reserving a space for a Celebration of Life party in honor of my mother who passed on April 5. She was a jazz musician and I thought it would be a wonderful way to celebrate her by being surrounded by the people and music that she loved so much. Im really bummed.
Great food, ambiance, service and performance by Frank Vignola Trio !
My husband and I had never been her before. We thought it was an upscale place! The staff from the doorman to the wait staff were all so friendly and helpful! We enjoyed Clay Melton for sure!We highly recommend visiting Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues Club.
Great establishment to add to the community. Wine list is top notch for the area and food is local to the area (seafood) but also a twist of homage to jazz and blues. Highly recommend for friends and family!
Let me start with the good. The venue itself is very nice, the building, the renovation. It’s a pretty good place to see music and they get in some good acts. Be aware that if you sit in the upper balcony off to the side, which is what the box office recommended for me, you may not be able to see the musician at all, which to me is not acceptable. Also certain areas in the bar you will not be able to see the stage. In addition, I would recommend having dinner somewhere else before the show. They do have a full menu but the food was not good. We tried several things, salads, appetizers, entrées, dessert. The flourless chocolate cake wasn’t too bad
Excellent service and fantastic food. The acts are always great. We are very fortunate to have this venue here!
We thoroughly enjoyed the first few shows we saw there and enjoyed competent meals. We saw James Montgomery, Hot Sardines, … but we became discouraged over the past two experiences. We already expressed our dismay with the Albert Collins tribute, but most disappointing was the New Years event this past winter. At $375 per head we had high expectations. But the meal was just competent buffet, the music was tedious, and we were stunned to learn the bar wasn’t included. All in all it was a complete rip-off and has thoroughly soured us on wanting to return.
Lovely place with lovely people! Thank you very much for your kindness :)
This was our first time going there. The music was first class. The dinner was great. The server was very professionalWe will definitely go back again.
Great venue, much needed for a town like Portsmouth! good location, decent food, awesome waitress service, but the constant reminder by some staff members to be quiet before and during the music sets is NOT acceptable. From a mix party of six, between NYC & California, that have attended too many to count live music venues, live it up a little Jimmy.
We went to Jimmys jazz club and were greeted with standing in the lobby for 20 minutes waiting for tables. Our tables were changed from what we chose without any notice. We were told continually that we should be very excited about the tables we got which were high top bar tables with extraordinarily heavy chairs that we were unable to move easily. The music was okay, but it was so loud and not what we understood from the description of their music; covers and singing. The food was served on a plate the size of a coaster, and the food was nothing special, except for the high price. Even the drinks were off, and I was glad 2 of us shared a bottle of wine. It was so dark that we couldnt see our food. Overall, I wont go back to Jimmys again.
Another amazing night at Jimmys.Great music! Special thanks to Galvin who made the night amazing for my girlfriend and I. Thank you, Gavin! You Da Man! 👍😀Update: We visited Jimmys the Saturday night 6/24 to see Jon Cleary show. Amazing show. Amazing venue. We had a blast, as usual. Thanks again to Gavin for making this night special again for us. Thanks Gavin!
It was a fiasco getting into the place. Arriving 45 minutes early, I was instructed to start a second cue line while many people arriving later than me were escorted in before me. I was escorted to my seat that was listed as having an unobstructed view literally one minute before the show started. I was able to see the performer’s head, not at all unobstructed. I was ripped off. Management could not correct the problem and I missed 10 minutes of the performance trying to deal with them. The lights were turned down so reading the menu and drink list wasn’t possible. The video screen showed a grainy picture and was at an uncomfortable angle for viewing but with the supposed unobstructed view I paid for, should not have been an issue. I paid good money to see a world renowned performer but Jimmy’s turned it into a disappointing experience.
Staff were awesome, food expensive but good, sound was amazing. Seating chart should indicate that sky bar has limited view of stage. Big screen was there but there was no indication that my seat had a blocked view of stage. Awkward seating as not all seats at our table were our own party, not much room if others party had come to eat. When they did arrive they didnt want to sit with us.
We saw a promotion on NH chronicle about Jimmys and decided to give it a go. If you like live jazz, in a completely renovated, former YMCA that is classy and comfortable, offers ever changing food menu, inviting customer feedback, Gluten free options as well, a variety of both unique and classic drink options, with exceptional customer service, in the heart of Portsmouth, I would highly recommend this venue. The Labrie family really did a great job in bringing this vision to reality. There is various seating options to accommodate various group sizes. Check out their website where you can easily reserve tickets. The entertainment was truly exceptional.
