Darkside Smoke Shop Skate Shop

So I havent been in The Darkside & Skate shop in awhile & they dont sell just smoke & vape items anymore.They have a huge selection of skateboard stuff, tee shirts, 3D Dragons, journals, tapestries, specimens & rocks. I picked up a candle, tapestry & a dragon.If you havent been in awhile you should check them out.

We come from the dark side, so todays trip in was to get dad a fathers day gift and what better place then his favorite place. They have everything under the sun there. Love talking with them as we shop. If you are looking for some of the coolest skate boards, that have everything. Now expanding and have a full skate shop with amazing art cant wait to see it when finished.

So many cool things at this place!! Got my very first pipe here, and have always come back for more glass. A+ customer service every time.

This place was amazing!!!!!!! I don’t ever write reviews but I felt like I had to write this one. Such a great experience! They had great customer service, super helpful in every way. I just started learning how to longboard. I only knew the basic of what I was looking for. They showed me exactly what I was looking for and kept it within my budget which is huge for me. When people push me to buy more and spend more than I was planning when I don’t need to, that’s what turns me away from business. They didn’t do that and I’m super impressed, they told me everything I needed to know and let me try a couple out and compare it to what I already had. And within 10-15 mins I found the perfect board for me. It was worth every $!! When I went to pay, they showed me how to use the tool that came with with board and they said it was too loose, they tightened it for me so it was ready to go when I walked out the door. I will definitely be going back if I ever want to upgrade my board again. Highly recommend them!!! The pictures are of my new board. I love it!!!

They have an awesome selection of smoke shop items. Crazy stuff you probably haven’t seen before and some big crazy pieces for good prices. I went in for a quartz banger and they had lots to choose from for really good prices. I didn’t look too much at the skate stuff but it seemed like they had a big selection there too. The customer service was okay, some of the employees were more helpful/nice than others. I went to a few shops in the area and they had the best selection of the ones I went too. Definitely will check it out again when I’m back in the area.

Rip off prices, taxing for the convenience of being the only tattoo supplier in Redding, yet basic quality supplies at 3x the cost. Save your cash and order some online. Over $40 for 10 cartridges and a half oz. Of ink.

This shop is by far one of the best smoke shops around. Not only do they have good prices but they always have some sort of sell or giveaway going on. Also a great shop for all your skateboarding needs. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone!

Terrible facility. I am pregnant and didn’t want to walk super far. Literally told them I’d pay to park in their parking spot and they still refused to let me park there even though all other parking spots were full. They were legit hangout outside just to tell people to move. What happened to being polite.

The store does not stand by their products or support their customers. I purchased a glass bong and when I got home I noticed a stress fracture near the stem. I immediately went in for a replacement and the owner refused and began lobbing racial insults. Buyer beware. Purchasing online is a much better option. The owner of Darkside is a real piece of...

Great selection of T-shirts and decks, trucks, etc. Keep in mind this is also a smoke shop… not a bring your kid to get a new board kinda place. Staff were chill and helpful.

I live pretty much next door to the darkside smoke shop, so I go there a fair amount. Everytime I leave I always feel that their customer service is horrible. If you have questions about the products her response is that she dosnt know about the products and you should know what you are buying. ( howcan I know if I cant get some simple questions answered). who says that to a customer?. Anyways, that was a few months ago. Knowing that, I try not to ask big questions. But every once and a while I do have a simple question about a flavor of one of the vapes or if theyre getting more inn. Just whatever it is, they make you feel stupid or are just Annoyed by my question. Theyre never Friendly. Im done going there, rather drive a bit further and go to a shop that actually helps me and is Friendly

This place is by far the best smoke shop around. Prices are great, selection is far above others for disposable vapes, and the board selection is not too bad either. Highly recommend, employees are extremely nice

As a glass blower I found this to be one of the only shops in the area willing to buy American made glass . all the other shops I stopped at wanted to show me their Chinese and Indian made glass as a comparison to my prices. Its hard to compete with the prices of import glass . but the quality is just not as good and your not supporting American artist and the American economy when you support these other stores who only buy and sell import cheap glass. My appreciation to the owner of Darkside for supporting the glass artist.

I am really upset. Came in here after being told how fantastic the shop was. Was really interested in a piece and had it on the counter to be wrapped up. The guy working tried to sell me a different piece that i didn’t like as much, so of course i asked if the piece i wanted was defective in anyway. He assured me there was nothing wrong, and off i went. Got home, unwrapped it and noticed a crack. Called, went back and they exchanged for the same piece. I was STOKED to say the least, went home and set up my rig using a ceramic piece to separate the nail from the glass (because I have dabbed for a while and know the risks when heating metal up on glass) and i didn’t even heat the nail up hot enough to take the dab and the downstem shattered. Called back because for the second time i did not get to use my piece and they said “user error”. I wish i could say I had it for longer than 20 minutes before calling. Really bummed more than anything. Won’t be recommending them or returning.

Ill say one thing about this place. They are extremely consistent. Consistently rude and ignorant. Ive been in here about 5xs in the last decade. Every time I was treated with disrespect and regretted going there. The owner and the employees are some of the worst people Ive encountered in the industry. Im surprised they have a 3,8 rating because Ive seen how they treat other customers and I dont know anyone that likes this place. Learn how to treat customers, its a very simple concept.

Bought a banger for $5. They put it in a little bubble baggy. I went to put it away and it fell and shattered. Went in to see if I could exchange the item and was laughed at. Glad they are closing, horrible customer service. I was referring them and will definitely find a new smoke shop to recommend.

The only reason that I went into this place was to buy some butane for my cigar lighter. Apparently there are some unique laws around here concerning the purchase of butane and it is hard to find a place that sells it. The young man at the register explained to me that it is used in clandestine drug manufacturing.I needed to provide my ID and was informed that I could only buy 2 cans a month. He then made a comment about me going home and making meth. I think that I have a good sense of humor but I am over 60 and did not find his remark to be appropriate, especially for a place that sells drug paraphernalia.

Staff are real nice but the owner is very mean! Bought a vape, but it broke. I tried to get an replacement but the owner says they dont do refunds or exchanges. He blamed the vape pen breaking on me. He raised his voice to me. Very rude. Will not buy from him again. There are plenty of other smoke shops in Redding and they will get my future business.

Have some of the most affordable body jewelry and sunglasses around, and the store is usually always well kept and clean when I visit.My only complaint would be the customer service isn’t the best or most helpful when I’ve stopped by, but maybe I’m just going at the wrong times? Lol Been around forever tho and although I’m not a smoker I hear good things about their merch so it’s worth checking out.

I was so Excited to Win a Beautiful Art Glass piece! Yes, it was awhile ago, I won it from the Radio! I have had it Unposted for a long time, but, I figured it was better to be Late than to NEVER Show Up at all! ;)I LOVE this very awesome Glass Piece! I was so Happy to look around the Store and see so much Creativity and Fine Craftsmanship! They have some of the most Spectacular Art Glass I have seen!Store was clean and organized and the Staff was Friendly!Also, I have a thing for their resident Artist that always seems to knock it out and out do Himself Every Time! ;)

Theres allot of nice stuff. A little pricey. The employees either dont know what their talking about or they dont listen to the customers. I went into the Dark side a few years ago and it was mush nicer with more informed employees.

My boyfriend and I stopped at this place while visiting Redding and wow it has a ton of really beautiful glass. They even had Noble glass from Eugene for great prices. The staff were cool and didnt bother us every step we took but when we needed help they were right there more than willing to answer any question we had. Will hooked us up with a great deal on 2 pieces. We definitely plan on coming back next time were in beautiful Redding.

Its an interesting place to go. I dont smoke at all but I was amazed of the design of the glass pipes and bongs. You feel like you just wanna buy one cause its not so expensive and its so pretty.

Pleasantly surprised that along with thier large selection of pipes, bongs, dab rigs and all the accessories the prices are fair. Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommended.

Place has an amazing selection and most the staff is amazing. I have a problem with one employee. You know the big guy that looks like he is gonna molest your children?Was buying a piece from him and the guy acted as if I was waisting his time. I tried being polite and he just glared at me like I took a poop in his cereal. After I selected a few $200 pipes I asked him if one was a recycler and he responded with a yes like I was stupid for not knowing. Once I got home and used the piece I realized that it wasnt a recycler. When you spend $200 on a piece and you have a question about it I expect the answer to be true. I literally will tell that guy i d like to deal with someone else

Well this is California and if you smoke pot this will definitely gets☆☆☆☆☆for you !this place is a pot Smokers Paradiseand thats not a bad thing.cuz if youre into this then youre going to feel at home with many assortments of glass pipes and bongs .and all the other good stuff youre going to need for your hobby of smoking.But dont forgetthey also sell skateboards and other miscellaneous things like knives and whatnot .they have a lot of neat things not just smoking items....😀

People are always friendly there. The area is not the best but it has a very open parking lot and several people working at one time which makes you feel kind of safe. They have a very large supply of items. Something for everyones taste. Good hrs and quick in and out. Great place to buy some skateboard gear or a quick stop for lighters. The have large selection of fragrent insents. Fun to choose different ones every time.

If I could give more stars I would, a friend recommend me to them and I’ve come to them ever since for there Kratom, staff is very welcoming and friendly, highly suggest this place, I don’t smoke weed but they have a huge selection of pipes, ect and just a great place, great people

Great stock. Easy to find replacement parts here. Scheduled annual sales are terrific. Theres a reason theyve been in business over 35 years.

Dope smokeshop with big selection of glass and other smoking accessories. We came in because my girlfriend had been trying to quit cigarettes and we saw online they carried hemp cigarettes so we swung by. The staff was really helpful & friendly.And after slowly going thru that pack she is over a month clean from cigarettes and doesnt plan on starting again anytime soon!!Thnx guys!!!

Nice place. Mostly glass pipes. Seem very expensive, but its been around for many years. Huge markup on the bongs. Did not see any kids shooting up pot outside place as expected.

Hella exspencive, they have alot of glass because they cant get rid of nothing when they charge 300$ for a bong I would get in socal for 50$ and the dude that works there with the thick fram glasses has a bad additute 24\7. I would never shop there again.

Over priced glass.. this place used to be the greatest place to go for head shop type stuff. But now half the store is skateboards??? This is a 21 and over establishment... If you are over 21 and still looking to buy a dope skateboard then you first need to reconsider your life , second could never afford to purchase glass here. Horrible idea on there part.

Personally I hate the owner but the tated up gentleman and the blonde hippie are excellent every time I have gone in they are attentive nice and knowledgeableThe time I went in and spent some of the most money I have spent there the owner was there and gave me many looks and comments along the lines of o yea many people said they wanted to buy that piece and just rude and rude and rude finally I bought the piece but it was seriously the only time I have ever thought of putting a bad review on a smoke shop just because hes such a harassment

I recently spent a large amount of money in the Darkside Red Bluff Store. I wanted the return the item after realizing we did not like the way it worked. When i contacted the Manager on Facebook he took to insulting me, calling me a welfare case (we are in our late 60s and retired). He accused me of having a memory problem, among other insults. I finally had to block him from my Facebook because he would not quit harassing me. He gave me a solution he knew would not work (returning it to the manufacturer is not an option). He is RUDE and insulting, and AS A SERVICE TO THE REDDING COMMUNITY HE SELLS CRACK PIPES! According to his many poor reviews, from other review sites and google, the owner has been a rude jerk to many people who were just good customers with a legitimate complaint. There are so many other business owners out there who would appreciate your business and the fact you are spending your money with them. How he stays in business is a mystery, go elsewhere - any where else. The Subculture in Red Bluff is a good alternative. Much nicer people
