The Vault

This place was a blast. Great lighting, fantastic music, and a party atmosphere on a Thursday night when the rest of downtown was dead. Lots of fun. My only complaint was that the spirit selection was limited due to the small size of the place, but it was so cozy the ambience more than made up for the small size.

Food isnt normally served here beyond chips. but when Carlos brings by food it is always great. The service is fantastic whether its Brad, Joe or Chris. The prices are decent and theres always specials and happy hour. The atmosphere is always nice. the bar is clean and well kept.

The Vault is an amazing place to hang out with friends as well as they host a lot of different things from drag shows to drag king shows as well as art, comedy shows as well as great Dj’s too. It’s amazing to have a bar that is welcoming to everybody but caters to mostly gay people and also helps partake in the community, buying local and patronizing local businesses. The staff and the owner are great and very friendly. Also, it’s very reassuring that when you go into a business, it shows the care how clean their place is from the bar area, the seating and especially the restrooms.

From the moment I stepped into The Vault, I felt happy! Everyone is so friendly and there is always great music and vibes. Thank goodness Redding has a safe and fun space where everyone can be themselves :) Great service, fun events!! Ive danced the night away many times!!

Had a great time at the Grand opening on Friday. Sound system and DJ were topnotch. Good drinks, decent beer selection (all bottle and can, no taps). Friendly people. Such a great space that Redding desperately needs.

The Vault is THE place to experience lighthearted exhilarating love and dance (and so much more)…I personally host comedy at the Vault and have attended various different events… all I have ever experienced is open love and fun. I have played music there, been to art shows, enjoyed the ambience and amazing music and danced my butt off. It’s super fun, good vibes and I’m going to always be a patron of the business for so long as I live in Redding.

The Vault is the only “gay bar” north of Sacramento. The bartenders are excellent and fun to chat with. The drinks are amazing. I don’t usually go on weekends but, every weekday has a different theme and it is a very fun atmosphere.

I hope every one gets to come and experience the loving and welcoming vibe you get when you enter the Vault lol I’m bias to the music because I DJ there. Besides that the owner and the bar tenders are funny and cheerful and create and great experience. Hope to see you soon

I’ll never forget the first time I ever stepped foot at The Vault, I was in utter disbelief that a gay bar could even exist in Redding, the years I spent living there I never felt like I had a place to go where I felt truly comfortable and could be my genuine self until this amazing place became apart of the community. I could come there on any day of the week and have a great time spent with some of the kindest people I’ve ever met. I have brought coworkers, family members, and close friends to this establishment and every single one of them had nothing but great things to say. A special shoutout to Brad and Chris who have become my lifelong friends, they work tirelessly to create an environment where art, community, and inclusivity come together and make anyone feel welcome. Thank you for making such a positive impact on my life, you’ll always have a special place in my heart ♥️

My partner and I have been coming to The Vault since its soft openings in September of 2023. Brad has worked tirelessly cleaning the inside, remodeling, reimagining the space, redecorating and really curating a space that is not only safe and welcoming but clean, comfortable, and just plain fun to hang out in. Many nights are themed with specific and special events, from drag shows and brunches to comedy nights, from trivia to underwear nights, from leather and harness nights to local and out of town guest dj dancing nights, from art shows to karaoke nights, theres literally something for everyone! Bartenders are kind, witty, and knowledgeable in their craft. Here youll find an array of spirits, beer, and wine options. Drink specials are always changing and are nicely showcased on the board at the end of the bar. Drinks are fairly priced, delicious, and there is a happy hour on certain days. Parking is always free and abundant and the sidewalks are clean, well lit and feelsafe. They even have a new area outdoors where youll find a couple of picnic style benches to chill and socialize while enjoying your drink and the weather. This is Reddings onlylgtbq+ friendly bar and the only one youll find between Sacramento and Medford Oregon. Worthy of a stop if youre traveling and always a favorite among locals seeking a safe space to be their authentic selves in a warm and friendly environment. I just moved back from Sacramento and was looking for a new bar! My local friends gushed about the place and they were right! Good drinks, fun vibes, welcoming to all genders and folks!

To prefice, I used to be a regular at the vault and for what its worth, its not a horrible bar. My issue is with the tall, chubby bartender that wears bootyshorta all the time. My partner and I used to come in regularly, never caused trouble and always tip well so Im not sure why this even happened, but I brought my best friends to the bar for my bestie’s birthday thinking you know “its redding’s only gay bar, its all-inclusive” I went up to the bar and ordered 4 drinks for my friends. I walk back to my table and I can hear the bar tender talking down on my relationship with my partner to about 4 people at the bar I dont even know about things that are nobody else’s business but ours. I gave him a $5 tip and him and his buddies at the bar started laughing at me like he deserved a tip in the first place. Its funny how I came to Reddings only gay bar and the bar tender is literally gay and still prejudiced towards my relationship? Really inclusive and professional guys. I felt severely uncomfortable that the bartender would talk about my partner and I the way he did and i’m very dissatisfied with the service Ive received. We left promptly after the bar tender started gossiping about my relationship to strangers, which is funny because we had planned on spending a lot of money… way to lose loyal customers. As a queer Individual I dont feel comfortable spending money there anymore and would hope other queer people can find a REAL, SAFE place to drink.

They love people hear. Simple as that, straight guy who frequents the place. Never felt uncomfortable or unwelcome.

Absolutely love this place! Everyone is so welcoming, the drinks are good priced, and the atmosphere is super fun! I always have a good time when I come and feel so safe that I never want to go to other places in Redding. Its fun to dance under the disco ball, but they also have a back room now where you can have a seat and socialize. The owner really spends his time getting to know everyone and building relationships. They do events through the week as well that Ive heard through friends are a good time. Highly recommend!

Love this bar! It has been a very fun and welcome addition to downtown. The owners are amazing people and have filled a huge need in town. The bartenders are so friendly and personable. The music is always on point. The drinks are always perfect. The inside is beautiful. I am so happy people have somewhere to go that feels so safe and welcoming.

We stopped in late during a rainstorm and could not have had a better experience. Thank you for staying open late for us and chatting. What a lovely night. Best wishes for this great spot!

Love having a space again! Brad and the team have done a great job giving The Vault a great ambience and thumping music. Drinks are also fantastic and my favorite addition to the old “5” is the lounge room in the back with comfy couches which gives a nice break from the dance floor.

In the years I’ve spent going to bars, The Vault is by far the safest place I’ve ever felt, the owner and staff are incredibly helpful and sweet. The atmosphere is always upbeat and positive; I’ve stopped going to other bars on a regular basis due to The Vault. If you haven’t been you should definitely check it out :)

Great atmosphere and music. Dancing and another room with leather couches and chairs. Happy hour 4-8 Tuesday thru Thursday. Friendly bartenders Chris is awesome.

Wonderful place.

This is a MUST visit! My husband and I came here on a whim while visiting from San Francisco. We walked in to a crowded bar totally unaware it was the intermission of a drag show! The owner (a tall handsome wonderful soul) came up to us and explained what was going on and said we could hang out in the back and watch. He was so nice and welcoming! Someone bought us drinks (no one let us repay the favor the entire night!) other patrons offered us their spots!?! Everyone was so welcoming, and the entire bar was filled with such a warm, genuine, electric energy! It was one of those serendipitous nights that we’ll keep with us forever. We wish this bar nothing but success and we are forever grateful for tonight!
