I went for a full-body massage with Rose a while ago, and overall the experience was decent. Id say its a four-star massage and a three-star overall experience. Confused? Read on.Theres a couple of things to understand: currently shes the only employee there, so if the phone rings or someone comes to the door, she has to stop the massage and go talk to the person. If youre unlucky, this might happen 3-4 times during a one-hour massage. Oh, and because shes alone, only 60 minute massages are offered, not 90 minute (despite what their web site says).Rose always asks if youre paying cash, and for 60 minutes its $70, not $60 like their web site says. I dont know if they charge more for credit card use. $70 for 60 minutes is a bit high compared to other places that are more in the $50-60 range, but those places tend to pressure you to leave big (40-50%) tips. I tipped Rose $20 (a 30% tip), so $90 total for a 60 minute massage. Not crazy expensive, but not cheap either. What about the massage itself? Its pretty good. I doubt Rose has had much training, so shes definitely a masseuse and not a massage therapist. If youve ever had a truly skilled massage therapist work on you, youll know what I mean by the difference. One the plus side, Rose will work on the areas you ask her to, and she has a good level of pressure if you like deep tissue massage. She does a bit of Ashiatsu (back walking) as well, though again not with the skill of someone whos been truly trained in the art.Overall, Id be willing to come back again to see how a second massage goes.
Rose is the best! She will know where your pain points are without even having to ask. I would absolutely recommend!
