I think its odd Ive bought 3 apparatuses from here now that you no longer carry replacement parts for. its like you want the customer to keep buying new pieces, I remember one employee in particular who sold me the wrong coils I came back a hour later to return them and they told me theyd deduct the price off my second purchase, I then seen that employee whispering to another behind the desk checked my receipt after and I was charged for the full amount and they kept the item I returned. I will never give this place more money id recommend yall dont either!

I love this place!! The staff are always so friendly and helpful. I love hanging around and having conversations with them. They are knowledgeable about the products that they sell. There are so many neat and awesome things in there too. They arent just a head shop. They have crystals and gems, herbs, incense, books, posters, clothes, artwork, and so much more!!! Their prices are all pretty reasonable on their stuff too. I would recommend this place to anyone, its one of my most favorite places to visit!!

This store is awesome, with a fresh remodel. Nice to see business owners keeping their sales floor fresh and attractive. Great product selection here that continues to grow. Their products help me to manage severe anxiety and I am thankful for this store as well as the two locations in Lexington! 10 stars all the way!

Worst service Ive ever experienced in a smoke shop. Staff was absolutely unbearable. The woman who I had to deal with clearly had zero clue what she was taking about and made that everybodys problem. Absolutely useless, rude, and just unpleasant staff. I wouldnt shop here again if they payed me an endorsement fee.

A nice store with a decent selection but their prices for many things are almost double what I see in similar shops!

Customer service is trash here at this location. Employees are too high to answer questions. I asked a young man with dreadlocks the prices on delta 9 gummies and he couldn’t even tell me. Flat out lazy. The delta 9 gummies options here is a Joke. You can get THCA flower from other stores. Just not here. You can get delta 9 gummies without other additives from other stores as well just not here. Oh..and you can’t forget, you Can also get delta 9 drinks!! At other shops as well. You have to go all the way to Lexington to get better options. Every time I think this place will get better options, they continue to let me down. 😞

DONT BUY TORCHES FROM THIS STORE.They sold me a torch that turned into a flame thrower in a month and wouldnt replace it. They basically sold me a time bomb. Considering how dangerous torches are, its really disappointing to know they sell faulty products.

I would give 4.5 if there was an option. I absolutely love this store and all the products, however the store brand of cones arent the best quality. I got a pack on 4-20 and half of the cones in the pack werent sealed or if they were they would keep going out while smoking causing waste of product in the cones because you have to keep relighting it. All the employees are always super helpful and nice when you go in and all their other products are fabulous!

Reasonable prices and very friendly staff

A nice two floor shop that has a ramp that goes up to the second floor. Clothing, metaphysical, etc stuff on the first floor and delta products, mushroom (not psilocybin) and vape products are on the second floor. Friendly staff, very knowledgeable.

This is the best head shop by far. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and they have a large selection of products. Down stairs is all ages with incents and merch and up stairs is adult only have to show id and they have a huge selection of TOBACCO products and accessories. Its the best place around to get things to do stuff with.

I’ve got to say the experience of “The Bay” is one you’ve got to give yourself. The atmosphere there is welcoming and friendly. They have more items to choose from and oo and ah at, you can’t just come in and not find something “else” 😉 The people who get to work there, are very knowledgeable, helpful and open to conversation with their customers. It’s not entirely about the money honey. I dig it anyway 😊

Really lovely people working there. They always help with questions and recommendations. I’m always in there for crystals and Inscents and they have a really nice selection. Would love to see them expand the crystal selection and maybe even do grab bags with the bigger crystals. I love Botany Bay and I will always be a frequent customer!

My Botany Bay visits are always eventful and satisfying. I always leave with my intended product plus something new and intriguing. The staff are always pleasant, helpful and in a great mood. The store always smell great, stays stocked, has a great points system and is well lit and lively. The owner is engaging, caring and has made a wonderful investment!

Wasnt expecting to get a response to my five stars with no description, but then again, I did see all of the replies to the other reviews lol.This place is the bestest. All the workers are friendly, some more customer service friendly than others lol, but all super nice and will educate you about anything you ask.I know this really isnt the main attraction to the store, but Id still like to mention it. I super wish there was more metaphysical stuff for us practitioners of 🧙‍♀️ craft, specifically herbs, plants, and spices, more candles, gemstones, etc. The next closest metaphysical shops are in Lexington I believe. This place would steal my money on a regular basis if they had more of that kind of stuff in stock!Nonetheless, this place is definitely somewhere to stop if youre looking for some candy to have a super nice night with friends, some fun decor or clothes, black light stuff, etc. Really wonderful business!

I rarely write reviews, However,, My wife & I went in and parted as she was interested in a different rack. the first thing i saw was a rack full of Natural remedies in plain packages I had never seen before. I was happy to pay the low prices. I remembered another ingredient in my Pappys medicine! Then I continue upstairs to see the pretty glass stuff. I even enjoyed the chalkboard walls provided in the relief room.. I love graffiti! ENCOURAGED BY NOW! I spoke with the upstairs man for education. and traded stories. Then downstairs to get another education. Super nice young guy well spoken educated me on a product I had read about for hours. I told him I wasnt interested in a fancy package and I found what I had only seen in pictures in my study.. He sent me away with what I came in for & an education paper. I accidentally left with your pen. Im sorry. Its promo pen. I will give it away. And I listened to a regular local guy for a great testimonial for the store. I received a discount at the counter, Again she looked very familiar and friendly. I live nearly 4 hours away. I would make the trip and probably will just to visit this 5 star place. I hope you 3 remember that old guy! Young or old, you need to see this Place. Let him who speaks evil of it be ashamed :) I did not leave broke. I hope & pray you make a gazillion dollars and build on! or form a chain!

Me and my girlfriend come here all the time and we absolutely love this place. It has a variety of so much stuff, and the best staff around. Definitely would refer anybody to them. They have excellent customer service, and the best people!

The employees are always so nice and I could spend all day there. However, do NOT use the two parking spots on the right side of parking lot because you will get blocked in and have to get creative to get out 🥴

Coming from someone who’s lived in four states and experienced many “fun” shops, Botany Bay is the best by far. The staff are always so kind and helpful, the products never fail to satisfy, there’s a large variety of goods, and they now have their own site for people too far to travel to them. It’s amazing! If you’re really lucky, you’ll get to meet some of their adorable furry friends.

Love there new location, surprisingly I just went in it for the first time. But as far as creativity and service you couldnt find a better place. Still a little expensive on some items which they always have been.but here you are guaranteed to get a good quality product. So like the old saying goes you get what you pay for. But I absolutely recommend the Botany Bay, theyve definitely got something for everybody.

I love this place! It’s honestly the only store that doesn’t make my social anxiety flare up. All of the staff are such cool people, and they’re so, so friendly. Everything they have to offer is so unique, and I really think I could spend all day in there!

Ive been here a few times. Its the only place where I could find lip and nose rings around the area. They are cheap and break easily so I have to return frequently to buy more but as affordable as they are its pretty worth it

Great t-shirts, posters, jewelry they have a selection of incense and other basically hippie type merchandise. They have a cleanser if you have a lot of toxicity built up that seems to work fairly well. The CBD oil I believe you can sample, the staff is wonderful always helpful and always friendly. Location has easy access.

Upon arriving at “The Botany Bay” store in Richmond, KY, I noticed some things had DEFINITELY CHANGED since my last visit!! They’re now carrying herbs, resin’s, incense’s of ALL kinds and SO MUCH MORE!! I was elated and spent WAY too much time & money (the prices are FANTASTIC)!!

Although ive always considered Botany Bay a smoking tools only shop for the longest time, ive recently started to shop there and been pleasantly surprised. Of course, the workers are always great. Helpful, knowledgeable, and beaming in positivity every time i go in. But ive recently began to ask about products they dont currently carry. Not only did they apologize for not having them and listen to my rantings about the lack of metaphysical shops and supplies in this town, but they also wrote down the things i needed to their list of inventory to be ordered! Simply amazing customer service and very pleasant people to have to mingle with, especially to someone who avoids people.

Nice sized store, large for a head shop. But it gives more room so everything isnt crammed in and customers have a bit more room to walk around. I bought some incense and jewelry for gifts and a Zippo for myself. Good prices

Awesome New Location! The new location is great and the staff is amazing as usual! Had not been in in awhile and was excited to see and experience the new location. WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! Bought half a kilo of Mitragyna speciosa Korth and it is no longer weighed out in bags all pr-weighed and pr-packaged. Highly recommended for all of your needs to do stuff with. Selection is amazing. The people that work at Botany Bay Richmond KY are very friendly and knowledgeable about any items in the store and they are always willing to answer any questions I have. If they don’t have what you want in stock then they will order it for you and also have a decent selection of EJuice for vaping. Lots of different things in the store so stop by and check it out you won’t be disappointed.

I wandered in looking for a haircut. Surprise, not a barbershop. Then this lady appeared and said her name was Fraggle. She was very nice. I bet she wouldve given me a haircut if I asked. She sold me three vape batteries. Theyve worked out quite nicely.

Awesome place full of wonderful people. I went shopping for runes and new age stuff. They have a small selection of tarot cards and runes but it is a great place to get burnt stuff like sage or palo Santo. They also have a pretty comprehensive incense selection.

(CHANGED) I really like this place my only complaint is I feel like im bein watched like a hawk but I understand im sure theyve had alot of a**holes come in and take what isnt theres... Its quite a bit more laid back and now having the people there it feels more like they are there to help and assist you not to hover over you at every moment much better... Oh and 1 last thing theyre membership system I wish they would change it its all fine except that you have to remember your phone number you used if it had been a long long time since u had been in there and for some reason had to have your number changed once or twice and you cant remember what number you used them you lose anything you had on there I also think that every dollar spent should add up points towards gifts rewards discounts etc and say u got 100 pts. I think there should be 3 or 4 things to pick from in your tier like example at 100 pts u become a bronze member and dont make it confusing your dollar value should always be 10% of what your points reflect 100 pts.= $10 then in your tier u have the choice of $10 off or a special dabber or carb cap etc then your last choice should be an entry into a monthly raffle I think that possibly could get ppl more inclined to following thru also a membership may be something to look into and have a membership card and put a lil gate right before the adult area and u have to swipe card to enter

Its a great place to go full of wonderful people that were there to assist me I have migraines and they have wonderful products to help the pain go away check out their CBD oil that helps with migraines depression and so many other things as well as their section for spiritual practices. Best daycare for pet goats I’ve ever been to. They have a wide range of products that would interest any goat. T-shirts for goats, body jewelry for goats, books for goats, and even incense for goats. My goat has always enjoyed his time there, and I will continue to bring him!

The Bay is one of those places that you might not visit every week (unless you smoke hookah as much as I do), but you always want to find a reason to go back. The staff there are incredibly friendly and are quick to pick up on a face. It is a really special feeling to walk in a business after not being around for a bit and the staff being excited to see you again. If they dont have a product that you would like, they are very receptive to order ideas. More importantly, its just a really cool place. If you like glass smokeware, they have an entire upstairs devoted to that (check out the blacklight room). The place has naturally developed a bit of a particular reputation, but especially after their move across town I have never once felt unsafe visiting. They have all manner of product from tobacco and pipes, to clothes, hemp products, jewelery, incense, etc. Speaking of which, I think its time I dropped by and bought some more incense.

Done business here for years now before they were even at this location... I came in here today and didn’t have my I.D. on me because I forgot it this one time and I realized it when I stepped near the curtain area with the smoke stuff, I wasn’t even trying to go through because I didn’t have it even though I’m clearly old enough (27 to be exact) The lady was rude af’ to me and told me I couldn’t even stand at the entrance and wait on my friend so I just went ahead and walked out of the store and I won’t be back, I’ll find somewhere else to do my business even if I have to go out of my way to Lexington or shop online. I get that you guys have rules but there’s no need to bring that attitude, hopefully this review puts that chick in check.

They always seem to have a knowledgeable pagan on duty and I personally appreciate that.Most of the employees are very patient, willing to deal with a lot of questions.

These guys are sooo friendly! I honestly don’t think I’ve ever been treated so kindly anywhere! I am a fibromyalgia warrior and had heard that kraten (kretin...idk how it’s spelled) could help me. The gentleman helped guide me through the many strains of kraten. I felt like a fish out of water visiting here, I’m sure I looked strange lol but these folks are super helpful. This guy actually helped me understand CBD (I had no idea what it was), I ended up buying a bottle and I’m sooo glad I did! If you suffer from muscle pain and sooo much more their CBD oil is both quality and affordable! I didn’t buy the thing to smoke it...my children would be very confused by this, but I put the drops under my tongue. It really helps sooo much! He told me when you smoke the oil your pain is eased a lot faster though.

Lost my business when they profiled me. Maybe because I smoked a blunt and my eyes were bloodshot, I don’t know. But I’d gone in there like that before... was always loyal even at their old location. Took TWO great employees and one of their old employees that was also at the previous location and never wears deodorant.PS: glass blunts are online for 5.99!!! But I get it, you’ve got to make money... and probably racist too.

The people in here are so nice and very helpful! I went to get stones and crystals and they helped me know which ones were most helpful for me (and based on my zodiac).

They have a little bit of everything and if their is something your not familiar with or really dont know about they will explain it to you this is where I always go. Was actually returning a product we bought 2 weeks prior due to it breaking. Was told 3 different reasons they wudnt refund or exchange the product including it had been used ( well yeah we didnt but it to put it on shelf) then told by manger wud have refunded it if told em used it and didnt like it directly contradiction of what was just told by associate. Then manager said wud give good deal on different product. But that including me paying for something different when already paid for this one and used it like 4 lx in 2 weeks and it broke y wud I want another and still have to pay for it a good deal to me wud have been replaced the one that broke. gave refund or given a different one. Wont be back. When you sell a product ur company is no related to the quality of the product and u need to stand behind it regardless for customer satisfaction and return business.

Customer Service has been my Career for over 35 years. This Business has the Rudest Customer Service I have ever experienced. I surprised they are in Business and will be reported to the BBB.

Really cool store. Went in to buy smokes and found a little bit of everything. From pipes to frisbee golf discs, wizard figurines to hackysacks. Lots of water pipes and accessories. All and all a very unique two level store. LGG

Not AT ALL what Botany Bay used to be. Now all they sell is the same low quality cbd products you can buy in all the gas stations across Kentucky. Miss the the old BB, used to buy all my pagan jewelry and supplies there. Highly disappointed.

Horribpe they stope 27 bucks off us and when we went back to fix the issue we were told if we had that kind of money whats a few dollars missing what a rip off the copal didnt even smell right it we were robbed and treated like garbage by the employees
