LaVida Massage

I went in with pain in my neck shoulder and trap.My arm would go numb at times ...just a real nagging pain.Jenny treated me for 4 weeks , used CBD I bought there ...well I have total relief ...more and more weekly. I feel much better with no pain today!!It takes a commitment..I got every week and will slowly wean off two two or 3 weeks depending how I feel.Important thing I learned is you have to trust your Masseuse, go as often as suggested or how you feel.

Katie was great and listened to exactly what I needed. I had done 8 yards of mulch and was so sore. She helped me tremendously.

Ive been going to LaVida in Rochester for several years. Johnny is the massage therapist I go to most of the time. He is very conscientious about determining where he needs to focus each time. Im amazed at how he seems to find the root of a lot of my issues which often originate in other areas. Its refreshing to work with someone who is so personally invested in helping the client feel the best they can.Ive needed massage therapy for over a decade and Johnny is hands down the best massage therapist Ive worked with. Since my issues are chronic theyre much more difficult to treat, yet Johnny always has an upbeat, can do, attitude about doing the best he can!The whole team at LaVida in Rochester is a pleasure to work with when scheduling appointments, having to make changes, etc. When Johnny is on vacation, etc. LaVida is always awesome to work with to get an appointment with another therapist who has a similar technique to Johnny. Ive never been disappointed with the alternative therapists, like Vanessa, who theyve recommended.There are a lot of places which offer massage therapy closer to where I live. But the results I get with Johnny and the great attitude of the staff make the 30 minutes plus drive each way an easy choice! Thanks Johnny and the LaVida Rochester team!Doug M.

I have never walked away from 1 massage session where my shoulders were completely relaxed. I immediately noticed the difference when I left. I booked myself a prenatal massage to treat myself, haven’t had a massage in probably 10 years. I have been getting terrible sleep because I have to sleep on my side and I HATE sleeping on my side. It does not feel good on my shoulders or back. I called this location to see if they had a prenatal massage table (one with an indent for belly so you can be lying face down). They said yes! So later that day I booked my prenatal massage online. The day I came in for my appointment they informed me that there was another prenatal massage going on and the table is being used, so they’ll have to adjust for my massage. Not really knowing what that meant I went ahead. The masseuse guided me to the room and then informed me that I would be receiving a massage while lying on my side and propped by pillows. I was severely disappointed but proceeded because I know with massage appointments, hair appointments, etc they don’t get paid and can’t refill the appointment slot. It was pretty uncomfortable and the other side of my body didn’t really get done as I wasn’t told to flip over or anything. I just really wish they wouldn’t have double booked the massage table or at least called me before my appointment and given me the heads up of the scenario so I could reschedule. I did try to call and discuss my disappointment after my appointment and I filled out the survey, which said someone would call to discuss. Nothing.*Editing here because it doesn’t let me respond to the “owner comment”. Absolutely no one tried to call me. If they did, no voicemail was left and no one returns unknown phone calls without a voicemail explaining who they are.

Love Lavida. It’s reasonable for a massage and I always feel better and improved after going. Vanessa and Johnny are my favorites (I haven’t tried anyone else but I’m sure everyone here is awesome) and they ensure you are well taken care of and resolve any issues or pain you are having

Johnny is the man you want to go to here! He is extremely professional and goes the extra mile to make sure you’re comfortable and happy with the service. He keeps up to date on the most current training and is very knowledgeable. He is a true asset to Lavida. I moved a while back and drive 2 hours round trip to see him. He has helped tremendously with the neck and back pain I was having. I have been to numerous massage therapists and he is hands down the best.

Amazing place and amazing staff! Johnny was great and really took time on my problem areas. He gave great recommendations on things to do to help improve my body everyday. Will definitely be coming back to see him again!

Vanessa is AMAZING! She is professional and listens to your preferences. She uses good pressure and ensures to ask you if it needs to be adjusted. Her methodology for the massage is logical but she is also adaptive and she will follow your lead for areas you would like her to massage. She is also very friendly and very easy to work with. I would highly recommend Vanessa.

I love the services offered at LaVida. I have enjoyed each massage and most recently saw Vanessa. She was very professional. I have arthritis and she was super careful. Her pressure was perfect. Super nice lady. I look forward to returning.

My whole experience was great! Friendly women at the front desk got me checked in quick to my appointment. I had Jennifer as my massage therapist and she was awesome. She made me feel really comfortable, had relaxing music and smells in the room. She was very personable and friendly, we talked the whole time about so many topics. I felt safe during this pandemic and would love to come back next month!

Emma worked the front desk at this location and she was very friendly, knowledgeable and well spoken. Vanessa, my massage therapist was phenomenal. Very professional and clearly well trained in what she does. I felt at ease and safe during my session. I will definitely return and request Vanessa for my next visit.

I do yoga so generally my body is not too rigid. When I went to lavida Massage I had to ask my massage therapist multiple times to increase pressure but to no use. Not recommended!Anyways, I have bought an electric massager at a fraction of the cost I’d pay for a LaVida session and it’s far more effective.

Andrina is absolutely amazing. Fantastic massage as always. She spent a lot of time working out some severe knots. I know how much energy that took from her. She’s easy to talk with and makes you feel extremely comfortable. Highly Recommend 😊

The massage was awesome! I had never used Jennifer before. She is usually always booked, and I can see why. She had a cancellation, and so I was able to book a deep tissue massage with her. She was fantastic, made my muscles feel normal again, and provided a peaceful ambience. She is capable in many techniques.

Jennifer is a gem, and she is everything a great masseuse should be, professional, caring & kind. She is 100% competent & understands the anatomy of pain & pain relief - she is why I keep coming back! LaVida does a good job of making things easy for clients to schedule as well.

I enjoyed my massage from Vanessa, she did great and made me feel very comfortable. Highly recommend. The reception staff was kind and helpful at both lake Orion and Rochester locations. Will be back for sure!

Johnny helped me feel like new again and I’m 9 months pregnant. The maternity massage was much needed and he also had some very helpful advice for foot swelling and lower back pain. Highly recommended.

I have worked with several of the massage therapists at this location, and I have had great experiences with everyone. Johnny deserves a special callout, because he does a particularly awesome job! He truly is an expert who gets everything right, from the areas that need the most work to the right amount of pressure. Ill be a customer here forever.

I would give Vanessa a 5 since she is an amazing massage therapist. I will definitely be going back again! The only thing that I would recommend is that we all should be wearing masks right now due to the extreme communicability of Covid.

LeiLani is always fantastic. She really understands the ‘mechanics’ of the human body. She asks if you have any problem areas and addresses those issues. Very professional. To me, this location has the best therapists! Very clean & comfortable business.

I first tried LaVida when their shop in Rochester opened. Since then I have been going about once a week. The differences the massages have made in my body/flexibility is remarkable. I feel very comfortable when I go there. The people are very nice. The receptionist is always friendly. The massage therapists are very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend LaVida.

Earlier this week, I had the great pleasure of working with La Vida massage therapist, Nina. As someone with a history of sports-related injuries (lower back, neck, etc.), Im quite particular about who I work with on the body-therapy side.With that said, Nina far exceeded expectations and I will definitely be back. Andrina is a life savior! I had really bad migraine for 48hrs which no tablet could fix. Andrina not only did an amazing job with deep tissue massage, but walked me through the breathing process as well.I left Lavida with no migraine & finally slept well. I highly recommend her if you have any back, neck or migraine issues.She is the best!

Though I had purchased a number of gift certificates for others, I had not had a massage at LaVida until this week. My experience was great. Ive had an ongoing shoulder issue that I wanted to address, but still wanted the full body massage. Tomasz, my therapist, was professional, instructive, informative, and so effective with his technique. My body felt a little sore later in the evening, as if I had had a good workout, but also balanced, stretched, and worked just right. Ill definitely return for future sessions!

Im not one to write reviews but in this case I feel that it is well deserved. I always arrive early for my appointments at LaVIda Massage Rochester Hills and enjoy the conversations with the receptionist which always continues after the massage. Today was the second time Ive seen Christina as my massage therapist and the reason for this review. I had been bouncing from place to place looking for the therapist that suits my needs. Finally, I found Christina in Early December and I was extremely happy and relieved. I have found the right Therapist and new home for recurring sessions. Today I confirmed it. She happily worked on my knot filled upper back, tender forearms, aching lower back as well as all the other spots I didnt know needed work. It is the first time that I have walked out of a massage completely refreshed and eagerly anticipating my next appointment. Thank You Christina and LaVida Massage Rochester Hills.

After I got a massage at La Vida Massage in Rochester hills I signed up for the monthly massage. I have been going for months now. Everyone there is very nice and helpful they have a selection of massage therapists. My favorite is Christina. I highly recommend them.

LaVida was recommended to me twice, so I decided to try it out. I was asked when I last had a massage and couldn’t really remember because it’s been quite a while. Very relaxing. I’m wondering why I waited so long.

I always go to Johny. He is best I have been so far, he listens to my problems and then give adequate time and attention to respective parts of the body. He suggested me some stretching for my sour shoulder and its helping me. You will love him more if you are a dog lover.

Katie O is an excellent massage therapist! My issue with LaVida is the annual fee for the membership. You cannot cancel your membership over the phone but must show up to sign a LaVida form 7 days in advance of your membership ending. Why a phone call doesnt suffice is ridiculous and is LaVidas way to make money on memberships. I called the Corporate office to see if someone could work with me on this or apply a credit at least and their response was that its their policy, end of story. Lesson learned.

I did call you and email you. You responded with a canned response of how much my annual fee is. And now i am sitting outside waiting for the door to open for my massage. I am scheduled at 9:30. It is 9:24 and the door is still locked.

Vanessa gives a great massage. The salon is very clean and the staff very friendly and attentive. I have referred other friends also and they have been very satisfied.
