Definitely a 10/10 for their drinks! I love the vibe in there too. It’s dark with soft lifting (great for photos) places to sit and stand. They limit the seating area so everyone can relax. I highly recommend the Baus drink. It was delicious if you like coffee!

Hidden gem in downtown Rochester. Steve made sure we were taken care of . He was very professional and welcoming . Drinks were amazing I had the groupie love martini. Will definitely be back :)

The atmosphere of this place is unmatched to any bar I have been to in the best way possible. The service is top notch along with the variety of drinks offered. Christian our bartender was amazing, and made the BEST cocktails. So many different seating options that provided a cozy but sophisticated environment. Definitely coming back and letting everyone know about my new favorite place.

Such a cool concept. The smell of a barbershop may over power you at first, but after Christian serves you up some artisanal cocktails your senses are taken over by the craft of the beverage. The Tysons KO punch (shown in the photo) is a fascinating milk punch cocktail that comes out clear and sips like heaven.

Baus Barber offers a delightful experience with its inviting ambiance and exceptional service. We spent a lovely evening on the outside patio, sipping drinks and enjoying the beautiful weather. The staff was attentive and friendly, enhancing our overall experience. The location is popular and tends to get busy at night, often resulting in a line. However, the vibrant atmosphere and the quality of the experience make it well worth the wait. Its a perfect spot for a relaxed evening out, especially when the weather is nice.

Great music, amazing staff, good drinks. Atmosphere can be a little stiff at times, but staff smiling and joking really helps with that. Good overall upscale feeling to the place. A bit more dancing would make this place phenomenal! No food here, this is a cocktail bar /club. Or maybe it’s just me that wants it to be a club :))

Christian was the bartender and was absolutely amazing and accommodating. He sat down and spoke with me about my drink options and was able to accommodate the drinks to my liking. He explained the options and tailored the drinks to me. Never had a bartender do this! Therefore I will definitely be coming back!!

Every drink is unique! The Skywalker and life of Pablo are a must try! The new renovation definitely brings an amazing vibe.

A top spot in Downtown Rochester whether youre a local or visiting from out of town! The drinks here are complex, always full of flavor, and beautifully presented. Service is always stellar from Christian and Ashlee! The Still Mine, All Mine was polished, experimental, and exquisite. The Cartel Juice was vegetal, spicy, and refreshing. Really great bar! My wife and I went for a few drinks last night. Very creative space that doubles as a barber shop during the day. Great service, absolutely fabulous drinks - try the BAUS Brew if you like peanut butter whiskey. We definitely will be back.

Amazing time, found my favorite Whiskey/coffee flavored drink here and going to schedule for a haircut. Never seen a bar that is also a hair salon. Steve the bartender was very professional, dressed well, and sold us on coming back. Recommend 100%!

Such a unique, cute gem for nightlife. The baus drink and expresso martini was really good. They have a straight to the point menu. I wished they had served some snacks to soak up the drinks a bit..lol. They had a DJ there, and the customer service was on point from the time I entered until the time I left. Im so glad we found somewhere that stayed open a little bit later. The setup and seating are so cute and comfy, and the little patio outside is perfect for photo ops. I will definitely be back!

A pretty neat bar and barber shop in downtown Rochester.We came for drinks one night and overall had a good time. The One major issue we had was that for such a small lounge type feel the music was far too loud to be able to really chill and socialize, yet not enough room to move around or dance.Still, the drinks were nice if a bit expensive but thats fairly typical for this type of place.Not bad.

Excellent flavorful and unique cocktails! My second time coming I found myself really looking forward to trying something new and was certainly not let down. The staff does an excellent job of checking in and attending to everyone.

Cant believe its taken me until now to discover this chic spot for cocktails. Friendly service with kind and fun energy by two guys behind the bar. Ordered a shot during a stop on the Rochester Pedal Pub and it was SO good. Ice cold and tasty, with a fun sparkler presentation. I cannot wait to visit again.

Came here on a Saturday night when it turns into a bar. Cocktails were great and our servers were fantastic! Shots were a little weak but the ambiance was pretty cool.

After my haircut I walked over and had a beer at the bar. I dont remember the bartenders name but she was so polite and very personable. Actually I had a day where being on time was just impossible and the staff squeezed me in. I have nothing but good things to say when it comes to this establishment. The non mention of haircut quality is intentional, their status on that is in the name Baus!

The best cocktail bar I’ve ever been to. The haircuts are immaculate, and the staff is absolutely a joy to be around. Bizzy takes care of me as soon as I walk into the establishment offering the best haircut a barber can provide. I usually come here on mondays and are greeted by two bartenders (Ashlee and Steve) that have absolutely amazing personalities and skills. The atmosphere within this place is definitely something to experience.

Coolest vibe, you feel like you’re on vacation. The staff is incredible, the manger Steve took the time to great us and have a genuine conversation. We were lucky to meet Ashley the bartender as well, she made us the perfect drinks❤️

THE BEST PLACE EVER! Hosted my proposal party there and it was perfect. The vibes, drinks, and service was absolutely perfect. They were very accommodating and helped every step of the way. The DJ was great and the place is the perfect place to host any party. Had over 70 people and it worked out great. I highly recommend Baus for any private events/parties.

This place is literal perfection! My fiancé planned our proposal party here and it was amazing! Daniella and her team are so accommodating and made sure we had the best night ever. Fun place, great Negroni. 6 total drinks 3 of which were happy hour pricing...$72 plus tip. At an average of $12 a cocktail and having just come back from Milan Italy where I paid 16 euro for 18 year old Macallan and 9 euro for Negroni, I think michigan is a bit over priced for entertainment. That being said, take a look, go downstairs and enjoy the ambiance. Their cocktails are really good.

First let me specify that I’m reviewing the barber experience! I’m sure the bar part is wonderful from other reviews and images, but I’ve yet to try it.Anyway, I’ve been coming to BAUS for a little over 6 months now, and every haircut I get is fantastic. I was paired up with Sophie by chance the first time I booked, and lucked out because she was excellent. She knew what to do, asked for input from me throughout the haircut, and confirmed along the way if I liked how it was turning out. Conversation also went well, and never forced. So if you’re a bit introverted like myself, have no fear of being uncomfortable!Since I really liked that first cut, I’ve booked with Sophie each time since. Every haircut I get improves on the last, adding tweaks here and there as we learn along the way. I have fine hair, yet a lot of it, and it grows in multiple directions. So needless to say it’s a slight challenge to look right and the learning experience is really appreciated. Sophie is also excellent in receiving feedback from my last cut and asking how I liked things.I’ve been to many salons and barbers over the years as I went to college, traveled around for work, and finally ending up here on MI. This is by far the best barber I’ve been to! Overall I highly recommend both BAUS and Sophie!

We have been coming here for about 2 years now. All of the staff, both solan owner and barbershop owner are excellent.Definitely my go to place for full service shaves, hair cuts and drinks during it all!You do not need to get a shave or cut to enjoy their wonderful cocktail bar and chill atmosphere. Have a seat at the bar with Luck or at any of the other wonderful people there. You will enjoy your time and the company.

Yesterday was my first time having Baus Barber cut my hair, and they did an outstanding job. Outstanding service and quality cut. Super impressive. Chill atmosphere.

Hosted a private event here and the team went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of for all of our guests. The bartenders were awesome and the drinks were top notch. Highly recommend.

What has happened to this spot! This used to be our favorite neighborhood hang out. We have been going there since they opened! It used to be chill and super friendly. It has turned into a Completely different animal!!! Upon arriving the hostess told us we needed a reservation otherwise it was going to be a 40 minute wait... which is fine.... But since when do bars take reservations to get into the bar??? I always thought a bar was first come first serve... unless you bought bottle service... I dont know maybe Im just old school. This was never the case all the other times we had been there... but again it was fine... We gave her our name and went somewhere else until they called and we came back. As she sat us she told us we had a 90min time Limit. Again in the past when we have gone there this has never been the case. But we said OK fine and order drinks. We were ordering drink after drink shot tray after shot tray spending lots of money... I had just ordered a $30 drink and not even 10 minutes later our waiter came up to us and told us our 90 minutes was up and she was going to have to bring us the bill.. ok fine... But mind you I still had a full drink I had to finish so we paid the bill and we were trying to finish our drinks that she had just put down.. Then the owner came up to us and told us we had to leave because our time is up.. we said we know were finishing our drinks but he still was giving us a hard time... which now to me is not fine! ....this is just bad business sense... we are consistently ordering cocktails and they where expensive cocktails why in the world would you shut our tab off and make us leave??? If we went stagnant in that 90 minutes and were slowing down and not ordering drinks I could see you doing that but that was definitely not the case. Now you have just lost not only customers to the bar but my husband who has standing appointments in the salon will no longer be coming back. The friends we were with there were planning on having a private party here in March which they will no longer be doing. So now youve just lost good faithful patrons of your bar and salon. I hope your 90min was worth it.

A cool concept and a nice space. The haircut, however, was bad. Impressively bad. I don’t have a complicated cut, but Christian managed to really mangle it. He seems like a nice guy, but basic conversation skills are not his forte- like, he’ll ask you something and then 2min later ask the same thing.I tried the Rochester location after a couple of nice experiences at the Birmingham one- but this was a big disappointment and I won’t be back.

Interesting place as it is a Barber Shop and a bar. My boyfriend and I are not much for loud nightlife anymore, so we left before the DJ started. Drinks were really good and the place was very clean. Id go back for a drink!

When I walked in it was a cool New York city vibe with great music and drinks/beverages available. The location in downtown Rochester is ideal for me. Brittany cut my hair and did a phenomenal job. She was efficient and very detailed and suggested a great style. I was in and out within 30 minutes. Will definitely be coming back.

Me and my husband were walking by when the Manager came out and told us they had the best margaritas in town, we took him up on it and hung out talking to him about old Detroit and how you dont get service like this anymore we will be back to see Steve whenever we are in town.

Baus as a whole is the best barber experience. Now that they have added a location in downtown Rochester with a full BAR it has been taken next level. Never once have I been let down. The drinks are just icing on the cake. 10/10 wont go anywhere else.

Love the new unique vibe this place gives. It’s a awesome place to get a haircut, the Birmingham location can attest to that. Baus Rochester has such a cool vibe to it. I’ve never been to a barber that offers a bar. My experience was great from the receptionist confirming my appointment and letting me know that my stylist was finishing up with another client. I was about twenty minutes early for my appointment so I grabbed a beer at the bar. After relaxing for a few minutes, my stylist finished her previous appointment and grabbed me from the bar, which I though was great customer service. Brittney is a phenomenal stylist. I have been going to her for years and she always offers suggestions for new styles for my hair when I am apprehensive and she always knocks it out of the park. I honestly get so many complements on my hair from colleagues, friends, and family. Brittney is the most meticulous, attention to detail, focused stylist that has ever cut my hair, and I will continue to endorse her and Baus Grooming as they are a top notch operation. Five stars.

Just moved to the area had an amazing barber but too far to drive there for a haircut every 3 weeks so I tried Baus. Christian was my barber, he was 100% perfect in every way, fantastic cut, great guy, the shop is literally beautiful, nice small bar if you want a drink, bartender was super friendly I love this place its my go to for sure.

Lily is the best in the business and only person I let cut my hair anymore. Followed her from another place and even know the drive is further its always worth it.

Nice bar, drink prices are reasonable, but the seating is very limited and the space was fairly loud at the time we visited.

I’ve been going to the Baus in Birmingham and I didn’t think it could get any better, that was by far the best barber experience I’ve ever had and this location takes it to the next level. The drinks and service were amazing and I can always count on Amanda for a perfect cut.

My favorite barber moved from the Birmingham location, and this is even closer to work and home for me. Havent tried the bar yet, but its a cool location. If youre not getting your grooming taken care of here, youre wrong.

They say splitting wood is the highest testosterone producing activity. I say no. I say the highest testosterone producing activity is getting a haircut at Baus from Amanda Nestorovska. I walk in with tiny biceps. I walk out with..... probably the same size biceps, but my confidence tells me they are HUGE. Been going to Amanda for a few years now and I don’t trust anybody with a zero fade like her. Perfect every time. Extremely professional staff but also laid back. Also didn’t know the new location doubles as a sweet bar. Whattt. Do yourself a favor, book here now.

So I just got a wonderful haircut there by Bizzy and I got to say I am shocked at how great of a job she did, I go get my haircut usually by a barber from a different shop but she outdid him in every aspect and she knew how to keep a conversation going AND THE TOWELS THEY PUT ON YOU, ARE FANTASTIC, and if anyone wants the haircut of there lifetime come to this spot in Rochester and request Bizzy because I know for a fact I’m going there every week for a cut and a nice drink at the bar they got there

Oh my where do I start this place is horrible it was dirty. The whole place just wasn’t ran the right way management was horrible I talked to a guy name Steve that was working and he was just no help at all don’t come here.
