I joined their monthly club, finished my year commitment, and continued monthly. It was almost impossible to book appointments for when I needed them. I ended up saving up a lot of points and am trying to use them within my 60 days after cancellation. I’m hoping none of my appointments gets cancelled last minute, as that tends to happen, too. I would steer far away from Massage Envy. It’s worth it to pay more and go less at other massage places. The quality of massage has been very hit or miss as well, the latter being more common.
Extremely disappointed!! I had a 1:30 appointment. Waited until 1:50!!! to be seen. Had the 1/2 hour (massage gun) treatment. The masuse (male), appeared to hv never used a massage gun before??!! The treatment was awful. And, if you can believe this, only lasted 18 minutes!!! When I told the receptionist ALL THIS (honestly I was expecting some kind of retribution…. Free even!!!)….all I got was “will that be cash or card?”. Obviously left ZERO tip!!!
I made an appointment for my husband yesterday for a neck massage that was causing headaches. When he arrived, the masseuse was 10 minutes late to start the massage and ended at what it would’ve been the one hour mark from the appointment time we were charged an additional $30 for a hot towel and icy hot, I will never go back to massage envy and I would never recommend them to anyone. I can get personally a full body massage deep tissue for $95 from a certified massage therapist/physical therapist massage envy. Is a rip off scam that hires people who don’t know what the hell they are doing.
Went to get a massage on Sunday booked my appointment with James! Phenomenal! Got out all my knots in my neck and shoulders! Definitely will be booking future appointments with him! Thank you James!
Incredibly frustrated with Massage Envy. I have been a member for years and every year they decline in customer service and quality masseuses.I have had the last 3 appointments canceled on me the day of. Which is nothing new for them. As well as I have responded to the their text messages to book an appointment and they verify it but the day of appointment I apparently dont have one.This results in not getting massages for months. Im paying for a membership and cant even use my credits bc they continue to cancel or mess up the booking.They cant keep quality masseuses so when I find someone who is good I only book with them- as does everyone else. Which translate into that person only having availability like every 2 months.I will be canceling my membership.
I loved coming here until Thomas left. It was hard getting an appointment less than a month out but he was worth the wait. I thought it was because he was so great but scheduling is still difficult. I have seen a handful of the other massage therapist and they just aren’t nearly as good. Thomas was very good at actually working tight muscles and fixes issues. The other therapist just seem to do the bare minimum to get the massage over. I am absolutely crushed Thomas left. :( I have canceled my membership.
I just found out tonight that my original membership price went up on me by $20 a month after only being a member a year! I got no email, no phone call about how they were going to spontaneously take $20 more bucks from me - no one ever told me at the front desk last time I went in. I had to go thru my statements to find that out. This is the straw that broke the camels back for a few reasons: 50% of my appointments get cancelled on me, regardless if I make them a month or two or three in advance (Im a busy career single person - I dont have free time), then Ive had it happen at least 3 times the last few months that I get a cancellation text AS IM DRIVING THERE! thr thing the gets me about the poor customer service is that no one working there attempts to resolve the fact that they keep cancelling on me, then not having openings for me and so whoop there goes my month that I paid for. I probably lose every third month this way, so at this point, I think this company is a scam and Ill be officially cancelling my membership and telling others. Im likely to report all this, especially the secret rate hike, to the Better Business Bureau because this is just plain dishonest. I took the poor service because I told myself I was at least getting a deal... but now that they secretly raised the prices without telling me, this is a horrendous deal. And poor customer service is the best reason to stop taking your business somewhere. Bummer. I thought telling them about this a few times would mean theyd resolve the issue. But no dice. Moving on. Dont go here.
I want to say that I walked in the store, the customer service was a 10/10. Very friendly people almost bought myself a membership. Just your friendly neighborhood stitch lover :D
Can a manager please message me or call me back? I’ve been trying to get in touch for weeks and I can’t even get a name of a manager! It’s so hard to make an appointment and when I finally do, I get canceled on THE DAY OF! This has happened 3x out of my last 7 appointments. I’ve tried reaching out to corporate who has passed on the message to this location but still no contact.UPDATE: I filled out the form that the “owner” provided below. waited… no response.. I called in and left my name and number at least 3x and still no call after that. Please don’t do business with this company unless you want them to take your money and not provide a service!
Do not join!!!! They have no problem TAKING your money. But it is close to impossible to actually get a massage. I have been unable to get a massage at this location for over 6 months. And good luck cancelling your membership. I came in to cancel and the new girl that is left to run the place has no idea how to do anything other than take a message. I left a message. I will be surprised if anyone calls me back. THIS BUSINESS IS TERRIBLE!!!
I had a prenatal massage today with Bri and she did an amazing job! I couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing massage. And the front desk girls are so nice and made me feel so welcome!
I am writing this review because of the poor service from this location. This location is the blueprint of failed leadership, management, and supervision!!! The Massage Envy Franchise should be ashamed to allow this location to continue to neglect their clients. DO NOT visit this location for services!!!The staff is poorly trained, personnel turnover is the highest Ive ever seen, PHONE CALLS/VOICEMAILS ARE NEVER RETURNED (IF THEY ANSWER), there is no sense of care or professionalism to address your needs, and a MANAGER IS NEVER AVAILABLE!!! ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNACCEPTABLE!!!There are other reviews that address the same concerns. It is obvious they dont care about their reputation. This review will not address my needs or improve the culture at this location. I want to share my experience and to warn you before doing business at this location.Hopefully, someone will care enough to embrace the staff with true professional guidance, mentoring, and leadership.George Jr.
10/26/21 update: Extra charge has been resolved. Last massage was great and all seems to be back on track like it was in the past. I put the rating back to 4 stars for now in the hopes to make one more update in several months from now if all continues as per the last visit.9/18/21: Massage Envy claims and shared a statement that only shows one charge and claims they do not have a second charge from my account. They are telling me I need to go through the banks (lengthy) dispute process because they cannot refund an extra charge they cannot find. I shared the posted charges from them against my credit card showing the duplicate charges.9/17/21: After several phone calls and finally being told they would check with the supervisor on how to process the refund, I sent an eMail on Tuesday 9/14 as well. To date I have received zero communication regarding this matter and there is no refund / reversal of the charge on my credit card either.9/13/21: Back to one star.. I was notified that my credit card was double charged for both the tip and a massage transfer fee. Ugh.. I was just getting my hopes up as I was able to come in, received a good massage from Michellej and able to schedule two more including one 90 minute one. Hoping this is just a temporary glitch that will be resolved quickly.9/10/21 update. Increased one star: After 3 calls/voicemails and 1 email went unanswered I was finally able to connect calling from another phone. Plus i got in in just a few days due to a cancellation. I was also told the massage therapist i had been working with is slated to come back next month. I subsequently was able to schedule a session next month (with a different therapist) using their app and calling from my own phone able to change that appointment the next day from a 60 minute to a 90 minute one that became available the day after. Keeping my fingers crossed this improvement trend will continue.....Updated review from 3 years ago. I loved this place, found a great massage therapist after Lincoln closed and forced me to move to Roseville for a longer drive. Appointments started to become harder and harder to get by. Then CoVid hit... Put the account on hold for a period of time after several months of charges which I was unable to use due to CoVid risks. Charges resumed in July.2021. Trying to get an appointment seems impossible. Loaded the app today because phonecalls went unanswered. Only one appointment available mid October. Cant see the ~ $325 in credits i should have in my account in the app. Really? I know CoVid must be a challenging time to manage for them, but charging every month, even increasing rates and not being able to get appointments or callbacks from messages left just seems so wrong... The first available appointment at another branch is 45 minutes away and my normal 90 minutes appointments are pretty much impossible to find now. Now thats relaxing.... Ugh.
Great place to get a massage if they dont cancel when youre on the way to the massage. in less than a year I was canceled a total of 5 times and rescheduled. Two of those times were the rescheduled appointments. I canceled my membership got my money back and Im currently looking for a new massage place.

If I could give a zero I would. This specific location has been a nightmare for 2 years trying to complete a 12 mo contract. They are a rip off and their massage artists are not up to par. It is specific to this location and the franchise as I have had a wonderful experience at other locations.This owner and managers are horrible to deal with and unreasonable.
Youre basically signing a contract with them to charge your card for a year, if you cancel they will charge you more.Cancelation is not easy with them, calling them is not enough, telling them in person is not enough, emailing them is not enough. They will send you a pdf file and force you to sign it again when you cancel.This is basically the worst company Ive ever encountered and experience, like those phone companies that will trap you into a contract.Theres no easy button to get away from them.
I do have a favorite massage therapist but Im going to cancel my membership. This is the second time in a couple of months in which they called me a few hours before my appointment to say they need to reschedule my appointment as they have overbooked her. This is very disappointing as I book her a month or more ahead of time. They cant seem to get it together and this has been very frustrating!!! They claim there is an issue with their new scheduling system but they said the same thing a few months ago. Extremely disappointing!!!
This location used to be fantastic, but it has become increasingly difficult to get an appointment, get a phone call answered, or get a call back from a manager regarding my account. More than half the time I call it goes to voice mail. While you can leave a voice mail, its beyond frustrating when I cannot get someone to answer the phone during business hours.
Horrible companh. Dont sign up for the membership. If you dont use your massages in a certain amount of time they just steal your money. My membership was coming to an end and apparently the massages that I had accumulated over my membership would be unusable once that happened. You think they would give you a warning or a courtesy email but they dont. Corrupt company and they never give you your full time anyway. Tried over 5 locations always at least 15 minutes shaved off your time

Had Insane head pain where I couldnt even open my eyes without having shooting pain after my massage. This went on without stopping for about 3 days before it started to hurt less. Dont know what he did but never again.
Best neck massage ever from Rachel. She has almost cured a year old problem with neck pain for me! Better results than the acupuncturists and chiropractors I had visited!
Many talented message therapists ranging from light touch to deep tissue. Stretching & skin care available. Newly renovated lobby. I recommend Chris, Shawn or Scott for deep tissue work. Able to work with and around injuries.

So i go to this place just wanting to try this place out. I get there and they tell me i need to book online. The staff doesnt even try and work with me to just book then and there. Sooo i get on my phone and make an account with them and guess what? The dumb site wont let me sign on the account i just made.You guys lost this customer be your people are just relying on a website that isnt working.
