Walked in. Stood at the bar to order a drink. Was straight up ignored for 5 minutes by the bartender. Ended walking out as the bartender proceeds to serve others that came in after me.

Very open welcoming environment overall. Non judgmental atmosphere. Fire pit out back music good adult fun. 8/10

Negatives:Been to this bar several times and it’s hard to go as a loner. Although this bar boast inclusiveness. It actually hard to approach other patrons as it seems more than half already have groups and stick together.Weekdays are slow and the few patrons are kind of forced to talk to Each other, which is a good way to get to know some people and make connections.But if you go on alone on busy nights, weekends or theme nights out of curiosity, be prepared to be a loner all night. Unless someone takes interest in you, from either finding you attractive or from a kink perspective, and then strikes up a convo. I really hoped Bolt Bar Sacremento would be different but it is clique/click-ish just more subtlety so. Everyone is welcome of course and bartenders are diverse of different ages and races and body types which was nice to see. it just felt like alot of patrons choose to only see their friends or people they were attracted to.Positives:On a kinkier side I have seen some pretty sexy stuff go down here that was fun to watch.All the bartenders I’ve had have been super friendly, quick to serve and accommodating. If you can’t find someone to talk to there is aDart machine, a pool table, and multiple TVs (playing atleast 3 different things a couple of different “adult movies” and tv programs.They also have security cams that cover their parking lots, which is cool.Kink events taught here were inclusive, when I went, and where fun and informative. but once the group lesson ended, that inclusive feeling waned quickly and most instructors and seasoned patrons went to their preferred groups. I saw many of new people standing in back corner wishing to be apart of the group with wanting eyes. but don’t fret if you’re hot, or someone finds you hot, or you fit their particular kink you definitely might get an invite to the cool kids table😅🤣.

Such a delightful, clean and friendly place. It is always a pleasure to stop in here and just relax.A classic beer garden with the right kind of twist.PS: WARNING for straight or whatever you consider yourself in relation to the universe, this is a very Gay Bar. And by that I mean that Everyone is happy and gay here. If you are not happy or feel uncomfortable being yourself around people who are happy being themselves, please find another place to be happy; and best wishes to all in finding there happy place.

Absolutely one of Sacramentos best little secrets, safe 🏳️‍⚧️🌈Space with a Daddy atmosphere and a big back yard. (The owner is absolutely the best) this being said a great local club with the best people. Hi Marques 😘.

Very friendly bartender who makes one hell of a strong drink.. the back patio was huge with a lot of chill dudes hanging out n chatting. Kinda smokey out side Otherwise a cool place

Its my only other Home away from home . There are only two Bar Tenders who give you the time of day tho ... its clean, its fun , they do good things here to Help the community raise money. Its a Happy place until someone needs a Hand . Awkward !!!! Lol. Darts , pool , backyard . All nice ... 21 or older please .

Great gay bar, staff, atmosphere, and located near lots of fast food places! Theres always an event going on at the Bolt. The old historic neighborhood is being revitalized new home owners moving into the area and taking it over. Great uptown location off of El Camino and near hwy 99 -- just minutes away from busy downtown. Its probably the best gay gathering spot in Sacramento.

I think the best gay bar in Sacramento. The bar staff are amazing people and the bolt feels like home to me. They have events quite often. Like barbique, puppy play events and once a year Mr Sacramento Leather pageants.

Good hangout...back patio with a fire pit. Drinks are reasonable, but you cant use your debit card...gotta get cash from ATM. 2nd time I went to local gay bar that prefers cash!

Best place in Sacramento to get drinks! Great people and cheap drinks. Wednesday night pizza and Sunday brunch! Their themed nights are super amazing and they throw the best Halloween party!

Best LGBTQ scene in the greater Sacramento area. Bathrooms are not exactly trans friendly. Leather and levis are the standard but its a relaxed environment. You dont need to be in chaps to get it. Great backyard area.

I went on a preeeety weak night. Bartender was friendly af, and drinks were strong and cheap. I consider myself an advocate of LGBT rights, but had never been to a gay bar outside of DC. This one was dope.

Not appreciated with extremely rude staff for charging too much on drinks without letting me know. I’m deaf and I was trying to communicate with them about the transaction. They told me to leave without solve this issue. They do not have any empathy or compassion for deaf people. Unacceptable!!

It is a nice place to socialize and be with your friends, or acquaintances, safe and friendly environment, secure where you can be yourself. On Sundays they have complimentary BBQ and beer bust.

I dont know his name but he is popular. He is a white, bald guy with short almost stubble, light brown sorta reddish/stawberry beard and loght colored eyes. Grey or blueI was waiting to order and the guy in front of me kept on kissing the bartender and flirting with him well after he already got his drinks and passed them to his friends. The bartender didnt even charge him cause he was getting kisses and flirts. The bartender finally asks my drink even though he is still paying attention to the guy before me. I give him my order, he grabs one drink and then is interrupted by that same guy again and starts kissing him and flirting again right infront of me. Meanwhile there is a long line behind me. The bartender finishes and comes back to me and forgets what he was getting me. I told him to forget it and left.The Bolt just lost very good business tonight

I walk from Arden del Paso station to la Victoria Mexican super as I cross steet to take short cut to el Camino I found this plce was awesome bartender was nice was my first time in a gay bar had two beers cooled off then walk back to light rail station others in there nice but the urinal omg was very intresting lol new one on me all in all nice place for this newbie

The only gay bar left in Sacramento that have not been over run by breeders. This bar has the hottest bartenders and casual a tire is accepted .

Great place to hang with the Guys, grab a beer and unwind. Love the spot. Its a bit of a drive from Placerville where I live, but well worth it.

Its one of my favorite bars thats usually low key and relaxing. But from time to time has its spontaneous moments of wild nightlif fun!
