Best vibe. Perfect when I want to have a drink and dance in a casual atmosphere with casual people. Mixed crowd, and everyone is there for a good time. Youll always meet friendly people.Sometimes, the bar gets backed up, and it takes a while to get a drink, but thats too be expected.

Had a fun time watching Minor Fiasco play!!! Sound was great! Really like the bar atmosphere and the feel of the place. You could feel the nostalgia. Loved all the PBR stuff!!! Would have been 5 stars but needs a small late night menu. Christian was a cool bartender too!

Was walking around and stumbled in for lunch, best hamburger I have had in a long time! Great service and great old school atmosphere, give them a try you won’t be disappointed!

I went on a disco night no cover charge! Club is small but it didnt matter. It was a rainy night, not that many people were in the club as usual. DJ played good music.

This is it! Trust me, Old Ironsides ranks with the best old-timey -- family run since 1934 -- establishments in America. A cozy dining room, a historic bar area, complete with snazzy red banquettes, great exterior touches (that sign!), and really excellent food for the money. Efficient, friendly staff too. I had a lamb sandwich, todays special, at it was primo. I love this place. Just GO! Then head about 50 yards to Beers Books -- it could be the best in Saccamenna....

I’ve been going here on and off for years. They have open mic on Wednesday nights which can be pretty fun after a couple of beers and shots. Sierra Nevada in a bottle just the way I like it!

This was my first visit to Old ironsides for a private birthday party. I felt like I was walking back in time and I loved it. Im originally from New York and spent a lot of time in Chicago and really all around the world this place could tell stories if the walls could talk.

While Old Ironsides is definitely one of the old-time bars in Sacramento, it is not much more than what one would consider a dive bar. My husband and I went there for a special event, but I cant say that I would return just to hang out. I cant imagine the place with a live band! Your eardrums would be bleeding after 2 hours.

Everything here is fantastic except the prices. Great historic dive bar in Sacramento with good food, drinks, and great service. Unfortunately their process are not in line with a dice bar. $7 well drinks and $17 fish and chips. Even with information this is ridiculous. Keep in mind you still have tax and tip. The fish and chips were fantastic, but considering the location, $14 would have been overpriced. The well drinks should be less than $5. I will go back for a show and drinks occasionally, but this will be my d first and last time around in for lunch which sucks because I work down the street.

They have a stage for a local bands. Great drinks. I dont think they have food.

Spent the evening listening to three bands, Street Urchinz, Lizano, and the headliner Kashd Out. Was a great evening, good vibes and a awesome crowd. Great staff and my bartender, Christian, was very good. Will definitely look for more acts to watch here.

Local bands play here. Quite entertaining and intimate and the bar staff and drinks were great. No lines for a Saturday, although the Kings and Warriors were also playing in town. Good times.

Came here for lunch a few weeks back with my family. Delicious! I had the grilled portobello sandwich with greek salad. So good, not too heavy and the mushrooms will satisfy any mushroom lover. My son had a grilled cheese with fries and the husband got the meatloaf sandwich special...all eaten at super fast speed. Food, service and ambience couldnt have been better.

New owners not the same friendly staff. Visited old ironsides, to see what was new after they changed ownership. The bartender, wow what a grump! He was definitely not great bartender material. Bartenders should be able to create fun and friendly banter with their patrons and keep the atmosphere light-hearted. This guy geeze! Totally bit my head off. 😬😬😬😓😓😓

The new Ironsides has all the same great features, with the addition of red flocked gold wallpaper. Its still a great place to watch live music, with great drinks at the bar. We were ID screened at the door.

I was denied entry to this space from banter with the door man a 12$ cover which I had all intentions of paying because I genuinely wanted to be there for the live music. thinking I am just joking arround asking for a discount on entry security told them not to let me in. I dont know if it became an establishment of power dynamic for the security but at the end of the day and for what its worth I wont be going back. my loss for not being able to hear live music but hyped up bouncerts are the pits

Tiny place and no bar stools had to stand to have a cocktail. Very sad a customer got turned away because they needed there little bag that contains there Asthma inhaler sad. Very small stage crazy low ceiling over stage. Alright for a bar not so much for music

Ive been here a few times over the last couple of months and have enjoyed each time. The staff/bartenders have always been really friendly and quick with drink orders. The crowd has been great, no pretentiosness here, all different types of people are hanging out. If youre in the mood for a dive with good people, music, and food you should check it out.

This is a nice bar with a bit of a dive-y atmosphere that I enjoy. The bartenders are all really nice and run a tight ship. There is a great set of open mics for music and comedy. Their regular event Real Live Comedians is quiet fun and draws good quality comics. The venue if lovely for comedy and music. The performance space has a low ceiling and the set-up contributes to intimacy with an audience.This is also a great spot for a date or a small group for happy hour!

Great little bar. Could have better barseats. Headbanger music was a little much for Saturday afternoon. Still a nice place for a beer.

A terrible venue. Very little seating, and awkward space. The bartenders are nice, but the well drinks are so cheap they can give you a headache. And I wouldnt be surprised to find out if their wine came out of a box. The Karaoke DJs heavily favor the big tippers so if you dont want to drop a $5 for every single song, you may want to find somewhere else.

I was enjoying the musicians and admired the courage it took for each person or group to get up on stage. However, by 11pm I had not yet performed but several folks who were behind me had been called up to perform. I was not at all happy that the host allowed people to change the order of performers even though we all stood in line to sign up but when I said something he said he didn’t do it, that the people did it on their own - yet the sign up was in front of him the entire time. It was hard enough to build the courage to show up but I have a disability and being pushed back to 11:30pm was really frustrating. I hope they can honor the signups next time. Being new the impression was that you’re not “in” unless you’re in. Disappointing.

New owners, refreshed inside, same fast and great evening service and security. Updated sound system, went to see the Get Sets, they were great, check them out.

This is Old School bar with cheap selection to get a Cold One or hear live musical artists! Always a fun crowd, sometimes better musical acts than others but way too much enjoyment not to attend!

Awesome bartender (Art (loves sports)) who actually seems like he wants you there, who wants to ensure youre taken care of, plenty of locals that knew him. Good beer list. Food three times a week in the evening (different each day so complicated to explain here) so come thirsty not hungry although maybe youll get lucky and be there on a Monday when theres a guest Chef. Jukebox playing for free or for pay. Place has been around, and owned by the same family, since 1934. For ingress players you sit on two portals. An L7 and an L8 when I was there.Live bands sometimes (Fact: Cake played here.)

They did a remodel and it looks amazing great staff, the acoustics are surprisingly good. Will definitely be back

My experience was one I will not repeat as I did not enjoy the food , the ambience or the service Im sorry to say . I will say this the alcohol was top notch but its hard to screw that up and dont blame me Im only the messenger -!!!!-

Oldest bar in Sacramento and a fun place for live music and cheap drinks. Monday nights they have a guest chef serving something completely random and it is always good!

I like the Monday music played by the Marshall Tucker Band. Meatless Monday is special because local food startup companies provide the food.There is a community of people who I know who also come to the events

I was at the concert, I liked it! Modelo beer in a can $5. Very loud. Entrance was $15
