I recently visited Panache for a Blow Out, and I am beyond impressed! I had seen a post on social media about a Wednesday special for Blow Outs and decided to check their website. To my delight, they offer Blow Outs every day, not just Wednesdays! And at half the price of Dry Bar, the experience was phenomenal.I went in on a Friday morning and was greeted by the friendliest staff. They offered me water, coffee, tea, or bubbles, and I was seen right on time. The blow out started with an anti-stress treatment, which included a 30-second chair and scalp massage with soothing aromatherapy oils. The hair wash chairs were incredibly comfortable, and I enjoyed a double shampoo followed by another relaxing scalp massage with the conditioner.The blow dryer wasnt too hot, and my blow out was finished in just 40 minutes. The salon had pleasant, upbeat music playing, and I left feeling ready for the weekend. Booking online was a breeze – just choose your service, day, time, enter your credit card info, and youre all set!I cant imagine washing my own hair again while Im in town. If I could give Panache 10 stars, I would! Highly recommend for an outstanding experience.

Love everything about panache! Having received many haircuts from this staff. My wife has even brought me in for a massage, pedicures and a hydrofacial. I must admit it, my wife was right, what a game changer! 10 out of 10 would recommend panache. They do it all, their work speaks for itself, but their commitment to our St. Augustine community is what separates them from the rest! They are so involved and care so much! The best.

Yesterday, I had the most incredible facial experience at Panache Salon & Spa with Lisa! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. Lisas expertise and gentle touch made the entire experience so relaxing and rejuvenating. What I liked most about my salon experience was how Lisa personalized the treatment to address my specific skincare needs. She took the time to understand my concerns and tailored the facial accordingly, leaving my skin feeling incredibly refreshed and glowing. My hairstylist was Alyssa, she was absolutely amazing, very patient and friendly! I have had horrible experiences with past hair cuts and she made me feel very comfortable and heard. My hair turned out amazing! I will definitely be using her in the near future! I highly recommend her!

I had a deep tissue massage with Jordyn this week. I have had a very persistent issues with both shoulders and she did a fabulous job of loosening up the tightness. She was excellent at explaining what she was doing and why she thought it would help with my specific situation. I have already noticed a great improvement in Mobility and strength and I have been sleeping much better. I cannot wait to come back!

Ive been going to Panache an Aveda salon for over a year. The stylist at the salon are excellent. I go to Thomas, and he is fantastic!! My hair color and cut are always incredible. If youre unsure about what to do with your hair Thomas, can give you great guidance. Once you have Thomas do your hair, you wont be able to have anyone else do it, his scalp massage during the service will literally put you to sleep. I cant say enough about how great of a job Thomas does with my hair.

I had a hot stone massage with Kristen and I enjoyed every moment. Kristen was very sweet and made me feel comfortable. The ambiance & music was so soothing and relaxing. I will definitely be a returning customer and let others know about my amazing experience!

My wife and daughter are clients of Thomass and she referred me to start getting my haircut cut and styled there. So I went on their website and looked through all the stylists profiles and based on that I chose Sarah. Im so glad I did. Sarah is an absolutely AMAZING Stylist. When my appointment was over she explained and helped me pick the right products for my hair. Honestly, half way thru my appointment I had already decided to book again. Panache is the place to go if you care about your hair being healthy and styled properly. Definitely recommend hopping on their site and booking an appointment.

I had not been to Panache for quite some time, but it was just as bad as I remembered. The salon is too big, too busy, and way too fragmented. The best thing they could do is put the products in a completely different area than by the check-in. There is always a crowd with everyone talking at the same time, and it just makes you want to leave. A visit to the salon should be relaxing not frenetic.

During my vacation in St Augustine, I decided to treat myself to a facial and found Panache a short walk from my condo.I had a Vitamin C facial, derma-planing and brow waxing. Lisa was great! I highly recommend her and the spa. Very friendly staff.

I usually have a good experience. However, I scheduled an appointment for my adult son while I was there in person for the following Friday. When I arrived, they had no record of the appointment. They did fit me in with a different stylist 2 1/2 hours later.In addition, I tried to call the previous day to schedule another appointment for another one of my sons and the voicemail said to text and someone will return our message. I texted yesterday at 11:58 am. I never heard back from anyone. When I arrived in person they said they lost power and didnt check their messages until the next day.

I had an amazing experience with them. They made my hair (Dorina) and make up (Emilia)for my wedding day. They treated me like a princess,and both of them are so talented nice and friendly. Thank you so much again! I was very happy with the results. Highly recommend them!

Had a haircut and style, blow dry. Not thrilled with the layered cut, but it will grow out thankfully. However, I had not looked closely at my receipt for a few days, but when I did I noticed a $3 charge for Environmental Sustainability ! What?!!! This place is pricey enough, as a customer I do not appreciate an extra fee. And I might add, this was NOT disclosed to me at check out, so I had no opportunity to reject this added fee. That is not right.I will not go back.

Ive been going to Panache for hair cuts and style and pedicures for over 10 years. I currently go every 6 weeks for a perfect color and style. Ive had different hair and nail professionals over the course of my decade with Panache, but they are always friendly, professional, and highly skilled. Lately, Ive been going to a highly skilled massage therapist at Panache, who is helping relieve nerve and sciatic pain. If you are looking for the best salon experience in North Florida (possibly all of the state) then look no further than Panache.

I booked a 1 hour swedish massage with Amanda (I think was the name of the masseuse but cant remember exactly). She was amazing and took her time. I was so relaxed. I highly recommend doing the aromatherapy. When I go back I will book for 90 min. rather than 60. The serenity room (waiting room) was peaceful with complimentary tea, coffee, wine, sodas, etc. and snacks. Wonderful experience. I would like to try other services here in the future.

The staff is very friendly snd accommodating. Love the Serenity Room. The chairs at the sinks are so much easier on my neck. A wonderful experience all around.

I cant say enough good things about Panache and the welcoming staff. I got highlights and hair cut from Megan-Leigh - she was incredibly thoughtful and professional. I absolutely love how my hair looks and cant wait to go back!

Leanna did an amazing job coloring my hair and taking it super short for me! She explained the color process we were doing to get rid of the brassiness and to work with my natural color, instead of trying to cover it. She was very thorough and precise with the cut and she concentrated on all aspects of the process. I appreciate that level of expertise as it results in a great hair style! Honestly my stylist was super sweet and did a good job but I was charged nearly double what was estimated to me at the outset and the highlights were not as prominent as when I’d had it done with another stylist months earlier for half the price. Unfortunately, unless someone else is paying for me.

Wonderful experience at Panache! It is an elegant salon, dedicated to guests comfort. Upon arrival you are escorted into a beautifully appointed, quiet and soothing room, offered an array of beverages and snacks while waiting to be called for your appointment. I had Aysel do my nails and the vibe in the room with the other nail techs and guests was fun! Lots of laughter and great conversation if you were inclined to join in or a quiet corner where you could relax and enjoy your Mani/pedi. I was expecting pricing to match the modish, decorous, lovely experience Panache had to offer, but was pleasantly surprised to find prices equal to the plethora of walk in salons you’ll find up-and-down A1A in St Augustine.

I love going to panache. They are conveniently located next to Publix and Starbucks on Anastasia island. The Stylist are very talented and never disappoint. They also have a beautiful serenity room with a peaceful atmosphere and drinks and snacks to enjoy while you wait.

Megan Leigh is a LEGEND! I have never felt as beautiful as I did after she was done with my hair. I had no idea what I wanted but she knew just what to do with the cut and color. I couldn’t stop staring at it. She and her work are so amazing and deserve recognition. I felt like I was chatting with a beautiful friend that I had known for a long time. I will definitely be going back. I wish that I would have known her when I got married over a decade ago, I felt prettier walking out of the salon than I did on my wedding day! This place is like a little piece of heaven. The staff make you feel amazing. Its a relaxing atmosphere and Ive never had such warm and friendly, professional service. They make you feel refreshed and feel like a new person when you are done . If youve never had a hydro facial, you absolutely need to treat yourself to one. I love Panache. It took me a bit of time to find a hair salon that made me feel amazing. The staff is very nice and the stylists Ive had so far have been great for my cut and color needs. They have stylist tiers so you can match your needs and budget to the mastery of the stylist. My personal favorite is Megan-Leigh! She is AMAZING with color, cuts, styling, and loves her career. It shows through in her work.

This Aveda Salon & Spa in St. Augustine is AMAZING! My hair gets a base color and blonde highlights. Sometimes I get lowlights. So the formula is not always the same. The stylists take time to listen and understand my needs before formulating the color. I also love how my hair is styled at the end.The Serenity Room is fabulous. It has relaxing music, Chex party mix, M&Ms, biscottis, coffee, Aveda tea, sparkling water, and champagne.The shampoo bowl does not hurt my neck and the chair has a leg lift massage option.Special mention about Lucero because she is an expert with color and goes above and beyond with a thorough scalp massage and includes essential oils with the hot towel wrap. ❤️

I had my hair done with Amelia today, she did an amazing job! The salon is very clean and I felt very safe there with everyone wearing masks and cleaning as clients cycled through. The staff is extremely friendly and I’m so happy with how my hair looks and how reasonable it was. Definitely recommend!

I got the royal treatment. It was so nice. I laid back in a massage chair while getting my hair washed and had a scalp massage too. How relaxing! My haircut was perfect.

Hmm...Ill try to be objective, keeping in mind that I factor more into a salon review than just the haircut. First, the stylist did a great job. My sons cut looks great. It was a pretty simple straightforward cut, nothing fancy and no highlights or layers or anything. The wait was not long. The stylist was not talkative at all, according to my son. The cost of the cut was $34, and $40 with the tip. So the goal of getting his hair cut was accomplished. Nothing more, nothing less. Will we go back? No, unless like this time, our regular stylist isnt available. The stylist we usually go to charges $15 (which I know is low), so i pay $25 with tip, she is super personable, and she does an amazing job. Perhaps Im cheap, but I just think $40 for a simple boys cut is outrageous.

Booked a last minute appointment for a haircut and had such a wonderful experience. I appreciated that all stylists and clients were wearing masks and there was a waiting area outside so that too many people werent crowding areas of the salon. All the nice details - aromatherapy scalp massage, massage chair while getting my hair washed, hot towel - loved all of it. I was only in town for a wedding, but if I am ever back in the area, I would definitely come back to this salon - highly recommend!

I was in St. Augustine for vacation and needed my hair trimmed. I’ve been growing my hair out from a pixie cut that I’ve had for over 20 years. Amelia is the best!!! She gave me a wonderful trim and she was incredibly friendly!!! I’m considering traveling over 3 hours away from where I live just to have Amelia do my hair. She is excellent!!!

5-stars for Panache for sure. I was lucky enough to get fit in for a massage yesterday at the last moment within a few hours of calling. Went in feeling sore and had a tension headache I couldn’t shake. Left there feeling refreshed. (Almost fell asleep during the massage for that matter.) Truly a great experience! Everyone is always professional and positive.*But that new addition tho … just stellar. 🙌🏼Highly recommend to treat yourself.

I just had my first deep tissue massage at Panache on Saturday and it was phenomenal. My masseuse Kristen listened to where I had specific knots and managed to get ALL the tension out of my shoulder for the first time in years. Ive had other massages elsewhere and they usually get some of the knots and the tension returns in a few hours or the next day. Im still not sore and its Monday! The spa rooms are quiet and dimly lit so you can just nap like I like to. I also get my hair cut here regularly, and Ive had a few different stylists over the years and am never disappointed. KD is a vivacious perfectionist who is good at both short and long cuts. She makes my flat straight hair have volume and shape and I love it! She books up quickly though so she isnt available last minute.

Got a blow out and a hair cut with Tonya. She got exactly what I asked for and it was perfect. Amazing layers. Totally loved the cut and the blow out. She is amazing and so cool and upbeat. I have found my new hair person. Thank you. Tonya. So many more kli the. Just five stars.

It was my first time with Tonya for a mid-length bob and highlights. She did an amazing job! I could not be happier and feel like a new person. Panache is always amazing, but they also have massaging shampoo chairs and the combo between having someone wash my hair while getting massaged was heavenly.

I ❤️ how I can book a mani or pedi and actually get it at the time I booked it, with the person I booked it with! Unlike the other nail salons in town. Hair appts yes that is the norm but not with Mani/Pedi. Also the technicians are much more gentle and careful at Panache. It is worth the extra money paid because you are getting a far superior experience and result. Also I love my hairdresser Megan Leigh!! Great honey blonde highlights and haircuts. I dont usually offer reviews but I am so very happy with the services I received yesterday at the Panache Aveda Salon at St. Augustine Beach that I had to share. Specifically, my stylist Crystal, provided an excellent experience - she listened, she asked questions, and she went out of her way to get it right. I am new to the area and was apprehensive about going to someone new (I know, weve all been there) but Crystal and the staff at Panache were incredibly professional, especially with the challenges COVID-19 has imposed upon business. The salon is spacious, clean, and all did their best to be welcoming while observing mask and hygiene rules. My color came out beautifully and I love the style. Thank you!!

First visit today, and wont be going anywhere else! Receptionist was kind and bubbly, and the salon was peaceful and relaxing. Kara was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what I wanted, despite my ability to clearly convey. She was also very kind, and I enjoyed our time together. By far the best salon Ive ever been to! Great color and cut every visit and I am able to fully enjoy every comfort available from the quiet of the serenity room during processing to the massage chairs at my shampoo. I especially love my stylist Sara as she makes every effort to accommodate my schedule.

I had an amazing experience with Kayla. We just moved to the area, and finding a stylists is always so daunting. Kayla, took her time talking with me about what I wanted, and did a fantastic job. I love the cut, and my two daughters said they want their hair cut the same way when I got home 🤣.

I went to Panache May 27 and was pleasantly surprised at their efforts to encourage social distancing and make sure people entering the salon did not have symptoms of Covid 19. They took your temperature, had you complete a questionnaire regarding symptoms, had you wash your hands at a hand-wash station, and required clients and staff to wear masks.Elizabeth, who has 8 years of experience and is new to Panache, cut my hair. She did a wonderful job of listening to what I wanted and asking questions. The cut looks great.

I originally found Panache for waxing. Donna is an excellent aesthetician. The spa area is very calming and lovely. The offerings at Panache are all-encompassing, from waxing, facials, nails and hair. The prices are reasonable. The products available are the highest quality.

Mandy does my lashes and she is amazing. Her work is beautiful. She is professional and a joy to be with. An hour on Mandy’s table to get my lashes done is one of the most relaxing experiences. And most importantly my lashes look amazing. They look like my own lashes but long and beautiful. I get compliments on them all the time. Thank you Mandy! 😁

The scalp massage during the wash was luxurious. The products used were great - not heavy/felt good in my hair and also worked. The stylist knew what they were doing with my curly hair and let me be me, ie. didnt make me talk and let me just rest and be pampered. :) Thanks Phili.

In the past month I have had my hair cut and colored by Carissa. I am growing out a pixie and also letting my gray grow in. Carissa took the time to understand exactly what my goals are. My cut is perfect and the silver color she weaved through my hair is beautiful. I recommend her highly to anyone looking for a new stylist. And even better, she is a very beautiful person.

I’ve been getting haircuts from Mario for several years. He is the greatest. Also Marilyn did a superb Mase dish massage. Best I’ve ever had.

I received services from Megan Leigh for a balayage.  She performed my balayage around a year ago and it was fine.  This time, my balayage was not to my satisfaction.  Brassy orange with the strand right in front of my face.  I didn’t take a good look until I got home and saw it close up in the mirror.  The whole weekend multiple people asked me what’s wrong with my hair.  I reached out to the stylist and she said “I apologize, I can try to fix it. And she asked me not to contact her directly and to contact the store.  I did just that.  I reached out to the store and the head of customer service, Pat, called me back.  I asked if the stylist felt comfortable fixing it or if she recommended someone else (the stylist herself said she would send me to someone else).  Pat said she would ask and call me back.  Pat called back and said only Megan would fix it.  When I asked if she felt comfortable, Pat said that “no she did not feel comfortable doing it”.  I asked if someone else would in the salon and she said “no”.  So I asked her what she recommends in this situation and she said “you can find another salon.  Don’t come back here again”. I asked if I can speak to the owner and she said the owner asked her to call me and “no”.  She proceeded to hang up on me in the middle of my sentence.I at least give them credit for refunding some of the charges.

Always a wonderful relaxing experience. Tonya is wonderfully gifted and never lets me down. Also, coming back to salon in nearly six months, I felt safe and protected because it was obvious that the staff took mine and their own safety seriously. From the hand washing station at the door, to the screens between the stations, Panache has gone above and beyond.

The salon is clean and up to the COVID-19 recommendations. They also take your temperature and require a mask (give you a mask if you don’t have one) before they let your stylist know you have checked in at the front desk.The prices are up to par with other upscale salons. Very friendly, accommodating and professional.

I have been a Panache customer for several years for mani/pedis, hair cuts and coloring and massages. It has always been a very pleasant experience with quality service and products. The staff are always working hard to make sure that you are very pampered on your visit. I think that the price is reasonable for the level of service that you get. My friends and husband know to get me Panache gift cards for special occasions.

I called to make an appointment for a pedicure. The receptionist was helpful, friendly, and efficient. I arrived a bit early for my appointment and was offered water; nice waiting area, those leaving seemed very pleased with their service. All of that was encouraging. Fifteen minutes past my appointment time I told the receptionist that I would not wait any longer and left. If this wait was unusual, someone should have checked in with me and told me what was going on. As no one seemed to notice or be concerned that I had been waiting long past my appointment time, I guess it is typical and accepted.

This was a Bachelorette weekend for my BFF. 8 of us had a combination of facials, manicures, pedicures, and massages. Michelle was wonderful to work with over the course of planning and preparation and made accommodations for all our needs. The Serenity Room was perfect for our group. What a relaxing day. Carly, Thomas and the rest of the staff were all awesome and super friendly too. Highly recommend this business.

I have been reluctant to have my hair cut for a very long time and it was basically down to my waist and was thinning, gray..basically I had everything going wrong but Thomas at Panache is a genius and transformed me! It was heavenly! The stylist was a perfect match for me. I used their service provider matchup on their website, and was extremely pleased either the match that is made!

Went here over a week ago. Apointment was for 1PM, my person was not available until 2. Didnt bother to call or do anything, upon arrival I was told Shell be another hour. I inquired further since I made this appointment weeks ago and said that the person she was working on was schedule 30 mins before me for a hair color.. and that it was an overbooking. Basically told me I could either wait outside or reschedule (Yes, lets wait where its 100 feelslike outside because no one could bother to call..)I live over an hour away from this place. So the fact that no one up front saw this as an issue and they basically just said sorry, was disgusting. The upfront people lack people skills when things get heavy and Ill certainly never go back to this place nor suggest it to my family or friends.Then comes the actual appointment. Woman left for 25mins during putting foils in to talk to another stylist. Saw them laughing and joking while I sit here waiting.. after being an hour late already.Went to pay, way over the price I was told initially, stylist said Oh yeah we had to use more product than we thought. Normally youd tell your client this since its a difference of 100 dollars vs 200.Tipped nothing because from start to finish I felt disrespected, ignored and like a third class citizen. Insane how this place stays in business.

Horrible service, ruined my hair, did nothing nice, didn’t listen to what I wanted cut and butchered it, I would never go back and then charged me $260 and did even blow dry my hair, worst salon I’ve ever been to!!! I look awful!!!!!!

I had a Hot Bamboo massage with Sterling and it might have been the best massage Ive ever had! I could literally feel the heat and the pressure from the bamboo rolling out and smoothing out my muscles. I am very active and have very tight muscles so it takes some work for me to get good relief from a massage. The heat, bamboo, and firm pressure Sterling applied were a magical combination. I HIGHLY recommend!

Received a gift certificate from my loving grandchildren. What a wonderful experience. Sterling gave me a Swedish massage that was awesome. Mandy and I discussed a in-depth facial as opposed to a mircodermabrasion treatment. She did a wonderful facial but in retrospect i think I would have enjoyed the results of the mircodermabrasion more. Felt relaxed and refreshed after both. The staff were so nice. What a great day!

In May before my college graduation I had full highlights and low lights done on my hair at Panache. The experience was good minus the front desk ladies but over priced. Last week I had my hair done (I asked for the same) but the stylist did partial highlights and less toner (basically a touch up) but I still paid the same price.. when asked to clarify the front desk was not very helpful. I got my hair previously done in Orlando in a salon in Winter Park (Capricci Ricci Salon) for the same price and MUCH better service. The staff are more welcoming and you get exactly what you want. I recommend making the drive to Orlando!!

I have been going to Panache for about two years. I have been satisfied with the service. Recently, the price of hair cuts increased to $65. I didnt pay that in Boston. Sorry, but I need to find a more reasonable place for a simple trim.

I apparently had an appointment I forgot about with all the personal issues I’m going through. Panache sent 0 reminders and threatened to charge me the full Amt and cancellation fee. They didn’t do their jobs, threatened me, and I will dispute anything they attempt to charge. What jerks!!!! I will never be back!

The before and after comparisons of my appearance always lift my spirits!I was greeted warmly on a very cold windy day by Megan who brought me a cup of delicious herbal tea. She did a spectacular job on my highlight color! My favorite part of my experience was while laying back in that shiatsu chair while Meg massaged my scalp to wash n rinse! Ohmygoodness! 7th Heaven! Best salon in town. When I first moved to St Augustine, I tried at least five other salons before someone suggested Penache. That was the best advice I’ve gotten because Kristina is great with my hair, everyone is welcoming and the rates are reasonable. Everything you could ask for.

Robin took care of my hair. She is excellent thankful for her craft. Awesome individual. Michelle, the co-owner is exceptional goes above and beyond to take care of the customer.

Ive been to Kayla several times now because she is the only stylist who has ever been able to get my hair the blonde color that I want. Plus shes super sweet and funny. Her specialty is getting dark haired girls like me the California color blonde that we desire to be!

Very impressed with how proactive they are to stop spread of virus. Lucero did my cut & i am very happy with it. She listens to your preferences & goes from there. Unfortunately, music was much to loud & acoustics not good in this shop. It seems like you can hear every conversation around you. Add the blowers going to the mix & it doesnt make for a relaxing visit.

Michelle was awesome, Im a male that has transitioned from barbershops to salons because of my mid length hair and it came out great. This place also goes extra lengths to protect the health of their clients and workers.

I have been going to Panache for about 2 years now. Love the way Juliana cuts my hair but on my last visit it was in the evening and I received the absolute worst haircut in my life. I had to come home and start chopping on it. What a waste of time and money.

The shampoo was amazing! But more than that, ML really listened to me, transforming my vague request for a wispy pixie into a wonderful, excellent, much appreciated short haircut. Love it!

Heaven help you if you have to re-schedule. They lost a customer today mainly because of a “oh well” attitude. I actually tried to get an appt with another stylist. She just kept the same attitude. So if she doesn’t care..why should I?

I walked in to get my eyebrows done. I am not new to this. Simple easy and fast. The rude lady at the front told me that the only person there was doing a facial and they were closing at 7...which was more than half an hour away. The girl had even walked by while I was standing there looked like she was going to. I dont know what the lady at the desk was doing so important. Then proceeded to tell me not Only closed today but I couldnt come back for a week. I was out of town for the weekend and in an emergency situation. All women can relate! Rudeness is not ok in customer service! I wont be back.

I went in for a nail fill and left very unhappy. The lady filed my acrylic down to eggshell thin on some fingers. It has already broke on my pointer finger. The polish was tacky when she said I was good to leave. The polish was ruined by the time I got into my car. I will never go back to this salon.

Decent for hair, absolutely terrible for everything else. My sister came here for some face waxing a few days before her wedding. They double-dipped, didnt use powder (so the wax adhered to her skin and not just the hair) and ripped off whole patches of her skin in many areas. She still has scars weeks later. She was in tears and shaking when she came home. This place is disgusting, unhygienic and cruel. Their licenses need to be checked because they did everything you are not supposed to do during a face wax, they double-dipped which is nauseating and ruined a bride to bes face without any care. Luckily for the immediate day of the wedding it was alright because we have 4 physicians in the family (including the bride and groom, maybe the technician was bitter) who immediately iced her, got a steroid cream etc but a few days after the wedding the massive damage was apparent. Horrible people here.

I have been going to this salon for 3 years. Staff is super friendly. My stylist is very knowledgeable. I have never walked out without feeling I got the best products and service possible.

My haircut was scheduled for 45 minutes for $48 dollars. it took 30 mins and i asked for it to be curled after only to be told it’d be an additional $30 just to curl it. not only that, but it came out blunt ,choppy, and uneven. never doing that again. i’d like to thank phili for ruining it further after i came in for it to get fixed again

I had my first experience here about a few weeks ago. I sat in the waiting room for almost twenty-five minutes after arriving for my appointment for a trim. Before the stylist even saw me, she sent another stylist out just to tell me that she doesnt do African-American hair. I told the messenger stylist to let her know that my hair is flat ironed/straightened (not beautifully kinky as she assumed based on my ethnicity, although I am natural), and she did. Its almost as if she asked the messenger stylist is she black? or something (as if it matters)... When the messenger stylist returned, she told me to come on back to have my hair trimmed (yes the flat ironed, straightened version of my hair, not the kinky version). Ummm.. What? Oh so now its okay? And the entire time she trimmed my hair, I sensed so much attitude and resentment for absolutely NO reason at all when SHE was the one being rude.. Like get over yourself... In my opinion, it would have been so much easier to not be lazy and just come out to take a look at my hair yourself rather than send someone else to tell me that you do not do African-American hair (whatever that means), which by the way comes in MANY different textures, not just one, and then basically just wanted to send me on my merry way. All of this could have been easily avoided and handled differently if only the stylist had a true passion for actually doing her job. In this day and age.. and country, Ive never heard of any particular race only business.......... I can see if I had dreads or really tight curls. But even then, the correct statement should be: I do not specialize in or know how to do/work with dreads or tightly curled hair, not African-American hair... Because not all African-Americans have dreads or tightly curled hair of course............... But anyways, why be a stylist if you refuse to learn and appreciate the craft of doing all hair types? First time in my life that this has happened actually... Felt very unwelcoming and awkward... Who knows maybe that was the whole point of the whole thing.... Either way, I do not see myself returning and if I do, that discriminating stylist will not be touching my hair ever again. Maybe they have a stylist who specializes in African-American hair in a separate section of the salon somewhere.........So basically, to sum it up, I went in for a trim, basically got told I couldnt get my hair trimmed because I have African-American hair, but then I got my hair trimmed anyway with a little unnecessary attitude included in the services... Ummm.. Wow... Makes absolutely no sense. This is beyond bizarre and ridiculous. Thats all I can say. Never again...

They are an Aveda salon, so they do an aromatherapy and shoulder and neck massage at the beginning. The stylists are friendly and professional. The only negative I have is that they put expiration dates on their gift cards.

A balayage that shouldve normally taken 2-3 hours ended up taking more than 5 hours, and it didnt even come out correctly. If youre seriously looking to do an ombre/balayage, you should look elsewhere!
