Today opened our eyes to one of the most intersecting things that I have recently learned in my travels. A family member was getting a facial. I spoke to the owner of salt spa in Saint Augustine, and two of the folks that work there. I learned so much that I asked if I could videotape the presentation and demonstrations to share with people that may not know what I learned today about salt. Yes the power of salt and a fascinating salt mine in Poland.By the time I watched the presentation and demonstrations and spoke to everyone there I felt like part of their family. Because of the friendliness that we have experienced in Saint Augustine, we shall return and I specifically will come back for treatments at the salt spa. so thank you for taking the time to teach me about the health benefits of salt.If you are in Saint Augustine, and you have an hour or two, you owe it yourself to visit this place take advantage of their knowledge of the health benefits of salt. Oh, and did I mention there’s a salt cave that I took a video of right there in the spa!
We did the couples massage in the salt cave (room). It was an interesting experience. First, they were running about ten minutes late, which was ok but they didn’t mention it to us at all. I enjoyed my prenatal massage with David but my husband had a mixed experience with Angie. He said she seemed rushed or distracted, using light pressure in areas that should have had hard and using hard pressure in areas that should have been light (like the face and head). For the price of the salt room massage, would have expected exceptional service.
First time ever having a spa day like this! Did the body renewal cycle and added a massage. I have to say, this was an anniversary present for my wife. I had strained my back earlier in the week, so i was looking forward to the sauna and massage. The float was totally new to me, it was so relaxing, I couldve stopped there! My back was almost pain free. I had never been in an infrared sauna before, it was surprisingly great. My wife has been to a Nordic spa in Canada and suggested taking a cold shower to really enhance the sauna. So out of the sauna and into a cold shower I went. We had some time before going into salt cave and the owner sat with us and explained the theory behind the salt halotherapy, like most homeopathic treatments, western medicine has not researched it. It was very relaxing in the cave and for the next couple days, my hay fever was non existent. The massage was really good to finish the experience. My wife and I will definitely be back!
What an awesome experience.I booked the “couples 50min massage” for my mom and I 2 weeks ago. It was $196 and fabulous. It felt way longer than 50min and my moms first massage: she was thrilled. Jesse and Courtney were wonderful. Knowledgeable, attentive and sweet. We also used the Salt Cave. The owner (I believe) gave a history talk on the salt mine located in Poland. It was a cool thing to learn and you can tell she’s knowledgeable and loves to share about it and help others.Overall we really enjoyed our afternoon :)
Wow. Such a unique experience. The Himalayan stones are in lit piles in the massage rooms. We were able to book last minute, a massage for two with my mom! My mom had Carlton, and I had Angie as our therapists. I’ve legitimately never felt so much effort and care being put into a massage in my life. The therapists connected with us and gave it their all. The spa itself was very relaxing and beautiful. Angie and Carlton even took time to give us self care advise after the massage.
Absolutely amazing experience!!!!! This is definitely a bucket list item!! If you’re thinking about doing it, this is your sign to DO IT!!! You won’t regret it!! For my birthday, my friend and I had the salt cave to ourselves and it was so awesome. We danced, did yoga, made salt angels, and napped. Amazing experience, highly recommend!!!!!
I couldn’t believe the location right downtown. It was perfect to come in for a treatment and then walk around town to find lunch. Scheduling was a bit confusing and I assume it’s because my request for an appointment was last minute. But they found a spot for me that very weekend before their usual business hours on Google. The massage was perfect and to my surprise, instead of a massage and seperate salt cave session, my massage was actually in the cave. It was an incredible experience and from now on when I’m in town, I’ll be booking this ahead of time. I’m the daughter of a LMT and receive frequent massages- often they’re just okay. I thought my provider, Minnie, was great. She covered all the areas I asked her to focus on with the right amount of pressure. Can’t wait to return!
If I can leave a 6 star review, I would! First of all, this is one of the few spa that has a special theme - salt cave.I entered the spa and run into a big smile from the front desk. Then I was offered a quick tour about the spa rooms, salt cave and various services. The tour was quick but Andrew clearly informed the differences between rooms & purposes of different services available at the spa.I got the 50min massage at the salt cave with my best friend. It costs me $190ish including 20% gratitude (per person). Thou it’s not cheap, the whole experience is so unique. The salt cave allowed me to gain some quiet relaxing moment; the light setup at the ceiling went perfectly with the music.Last and the most important part: Dee is a great therapist! She did such an awesome job to get to the deeper part of my muscles and put enough pressure and eased the stiffness from my neck shoulder areas. One part that I really appreciate Dee is: she gave context and educated me on why my certain muscles are less flexible. She even gave me suggestion on how to stretch myself so that it would help my muscles to relax.Strongly recommend DEE! And massage inside the salt cave could be a great ladies event 🥰
This was our first time here by appointment for the Body Renewal Cycle. This was a different experience🤔 but it was very good for my body🙌🏾👍🏾. You start with the float tank for 60 mins, then the infrared sauna for 30 mins and you finish the cycle with the salt cave for 45 mins. The best part to me was the salt cave. We fell asleep and had a terrific nap. If you have anxiety of any form I wouldnt recommend the float tank. I recommend checking this place out if you really need to reset your mind, spirit and body💪🏾❤️! Its worth the money.
If youre looking for a unique and rejuvenating experience, look no further than the St. Augustine Salt Spa. This hidden gem offers an array of services that cater to both your physical and mental well-being. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, ensuring that your visit is nothing short of amazing. One of the standout features of the St. Augustine Salt Spa is its stunning salt cave. The moment you step inside, youll feel a sense of calm and tranquility wash over you. The salt-infused air is said to have numerous health benefits, including improved respiratory function and reduced stress. The serene ambiance of the cave, coupled with the soothing music, makes for a truly unforgettable experience.
Very accommodating for a last minute couples massage. Our therapists followed our requests of areas that needed more work, Jesse and Slavy did great. My wife who gets massage work done for her hip quite often said that is possibly one of the best massage experiences and she felt relieved when we left. Would recommend.
My wife and I scheduled a couples massage for our 20th wedding anniversary!! We couldn’t be more pleased with the staff and especially the massage therapists!! We opted for the hot salt stone additive and are so happy we did. This was our first time ever getting a massage and can’t wait to do it again. My therapist was Angie, and my wife’s was Slovic. We both thoroughly loved the experience!! Highly recommend it!!
If youre looking for a luxurious and rejuvenating spa experience, look no further than Salt Spa St Augustine. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and calming atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional. The therapist, Mr.Slavek was highly skilled and attentive. I left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and ready to take on the world. I cant wait to go back!
A unique experience! In downtown St. Augustine...theres a small parking area out front. The salt room is very refreshing and has a calming vibe. They provide socks to utilize while in the room. We had a couples massage. My masseuse was excellent and used the add on stones in the best way! Probabky should have passed on the aromatherapy addon. My husbands massage was not as impressive, unfortunately.
My husband and I had a couples massage here today. It was ABSOLUTELY fantastic. (I added hot stones with mine). Everything was divine! You will not regret booking a massage at the Salt Spa. The staff were also very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. We literally have nothing poor to say about our experience! They have other services we would like to try, as well. Go get your massage here when in St. Augustine- you will NOT regret it! :)*Side note, we walked from our hotel in the Old Historic district, but they do have a parking lot in front of their place, but its small; may think about that prior to.
Just wanted to give this place a shout out. I’ve never had a massage before, but my wife scheduled us a couples massage for our visit to St. Augustine. I never realized how badly I needed a massage until I got one. Angie ( the therapist who worked one me), hats off to you. If you’re a working person like me who may be skeptical about getting a massage, don’t be. It was a game changer. At 50 I feel better than I have in years.
I am only giving 2 stars because of my massage therapist. He did a wonderful job despite the other things we went through.Let start with my boyfriend and I wanted to have a relaxing weekend, and figured a couples massage and a salt room session would be perfect. When we got upstairs, it was very loud with the therapist having private conversations and laughing which is fine, but there is a huge sign telling guests to whisper… not a relaxing way to start a massage experience.Second, when we got in the room there was not 1.. but 2 cockroaches… which in Florida, I understand it is hard to avoid, but maybe the rooms should be checked before patrons are put in them. Then after our massages, before we went into the salt room we were warned that were were going to be in a room with 6 drunk women, but they promised to be quiet. We should have just walked out right then, but we did not… the salt room was absolutely beautiful, but we did not get to enjoy it for 5 minutes without the talking, laughing, and profanities of the group. We paid over 400 dollars for this experience, and even after telling the owner my concern about the group, we were not offered anything besides “thank you for your patience”. Very frustrating for the amount of money that we paid.
I had an amazing experience. Massage was great, had an amazing therapist who put me at ease [never had a Massage before], and it was so relaxing and peaceful. Definitely will go back again when we come back to St. Augustine again.
A wonderful visit at the Salt Spa!! I felt so relaxed when I left… I was definitely in my Zen Space. Very professional. It was nice to have my mind body and soul cleared of the world’s negativity… even if only for a short while. Thank you so much!!
Went for my first massage today. I had Angie and she was nice and welcoming. The massage she gave was refreshing and amazing. Thank you so very much!! I will be back
Slavek was phenomenal . My massage was great. He was beyond helpful with my injured knee and gave me tips on how to build strength. His knowledge and ability made it the BEST massage I’ve ever experienced.I’ll be back to treat myself to another fabulous expeience !
Mixed reviews from me and my husband. He loved the float tank and felt very relaxed afterwards, and says he would definitely do this again. My float experience started off ok, but the temperature was way too hot so after 10/15 mins I started to crack the lid open. I eventually had the lid all the way open and it felt like I was in a steam room, but for almost an hour🥵 very uncomfortable and stressing for me. I wasnt able to relax at all as could hear my heartbeat whooshing through my ears the entire time. I would definitely reiterate the need to make sure your ear plugs are in place before you get in the tank, but there was so much instructions before we started, and it was all read out to me by the assistant, that by the time she left I struggled to remember everything. The lack of having the rules/instructions printed anywhere in the room was a big oversight in my opinion, as I struggle to retain verbal information. There is also a severe lack of hydration that is easily available - the water fountain was not identified beforehand, and with it being in the front waiting area, and you are advised to do the float naked, it is not easy to access. Considered i felt (and looked) like a boiled lobster by the end of the float time, it was slightly embarrassing to be bright red and drinking like a parched camel for 5 minutes solid. After the float we had a sauna booked, but there is no intermediate waiting area, just the front entrance waiting room, so you are hanging about while others are coming and going, all while in a gown, and having to try and side step anyone who wants to get past. When we did get in the sauna, I was expecting to have a chilled/zen-like accompaniment of music similar to what you have at a massage. Instead it was a crackling radio of reggae music, with a bright light that is not part of the lighting controls. It was good to have a chilled shower on hand though, so alternated between a good sweat and an icy shower. My husband wasnt a fan of the sauna as he said it was too warm for him (wonder what he would have said about my float tank!). The salt cave was my favorite experience but that was because I finally got a bit more relaxed, enough to have a nap, and had the right music to go along with it. Not sure I felt the benefit of a salty experience, but it was a fine nap and the chairs are very comfortable. My husband said it was relaxing but not really something he would do again.
We recently visited St Augustine and booked treatments at Salt Spa. I am giving 3 stars based on the professional and courteous customer service that we received and for the experience of the salt room which was a bonus but would honestly give a 1-2 stars on the level of the massage treatments and the spa aesthetics. The pictures on the website did not properly depict the interior of the spa which I was disappointed in as it was a surprise gift to my spouse. We both love going to local spas when we travel and have never had this type of experience especially after spending over $600. The sweet treat package was a bottle of Korbel sparkling wine which flutes that still had stickers on them, we had to pour ourselves when we were seated in a lounge room that had uncomfortable mis-matched furniture. No robes or slippers were provided as you are given in most spas and we were not informed that we should bring our own. While I agree with other reviewers that the staff is very nice, I will say that I dont believe that the experience warrants the expensive service prices.
I recently had a facial with my sister and I must say that it was a great experience. My Esthetician Nicole was amazing and made me feel great. However, just as we were getting ready to leave, a blond lady who I believe to be a manager started scolding our Estheticians loudly about a parking pass. This incident ruined the otherwise calm atmosphere and in my opinion was very unprofessional. Its basic management etiquette to avoid reprimanding employees in front of customers.Another thing to be aware of is that a 20% tip is automatically added to the bill and you are not allowed to alter it. So, its always important to check the details before making the appointment. Overall, I had a great facial experience but the unprofessionalism of the management left a bitter taste in my mouth.
I conducted a sound bath @ Salt Spa recently. This was my first event & visit, Beata/owner & her staff were extremely helpful & friendly. After our event, Berta had an incredibly delicious assortment of finger foods for us. The whole experience was a 10 & I will definately be back to do more events there ❤Carol F/Spectrum Sound Therapies
All I can say is Carlton is unbelievably awesome! Ive never experienced a massage like that and Ive had many! He is very professional and I could tell he really cared about helping me. I wish I lived closer!! Thank you so very much!!!
Carlton and Andrea gave us the most beautiful and healing experience during the Thai couples massage. They are skilled healers with remarkable touch and empathy.
I visited here after getting a gift certificate for Christmas...in 2019! I finally made it. I only did the float tank on this day but I have also experienced the salt cave. This place as a whole is awesome. The atmosphere, the welcoming smiles when you walk in the door, the attendants for each room, they just make you feel welcome. Float tank - this pod shaped apparatus is only about a few inches of water with about 1000 lbs of salt infused. You cant help but float and incan never float in a regular pool. You must take in the whole sensory free experience and close the pod and turn off the light. Next time I will use the neck pillow though. Mandatory shower before and after. Very clean room. The salt cave is just that, a temperature cool room with low lighting, salt floors and walls, and available blankets if needed. Low relaxing spa type music sets the tone. All in all, a very worthwhile experience.
To keep it simple, I had an 80 minute therapeutic with Courtney (apologies if spelt wrong). Out of hundreds of massages over the years, was hands down the best I have had! Next time Im in st. Augustine I will make it a point to see her again.
If you book a massage at Salt Spa, ask for Slawek. I came in with hip pain, and he not only eased the pain, he provided a lot of suggestions for exercises I could do and tools I could use to continue its healing. Hes very knowledgeable and gave me the best deep sports massage Ive ever had. Highly recommend!
Absolutely wonderful ! From making the appt over the phone to the appt itself will definitely be coming back. We did a couples massage, with Andrea and Angie ! They were absolutely amazing, very attentive and made us feel comfortable. Loved the aromatherapy options they offered.
Absolutely a wonderful unique experience. From Veronica who booked us and took the time to explain our options to give us the best experience to the owner who helped us pick out the perfect salt lamp for our home.Slavik was my masseuse and he was amazing. I have had many massages and he was one of the best. So professional and skilled. My only regret was booking an hour massage. I wish I had booked a longer massage. We want to come back to St Augustine again for this spa experience.
My husband and I booked this as an 20th anniversary couples massage. We had never done a couples massage and thought it would be a way to treat and relax some tired muscles. I was asked to go over what was bothering me when my masseur brought us to the room. My husband was able to do so but when I attempted to tell mine he seemed to talk about something else. My husbands massage was fine as he did relieve some pain in his hip. He found the massage a little strange though as when he opened his eyes the masseur was directly above his face just staring. Also he breathed loudly the entire time and it was distracting for both of us. My masseur did not work the parts that I had attempted to tell him about. I explained I had large knots on my lower back and may to easily to rub those until they loosen and my shoulders were tight. He never touched my shoulders nor my lower back. he worked the base of skull for a long period and I could not understand why. And worked one side for easily 5 minutes but only the other side for a minute. , plus he rubbed my forehead in one spot for another few minutes, and it did not make sense.. the other thing that kinda bothered me is when he was ready for me to turn over he raised the blanket. I opened my eyes and asked if he wanted me to turn. He said yes and I felt as if he could easily see over the blanket and felt as if he did! We honestly wished we had not gotten a massage after it was over as it felt it was a waste of money. And lastly, we paid for the 50 min and only got about 35-40 mins actual massage.. we were put in the room after time to start, got undressed and dressed and spoke to our masseurs within the 50 mins total. In response to their reply, we did realize that we had to cancel within 10 mins, that is why we did not even mention the dissatisfaction as we left! We truly thought it was going to get better and wanted to trust the business to have hired therapists that listened prior to starting. Plus being only 10 mins in a massage is hard to determine if the masseur was going to target the problem areas that was mentioned previously to them but clearly they did not this time!
The wife loved it, very welcoming, considerate to our needs, very relaxing and serene. The Couples massage was great. I had a hot stone deep tissue massage. It was fantastic. Parking was at the location but limited. It is a pretty easy to find location is within walking distance to everything in St. Augustine.
Absolutely fantastic experience, I definitely recommend the hot stones add on! I got a couples massage and our masseuses were super nice and made us feel very comfortable. I felt like I was floating when I left. It smells very nice too!!
Definitely will not be back here. Decided to get my fiance a massage, but because of the new person (always the FNG, eh?) scheduling things instead of having her massage last Tuesday, February 27th, they had her scheduled for MARCH 27th even though they called the day before to confirm her appointment. How they can call the day before her appointment was supposed to be scheduled and then tell her the day she gets there that she was mischeduled is beyond me. Theyre able to schedule her for the day after, but that already had her stressed out, which seems to be the opposite of what a massage business is supposed to do. Her massage was done without any hiccups Wednesday (February 28th) but apparently the massage therapist decided to go Kung Fu grip on her whole body, especially the back of her neck during the massage for several minutes straight and she is still experiencing pain from it. Nothing debilitating, but its extremely uncomfortable for her. Overall I would recommend getting a massage from one of those chairs you put a dollar into at a mall somewhere over this place.NOTE: theres no need for salt spa to respond to this. I have no further interest in dealing with your business or providing any more feedback.Edit: Well, that reply wasnt petty at all
My husband and I booked an 80 minute couple’s massage. While the massage was good enough, we won’t be returning. We had a male and female massage therapists, but the male was my masseuse while the female was his masseuse. There was no advanced warning nor a question on if we were comfortable with this arrangement. In addition, the week leading up to the massage, we were asked to fill out the normal paperwork online. Great! We did. But then we kept getting emails to fill out the same information. Finally, it felt as if we were just shuffled right along and we were simply dollar signs. I got that feeling with another couple waiting for their massages as well. Maybe they were busy on this particular day, but still - it’s a special thing for many customers and it didn’t feel special at all. Maybe this is a different experience if you choose the salt room but we did not. Overall, good massages. Maybe I’d come back to try the salt room. But if we get a couples massage again, we’ll try elsewhere before returning here.
A truly world class spa experience. Beata the owner was incredibly welcoming, friendly and a wealth of knowledge. I was pleasantly surprised that Beata is Polish considering that I’m half Polish myself, which lead to fascinating conversation about the imported salt (used in the salt cave) from the world famous Polish Wieliczka Salt Mine. Experiencing the salt cave for yourself is a must, it’s an experience like no other. There are also plenty of other world class ammeneties worth trying. Personally I enjoyed the infrared sauna, while my girlfriend enjoyed a massage. Regardless however of which amenity you choose, the experience is sure to impress.
Great facility. Very clean. The ladies are so informative and helpful in every way. They fit us in last minute. We did the infrared sauna and the salt room. I don’t think I will do a salt room again because we had to be totally quiet, but that is entirely a preference I discovered about myself and not a reflection of the spa.
My fiance and I had the pleasure of enjoying a relaxing couples massage at the salt room. I wish I could remember the names of our therapist but we were in our own world. I believe my male therapist name was Jerry/Jesse.... He gave me an excellent prenatal massage. I had trouble sleeping the couple nights prior to my massage due to sciatic nerve pain from pregnancy and I have been sleeping more comfortably since my massage. It really loosened me up. My fiance said his massage was great too. Both felt time went by too fast. We took a nap in the salt cave after. It was a very much needed and relaxing experience.
Salt Spa St. Augustine was amazing! My friend booked massages and the salt cave for us the morning before her wedding. My massage was done by Carlton who did not disappoint. Highly recommend and will definitely go back the next time I’m in St. Augustine.
Went to get a service done and was very uncomfortable. Waited to say anything till after since I felt uncomfortable. Called twice and emailed once about my experience and there was no concern from the staff.Felt mistreated and misheard.Sent me their policy and called it a day.
This place is great! Friendly staff, great full body massages, a great infrared sauna and salt cave. Highly recommend!
My husband and I get regular massages and on anniversaries, we will usually get a couples massage. My husband booked a nearby B&B, so he saw this place and heard from friends only good things. He booked the couples massage in the Salt Room, which is a cave-like room, with salt lights built into the walls, salt water fountain water features, little lights in the ceiling and loose chunks of salt on the floors, which was nice. We were greeted by staff who were all nice. Then my husband went to pay...wow! This place was more expensive than the couples massage we had onboard a Disney ship, and thats saying a lot.Once we got into the Salt Room was were things went bad (for me at least). We were on opposite sides of the room. There was no coordination between the massage therapists (I started face down and my husband started face up, with start and finish time off from each other). So basically, it was two massages in the same room vs. a couples massage. This place looses stars because of my massage therapist. During pre-massage consult, I told her that I like a lot of pressure on my lower back and maybe work on my bad shoulder. She starts with cold oil, applying it like you would applying sunblock. She was more petting me than working my muscles and she was moving fast vs. a slow deliberate pressure. She kept stopping, which I assumed she was doing energy work, but when you only have 50 minutes, I think the time is better spent actually massaging. She also kept stepping away to retrieve hot, damp towels (one at a time) . She was more concerned about cleaning me I guess, which caused anxiety as I am OCD when it comes to my hygiene. She worked one foot and not the other; only cleaned it. The only time she actually worked anything were my hands, and again, she did one much more than the other. Then she got to my bad shoulder. Instead of slowly working it into a stretch, she pulled my arm up in such a way, that I had to yank it out of her hands and press it to my chest until the pain stopped. She then proclaimed that I must have injured it. I told her that after an MRI, my ortho said it was tendonitis. (But maybe now it was injured-geez). Worst, most expensive massage I have ever had. I wish I could remember her name so that I could warn people of her. Maybe the owners should check her credentials. Seriously. The two stars are mainly for the front staff, who were the only great thing I experienced and the Salt Room.
First time ever in Florida but not my first time in a spa. When I first walked in I felt this amazing energy and it smelled fresh and clean. I was greeted professionally by the staff and the owner introduced herself. A lovely woman who knew her stuff when it came to the health benefits of the salt she offered in her spa.I indulged in many of her services offered, the salt float, the facial and massage. All the practitioners were of the highest professionalism. Like I said Ive had hundreds of massages and facials. Going to the Salt Spa was the highlight of my trip to Florida. I cant wait to come back. Thank you Beata!!
The place was nice , atmosphere was nice and the staff were friendly and informative. My husband did the sensory deprivation tank and he loved it and recommends it. I had a prenatal massage, wasent great but I think maybe my masseuse had an off day, it happens. We did the salt cave which was interesting and learned a lot about it which was also interesting.
I had a relaxing facial with Nicole who was very professional, explained all procedures and went above and beyond.Thank you! 😊
I had a fantastic, relaxing experience here! I booked a float, massage, and a facial and each service was amazing! It was my first time floating and they explained everything and made me feel comfortable. Courtney was my masseuse and she used the most perfect relaxing pressure the whole time. It’s like she knew exactly what I needed. I opted for the additional aroma therapy which I highly recommend as it really makes the experience even more amazing. Andrea was my esthetician who performed my facial. She asked me questions about my skin and told me all about the products she was using and gave me some great tips and tricks. My skin felt amazing afterwards. Each service flowed seamlessly! I highly recommend checking them out whether you are a local or in town visiting. You will not be disappointed!
I had the best massage ever! My therapist, Carlton, was amazing and so knowledgeable. I came in with a particular issue that I was experiencing with my lower back and he knew exactly how to address it. Carlton made a potentially difficult week a very enjoyable one! His expertise is very much appreciated and I would highly recommend him - although I feel confident that the rest of the staff is also very good!
We had the most amazing experience here at the salt spa! Do not hesitate to treat yourself at this spa. It is absolutely worth it. We did the works and had the sauna, massage, and salt room. Wow what a real treat. My friend had Ted and I had Slovak. Both gave excellent firm massages really worked out our knots. We said we would make a trip back to st Augustine just to treat ourselves to this spa!
If you have the privilege of meeting Beata, her warmth and enthusiasm will bless your soul.My husband and I were touring Florida and decided to put St. Augustine on our list of stops. I was looking for a place to schedule a massage for my husband. Fortunately, our timing was a little off, and we opted for a salt soak.Ive told friends this may have been the best money and hour Ive invested in a long time. After a season of much physical and emotional stress, the salt soak left my body and mind more refreshed than its been since I dont know when.My husband is more high energy than I am. I wondered if the pods might prove a little challenging as we opted for a 1 hour soak. We both agree salt floats need to become a regular part of our lives. The facility is beautiful and very clean. The staff are welcoming, informative, and professional.Highly recommend!JenNew Florida resident and salt float enthusiast.
Great couples massage experience for my wife and I. Staff is super friendly and they can really drill you with the deep tissue.
Spent the afternoon relaxing with my friend for the body renewal cycle. It was an absolutely amazing experience from the float tank to the sauna and the salt room. The staff and owner were fantastic! A warm, welcoming and genuinely friendly place. We cant wait to come back. Thank you!!
The staff was very pleasant and nice. They made my boyfriend and I feel very comfortable. However, the massage experience I got versus my boyfriend was very different. He actually sounded like he got a massage. I appreciate that the therapist was providing me knowledge on my imbalances and he seemed very knowledgeable and to enjoy his work, but whatever was done with me was not a massage by definition. I understand the importance of breathwork, but thats about all I was doing the whole time I was in there while he was moving my joints around. I think it was supposed to be relaxing but the more he talked about my breathing and tried to guide me through the more I could not relax because I was trying to focus on my breathing. I just wanted to turn off my mind and get a massage, but I couldnt. My upper traps were tickled at best which is the part I was looking forward to the most. They say to tell them within 10 minutes if something is not to your liking but Im not sure how Im supposed to know within 10 minutes that he was going to do this the whole time. And what exactly was I supposed to say, Stop doing what youre doing and give me a massage? And speaking of time, we were scheduled to get an 80 minute massage for 12 PM. We werent taken back until 12:10 likely because the last massage ran over which is fine, no big deal; then we had to take a few minutes to get acquainted, undressed, and settled so maybe another 3-5 minutes. When they said we were done with the service, I got up and checked my watch and it was about 1:20-1:25 PM. We did not get a FULL 80 minutes, and I could tell as soon as they said we were done. Im not an expert time keeper but I knew that 80 minutes had not gone by. While I understand running behind is stressful, it would be nice to get the full time we paid for, or offered a partial refund. Something. Personally, I was not happy with my experience and wont be going back. However, if you are someone who enjoys more of the breathing, and chakra type of work then you might enjoy it.
Holy cow—best massage! Mickie was great. Did the 50 minute with hot stone and aromatherapy added on. Perfect to relax my friend and I before we went into the salt cave. I do believe that the salt cave helped my sinuses, and it was just incredibly relaxing. When I’m back in St. Augustine, I will definitely be back!
Andrea was absolutely perfect! She has super strong hands. Very sweet and listened to my request and concerns. The massage therapist and his client in the room next door to us talked (not whisper) their entire session. I could hear every word. It was super distracting. Andrea was very apologetic. Other than that, the massage session was perfect.
Absolutely great cave salt spa massages as awesome Mr slivek was great as well as Andrea .. wonderful experience with the hot stones - ty
Nicole was the best esthetician! I can say coming from a guy that has never had a facial before this was by far the best experience. The attention to detail and the knowledge that Nicole has is unmatched. I will go back to this place every month just because of her. Grab A massage before the facial hands down these people know what they’re doing. Team Salt Spa thank you so much for your hospitality you Are top notch professionals
I made the appointment for my wife and she was treated like a superstar. Special mention to the therapist who did the excellent job her name is Cortney and will return every month. Thank you for the clean room and excellent staff.
My 2nd salt cave experience. A good relaxing way to clear your respiratory passages. This place was clean, orderly, punctual, and met my expectations.
We had an awesome couples Stone Massage with Felicia & Jesse. We even knew they had their hearts into our experience. Then we enjoyed a relaxing time in the exquisitely done details of the Salt Cave. Definitely coming back to this location.
My wife and I enjoyed a very relaxing couples massage for our anniversary. The massage therapists were great and the front desk was very welcoming. The staff were very accommodating to our scheduling needs and massage preferences. Would definitely recommend!
I booked 2 deep tissue massages for my daughter and I. You cannot book 2 on the website so I filled out the contact form. A member of the staff texted with me the following day while I was in between work flights. I explained, in text, I wanted 2 massages and deep tissue. She then sends me links to fill out or my appoints,t s wouldn’t be held. I land, go into meetings and step out to make this a priority so I could spend quality time with my daughter upon my arrival home. Check in..nothing special. Go “upstairs” where it is serve yourself tea or water. Then…wait for it…it’s a couples massage. Quite literally why I didn’t book online because that was my only option. When you sign the paperwork it states “if you are unsatisfied with your massage stop within 10 minutes”, which I totally would have done but, I didn’t want to ruin our now “couples” massage for my daughter. If they call that deep tissue, they need to go back to school. I told my husband a need a massage from my massage. I chose this place because it was close and I knew I wouldn’t feel like driving to ponte vedra inn and spa after getting back Saturday night from a hard work trip. NEXT TIME, I shall be ok with the drive to ponte vedra. Nothing, and I mean, NOTHING special about this place. Won’t be back and definitely not worth the money!!!!!!
Good massage, and definitely appreciated the pre questionnaire questions to tailor things to my preferences. The experience booking, arriving and leaving was not very calm or relaxing. The space to check in is intense and busy, not a typical chill spa atmosphere. Things just felt a bit loud, rushed and quick, even with how the team members working were speaking to one another in front of guests.
Carlton gave me the best massage I’ve ever had! I wish we lived closer, but we’ll return when we visit.Salt deprivation tank wasn’t for me, but it was relaxing. I’m just not used to being able to sit still & do nothing as a toddler mom.Great staff & experience. 10/10!
We were visiting St Augustine for our anniversary and the spa was next door I walked over and got a appointment for that very day! Carlton was amazing with deep tissue massage and was very knowledgeable and helped explaining my issues. I left there feeling relaxed and out of pain . One of the best massages Ive ever had! Wish I didnt live 4 hours away or Id be there once a week! Thank you Carlton & the front desk girls were very friendly and helpful
I surprised my girlfriend with a pre-natal massage and then we both had a salt cave session. All around great experience! She said the massage was sooo good and we enjoyed relaxing in the cave. Everyone was very nice and it was a clean and comfy facility. Definitely recommend!
Booked a couples massage. Booked the message for female therapist in advance. We weren’t notified that our appointment wouldn’t have female therapist. When we arrived no one told us and then after waiting for our appointment time two male therapist show up. This weekend was supposed to be a relaxing getaway for me and my wife and our spa appointment was a big part of it. Barley received an apology from the staff.
We have been here numerous times, my wife always floats in the Salt Tank and I get a 50 minute Signature Massage. They treat you very well, staff never seems rushed or annoyed. Very good massage. They also sell assorted Himalayan salt products, we will definitely be back.
Such a great experience! We had a couples massage. Ms. Dee and Andrea took care of us. We felt like new people! Everyone was super friendly and Id return in a second!
Had an amazing experience at the Salt Spa. Both my esthetician Nicole, and my massage therapist were excellent. Nicole understood my needs perfectly and gave me a personalized experience. Highly recommend!
We booked a couples massage in the salt cave. The sauna experiance was first, very nice and relaxing. We were then guided upstairs for our cuples massage. We winded up having a massage in a small room. The salt cave was booked. Apparently there is only one salt cave there. The whole point of the experience was to have a massage in the cave. This is highly advertised on their website. We could have had a nice massage somewhere else. This was our anniversary treat and we were both very dissapointed. We will never go there again. The really sad part was that management did not seem to care at all and was just happy to take our money. Dont waste your money.
I got us a couples massage for our anniversary and it was fantastic. I would totally go back to this place.
We took a group of 15 woman and did 2 salt cave sessions and several of our ladies did massages. Both were great experiences and the staff was very knowledgeable, professional and helpful. We learned about the benefits of salt. Would definitely recommend.
Save your money and go somewhere that doesnt rely on a (fake) salt spa experience to distract you from the fact that their massage therapists are mediocre at best. My experience led me to almost never wanting to get a massage ever again. My massage therapist was insensitive and it felt like she would rather be doing anything else. The $20 extra for hot stones? Dont bother. They dont really use them efficiently or effectively. Yeah, just dont bother.
Update after coming here 5 years I would give 5 stars every time!I have 2 metal hips and herniations. When I float it it the only time Im truly pain free. This place was amazing! It was a new experience for me. They made me feel very comfortable and I never felt so relaxed in my life. The salt pod is just something else!
Bianca (Polish Lady) Omg she was amazing her customer service solidified the services I was seeking for my anniversary w/end. She was polite and took all the necessary information along with the help of Samantha. Upon our arrival the staff was kind and attentive. We received the sauna and salt cave package it was the total wellness & self care we needed to began our weekend! Thanks so much for creating an environment that caters staying grounded
Very relaxing couples massage! It was my partner and Is first time getting a massage and we will definitely be back again. The studio is welcoming and the employees are kind and professional. They let you customize the type of massage you want when you walk in (i.e. light or deep pressure, lotion/oil/nothing, etc.). Not sure if thats normal but it was nice. To note- they offer aromatherapy as an add on to the massage and its not worth it. $20 for a scent that goes away after a few minutes smh. But thats my only complaint! Love this place and would highly recommend it to a friend or any St Augustine tourist.
1st time trying the float tank & salt cave therapy was Amazing! The staff was helpful & friendly, & the facilities were great. My niece & I went together, & have allergies & very sensitive skin, but had NO issues & our skin felt great! Ill definitely be going back!
Atmosphere is great. Our reflexology providers had no knowledge of how the salt is pumped into the room, and they both seemed to be unfamiliar with giving a foot massage in the salt room and didnt seem comfortable with the lack of ergonomic design to do so. I personally believe this is an upper management issue and lack of training from management. So I do not fault the staff working as it seems like their training was lacking.
Mickey gave me the best cupping session I have ever received. She is so gentle and kind and I am grateful for her energy exchange. I felt the love tremendously.Shoutout to Maria for excellent customer service.Loved the Salt Spa!
My wife and I actually stumbled on to the Salt Spa. We decided it would be nice to get a message after walking downtown St Augustine. We walked in and were greeted by the owner and staff. It was so welcoming and amazing how they treated us. They didn’t have any appointments available at the time but they went out of their way to accommodate us. We had a couples message and were given a tour of the salt cave and enjoyed the sauna for about 15 minutes before our message. My wife and I haven’t been able to stop talking about it. What an experience and what an amazing place.Thank you for such a memorable experience.
That place is so beautiful. Everyone is super nice and you feel great energy once you enter the door. I had a facial done by May. She made me feel so relaxed and special. She has a natural gift in her hands. That was the best facial I ever had, and I had many in my life. The product they use are very natural and smell incredible.
Great time yesterday. First time floating (awesome), 80 min massages (wonderful) and rest is the salt cave(so very cool). Enjoyed spending time with the owner and learning all about the history of salt. Definitely will be back and thanks for making my husbands birthday great..
The customer experience was amazing. Salt cave was relaxing and peaceful. The massage was great and wish I went for more time.
Highly unprofessional establishment. Do not recommend any one to go here. Despite how it seems the spa is not a safe space and the owner was very aggressive. I was hoping for a day of relaxation and upon leaving my day was ruined. Thank you salt spa Saint Augustine- quite possibly the worst way I could have ever spent my hard earned money!
This is a hidden gem of St. Augustine and I highly recommend! The owner was extremely welcoming and made sure to speak with the massage therapist to explain what I was looking for. The massage therapist, Swawek, was spectacular! It was the best massage of my life! The salt room time was very relaxing afterwards and like a cherry on top! Would definitely go back when I am in town!
This was my 3rd visit to the Salt Spa for the salt float pod. I feel rejuvenated and relaxed after each visit and appreciate the experience. The staff is very nice and the facility is very zen and enjoyable. Parking is limited but I havent had to park somewhere else so far.
My wife and I spent the afternoon here and we were thoroughly pleased with the service! We tried the Body Renewal Cycle and an 80 minute couples massage. We started with the float tank which is definitely a bizarre sensation starting out but really relaxing after a while. You get to spend 60 minutes floating, which I personally thought was a tad bit too long, but I did really enjoy it! You feel a sense of weightlessness and relaxation that Ive never really felt before. I would recommend using a headrest if it is your first time as my neck did start to get a little uncomfortable after a while. My only complaint was that the music for the pod didnt work so I had to use my own Spotify playlist for some relaxing music, but again, thats a minor complaint. For some reason the light switch seemed to be stuck on as well but it also could have been operator error on my part and the light honestly added to the experience so I cant really complain there either. Next we went to the sauna which was really really nice. They have a selection of chromatherapy options for you to choose from. Again I dont think the music was working but we just used my phone and it made it relaxing. You can adjust the temperature too. We got in at 140 which was fine for me but a little too hot for my wife so we turned it down to 130. Theres no steam which was interesting but the infared heating worked like a charm. The massage was the highlight of the day. I was with Nicole and my wife was with Jesse. They both did an amazing job and the 80 minutes was over way quicker than both of us would have liked. It was great! Finally we finished up with the Salt Cave which was a uniquely relaxing experience that you have to see for yourself to truly enjoy. Overall I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxing spa day. My wife and I will definitely be back again!
I feel so much better after any treatment I get at the salt spa! The float tank is wonderful for full body inflammation and relaxation. The cave is awesome for my allergies and breathing troubles as well as relaxing...I always fall asleep! Sauna is also great, but living in Florida, I stay away from any extra heat! Looking forward to trying their massage treatments. Highly recommend!
If there was a no start I would put it. Do not recommend. Two female masseuse were requested for my wife and myself on our anniversary trip. We confirmed by email and via phone. We arrived and was told that we would have a male masseuse. The only thing they could tell us was we are sorry. No accommodations were made.
Great experience, very relaxing. I definitely recommend this spa
Fort time here. I wish I lived closer to go more frequently. The salt cave took me by surprise. Very relaxing and my husband who has asthma and sinus problems felt the difference in his breathing almost immediately. You have to remove your shoes and place clean socks 🧦 to enter. They do provide the socks for you. They have storage lockers under seats in lobby area, for no additional cost. The massages were great also. We did a couples massage, i left us feeling like butter. We didn’t want to leave. The place is really close to the historic area of st. Augustine.
Best deep tissue massage ever! Slawik was great and very focused on working out my knots!
Ive done this before at other spas and this was not as expected. Pros: plush bath towels, clean. Cons: water temp too warm (they assured me of temp setting and then later confirmed actual temp was wrong), had to call front desk through defective intercom to get lights off, could hear dripping and see light through cracks in tank door. All this activity loosened my earplugs and, though they discounted the service, it totally upset the purpose of sensory deprivation.
Danielle gave me the best massage I have ever had in my life, and I have had many. Asked for deep tissue with a focus on shoulders and neck (stress relief) and it was absolutely perfect. Cannot wait to go back!
Second visit, absolutely loved it. The salt tank is phenomenal, salt cave even better. Throw in the bidy massage and life is beautiful. Staff are welcoming, very accomodating, awesome experience all around. 💝
I booked a massage for my husband & I for our anniversary (weeks prior to appt) and when we got there we were told that they were unable to honor my request for a female massage therapist. I had requested that I would have a female massage therapist when I booked the appt and again when I confirmed. They did not provide an alternative to canceling and did not seem to be sorry. All I was told was that “it’s just been crazy.” Unfortunately, we booked on our anniversary which was a Sunday and leaving the following day so we were unable to get in anywhere else or book for another day.
I have been reading up on infrared sauna and the benefits.to health. What a great experience. The private room was well appointed with everything youd need after sweating it up. The staff is very kind. I loved it so much I purchased a package the first day I was there! Ive been 2 more times this week and love it even more.
My fiancé and I went recently for an 80 minute couples massage. The prices are very fair and the massage was perfect. We were both so relaxed after
Unwind with a massage here and make the most of your trip to St Augustine. My partner and I had a couples massage and it was awesome. The masseuses at Salt Spa are excellent and really ask questions before starting so they can get all the important points. As a runner I can say my legs really needed this. Thanks for an awesome experience
I had sent my folks to St Augustine for an overnight and included a visit to the Salt Spa. I had arranged for their massages to be in the salt cave which is supposed to be really good for your breathing. They absolutely loved their massages and the experience. The staff was great to talk to prior to this event. Not super expensive and their menu of services is large and interesting. A definite to do.
Absolutely amazing experience here! The salt float was out of this world and the owner was wonderful with taking the time to explain everything to me in advance to ensure my experience was top notch. I also enjoyed a Thai massage as well, which was just what I needed! The atmosphere is very relaxing, clean, and comfortable. Highly recommend!
Took my groomsmen for 45 in the salt cave. The answer was in the silence. Meaning everyone was in full zen mode. Great way to kick off my wedding day. Pro, quick pay, easy communication, nice staff, clean building.
Very friendly and accommodating especially have the stair chair lift.
We enjoyed forty minute reflexology on our first visit and eighty minute massages the next day. The atmosphere is beautiful, peaceful and clean. The Therapists were very knowledgable and attentive. We will return during our next trip to Saint Augustine. Such a nice reprieve from the many miles we put on our feet and achy bodies when we walk around the historic district in Saint Augustine
I was on vacation in st. Augustine and decided to stop in the salt spa. I had an amazing experience here and highly recommend this place . The owner, Beata, is very friendly and told us a whole story about the benefits of salt. In many other places they have nearly as much knowledge about the history of salt healing. My experience was both pleasureful and educating. The place has an amazing aurora and energy to it. Came out so peaceful and relaxed it was the best experience I have ever had. I am pretty much sure that I will have a hard time finding a place as good as this one in New Jersey.
This is a true center of healing. I had the pleasure of visiting today and had a most relaxing and uplifting experience. It was above and beyond my expectations. The salt cave in particular was amazing and something everyone should experience. The float tank was very relaxing and exceptionally clean. My skin felt immediately refreshed and cleansed after the infrared sauna. It was the highest pleasure to meet the Salt Spa owner, Beata Kosakowska, who was inspired by the healing salt mines in Poland and shared with me the many healing properties of salt including protection against respiratory illness. Add the Salt Spa St. Augustine to your health regimen. The benefits are astounding.
The Salt Spa in St. Augustine is a phenomenal experience that will transport you somewhere beautiful, relaxing, and just out of this world. This time we tried the salt cave and we cannot wait to go back and try the float tanks. We got to meet the owner and he was incredible. However, it was Dina who took absolutely amazing care of us. She was so informative and caring about our time there. St. Augustine is truly lucky to have the Salt Spa. It is an experience you could only get by traveling to a far off place. Now it is right here for you to relax and improve your health- body and mind. Go check it out, I promise you won’t be disappointed!
I’m so glad that I decided to pay a visit to the Salt Spa in St. Augustine! Right when you walk in you’re transported to a relaxing and serene place. From the complimentary hot tea to the warm fuzzy blanket they lay on you in the salt cave, everything was perfect. I came out rejuvenated, relaxed, and peaceful. A very meditative experience! I didn’t get a chance to soak in the salt tub, but next time I will!
I had a massage and 30 minute infrared sauna. Mickie gave the massage, and she was wonderful! She got rid of some lower back pain that Id been having for several weeks. The staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the Salt Spa!
The staff was incredible, it was the first time my wife and I tryed the float tank and it was incredibly relaxing...So much my wife fell asleep and they had to get me to go in and wake her up...lol We will be back....Thanks for an awesome experience....!!!!
I had an outstanding experience and highly recommend the services at Salt Spa St. Augustine. I went for the float tank, and enjoyed learning about the salt cave while being welcomed & given a tour.Hali was incredibly helpful & professional, it was clear that she really cared and went out of her way to take care to get me scheduled, answer all of my questions, and thoroughly oriented me to the spa (as it was my first time). I felt well informed and even excited to be there.Ill most certainly return. Their float tank is not just for people looking for meditation and quiet, but its also great for anyone with skin issues who might benefit from soaking in a salt bath, as it really helped my eczema. I went an entire day without itching, which is unheard of for me-- credit to Salt Spa St. Augustine. :)
We had a couples massage with Jesse and Danielle. Very good massages, pressure was perfect and we were both very relaxed. I am very picky about my massage therapist and I would highly recommend them!
What an experience! Sophie, Stephanie, and the rest of the team at the Salt Spa St. Augustine are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about all the services they offer. The spa itself has state of the art equipment, and the salt cave was such an amazing experience that I will be returning on a weekly basis.
I only have fabulous things to say about the salt spa. Finding the salt spa has helped me heal from chronic Lyme. Joyce is an excellent, naturally talented masseuse. I have referred several family members to Joyce. All of them leave feeling much better than when they arrived.I highly recommend the float tank and infrared sauna. The sauna and the float tank do wonders for my inflammation. The staff has been accommodating and professional. The spa, itself, is spotless. I really like the fact that The Salt Spa allows me to make my own decisions when it comes to COVID 19 measures. I am so grateful to have found this place of healing.
Great place , very prompt , i had Courtney she was amazing
This is an amazing place. The salt bath was everything I needed. Very clean and the staff was amazing and very helpful. Prices are reasonable.
I had the pleasure today to experience a wonderful massage in the Salt Cave with Joe as my masseuse, he was fabulous, when I do come back I would definitely ask for him again, I also had a sauna which was so relaxing, everyone at the Spa were very pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend the Salt Cave Spa to all my friends and family.Thank you again for an enjoyable day.Linda Romano
My husband and I came from out of town and stopped by for a prenatal massage for myself and he went in for the infrared sauna. I had a great experience with their new masseuse, Slavic (sp?). He gave me awesome tips for positioning regarding pregnancy and tips for post partum and baby! Very professional. Clean environment. Will be back when we come back to visit!
The floating pod was amazing I felt as if I literally left the planet this was my first time ever visiting this place I would highly recommend them if youre ever in st augustine and if youve never tried the floating pod youre missing out on such an incredible experience!!!!
Enjoyed the spa and all of the accommodations they provide. I chose to do the float tank, a massage, and the salt cave. Customer service was wonderful. The young male at the front desk guided us through and was such a highlight to the whole experience. I also enjoyed the explanation of the float tank, as i was a little nervous and the owner explained it to me and gave me a little talk in which i should expect. The spa is very clean and all in all a great experience BUT...My only complaint is that, while i did do a couples session, my partner and i got massages together, i ended up having the male masseuse(older male). I said that i preffered the male masseuse in hopes that his hands would be a bit heavier, as i was really in need of a massage. I circled the regions in which i would like my massage, he only did hands, back, and feet.. which i felt like i kind of got cheated by this...I also explained to him that i wanted as much pressure as possible, especially in my lower back,he didnt deliver. He spent majority of the time flat handidly rubbing my upper back. If anything, it was the furthest thing from a deep tissue massage. My partner said the female did wonderful. The female was very vocal and asked my partner questions throughout the massage. It seems maybe he was scared to cross “boundaries” or something, not sure. I’m disappointed by this as i read the other reviews and see that majority of people had a great massage, with the exception of another person saying the same thing as I experienced with the male masseuse. But to end this, other than the massage, it was beyond wonderful and i would definitely go back again just in hopes that i could have a masseuse who isnt scared to go all in.
The owner is the sweetest! She goes over & beyond to make your experience the most relaxing & amazing! My husband & I make sure to take advantage of the beautiful salt cave & salt tanks every time we visit St Augustine!
Got us in for a party of 4. The masseuses were very accommodating. Probably one of the best massages Ive ever had. Will definitely go again, and will probably spring for a few upgrades. They also have float tanks on premises! Need to go back and try those.
Angie was a very good therapist. Adding the hot salt stones was a nice touch. Limited parking.
My mom and I did the float tank and had a massage. Everyone was so welcoming and nice, and the services were wonderful. I felt like I could float home. Next time, well try the salt cave.
My husband and I had heard of the salt cave from a friend of ours so we decided to check it out. Dina was amazing in giving us a tour of the facility. We did both the salt cave and the salt bath. As a newly sufferer of pollen allergies I was amazed. So relaxing and rejuvenating. Highly recommend a visit. We will be back!!
Terrible service. zero stars. Not one positive thing about this place. The owner of this place is a thief. They will steal your money.Stay clear.
I booked my salt spa experience a little over a week prior to my apt. The day of my apt I pulled up, my phone rang and it was the spa telling me the Ac went out and they were gonna use the salt room to do massages. I was told I can come back (I lived an hr away, so that was now 2 hrs waisted). But, I know things like that happen unexpected.I was in the process of moving and I explained that to the staff. They had spoken to the manager and inquired if I could get a refund on my gift card my husband gave me for Christmas. It turned out I couldnt get a refund, understandable. However, I was told that I could pick out anything that they sold at the store and that they would ship it to me to where I was moving.I picked out the item I wanted and left my new address with one of the associates. A week goes by and I never heard anything. I had to follow up with them to see what was going multiple times and was told they call my back. The day before I left, I called to see what was going on because no one had gave me and update or anything. It turned out the manager changed her mind and refused to ship the item i chose (a salt lamp). I was moving to hawaii at the time. She did not want to ship it because she was gonna come out of pocket. The day they canceled on me last minute, she had no issue shipping it. I had lost my patience at that point. Thats very poor customer service, saying one thing and then changing your mind. Thats what really upset me the most. She tried to make an excuse that it would get damaged during shipping. But she made it clear she did not want to pay for shipping. The manager and I went back and forth for a bit. I told her we can call it a day if she gave me a refund and she wouldnt have to come out of pocket for shipping. She also let me know she had the right to refuse service due to emergencies (Refering back to when the Ac broke) but they had no issue continuing massages...In the end, she met me half way to give me the lamp I had chosen. There comes certain situations where some people go above and beyond to provide good customer service, i know I do in my place of work. The manager was was quick to change her mind and didnt want to ship a lamp because hawaii was outside of thr US ...Highly dissatisfied at their service. I was so looking forward to it as a Christmas present.
Never had a massage in my life. Didnt know what to expect. Megan did an incredible job. I discovered muscles I didnt think I had and was so relaxed that a man of few words like myself started mouthing off like a drunkard. An accommodating, clean facility and great conversation with my masseuse. Almost a week later I still feel like I was reborn anew. Next time I am in town I will certainly visit again and try out the other facilities. Until then, Ill have to find a spa nearby that can try to compare to the service I got here.
Couldn’t wait to try the salt cave. Actually relaxed and liked it after running around seeing all the sights. (The cave experience for me 👍🏻)However, Beata spoiled it. Our session was over and the Zen should have left with us. While checking out you Repeatedly told your employee in front of three customers what she did wrong why it was wrong making faces and didn’t stop in front of your customers. So unprofessional otherwise it would’ve been a perfect experience.
Loved it! Gorgeous and awesome therapy. Although, I do not believe you should be cohersered into paying 10.00 each for robe after you paid for services. We were told there would be wait time in between for next room. 1st time entered I was told ceiling was all salt and it dies if you touch. We live on other coast, made arrangements to return for 2 days for my gift of spa. Gorgeous but this time learned ceiling plaster. Why make up something? I so would dream of having a salt cave like this. Definitively recommend you do this
They deleted my last response probably because they don’t want people to know. But not a safe space for a massage. Owner will neglect the situation. Used to get massages here and will never go again.
Micky was amazing on the full body massage.
Me and my good friend has amazing Very relaxing spa day . We had float tank uniq experience, infrared sauna with relaxing music and very calming salt cave . All processes was very nice , very therapeutic, healing for our mind and body . Very good service nice , calm atmosphere and helpful staff . ❤️
We completed a couples massage 80 minutes along with 30 minute reflexology add on! The service, environment and quality was amazing. Comfortable and professional along with thorough massage and clearly two massage therapist who care a lot about their work and clients. Would highly recommend couples massage and reflexology!
My wife booked massages, VERY disappointed!!!! While waiting and filling out forms, staff should be aware that they can be heard speaking rudely about prior customers. Which does not make people feel like they are in good and certainly not willing hands. After clearly filling out forms and verbally asking to please use cream for both massages-NOT oil they used oil on her anyway! Didnt even apologize. Further, when staff asked her if there were specific areas to pay more attention to, she informed them of such. Did not happen. Other things were not right but those were the highlights. Spent over $200.00 -more than disappointed.!!!
This place is amazing! Unique experience. The Salt Cave is beautiful, fairytale-like, it’s cool air is soothing and relaxing, the deep layer of coarse salt that makes up the floors provides a relief for tired feet, the salt bricks in the walls emanate healing chill and offer a wonderful relief from the Florida heat. There is also a comfortable Sauna with added benefits of chromotherapy and earth sound vibration, that re-energizes you after a day of touring the city. Salt Spa of StAugustine is the absolute retreat for tourists and locals. I will be back each time I’m in town!
Went in with 5 people. No explaination of what we were doing or the history behind it. However, when we came out the new group was watching a video and being explained everything. After paying, I walked out to meet my friends and that lady came running out yelling whos going to settle the bill?!? We all turned around and said, ummm, we already paid?. She didnt even apologize for her mistake, but turned and walked back inside.Pay to get disrespected? I do not suggest this place at all. Avoid and keep your money.
I had a prenatal massage on Sunday by Danielle and she was awesome. She took her time and explained everything thoroughly. Highly recommend and I will definitely be returning soon.
The staff here is so kind. They offer a pediatric massage for autistic children so my son and I both got massages at the same time. He took a two hour nap afterwards. Joyce is awesome! Very relaxing atmosphere.
My husband and I had a couples massage here while visiting St. Augustine for the first time! Very unique spa with their own salt room that we didnt do while here, but very cool thats an option. Maybe next time! Very friendly, professional staff!
Went for a couples massage and sauna and everything was great. Reasons for 4 instead of 5 stars: They made us walk around barefoot which was kind of off putting and didnt come get us to move to the massage when the 30 minutes was up in the sauna so that was a little awkward.
What a lovely experience. The salt cave is beautiful, relaxing and therapeutic. Dina spent a lot of time with us and gave us a tour of the whole facility. The space was so cool with all the salt products. They have their own parking which was grest. I cant wait to go back
Lillian and Mickie were GREAT!!! My husband and I did a couples massage and enjoyed every part. Five days later and were still loose!!
The Salt cave was amazing! However, the manager, upon our party leaving, chased us out accusing us of not settling the bill, so that ruined the experience.
What an amazing experience! My therapist Joyce is beyond an incredible healer. Her experience and knowledge is absolutely remarkable. I was so saddened when Joyce left my area, as I had been seeing her for years, but now delighted to know she is just a short drive up in St Augustine at the Salt Spa. Came up for my usual Hot Lomi with her in this beautiful place!Lomi Lomi is already hard to find and Joyce does it like no other, with hot oil, hot stones and essential oils. Not just the usual oil smearing techniques many therapists do, Joyce actually gets in and treats joints and alignment issues. The best of a Thai Massage and Lomi Lomi together. She did the deep visceral work I love and need; another technique many therapists simply will not even do, my posture was greatly improved. Happy to learn another therapist does Lomi there as well, so a Girls Weekend plan will be happening and definitely for my anniversary! The spa is just beautiful, the owner was so gracious and kind and the salt cave was remarkable, the best one in the region as far as I have seen. There are so many services offered and you feel completely at home. A must try!!
It’s a small “mom and pop” spa but all the staff are very friendly and accommodating! I got a fantastic facial by Nicole!
Can’t say enough good things about this place. They accommodated 4 people at a last minute request, they gave us some of the best massages we’ve ever had, and it was just an overall very pleasant experience. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning.
Slawak is absolutely outstanding. I turned in on a whim while on a bike ride, and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had. The spa is relaxing and everyone is so kind and helpful. Slawak’s knowledge of musculature and injury is the best to help re-align and heal. If you are looking for a real therapeutic massage, he is the one to see and salt spa is the place to visit!
I always enjoy my relaxing time at Salt Spa St. Augustine. The customer service is great, the salt cave is so relaxing, and the massage therapists pay attention to what your body needs.
We did several services including flotation, sauna, salt cave and massage. We enjoyed our experiences. It was definitely affordable just didn’t have that real spa feel to it. Would go back!!
I frequently go to St Augustine over the years I’ve been countless times there was always something missing...until now. Salt Spa was a beyond a spa it was pain relieving, meditation, stress releasing mind altering experience I look for to again. Not soon enough. First, I had an amazing time in the salt float tank, it was de-gravitational!! When I emerged I felt like I was returning to earth or being reborn. If you suffer from chronic pain, anxiety, stress or just want to enjoy the superior health benefits of a whimsical salt cave - the salt spa is where you need to go. The best spa in town and beyond.
Took my wife there for her Birthday and we did a 45 minute salt room experience it was wonderful. Then did a 1 1/2 hour couple massage the listen to us both and messages where great because they did it the way we asked. Thank You all so much God Bless
Took my wife there for her 30th birthday. The massages were incredible and the infrared sauna before your massage is a must. Will definitely be back.
My wife and I used the salt cave and enjoyed the relaxing time. Our breathing seemed much easier and my wife said it really helped her asthma.
I love this place! The salt cave was amazing and so relaxing. The staff are so nice and the spa is beautiful!
Sensory deprivation tank was a good experience. Temperature was a degree or two too cool for me and too warm for my friend. The water is kept under body temperature but can be warmed before you enter.Clean and nice facility.
Great experience, they Taylor to your needs. Did a couples massage for our wedding anniversary
Thank you for the most beautiful, most relaxing experience ever. Saw and felt instant results. I am so glad we took advantage of this spa during our vacation. It was well needed. We had such a great time.
My son and I visited yesterday and had an aaahmazing experience! The facility is absolutely beautiful, the ladies were kind, hospitable, and knowledgable. We cannot wait to return! We highly recommend the Salt Spa St. Augustine. You will be delighted!
Such an amazing and relaxing experience not just for me but also my 13 year old son. So professional and clean we will absolutely be back. This is one place everyone needs to try out and enjoy the calm feeling!
What a great experience. I went with 7 of my besties and it was just wonderful. The salt room was relaxing, refreshing and so enjoyable. The staff is wonderful and made us feel very welcomed. I will be back.
This place is fantastic! Sophie and Stephanie welcomed me and made me feel right at home. The amenities are flawless and the space extremely well done. I look forward to many more days there. Quite a local gem. Unlike any other place I’ve seen. Easy 5 star.
Wonderful experience. The owner gave us a really great story on the history of the salt caves in Poland which inspired the spa.
Relaxing atmosphere from the lobby onward with pleasant, helpful staff. My masseur not only listened and delivered but was very intuitive about areas I did not detail. Highly recommend.
The Salt Float Tank experience is fantastic! It was so peaceful and relaxing. I want to schedule a session once a month to reset!!
Love this place! Ive gotten a couple of massages by Joe and they have been so relaxing! The salt cave is a must-do. Cant wait to come back!
An amazing sanctuary. If you live or are visiting Saint Augustine, I can recommend. I am an American who lived in Europe many years and this replicates the original salt mines with an emphasis on detail.
Amazing massage by Slavic! WoW!!! Best massage I have had in YEARS. Very friendly and attentive staff. Will be booking my next visit!
The customer service from Meredith has been absolutely amazing and cant wait for our massage. Will update after.
I highly recommend the Salt Spa. All the services are great. We did the float, salt room and a couples massage and it all was delightful and very relaxing.
Great experience. Wait time was minimal. Amazing massage! Will definitely be back.
Enjoyed the professionalism of the masseuse. The salt cave is pretty fantastic. Everyone should experience it at least once.
Cute little spa, staff is very friendly and everything smells so good! We got a couples massage and it was wonderful!
Best massage I have ever had. Make sure to get the hot salt stones! We did the couple’s massage.
My time at the Salt Spa was the couple massage. A wonderful experience. My boyfriend and I enjoyed it!!
The best massage my boyfriend and I have ever had. I have never been to St. Augustine but will be back to get another massage here!
Oh my what a lovely place. I had my boyfriend do the salt bath in which he absolutely loved. I took a nap in the salt filled room which was amazing. Would love to go back.
Had couples massage and my wife loved hers. I asked for someone with strong hands for a deep massage but the male masseuse did not deliver.
Got a wonderful massage there and want to go back and try some of the other services they offer. Very nice, professional place and they make sure you get the massage your body needs.
