Great local place. Friendly people and staff. Came here twice in a week as I was passing through town because I liked it so much.

Apparently you have to have a drivers license or passport to get in. If you are black, just got off work wearing your work clothes and want to play a couple pull tabs on a Friday night, dont come with a state issued ID. Because they wont take it. Maybe you should post a sign stating that hey we dont accept government issued ID at the entrance then. Since in the past my husband was able to get in just fine.

How is a bar going to accept a white person driver license but if a black person only has state id that’s not acceptable why would they want people to drive wouldn’t it be better if someone was a sober driver for people. They racist. Accepting white peoples identification but not a black person. Will let everyone know about that too not waste there time or money going there.

They don’t allow people from out of state to enter the bar also they where very aggressive when telling me this I really think they don’t like black people unless your a female

During these covid times, this is a great local business to support! They have a nice size tent set up with two heaters and a projector screen for football games. Only downsize is it is still freezing in the tent. 🥶 So dress appropriately.

Docs Landing is a cozy bar and restaurant located in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Their drink menu is also impressive, with a great selection of bottled and canned beers, as well as a few beer tap choices. One complaint I always had about Docs was a lack of food. Its a great bar, great location, but eating when you have some cocktails is always food.I havent been for a bit and in addition to the amazing patio and bag area, I saw they now have a food truck outside in the back. It wasnt open at 1pm on a Tuesday, so not sure the hours or the quality of food, but its nice to see they are expanding the services and have added some food options. Menu looks food too. This place has always been a favorite of mine.

Had a great time at Docs... The bartender gave everyone that entered a hello and most by name...No better place to grab a bite to eat, have a refreshing cocktail and play a game of darts, a game of pool and yes try your luck at the pull tabs... Had a great time on date night with my girlfriend at Docs... Thanks Docs for a great evening....

Went there with a friend to watch a playoff game. Lots of screens available for that. Drinks were reasonably priced, and service was great, but there was no food menu.

David, Katie, Kevin, Sean, great bartenders and staff. Including Steven these guys are pure class, love this place and how they look out for service industry folks. 10/10 this place is great! Couldn’t say better.

Its a wonderful small town bar environment with many pool tables and dartboards. I love how the dartboards are set up and away in their own space so that people wont walk in front of you while playing. We went to play darts and had a great time. There was a ladies dart league that started at 7:00 on Thursday nights. They were so kind and so entertaining to watch. Its obvious they have such a wonderful time together. The bartenders were kind and quick. They have a wonderful deck that overlooks a small lake/pond. Very enjoyable experience am around!

Concert with Yam Haus was sooooo fun.

Cool low key spot but watch your credit card transactions cuz the bartender will over charge you and include his own tip. Try to pay with cash if you can!! Oh and they only sell pizza. UPDATE: Upon returning I realized that they have a cash and a credit charge so that was the discrepancy I saw. It’s more if you pay with a credit card.

Had my retirement party there. Everyones was so nice and all that came loved it there.

I miss this bar very much. The staff is incredible and extremely attentive. I moved out of state, but this will always be one of my favorites. Even when my STL Blues won the Cup, they were willing to throw it on some TVs even in a MN bar and I will never forget that! And so many celebrated with me when they won! All you guys rock and hope to visit again soon!

The people who work there are very nice.

There were several very clearly overserved drivers exiting from here. Doors were locked at 1 AM when I arrived. The door has a sign indicating that they close at 2 AM, so thats nice. I cant say its worth the risk for a late night cap because you just wont get one.

I love this place. Every time I go I have a great time. Great staff, good pizza, and the pool tables are in great shape. Cant wait to go back!

Dont bother going if your not from Minnesota. You will not be able to get in.Apparently there was a shooting there and the person was from our of state so now no one thats not from Minnesota will be let in.

The third star is for staying open until 02:00. Late night visit during a weekday produced a rough crowd that had been overserved. My wife enjoys this establishment so I will update once I have experienced daytime service.

Very fun experience! good drinks, great atmosphere. There are plenty of seats at the bar and tables around. You can play pool and darts. Theres also video games around the space. Loved my experience! Great dj!

The people who own the place were super rude to me just because I was being drunk. Pretty sure their just not used to dealing with anyone whos not a regular. The second I got there and asked the bar tender to make me his favorite shot he rolled his eyes and wouldnt even look at me. Like WOW.

I have had mixed feelings about this place. The staff is nice to you if youre patient. Good luck getting a drink if its busy, if youre not someone who is a regular, you dont exist. The Karaoke is decent, but the tap list is meh.

Pretty good place! I like the patio more than anything. Drinks were good, but it seems to be heavily dependent on whos working the bar at a given moment. The Hurricanes and Liquid Marijuanas were both good.

Great neighborhood bar with friendly bartenders who make you feel welcomed. Also fun pull tabs and e-tabs. If you’re hungry, they have delicious Heggie’s pizzas as well/ a local favorite! Two for ones is also a nice bonus. Highly recommended.

What are the new laws for bars regarding state ID’s???? I was rejected after being a regular…..

It was so nice of them to put on the Elvis Show. And it was free. They had brats and hamburgers at a very reasonable cost. It was a wonderful show. We even got birthday cake in honor of Mary Anns Birthday.

Decent Saturday drink special 2 for 1. Clean, bathrooms ok. Bartender wasnt overly friendly, a bit abrupt and seemed irritated when I asked questions. And they have a weird no backpack policy, so we had to leave pretty quickly since the intent was to spend a few hours and get some work done. Didnt get a chance to find out if they had free wifi. We had a couple drinks and moved on.

As someone else said. Unless you are a regular dont plan on good service. Id say order two drinks at a time. My girlfriend waited for twenty minutes for a drink. Best part was he looked directly at her and I.. Twice! And still waited. Hockey was on ya know. Place was a towny joke. Did not feel welcome. Wont be back.

I like this bar. Its solid. The crowd changes widly week to week. Some times its a mix of locals, another times is multiple bachelortte parties, sometimes its a young crowd some times and older crowd, sometimes rowdy, some times chill...

If you dont plan on being a regular, dont expect resonable service. No food available but tables are present inside and out. Pull tabs and bar games keep the visit tolerable. With a great location for a beautiful view of Hanlos pond, Im rooting for this place to succeed and Im keeping my fingers crossed that positive change is on their way.

I accidentally dropped my ID here once and a dink of a bartender wanted to play games with me to get it back. Hello my picture is on it and I am the only person who would know it was there and I called ahead. Side note, Im 39 years old and have a full beard so they cant judge age either. That or I was getting hazed by the female bartender because Im not a regular. Well now I definitely wont be. I call that asshat service.

Nice place! The servers are great. Got everything from karaoke to bean bags. They have a really nice outdoor patio and Is right next to disc golf course.

Nice place, cold beer. Pool and darts. For what I always thought was a dumpy towny bar, Culver’s replaces aging gas station (I think) on the corner and then Docs is exposed looking nice. Checked it out and was pleasantly surprised

Love that they have Heggies pizza...some of the bartenders are better than others like everywhere else. Good atmosphere, music struggles thou. I like hip hop N old school so ya know.

We loved playing darts and enjoying drinks all night. Great atmosphere for a fun time . We will definitely be returning.

Great outdoor area. Live music often. Servers are nice. No food options except frozen pizzas but there is a culvers in the parking lot now.

Like others have already stated, unless you’re a regular you will feel out of place. We walked in and instantly got this creepy vibe. Left shortly after entering.After reading other reviews I’m glad we didn’t stick around since we were here for food and it appears that they don’t serve much of that besides pizza?

Its a fun sports bar with lots to do during the week! On weekends its a semi club scene! Sadly I was singled out and was forced to leave when people were going wild! I was unfortunately near those people! It didnt help that I was fresh from the gym! Oh well!

Stopped in for a quick drink place seemed clean. Had a few drinks and they were good . It is a biker bar so just mind ur self and ur all good

Pretty chill place. I like what they did to the building, but the real attraction (as the name may indicate) is the porch, where you can sit or play games and just take in the view. The porch looks out over a little lake and its just beautiful at sunset.

I stop here occasionally for a drink or 2 . Always pretty busy, so thats always a good sign. Staff are always friendly as are the patrons. Great drink specials if you are like me , always on a Budget

Horrible service, the bartenders were so rude to us. We told them they were rude and didn’t want their service and walked out. A tall bartender with a hat on followed us out to the parking lot and was saying racial profanities to my fiancé. Seems like a very racist bar to me.

Quick service, decent tap beer selection, nice size place with darts, games, etc. Not really a website to check the place out beforehand, and its pretty hidden so if you dont know where youre going youll probably miss it! Id come back!

You typical local hang. Obvious regulars here. Bartender was competent. There was live music (single acoustic guitar player). Only food is frozen pizza.

Quite most of the times Ive been there. Some of my favorite pinball machines ever Batman and South Park tons of fun good beer on tap and daily drink specials round lunch time

Docs is the most descusting bar I have ever been to. Let me start by the workers. Im pretty sure he was worked there / bouncer. Well he was cleaning up and he was looking angery at everyone. He was picking up drinks on tables. He walked to our table by the dance floor and grabbed to big glass mugss and grabbed them so fast an angry that the shatterd and glass went on the dance floor and everywhere and he never came to clean it up. He just left it there . he was the rudest person I ever seen!!!

The vibe was good, the bartender was quick, kind and happy. The music was good, not too loud and i am excited to return again.

Fun dive bar, great location. Good tap list of beers!! Try the castle danger cream ale! Definitely will be back.

It was a great experience. There were lots of people there of different nationalities an overall seemed very diverse and everybody seemed to be having fun.

Its a bar with a huge outdoor patio overlooking a lake. The dart play area is super compact. Limited options for food.

They let me bring up dog onto the patio as kong he was on a leash, great pizza and very friendly and kind staff

The bar seats are a little tricky and the bartender can’t see all the seats at the bar other than that I enjoy it
