We enjoyed coming here to watch some sports, have a few drinks, and sample the food. The menu is huge and I appreciated that they had a chicken cheese steak option. The patio area is very large and the open floor plan, prompt service, and MANY alcohol options makes this a rockin place Im sure. But also when we went on a Sunday afternoon, very kid friendly. On top of that, they have live music Friday and Sunday afternoons.
1st timer here! I used a birthday coupon, where you buy 2 beverages and one entree and you get one entree free. We dont drink alcohol or pop usually, but we found something and then got Mac & cheese with a chicken piece on top (thought itd be mixed in), and I got chicken fajitas. Make sure to ask for no onions on the lettuce, tomato, and cheese plate, because they give a lot of green onions. I dont know many people who put those types in fajitas. Live and learn! The atmosphere is older (55+ at the bar), with music videos on the TV, along with sports. Great experience for us!
I was not a fan of my experience here. The appetizers, we got onion rings and cheese curds, were fabulous. I was so excited to try my main after having such great apps, but I was so disappointed. There was nothing special about my burger. It was very boring and it wasn’t very high quality. I was excited for the caramelized onions, but in my opinion they needed much more time on the grill to be considered “caramelized”. Halfway through eating the burger I started feeling sick, and this didn’t end for another 2 hours. I believe this is due to the high level of grease in their food.
We made reservations for a large group of 30 people. They gave us one server. After we were seated, orders were taken, and we had waited a while for food they informed us that they were short-handed. This would have been good to know before seating us. Some of us never got our food, and they even lost the bill for one of our families.
I understand it was a Timberwolves playoff game and I showed up late. But the server had little interest in our order and follow-up with drinks and the bill. If I had a choice I would have given the young lady a dollar tip and told her to work on her customer service skills. She is very poorly trained, and her personality was sad. For the amount of being paid for food and drink, the tip should be the same. I wont go back.
I have been here off and on throughout the years. Love their Bingo events, especially. The food has gotten way better than I have had in the past. Wings were very well sauced and fries were well seasoned. Everything served hot. The music was just a little too loud.
I have loved Wild Bills for the longest time. I have always had a great time, especially on Thursday Ladies night. But tonight I have to say I am completely disappointed and will no longer return to this place. I met up with some friends for drinks in honor of my birthday. The server asked us for our IDs as is costum, but for no reason and with no notice she walked away from our table with my ID in hand. Almost 10 minutes later she walks back and says she is not allowed to serve me drinks since my ID looks weird, Im turning 28 tomorrow and this has never ever happened to me. I would think a place like Wild Bills has a way of verifying IDs, instead of making it an awkward situation where the birth person is refused drinks.
The GM was amazing! His service to our large group at the end of the night will absolutely be the reason Id come back!
This was a great place to eat, the staff was friendly the food was delicious. My order, smothered tater kegs (which were effing amazing) and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Crunchy with the right amount of heat. The picture posted is of the tots which is after my son and I ate most of them, no picture of the sandwich which was plentiful as I ate the rest of it on my flight home.I recommend trying this place out. I will when I visit my son again.
Stopped in for a margarita and appetizer. Ordered 2 margs from waitress - saw the margs sitting at the bar and sitting, and sitting, and sitting. Waitress never delivered them - bartender asked if they were ours and brought them to our table. They were flavorless - thank God there was a salt rim. Waitress never came back so we could order food - had to ask the bartender for bill - she had the waitress bring it to us. She just giggles even after we said we thought we’d never see you again! Won’t be back anytime soon!
Went for a Bachlorette party, when the Bride didnt want to come up to the DJ booth to do something he was extremely rude, and caused the bar to boo. Went to Cowboy Jacks instead, had people at the bar and was better.
Ok, first I would like to say that we loved this place, food, drinks and their amazing staff, until this past Saturday when i went with my sister and her 7 yr old daughter for our regular bingo night, which we go every Wednesday and Saturday nights. Well this time was completely different. I asked the waitress for 2 beers and she asked for photo ids, which we gave to her, however my sisters id isnt American so we were told shell check to see if they would accept it, then came back to say no, and we were ok with that. So We went ahead and ask for a pepsi. 2 minutes later a Joshua came to find out he was the manager 10 minutes later, brought the 2 beers to our table, my sister and I were likewth is going on so we just went ahead and start drinking the beers, then maybe 10 minutes later, this same Joshua guy comes back to our table all mad and what not, asking us to pay the bill and leave the restaurant, because we were breaking his drinking rules when we have already been told that my sister could not drink, yet he was the one that brought us the beers. We tried to give the beer back, all he kept saying was pay the bill and leave when we have also bought 3 packs of bingo worth $16/each pack i asked if i could at least ask for my money back, the manager said no because those people work for him and wont do anything. At this point this so called manager is starting to raise his voice, to the point i had to ask him to calm down, that we had a child present. This guy look like he was about to have a heart attack, literally. I still can not believe the way we were treated, after coming here twice a week for years. I even asked him this is how you treat your regulars he just kept saying pay the bill and leave. So we left, to never come back.
We both had the Friday fish fry special. Three decent size pieces of cod, battered and fried served with fries and Cole slaw. Fish was nice and hot, fries were not as hot. They changed the fish piece size, larger pieces but less of them, definitely enough to eat and still a decent deal.
Very good food! Great atmosphere to come either on your own or with a group! Food is quick and you get decent portions!
I’ve been to Wild Bills a few times. Food is average and our server has been really good the last few visits, however, my biggest issue is with the way they sneak in charges without disclosing prior to your order. It was happy hour and one would assume that a double would be double the price, but they charge a regular fee for the double portion and not the happy hour price. In addition, and probably the most shocking, even though it’s a small amount is the fact that they charge a dollar for ice. I asked our server if it was a mistake and she unfortunately said no it’s not and it was something she wasn’t thrilled about either. I accepted the fact that I had been charged for ice on several of our drinks which is ridiculous in my mind but I asked if she would talk to her manager about the double call price. Basically her manager told her that that’s the cost for a double call and if we would’ve ordered two separate drinks with a glass of ice on the side, we would’ve saved three dollars for the one drink. The manager didn’t offer to take any of the cost off of the bill considering these two prices weren’t disclosed prior to ordering our drinks. Very disappointed with a restaurant that tries to sneak in charges. Feels pretty unethical to me. This will be the visit Wild Bills. I can only imagine what other sneaky little charges they try to build into their system. We only discovered these two. Do better.
Have been a couple times now. Both times the food was excellent and reasonably priced. Both times, the service was poor (check never comes, needs at the table are ignored, etc.) They do charge a 3% Service Fee on your order to help offset costs
Cassie was our server . We had 3 separate checks. She did great. Friendly, kind, professional. Great experience
My friends and I sat on the patio and weren’t served for a long time so I went inside and ordered from the bartender Joel and he served me immediately and was so fun and nice. Five stars because I’ve been a server and I don’t blame the patio bartender for being busy but Joel made it worth my while.
Bingo on Saturdays is the best! We start with a yummy bloody and a bite to eat before we play! Always a great time!
Some days life is just sorta blah. Well today was one of those days. So, I thought I would check out Wild Bills in Apple Valley.Sat down and was greeted very quickly by a big smile and how are you today?Well, as I learned my server was Ashlyn and she was simply amazing. She took my blah day and turned it around because of her positivity and chit chat.I am a bit older and have found that bye and bye, restaurants and bars all have one thing in common. That Is that staff have a major and direct impact on the experience a guest has.In this case Ashlyn turned my day around and I will certainly come back to Wild Bills hoping to either see Ashlyn again or find another remarkable staff member.I could not be happier.Joe
I thought the food was absolutely amazing and management is always friendly! My only hang up was our waitress was not on point this time but it won’t stop us from coming back. We had someone else’s order brought to our table, she forgot our waters and forgot our to-go lids for our food. I would of definitely gave a five star ⭐️ but it was a slow Sunday for them and service at our table specifically was lacking. We all have our off days. I will go back to give another fair shot to change my review later if it’s better. Now the food !!! I had the Philly Cheese Steak and was one of the best I’ve had since going to the East coast. I had it with queso cheese, jalapeños and mushrooms. My wife had the chicken tenders and spiral loaded potatoes. My wife had a signature cocktail and was the bomb.com 💣 we also tried the fried pickles for an App and wow! Be prepared, as that could be a meal in itself as a TON is given. Food was amazing and on point! Awesome Job Wild Bills !
Day #1 Try the Boneyard Mac and Cheese, they put ribs on top. Super good. The drink you see in the photo (A## in the Sand) is as good as it looks and they have cranberry ice cubes, nice touch. I like this place.Day #2 Great waitress (Liz) made the experience go well. Even though I’m 40, Liz asked for my ID before serving a drink, which is great! It shows she respects the restaurant and laws. Blue Bobber Margarita you will see below, awesome. We also ordered cheese curds and homemade chicken tenders. 100% legit. And yes, they put a real fishing bobber in the drink.
Only server was the bartender and he seemed to have his head in the clouds and more focused on the bar people then the one sitting by the bar the fired pickels were gross and then didnt listen the food right... never coming here again loved it when it was grizzly
Had the eggs Benedict for brunch and played bingo. It was really busy so go early if you want to play bingo. Food was great!
Was there for their brunch. Had great food and drink specials. Service was excellent! Will definitely be back.
Consistently great service. Many choices for food and all were delicious. Sophie is the best!!
Sierra was my server, and she was OUTSTANDING!! Not only did she know the menu well enough to make suggestions, but she returned to our table 5 times, despite her section being full. Also, she brought refills without having to be asked. I have found my favorite sports bar/restaurant.I will be back!! The kitchen was quick! Order to Table was 10 minutes! Entrees and appetizers were served HOT!The value for portions/price was perfect as well.
Im not a big fan of the food, its not bad persay but not great either. Staff is great
The night manager looked at my girlfriend’s ID (who is 23) and confiscated it because she’s from another state. He proceeded to call the police. They showed up, said her ID was real, and gave it back to her. The night manager refused to serve her and I’m assuming it’s because he was wrong and felt stupid. I will never come back here. How embarrassing… I would rate a 0/5 if I could.
Their chicken pesto sandwich was very tasty. Service was great! I will be back!
Our server was exceptional and provided great service and made a personal connection with which we greatly appreciated
I was in the area and met up with a friend for some food and I was not disappointed. The food was good and all the managers and staff were awesome. Will be coming back.
A great place to enjoy a meal and drinks and entertainment. Our waitress was exceptional. We saw her constantly going around to ask how the meal was, did you need anything at all. She was awesome. I had a Philly. It was very good. My wife had a hamburger. It was cooked to perfection. Their French fries taste really good. We have, and will be, again visiting them and enjoying all they have to offer.
Yikes, came in to sign that said seat yourself even though there was a waitressing standing around talking to a table about personal problems. We sat down and the person that the waitress seemed to be friends with started yelling about a car’s headlights and made us very uncomfortable. We were there for about 10 minutes and never got checked in on so we left while the waitress’s buddy yelled about his diabetes and his dislike of the headlights. When we got up to leave the bartender and waitress that never checked in with us stared at us like we were bugging them.
I use to love coming up to bills to hangout, grab some drinks and enjoy a night out. Key words Use to over the past couple of weeks upper management has came in and cleaned house with the staff making the restaurant a very hostile environment, whether youre getting starred down by staff youve never seen before or talking to the patrons who frequent the bar much more than I do and all they can say is how upset they are that everyone leaving is ruining the environment (which it has 100%). The only reason I am giving this review a 5 star for service is solely base on the staff they USE TO have. We ALL (the patrons of Wild Bills) loved Marquis, Jillian, Jackie, Megan, and all the other amazing bartenders that use to work here and with that being said I recommend that you save your money and time and doo not come here and support the business.
This place is a hidden gem, its a must stop at, especially if you might be in the area! Our server (Caleb), ROCKS !!! He was so friendly and made us feel so wanted. If I was not retired and had a business, Caleb would be the man to hire. Im sure he has a big future in front of him in whatever lies ahead. The food was great besides the atmosphere. Been there several times and will be looking forward to returning !!!
On Saturday, 5/20/23, I visited your Apple Valley location with my mother and her sisters to play bingo and eat and have fun. It started out like any normal day at a restaurant, we ordered and waited for our food. Then, food started to come to our table but in very dispersed frequencies. My aunts got their salads, my girlfriend got her grilled cheese and fries pretty fast, however myself and my mother were both waiting over 1 hour to receive our orders (chicken tenders and I ordered a simple burger and fries). Meanwhile, we saw SO many orders going out involving burgers and fries. Then, the waitress (Kellie) comes out and says something like “oh yeah we will order it on the fly”. As a guest, we don’t know what that means. Did she forget to order my food? I am diabetic, therefore having food on time is very important! And I was getting hypoglycemic, which could have sent me to the hospital had the food taken any longer. Then, the manager comes over and says that our waitress was not comfortable serving us any longer. For what? We have no idea honestly. Nothing bad was said to anybody, just general discontent with the overall service and no sense of urgency or that we are guests. All I said was “these orders (chicken tenders and my burger) should be free” for how long we had to wait and everybody else at our table was done bingo had already well started, when we were early enough to be done eating by the time bingo started. Then Autumn Wagner (your manager) came and my aunt talked very gently to her by pulling her aside and telling her what our issues were and how it was very unacceptable. So Autumn then comes to us a little later after offering us a free desert for my mom’s birthday, and then tells us they are no longer serving us maybe 10 minutes later (what?) but we could still play bingo. This is FAR UNACCEPTABLE. We didn’t do anything to anybody. We were the guests, had a very poor experience and we were treated like WE were the problem. UNBELIEVABLE! We have NEVER been treated like this anywhere else. Then, to top it off, they had another service member (male) come and take our payments after waiting another 30 minutes. Why couldn’t the manager grab our payments? Was she even a manager? She couldn’t handle a simple complaint that the food was way late for no reason and we wanted those 2 items free for the big inconvenience that almost sent me to the hospital had I had to wait any longer. I can’t imagine what would happen if there was a bigger issue and your manager, Autumn had an actual ANGRY customer. We will NEVER be back. Guests beware and heaven forbid you have an issue with service.
Jess our server was A+ . She was attentive, friendly and had a fun personality. The new Summer menu was excellent. We loved the recommendation from our server about the new brisket tacos. Plus, she told us about all the fun events coming up which we will be back. The only downside is the patio faces a busy street.
The restaurant industry is having a really tough time staffing and I completly understand that, however this was ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. Waited 15 minutes for someone to approach our table and 45 min for my childrens pops. Would of and should have left but the kids were hungry. Never thought it would have been the experience it was, horrible!
Nice place! Met here with some friends to catch up after not seeing each other for a long time. We sat on the patio and there was a live band playing. It was fun, but the music was just WAY too loud. We asked to have it turned down and it was still so loud you had to shout to each other to say anything when the singer was singing. It was nice entertainment but just way too loud for a restaurant. Good food tho and amazing service. 👏
Been there twice for skillet nachos. The waiters I had was wonderful. This is my go to spot now. Good price for the nachos but next time trying something different. My kids loved the Mac n cheese.
This place has awsome ribs. And for the amount of food you get it is well worth the stop.
Got kicked out from Wild bills because on Saturday the 24th 2023, I had waited 3 hours for a table while they’re so called manager Megan (the ginger hair) had told me it’ll be a 20 minutes wait. We were waiting there patiently until my patience ran out when they offer other customers who happened to be there after me a table!! Who wouldn’t be upset!!! Oh it gets better as we was waiting for a table my sisters and I end up playing bingo in the LOBBY!! Not one server came to serve us or offer us a table even when there’s open table!!! I am so furious about how they treat their customers, Amanda and Megan who called themselves management clearly needs to get better training!! I will not tolerate the disrespect!!
Our server Megan was new and was absolutely awesome. If she didnt tell us she was new we wouldnt have known. We had the southwest egg rolls for an app and they were super good. We got the chicken street tacos and the taco Mac and cheese. They were both amazing. We ordered double meat on the tacos, because some places skimp on the meat. Totally not the case here. The taco mac was absolutely amazing. It was rich and had great flavor. It was the best mac from a corporate restaurant we have ever had. The only mildly negative thing was that they were out of berry simple syrup for one of the drinks I wanted. Being as I have been in the service industry my whole adult life I completely understand that sometimes specialty things run out at a bar. We will definitely be back and hopefully Megan will still be there because she was a great server, super friendly and fun.
Steak fajitas was not good at all. Beef was half spoiled, could taste it. Yuk. Not cook well with vegetables, very little steak with it being too big of pieces. Steak pieces ate too big, should be more Sliced for fajitas. Looks more like beef stew meat. Terrible in my opinion.
We had such a good time with BINGO game today.Food is awesome.
Went out with a group of friends on Wednesday night, the food was delicious and our server, Amanda, was so sweet and amazing. Although, Stephanie the bingo caller was rude and clearly has no compassion for others. I won’t be coming back Wednesday nights while she’s calling bingo. It’s truly unfortunate because I love the environment without her here.
Driven by many times and finally decided to stop in for a girls night. Well, my wings were OK. Service was awful. The patio was nice but didn’t see much of any service out there. She got our ticket wrong over and over. Happy hour drinks took, and I’m not kidding, 1 hour.
The service, food, atmosphere and especially Cassie was top notch.
Food is great. Good menu selection. Service on the patio has been very slow last two times weve been there. The seats on the patio are uncomfortable too. Worth going for the food though!
Atmosphere and decor - 5 out of 5 - rustic and decorated for the type of restaurant theme. NiceService - 3 out of 5Only 1 server working at the time. Once several tables left the service got better and quicker.Food - 2 out of 5Had the traditional wings. They did not appear to be cooked crispy like Im used to. Sweet chili sauce for the wings pretty good.Had the shrimp and steak fajitas. Smelled awesome coming out on the hot skillet; however, most items do when real hot. The steak fajitas were a major disappointment. Absolutely no flavor. Most restaurants that have excellent fajitas marinade their meat and at the bare minimum flavor with extra seasoning for quick service. Then the guac I was charged for was $2.99 for literally a spoon size scoop. Totally overpriced for the quantity. The last item ordered was pulled pork nachos which were alright.AND FINALLY when I received the $53 bill, the restaurant had the nerve to charge me a $1.54 service fee. I asked what that was for and the waitress said it was to cover some of the cost of food. Isnt that the cost of doing business? Why am I paying for that? Increase the price of the entress but dont have customers paying a service fee that is part of doing business.I spoke with the manager about the below average experience and she said, They get compliments all the time on the fajitas and that the cooks missed there mark on mine. Didnt offer to compensate or try to fix the experience. She asked me to call the general manager the next day.First and last time we will eat here. Definitely not worth the money spent.
Megan (redhead) is the reason I keep coming back to Bills. She provides the best service and offers suggestions when I’m not sure of what to order. Please let her know that Wild Bills is lucky to have her and she’s killing it every time she works. Thanks Megan!
We happened to have stopped by during Saturday afternoon bingo, quite, enjoyable, the food was hot and delicious. And delivered in a timely manner. After that not so much, but overall a really good experience. Definitely recommend.
Happy Hour was great! We had an amazing time. Olivia was awesome! Thank you for the great bartending. Will come back again.
We didnt get food prepared the way we wanted. My drink was never made right after three tries. Our waitress did her best, and we had no problem with her. It was agreed we wont go back.
Our all-time favorite place to go. We are regulars here. :)
Great food for a decent price. A+ service. Good beer selection and some crafted and seasonal cocktails. The menu is huge. I love the patio in the summer as they have an outdoor bar. Happy hour on weekdays and breakfast on the weekends.
Food and service was amazing! Loved our server Amanda...Stephanie the bingo caller is absolutely horrible!!! She is extremely rude.. she needs to go and we will not be back Wednesday nights or Saturday morning as long as she is the bingo caller. She needs treat people with respect..
Just to be clear, my low rating has nothing to do with the service, food or drinks. Ive been stopping here several times a year since the location opened as Grizzlies and have always been pleased with the above. My objection is purely based on ETHICS regarding my bill. When I received my bill, I noticed a 3% Services Fee. When I asked the server if they were charging the fee assuming I was using a credit card they said no.They went on to explain that it was because of hikes in supply/labor, and they didnt want to shock their customers with large price increases on their menus. When I asked if this was posted anywhere their customers could see, he said, No, we put paper flyers on the tables when we started, but not anymore. We do put the fee in bold print so we can explain if customers ask.I really hope the manager/owner will correct me on the ethical issue I mentioned above, but it seems to me that they HAVE increased their prices (3%) in a way that their customers may not notice or cant make an informed decision on (because its after the fact). If someone from the location corrects me to my satisfaction (or removes the non-transparent fee), I will change my post and rating.
The three bouncers where a little to much. Didn’t impress me they where not representative of the Bars Name. I dismissed them several times and let them know how unprofessional they were. Watch out they are people that don’t respect other people. Want-Ali be a bad Cops. The Cop outside the Bar was just like them. Bully’s. I’m from Floridaand we don’t put up with that Woke Stuff. Beware of that Communist Social Behavior of the So called T-shirt bouncers. Get professionals that know how to treat customers
The staff they have going at Wild Bills Apple Valley is amazing right now, we look forward to going every time, while they all make us feel at home we always ask for Amanda! She is the best waitress we have experienced anywhere and greets us with our usual drinks & warm smile every time before even having to ask. The service is so fast & efficient and the interactions are fun! Keep up the good work and strong team Apple Valley!
Pretty good food. Lots of variety and cold beer
The waitress was nice but didn’t listen very well. And the cooks were awful. I ordered the works burger and asked for it to be pink in the middle and to caramelize the onions. What I got was cold onions, cold mushrooms, and a well done patty . Also 3 of my onion rings were completely burnt. And when we got to wild bills there were 2 tables open and we still had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. I’ll never eat there again. On top of that the fried pickles were burnt too
Comfortable, clean, friendly staff and DELICIOUS food.
This has nothing to do with the food or services. The bouncers here need to be terminated. I’ve heard several stories of them being homophonic & racist. I looked at the reviews from the past & I see we are not the only ones. Not to mention the man w the ginger beard is incompetent & an A hole. They are giving this place a bad rep & has been going on for MONTHS now. Do something. This is APPALLING. No wonder everyone is at cowboy jacks now. Very disappointed.
Went to play bingo on a Saturday night. We also ate dinner. Food was terrific! Service was good. Noise level was very extreme for playing bingo. Will be back for lunch or dinner, but not for bingo. Bingo was very unorganized and unprofessional. Payouts were very low compared to most other places. Was pleased with dinner, but bingo was not worth the cost to play! Too noisy, but to be expected on a Saturday night.
I had a really bad experience, but Ill just say this. This place is going down hill fast. They have, what appears to be, a high schooler managing. Im not sure if she was an actual manager, or they just sent a young girl with glasses from the back to prank us. Also, I can not believe that theyre still playing the greatest hits from the early 2000s. Thats only fun for so long. Fish and chips are good though...
Came in with my family to try it out. We had Jessica as our waiter and she was awesome! Our food was good and fresh! Will definitely be back!
Love it here. Great staff, great atmosphere, they wont forget you ordered a drink/food. Mondays they have a live band. Saturday is bingo. Can be tight for parking but just be patient. Someone will be leaving lol
The place was basically empty, 2 people at the bar and 2 seated at a table. A few pull tab players. 2 bartenders and still took 5 min. to get served----they were more interested in each other than patrons. I ordered wings-----worst I ever had. Cold, tasteless, and next to nothing for sauce. Bartender said if you want sauce on all wings you have to order them extra wet. To top things off they have the nerve to add a service charge to tabs even if you pay cash. My question is where is the GD service? No wonder this place is a desert for patrons-----5 PM on a Friday and not even a dozen people. To top it off they add a service charge even if you pay cash, what service!! This is as bad as when they charged quarter for an olive in your beer!!
We went there as a large group after a baseball game. We had called ahead so they knew we were coming. We were seated right away and there were maybe 5-7 other tables in the restaurant with people at them. The serve was horrible. We waited at least 20 min for our drinks and it took so long for her to get our order that we finally just wrote it on a piece of paper for her. We had gone up and asked someone to help our waitress out since she appeared to be working alone and the manager stopped by a few times but it didnt make a difference. The food took at least an hour, some thought it was good but most were not impressed with the food either. We had to ask for our checks and waited a long time for those as well. Do not go here if you plan to be out in an hour or less! We will never be returning, we were frustrated we spent our time and money there.
Decided to come here with my family recently. Wild bills is a neat restaurant that seems like a shell of its former self. The food was decent. Bacon covered donuts were delicious. Our waitress was fine, but some of the staff was very, very rude and just appeared miserable(especially employee running the pull tabs). I know some restaurants have really struggled over the last few years. Hopefully, this is just recovery pains for Wild bills and they work their way back into being a great place to eat.
I usually come during the night time and it always seems like the bartenders and kitchen staff are the hardest workers at this location. The bartender, JJ, had a full bar of patrons and was still serving 3 different tables while the waitress was nowhere to be found. I saw her putzing about a few times not really working. Last time i was here i sat myself(no host) at a table for 15 mins, without interaction, before being rudely served by a blonde waitress. Theres a couple bad reviews about the bearded night shift manager and they are ALL true. He is never seen on the floor and if he is, its to cater to his friends or walk outside for 20 mins. The food is always great and comes out reasonably fast! Thanks JJ and all the other bartenders/cooks keeping this place afloat!
Was having a not so great day until I came in and met the lovely bartender Jackie!!, wonderful service as she constantly kept a drink in my hand and kept up on my water refills without even being asked!!! 10/10 will come back again!! Also suggest you add an adult corndog meal!!
Update: 06/07/21:Bumping the review back to where it should be. As you can tell from the reply section, the owner was willing to make things right and wanted to know more details. We chatted through email and made things right again.I believe in bad days and Im happy to update reviews accordingly when issues are made right.Original Review 06/06/21 (2 stars):Ordered through door dash for a 6pm pickup. They finished the order around 5pm. Not that that’s a bad thing but if we say 6pm then I’d expect 6pm (what if we were traveling and weren’t going to be ready by 6?).Furthermore, one of our food items was missing as well. Did they remedy this issue? No, they said contact door dash for a refund… that doesn’t help solve the missing food issue… I didn’t want any refund I just wanted the missing item to be replaced. I had no problem driving back to get the missing item, but the manager was unwilling to help out the customer. I felt disrespected, hopefully they are willing to change.Food was decent bar food so I’ll give them a star bump. But I’ll probably stick to the cowboy jacks that just opened a block away for better service.
Server was nice. But if your handicapped, expect to be seated in far back. Not upfront . Not the first time here. Food was ok. Actually Id order that Philly steak sandwich again. Friend had mushroom Burger. Said fries were very good.
Good food with a Great Waitress!!Nice Cowboy/Biker VibeLarge Outdoor Patio space
Not sure how this place can stay open. 3rd time here...1st visit ok, 2nd visit we left because staff was spending more time talking to each other than waiting on customers-- we couldnt get served even though place was empty. Made last trip today--service was slow and spotty. We had to go to bar ourselves for refills--staff too busy visiting with each other-we wont be back--three strikes and your out. It is not hard to understand why their competition a block away is packed, and they have less than a dozen customers. They need to hire an adult to be in charge.
Saturday was our first time at this establishment. We choose it because of they serve breakfast until 2 on Saturdays. We thought the service and atsmophere was great but the breakfast was not! I ordered eggs Benedict. The egg yolk was hard boiled and had no hollandaise sauce... my husband ordered the avocadotoast which comes with poached eggs as well - they were hard boiled. We would like to give them a second chance but maybe not order the breakfast...
I can safely say I’ll never return here. Grew up in this town so I can say I’ve been here a good amount of times, but nowadays it’s gross. Bar smells like puke. Service is terrible. It’s just a teenage bar to get drunk at for your first time. It’ll be closed down in no time. There’s no way they can survive. Nastiest bar I’ve been to in a while. Staff sucks.
Stopped in late. Bartender was very attentive and friendly!!!!
Poor Service. We stopped for lunch at Wild Bills in Apple Valley. We ordered cheese curds, burger and fries and a salad. We asked for the salad right away before our food came. We had to ask our waitress for the salad. She finally brought it out to us with our burger and cheese curds. She never checked on us once after she brought our food out. We waited for about 15 minutes to get our bill. Waited some more time. She still did not bring us our bill. Finally we had to flag her down to pay our bill. The service was bad. Just glad we did not have somewhere we needed to be! Will not go back!
The corn bread wasn’t baked long enough but got a discount on tap. Service they are short on help and over worked. Big portions of food. Nice employees and manager
The lunch menu was good. The service was less than be acceptable. Supposedly, there was a baseball team that came in for lunch also. Couldnt get a refill on my soda. Had to go and ask for to go boxes and my receipt. Others could have picked up the slack for the waitress. Food was a 4. Others are a 2.
We visited Wild Bills, Apple Valley on Sunday, May 9th for a late lunch on the patio. Ashley was our server and did a wonderful job. The food was outstanding as always. Great way to spend Mothers Day!!! The manager stopped by and we had a nice chat too.
I would not recommend the chicken fried steak you get tons of potatoes small piece of steak that was very well done. Mandator gave me a discount very nice about it
Absolutely delightful atmosphere! Ended up here on complete accident and Im glad I did. The locals were welcoming and the hype was all about the pretzel with BOTH the cheese and mustard!! OMG, it may sound weird but put them both on the same bite😋😋drooling as I relive the experience. I WILL be back!!
Drink prices on a Friday night are reasonable. Not my scene, but as a one-night doppelganger, it could have been far more miserable.Went back on a Saturday in January 2022 for a friends birthday. I didnt get the proper change back for my drink. Didnt realize it immediately. When I went back to the bar and let them know a few minutes later, they made it right. No questions asked. A few bucks isnt going to ruin my night. Its the principle of the thing. And yes, I verified I was short changed. It was my first drink of the night. Lots of respect for an establishment that treats its customers so well.Same night, another minor problem at our table. Staff working the floor took care of it promptly. This place is run well, and I understand why my friend likes hanging out there. Im still too old to hang there on a regular basis. But its nice to know there are still businesses that care about the customer more than making every last buck possible every night of the week. This place is an exception in our world today.
Poor service!! Would never recommend coming to this bar. Bouncers are very disrespectful for no reason.I have friends who have told me not to go to this bar with how down hill it went, but I didn’t listen. After only buying 1 drink we were told we had to leave. With multiple irrelevant reasons. Because my gf was dancing alone?Tried to talk to the manager who’s name is Nate, was very unprofessional. He acted as if he could not talk or listen, and defended the staff before knowing the whole situation. When asking him to check the cameras, he then said he would see what he could do because they don’t have much cameras in the front? Which is odd. I would not have cared about leaving a bar if we were being disruptive or messy, but that was not the case. The bar was dead, not many people at the bar. But none of it made sense. Proceeded to them calling the phone I called on, saying “I’m towing your car bitch” once again, the manager defended this young bouncer as if none of that happened. Very unprofessional business.Would never recommend and will never go to the bar again.
Really good chicken wraps!Update: service was really slow or non existing. Had to go the bar to get service. Food took a while to show up and was barely warm. Will probably be a while before I go back.
I usually go to the Wild Bill’s in Woodbury but we went to Apple Valley tonight. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because it was miserably hot in the restaurant. The main reason for my review is to emphasize what an amazing job Katie, our server, did. She was so busy and I could tell stressed but the service was great! I hope she is recognized for her hard work!
I wanted a take out before i leave and i told them i wasnt leaving right away. i wanted the food for the foot ball game i went here on 8/6 and we had bad service, to start it off we handed the server our ids, then she didnt hand them back she threw them on the table. then she charged us for more stuff then we asked for, then she looked to see if we gave her a tip, then asked if we was going to tip. i have never had this happen to us we also had good intentions with here. today was not one.. we will try again, but wont want the same waitress again.
Went there tonight with a group of co-workers. My first time here. First off, ordered a bloody Mary with extra olives. Not only did i not get any olive it had to be the most disgusting Bloody mary ever. Mix was bad, no alcohol, no olive, no celery, no pickle, no anything. I have never ordered a bloody mary with nothing in it, so boring!!! Ask the server for olives again and she said ok, but they never came. I then ordered an IPA and ask for olives my beer, but guess what. NOOOOOOO OLIVES!!! I asked again for some olives 🫒 for the 4th time and was told again that she will bring them. SHE NEVER DID!!! ohhhhhh i Ask for ice water twice and did not get that either. I drink more water than any human i know. About a gallon and a half a day. I love water, denied it all night. FIRST AND LAST VISIT HERE, NO WONDER WHY THE COWBOY JACKS NEXT TO THEM ARE SO BUSY AND THIS PLACE IS NOT!!!!WELL IM HOME NOW, drinking water and eating olives from my fridge. Good night
Love this place! Good food and great service, the managers and bartenders are the best!. Could use a diff sat night dj though!! Plays the same music every sat night, gets old for sure!!. Id leave 5 stars if that changed!!
The service was good. The food was not. My nashville chicken sandwich was very dry. There was practically no cayenne sauce on it. The nachos we ordered were TINY only enough for 1 person in the skillet and they were also very dry. I will not be back.
The environment at Wild Bills was, as expected, wild. However, they were playing a BINGO game so there was an emcee yelling and screaming over our whole time there. We were separated from the rest of the game so we couldnt play if we had wanted to and our waitress checked on us maybe five times during our hour and a half stay. We spilled a water and asked for napkins and did not get them for at least 40 minutes and had to ask multiple times. However, the food was good.
Aas far as a bar goes, this is the stop in Apple Valley, not Cowboy Jacks. Service is attentive and quick. Food punches slight above its weight class for a typical bar. Drink menu is creative and beer tap list is expansive. Also, its a fun place to go at night on weekends.
Got seated right away. Took about 10 minutes before we saw any waitresses or bar tenders. They all came out from the back at the same time. Our waitress smelled like smoke so we assume they all took a break together. Food was decent. Service was horrible. I will not be going back.
Usually good food and great serviceBut you really werent that busy, but our table was forgotten nonetheless.
Terrible experience. Took my 70 years old father there for bingo. Hes visitng from another country. They would not serve him alcohol because his ID was foreign. What a ludicrous experience. Weve never had an experience like this anywhere else. I can understand if he was younger, but a SEVENTY year old guy? What a joke
Crowd has become a bit not for lack of words millennial and just grind and bump, no one can really dance. But its a chill place. Fun to hang out at watch a game.. Bouncers dont seem like douche bag tools as they once were ( which is a HUGE plus) Best desert ever made is their cookie doe egg roll. So damn tasty
Food was okay. Drinks werent that great either. On the same scale as Applebees or chilis but I prefer those restaurants to be honest . I got the southwest egg rolls corn and tater tots and they missed the mark The brownie however was DELICIOUS the best one Ive ever had and will be the only reason I would go back.
Went in with a party group at 10.30pm as we’d called prior. The ambience and food we had was good except for the part that we were given food menu’s, put in an appetizer order and asked the waiter to come back for our entree orders in time before the kitchen closes. Only for her to come back after we went looking and informing us that kitchen is closed so we can only place burger orders!
Nice bartenders and decent atmosphere. Food is a bit pricey, depending on what you get. Also, they have a dress code in place on Fridays and Saturdays. So, dont try to go there in sweats on those days.
Service was good, the wrap I had was good. Huge menu with lots of variety of burgers and a few wraps. Would be nice if the menu had some sort of sandwich like a club or a Reuben. Patio is huge but the road noise is very loud since it is on such a busy road.
Dirty.First impressions were the dirty floor and dirty tables. We had to send back one of our drinks because after a couple of sips, we saw what looked like salad dressing or mayo stuck to the inside the glass. Yuck. When the appetizer came out, one of the side plates they gave us also had leftover remnants of someone elses past meal on it and we had to send that one back as well. The servers had an air of a complete lack or surprise that we had these issues and gave a quick sorry before whisking away the offending material and returning with new, supposedly clean replacements.Needless to say, it was with no small amount of trepidation that we decided to actually stay and wait for the main meal to arrive. When it did arrive, we all took some extra time to examine the conveyances on which our food was served, and finding them satisfactory, we tucked in. The food was what you would expect for any other bar fare, maybe slightly lower than that. The burgers were overcooked, but at least the fries were fresh.Bottom line:Service - merely OKFood - extraordinarily basic and overcookedCleanliness - terribleI think Ill wait until they have fully renovated the restaurant before I return.
Went there for the nightlife.. nice crowd.. but I definitely will never order my drink there. We got amaretto sours and they were gross 😝.
Have to recognize the amazing service we received tonight - our server, Jackie, was so attentive and so fun! We hardly had to wait, even for our food! We had SUCH a fun girls night tonight! THANK YOU, JACKIE!
Charging below line fees, your bill will be higher than menu price. If you need to raise prices at least be honest about it and adjust it on the menu, and not afterwards where the consumer has no idea it will be happening. Very deceptive pricing, which is unfortunate as the food is generally good, as is the service.
Gave it 3 stars because although the patio is nice to sit at, & the food is good.. there is a dress code for what? Its AV.. my friend wasnt allowed in because of an adidas track suit. Ive been to places that are high class and could justify it at those places, but you were Wild Bills in the suburbs of AV, its not that serious.
So I went there with my wife last night and the service was OK, ...the food portion was satisfactory, but what is going to cause us to stop going there now is the 3% service fee. Prices are to high as it is. There are lots of other restaurants and they dont charge a service fee. Good luck!
Very smelly and dirty. Not friendly bartenders or server. Only the outdoor seating is good. The crowds standard is very low.
I enjoyed coming here for lunch. I ordered a Philly with onion rings. It was really good. As I sat at the bar, the bartender was very attentive. Overall good place for lunch
Based on a themed night out for Halloween**Music was loud and not the best for a Halloween weekend vibe.Service was pretty decent despite being busy.No food but the drinks were pretty well made.
This place has gone down hill since cowboy jacks opened up. Sat down waited 20 minutes for a server that never came ended up walking over to the bar to get our own drinks. 1 hour later the server came over got a round then had to wait 30 minutes just to pay out. Service is terrible. Go to jacks where you’ll get severed promptly
We were there 9/2/22 and sat on the patio and our waitress Kay was amazing she was the only waitress for the entire patio and was amazing super friendly, prompt, and accurate with all drink and food orders.
This restaurant has missed part of our meals multiple times when ordering thru doordash and doesn’t want to help resolve the issue. They should always be checking their orders since the dashers, even though they are told to double check, with COVID right now and the bags tied or taped, they can’t. And the managers proceeds to tell us to go through doordash to resolve the issue when all doordash can’t do much. Never order from this restaurant. They have terrible customer service and can’t check their orders to make sure there is everything there. The cooks should check, the person bagging should check, and then the host before giving to the dasher. Third party services can’t do anything about missing items. Again this is the third time they have done this. You would think with all restaurants hurting because of COVID, they would be extra nice and kind and have amazing customer service. But no.
We had the Friday Fish Fry special. Extremely light and crispy beer batter type breading. good portions. Fabulous service.
Food was good service was a bit lax. Brought out unseasoned waffle fries and then took them back to the kitchen. Never came back with replacements. Had to come to the table 4 times to get the bill taken care of.
Ordered a Cubano for dinner. Really tasty and had a great flavor. They have some interesting things on the menu I really want to try!I will be back.
Avoid like the plague. They pumped me full of free shots on Xmas eve making me feel special only to spend the rest of Xmas in jail dui... or just dont drive there🤷♂️
Good food. Good service. Nice patio except they still allow smoking on the patio, so you can’t enjoy the outdoors without being surrounded by inconsiderate smokers. We won’t be back.
I loved the Monday Night Jam Session! Great food with good music on a Monday night. No many places have free music on Monday nights.
I’d give this place a 0 star if I could. If you’re not white & straight don’t expect to gain entry it. This place disgust me that they are still on the same bs even in 2022 I will never go here again. My family and friends will never go here again. Food taste like dog food. Seen mice and drinks are like watered down sugar anyways. I’m gooood
Service was extremely slow. We waited a very long while. Very little follow up once we ordered. We will not go back- Definitely, trying out other places. Cowboy Jack’s had much faster and much better service. We miss the old management greatly!
I live in AV but never go here because the quality of the food and service has gone down over the past few years. Tonight I got a text from some friends that were there so I reluctantly went. Got a drink at the outside bar and then hung out with friends. Went back to the outside bar for another drink and completely got ignored. Bartender kept walking past me. It wasn’t busy at all so no excuse except to be rude. So I got tired of waiting and went back to the table with no drinks. I left and when I got home, I looked at the receipt. I was charged a 3% service fee. Really?! I know some places charge the service fee if you pay with a card BUT they tell you first. Plus, I payed with cash. So if the service fee is for using a card, I was ripped off. Though I was ripped off anyways because you can’t just tack on fees and not tell people.
Place is gross. My food had hair all over it and saw 2 mice run across the floor. As I was leaving witnessed the bouncer turn away people of color, 2 women that were married, and then laughed about it with another employee. Super messed up, this place should be shut down.
Thanks for making our night, we had a horrible experience at Cowboy Jacks so we left and came to Wild Bills. The Artist performing was Awesome, service and staff was great. We even hit big on Pull tabs.
Loved the place! Great food, great drinks, great service! The guy announcing Bingo was a little loud and it was hard to hold conversations during it, but we managed!
Hostess was rude and uncaring when we were seated. Food took 45 minutes to get to us, in which another table was seated, served, billed, and left before us. Server was not attentive. My girlfriend’s mac n cheese was missing bacon and tomatoes so we were given cold salad ingredients to mix in ourselves. Altogether a very disappointing experience.
So, tonight was a crazy experience, I got kicked out of Wild Bills for no reason. I have multiple witnesses that were so confused because I was not in any condition that warranted being kicked out. When they kicked me out the female employee at the door said Okay, bye b****, dont come back again. Dont worry, I will not be back again.
Was not a good experience. Food was definitely poor. I dont know what happened used to have really good food. Said something about the coleslaw and the chicken and they did nothing for me at all very disappointed. Not work the 75 bucks my bill cost me.
Our server Callie did an amazing job last week. What a sweet and hard working gal! This place seems to be improving since Covid and I like it!
Every single employee we interacted with was above and beyond as far as being personable and pleasant. They went above and beyond in the customer service aspect. It could not have been better for our first experience at this establishment! Will 100% be back!
Place gas gone down hill horrible customer service.
Food was good , customer service very poor had to call the waitress over about 5 times to ask for things.
Food delicious as always and strong drinks. Highly recommend if youre in the Burnsville/Apple Valley area.
Tried out a New(for us)sandwich on the menu(I got sauce on the side) it was a bit spricey(& its what the waitress recommended) Thank Goodness!!!
Was seated immediately, server was prompt, very good bacon cheese burger with sweet potato fries. Busy for 7:30 pm. I will recommend and also return to this establishment.
Great service and even better food!! I suggest the parmesan-garlic wings and cheese curds, theyre some of the best Ive ever had.
Waited too long for our order and once it arrived it was warm with the fries being cold. This was probably just a off night on the service as it has always been good. Disappointed tonight.
LOVE this place!! Their parmesan garlic wings are so good! And they are not too salty which was also a plus for me!! Server was super friendly and they have amazing cocktails!
The food was good. Bar Bingo was fun. The waitress was very attentive.
Place ran out of the majority of their beers on a Saturday afternoon. The rest of their beer selection was skunky - per servers recommendations. Clean your taps!
My visit to the Apple Valley Wild Bills Saloon was okay. I was not impressed by the food and cocktails at this location. The customer service was really good.
Bad service and poor attitude from the bartender. Maybe I just caught him at a bad time or maybe he thought I was someone else. I have no idea what the deal was, but Im not going back. It was truly uncomfortable and awkward.
Delicious burger and cold beer on tap. Had a great meal with my family and everyone enjoyed their food. Will definitely be back again.
Horrible management, kicked our friend out after being in there for 4 hrs and spending 100s of dollars because they decided to check ID and he had a dwi 30 years ago then management proceeded to follow him to the truck and poke him in the chest yelling at him until they saw 10 of us come out, also denied people to buy pull tabs cause they didnt leave the seller a 10% tip, very unprofessional, wish I could give negative stars.
I watched one of the bouncers friend pick two separate fights, and they kicked out the other parties instead. Then they all talked about how they all would of smashed their faces in, right in front of the guests. July 15, 2022.
This is a fun place with great staff, bingo on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and pull tabs. Oh, and the food is good too. 😊
Food and drinks used to be great, but the last few times the quality has been not nearly as good. Something changed in the past year or two with the quality.
Server was super busy, our table of 6 helped bus the table prior to start of bingo...took dishes to the bar area...female bartender was a complete witch.
I have to keep looking for my waitress business is horrible here it took them 45 minutes to bring me a drink and they still didn’t get a right
Ooh yum! Chicken chipotle lime tacos!!
Our server Montana was absolutely perfect we ordered ribs and you should either fire your chef or stop serving them because they suck beyond belief I can’t speak to any of your other food choices that you may offer but you should stop serving ribs because you do not have the ability to cook them right
Jillian’s energy, smile & skills makes her an amazing bartender at Wild Bills! Good food & Great Service too!
I live Wild Bills. The atmosphere is rustic and in inviting. Im hoping the bring the peanuts back someday, but that wont stop me from going there.
We had an awesome waitress. The food was good, but It wasnt anything to write home about.
Rude bartender. We went in and sat at the bar. It wasnt crazy busy. But after 10 min of not getting service we got up to leave and the bartender said oh I didnt want to serve you anyways
Sorry no pictures, had the street tacos so yummy, bloody Marys off the hook....
Ate here 5 nights in a row great food each night staff was friendly there was live music one night
Great place! Whenever Im in town visiting my bff we go to Wild Bills. Super fun place to have drinks and catch up! Really nice staff and efficient too!
The food was meh and the service was poor at best...had to ask 4 times to get ice water and the hostess ended up having to bring it.
My boys and I had a great time! Nate is great! Service was decent, they were short handed but handled it with grace!
Big place with many tvs playing every sports ball game you can think of. Get your seats early on Sundays for home games as it fills up quite quickly.
They told me that they only sold alcohol to people with American identification, this despite the fact that I showed them my Spanish ID and then my passportcompany policiesI am 28 years old
Love their bloody marys. The best in town, not to mention the food and bartenders are awesome
Great food, drinks made right and not over priced. Night life is also good here.
Ordered Philly. Meat was good but very small portion on big bun. Fries barely warm.
Really good food, nice, happy hour specials. Molly, the bartender is the best!
Server came to ask for our drink selection before we even fully sat down then continued to come ask what we wanted every 3 minutes after we played our drink n app order
Nice place but the waitresses kinda not nice the food is good
DJ Sooo...Much better then Jacks...music you can actually dance to!
Good food good service. Walking distance from AmericInn and Best Western. Id choose them over Cowboy Jacks ever time
Don’t go here, call the health department this place is disgusting! Their cooks never wash their hands, they don’t even clean their equipment. 🧐
Bingo was awesome. People were great. Food decent.
I felt discriminated against because of my race. The guy that checks id is on a power trip. Needs to be fired.
Been here twice when Ive visited MN...always had a good time dancing/drinking with friends.
Great spot for DJ dancing after 10pm. Drinks are reasonable and a good pour. Patio to chill out on as well.
Had the 1/2 pound cheeseburger lunch special. It was delicious! Great service at the bar.
Waitress was slow...Bar Tender needed more help. We had to ask to have our table cleaned off.
Ribs were EXCELLENT! Bryce on the guitar was great, he is very talented
Buffalo dry rub wings are amazing. Wing quality overall is 🙌 and the waffle fries are 🤌
Marquis is the BEST personality… BEST Bartender of all the employees you got… keep that man.
The restaurant is so so clean! Walked in and was shocked how well it’s maintained. Incredible to see in these trying times
This place is firing on all cylinders!! Cant wait to go back!
Loud, airy...chilly by the window in winter...average bar food. Server was nice.
We go there for work outings. I am sure it is always a lot for the waitress, but they handle it nicely.
