Krystina was a true professional. From the minute I walked in, I felt comfortable and taken care of. The entire staff was welcoming, the salon was clean and smelled so good! I wanted a solid color and was very specific that it couldnt have any red undertones. She took her time to find a color that was what I wanted and wouldnt fade into red. Also, can we talk about the scalp massage?!?!? I was in heaven! My haircut was perfect and she took the time to blow dry and check for any imperfections! 10/10

I have been going to Madison for 7 months now and I will never be going to anyone else!! She is so sweet and so easy to talk to. She never fails to make my hair look and feel amazing. When I walk in the door she already knows what I like and how to get it down perfectly. Highly recommend coming to this salon and booking with Madison!!

Unfortunately, my last experience at J Con was not good. It was my third time visiting Kate for a cut and color. The first two times she did a great job and replicated my inspiration pictures perfectly. We agreed on the exact same color as she had previously done. When she finished, I noticed it was darker than usual but was happy with the cut and style. I didn’t have my glasses on but completely trusted her. When I walked outside I knew it wasn’t what I wanted, and my husband noticed how dark my hair now was. It was supposed to have red in it and it’s like she just changed it to a really dark brown color without asking. It covered up all my highlights that I now have to replace. This has been stressful.I’m still giving J Con 4 stars because Tina has saved my brows. They were patchy when I started seeing her and they look so good now.

This was the most relaxing stress-free haircut I have ever had. Rachel Marie did a dry cut to shape my curls, the best wash ever (ever!), and styled with a Denman brush and I’m in heaven.

Meagan has been styling my hair for 8 years. I lucked out and found her when I first moved to St Pete. She does an awesome job and is super fun to chat with. I wouldn’t go to anyone else. Get your appointment on the books asap! New do = new you!!!

It was my first time here, sadly last time also. Amanda cut my hair. I showed her a picture, simple Bob cut. Soon as she started to cut I knew she has no idea what to do with it. I was very disappointed. My family and friends were the once who were very honest with me, told me it looks bad. Is this worth $51 plus tip? I thought only best of the best work there.

Nyla is AWESOME!!! She has been my nail tech for many years. She does a great job with my Shellac manicure! When I get French, she uses a particular brush to curve the tip so it looks natural, not like some other places who take a short cut and just make a straight line. When I cant decide on color her suggestions are always spot on! Not only that but Nyla is really friendly and very welcoming to everyone! She is an upbeat positive professional and Im really glad she does my nails. Its nice knowing her!

Out of all the salons I’ve been to, J.CON is by far the best in area! I would highly recommend requesting Rachel Redl as your stylist. She has been cutting and coloring my hair since 2019 and she never disappoints! She carefully listens to what I’m looking for/hoping to achieve with my hair and takes her time from washing to cutting and drying to make sure I love it. She’s very easy to talk to during the appointment but she also doesn’t mind when I bring my laptop/earbuds and work from her chair! Ever since I first started seeing Rachel, I haven’t let anyone else touch my hair and I’m already looking forward to my next visit (and those lavender eye masks + head massage that comes with the wash – the best part of my week for sure!)

Krystina G is absolutely amazing. She really listened to what I wanted and executed perfectly. She is very precise and takes the time to make sure my hair is perfect every time. Nyla is AMAZING! I saw her for 2 years when I lived in St Pete. Then I moved to Sarasota a year ago and struggled to find her quality of service anywhere in Sarasota and Bradenton. Now I drive an hour back to St Pete just for her pedicures. She is the best in the business.

Genevieve Griffin is the only person I will let cut my hair. I will fly down to Florida from California once a year to have her cut my hair. She knows the texture of My hair, the techniques to help it grow healthy and strong and the exact products needed it keep it shiny and full of life. I have never had a bad experience in the last 8 years I have known her to manage my hair.

I love J.CON! Rachel Redl has been cutting/coloring my hair since I moved to St. Pete over a year ago, and now there’s no one else I’d trust to touch my hair but her. I couldn’t recommend her more! Rachel took me from brunette to the perfect lived-in blonde and always keeps my hair healthy with treatment and shampoo/conditioner recommendations, too. :)

Nyla is the absolute best! I used to have an issue with hangnails and my nails struggled to grow. Now they are stronger and gorgeous! It can take me up to 2 hours to travel to this salon to see Nyla and she is worth every bit of the effort it takes!

I got my haircut and a botanical repair treatment by Hannah Aviles today and she was super lovely/talented!! My hair is softer and looks so much lighter and healthier. The salon is very clean/big and has a nice ambiance as well. Highly recommend!

I will forever shout Edith’s name from the rooftops when it comes to my pedicures! I have super dry feet and a busy life and every 6-8 weeks she brings my toes back to life! She takes her time, pays attention to detail and truly cares about her clients. I will never go anywhere else for pedicures!

I loved it Joshua did such a great job at making me feel comfortable and relaxed he did a great job on the cut and the color of my hair.... It was a little pricey but it was worth it for the treatment you get and how clean and nice the salon is it was worth the money I finally found a salon that I really like

Krystina did my hair and I love it so much! She took such good care of me and was looking out for the little things that other stylists have not before. She explained the condition of my scalp and gave me recommendations to help with that. Absolutely will be back everytime to see her.

I have been going to Jcon for about 15 years and love it so much. I moved 3 years ago and still travel an hour once a month just to see Edith to get my pedicure from her. I love how they maintain the spa and how great the staff is.

I have been going here for 20 years. I have had 4 different stylists and they have all been wonderful. I have 4 stars because although a great place, it’s pretty expensive. $200 for a single process, cut and style. I find I go every 2-3 months now instead of every 6 weeks.

Edith is a true professional and does exceptional manicures and pedicures. She goes above and beyond and provides a spa experience while you are there. I never want to go anywhere else for these services again!

I had a wonderful experience at this salon with Krystina. She’s a newer stylist but absolutely fantastic. She’s not only very friendly, but a great stylist. I have had an updo and a haircut with her, and I would not hesitate to see her again! Highly recommend!

Edith provides exceptional care for your nails. Not only do your nails look beautiful, but she teaches and advises regarding nail health, longevity of your service, and also engages you with interesting conversation! She is truly interested in your well-being! She is the best!

Krystina Gillespie did an amazing job on my hair. She is an expertise in color and did a great precision trim. She took gentle care with my hair because I was diagnosed with breat cancer so I didnt lose hair. The color is beautiful and blends well. I have received many compliments. I highly recommend her for whatever you need. She is professional and works hard and gives it 100 percent quality and attention to your hair needs

This is a very nice salon, and on the pricier side. They DO NOT support the LGBTQ+ community. My hair stylist had to resign because they did not care to hear what he had to say about the LGBTQ+ community and the owner made his own employee feel unsafe and not accepted as a person. The owner J.Con himself needs to get a grip in reality and understand the world changes and needs to accept people for who they are. In result to this, he lost a very hard working, amazing employee. Do not recommend.

AMANDA DID AN AMAZING JOB AS ALWAYS. I went in for a trim and blow out and it turned out beautiful. I got a relaxing hair wash and loved my girl chit chats with her. She also did my balayage sometime in February and it grew out beautifully.

Edith is the best ! Ill never go to anyone else if I can help it. She does an excellent job and has taught me how to better care for my nails and cuticles between appointments.Thanks Edith, for making me feel pretty. You have my trust, my business, and my friendship.

I LOVE this salon! Ive been going to JCON for hair cuts/color, nails, waxing and am literally in there about 1-2 times a month for 15 years! Nyla is my go-to for all things nails as she is very pleasant, professional, and is amazing at her craft. She works with me to help get me on her books even when shes typically booked up. Ive been her client for at least 6 years and our loyalty to each other is so important to me. I refer all my friends and family to her too and they always LOVE their nails.I cannot say enough about June and McKenna who both tag team my hair. June and I have been together for probably 10 years and Ive just started seeing McKenna for some of my appointments as well. I love my hairstylists at JCON!

I have had to pleasure of seeing Nyla for a Men’s pedicure for the past 2 years. Her work ethic has been exceptional and the results are always relieving. She really understands how to care for those of us who are advancing in years. I always look forward to my next session with Nyla!

I had an appointment this morning with Alex for a wash, cut and blowdry and i was very satisfied with my service! I was in & out within 40 minutes, my hair looks amazing and feels so healthy. I will definitely be back:)

I have been seeing my masseuse, Stephanie since 2018 and I would never want to have anyone but her. She not only gives a fantastic massage but is there for my mental health and wellbeing. I have never left her without feeling my very best!!! She has that magic touch ❤️😊 if you are looking for a masseuse look no further, but need to book early, she IS THAT GOOD 👍 😊💋 My only regret is that I can’t go every week!

I always have gone to Rachel Redl to get my hair cut! I have never colored my hair before, but from Rachel’s hair instagram it is clear that she does an amazing job. Whenever she cuts my hair it turns out the exact way that I ask her to - long layers. My hair is incredibly thick and she is able to navigate it successfully! Would definitely recommend booking with Rachel the next time you make an appointment, you won’t regret it!

My latest visit with Krystina was great!!!! I had never gotten a toner before and her suggestion was perfect. My blonde is beautiful. I highly recommend her for all your blonde needs. She is very knowledgeable, easy to talk to creates a safe space.

JCON is a wonderful place to be pampered.My manicurist, Nyla, is simply, THE BEST!!! She works miracles with my difficult toenails.The facility itself is wonderful. Spotless and very comfortable. The staff is friendly and always helpful.The best of the ‘burg!!

I’ve been getting manicures and pedicures with Edith for at least 10 years now. She is the BEST! She pays attention to detail and has been flexible when I’ve needed some special accommodations!

Very disappointed with my experience today. I have been going to Arlene for about a year now, and has time has gone by, she has become progressively more unfriendly with me due to me being 5-10 minutes late to some of my hair appointments. She is visually upset with me most of the time for reasons out of my control (traffic, crashes on the road on the way there, etc.). I had to reschedule an appointment last minute one time, and the next time I came in, she said that if I did that again, she will not continue to cut my hair. I felt bad, so that same day, I gave her an $81 tip for “making her lose money.” Apparently that wasn’t enough because today, she decided to rush through my haircut, was visibly upset, and gave me the silent treatment. I don’t go to get my haircut to be treated this way, and I will not be going back to this salon again. I cannot recommend Arlene or this salon due to the unprofessionalism on her part. I find it unacceptable to treat customers the way she does.Lastly, it seemed as though she intentionally gave me a poor and rushed haircut today due to me being 9 minutes late to my appointment. I am sorry, but this haircut is not worth the $51 that I paid for it.Did not want to write this review, but I don’t want others in the future to experience what I did.A picture of the back of haircut is posted below. It’s very uneven and looks unfinished.

For a year now I have been booking my appointments with Heather Smith. I leave the salon feeling happy and confident Every. Single. Time. Heather is incredible at listening and makes the client feel comfortable. We normally do trendy cuts like curtain bangs and layers. With this latest appointment we did a chocolate balayage on my textured hair and she did SPECTACULAR. She is forever my go-to hair artist!

Edith provides the best services ever! She is always pleasant and perfectionist. I consistently leave the salon after an appointment and feel like I have a new great outlook on life. My daughter, Laura Ballentine, who was reluctant to get a pedicure, admired Edith’s work so much after her visit that she booked an appointment with her for manicure, too. I love this salon. I recently had my hair cut by Heather S. and she was absolutely lovely. She gave me the haircut I had pictured and I couldn’t be happier about it. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. When I first arrived, the woman at the front desk offered me water or coffee and was a total delight. I look forward to my next haircut!

I get my haircut with Rachel Redl and it’s the highlight of my week! She’s a rockstar to be around and her haircuts are consistently perfect. Little things that shows she cares are the notes she takes, and the lavender eye mask she uses that she knows I love!

Genevieve destroyed my hair. She let me walk out of the salon with chunks falling out due to the damage she inflicted and then tried to gaslight me into thinking it was all ok. I was told from a different salon, that I had to find to try and fix my hair, what happened to me is the reason stylists carry insurance. She destroyed my hair and Aveda took no responsibility. Do not trust.

Ive come here for 12 years at least and they have never dropped in quality. I used to have short (mens) hair and now keep it long, and never ever gotten a bad cut. The hostesses always know who to pair you up with, so be sure to tell them exactly what youre looking for. They are indeed an Aveda salon with all the products youd want available for purchase as well!

My family has been going to JCON for years now and we highly recommend it to others. The services and level of professionalism are top notch! I’m especially recommending Tiffany Z! She is SO extremely talented when it comes to both color and cut but I would say her most valued skill is her discernment and stylistic eye in knowing what I need and desire before I even have to say anything! As a result I have so much trust and ease (and well as excitement!) each time I book her. She always makes me feel like the best version of myself which counts for so much in my busy mom life. An added bonus is she goes out the way to educate you on how to style your hair! I owe my iron and drying skills to her taking the time with me and training me so that I look my best. Although I must also note that her cuts are so great I can air dry my hair often and it looks chic..definitely the sign of a good cut!So thankful for this amazing woman! Hands down Madison is the best hair stylist I’ve been to! After 8 months of grow out in about five sessions Madison has my hair looking amazing! She is the easiest person to talk to, and makes the experience amazing. She sits and listens to what you want done and will go through the safest steps to get to your final color. I recently returned to the area and needed to find someone, my Mom recommended Claire. Today was my first appointment with her and I couldn’t be happier. This is by far the best place I’ve ever been to. I was notified that she was running behind which I thought was so kind to let me know before I got there so they asked my to arrive just 15 minutes later. When I walked in I was greeted by the sweetest person. I didn’t wait long at all before Claire came out to get me. She looked at my hair and came up with the best plan for me. I listened to what she recommended and agreed. When she was done with color and dryer she took me to the area where they wash your hair that’s when I was really blown away by this place. The chairs recline back, the sink doesn’t kill your neck and they place a mask over your eyes. I almost completely fell asleep. It was so relaxing! She was so sweet and did the most amazing job on my hair. I couldn’t be happier. This was really the best day. I couldn’t possibly thank her enough.

If you care about the health of your nails and of course the appearance there’s no one else I would go to but Nyla at Jcon. Not only is she a “star” at what she does but she is full of kindness and patience and is a pleasure to be around.

I came here last week and saw Sadet. I cannot say enough! He was absolutely wonderful! I am very picky about my hair. He listened to what I wanted. I told him q longer length than I actually wanted, because from past experiences they always cut more. He did not cut more! He actually listened! I hadnt been to a salon in years, so I was a little nervous for my appointment. My stylist, Hattie, was amazing and really made me feel comfortable! She talked me through the whole consultation and answered all my questions (I am curious by nature, so there was a lot of questions 😅). The haircut is absolutely perfect and the way she styled it was chefs kiss! Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I absolutely will be back to see Hattie again!

I went into the salon to get a full head of highlights after years of not having my hair done. Krystina lightened my color and I absolutely love it!

Brittany has a way of interpreting what you want and need to have done with your hair in a way that turns out better than you could have hoped. Stephanie makes eyebrows appear out of thin air, but in a totally natural way. From appointment setting to walking out the door feeling refreshed, the J Con team takes care of their clients. This salon has been my go to for the last 12 years and I have no desire to look elsewhere. The absolute best of the best!

I followed my wonderful hair stylist Nadia to J Con when the downtown Aveda salon closed. It’s a longer drive for me but Nadia is so worth it. She’s really knowledgeable about color, cut, styling, etc., listens to what I want, and helps with suggestions. I always feel and look better after I’ve been there. The salon is big, clean and modern and has a great vibe (and a spacious parking lot).

I had an amazing experience at this salon, where I received an awesome bob cut from a level 1 stylist. Their attention to detail and precision in crafting the bob cut were truly commendable. The stylists enthusiasm and willingness to listen to my preferences resulted in a haircut that exceeded my expectations. The salons commitment to nurturing emerging talents is clearly paying off, and Im thrilled with my stylish new look. Ill definitely be returning for more fantastic experiences at this salon!

Nyla does is very detailed and skilled, I am always very satisfied, MORE the satisfied when it comes to the work she does. She is very kind and patient with her skill.

April 25th...i have been seeing Genevieve for the last few years and my hair looks great every time! She understands my curly hair and treats it as her own. If i come in with a concern, she is always quick to have a workable solution. She is knowledgeable in her hair craft and expertly skilled in her skills to make my brown hair a gorgeous blonde. I always appreciate her taking time with me and explaining reasons for different styling techniques. And she always has great conversation.

I adore coming to J.CON Salon. The staff is always friendly and greets you when you come in. Amanda has been my stylist for over a year and continues to give me the best haircuts I’ve ever had. Checking in and pre-booking your appointments are a breeze. The prices are more than fair for the service you receive. There is more than enough parking. The other thing I love is seeing the employees appear to be happy and having fun together while working. Great place and will continue to be a customer.

I have great experiences each time I have gotten services at J.Con. Claire has helped me go from no style mid length mousy frizz to a much more flattering short cut. She knows exactly how to turn the fuzz onto manageable curls using products and appliances. She has spent a lot of time showing me how to achieve the awesome look I walk out with. I learn a nee secret each time I visit. Claire has even graciously “tweaked” a mistake I asked her to make. I can’t say enough great things about Claire. The salon makes things seamless for me too with professional, gracious staff and reminder texts. Sadat is an artist! He is a master at coloring. You will not find anyone better than Sadat!Sadat listened to me during my consultation at the beginning of July 2023. I dreamt of the days that my hair was naturally blonde. I didn’t think it was possible, but Sadat colored my hair with highlights, lowlights & other magical things. Then poof, my hair color looks the best it’s looked in decades. My hair color looks natural and I kept the length.He also went out of his way to style my hair, so I’d look good for upcoming appointments. He is a joy to talk with & so talented!My hair color was a mess! Post pandemic you could see three different layers of color in my hair. At the bottom layer, it had the color from a professional, then the at-home box color from the beginning of the pandemic, and the last layer was my natural hair with gray (thinking I’d go natural). I didn’t have high expectations that my hair could be saved.I’ve been had my hair highlighted for decades. I’ve gone to stylists from coast to coast: stylists in California for the “stars”, J Conn years ago, to stylist of local on-air tv professionals, and other stylists around the area. No one has colored my hair better than Sadat. He is the best!!!If you want your hair colored, go to Sadat! I highly recommend him!!

My experience was exceptional from the moment I walked in the front doors. The greeter was courteous and made sure I had everything I needed.The BEST. part was Tiffany and Tas. So knowledgeable and helpful. They made me feel like royalty. Tas was very attentive and focused. This salon does not stand behind their work and will not correct their own mistakes. I am so disappointed in the horrible customer service at Jcon Salon. I’ve spent more money that I’ll admit publicly over the last several years at this salon and my stylist made a mistake - I specifically asked for ash toner and my natural brunette hair with blonde balayage came out orange and yellow. The manager refused to allow my stylist to correct my color. I had to wait 2 weeks for a color correction appointment, and since I recently moved I drove 2.5 hours for color correct and all they did was a Malibu treatment I could have done at home for $3.70. My hair is still disgusting looking. Not only did they not correct the color, but at 8pm the manager said she had to call the owner to authorize color correction and made me sit there another hour - until 9pm!!!! For no reason!!! A full hour later at 9pm she said we’ll have someone cal you tomorrow. Complete waste of my time and money - the manager has no respect for clients, argued with me over color when I’ve been having my color done over 20 years and she clearly hasn’t had any color processing on her hair in the last 5+ years by the looks of her hair. Please take responsibility for your mistakes and fix them, offering a slight discount on future services is not an acceptable solution. Simple solution - you make a mistake you fix it - unless you’re Jcon salon and you refuse to correct your mistakes. It’s not the stylists’ fault the manager was argumentative, forced me to stay in the salon an extra hour unnecessarily and refused to correct my color - this is poor management.

Nyla is an outstanding nail specialist. She is an expert at her craft and because of her skill level with my regular pedicures, I have avoided podiatry surgery. She is a 5 star professional !

Went in today and saw Bryce who is a doll. He cut my hair just the way I wanted it. He was very precise and made suggestions (which was perfect) plus my hair smells delish when I left.

I had my hair cut here for 10 years. I had long hair to the middle of my back which grows slowly so I only asked for Mico-trims. the first two stylist were good and the second one lasted for 6 yrs. before leaving. The 3rd stylist razored my hair, without asking after I ask, she just follow my existing routine.I changed stylist and had to cut off a significant amount of hair due to the razor cut which took 2 yrs. to grow most of it back. She did not get the same look, but it was passable. The last time I saw her, the 4th stylist she seemed moody and angry, she turned my chair and cut almost all of my hair off above the shoulders. I was sick about it but could do nothing. She had been let go and I was comped a haircut 3 months later.After explaining what I wanted I asked her to repeat back what she understood I said. she then proceeded to do just the opposite and cut off even more hair. She also cut the hair so uneven it was shocking to think how she could be working there. I later came in to talk to the staff and a senor stylist about what happened and the uneven haircut that was above shoulder length. They were dismissive did not seem to care about the poor quality of their staff.I have not cut my hair for 8 months a only a fraction has grown back.I have to say the odds of getting someone who listens and is capable of doing a simple Mico-trim are not good. If you want to keep your hair I would not recommend coming here

For the second time in a row my hairdresser messed up my highlights even though she had already fixed it once - this time happened to be the day before I left for a 3 week trip to Mexico, leaving mw with no time to have her fix it before I left. I tried to have her fix it when I returned and they refused to do anything about it but offer me a discount on a new service. Do not recommend.

I made an appointment with Claire this past week and as I am a new client, I was slightly nervous and not sure what to expect. She absolutely exceeded my expectations! I wanted to do an overall dark color which is my usual, she suggested we do foils to add dimension. I decided to trust her and boy am I glad that I did. My hair looks better than it ever has. Its been non stop complements since I stepped out of her chair. Shes an extremely talented lady and I cant thank her enough.

I was a walk in at the gateway location, while there were no stylist available there, they referred me to this location as there was a single opening available. I haven’t had my hair done in years after multiple bad experiences but Rachel made me believe that finding a good hairdresser was easier than expected. I booked an appointment for highlights with Angie after reading a good review for her color services, and was definitely not disappointed! She took the time to listen to what I wanted and gave me a beautiful highlight/low light job that is one of the best I’ve ever had! I booked a keratin service with her which was also amazing. I’ll definitely recommend her to friends!

Ive been doing my haircut here for a few years now. I recently went in for a color change with Addison. Shes amazing. I brought her in a picture of something very different, it took 4 hrs but that was to be expected of what I wanted done. She did an amazing job! I already scheduled my next appt with her. I highly recommend this place and Addison for color.

Arlene rushed me through the haircut. She was throwing the brush’s and products around very aggressively too. Not a calming experience at all. Also a big red flag was when she hurt my scalp by keeping the blow dryer heat on it too long. She proceeds to blame it on me being sensitive. Uh no, you need to move the hairdryer more. She didn’t give me the cut I wanted either. I showed her a photo and she gave me a very blunt cut. I don’t like it at all. I’m going somewhere else. I’ve had three bad experiences at J Con, three strikes you’re out.

This is the first time I’ve found a salon and stylist that I love enough to come back consistently to! Lynn is just the best. I came to her about a year ago hoping to get a perm, and my hair really was not in good shape for one. She was honest about what needed to be done, and we scheduled regular cuts and treatments to nurse my hair back to health. 8 months later, I finally was able for her to give me a perm and it feels so healthy and looks great! I’m glad to have a stylist that will be honest with me and make sure I’m doing what’s best for my hair’s health, and not just someone that will give me what I ask for even if they don’t believe it’s what’s right for my hair. She does things the right way and that’s super important to me! Highly recommend Lynn!

Best salon full service in St. Petersburg. Nadia is talented and professional, and friendly. They use and sell Aveda products that have improved the health of my hair.

Stylist ran 30 minutes behind. They did not have the conditioner for my granddaughters hair, Rosemary Mint. Shes allergic to the others. They had it on the shelf to purchase which I had to buy for them to use. Then they informed me of an additional charge of 9 dollars for a few curls. When I booked the appointment I told them about the curls they said no problem theres enough time to do that. Spoke with 2 managers with no results except theres nothing we can do.Really not a professional response.
