This has been our second visit here! We travel all the way here from Idaho, and never ever regret! Here is a summary of my review:The fascial was amazing. The girls did an amazing job with the face scrubs etc. the location is clean, and the amenities are amazing. It is super relaxing and everyone is so friendly and professional.Side note:Make sure to drink some of the Chlorophyll water to help hydrate you and detoxify you!

My first prenatal massage was a dream. I was comfortable and able to relax for a whole hour. Jacqui took great care of me. I will be back!

Every time I come here, Ive been able to unwind and destress. Julietta is amazing, personable, and extremely accommodating. You can tell that shes put her all into this peaceful escape. I moved to Utah in December from Northern Virginia/DC and its been super hard to find spas that are anywhere near the caliber I was used to and Id say that Matrix is top-notch in the SLC area. Before your massagebe sure to destress and loosen up those tense muscles in the infrared sauna. On other days, try out the steam sauna, cold plunge pool, massage chairs, meditation room, etc. Ive tried nearly every service, and I keep returning. Come give it a try!! This spa snob gives it 2 thumbs up!

Matrix Spa and Massage gave my fiancé and I an exceptional experience. We work long days on our feet, and their massages were relaxing and helped us understand more about our physical issues. We also enjoyed their dry sauna, cold plunge, and steam room, all seemingly brand new! The staff were informative, and accommodating and I love how the place is decorated. After my fiancé convinced me to go, today I had my first ever massage therapy experience. Therapist Donna was so amazing and comforting. I expressed my anxiety of it being my first time and Donna couldn’t have been anything better. An absolutely wonderful experience. I definitely will be seeing Donna again. So worth going and experiencing! I feel so relaxed and released from all my built up tension and stresses. I loved the atmosphere and conversation. The person at the front desk was also very kind and showed me a beginner’s guide video as to what to expect as a newbie. A fellow patron who happened to be a therapist herself also talked to me about what I should expect and reassured me that it was going to be an enjoyable experience. It absolutely was. Overall amazing staff, patrons, and business as a whole. Please visit Donna and Matrix if you’re looking for a great place to feel safe and amazing.

My partner and I did massages (Val and Rodrigo are AMAZING, best massage I think I’ve ever had), we also did the foot detox (so cool and feel better and lighter after) and then the hydrotherapy (cold plunge, steam and infrared sauna). It was nice and quiet on Sunday, staff were attentive and helpful (Julietta was SO nice) facility beautiful and clean, fun snacks and drinks, I would just recommend bringing your own swimming suit if you do hydrotherapy, the disposable ones aren’t the comfiest. This was a perfect holiday time out for my partner and I, will definitely come back and definitely recommend.

I had the pleasure of getting a massage from Julietta on my Birthday, and I have never experienced a massage like this. I felt so taken care of, Julietta really listened to my needs and focused on the areas I was needing help with. After my massage I used the facility for a hydrotherapy session, and it was such a treat. I have been there a couple of times and I have never been disappointed. Everything from the staff, to the location, and facility, this is my absolute favorite place for spa treatments!

The outside of this spa is deceptive to how large and luxurious it is inside. The owner has put so much thought and care into the building. The facilities are so professional and relaxing. I highly recommend using the additional facilities of the cold plunge and sauna. The therapists and aestheticians are professional, amazing, and really know what they’re doing. I would highly recommend this business.

Loved this relaxing massage! The masseuse focused on particular areas that needed to be worked out. The room was also inviting -- calming, clean, and inviting. I wouldve just loved periodic check-ins to see when/where more/less pressure needed to be applied but it was wonderful overall and I came out of it very happy and relaxed!

Ive recently had the most incredible experience at Matrix Spa Before my massage, I was treated to a sensory journey that was both exhilarating and beautiful. blindfolded, I was guided through a meditative audio experience that transported me. It also included textures and scents. It was like exploring a new dimension, and I was completely immersed in the experience. The combination of sounds, aromas, and tactile sensations was truly delightful and left me feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. I highly recommend adding this sensory experience to your spa treatment - its a game-changer! 🙌🏼 Ive been visited this place like four times and it never disappoints!

Ive been searching for a massage therapist who does bodywork since I moved to Salt Lake City. This past Sunday, I booked 90 mins with Richard Hart, hoping he could relieve some of my lower back pain. I do some kind of workout every day and have just been pushing through with a very tight lower back. I went into the massage in pain and left completely relieved. I honestly didnt even realize how much pain I was in until the absence of it. Its been 4 days and Ive worked out 4 times and still no pain. I will book again with Richard, he is now part of my monthly self care routine. He knows the body. He knows how to target areas of tension and release them. He is kind of a miracle worker. The entire staff at Matrix is very friendly and the spa offers tons of services. I highly recommend.

There are so many good things to say about this place. The biggest shout out to Donna May who gave me the best deep tissue massage I’ve ever had in my life. Repeat: the BEST deep tissue massage I’ve ever had IN MY LIFE. The price was $95 for an hour.Other pros: they got me in on a Sunday.The facility is very clean.They have optional spa upgrades (see photos).Cons: They have this required form where you have to fill out medical information. I don’t like providing my medical information and it wasn’t necessary for this type of appointment.The booking process could be simpler but it’s not a make or break.Overall, I had a nice time and look forward to booking with Donna May in the future.

I just had the worst massage of my life here. My husband and I did a couple massage with a male and female masseuse. I regrettably got the male masseuse.The massage starts and within five minutes I knew this was going to be awful. He was putting so much pressure on me that the table I was laying on was shifting INCHES and screeching along the floor. Not once, not twice, THREE TIMES throughout the massage… like, I shouldn’t have to say anything, you’re obviously putting too much dang pressure on me if the ENTIRE TABLE IS MOVING!!Not only that, but the full 90 minutes he was chastising me about my breathing. “I can’t do anything here if you don’t release your breath. You need to take deep breaths”… It was honestly so annoying and I wanted him to stop talking. It was constant. He made me feel like I was in labor with all of his “breathe” talk. Not relaxing in the slightest, but then again, nothing about this massage was relaxing.When I flipped on my back, he massaged my sternum… I have NEVER had that happen and it was extremely uncomfortable.And while I was still laying on my back, he then put his hands under my back and lifts me up inches off of the table… and then tells me I need to push my chest out.. that was also sooo uncomfortable. My chest was only underneath the one white sheet (not the heavy waffle blanket like the rest of my body), I felt like my nipples were exposed and he could see everything… And also what in the exorcist was going on here?? Like, why are you lifting me up like this??And like I mentioned earlier, the entire massage he’s coaching me on how to breathe.. but while on my back it was just awful. He would do his breaths alongside me and his breath smelt awful.. truly truly awful!I was also cold the entire time. The masseuse didn’t give me any hot towels while my husband had hot towels during his massage.Oh and I almost forgot to mention, the head thing you put your face through, whatever towel or padding they were using felt like sandpaper. Maybe it’s because my face was nearly falling threw it with all the dang pressure I was getting. My cheeks felt raw and red and hurt.Then my husband’s masseuse concludes that that was the end of the session, and the guy wasn’t even finished with the other side of my lower body. Which at this point, good riddance and also it just solidified even more why this was such an awful experience. He hurried and threw the blanket back over my leg and like, stroked it over the blanket a few times and left..Once they left to let us get back into our clothes, my hair was stuck!!! The masseuse had tangled my hair into the table and I literally could not move. It was a good thing my husband was there or I would have been legitimately stuck.. my husband untangled me the best he could and still had to rip a few hairs out.This was honestly the worst massage experience ever. Do not come here. I did not leave feeling relaxed or that my tension was resolved (which I told both masseuses that my neck and shoulders were the focus areas and my masseuse barely touched these areas). I left feeling even worse. My masseuse was using his freakin elbow and forearm the entire time.Worst massage ever.

I could feel the tension in my neck and back forming and was desperate to find a place that had an opening for a massage. I called around. Matrix & Massage got me in. I am so fortunate to have met Richard. He truly has a gift. He catered to what my body needed. If you are someone who struggles with headaches and migraines, please call and book with Richard. You will not be disappointed.

We had such an amazing experience. We were greeted with kindness and asked if we wanted anything to drink as we walked in. Our massage was relaxing, and hit all my problem area’s. The sauna, steam room, and ice bath were also an unforgettable experience. It’s beautifully decorated and has such a calm relaxing vibe. I’ll definitely be going back.

I’ve always had the best deep tissue massages at Matrix but today’s was exceptionally great. Rachel is an amazing therapist! If you need some self care and relaxation this is definitely the place!

I don’t think I could recommend Richard enough! I came over a year ago and worked with him and no other massage I’ve had since has compared! Not only did I feel great after the massage but for a long while after I had no tightness and was feeling great! He solves the problems in your body! He is so kind and informative! If you’re looking for a solution to pain problems Richard is the guy!

I recently had a swedish massage here based on some of the highly rated reviews. I have to say, this was one of the worst massages I have ever had in my life. I have to question whether or not the therapist actually went to massage therapy school. I felt as if I was being “massaged” by a 6 year-old. I was asked what areas I would like to focus on. I told the therapist I wanted to specifically work on my low back, my glutes, and my hamstrings. She then proceeded to oddly pull and poke at my upper and mid back for most of the massage. She ignored my lower back, and spent approximately 7 minutes on my lower extremities. I almost claimed I was ill about halfway through so I could leave because it was that uncomfortable. Would not recommend to anyone.

This place is a hidden gem! The staff were all very kind. They legit pamper you throughout your whole stay! It’s amazing! This is the prefect place to go for some relaxation. The hydro circuit was such a cool experience. I would highly recommend checking them out!I would highly suggest paying with cash, they charge a 3% fee for cards which I thought was kind of ridiculous 😭

I have never had a bad massage at Matrix Spa and Massage. Rachel gives the best massages that relax and also work out all the kinks and soreness. Everyone is kind and professional and there is always a relaxing environment. I recommend Matrix to anyone needing a massage

Came here for recovery after 2 days of skiing. We had a really nice time. The sensory experience was so cool and they had a sauna, steam shower, cold tub and massage chairs. Definitely recommend!!

Just got a couples massage today by Julieta & Val Rose! It was the most relaxing & amazing massage we have had. I will definitely be coming back here for all of my future massages!! The heated massage tables & relaxing music was a plus!

My husband and I just got a Swedish couples massage and couldn’t be more pleased. The front desk attendant was great and even offered some food recommendations. Our masseuses were Gwen and Rodrigo. I had Gwen and they were amazing, attentive, and took the time to make the experience amazing. My husband had Rodrigo and they were also attentive and made the experience great. We will be back! This place offers sauna, steam room and ice bath if youre into that. Every single therapist here offers something different, they are ALL talented in their own unique way. You just got to find the one that fits you. You can get cupping, hot stones, energy work such as cranial. They even have a therapist here that does stretching or you can get a facial.

Spend your money somewhere else!This was a huge mistake Groupon purchase. I read that what I was purchasing was a facial and body massage (by a licensed specialist) on a forward facing chair.I called the spa to make an appointment and confirmed date/time. I received 2 text messages over the next week confirming the date and time. When it came to the day of the appointment, I got a text message wondering if I was coming in that day. I told them yes and got a reply that they needed to know how soon I could come in. I assumed they had a cancellation and wanted to see if I could bump my appointment up. I told them I could be there in 30 min. I got back a OK. It took me about 40 minutes to get there and I was 50 min early for my scheduled appointment. When I get there I am told that my appointment was being cut back because they had me scheduled earlier. I showed them the multiple messages I got and I got a shrug and told sorry we are going to have to hurry as they have another appointment coming in and there are constant issues with the owners bad scheduling, but they cant speak to that as they are the technicians. By the time I changed and laid on the table, I got essentially a 20 minute no frills basic cheapo facial that was akin to me putting a light exfoliator on and cleansing. I was told I was being taken downstairs for my massage. Then I was put into an electric massage chair like they have at most nail salons and was left there. No one was around, no one ever came to say a peep to me so I stayed in the chair in the basement trying to get something out of my time. I have never had such a waste of money feeling and feeling like it was the biggest waste of time. Of all the spas I could have gone to and spent money and had great service and value for my dollar. Never again.(They dont deserve the one star I had to click on to leave this review)

Having been to Japan myself, it was fun.*Our shoes were traded out for slippers to wear throughout the establishment. It added to the environment and got us mentally prepped for our massage.*Our massage room was kept dark; surprisingly challenging for a sunny window in the afternoon.*The massage beds are heated - nice surprise!*The steam room is large and quite relaxing!And finally...*OUR MASASAGE THERAPIST: They were wonderful! We have asked at other massage places for deep tissue... This was our first time actually getting a deep tissue massage!Now for the negatives:*We had soft waves and rain music for most of our massage. It was nice, but as we were getting dressed, the music changed to Asian instruments. We would have liked to have had the music during our session as it kept with the theme. Since we paid $385 PLUS tip, I would expect the full massage.How do I know we didnt get the full massage? Ill explain - We arrived at 3pm. On the website, it says there is a 10 minute intake & QA followed by the massage. After we got ready for our massage and laid on the table, I saw my phone said 3:15 exactly. After our supposed 90 minute massage and advertised 15-minute reflexology, my phone said 4:38. I took a screenshot on my phone and took a picture of the clock in our room. If we had the full time on the massage and reflexology, it should have been 5pm. Even if we have started right at 3pm, it would have been 4:45pm. Either way, we were shorted time.I dont believe in paying for services not rendered, and for that reason, I gave our experience a three-star.

I have had deep-tissue sports massages for decades -- and Jacqui is without question one of the very best Ive ever met -- a wizard.

It had been awhile since my last massage and my visit made up for that time. Donna May was my massage therapist and she did a great job.

Matrix was great! The atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was excellent. My only hang-up was that parking was confusing and I got a bit lost.

I received a 90 minute prenatal massage by Jacqui at the recommendation of my sister and it was fantastic. I would return if I lived locally, but I was only in town for a visit. I will say this is not a day-spa experience (no robes, relaxation room, etc.), but the atmosphere was still very relaxing. Jacqui had a pad on the table for me to lay facedown and support my body weight off of my belly, that on its own was great! At one point I felt the need to adjust the way I was laying and she gave me a moment to be sure I was comfortable. It felt like she was very present during my massage, focusing on areas that were requiring extra attention and finding tightness I hadnt even noticed because I was so uncomfortable in other areas. I slept so well the nights following that massage and she definitely helped with my pregnancy pains.

My husband and I came to Matrix for the Emerald package and had a wonderful experience! Donna May gave me a life-changing massage and we certainly hope to return. The sauna/bath area very much reminded me of a Korean jjimjilbang and had plenty of refreshments, towels, and robes, as well as chlorophyll water. All of the staff was very friendly and skilled—Thank you so much for taking care of us today!!

This place had nice masseuses and staff working downstairs at the spa, but I was incredibly disappointed by the front desk customer service they accidentally charged us $500 on top of the expenses for our service and turned a birthday present to relieve my stress into an even more stressful situation. My husband tried to treat me to a spa day here and when I was on my way out they accidentally charged me $500 for someone else’s package, then explained they charged me for the wrong special after I had to look over the charges and pointed out their pricing. Then they did not refund me and just charged an additional $300 to they same card. I stood around asking when they would be able to refund me and the lady made me feel like it would be taken care of and I should get out of the way and not worry about it, and she started ignoring me and speaking to other customers. Three weeks later and my partner has still been charged $800 by this place and has to dispute it with his bank now to try and get his money back they never refunded anything.UPDATE: Just wanted to note that they did end up refunding the money (...after I wrote this review), but I still felt ignored and like an inconvenience after I was expecting to pay $300 and was charged $800. They are not scammers but I still feel like if you are expecting to get a $300 service and are charged $800 and have to wait a month to get compensated this could leave some people in a really bad financial situation with overdraft issues on their card.

Massage therapists are devoted and really care about your well-being. I have not felt this relaxed in a long time. Amazing caring staff.

A huge rip off! Do not get any of there packages. There packages are the biggest scam, they shouldn’t even be offering them. Message was okay but there hot tub, sauna, steam room and shower are so ghetto. The sauna wasn’t even hot! Would never recommend this place! Still can’t believe how expensive it was for the quality of place it is. Do not go here for any special/romantic event, find another place! Terrible!

Yowza! I just had one of the best deep tissue massages Ive ever had. Rachel was super personable and very expressive/willing to share her knowledge with me during my visit. I even got some stretching tips and I will be back just for her! The building was clean and I was super comfy the whole time. Very relaxing atmosphere, as well. My legs thank you!!

I couldn’t be more pleased with this spa. Rachel, the massage therapist I had was incredible. I’ve only had a handful of massages in my life so I went in not feeling super comfortable and didn’t know exactly what to expect. But she explained everything and immediately put me at ease. I did the deep tissue massage, she was extremely intuitive and experienced, she pin pointed every problematic area without me having to say anything.I will be returning, five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Im disappointed. We got a couples massage with cupping. My husband LOVED his. Mine was the most superficial deep tissue ever. Then Im told afterwards that she cant/wont do deep tissue like she used to. Um... cool? Considering thats what we paid for. We picked here because it was closer and had openings when our regular didnt. Ill gladly keep driving over an hour to go to our usual lady. I went in and walked out the same. We specifically discussed my back and how tense it was, and how I wanted it deep tissue.I got a a whole body massage after saying I wanted to focus on my back, AND it was NOT deep tissue. She basically did whatever she wanted. Literally said she does everything after I said I wanna focus on my back.

I have been coming to Matrix Spa & Massage for about 5 years now and can always get in quickly. I made an appointment yesterday because I woke up with an extremely sore neck from sleeping wrong which resulted in a massive migraine (that I often suffer from) and I left feeling clear headed and amazing! Frederick Salt provided one of the best massages I have ever received. He took the time to listen to my needs and put real attention and care into his practice. He has a ton of experience in massage therapy and I would recommend him to anyone needing a great massage that’s well worth the money.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEYI’m so disappointed with my experience at this spa. I’m honestly surprised at the amount of good reviews. I spent a lot of time reading reviews before booking, trying to find the best place for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary. I made a mistake choosing this one!I scheduled a couples massage through their online booking. I got an email back within a few hours saying the appt was booked for a different time and a different type of massage than I requested. So I had to call & get it fixed.Then the night before our appt, at 2AM I got a text saying one of their therapists called in sick & we needed to come at a different time. I completely understand that people get sick! However, that time conflicted with our dinner reservation. So after many hours, texts back & forth, and rearranging of our plans and other reservations, we finally worked out a time to come in.Up to this point, I wasn’t upset or bothered. I understand things come up & I felt the person I was speaking with was trying her best to make things work! But once we got to the spa, it was downhill from there.We felt rushed from the moment we arrived to the moment we were ushered out the door. It was far from relaxing. There lacked a lot of simple details that make a spa experience. There was no robe to change into or locker room to place our things. We were not offered any water (let alone other refreshments) before or after the massage. There was no relaxing “waiting room” for before/after the massage. The massage itself was sub par. Really nothing great to say about it. I’m glad I asked to upgrade to hot stones because I was cold the entire time. The only positive thing I can say is that she did spend a few extra minutes on my problem area.To summarize, the booking was not smooth. The spa experience/ambiance was non-existent. The massage was nothing to write home about. We felt so rushed. We went in excited & hopeful and left feeling extremely disappointed. All this for $250. (Including a 3.5% fee for using a card that I only found out about after getting my receipt)I’m truly sad we spent the time & money to celebrate our anniversary here. I took the time to write this review to hopefully deter others from experiencing the same disappointment.

Edit: 09/02 better experience this time due to Rachel who was my therapist. Highly would recommend her services. As for the scheduling I went through the online booking again and actually got a response back within 10 minutes confirming my appointment. I spoke with julieta before my left and she listened intently and with care as I explained my frustration and validated me through the short conversation. I can say that I will continue to come here and getting great care from their massage therapist.Previous post:I have been coming to this spa for massages one and off for a few years now. I have always had a pretty good experience however today was not that case. I had set an online appointment before they opened which showed in their website and schedule to be available. I recieved confirmation that I would be texted to confirm, well 45 minutes after they opened I had still not gotten a confirmation so I went in at the time I scheduled which was 1015, I was told by the masseuse at the computer desk that my appointment was not confirmed, I then said you guys open at 9 it is now 10 a.m. why was I not updated with confirmation if my appointment was accepted or not. I was told we must have been busy. And basically that since it was not cinfirmed then I should have known. They offered to schedule me for 4 p.m tonight which does not work. I left and as I was walking out the door I then recieved the text saying my appointment request was not accepted. Each time I come I spend well over 120 dollars plus tip for one massage and I do it gladly, this lack of care from the staff or even acknowledgeing the frustration makes it to where I have to consider coming back again. In the end massages are good customer service not so, i would not recommend.

Richard H. is amazing - I’ve been going to him consistently for years now, and he’s officially the best. I love that his massages are very dynamic. He uses multiple methods to understand your body as opposed to just finding a spot and sticking to it. All staff are so professional and friendly, and each experience is so relaxing.

I came to this place and had the Ultimate spa experience about 5 years ago and it was amazing. So I decided to buy it for myself again for my birthday and it was a terrible experience. The massage therapist was very nice but didnt seem to be very knowledgeable, he put pure lemon essential oil on my face and it burned my skin and now I have a rash 😞 then the hydro part of the package they take you to this room that is super cluttered and not very relaxing and the snacks are like that cheap Halloween candy type stuff. Its not what you expect when you are paying over 300 hundred dollars. I was supposed to get a facial next so he told me to enjoy the room for 90 minutes and someone would come grab me. I tried all the sauns etc and 2 hours go by and I dont hear from anyone. So I wonder around looking for people and finally find someone and they are the people who are supposed to be doing my facial and dont seem to know whats going on so they leave to go check. I honestly lost my patience and left. I dont expect to pay that much money and have that kind of experience...

I have been here multiple times over the years, and it is very hit and miss depending on the masseuse you get (as with most massage establishments!) However, today I am reviewing the Diamond Package as I feel those investing in it could benefit from some feedback. It was $625 (after we tipped, $525 for the package) and included (2) 90-min massages, (2) 30-min facials, (2) foot & hand mask, (2) hydrotherapy circuit, and (2) sitting room/light refreshments. I will review them in that order. Upon arrival I was thinking they would give us some information on the whole process and the timing, but that didnt happen. It was fine, just a little strange based on my past spa experiences. The massages were very different experiences, my partner had a great therapist and really enjoyed his massage. Said it was awesome. My therapist must have been the one reviewed previously where the individual just had a bunch of oil rubbed on them lightly and wiped off with a towel, over and over. There was very little focus on actually massaging my muscles (even though I requested medium to deep pressure) and a large majority of the massage was pulling back on my hair and holding it for awhile. At least 35% of the massage was on my hair/scalp and feet.. and little to no focus on massaging the rest of my body. The time that was spent massaging my body was hardly any pressure and a lot of wiping with a wet towel. As I have had many, many massages.. I typically would stop and say something about it. However, it was a couples massage and I didnt want to interrupt the experience of my partners massage so I dealt with it. Unfortunately I didnt feel like I had gotten a massage immediately after it was over. The facials were probably the best part, they were relaxing and enjoyable. However, just a note that this is not a typical facial most people are used to with a light on the skin, detailed explanation of the process, etc. It was in the dark, and just several different products rubbed on and wiped off. However, it was relaxing and beneficial in my opinion. The foot and hand mask was also done during the facial and it was nice. The hyrdro therapy circuit was something we were looking forward to based on friends referring us to it. However it must have changed and/or gone downhill. There is no longer a hot tub, but there is a steam room/shower, cold plunge, and two saunas. The steam room/shower is awesome. The saunas were not hot, whatsoever. They said that they were on and working.. but they both just felt like a somewhat warm room - not like a sauna. So we were a little disappointed with the circuit. The light refreshments were kind of comical.. only because I had heard from a friend about their awesome experience of a nice sitting area, fresh fruit, etc.. and this was literally some Costco snacks on a tray - fruit snacks, chips/cheetos/etc, not really something that fell in line with the price of the package. It wasnt a big deal since we werent there for the refreshments but it was kind of amusing. All in all I am giving 3 stars because they were courteous and friendly, and one of the massages was awesome. But the cost vs value makes the Diamond package absolutely not worth it, there are other spas in the area with the same pricing and much better facilities.

This place is interesting and my therapist was definitely unique. He only massaged my upper body and told me to breathe into my collar bone and other instructions that I didnt quite know how to follow. My elbow was sore for a day or two after. I do think he was genuinely trying to help, but I would have liked more explanation of what was the rationale behind the movements and instructions. I also would have preferred to have received some work on the legs, but again 60 minutes sometimes isnt enough time I guess. Other members of group liked there experience more and described there massages very positively. The offer to return gratis by the owners in their comments below is a nice sentiment and a testament to how they care for their business. (Unfortunately I was visiting from out of town so cannot do so but again appreciate it)

My sister and I went this weekend for the diamond package. She had Allison and I had Randy as our therapists. This was our first massage/ spa experience and we both are in love with this place! It was so clean, relaxing, comfortable, and it was basically like being worshipped for 3 hours. Everyone was beyond friendly and approachable, it was a beautiful and therapeutic environment to be in. We plan on coming back every couple of months for sister time. We left feeling refreshed and have been recommending Matrix to everyone now.

Honestly, i think all the 5 star reviews here are fake. It was easy to make a reservation, a lady will text you in English.What I received was not a massage at all. I was extensively covered in oil (probably a gallon of it, i am not joking). And all the guy did was rubbed the oil, wiped it off with a hot towel and rubbed it again. And breathed deeply and loudly, while making random chaotic movements. A receptionist lady could have done a better job, as a matter of fact you can massage yourself better.Hated every moment of it.I can go on and on but i am trying not to ruin my vacation.Giving it 2 stars for ease of making a reservation and my husband’s massage experience was better from mine.

Well worth it!My wife and I were needing time to unwind and relax, I bought the Emerald Package, it was well worth the money! The amount of time and detail the staff took us was amazing. We left feeling relaxed and ready to tackle the world again. We are going to be coming back. The spa downstairs was amazing, what a way to finish off the night after a massage. I booked 5 massages for my sisters and I. The staff worked to find a place in their schedule for us and made it such a nice experience. Personally for me, Richard was so phenomenal! He was very professional and talked as much as I wanted but most of the massage I just wanted to relax. He calmly cued me to breath to release the tension of the muscle he was working, giving gentle education. I received the perfect pressure that I requested, which I like a lot of pressure. I would definitely book here again!

I have been going to Matrix for about 4 years now. I really love the massages here and the staff are always very friendly and helpful.I have two therapists that I adore here.Jacqui gives an amazing therapeutic massage. I always leave feeling extremely relaxed, and my muscles feel amazing. I always recommend Jacqui to friends who need help with a specific area of pain or are feeling super stressed out with life. She works magic in her massages. Be prepared though, you may leave her massage so relaxed that you need alternate transportation afterwards!Donna is my other go-to massage therapist. If you enjoy energy work, Donna has an amazing ability to follow your energy. She will literally release chills from head to toe as she works your tight muscles into relaxation. Every massage Ive had with her has been amazing. Donna has the ability to send you away with more positive energy and feeling super relaxed. She also does amazing focused therapeutic massage work to release tight muscles and heal painful areas.I so appreciate these two amazing massage therapists and will continue to see them for as long as I can.Pro-tip: When you book at Matrix, call and request the specific massage therapist that you want. If not, sometimes they will change the therapist. This is one thing I think management could improve upon. But, I do want to say, every time Ive called to complain about the changed therapist, the front office accommodates my request for Jacqui or Donna immediately.

I called one morning to ask about a walk in. The receptionist was kind enough to call in one of the massage therapists who was there within 30 minutes to accommodate me. She did a fantastic job on my tense muscles. She knew when to upgrade me to the expert package because of all the knots I had all over my body. I have since had better pain relief since my massage there and I am looking forward to my next appointment. Definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants a skilled therapist who knows what she is doing.

This was a first time massage for both me and my spouse. We used the Ruby Package so we could enjoy the hydrotherapy circuit. Our therapists were Donna May and Jacqui and they were both amazing! I loved that they explained the whole process and really made us feel comfortable. We would definitely recommend!

My amazing sauna and massage were heavenly! Right from the beginning the atmosphere inside is very calming and inviting. I loved that my therapist greeted me and asked what types of issues or needs I had, so I was sure to get exactly what I needed. Their new sauna is so relaxing and helped me calm down from the chaos of the day and get warm and relaxed for a fabulous massage! The therapist did a great job of making me feel comfortable and checking with me on the amount of pressure etc. I havent ever had a massage this great before! I will definitely be a steady customer and cannot recommend Matrix and their staff highly enough, you should try it out for yourself, you wont regret it!

This was my first visit to Matrix. And I cant wait to go back! Ive already scheduled my next massage.The pricing is excellent. You totally okay for their quality and expertise, without paying any markups Ive seen at other places. What I received was worth every penny and more.Atmosphere is amazing. I felt welcomed and at ease. It was peaceful and serene. Everything was so nice and clean, and the Covid distancing was easy and encouraged. I got a couples massage with my partner. The room was nice and big, and the tables were wider than Im used to at other places.Both therapists were very professional. They listened to my wants and needs. Their instructions were simple and given in a friendly, adult manner. All the things I asked for were given in spades. This is the first time in my whole life a therapist actually respected my wish for soft pressure on my lower back and hips. I cant believe it still. All my covered areas were respected. Rolling over was easy and done with privacy.It feels GREAT. Best massage ever, no doubts. I left feeling so much more relaxed and loose than when I came in. I used to get 3-5 massages a year. But then Covid happened, so I havent had a massage in over a year. The tightness and knots were no joke. But my therapist worked them out and loosened me up like it was nothing. Like I said, my request for different pressures in different places was honored.I couldnt have had a better experience, theres just no way. Five stars? 100 stars!

Absolutely wonderful experience. Weve been to several different massage therapists in Salt Lake, and this place is hands down the best. The experience is unlike anything else or anywhere else. You really feel like youre able to escape from the real world for a few hours. The massage therapist asked several questions before the massage about problem areas and actually listened. It was so nice to have someone that really cares about their work. The steam room is amazing and made a difference for days after the massage. Finishing off the experience in their meditation cave was icing on the cake. Loved everything about Matrix Massage and their staff. Will definitely be going here again!

I booked the Emerald Package as part of my husbands birthday gift, largely due to the numerous positive reviews others have left about Matrix.From the moment we arrived, the staff was professional, prompt and curteous. The massage itself was second to none, and both my husband and I have had many massages in the past. My therapist, David, was able to find and focus on my biggest problem areas quickly without me even telling him where they were. Audrey had my husband so relaxed, that he fell asleep twice and told me its the best massage hes ever had as well.After the massage, we were treated to reflexology and a salt scrub, so it really is a full body pampering.If the massage, reflexology and salt scrub werent enough, you also get 40 minutes to yourself to enjoy the meditation cave and steam room. The perfect way to end a truly delightful experience.You get so much for your money there. Its clean with a relaxing atmosphere and wonderful staff. We cant wait until we can come back again.

Didn’t even get to go in for my couples massage. We were in SLC for the week and wanted a massage. I called and set up a couples massage for Friday and had to get off work early because it was the only time that worked. When we showed up on Friday they TOLD us they only had booked it for a single person. When we got home we saw they our old email was confirmed for a couples massage. Apparently they had given one of our appointments away so now only 1 of us could get a massage. We did reschedule but once we saw this was the case we were extremely upset and wanted to cancel since we didn’t even need to miss our appointment in the first place.I was NEVER told there was an email confirmation by either employees I talked too. When canceling they told me they will still be charging me 25 dollars for “their inconvenience”. The worst customer experience EVER. Do not go here!Also I am expecting they will still to charge me because that seems like the type of company they are. Without a doubt I will dispute it.

My mom and I did the mother and daughter package and overall it was a really awesome experience! The place was under construction but they were able to accommodate our needs, the only downside is I never even knew our massage therapists names and I am kinda bummed about not being able to utilize the hot tub or sauna but I guess that means I’ll just have to come back another time! (:

By far the BEST massage experiences Ive had! The staff is wonderful, the overall feel of the spa is calming and peaceful! Im kind of a clean freak and I absolutely love how comfortable I feel in regards to their cleanliness. I appreciate their attention to everything from music to decor to offering chlotaphyll water. I received the Ultimate Spa Experience as a Christmas gift from my boy friend. He did a lot of research on different spas in Utah and decided Matrix Spa had the best reviews and deals. After my massage, I can agree with all the positive reviews. The package includes a 90 minutes massage, facial, scalp massage, salt body scrub, hot towels, private steam room, aromatherapy, meditation cave and light refreshments. Per their website, this package was $245.00, This was my first full spa experience and I loved it. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The private steam room was the best! I would definitely come back. Wow ! My daughter was in town for a visit and we (Olivia, Ellen , and I) all wanted a massage on the same day/same time. We called Monday morning at 9 and all 3 of us were scheduled at noon that day with 3 different therapists. And all three of us had a great ! experience !!! We were greeted warmly and each therapist came into the waiting area and introduced themselves. The facility was clean, warm, and attractively decorated and not overdone. This was the first time for all of us but it will definitely not be the last, In fact, only 5 days later, Ellen has another appointment !This is a separate review from the one posted above re: my10/11 visit with Sarah. I was treated courteously by all staff, my massage was great! I will be returning Soon !!!! Thanks!!!

Bought the diamond package for the mrs. & I and what a great experience we had. From the moment we walked in they took great care of us and made us feel very relaxed and taken care of. The massage was very deep & my therapist nick really focused on the areas I asked him to and he was very focused on getting the muscles how he wanted before moving on to the next spot. Both her and I loved the body scrub and the steam room with meditation cave really sets things off at the end to finally just settle down and enjoy yourself. Visited Matrix last Friday and had a deep tissue massage by Brian. Not only was the massage excellent, but Brian was very accommodating and concerned with making sure my experience at Matrix was a good one, and the staff is very friendly. They even found me some eye drops as one of my contacts had come out.Brian did an excellent job! I havent had that good of a deep tissue massage in so long. Even though I hurt some the next day, it was more like a good hurt after going to the gym and only lasted a day. Then I felt so much relief in my neck and shoulders. . . it was awesome!

I had a prenatal massage scheduled at 5:45 pm today that I was looking forward to and planned my whole day around. I get a call from them at 4:48 pm saying my appointment had been cancelled. I’m from out of town and fly out in 2 days and doubt I’ll be able to book a massage elsewhere because it’s so last minute.

I had a one hour deep tissue massage with David. It was great. Matrix is a peaceful and clean environment and my massage was just what I needed. The staff were very accommodating on a last minute appointment for me. I would definitely return on my next trip to Salt Lake City.

My husband bought me a gift card for a Deep Tissue Massage for my birthday here at Matrix Spa. It was really nice! They have their own parking lot which is nice in this part of town. The waiting room is very pleasant with complimentary chlorophyll water. The massage it self was very nice in a tranquil room. I would definitely go back.

My husband and I booked a couples massage last weekend at Matrix and it was excellent! Ashley was my massage therapist, and Limhi was my husbands massage therapist. They were both polite, professional, and kind. If at any point any of the massage techniques became uncomfortable or too deep for me, I mentioned it to Ashley and she very quickly adjusted to make sure I was comfortable. She took great care to make sure I was modestly covered with a sheet at all times. A massage is individual and your massage therapist cant read your mind. Communication is key for a great experience. We had an excellent massage and will likely come back again!

This was a fantastic experience for me! Karen was my massage therapist and she really focused on the problem areas I pointed out and was able to work out a lot of the tension in my shoulders. The environment was very calming and relaxing. Karen and Chelsea were incredibly pleasant and fun to talk to. I definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone! Im guessing we caught them on a bad day. My wife and I scheduled a couples massage here for our anniversary. I called the morning of to make sure all was well. When they asked if we could come a little sooner I said sure, thinking maybe they needed us to do paperwork or something. Without informing us, they moved our entire appointment package up 30 minutes. So when we arrived 15 minutes early, we were apparently 30 minutes late on their schedule. We were rushed into the massage room without filling out any paperwork and told that our time would be half an hour shorter than planned because we were late. Their miscommunication messed up our schedule and immediately stressed us out when we arrived. Not a relaxing way to start a massage session. My therapist, Selma, was awesome and did a great job. The two stars are for her. but the whole experience was tainted because we were treated as if it was our fault.There were also no paper towels or anything in the bathroom for hand-washing.. and the light refreshments in our package was literally 5 different types of raisins. ..Raisins??They were nice, and compensated a small discount for their mix-up and poor communication, but I dont think well go back.

I was in serious need of a deep tissue massage so I booked an appointment with Ashley. I showed up a tad early and she took me right back. The waiting area is always welcoming and the massage room is set perfectly for maximum relaxation. Ashley did a great job in making sure to hit all my pain points. She even made sure I was comfortable with the pressure she was using. All in all, one of the best massages I have had in along time. The cost is comparable to what other places are charging, and sometimes with the packages, a bit less. I strongly recommend Matrix for any serious massage lover!

My boyfriend and I visited Matrix for the first time last Thursday and had the most wonderful experience! We scheduled a 60 minute couples massage with Nikolas and Audrey. My boyfriend and I workout quiet frequently and both therapists understand the body extremely well! I havent been this limber in a very long time.We have absolutely no complaints. Matrix is definitely our new favorite massage place in SLC:)

My hubby and I came in for a couples massage but due to a mishap with the room we had to be separated. Other than that we really enjoyed the massages. I had Rachel and she was great. Very informative, friendly, and respectful. It was very clean and a calming atmosphere. Overall 5 stars.

I received a 1HR Swedish Massage from Matrix Spa & Massage and was very impressed. Lynn was my therapist and did an amazing job. She was very professional and made sure she was focusing on the areas that I preferred.The only thing I would recommend is having clients change into robes and relax in a calming environment before getting the massage. As soon as I arrived, they had me get on the massage table instead of giving me a minuet to sit and relax in a soothing atmosphere.

Donna May rocked my world - the best massage Ive gotten in salt lake so far and Ive tried a few different spas at this point. The level of pressure, the intuition, the obvious mastery of her craft - cannot recommend her enough. She is a neck wizard.

If I could give Matrix more than 5 stars, I would. I went in last week for the first time. I had a 1hr deep tissue massage, facial, and salt body scrub. Megan is a miracle worker and my massage was heaven. I had some serious knots in my neck and shoulders, as well as a very sore lower back, when I went to Matrix. I left that day feeling better than I have in months! The entire ambiance at Matrix is relaxing, calming and peaceful. Ill definitely be returning as soon as possible.

Best massage Ive ever had! Did a couples massage and my therapist Zach did an amazing job! Detailed, deep and intense massage just like I wanted. Ambiance was great as well! Parking available on site. Overall we definitely will be coming back and highly recommend!

I loved my experience at Matrix Spa and Massage. I walked in on a cold snowy day and was greeted by the warm and welcoming staff with some nice tea. The spa was lit with candles and it was so cozy and inviting. I had a massage done from Mary and it was wonderful! She listened to my request and followed through. I had some specific needs that she was able to help me with throughout my massage. I would definitely recommend (and have!) Matrix Spa and Massage to my friends and family.

I took my wife to get a couples massage for our anniversary. Zach was the one who did my massage. Although he was new, he did a great job listening to my requests and making adjustments. His technique was great and he really worked the areas well on which I wanted extra work. I highly recommend him for deep tissue massage and reflexology. I had an excellent massage here. Best part is that if you book the massage before 1pm you get a serious discount. The facility was very clean, staff were very friendly, and honestly it was one of the best massages I have ever received. Best yet, I was able to make a same day appointment! I love that the owner was the one who checked me out when I was done. As an emergency doctor who is constantly on my feet, I highly recommend this business!

For my daughters 18th birthday, I took her and her best friend for a spa day. We did the womens deluxe package and had great time. The massages were great and it was just a relaxing time spent together. The massage therapists were very professional. My therapist was Donna May and she was wonderful!

If you are looking for a nice, relaxing spa atmosphere - this is NOT it. It’s old and dirt and decorated in dark colors. Furniture is outdated and feels dirty. My kids said “I hope they wash the towels”. That is the feel you get there. We did the hydrotherapy and massage special. The hydrotherapy is a complete joke. A two person sauna that you could use in your home. A outdated, dirty steam room and a Luke warm 3-person hot tub. I don’t think they understand the concept behind a circuit. Basically I paid 135/person for a mediocre 60 minute massage. Tea water wasn’t even warm and they were 15 minutes behind schedule and our massage got cut a bit short. I sent in feedback as they promise customer satisfaction and I received zero response. Save your money. Go somewhere else!

I have finally found the best place to get a massage and so much more! I have been to several massage placed throughout the valley and THIS IS THE PLACE! If you want to be treated with respect and by professionals, look no further! My friend and I had our first session with the Couples Diamond Package. Josh and Lemmy were our massage therapists. Oh my! Best massage I have had ever! Josh really knows what hes doing! And according to my friend, Lemmy is also amazing! I have been back 2 more times and I will continue to return! Prices are very reasonable, especially because you feel so DAMN great after! They really pamper you. Cant say enough good things about this place!

Got the best massage Ive had in a long time from Richard. He was really good at making me breath into the tight spots which allowed them to release. He was really knowledgeable and had my posture looking better than it has in ages! Highly recommend! Will be back next time Im in town!

I happened to be in Slc area for the day and decided I needed a massage. I booked the 90 minute deep tissue massage and they got me booked in with less than a 45 minute notice to my surprise! There was nice calming music and the receptionist was very friendly. Jacque my therapist was very knowledgeable and professional in her work. She asked about the problematic areas and made sure to put some extra effort into them. That was the best massage I have ever received, you just can’t put a price on the pain relief I experienced I will most certainly be back!

Audrey is hands-down the best massage therapist I have EVER visited (and Ive been to my fair share in all the states Ive lived). She does deep tissue work like no other and remains strong throughout the entire massage. Just recently I visited her for 90 minutes instead of 60, and she was powerful and precise throughout the entire experience. I love the techniques and coconut oil she uses in her practice. Her bedside manner is fabulous and shes a gem!

It was my first time and I had specifically requested someone (referral from friend) and ended up getting another masseuse (apparently due to an error in booking). The person I received was better suited for a regular Swedish massage. He did not seem experienced with deep tissue. I will give this location another try on Friday and hopefully will have a better experience. The facilities are nice, beds comfy etc.

Ashley Sadler Gives the best massages. She is very professional and I felt very comfortable with her. She is very strong and keeps the same pressure throughout the whole massage. She is better than any guy I have ever had. She was very efficient and worked the muscles that were the tightest thoroughly. I will continue to go to Ashley always.Matrix staff is very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is very relaxing and clean. Very professional place. Would recommend this to all my friends and family.

My wife and I got the couples deluxe package. First off, the price was incredible for all the service we were receiving. Both masseurs were very professional and good at what they do! My masseur did a good job at working out my knots--she knew just how much pressure to apply at each spot, without making it too painful. The hot stone massage was amazing!!!! I had never had it before, and now dont want another massage without hot stones.All in all, this place will NOT disappoint. You will get your moneys worth and then some. Perfect for the Salt Lake area.

I had a 60 minute deep tissue massage at the Matrix Spa & Massage for my first visit. I was told to arrive 5 minutes before my massage and ended up sitting in the waiting area for 5-7 minutes AFTER my scheduled time. The chairs in the lobby are uncomfortable to sit in for 10-15 minutes.After being taken upstairs, I was led to my room where I was able to use the restroom if needed and prepare for my massage. The masseuse (Whitney) was friendly and made me feel very comfortable and immediately found a way to connect with me by reading the information card I had filled out in the lobby.The massage itself was wonderful. I have neck, shoulder, and back pain all of the time due to sore and tense muscles, and I felt very relaxed and rejuvenated afterward.I would recommend the Matrix Spa & Massage. The only thing that wasnt great was the wait time and the comfort of the lobby.

After a couple of days of heavy physical activity, we were aching for a massage, and my sister (who lives in SLC and had been to Matrix before) recommended their early-bird special. For $49, we each received an amazing 60-minute massage. My therapist was professional, punctual, and gave me a fantastic massage with just the right amount of pressure. She did fantastic work which included plenty of time on both large and small muscle groups. After skiing and hiking, I appreciated the work on my quads, calves, and arms, in addition to my back and shoulders. My husbands massage was equally good - he came out of the room raving about how great he felt! I would definitely recommend Matrix to anyone for a top-notch, affordable massage.

Matrix Spa provides the best and most relaxing experience Ive ever had with a massage. The staff are friendly, accommodating and exceptionally skilled. They not only make you feel comfortable, they find all of those bad areas and make them good again. Every time I come to SLC, I stop in a Matrix for an amazing experience. Usually, I head over there straight from the airport and leave my suitcase in the lobby. Its that good. Ive told all of my friends and family about Matrix and I hope that theyre able to spend some time there too, someday.

My husband and I went here over the weekend and did the emerald package. It was a belated birthday relaxation day for him and it was much needed. I cant remember the name of his masseuse but she was nice and he liked his massage and my masseuse was Audrey and she was amazing. It was by far the best massage I have had. Im so glad we decided to go with this day spa instead of the others because they would not have lived up to this place. If we could afford it we would drop everything and go again this weekend. And the next. We probably wont get back this year but we will be saving up to do it again as soon as possible. We had such a great time just being able to enjoy each other away from the stress and daily responsibilities outside of the spa. The only downside to this whole place was there was no baths. I know that sounds very trivial- but when I go to a day spa I like to be able to start with a relaxing bath with oils and tea. Maybe a thought for once the management starts renovations in the future! :) All in all this place deserves more than 5 stars. The cleanliness, friendliness, and quality was all great. Definitely loyal customers.

I have had a couple of massages before while on vacation. I wanted to enjoy this luxury in my home city. I got a gift certificate from Clark Planetariums gala that Matrix had generously donated. I booked the appointment and wanted to just go relax. My experience was absolutely perfect! My therapist, Phil, was professional and skilled. He asked me a few questions at the beginning and then didnt try to talk so I could just relax. I plan to become a regular customer. Thanks Matrix!

Whitney was by far the best massage therapist I have ever encountered. She also has a great personality and truly loves her work. Matrix Spa was a miniature slice of heaven during my 3 hour package and I would highly recommend them for any service! I will be going back as soon as possible!

Came here for our anniversary and got the ruby package. It was so great to come and relax! the atmosphere was so inviting and relaxing. The massage was amazing, they really went above and beyond to help me stretch my tight hips. We then had the infrared sauna which was just great to sit in and relax. Having the light refreshments was a nice treat too! We absolutely loved this place and are excited that its only a couple blocks away from us!Edit: came here a second time and we got totally hustled that the tip we were leaving wasn’t big enough (it was plenty big enough) and the manager or whoever it was at the front desk, looked at us with absolute disgust and then just ignored us and asked us to just leave. Won’t be going back ever.

Matrix is simply the best in Utah not only for Massages. It is more then that. The experience you will receive is one of a kind!I have had injuries and am probably the hardest customer to work on. Just ask... I have had a few therapists there and they were all good. Limhi is the best for the hard structural work that I need. He is one of the best I have ever had! He really cares and is great at getting the work that I need done when I come in.I recommend the Expertise Massage.The sauna and steam rooms just make the experience that much better. My wife and I booked the Diamond Package at Matrix, from previous reviews I thought it was going to be around a 90 minute massage, and then quick secession of the other services. This was not the case at all. Both Massage Therapists took their time with each service and my wife and I were thoroughly impressed with care we were given. We will definitely be returning to Matrix!

I had a back massage, foot reflexology and foot detox, all were excellent. It felt so great that I have scheduled another appointment for next week. The foot detox was very interesting and seemed to do its job. It has been a week and I feel better, more energy.I also had the ladies package, where we used the steam room and that was great and very relaxing. My gal pal and I spent a few hours there for this package came out like brand new.

Ive had two really great and one not-so-great massage experiences here. I suppose it depends on who your therapist is, but my one negative experience involved an appointment that went under the allotted (when I pay for 60 minutes, thats what I want!). That seems like the kind of thing that would be standardized in the entire business, not just at the therapist level. Regardless, the majority of my experiences here have been good, and with easy online scheduling.

This is the worst place ever. I booked an appointment for a 90-minute couples massage, and they put the wrong time so when I got there, they told me they would get me in asap. In the meantime, we waited another 20 minutes and just ended up canceling because no one there knew what was going on. Thanks for ruining our Anniversary. Will never recommend this place.

This is one of the more expensive places in town, but my goodness are they worth it. Ive worked with three different therapists, and each one has been exceptionally good in their own way. You can get a reasonably good massage for about $50 cheaper a few other places around town, but youre rolling the dice. Here you can be pretty much guaranteed a memorable experience.

I love Matrix Spa. I love the ambiance of the spa and it has a very hole-in-the-wall feel which makes me feel more at home and less like a doctors office. I have always felt comfortable there. The massages have been fantastic, I usually go to Jacqueline. Would highly recommend this spa. Also, I feel that their prices are very competitive and reasonable.

Great atmosphere, professional staff, and amazing massages. Got the foot reflexology which was fantastic and came back for the Thai massage. I live in the San Francisco bay area where Thai massage is very prevalent, and hands down the therapist at Matrix does a much better job. Walked in feeling like a knotted up pretzel, and left feeling completely realigned and relaxed. Highly recommend!

Today I had my first ever massage at Matrix & I will definitely be coming back. Jared did a fabulous job! He was very attentive and even gave me some tips to help with migraines that I frequently get. The atmosphere at Matrix is calm and soothing. The minute you walk in, you just start to relax. As an athlete my muscles are usually tight and a good quality massage is important. This was the best massage I have ever gotten! My therapist was Limhi Gomez and he was incredible. My husband and I did a couples massage package and it was definitely worth the money. I’ll be back to see the therapist on a regular basis.

I bought a gift card for Valentine’s Day for my boyfriend and I to do a couples massage. We just cashed that gift certificate in this past weekend.While the massage was great and the therapists did awesome, we did not get the full 90 minutes that we paid for. Our appointment started at 1:45, so it was probably 1:55-2:00pm or so by the time we situated on the tables and started our massage, and they stopped at 3:05. This was only 65-70 minutes, not the 90 we paid for.We appreciated the massage, but weren’t happy to be shorted that time that we paid for. We were already back in the car on the way home by the time 90 minutes rolled around. It just left a sour taste in our mouths after something we had been looking forward to for a couple months.

I just had a 90 min massage from Jacqui she was very professional and the massage great! I am a massage therapist and it nice to get a massage from someone who knows what they are doing, wonderful massage! She worked the areas I needed most. Matrix spa has great vibes a awesome atmosphere. Love the dim lighting in the massage room.

My girlfriend and I went in for a couples massage last weekend, and we both enjoyed it very much. Everyone was helpful and pleasant, our masseuses took time to make us comfortable throughout, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. I highly recommend Matrix as a place to get away and relax.

My husband and I went there this weekend and purchased the Diamond Package for couples. While the massage was good, the facilities were not quite up to my expectations. During our massage we could hear people walking and talking right outside the window to our room which took away from the experience. After our services we were instructed to get dressed in a tiny bathroom which was awkward and there was no where to set our clothes but in the sink or on the toilet. Again the massage was good but when you pay $400 for treatments you expect the whole experience to be relaxing and soothing.

We come here often and have never been disappointed. They always treat us so well, and the energy there is very peaceful and welcoming. Thank you for providing the space for healing.

I received a gift card for a massage, which is what brought me in to this spa. My therapist, Fatima, was amazing and did a wonderful job. I have had many massages and have lots to compare this massage to and she is one of the best. I will definitely come in again for more massages. The price is very reasonable as well.

I spent a Saturday afternoon here with massage therapist Ashley. I had a 90-minute full body massage (amazing), foot mask, mini facial and full body scrub (amazing). After my treatments I had 20 minutes in the steam shower (amazing) and 20 minutes in a meditation room with refreshments. I felt as though I had the entire establishment to myself aside from the staff. Everything was clean, the staff was professional and it was a quiet location despite being in a busy area. Me and My husband came in for the Ruby Date Package. Both of us were more than pleased with our very much needed hour massage, infrared sauna time, and snacks and meditation time. Just the rest and relaxation we needed on a Sunday afternoon. Yes! Sunday!!! So nice to have a spa open on Sunday to accommodate mine and my husbands schedules. We are already planning our next visit.

I had a wonderful experience with this spa and my therapist, Sarah. I must sleep in an odd position periodically, because sometimes I wake up with the most unbearable muscle spasm in my neck and upper back. Usually I just let it heal itself, but that means a week or more of fairly intense discomfort and limited motion in my neck. This time, I decided a deep tissue massage might help the recovery process. Matrix was able to fit me in the same day I called, and my therapist, Sarah, did a WONDERFUL job. She clearly knows what shes doing, and within 2 days I had full range of motion in my neck and almost no pain. Im looking forward to booking my follow up appointment!4 stars only because I wish they would do some maintenance on their location and some cosmetic upgrades - it looks a little run down for the caliber of services they offer. Perhaps they cant due to their lease agreement with the building. Either way, it shouldnt stop you from giving this place a try!

My husband and I did a 100 mile bike ride, and were in desperate need of a massage. They got me in the next morning, and it was wonderful!! It was the first time that my husband had had a deep tissue massage, and he loved it. It really helped work out the pain. The person that worked on me, was great. He made sure that the pressure was exactly how I liked it. (Im a little sensitive) I will definitely be going back!!

My massage was AMAZING!!!! Karen is a very professional and skilled therapist. I am 40 weeks pregnant today and my entire body is swollen - especially my feet. The pregnancy massage helped reduce all the pressure in my feet. I have not felt this good in months. I called around 6 PM and they had me come in at 7 PM. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will defiantly be going back. I highly recommend Matrix!

I booked a very last minute massage with Kristin and she was FANTASTIC! She is very intuitive and really understood what my body needed. Ive been having pain in my back/shoulders and even into my arms and she explained how everything is intertwined and connected. Her deep tissue was one of the best Ive ever had and she is SUPER strong! I cant wait to go back!

I booked a massage there because of severe low back pain. The therapist was over an hour late no joke. I had to sit around waiting causing more pain. I usually would have just left, but really needed to get one. Then to top it off horrible massage. I asked for more pressure and she said she couldn’t she’s not a big person...lol what!!! She worked the side that didn’t even hurt. I left there and had to schedule another massage at a different place. What a joke. Don’t waste your time or money..

My husband and I have been there twice for couples massages. We always receive great massage work and they are very respectful. However, this last time 2 weeks ago, we booked the couples massage and they ended up charging my husband $15 more than the advertised price of $95 per person! That was very disappointing.

I went for a 60 minute Swedish massage with Sariah and she not only listened to all of my preferences and concerns but went beyond that to make sure my experience was professional and great. The atmosphere was extremely peaceful and relaxing. It did not feel rushed or uncomfortable. The table warmer and warm towels were awesome. I will definitely be going back!

Nikolas gives the best massage Ive ever gotten. So gentle and so deep all at the same time. His communication and care is awesome. You can really tell he wants to take care of you. I also usually dont see male therapists but he is just the bomb! Also the whole atmosphere of the spa is amazing.

I was just there this morning and currently am having issues with my kidney and my therapist Limhi did an incredible job at making me feel more relaxed and in less pain. And their early birds are a great time to go if you need to just relax in the middle of the day.

I was in Salt Lake City due to a work convention at the nearby Salt Palace, and really needed to de-stress after 3 days of being on my feet and feeling tense all throughout my upper body. We happened to just google nearby massage parlors/spas and Matrix was the only location that could accommodate 3 appointments for my colleagues and I.Would never tell that was a sanctuary from the outside, but feel in love from the moment we walked in. We were greeted in their super tranquil lobby with soothing smells of incenses and oils and drinks of chlorophyll water. Receptionist was super nice and welcoming and loved that we were individually greeted by our massage therapists upon arrival. I only had a 30 minute back and body session, but regret not making it an hour! Im from the NYC/NJ area and I have not found a massage therapist as skilled as the young lady that worked on me. She was professional and knowledgeable (was also told that all staff was licensed). Loved the pre-massage consult on key areas Id like worked on and loved the post-session feedback from my therapist around suggestions to work through problem areas while at home.If Im ever in Salt Lake again, Ill def be back! Highly recommend Matrix!

My husband and I just visited Matrixx for the second time for a couples massage, and it was wonderful. Again. This time, our massage therapists were Brian Mitchell and Allison Mitchell. We both felt amazing afterward, and will be making regular visits. We especially love how, when you step in, you feel like youve transported to a different, far more peaceful place. We love Matrixx and will be back soon.

Not very clean and the massage therapist was really unfriendly and seemed totally bored or like she was going through the motions. My massage felt like a kid was pouring baby oil all over me and just pushing it around for an hour. The facial products seemed very cheap and the steam shower has mold and is just not finished very well. Its the kind of place youd expect to find in Tijuana Mexico. I would not recommend this place and wish Id paid $50 more to go to Kura door or some place nicer as this was a birthday gift and felt like nothing special.

I recently went for the first time to Matrix Spa & Massage in Salt Lake City,UT and had Whitney Bartinshaw as my masseuse. Even though I have been going for massages for over ten years, never have I had a better massage than her massage last Monday October 5.She is a gem of a person and her outstanding massage was greatly admired. My wife and I are planning to come back again in the next few weeks after our family visits to Boston and San Francisco.

Donna May was excellent and very professional. Very experienced LMT. This was my first time receiving a massage here in Salt Lake City, this was a gift from girlfriend. And I would have to say the massage was top notch! It helped the muscle tension in my back and arms I had been experiencing the last few weeks. Donna was able to provide a great massage and helped reduce the muscle tension and spasms I was having. Its been a few days since the massage and I am feeling fabulous! My first visit to Matrixx Massage and it was awesome! Whitney does a great job of alternating light & deep work when needed. Very intuitive! The spa as a whole is amazing quiet for its downtown location. I would definitely recommend it to everyone and have already booked my next appointment.

This spa ruined our early Valentine’s Day and anniversary. Definitely recommend going somewhere else. One of the therapists didn’t show up. Employees didn’t inform us until 30 min later (when we had to ask) that they still hadn’t ever heard from the missing therapist. No toilet paper in one bathroom. Toilet paper in other bathroom just sitting on shelf. Hand towels old and with bleach marks. Everything felt dirty and unprofessional which is obviously the opposite of the spa experience we were looking for.

I have been here twice now, both for sports massages after pulling muscles in MTB wrecks. They have a lot of therapists so you can usually get in within a day which is awesome when you are looking to deal with an accute injury. I had a different therapist each time. Both seem knowledgeable and gave recommendations for working the muscles to keep them loose as they healed. Both rooms were nice and relaxing. One of these days I would really like to try a relaxing massage but I seem to only ever go when Im in pain and have very specific goals.

I returned to Matrix after a fabulous first experience with David who is no longer there. My second visit was better than I could have imagined. I had a massage from Limhi who gave me the massage I didn’t know I needed till I got there. His intuition, knowledge, technique and different tools all added up to a really great massage.

Matrix is unlike any other spa Ive been to. One of the best deep tissue massages, hands down. Everything was clean, ambiance was awesome, and the staff was professional and knowledgeable. It was just an all around great experience, and I will definitely be back!

Ive been dying to get a massage because my back and shoulders have been killing me. Found Matrix Massage online with a lot of good reviews so decided to give it a try. Upon arriving front desk was very courteous. My massage therapist was nice. The only complaint I have is I wished the areas that I asked for was more focused on. I felt like I paid for an hour massage for both of my arms and hands which was not really needed. It was nice and relaxing, but my problem areas didnt get worked on much.

My wife and I have been going to Matrix Spa and Massage for the last few years for Swedish massages and love it. Ive gone to other places and they dont stack up to Matrix. The Massage Therapists are always great, the atmosphere is so relaxing and they always make me feel comfortable. I would highly recommend them.

I got a Swedish massage from Kassie on 11/19. I hadnt had a massage for several years so I was a little nervous going in. Kassie made me feel very comfortable and relaxed, and it was such a great experience. I felt so peaceful afterward and the tension in my back was gone. She did a terrific job and I will definitely be back.

Went here years ago for a massage. It was good. Booked a surprise for my fiance, EXPLICITY REQUESTED A FEMALE. instead of honoring what they told me, that she’d have a woman FOR SURE. They swapped people last second with no notice. I bought a deluxe package, one of the most expensive and this service was terrible. Even spoke with the owner and she was very rude and denied any responsibility for altering THE AGREED UPON AND PAID FOR AMOUNT. Never going back.

I scheduled a 60 min deep tissue massage in the middle of a weekday. I was welcomed when I walked in by very friendly staff. I only waited 1 min before my masseuse came to get me for my massage. Jacqui did a wonderful job. I would recommend Matrix Spa & Massage and Jacqui to anyone.

I am actually here at the Spa now.We came for a couples foot massage and detox.My wife’s therapist is amazing! Donna May.Unfortunately my therapist did any ask and isn’t listening to a word I am saying. I asked over 6 times for him to increase the pressure. He said, “I like to do pressure points.” Which would have been fine is there was actually ANY pressure. Felt like a 2 year old was touching my feet.It didn’t help that Donna May was using oil and really massaging my wife’s feet.I asked if he could do what she was doing. Again, instead of asking me what “I” wanted he repeated that he has his method.I continued to ask for much more pressure and then he said, “I don’t want to hurt myself. This is as comfortable as I am willing to go.”At that point I said, “Well let’s just stop then, because I do NOT want you to hurt yourself.”I’m sitting here so very disappointed and so very jealous of the treatment my wife is receiving.I think this Spa in general is probably really good.Make sure to be very specific when asking for a therapist.We originally had just the detox booked. The receptionist helping my wife said they were having a special on a foot massage before the detox.We’ll see if they plan on charging me for the foot massage... I can’t imagine they will given my experience.

This place is wonderful! I had some really bad lower back pain from weightlifting and after my deep tissue massage session, my back muscles finally loosened up. They even gave me useful tips to improve my recovery time outside of the massage. That is good customer service. I first came to Matrix looking for back pain relief due to a traffic accident. I had PAINFUL back spasm that left me unable to move. I have been going to Matrix for a bit over 6 months now and the spasm are gone. I feel better and I am feeling better with time. I have sent my husband for the Swedish massage special and he came home a very happy, pampered and relaxed man. My son is always trying out a new sport, the latest was Rugby, and so I sent him to Matrix for a sports massage and he LOVED IT. Apparently there was this knot on his back that he had already received therapy on but was still there. The specialist at Matrix took it out. My son was super happy and relieved!!!I am still in therapy due to my accident, but I still go on my own time and money, and have a massage whenever I start feeling my back tighten up. How did I ever live without Matrix, I dont know!? But I sure cant live without them now!Best part: The Owner, The Office Manager and The Professionals at Matrix - YOU CANNOT FIND BETTER PEOPLE! I am not going anywhere else, EVER!!!!

Went in for my first Prenatal Massage, I was a little nervous at first due to it being my first but Sarah was extremely helpful and comforting! I had no trouble relaxing, I wish I could of stayed longer!! I would definitely recommend her!! She is great!

A good massage experience overall. I had a one hour couples deep tissue massage with my husband. The massage therapist was responsive to requests for more or less pressure. Relaxing atmosphere. I would have liked a little more attention to my problem areas. I felt that the last massage I had here with a therapist who is no longer working there was wonderful and the therapist was very in tune to my body and what I needed. Although it was still good this time, there were times I felt like the therapist was too rushed or clumsy (when applying massage oil and replacing my arms under the sheet, etc.

Very inviting and unique atmosphere. Most importantly my therapist Paul actually listened to my condition and where I would like the focus on my session. He was very thorough and checked in on pressure and such, but not too much that is was not relaxing. Thank you for two wonderful sessions! I had a fabulous time with my massage! I went in because I was having headaches that were troubling me, I told my massage therapist about them, and she knew exactly what to do. She focused on some pressure points on m neck and top of my shoulders. Since going in I havent had a single headache! It is a miracle. I would definitely recommend this place, and I plan on going here again in the next few weeks.

One day I had a terrible massage on my anniversary and when I emailed the spa they took care of me with a make up massage. The second massage was with Troy and it was absolutely amazing. He listened to everything I asked of him and was one of the best massages I have had in a long time. Troy and Julieta (the owner) are the reasons I will be back!

Ive been having massages from the owner over 19 yrs. She has an awesome story coming from Mexico working to build her own business. Shes an extremely hard worker to have the business she has. She gives her all to me after all these yrs. She personally trains her staff once they come to work for her. No matter what few who put her business down for any reason, its probably a lie! She use to work 7 days a week! I had a horrible accident 59 yrs ago & broke all my bones in my body except arms & legs. Shes been the one who has gotten me thought the worse of times when I was in so much pain. Ive moved 10 yrs ago & havent found anyone like her. I come back through the summer & if shes available, she works on me! The spa is really nice before a massage to loosen my muscles! I wish her success for the rest of her life! Luv u, Julietta

We got the emerald package. I cant figure out how the reviews are so stellar. Dont get me wrong, there was nothing really wrong with it, it was exactly what I expected looking at the website, but I didnt think it lived up to the Google reviews. We were looking to splurge and have a relaxing/romantic night out, so based on the reviews, we tried something new and booked here. This isnt, in my opinion, the place for a date night/getaway. The services were ok, but the facility left something to be desired. The treatment room was ok, kind of dated but clean enough. The restrooms were small and very ordinary. The relaxation room and sauna were disappointing, very small and cheap feeling. I feel like if you find a therapist you like (my massage was underwhelming, but my wife said hers was good), this would be a good place for a massage, but it wasnt what I have in my head as a relaxing spa setting. Staff was all very friendly.

Paid premium pricing for below average service: a) massage went 10 minutes short b) didnt work all of the areas that we asked c) enhancements is a bunch of barely performed gimmicks d) while beds were heated, room itself was cold. There was no one else there, and we were on time, yet attention received was not as expected.Massage itself was ok, but definitely not extraordinary.Go elsewhere.

Danielle gave me the best massage I have received in a very long time. She paid attention to my problem areas and I left feeling tons better. Great atmosphere and the wife and I enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Im seriously so stoked about my massage at Matrix! I had Whitney and she was seriously the best. It was hands down the best massage ive ever had. I feel like she just really understood the way the human body works and how muscles form. She was particularly gentle in certain areas (I was recently in a mountain biking accident) and still applied more than enough pressure where I wanted it. She even gave me tips for my healing process. I cant stop raving about that massage or Whitney.

My massage therapist was very strong and displayed this through amazing techniques on my feet and legs. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing and the staff was very nice and thoughtful. Ive been to plenty of professional massage places and this way by far in my top three. You can tell the LMTs take their jobs seriously and uphold their reputation at the Matrix Spa.

This was such a wonderful experience. We did the couples massage Emerald Package. My boyfriend said the experience has helped his back and eased a lot of pain from our drive. If I ever find myself in Salt Lake City again I definitely will be coming here.

I used to like coming here. However, I’ve had four bad experiences. The first one was I requested a female massage therapist and I showed up and I got a male therapist. I did decide to go through with the massage but regretted it. They also shared my personal information with somebody that didn’t have the right to know it. Also, their gift certificates are in paper form, expire in 3 months, and if you accidentally misplace it they keep no record of the gift certificates they give out. It was my fault for misplacing it, however, I was surprised they don’t keep a log of some sort when they’re in paper form. Then today I scheduled an appointment, confirmed that it was with a female and I showed up and it wasn’t a female. I walked out. I’m sorry to the therapist, I know it’s not their fault.

This was my first experience with a prenatal massage, and it did not disappoint. Josh was very professional and accommodating and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire massage. I haven’t felt this relaxed in weeks - just what I needed!

RUINED MY WEEKEND WITH MY MOM. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. MORE STRESS THAN RELAXATIONI booked a $400 mother daughter package about two weeks ago on their online booking service. Since I haven’t heard back I called and was told it didn’t go through because my credit card wasn’t on file, there was no data field for my credit card on the website.Few days later they call me to ask if they can move my appointment to a different time that day, it was not an option so I moved it to the next day and made the appropriate changes in my schedule to fit their schedule.Today was the day of our appointment and 2 HOURS BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT I get a call to let me know someone called sick and they couldn’t accommodate the appointment anymore and asked to move it AGAIN. Alas my mom leaves tomorrow. And frankly I have no faith in their ability to hold an appointment at this time.No offers, no discounts offered, no accommodations. They asked me to be understanding without considering my own frustration and disappointment.I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS THERE EVER. This is the worst interaction I had with any spa anywhere. What a waste of energy and time.

Lynn is the master of massage. The room set up, temp and lighting were perfect. Lynn was quiet, and only talked when giving instruction or asking me my preferences. She applied the perfect pressure. This was the best massage I have ever had. I will be returning!

I went in for the early bird special and Josh gave me one of the best massages Ive ever had in my life. It was perfect. This wasnt my first visit, but it was definitely the best visit that Ive had at Matrixx. One thing I love about Matrixx is they always start right on time and its a very clean nice place.

My family had flown in from New York to see my son in the burn unit at the University of Utah, and we need a break so we found your place for a massage. And I can say that your staff was very compassionate to our family. We all enjoyed the massages and felt great afterwards .after my family left I have been back for a massage and its been a treat . I wasnt impressed with my experience. My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary to get a couples massage and got some package that included the massages, steam room and meditation room with stuff to nibble on.I walked in and had to wait for someone to greet us for almost 15 minutes, its was freezing in the entryway. We were then told to dress and be seated while our massage therapists were finishing with other folks. Fine by me, a little R&R never hurt anyone.The massages I must say were exceptional. We went into the Steam room which was also very nice, but then we get out and go over to the Meditation room... Which typically would have been wonderful, if it werent so cold! It was uncomfortably freezing in there. We then decided to nibble on the little tray they had out for us. It was complete with soggy grapes and a few cubes of cheese that seems to have been sitting out for a while and a handful of pistachios.When I had called that day to make sure everything was set up for our romantic rendezvous, they said they were making a trip to the store to get the goodies. I found that to be a lie.When I pay as much as I did, I do expect things to go a little smoother and for it to be an all around good experience. Im sorry to say that it wasnt. I will not be returning.

First time to get a massage therapy ever and I am SO HAPPY that goggle gave me Matrix Spa & Massage as my first choice. I do not know how to put into words how my experience was, but I will try.Matrix Spa & Massage David in particular gave me the details of how my first ever massage would be a good experience, he was patient, kind and completely professional. Had he not spent the time to go over the process I honestly dont think I would have had the most AMAZING MASSAGE I could have hoped for. He was what I needed in my life at that very moment. I wish I could treat everyone in my life to a Matrix Spa & Massage treatment.As for the experience in a whole, the atmosphere in and out of the room is totally spot on the minute you close the door behind you. I was greeted with all the Love and respect for my needs as if I was walking into a hospital needing help to leave the world outside for a few minutes. The ambience was so relaxing and enjoyable. The décor BEAUTIFUL and even the people I interacted with were beautiful spirits.I am feeling like a person who has had the most important experience in her life for a very long time. I will be experiencing this again next Thursday then monthly for the REST OF MY LIFE.I needed Matrix Spa & Massage today and I got exactly what I came for. I have NOT felt this good physically in like forever, seriously I am not kidding.You will LOVE Matrix Spa & Massage.JUST GO and you will be posting the same type of message.
