This is a great place to get some sweet retro pictures taken of you and your friends. The different decorations and sets and such make it so easy to get a great picture especially if youre from the 80s and 90s.Well thought out and very approachable and most of the arcades are free play. Unfortunately, most of the arcades dont work correctly and youll have to do with joysticks that dont go left, stuck buttons, buttons that dont work, etc.... If youre a hardcore gamer and serious about your game, youll have to go elsewhere because I dont think the machines are given maintenance.Yes, they have two pinball machines but only one works and if you want to play its $1 which is fair but again, theres only 1.Drinks are reasonably priced, cocktails are $13 which is what you usually pay. They have some happy hour deals but they definitely dont give anything away.A fun time if youre in the area just dont expect much from the games and youll enjoy yourself!!
Went on a Tuesday night. It was still a lot of fun and the atmosphere was awesome. The bartenders were dancing and having a good time too. Drinks were good, even had a bartender make me a drink off the menu he recommended, it was so good too. Dont remember his name sadly but he was nice and attentive. Cant wait to go back on a weekend!
So I had the pleasure of finding this amazing place on a trip where I knew nothing. All the staff were wonderful but in particular Angel was the most friendly and made my time at this club the most enjoyable. He made sure I felt safe and comfortable. He gave me recommendations to other places to visit as well as introducing me to other locals so that I could continue to have a great time. If you are ever in San Antonio this nightclub is definitely a place you should visit. From the decor, music, drinks and atmosphere I know I will definitely be returning and will be telling others about it as well
Absolute nightmare of place to celebrate a bday if you don’t have 20% of your bill in tips! I was told to leave after I couldn’t leave more than a $9 tip! As a matter of fact I was terrorized and then kicked out because I asked for my tip back because a big overweight bartender with purple highlights refused to return my tip after she terrorized me over a tip and told me we shouldn’t be going out if we can’t tip at minimum 20 percent. Absolutely the worst place I could’ve chosen to go for my birthday! This bartender literally confronted me over a $9 tip! She had tattoos all over her arm, and she was scary! Watch out if you can’t afford 20% of your bill as a tip because she’s coming after you then she will have you kicked out and lie to security guards or whatever! What a horrible experience just because I couldn’t afford to leave more than a $9 tip. I paid all my drinks so what the heck!!!!!! How messed up!
I went on a Saturday around 11pm ish. It’s a cool bar. The old school games (you have to pay for them) and the neon colors add a nice touch. The drinks are decent about $13. It’s a cool spot but maybe I was there for the wrong 30/40 mins because I didn’t enjoy the music.
What a cute spot! Loved all the colors and the burger was AMAZING! 😍 not too too many places to sit so i would get there early/ with few people/ or grab some drinks only! They have a place for dancing but because of this there is little table space. Super cool spot! Women’s restroom is the entire downstairs, but apparently the men’s restroom is outside and around the corner?
What a great venue and Bar/Club. Ive actually tried getting in before during peek times and had no luck. Fortunately for my family and i, going during the afternoon after 4 on a Sunday worked out well! Theres still a little wait at the bar even though its not super busy so be prepared. Very kind bartenders and staff. Lots to see and do so come ready to enjoy. This might just become a regular Sunday afternoon, early evening frequent stop for us! Next time Id like to try the food!
Amazing venue with great ownership and an extremely novel concept that really differentiates themselves from other establishments downtown. The decor and ambiance is extremely special and something be remembered with multiple rooms and alcoves all in different 80s and 90s themes truly one of a kind.
This bar was not what I expected. I thought it would be fun since its 80s themed, but the atmosphere was not great, the drinks were pricey, and we were bored out of our minds. Not to mention, they make you take your whole ID out of your wallet (even though you already showed it to them) so they can scan it because apparently they dont believe your ID is real, or whatever the case may be, and they even had to scan me from head to toe when I obviously had no pockets on my pants. Like where the heck do you think Im gonna hide a weapon if I dont have pockets, in my a**? Some of the so-called bodyguards took their jobs too seriously and were rude and acted like they were all big and tough just because they had a wand. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Look for another club elsewhere.
Drinks were spot on, didnt order food here, so cannot speak on that. The atmosphere in this bar is neat, its got a funky 80s vibe to it, the menus are in vhs cases, which provided quite the giggle when it came out. The music ties into the theme, adds a very retro vibe. The drinks are great, my buddy ordered the Weird Science, which did not disappoint, served in a mixing beaker served with a dry ice puck to add smoke/bubbles. I had the All my Exes, slight spice from the jalapeños, with a good amount of sweet to it. Most of the drinks are priced reasonably, all things considered, considering there are places in the area that charge the same or more for less. The bartender, Angel, was up to the task of surprise me and did not disappoint with minimal information. A simple whiskey and semi sweet was enough for him to bring out a great drink. The other bartender Erika is equally as knowledgeable about the drinks and was quick with tweaks or suggests to cocktail orders. Staff overall is super friendly and great to have general conversation with. Great place to just hang out and enjoy your time.
The atmosphere was good when we first got there but the bartender ruined the night for us. We did not tip on our first round of drinks. For our second and third round she charged us full price for drinks but did not put alcohol in them. Mind you these were not cheap. If I’m paying $50 for 4 drinks I don’t think it’s wrong to want what I paid for. When we confronted her she said “Well you’re not tipping me!” We spoke with a manager and asked for a refund. He gave us a refund for the last transaction and then told us we would no longer be served and we were escorted out by the bouncer. We will not be returning.
The atmosphere itself was very retro and photogenic. Felt very upbeat and the staff was very welcoming. Bartender Angel did an amazing job with his service and drink choices for me to try. I will be bringing more of my family and friends for sure!
Absolutely the best spot on the Riverwalk. They have karaoke on Mondays and dollar drinks on Tuesdays. Great music, and its always packed with people who are looking to have a good time.I didnt even want to go anywhere else, but i have visited other places in the past.
This bar is such a vibe! When walking in youre immediately hit with nostalgia being greeted by some old school TVs playing movies & such. Theres an arcade room with most machines being free to play. Plenty of rooms with Instagramable decor left & right. The drinks were delightful with & cool twist for the menus. The serve food though I wasnt able to try any. Cant wait to go back for more Vintage nights
LOVED THIS PLACE! Came here with my partner after his birthday dinner and met up with friends and we all had a blast! From the awesome atmosphere, great table service in the private booths, to the great music selection we were all happy! Plus the truffle fries were the perfect snack to keep us at that perfect level! Will definitely be back!
The atmosphere is great but they hardly play 80s music. And on the days you do catch them playing 80s music it’s repetitive top 40. Get better DJs. Have better theme nights. Stick to 80s and 90s vibe that you decorated for. Because the alternative is attracting a dangerous crowd. Could be a great tourist attraction otherwise.
Fun place with great music. I enjoyed how diverse the crowd was, and the DJ did a great job with the selection of music. I would definitely recommend this place.
Didn’t have the food but they did tell me that they will be discontinuing the food. Place was freaking awesome a place where I saw NO one take pictures and so into the dancing! Some of the arcade games are FREE alot of nostalgia.Definitely worth it and coming back again! They do have security walking the floor and they do wand you down to make sure you have nothing!
Be Kind & Rewind is a retro club through and through. The decor, the music with music videos, full-size arcade games, boom box and cassette player wall, the colors, and the wall of video tape movies were all spot on - 1990s baby! Theres even a Selena mural. Lots of nooks to hang out in too. Nothing but good vibes there!
We had such a great time. It was my wifes 40th birthday and they accommodated everything we requested to make it a surprise. We rented the Britney Spears booth, which was awesome, and our server, Brayden (a.k.a. B), never let our drinks run dry. Everything about this place, from the service to security, was top notch. Not to mention how great it was to hear, and dance to, hits from our youth. We will definitely be back!
Retro Club. Definitely worth the visit if youre a tourist in San antonio. Saturday night is usually just a club night but they do have themed nights. Check out their Facebook.
I could be hyper critical, but here’s what I will say. People can make or break an experience. Yes, this place looks incredible. I LOVED the DJ’s set, although some people may have wanted a stricter 80’s/90’s set. I was GOOD with his set. That said, it was Angel and Gerry for me. Angel is the friendliest, most energetic bartender and somehow, REALLY fits the vibe lol. Gerry is a bouncer who takes his job seriously but not so much hat he can’t “Be Kind” to people. They’re both dope and made my night out (dad of two in town for business who NEVER goes out) dope as hell.
Service is great awesome employees, Atmosphere is layed back and chill with occasional upbeat feel, there is old school games which gives the place a great feel in throwback, only thing is drinks are a tad too pricey. I would definitely recommend this venue for musicians and risk jockeys as a great place for gigs, acoustics are nice.
If you like a crowed … and great music, try this place at least once! Cover is $5 eachPricey for watery drinks recommend something you don’t need mixed! Great place for photo shots & selfies !
I was there this past Saturday with family and friends we had lots of fun, the only thing is the mixed drinks are very weak, loved the variety of music videos
Such a good vibe. We went on a Thursday and it was a good crowd without feeling crowded. Buuuuuut we went based off the Instagram profile expecting some cool drink pours. We ended up with basic drinks in plastic cups. Still had a good time dancing because the playlist was great. Id still go back when Im in town.
This place of magic explored the 80s, the 90s, and the 2000s, along with some of the early 2010s and now the 2020s. This place is amazing. I got one drink called the gummy bear and it was a shot, it was delicious. 10/10 recommend.Only thing that I didn’t like about it was the overcrowding. Once this place gets packed, everyone starts stepping on each other, bumping each other, and just being really obnoxious and rude. And when people are moving through, no one says excuse me, they just obnoxiously bump into you. That’s not technically on the establishment, it’s on the people in there who lack basic decency. But, that’s an example of things that happen because it gets too crowded. I definitely think they could regulate that little more. Also, it’s 18+, but there is a seperate area for 21+. I recommend if you’re 21+ to stick to the 21+ side because the under 20 something’s get rowdy.
Elizabeth was super nice and cool! Helpful when I wasnt sure what to order and was awesome to conversate with. Great stop going through the city on a road trip :) It was also steady to walk through with my cane. Bathrooms are down a flight of stairs but overall pretty accessible when its not busy.
Atmosphere here was great, music, video games, decor all was very likable and enjoyable ! Tge service, on the other hand, was not so great, bartender looks at me several times and didnt even acknowledge me? I waited over 20 minutes to get a drink! Work on your customer service and thus place would be fun and exciting
Really fun bar in downtown San Antonio. The service was good. There are plenty of places to sit, a good size dance floor with great music! The drinks are themed and very sweet, but they have a full bar to choose from. There are so many great photo ops. The only negative is that there were no inside restrooms. We had to walk outside and use portable restrooms (which were nicer than your normal porta potties, but still inconvenient.
I went last night for the first time and had a great time! I hardly ever come downtown or stay somewhere longer than 2hrs, but this little gem right here will have me back. 5 hours of great vibes! Bartenders were really friendly, drinks were good, music was great and omg they play the videos to the songs! Lots of selfie/pic opportunities. Really took me back to my childhood lol.
Great place, fun, no VIP, no bottle service, no lines, just fun and dancing. Great bartenders, food was great, the gluten free pizza was very good, affordable prices, no cover, super instagramable, careful, floors get wet and slippery on the dance floor and parking is a bit of a challenge, but this should not keep you from going, too much fun!!
Amazing vibes, drinks are great!Everyone is super chill even though it’s packed there’s still space to walk and take pictures. Their OG arcade machines work perfectly and bring that nostalgia. MUSIC IS ON POINT!My only concern is their tipping system. If you’re not looking their system keeps $5 tip on everything purchase. From the entrance(Charging $10 instead of $5) to anything that’s input in the paying system. That feels scammy! (I’m not tipping on every single $6 drink purchase) So make sure that the amount is correct. For that reason my rating is one⭐️- I’ll try one more time and will be changing my rating if and when this changes.
Great place to be! I had been waiting to come back to this place for a year…..only to find out they don’t sale food anymore. They had the best wings in town!! But the service and atmosphere was electric!!
As a child of the 80s what can I say? This place is amazing. Super Retro and soooooooo many memories. This place is decked out in so much 80s memorabilia that it was hard to focus in just one area. Everywhere you looked, you spotted a different 80s gem that triggered another memory. We met some friends on a Sunday night and apparently it was karaoke night. Not just karaoke night but 80s karaoke. Lets just say it was fun watching/hearing1) Millennials sing some of these classic tunes they were unfamiliar with2) Tipsy GenXers sing songs from their youth3) Someone really familiar with their choice of song and having them sing and act it out (dude, singing Like A Virgin, Im looking at you)Not sure what Im more impressed with, all the memorabilia they managed to collect, their amazing drink menu or their awesome playlist. I know one thing though, this is one of the best bars in SA.Pro tip: Ride share there cause parking is pain
Love the vibe and the music. Old school video games nostalgia level 10. Didnt eat so can say anything about the food but the drinks were plenty
Fun place with a retro feel. Went for drinks and had a great time. Dj was playing good music and the vibe was great.
They suck. Dont take your service dog. Theyll have 2/7 ppl trying to refuse service due to it being a night club. They even have a patioed area with a disrespectful Man whom kicked my mother out after walking her in and allowing her services. One man will try and drag you out. Be kind and rewind. Think about it, before you go. Minus the pictures and beautiful scenery. The 2 ugliest bouncers are the ones thatll corner you just to put there hands on you. I cannot believe I had to have the conversation with the mangers while those two men attempted to put there hands on me. With respect be kind and rewind yall have horrible service and yalls team is not a team.
Ive been here a few times they have a cover charge now. We went Friday night it was almost one and we had to pay the weekend cover charge. Drinks were good
We had a fun and overall pleasant experience here. It was a weeknight and there wasn’t a large crowd which we kind of prefer. (I hear it gets pretty busy on the weekends). Anyway, the whole place has a cool retro vibe. There is a few arcade machines which are free to play. The pinball machines cost a $1. They had a cool Christmas theme going in the main hall and their drink menu, which I thought was fun. The bar staff was all really friendly and they had good security at the door. My only complaint would be that it had the typical bar sticky floors, surfaces / smell in some parts of the bar. The place is definitely worth a visit if you’re downtown.
This spot is the best one yet! Ninah has been the absolute best on making my experience at Bekind and Rewind the most memorable nights I can have with friends. 🫶🏼🍾🤗
It just so chilled and the music is great and the people are awesome. This is my favorite place to go and dance and drink
Born in 1970 and travelled from Austin for this place. Totally worth it!!! Ive been a DJ for over 30 years and these cats killed it. Mad respect! Cant remember when Ive had such a good time and so impressed with the young people who also knew the words to a lot of the songs. My faith in humanity grew a little tonight!!!
Girls night was soo fun here! I expected more variety of music, not sure if we went on an 80’s music night. But my gals and I were still dancing to it! I would say it was more of a 25+ and we are younger than that 😂. They have free games and a different side that plays other music. I would recommend their Piña Colada was soooo good!
Last night finally go to go to this place. The DJ was pretty much the saving grace of the club. Stepped outside to get some air and catch my breath. And was told that I couldn’t go back inside. There was so no signs posted stating this and staff didn’t inform me until after. What a terrible experience and way to end my bachelor party.
Havent had the food there ,but the place is to be in grea atmosphere theres always different people from different cities drinks start @ $5 beers $7 for 12 Oz cans no bottles, be there early on weekends its beyond pack 2 djs ,hasnt disappoint. Been going there for over 4 months now .
The place is really fun!! I loved that it wasn’t a very young crowd, it more like late 20s and up!
Great atmosphere, all 80s-90s. Small dance floor, but lots of private tables and areas to sit and have a drink.
Drinks are weak and made my stomach hurt. I thought it just me but I have tried four different drinks on four different nights and upset stomach. Everything else is great though it’s just the weak sugary drinks.
Great vibes good priced drinks. Karaoke was fun but rudely denied me to use the restroom before leaving, even though I asked the bartender before trying. And dude also said no rush but you have 2 minutes to finish your drinks. Guy with the tattoos on the side of his face could totally have a better attitude for people who are trying to use the facilities of a bar.
Horrible experience!!! RACISTI was walking on the street and saw the Be Kind &Rewind sign. There are some stairs to get in the bar. So I stepped up the stairs and tried to see the atmosphere. And then this african american woman started screaming like crazy to me like I did something wrong. Apparently, she was a security or something like that, but when I stepped up the stairs she was so busy having a conversation with someone else doing I dont know what except her job so she didnt even see me until I was up. She was really rude and I ask why you were screaming at me so badly. I didnt do anything wrong. I asked her also to respect me because I didnt do anything that she told me not to do it. It was definitely a racist act against my Latino ethnicity. She was just so loud that I would never go back here and I will advise all the people I know not to come and support this kind of business. Afte I ask why she screaming at me she call the police on me and she told me to go to and to sh.... th.... fk.... she also rece her middle finger to offend me. I really hope management picks better their employees and take in consideration that Latino are majority in the city and just as white and black we all need to be respected.
Great place lots of movie themes, 80s boom box, and disco vibe theme. They have plenty of spots for picture opportunities which waa incredibly fun. I would give 5/5 on atmosphere but the floor was so insanely sticky that I had a hard time dancing or moving around (my shoes felt glued to the ground, literally got stuck a few times), and they ran out of hand soap in the bathroom. Other than that the place was really fun, played mostly great music (80s,& 90s) in the main room all night, the other room was more dead that played more Mexican styled music.Parking a few blocks down is outrageously expensive. Carpool with friends if you go here. I probably wont go back just due to lack of cheap parking alone.
Not very big limited seating areas. Atmosphere was cool, but just got tired with the limited seating.
Great thought for a club, but location is horrible. Too small, no parking, service is slow. Great music, gets too packed for a small spot.
Worst experience ever….Staff and management wanted to wrongfully accuse my Husband of stealing when they couldn’t find the real thief who stole a tip jar . We even called SAPD our self to get our side of the story straight (which we did).
If you love to dance to amazing 80s and 90s then you got to visit on a Friday night. Drinks and the people are off the hook!!!
Awesome atmosphere with great throwback hits. Dance floor is always packed with people of all ages. Bar service is a little slow but the servers & bouncers are super friendly. One of the better spots to dance in San Antonio.
I had a fun night while I was there! They dont have the largest collection of arcade games (and not all of them are free) so there is a good chance you will be waiting to play, but I feel the good outweighs the bad. Will definitely come back :)
I didn’t try any food but we went for my bachelorette party. The vibes were great! The drinks were great! Our hosted was AMAZING! Game is a booth seat right by the Dance Floor. Came to us to make sure we had drinks. Even offered me water when I was starting to feel a little too good. 😂 The people there were so chill & nice. They had music from all generations. It was such a blast! The drinks are really good priced. The shots were good prices. All in all a great experience!
Visiting from Illinois, my journey to Be Kind Rewind, San Antonios 80s-themed nightclub, promised a trip down memory lane. However, what I encountered was far from the nostalgic retreat I had envisioned. The music was my first surprise. Anticipating a night filled with 80s classics, I was instead greeted by an onslaught of mid-2000s hip hop, played at a volume that would make a rock concert seem quiet. The DJ appeared to have mixed up the decades, much to my (and my eardrums) dismay.Regarding the crowd, those tales of Texas being a land of stunning beauties? Well, this club must have missed the memo. The patrons were a far cry from the glamorous figures Id been led to expect, resembling the familiar, everyday folks of Illinois more than any runway models. The crowds demeanor was equally as unremarkable. The younger patrons, a sea of 20-somethings, dressed identically in what must be the latest influencer-inspired fashion, moved in a monotonous synchrony. Mixed among them were the older men, post-divorce, who awkwardly attempted to blend in and woo women half their age.Attempting conversation in this environment was a futile endeavor. Over the booming bass of 2000s hip hop, any attempt at dialogue was reduced to a shouting match, and even then, understanding each other was a game of chance. In summary, Be Kind Rewind is less a nostalgic 80s experience and more a confusing mix of loud music and a crowd thats far from the Texan stereotype. For those seeking a true 80s vibe or a glamorous night out, this might not be the right venue. But if youre in for a night of loud tunes and diverse people-watching, give it a try. Just dont expect a fashion show, and remember to pack your earplugs.
Came here in Saturday night for a friends birthday. As others have stated parking sucks but it’s what you expect when coming downtown San Antonio so nothing you should be surprised about. Our friends had a booth reserved. Servers were incredibly attentive and came by often we arrive at about 8pm and left around midnight. We had a pleasant experience with the gentleman at the door. No one was rude or difficult. The crowd was a mixture of ages and attire which was fine. The decor was nicely done. The music was a throwback but honestly in my opinion left a lot to be desired and that’s what I’m my opinion people are coming for. While the music videos are a nice touch I think that because of them the mix is pre done and they play each song in its entirety. The DJ’s can’t gauge the crowd and hype them up by moving on to the next song or focusing on the chorus parts. I’m guessing this because how seamlessly the video transitions from one song to another. Essentially the crowds excitement/dancing goes in to a lull for a period of each song.Overall we had a good night, there are small things they could do to fine tune and improve but I would come here again with my girlfriends.
This place is a blast from the past. The old school music, video games and open atmosphere was so cool. If you get a chance visit and play donkey kong or Ms Pac-man. I didnt have food here, just a drink. It was well made.
It is a fun environment with an array of customers. The music is true to the theme and there are lots of places to take selfies. Drinks were good. I recommend the Holla Back Girl if you like sweet drinks. There was no food available when we went, which was shown on the website. So thats a negative. The other negative is the lack of AC throughout the building, as well as lack of regular bathroom cleaning. They would benefit from having bathroom attendants.
Overall awesome vibes! Love the aesthetics and the different themes throughout the club. Drinks are fun. Love that there’s no cover. The one piece of feedback I would offer is with the music from the DJ, they should weave in some current dance hits and/or current remixes of some of the 80’s hits. I’ve been there three times now and it has always been 100% 80’s which is alright but I think a good DJ knows how to mix it up even in a themed bar. Overall very fun place
Been comming here for a couple weeks (new to town) and my go to bartender is Joey. Love his attitude and work ethic. Hes the best. He pays attention and is quick at what he does. He van take care of multiple people at once and hits it on the nail every time. Highly recommend this place and when you come ask for Joey! You wont be disappointed
I really wanted to go in but didn’t want my ID scanned and kept in their computer system being an out of towner, but it looked really cool being an 80’s baby
Guuurl! We went to celebrate my birthday and we had the best 👏 time 👏 ever 👏. They have several rooms with all kinds of music to dance to and oh how we danced. The beverages were also unique and tasty, and there was something for everyone. I highly recommend and cant wait to go back!!!
Atmosphere was great, music was hitting, was having a great time until I went to the bar to order 12 green tea shots, mind you they were $4 a shot. 12x4=$48 not including tip. The bar tender charged me $96 for the 12 green tea shots. I only found out about the actual price of the shots after my brother went up to buy another 12 green tea shots. Since I had paid $96 for the first 12 I initially thought that was pretty steep, but didn’t think about it at that moment and just paid. I asked my brother how much he paid and he paid $48 for the exact same amount of shots but got charged the correct amount for green tea shots. Bartender in question, working from about 3-9 pm wearing a tan/brown sweater.
Loved this place. The music was great, the drinks were wonderful and the atmosphere was top tier. I do wish there were more places to sit other than outside and the one table we saw inside but nonetheless a great experience and I cannot wait to go back.
The bartender was severely rude tonight that work around 8:30-9:00p when basically no one was in the place yet. The bartender couldn’t explain a simple drink and was extremely rude.
I cannot speak to the food as I did not eat here. I also cant speak to the price of drinks since I did not pay for them. Dont drinks always taste better when someone else buys them?! The venue is absolutely wonderful with all its retro decor and the DJ spun a perfect blend of nostalgia and beats that make you want to get on the dance floor. I will recommend to friends!
Had a really good time here! The drinks are creative and pretty good. I especially liked the one that comes in a mini disco ball. The bartenders are cool and provided good service even when it was busy. The retro look is a nice vibe.
One of my favorite places to go. Fun atmosphere, amazing drinks and above all the service from staff is top notch! Angel is always so attentive and his drinks taste amazing! Being able to come in and have girls night and be greeted with a smile is great! You can tell Angel always provides superior service! Cant wait to go back!
Please be careful when ordering pricing depends on the bartender . I order the same drinks from 2 different people ended up paying 2 different totals .
This place is always poppin . Great music , drinks are on point ! Love it !
I would not ever go back to this place. The staff is rude and juvenile. The bartenders do not know what they are doing.
Came for the 1st time for a birthday party. We were not allowed in with the birthday gift which was a candle, an insulated wine flute ( EMPTY) & a mini bottle of sparkling wine. I understand the alcohol but the cup? The security guards were immature and rude and immature. We had to walk back to River Center parking to put the gift in the car. Once we got back we tried to find our party group & when we asked we were told to walk around. When going out to smoke security once again stopped us & said we had to go to the front entrance though the street is not part of the bar. Ridiculous. The main room bartenders were professional and nice, the reason for 3 stars. The music was great in the main room. In the back bar the music was garbage, the bartenders were rude and the vibe was trash, both the people and staff. I was disappointed overall & do not intend to recommend or return. Very sad that Alamo Plaza has turned into such a ghetto place.
Super fun! We wanted to come check out what all the hype was about. It was very crowded on a Saturday night. Crazy hot inside, but the crowd was super friendly and lots of people came dresses up in amazing 80s costumes! We had a total blast dancing all night! Incredible decorations too and fun neon everywhere! Highly recommend Be Kind & Rewind! It definitely lived up to the hype!
I love the atmosphere! I love my 90s mix this is it . Love the bartenders recall. And consistency in their pours . You know how ppl stagger out drunk.(new yrs niight /Halloween)Ive seen the cops call ppl a uber love the safety. Of the staff extends to the peace officers. This is great for a afterhours after a long work day !Id love if the dj could mix a new school beat with the old school lyrics .the mix of music that has been played in the same order each tine ive been (over the course of a yr n half -5 /times ).or hell shuffle what you play .Back entrance is easier to navigate !Multiple bathrooms down stairs ladies !! Buddy stsyem. Please . Enjoy !!
The first time I came here it was super fun & cute but the 2nd time (one week later) all of a sudden the people who check your ID says there’s a “cover charge” but I told them the first time I was here I wasn’t charged? They said they had to start charging that day. I was sketched out but I was already meeting people so I paid $5 for me & $5 for my friend. Little till I find out people who got there a couple minutes before me wasn’t charged. Even after I asked around the bar & no one was charged. I was robbed $10!! Never will I go back. Scammers & overpriced drinks.
I went on a Friday and it was ok. I wouldn’t go back though simply because it’s really nothing special. Music imho is god awful. You have an inconsistent dj spinning the standard hits of 80s, 90s and 00s with very little mixing abilities and in the front room was rap, reggaeton and as I was leaving i heard some mediocre bigroom dance music. Drinks are ok and the staff is nice enough. It was nice to have a staff member walking around taking drink orders and opening tabs just mindful that you cant open a tab with that waitress if you have a tab open at the bar. The crowd is a mixed bag but everyone seems to be mindlessly happy which is good I suppose, just not my sort of crowd or scene, I sorta felt like it was San Antonio meets jersey shore. The decor and games is a cool feature and the disco balls over the floor. Speaking of dancefloor - it was small and I. Front of the dj booth you have people filtering in and out from the bar to the exit which isn’t ideal imo. The music was a little too loud for that small dance space. The bass was nice but again seemed a little too loud for the space.
Didnt try actual food but the drinks were good! Ppl dancing good times.
Great atmosphere and two music rooms to choose from. One rock, rap and alternative the other playing latina. Both were super fun and enjoyable. Thumbs up to those spinning the tunes. And who knows maybe Michael Jackson will make an appearance.🤓
First time here great customer service guys keep it up had a good time me and my girl
We had so much fun celebrating my wife’s birthday Saturday night! Unfortunately, we had someone a part of your staff swipe our card number and use it at your bar again last night for $141.00, and in the Cibolo area yesterday. You may want to look into, as my bank has issued a fraud case and will be investigating. Such a fun spot, bummer we can’t visit again…
The drinks were okay, the music was alright, the staff were fine but lots of standing around on the dance floor. Definitely for an older crowd and I say that as someone in their mid twenties. The aesthetics were super cool but not worth the wait. I would say itd be a cool place to come in for during the day for a couple drinks than for a fun night out.
The decor and music is awesome. But the dance floor is too small and the music is too LOUD. LOUD our ears were literally ringing
By far the best 90s / Y2ks Night in town, perfect sound system, videos playing on the screens, and fun atmosphere! Love it here on Saturdays. They also have an 80s night on Fridays. Definitely a go to spot for a good time dancing with friends!
The best experience ever. Drinks were on point! Food was delicious and fresh. Staff were friendly and helpful. To the owner who created this place. You have an amazing imagination to come up with this take me back to the 80s theme. We will definitely go back
The place is way too hot and needs more air conditioning in different places. It was dirty, everywhere. Bathrooms were disgusting. Dance areas are way too small for the crowds that go in. I really didnt care for leaving my drink with male attendant before going downstairs to bathroom, as women we are supposed to keep an eye on our drinks. I threw it out after.
I had a great time on Sunday. I didn’t know it was karaoke night, but it was so much fun. Taren was my bartender, she was great. She recommended a drink to me called “all my ex’s” and it didn’t disappoint. I will be back my next visit to San Antonio.”
Almost didnt go in because of the rudeness of the door guy. After some convincing, went inside and enjoyed the nostalgia and music. Baretender Elizabeth Liz made some really good drinks. Other than the rude door guy, not easy finding parking or navigating downtown either.
First time on a friday night. 80s music videos brought back memories. Bar service good and bartenders friendly. Ordered nachos and fried pickles on point! Just dont understand why guys have to go outside to use facilities when there are working ones downstairs. Then portable restroom although nice and ac has only one side open for guys with two stalls. The kicker you have to stand in line to get back in from using facilities. Not ideal for guys.
The 80s n 90s dance music was da shiyat! 🔥 The decor and ambiance will take you back in time. Great service. If you aint dancing, get off the dance floor.
Loved it, it was my first time coming here and my friends and I had a blast. Different genre of music,Ill be coming here more often. Nice place just to get out and have fun.
The atmosphere was amazing, everyone was friendly, and music was on point. The bartenders were so nice and quick to get us our drinks. Would definitely go again.
BEWAREYOUR CARD INFO WILL BE STOLENWill not be returning here ever againThankfull I got notification before they continued wasting my money
I am not too huge into the bar scene. However, we came to be kind and rewind simply because of the fact that it was our anniversary. We were walking along the Riverwalk and downtown and we saw it. It was interesting when in. Got myself a nice Curious George shot and my wife got a love potion number nine and we enjoyed ourselves. I dont know how to describe this other than this one simple sentence. It felt like for a brief moment. I went back to being a college student again.
This was my first time going and I was actually excited because of its 90s theme bar but Im not sure that will go back. The bar was so hot I sweating the whole time I was there and could not enjoy myself. The 2nd issue is that the drinks so are redicously priced 7 bucks for a beer and 20 bucks for a simple mixed drink. I use to some bars charging a little more than other but this place Def over did the pricing on their drinks and I just dont think its worth another visit.
Great vibe, music was great and adult beverages on point. Music was generational to us and everyone dancing all night. Highly recommend. Didnt get the opportunity to try the food.
Be kind ?? Unfortunately we did not experience kindness from management and bouncers. My friends and I were denied entrance due to my friends ID not matching their photo (they are in their transition). Keep in mind the ID wasn’t even expired. They displayed acts of hate. Very transphobic.Managers had to be called to check the situation out.Bar inside is incredibly packed, hard to get around and takes a long while to get a pricey drink. Not that great of an experience.
This place was so much fun! Perfect way to satisfy my 80s/90s nostalgia soul! The bartenders are all very kind and attentive, atmosphere is amazing and picture perfect.
This place was amazin! A great throwback feel, even though the dance floor is smaller - it was bumping! Younger crowd too.Restrooms for ladies, only 2 stalls and a dirty mess. Bring your own TP!
Absolutely terrible experience. I came in for ONE drink while walking to my hotel. There’s a bathroom outside of their premises and I opened the door for a lady because I was being nice and I got YELLED at like if I was gonna abuse her. I did not walk in because that was not my intention and one of the workers told me I HAVE TO step away from the ladies bathroom event though I was outside. SUPER UNPROFFESIONAL. A police officer had to step in and tell him it wasn’t that big of a deal. Train your bouncers to be cordial.
Drinks are affordable, strong, and delicious. Try the Spring Break 89. If youre a millennial, especially from the 90s, you. will. LOVE it here! The music! Its colorful! Theres FREE arcade games! cool seating! A boom box wall! and much more! It was my first time in Texas, let alone San Antonio, and I will DEFINITELY be back! Be kind, and pull up here. If youre a local, or just visiting.
Big B, Brannen, was so helpful and kind. He was considerate, from the start to the end . We really enjoyed our time here m.
Rico & Cosman (sorry if we misspelled your names 😖) provided excellent customer service and we had a memorable Halloween in San Antonio thanks to them! We absolutely loved it there ❤️ Ask Rico for a tour !!
We went on a Saturday night. Each night is themed but be sure to get there before 9 or youll be standing outside in a line for a long time. There are 2 entrances. As you walk in, there are 2 bar areas that you can grab a drink and few places to sit. Not a lot. Most are first come first serve. Great places to take photos and music is fantastic. The drinks are also 👌 🔥. Would definitely come back.
Stopped by to check out the bar, great atmosphere, great people, and amazing bartender!! You want to have a good time, make sure to get your drinks from Taren. She made our night. Fast, funny, and personable.
The overall concept of this bar is amazing& brings back so much nostalgia, however the extremely slow staff, taking 10 mins to ring someone up correctly, the ridiculously loud music & the lack of cleanliness kill the vibes. The music literally was so loud our group just stood there looking at each because even shouting we still couldn’t hear. The inside is cool, but with the music being so loud you can’t have a conversation, horrible service, everything being filthy & sticky to the touch, your better off going somewhere else
Love the concept and vibe of this place! We came to have one drink and ended up skipping our dinner reservation because we were having so much fun! Angel is an amazing bartender and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of the entire time. Keep up the great work!
I visited Be Kind Rewind last night for the first time and it was amazing. So nostalgic and really cool. The whole experience was made 100 times better because of the bartender Taren. She was honestly so amazing and I will be returning.
Great music, and a wonderful crowd made this visit one to remember. Also the drinks were very reasonably priced. If you love the 80s, you will love this experience!
Great vibe...the clientele was a mixed group from 20s up to 50s age range. Great music, good variety of drinks.
Awesome place for any 80s or 90s.babies. great music and atmosphere
I went in on Sunday night for karaoke! I had a blast! Taren and Angel was taking care of me and I truly adore those two! One recommended an orange creamsicle and the other recommended me a Weird Science! I was already feeling it after those two drinks, these two bartenders was always asking me if I was ok and if I was hungry and so on. I was very please with the service and they even motivated me to sing. This will be my new spot! Ask for them!!!
Play zero ‘80s music & focus on the worst R&B songs of the late 90s & 2000s. If you are looking for trash you’ve come to the right place. Backwards hats, skinny beards, bright white tennis shoes. If you are searching for the “why” people leave San Antonio this is your spot.
【ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━━┻ ┻━┻ ︵ ლ(-᷅_-᷄ლ)If you dont know you need to know this is the place to be at on the weekends. This retro 🎆club/bar🍻 is so unique that it feels like youre stepping back in time⏱️⌛ as soon as you walk into this establishment. Yet dont get me started on some of the classic 🎮free retro games they have at this club. Yet to be exact Pac-Man🎮 Street Fighter are some of the classic games they have here. Yet the music is definitely some heart pounding music from back in the day. And did I mention they also play 80s 90s, etc, and early two thousand music here. O wait theres more this is two clubs/bars in one, thus meaning, you also get to jam out to some fire latino music and chill calm reggaeton music by simply walking over to their secondary; bar/club, that is within the same building. Although dont take my word for all Im saying just show up and find out for yourself about this club. Also bring your friends and family for a great time at Be Kind & Rewind just remember this club is 21+ and up.🎆 Yet Ill end this review by giving a huge shout out to a few people I personally knew there, specifically (GM) Mr. chris and Assistant (GM) Mr. Adrian, as well as Managers, Alex, Camille, Jrod, Angel, Javi, etc. And of course a huge shout out to the current security team that keeps this place safe, I see yall keep up the great work.😁 👮👮♀️ Yet also a major shout-out to the staff members, bar tenders, etc.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣀⣤⣤⣄⣀⣀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⣴⡶⠟⠛⠉⠉⠉⠉⠉⢻⡿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠘⣿⡆⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⣧⠀⢀⣤⢤⠤⢤⣄⣘⣿⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⣿⠤⠼⡄⢿⣿⡇⣯⠭⢽⣧⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿⠖⠚⠻⠾⠟⠒⢋⣀⡀⢻⣷⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⣠⣴⡿⠶⠶⠒⢒⡛⠋⠉⠙⢛⠋⠛⠛⠿⣶⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢰⣾⠟⠉⠀⣀⣠⠶⣶⣻⠋⢙⣿⠿⣿⣻⡷⣦⣄⣿⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠘⣿⣄⣴⠛⢩⠇⢸⡿⡟⠃⠀⢽⡛⠓⠛⢳⣈⡿⢻⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠘⣿⣻⣧⠘⣧⠈⠀⠉⠀⠀⡀⣁⣠⠀⢸⢿⣷⡿⠁⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠙⠿⣿⠀⡇⠐⣶⠀⠈⡶⠇⢰⠇⢀⣾⢿⡍⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿⣀⡳⣄⡀⠑⠶⠴⠞⢁⣠⠾⢣⣤⡟⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⣴⡿⠋⠙⣇⣠⠉⠛⠒⠲⠞⠛⠁⢲⡾⢿⣶⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣰⡿⠋⠀⡄⠀⠈⢹⣤⢤⡀⢰⣦⣰⡖⠛⠃⣆⠙⢿⣧⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⣼⡟⠀⢀⣾⡇⢠⡶⠋⠁⢸⠉⠹⣏⠉⢛⣶⠆⠸⣧⣀⠹⣷⣄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣼⠟⠀⢀⠎⣼⠀⠀⠉⠓⢦⡼⠀⠀⠹⣤⣎⡁⠀⠀⣷⣉⡷⠈⠻⣷⡄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠘⣿⣄⠀⠙⢦⣿⠀⠀⢠⣴⠚⡇⠀⠀⠀⢻⣼⠁⠀⠀⢸⡿⠁⠀⠀⣸⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⢿⣆⠀⢠⣿⡄⠀⠀⠙⢾⣁⣀⣀⣀⣈⣳⡀⠀⠀⢸⣁⣀⢀⣼⡟⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠙⣿⠋⠈⣇⠀⠀⠀⣾⠁⡼⢧⠥⡌⡿⢧⠀⠀⢸⠁⠈⢉⡏⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣴⡿⣧⣤⡿⠀⠀⠀⣿⣆⣳⣦⣤⣿⣷⣺⡇⠀⢸⣦⣤⣾⢻⣶⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠙⢻⣿⠟⠀⠀⠀⢸⠿⠶⣶⣤⣀⣠⠞⠁⢹⣄⠀⠀⢹⣯⠉⠉⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⠉⣿⠟⠛⠙⠋⠀⠀⠀⠈⠉⠀⠀⠀⠀⠻⣆⠀⠀⢹⣷⡄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⡟⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢰⡿⠿⢷⣦⠀⠀⠀⠙⠛⠛⠹⣇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣾⡇⠀⠈⣿⡄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢻⣧⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠰⣷⣦⣄⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⣿⠀⠀⠀⢸⣷⡀⠀⠀⠀⢀⣤⣾⠟⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠙⠿⣿⣶⣦⣤⣼⡿⠀⠀⠀⠀⢿⣧⣤⠶⣾⣿⠋⠁⠀⠀⠀⣠⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣰⣿⣒⣶⣼⡟⠁⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⢿⣶⠊⣀⡽⣧⡀⠀⠀⢠⣿⣷⠀⣿⣶⣤⣤⣤⣀⣠⣿⠓⠤⢬⣿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⢿⣏⣁⠤⢿⣷⣀⣴⡿⠁⢹⡆⢻⣇⠈⠉⣿⣿⣿⠻⣭⣵⣾⣿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⢻⣶⠒⣉⣿⡟⠋⠀⠀⣿⠁⠀⠻⣦⣄⠙⠛⠋⠀⢀⠀⢸⣿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⣿⡏⠻⢿⣟⣠⣤⡾⠋⠀⠀⠀⠀⠉⠻⠿⠷⠿⠿⠷⠾⠟⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠛⠷⣶⡿⠋⠉⠉⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
On Friday we visited his business with 9 other people, we are all friends and we are all between the ages of 40 and 65, we are no longer guys who go to get drunk and it was just enjoying music of our time. The husbands began to ask for the tickets that supported the consumption, because as you know we have to be reporting taxes, there was a moment when the girl replied to one of the husbands that she did not have it and very annoyed she called the security person , which comes and not only makes the observation to retire to our friend, but tells all of us that we have to retire. It is very humiliating and unfortunate that on our first visit to your business they leave us with a terrible impression and that is exactly what we are going to share. It is disrespectful not to investigate what is happening, I suppose you have security cameras, with which you can verify that there was never any type of improper conduct and, on the contrary, we can verify that we were indeed there with the states account of our cards. Based on this, obviously we cannot recommend your establishment in any way and I reiterate the terrible impression, and only for requesting a receipt for our consumption
Decently priced drinks. And great atmosphere and music.
Sat, Nov 12. This place is fun. Went with a group of 10 people. Everyone had a good time. The only negative is the extremely slow bar staff. When I arrived at 2pm there was only one girl working the bar and she was slow. When I left at 5pm there appeared to be 4 people working the bar and the service was still very slow. It could be that some of the drinks are to complicated. I heard the same complaint from everyone in our party. Also no beer on tap.
Music is great. Would def come back! Fun atmosphere too.
Good music and cool vibe. Everybody was having a good time and dancing and singing. Must go back again.
This place rocks! One of my favorite Happy Hour Spots in SATX. Happy hour drink specials and the wings are on point! If you’re an 80s, 90s, 00s music and music video fanatic this is YOUR place. All the deco and entertainment is top notch, even has a little throwback museum of stuff I used to play with 😂. Very instagrammable location. Did I mention the wings 🤤 oh yea I did lol. Highly recommend to locals to come chill and tourist should definitely pay it a visit. Excellent staff and service! Come on down!
Like many places in SA. This place has lost its soul. The promise of a retro experience has fallen to a bored DJ who only wants to listen to his or her favorite bad music. I’m down for whatever gets the people on the dance floor…. But the ignorance of the worker’s comprehension of the theme is insulting. I was told it was 2000’s night, yet we didn’t dance to his favorite hip hop from when ever. I love hip hop, Circa Drais in the Cromwell of vegas, but the blatant disregard for the patrons wishing to have a retro birthday party, and there are multiple, is just annoying and insulting. Be what you want to be, make all the money you can, but stop pretending you are a what the phrase ‘be kind rewind’ means to unsuspecting locals and visitors.
My new favorite downtown spot, literally the best bar tender in SA, hit up Paul for an incredible cocktail or sit down and order delicious food from a menu inspired by Jay the best chef in this town in my opinion. For bar food you couldn’t ask for more and talk about a convenient location, right in the middle of everywhere you want to be, the music and crowd make this the best in town.
Great place for party! There are 2 rooms, 1 with 80s-90s music and the other one with 00s music. Great drinks as well.
Great place to visit. The vapor-wave aesthetic is spot on and the vibes are immaculate. Spent a good amount of time in the arcade section playing Dig Dug and Galaga. All the shots on their specialty menu were delicious!
First time visiting San Antonio. Came across this hot spot and thoroughly enjoyed it! Great music/DJs, awesome bartenders and so much fun! Highly recommend if you enjoy the 80s and 90s!!!
What a fantastically fun place!!! Our experience was amazing and we appreciate the time Angel took to talk to us and answer our questions. He was super courteous and patient with all the customers. We love the decor and the food was great too! Definitely will return. Hopefully, Angel will be there again!!
I wouldnt know how this place is because the security at the front wouldnt let us in. He searched us and our backpacks, which all we had in them were souvenirs. He searched my husbands backpack and said he was good and then he searched our friends backpack that also had just souvenirs in it. One of the souviners he had was some kind of candy for his kids and as soon as the security guard saw the candy, he said we couldnt come because backpacks werent allowed. 🤔 Which is odd cause he was about to let my husband in with a backpack but wouldnt let our friend in just because he had candy? It made zero sense!
I had high hopes for this club following social media posts. I grew up in NY, lived in Chicago and frequented Miami and Las Vegas so I have a lot of experience frequenting clubs. I have never experienced a NEW place like this. Already filthy sticky floors, tables and restrooms. After sitting at a table for 15 minutes at only 7PM, a guy came by with a pizza. I grabbed him on his way back and asked him how do we order drinks and food. He said he didn’t know ☹️. We sat for another 15 minutes and no one came by to wait on us. We left, went to another place to eat and thought it might be better later in the night. Arrived to wait 10 minutes for a drink than to find out the girls restroom only had 2 stalls!! with only 1 working after waiting in line 20 minutes. The restroom was filthy with wet dirt on the floor, blood splattered in the stall and no soap. The most disgusting place I’ve ever been to and this place hasn’t even been open a month. It doesn’t even deserve one star!
Planned all week to go and try it out. As a local we avoid the downtown area. Got there just fo not be let in because my husbands wallet had a chain. We offered to put it in my purse as a solution. They refused to let us in. Paid parking, walked a bit to get there just to not be let in.
We took a party bus to this location for my 45th birthday and we weren’t allowed in because my wife was dancing as we walked in. She wasn’t even drunk. Congratulations, you just denied entry to a party bus full of people with money.
I came in for the first time on Sunday for karaoke. Taren was my bartender she was amazing. This place was awesome, definitely loved the vibe. Will be coming back for sure.
Looks like a cool place someone that grew up in my generation would enjoy.I was looking forward to checking the place out and even made a special trip down there and wasted the Uber ride because unfortunately the door guy would not take my paper i.d. which is understandable except Im almost 50 years old and had other forms of i.d. I dont even usually carry an i.d when Im not driving because IM OLD! I should be flattered to be i.dd but I was really looking forward to going here my last night in SA. Plus wasted my money on the ride there. 😒Hopefully not all of the door people are this ridiculous.
Not true to its nameAt first I was very excited to here about this establishment and finally made it a point to visit on a week nite. I was impressed and loved everything about it ESPECIALLY the music. We went back last nite (Saturday)The music blaring outside the place was horrible(Reggeton Merengue whatever U wanna call it..). I walked past the long line of people and Elderly doorman lied to me when I asked him “why are you playing Latin music I thought you we’re all about 80’s 90’s” Pop/Dance etc…and he said to me that’s on the other side of the building there are 2 sides .Total “ LIE “he didn’t know I had already been once before. Place is not that big not that big at all much less have 2 sides for different genres of music.Mind you we had just leftThe Bonham (dance club) for the same exact reason ….I don’t understand whyBars/Club here in San Antonio play Predominantly Latin or Everything else but American Dance/Pop etc…
I love the concept of the barButtttttttt…..why do patrons have to reserve seating and then pay a fee only for the establishment not allowing food or even a cake ridiculous! And then no accommodations for the establishments mistake on reserving a table that a patron paid and confirmed weeks prior. The staff was rudeGreat concept but do better for the customers period.
Fun atmosphere. Love to see so many different people in one spot having a blast. The issue is the guy checking ids. Suoer rude and condescending. He thought my wifes id was fake and wouldnt stop taking about it. Just because one hasnt seen a Seminole nation ID card doesnt mean he should accuse us of it being a fake ID.We are in our 40s so not sure why it bothered him so much. I get they have to check all Ids but dont be a rude jerk about it.. I know nothing will be done but im sure all who go there know who im talking about. Hope he learns some manners soon.
The guy at the door with a long beard and cowboy hat expressed transphobic behavior. I was not allowed entry because my license photo did not match me. Photo was taken pre transition and the name (my legal name) was too feminine. I have been actively working to correct this and have not encountered this issue such far anywhere else. Do not recommend if you are LGBT community.
Awesome place, they have an outside area for you to sit with your dog. It was great!
No matter how nice a place is and how good the music is if the bar staff isn’t 100% it’s not going to be a good time. Luckily that wasn’t the case because the bartender Angel was quick and made some awesome drinks. 👏🏻
Went opening night and it was a cool vibe. We tried to go in this evening and were patted down by 4 security guards in body armour!!! We were absolutely embarrassed for our family having to endure this. I will never go back. It makes me wonder what in the world has been going on that they have 4 security guards and 1 bartender for the whole place.
Amazing Place. Loveee all the paintings and vibes
Such a ViBE!!! I love this bar, and the drinks are amazing !!
We went at happy hour and pretty sure they over charged us because we only had 6 drinks and there werent many customers at the time so it seems we got charged for a few extras. It was ok. I love the 90s but it was by the river so they taxed us a little bit.
Juan is not only on point with his personality but also with his service at the bar. He made me a drink that was too sour for me and instead of being offened or popping attitude (i see this alot), he made it a little less sour which was to my liking. He listens to his customers and does what he can to add enjoyment and fun to your night out. We need more bartenders like him!!!
The place has an amazing theme, perfect for pictures and so much fun. Chris the GM is amazing he and the staff are super welcoming. I recommend this place 100%
This place is Over priced stupid managers with stupid minimum wage door people.if you want better time go to yardhouse
