The people that work there are extremely nice and some of the nicest people Ive met since Ive moved here from Memphis, TN. The young lady that works there,shes got a beautiful soul I swear. Coming from a rough environment to come across someone like her thats always nice, pleasant, and genuine. Her personality alone will have you reevaluating yourself. Positive energy

There are good smoke shops in San Marcos. Even, a couple of great ones.And then there is FattysFattys is an amazing smoke shop with great prices and even better service.Today I had a faulty disposable. I did not have my receipt, however I was treated fairly and, as always, thrilled with my in store experience. These guys are the best.I highly recommend Fattys Smoke Shop.

This past Thursday my family was there for my daughter’s graduation and we got caught in the storm that happened. Bree, Dylan and another (maybe) employee went above and beyond to help my family out. I’m in a wheelchair and they helped get me up the steps and into the shop. They made sure my wife and one of my daughters were unharmed and safe. As the storm raged on they made sure others who were outside had a place to hunker down. Words can’t express how grateful I am for them. Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart!

The employees and manager that work here know almost nothing about the products they sell. Every time Ive had a question or ask for a recommendation, the answer is usually an I dont know. The past three times Ive gone Ive specifically asked for a non-menthol product, every product theyve recommended I buy has always been a menthol product. Any time Ive asked for a certain type of coil, theyve gotten me to buy the wrong one, Ive had to take my own could there and compare them myself to get the right ones. The manager even tried the vape he just sold me after I told him it was menthol, he looked me in the eyes and then lied to me and himself stating that it was not menthol, when it indeed was. Just terrible customer service. So much wasted money and time.Im taking all my future business to Connoisseur Smoke Shop, the employees at CSS actually know what they are talking about and have never steered me in the wrong direction. The manager at CSS is also actually knowledgeable about the products they are selling and I get a better customer service experience there anyways and the manager doesnt lie to his customers faces.Edit: You did lie, you hit the vape and said it wasnt menthol, when it was. Your business is bunk, you and your employees are not informed. Taking my business elsewhere where they know the difference between menthol and non menthol. Its okay, you have a lot to learn about vapes and customer service.

I’ve been to this shop many times in the past two years. The employees are super nice and friendly and help me find new good flavors but yesterday I tried the two vapes out in the store that I got and they worked fine but after a few hours of hitting one of them it started to not hit smooth and is burnt. And I wanted to go in today and exchange it but they didn’t even give me my receipt like they normally do.

Ive been to Fattys twice, the first time I had a great experience with Justin who sold me a Chillum. Great atmosphere and made me and made me want to switch the Fattys from now on. My second visit was not so good. I just started vaping and I went to Fattys to ask some questions and get some information about vaping products and to purchase my first Vape juice. I was trying to purchase something cheap and basic to start off with and I felt like I was given wrong information can mislead about nicotine levels and almost talking to and persuaded to buy a $30 bottle. When I left I almost felt like I was taking advantage of and when I got home my buddy looked up the Vape juice I bought and found the same $30 bottle I purchased online for only $12. This flavor and nicotine level is way too much for me and now I feel like Ive wasted $30. Im not sure if Ill return after this.

Best prices and selection anywhere is central Texas probably in the entire state! The staff is always chill and friendly! They often have specials and bonus deals! They take Apple Pay and they are open late! My favorite of any smoke shop I’ve ever visited! I’m 55 and I’ve been around the block a Few times! If your in San Marcos or even close it’s worth the trip! I always stock up when I go there ! I wish ever smoke shop had the same mind set! Thanks Fatty’s im a customer for life! BTW ESCO BARS alway fail I never buy them anywhere it’s not fattys fault it’s the manufacturer of these poor products! I’ve been there 50 Times or more not once has anyone ever been rude ! I have bought three esco bars this week and every single one ends up burnt the next day!! That is more than thirty dollars the drain just to still not have a vape. I have tried calling the store multiple times and nobody ever answers. Now I am stuck with three burnt vapes that barely hit. One of them even tasted slightly burnt while trying it in the store so the employee tried it but proceeded to tell me that it “tasted fine” to her. They haven’t tried to help me at all and I’m never buying anything from this store again

Everytime I go in to this smoke shop this short girl with curly hair always making fun of customers and making fun them calling people Disabled.This is the most disrespectful smoke shop I ever been in.if you dont walk in the store putting on a show for the workers there gonna think your weird and crazy,Im not there to put on show on Im there just to buy things.These people are straight Judgmental

Unfortunately this will not be a good review. I recently went in looking for a water pipe for my friends birthday. I was completely ignored by this employee (he had a lot of tattoos). When I asked for management he said they werent at the store and he didnt know when theyd be back. He was very blunt and rude when I questioned him so I just had to go to a different store. I was really bummed because I saw a nice piece that wouldve been perfect for my friend but since someone doesnt want to do their job I couldnt.

First of all we LOVE Brandon.💯 He is very helpful, even while being restrained due to out of stock vape juices constantly. He answers our questions with kindness and always goes the extra mile to help. Unfortunately, stocking 6% and even higher juices never gets resolved. It is not Brandon and the clerks fault. Brandon gets 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐We frequent the store every month to get vape juice. Unfortunately, they dont restock common Smok coils and 6% juices in their Coastal Clouds, Naked 100, and Esco Bars non-menthol flavors such as any tropical or fruit flavors. We have bought all these flavors out over the years & weve bought hundreds of dollars (even though some were produced in 2019). They can only reorder whats in the warehouse, yet they never reorder for this stock. Now we cant get anymore of these flavors and we will have to go back to online and Uber to vape shops. Please pay attention and build up your vape juice collection with brand names and not cheap coil destroyer juices.

Dont buy your vapes here. Vapes stopped working right after leaving the store. Came right back and they would not replace them or refund them even though we had just been in the store 5 mins before it happened because of their policy that once you leave the store they dont refund. Offered a discount on new vapes after 40 bucks wasted. They probably know half the cheap vapes they are probably selling for way more than they should are going to fail and have that policy for that exact reason.Stay away from their cheap vapes... This has happened more than once and only attempted to get them refunded this time because I had literally just been in the store a moment before they stopped working.They dont even have a great selection of pipes and other stuff either... Most of their products are vapes that they obviously expect to fail or they wouldnt have that policy.Dont waste your money here.

Employees were super nice. The manager was inviting and knowledgeable. They have so many great products. I highly recommend stopping In.

Justin is amazing. He spent a good amount of time helping my husband and I find a gift for his Dad. He is patient and kind. Was very knowledgeable and able to put together an entire selection for us as a gift. Let alone the GREAT prices. The employees are all wonderful. Justin could sell ice to an Eskimo and make them happy buying it. Hes impressive! Never pressured us just aided on our choices and truly listened to what we needed. We wont go to any other store but Fattys after this visit.

(RIP OFF ARTIST RUNNING THE PLACE!!!) Just spent 85 bucks (double what other shops are charging!!!!!) on a vape. Tell the guy working there the situation and how I need a new vape. Get the vape, take it back home and find out it doesnt come with batteries. Drive back and turns out they dont carry the batteries! How are you going to sell a product and you dont Carry the necessary accessories for it? Also, no returns! Employee even stated i should have told you before you left then got condescending by saying most people who buy that vape already know. Then proceeded to recommend me to other shops (all which happened to be closed at the time). Also looked up the ACTUAL price of the vape.... 46.99 these guys are ripping everyone off!Go to gr8 vapes theyre usually super informative to any question and have sample bottles for juices,or holy smokes shop, also informative and give recommendations (plus theres usually a nice dog you can pet!)

Justin and Rob are super helpful and knowledgeable. They even checked the back for me and although they didnt have the part I needed they helped me find new items to purchase.This store is hands down the best head store in the area and possibly the state. The owners should definitely keep them around. They really are super friendly.

These guys are awesome. Moved from Houston to San Marcos a while back, needed a new designated smoke shop...came here and loved the vibe. Fatty’s employees are competent, helpful, personable and knowledgeable (about their products). I’ve been going here for over a year now and I can’t say I’ve walked out of Fatty’s feeling disappointed. In relation to other San Marcos smoke shops I’ve tried out, Fatty’s Smoke Shop is definitely my first pick. They’re like the one person who ALWAYS comes in clutch.

Bought 2 esco bars and as soon as I left the store I opened them and they both stayed on hitting its self and one jus blinked turned on and turned off again this was my first and last time buying vapes from this store never again ! I also tried calling the store several several times but nothing now I’m stuck with two defective vapes do you a favor and not buy vapes from this store

Prices went up. I shop there at least 3 times a week and actually more at times. Their prices were really low and great, thats why I shopped there. The quality is still the same. The store is still nice and clean and the staff really great to deal with. They lost a good dude that worked there and replaced him with a not so nice lady. I am looking for cheap kratom in san Marcos??? Any suggestions would help.

This was a very nice looking shop. Display cases were super clean. I was a little bit disappointed with the sales person. I asked for a couple of things specifically and the guy acted like he didnt understand what I was looking for. In the end I bought something that I didnt want because between the two of us, neither of us asked each other questions. Im sure if he had known more about his product, I would not have wasted $40

My friend and I came in to buy a new quartz nail tonight. Weve bought the same exact Chinese knock off nail probably 3 other times for $20, each time... But tonight it was suddenly  $35. Unfortunately, I noticed after I had already paid... Thats when we started to have problems. We explained that we had previously paid $20 and would like a refund. Well thats apparently not allowed... which usually Id understand considering the type of glassware and the use for it, however WE HADNT EVEN LEFT THE BUILDING! Weve been long term, happy customers at Fattys for a very long time; my friend even sold his glass there. Never had a problem before, but this new manager sucks!! BRING BLAINE BACK!! The customer isnt always right, but when youre very blatantly ripping someone off... WOW!! Looks like Marvelous has another new customer and they price match!!

Popped into fattys on August 26, the manager Justin is hands down the man to talk too! He blew my mind with facts and even blessed me with a free sample of juice. As long as Justin is there I will always be back. To who ever sees this; give this man a raise! He is a top of the line salesman’s and just an all around honest person and just overall a great guy. He fits perfectly in this shop. I will be back for Justin

Me and my friend of age got accused of stealing a 3$ cone package by a short African American man with a fake diamond chain and bad tattoos . Plus they do no ID I have seen 16 year olds buy from them

Ive been coming to this store for about 2 years and every single staff member here has always gone above and beyond for not only me but others as well!!Some of the most caring, knowledgeable, and hard working people Ive met! :)If theres a corporate number or something Id love to tell any higher ups how much these fine people have positivily impacted my life, and how they truly go the extra mile!

Im totally new to vaping, I was in on Sunday 6/3 about 3 pm. The tall guy with curly hair helped me out tremendously! I didnt know if my unit would even work because it was given to me( i didnt know that i had to charge it) he was very patient and informative. I was surprised that he didnt want to sell me juice for my unit, until I knew it would work. After charging it, I went in this morning 6/4 and was helped by a different employee, he was short in his answers to my questions, but he made up for that with his recommendations, he suggested that I try Mother Teresa, I made my purchase, and he was spot on! Love it!! I will definitely be a returning customer, and I will definitely suggest my friends and family to visit your establishment.

What used to be a fantastic spot back in 2015 has now turned into a hit or miss we cant help you/accept refunds for products that dont work, even if we sold you a defective product. The pieces are nicely priced, but alas, I was watched intensely as I shopped, as if my movements would lead to the next big steal. Just a young and anxious cashier, I supoose. It just seems service has gotten less honest, more commercialized. For me, a minimal prospect when searching for smoke shops, at most.

Awesome friggin shop!!!!!! Great people giving true customer service. Gotta tip my hat to the salesman Micheal and management, Justin. I bought a 300 dollar piece that I fell in love with at first sight. Took it home and tried it out and hey it was a Justified purchase, noticed small crack on neck but couldn’t care less, couldn’t be happier. Next day, The neck just comes off...... It’s Glass....... Fml...... Go in the next morning and I’m met by Justin who immediately just fixes the problem without hesitation. Doing what good management does and treats customers like people and not just customers. I’m a customer for life now. You’ve earned it guys.

One of the things that can turn a customer all the way off and walk straight out the door is a stalking employee that wont let a customer relax and browse thier store without an employee breathing down thier neck, staring at them and asking questions quoting unrequested price checks not to mention the gossip or just straight up talking down on another individual, trying thier best to chuckle at making fun of whoever they are being messy on. Dude, let me shop and undrape yourself from me!

The staff is very friendly! I would say that NEVER in my life have I ever walked into a place that made you feel so welcomed. Best selection in the world. I wouldnt recommend going anywhere else BUT to Fattys ♡ Keep up the good work guys!!!

Justin and Rob provided some of the best service I’ve seen in a while. Every time we come in the employees are extremely friendly and patient. They always help us find what we want at our price range. Above it all they have some great pieces.

I’ve bought from this shop many times, one night I walked in looking for another cart and another battery. The manager had her headphones in and made my time in her store feel like an inconvenience. Anytime I asked about a product she was cut and dry. I asked her for the cheapest pen, and offered me a pen that was more expensive. She failed to mention a bogo deal on a disposable I had bought. Not going back for any more vapes

Went in there not tryna spend me money but Quin over here gave me the whole tour tried to sell me everything made it hard for me to choose it all sounded and looked so good. Cool looking store, it has a good variety of things. Two stars because prices there are outrageous, I have personally seen an object with a market value between $1.25-2.00, go for $5.00. This is not an isolated occurrence, I bought some containers that are typically $7-10 elsewhere, at Fattys they were $15. Not sure whose worst at markup, Fattys or the GasPipe.

Justin and Rob are so accommodating, friendly and generous. Theyve hooked us up for the past two years for ALL our recreational needs. Discounts, information I couldnt ask for anything more out of a smoke shop. Definitely our go-to spot.

Purchased a glass piece for my set up, because they seemed like nice guys. Problem was that the bowl didnt fit my setup, but when I went to exchange it they referred to a no refunds/exchanges store policy. When I explained to the guy that the bowl was unused and completely new he threw up his arms and said Sorry.Heres the thing: both visits to this store were at different times of the evening, and during both visits I was the only customer in the store. Doing the math its clear to see that there would be zero loss to the business by exchanging a piece they suggested I buy, which ultimately was unusable. I wouldve taken a cheaper replacement, so long as I could use the stupid thing! No, instead theyd prefer to ruin the potential for repeat business and risk bad online reviews for the sake of enforcing a dumb policy that gets them nothing, but gives me a glass piece I cant use and a headache.RESPONSE TO OWNER: the bowl was for a piece I own. I now have a bowl I cant use on a piece I own and cannot use. Definitely a huge waste of time.

Everytime I go in these guys make me feel welcomed. I do most of my shopping online, but now I go see these guys because they always give great deals with super friendly service. I highly recommend them. Thier staff is awesome.

Youll be greeted to a friendly, obedient dog upon entering sometimes. Every person I have seen behind the counter has been down to earth, and very helpful. Knowledgeable as they come, if youre on the fence about a certain product, or need information, these guys will go point by point explaining the pros and cons of all the options. Whether youre new or experienced, Fattys has exactly what you need, and more. Heavily recommended.

Overpriced, I can get the OPMS shots everywhere in town for about $20, these guys charge close to $30 after taxes. Also one of the rudest staffs I’ve encountered in town besides maybe the long red headed guy and a young man with ear piercings the rest don’t even greet you when you enter and they have an attitude. I dont know if they’re just stoned or what but I’ve had other people tell me theyve have similar experiences. Its not just because I’m old either, Ive been to other places around town where the young people working were really polite.

I never got her name, but the girl with the colored hair and pretty eyes was very helpful. Im a regular at Fattys and I can say its my favorite smoke shop in San Marcos. Highly recommend. She was very helpful with finding me a vapor liquid that suited my needs.

Fattys is amazing. Real friendly staff, large variety of hand pipes, one hitters, and water bongs. With your wall full of cigarillos and wraps of all sorts of sizes and flavors. Feel free to be open and talk to the staff. They really do help. Its a personal favorite

Love this place. Bought a vape from here and had issues with it. Brought it back and they helped fix my problem. They have a pretty good selection of liquids and CBD also. TONS of glass pieces and decently priced too. Will definitely be going back here.

I was at fattys today 8/12/18 at about 1:30. I thought I needed a new battery for my vape pin. A gentlemen named Justin didnt just sell me something he helped me diagnose my problem. I spent $2.99 on a new carterige instead of a new oven altogether. It works exactly like .It is suppose too. Its not that the $15 would have made me broke. Its that the guy cared enough to help me find what I need instead of taking the bigger sale. Thank you sir if you read this. Good service should be recognized as well as the bad.J.C.

Not only do the employees rarely wear masks, they are uneducated on their products. We went in asking for Delta 8 flower, and were sold CBD flower. Then told no returns or exchanges.

To save your money and health, DONT buy puff bars from this location - i scratched off 3 different puff bars bought from here and all were verified as counterfeit from the official puff website. I specifically asked if they were fake or real before purchasing and was told they are 100% real, but that is not the case.

Probably the worst smoke shop ever. Writing this in hopes of a person higher than a manager. I was sold a defective piece that broke on the first day. Didn’t know they invested in such defective ware ! I need my money back or something because this is the worst way to treat a customer. Please help

Truly liked this place for kratom but this girl would not answer a yes or no question keep saying excuse me, but, i cant answer a price question. I respected that and asked if it is higher than this.....no she tried to turn things around like it was an offence to her. A real twisted person that cannot answer a plain yes/no question. Fear of truth, thats a mental disorder caused from no teaching of Life thru Jesus. Not religious or religion, fear God. No explanation

Just moved to San Marcos and I was looking for a new smoke shop to go to and fattys will always be my go to from now on. I have horrible anxiety and a lot of people dont really help I end up helping myself. When I walked into fattys the gentleman at the front helped me and gave me some things to try. My anxiety because of his help has been so much better. My favorite smoke shop by far.

This is the best place to get your glass and pipe in San Marcos Texas .Staff is great and have wonderful customer service. Props to Justin and Rob for excellent salesmanship .

Cool staff good music but went in like 5 different times and still did not have the electronic cigarette device i wanted. Its not a big deal but dont keep telling people itll be in today or early tomorrow morning when you said the same thing 2 weeks before.
