My appointment at Miracle Massage Spa, scheduled for a 60-minute session with hot stones and essential oils using a gifted Groupon voucher, turned out to be a horrible experience. Despite arriving promptly at 9:30, the place was closed with no staff inside. After enduring a 15-minute wait in the cold rain, two ladies eventually arrived without offering an apology for being late. Despite having a prepaid Groupon voucher, I was initially informed that payment was still required. This discrepancy led to a prolonged discussion with the owner over the phone, causing unnecessary frustration and delay.Once the massage commenced, the ambiance within the massage room was anything but relaxing. The room was extremely cold and had hints of cigarette smoke (guessing the staff smokes on their breaks).Additionally, noise from adjacent rooms disrupted any chance of relaxation. The masseuse kept clearing her throat too. The massage itself was discomforting and unprofessional, with the therapist employing invasive techniques, particularly focusing excessively on areas like the buttocks. Furthermore, the lady displayed a lack of skill in covering untouched areas with a towel or blanket. Midway through the session, another lady abruptly entered without warning to take over, further unsettling the experience. Adding to the discomfort, both therapists got on top of the table during the session, leaving me feeling exposed and uncomfortable. I did not receive the promised essential oils or hot stones, but at that point, I simply wanted to leave. Despite the inadequate service, they demanded a tip, pointing to a sign suggesting a 20% gratuity. Given the lateness, incomplete service, and overall discomfort, I declined but they kept pressuring a tip.Ridiculous. My experience at Miracle Massage Spa was traumatic and deeply disappointing. I would advise anyone considering their services to look elsewhere. Awful.
I passed by here and came in. It is very big, quiet and warm. I was told that the owner had just changed. What made me even happier was that Peter, who gave me a massage, was someone I knew before. His massage was very professional. I had never found him, but I met him today. Sure enough, his massage was very good and cured my frozen shoulder in one go. Thanks to Peter for coming here. I will come here often in the future.
This used to be a great place for a body or foot massage. The last few times I went, were disappointing.Ive been going to these type massage places for at least 20 years so I think I have some idea what makes a great massage experience and worth the money, and which just suck and are a waste of your time and money.I took my daughter for foot massage for both. I tried calling twice before we got there and the call went straight to voicemail without an option of leaving a message. So we just showed up.The man who was covering the reception was the person who would be doing my foot massage. Which was not great at all because he was busy on his phone with 1 hand, while doing a mediocre massage with the other hand.He also got up and went to the reception at least 4 timesSome more pet peeves/complaints:The front door was wide open and the room where they do the foot massages is close to the entrance. They kept that door open as well, resulting in hearing all the traffic noises, loud music being played, kids screaming etc. Good luck trying to relax!! I understand why they did it: to hear anyone coming in and he could do his reception work. For some reason there was no music playing and that may have helped with blurring out the other noises. So again, based on hundreds of experiences, the massage my daughter and I received were very basic and repetitive. His approach to a neck/shoulder massage is pressing his elbow hard over a towel and thats about it.Very disappointing and do not recommend any longer.Oh they charge $2 if you pay with a cardAnd when I wanted to walk out without tipping for lackluster massages, they stopped my daughter and basically demanded a tip. So I gave them $10 to be done with them.
Ive tried lots of different massage places around san marcos, and this one is the best. Got a full body massage, and not only did they intuitively know what areas of my body needed more attention, but she also stretched me out, which was a wonderful addition. It was one of the best massages Ive had.
My lady and I got a 60 minute couples massage for $90. The price included a hot stone treatment --and it was a legit 60 minutes. I always hate going to places where you pay for 60 minutes, and only get, at most, 50.I ended up with Tony. Tony was definitely not just out of massage therapy school. The most productive 60 minutes Ive had laying down. Hands down. They had what appeared to be balance bars mounted by the ceiling. I asked what they were for and one of the ladies said it is for when they walk on your back. Going to have to find out more on that. They didnt have it on their price list.Youre paying for skill and experience here; at an amazing price. That being said, the decor is nothing like youd get at one of the over priced Massage Envy type places that require memberships for discounted services. No walls with waterfalls or excessive use of wood and stone accents proving theyre more in tone with the Earth. Just really good massage therapists. The staff was very polite and helpful although their English could use a class or two at the local community college. We will be returning to this place.
An out if town guest had a massage. First it wasnt what was promised--no warm stones, no herbal oils. Second she was bullied into giving a bigger tip--more tip, pointed to receipt demanding $20. more. Your employee was standing between my friend and the door and she felt very intimidated. I will be taking this further. (You need an option for zero stars.)
I wish I had seen the negative Yelp reviews before going. I scheduled an appointment for a Swedish massage at 10:30AM and showed up on time. I was told to go away and come back in 20 minutes. This is despite them confirming that I had an appointment for 10:30. I had to wait in my hot car. I thought of cancelling but unfortunately I didnt. The person doing my massage didnt speak or understand English. The massage HURT badly and consisted mainly of crude digging with the elbows. When I tried to tell her to use less pressure, she just laughed and continued. I dont think she understood. I have had several massages at other places before. This person was clearly not well trained in massage and should not have been serving customers without the ability to communicate. I couldnt wait for the torture to be over. When I was leaving she demanded a tip. I gave her 10% and she said loudly, more!. I then gave her $10 on a short $50 massage and she looked dubious. I finally gave her $15 which is a very generous 30%! She was not happy and grudgingly accepted it. I left and will not go back. The massage was awful. The service was awful. The aggressive tip demand was UNACCEPTABLE for a business and a complete turnoff. The lack of appreciation for a 30% tip was contemptuous. Avoid this place despite its relatively low advertised prices (you pay a LOT more by tips) and just go to a better massage salon with better massage specialists who know how to run a business.
A had a great time at Miracle Massage. I had the combination massage that entailed feet and back. The price also includes head, arms, and hands, and the masseuse used warm towels and moisturizer. The service was wonderful and completely worth the price. I definitely recommend this place for feet or full body massage!
Its always been hit and miss with them. Last 2 times Ive gone in for a 1 hour foot massage. One time it was like amateur hour and my last visit she caused my lower back into spasms that night and following day. Im done with them. Good luck to you if you go in.
This place was great until they changed owners and doubled their prices:(
They have potential to be a good massage place. But their employees can be rude sometimes. There place is pretty neat and simple (which is good because its pretty clean). But I also hope regardless the therapist and customers wont understand each other, I hope the therapist dont get frustrated easily.I was telling him I needed him to focus on my feet because thats what I paid for foot reflex. Its ok not to have back or arms. But since he cant understand me he got so frustrated thatevery time I try to tell him he gets upset. Stops and asked me to lay back down and he still does his thing.I wish they have someone who can understand or if not maybe provide a paper with a drawing of the body which area u want. And also numbers with interpretations of how much softness or hardness u need in those areas.Thank u though for the experience NOT COMING BACK EVER!!! If I were u dont waste your money.
Ive come here many times now, and I always have a great experience! It is not as professional as some day spas, but my massages always feel amazing. They are attentive, good with pressure, and seem to find my pain-points without me even saying them.People say you get what you pay for, and you definitely do here, but in a good way! I think their prices perfectly match the service, and I am always happy to leave at least $10-15 after!
Walked in today asked for one hour, ($60) hot stone massage and mentioned their online discount $5.00 off if paid with cash. On the counter was a sign which read Hot Stone 50% off just $5.00. Price Should have been $60Yet the woman gave me only$35 back out of a $100 bill. When I asked why she said Only one special. The massage was mediocre at best. Mostly karate chopping and pounding on back. This used to be a decent place to get a massage. Not sure where they get their training but would not recommend coming here.
I love this place! Open later so I can go right to bed after. I loooove a really hard massage and I found it with the guys here! So so happy every time I come ! Just communicate with the gal up front because language barriers make it difficult to communicate in the massage room.Really basic style room but comfortable wide tables with just a simple single white sheet. Foot massages are traditionally additional, but if you get the hot stones added on, youll warm right up and also get some foot action. Fabulous price for 90 minutes! Thank you so much!
This is our go-to for the now-ubiquitous Asian style foot massage. Clean, skilled and responsive masseuses, competitive prices, no sleazy subscription plans... there are only 4 chairs for foot massages with the rest of the rooms being for full-body massages (have massage tables instead of recliners) but weve rarely had an issue getting in. Such an affordable indulgence.
Probably the best massage I’ve ever had. Anne did my full body massage with the hot stones included, I work out tons and was very sore with lots of knots, she worked on everywhere I had requested and was causing me pain, and the hot stones felt amazing. Was a full hour massage, the room was warm and clean (it was cold and raining so this was very much appreciated). She did an amazing job and I will most definitely be back.
Got an hour long foot massage from Jimmy. It was SO relaxing! Had never been here before, but was happy with the cleanliness of the room and the services I received. The hour foot massage actually gives you neck/shoulder work, plus arms, so it was super nice. I was a Massage Envy member for years and felt this was a better deal for the money.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Strangest and worst massage ever!! Dirty place, No clean sheets or warm blanket. The fellow I had did not speak English. They never asked about health/issues which I thought was a given. Never got to my arms, legs. Yes, worked on my back and then put COLD CREAM on my feet which was freezing. Instead of a warm clean blanket I had a skimpy covering which barely covered me. Was cold most of the time and the fellow left the room 4 times during the massage. I hope someone reads this before they jump into the deal they give.
I enjoy miracle massage ever time I go! My husband and I do the couple massage. I dont go anywhere else because its decently priced and relaxing!
It was cold. Not ready when I got there. Asked for soft to med pressure... It was so hard I am sore today. I asked her several times to ease up... Even holding up my finger, to show#1 in pressure, as I was beginning to realize she did not understand what I was asking. No soothing music and instead of eucalyptus, I smelled their lunch. I also felt the sheet was not clean.
Out my 23 years on this earth, Ive never been ask by the owner/manager to tip their employee. Well it happened here. And if you dont tip them, they start giving you attitude and all. Is better to just pay the extra money to get quality service. Remember you get what you pay for.
Paid in advance for a massage for my wife of $100 and I scheduled for her to use it today and they denied because they required a “yellow or pink card” when I never received it from them in the first place this is a two month gap so I can’t say who provided the coupon but this is just a scam and even worse customer service
2 hour combo massage. Excellent job and great price.
A very good massage. Clean spacious rooms. The reflexogly on feet is a must do. I prefer heated beds. It was a little chilly but other than that good massage.
I called and made an appointment for a friend and myself. Then, 45 minutes before our appointment I got a call asking if we could switch our appointment to 8:50pm because another client arrived late. Really? You’re going to inconvenience me because of someone else’s mistake? No thank you. I’ll take my business elsewhere.
Remember fellas you get what you pay for. The poeple cant even communicate with you, they only treat you nice if you give them thier $10 tip. Theyre just a cheap rub; not an actual massage place .
Absolutely love this place. Cindy, lee and ivy are amazing! I come here 2-3 times throughout the month and feel incredible when I leave.
We did a couples massage. Good service, great price, alleviated my pinched nerve. Will be back.
Worst massage I ever had. Went in with a little pain....its been a week and Im still sore. I feel worse than ever. She pounded my back!
The massage felt good and for a good price with the coupon that comes in the monthly coupon book. Would go again
Make sure you tip good or they will chase after you.
Very nice and professional staff. and they went the whole hour! would definitely recommend to others
