I visited Massage Envy for the first time tonight. What a wonderful experience. Greeted at the front desk by a whitty lady named Jaclyn. O came in for a 90 min facial the works! Adria was a gem we laughed and had a great conversation. I have never had such a relaxing time. She made the experience so easy. Definitely going back! I have been relaxed all evening!!Thanks for pampering me and being so kind!

Good luck in getting an appointment. They do not answer their phones and they dont return messages. You physically need to go in and make an appointment. However, they continue to solicit new business even though they have very few therapists!! They are constantly pushing their facials instead. Customer service is incredibly poor. They will cancel treatments a few hours in advance because they dont have staff. I asked specifically if I could transfer a treatment to friends/family, and was told yes. However, after the treatment, they inform you there is now a charge to do so. I would highly recommend you look elsewhere.

Therapist, Angela, was a no show. Receptionist said they didnt know where she was. Traveled an hour for the appointment and the only accommodation offered was to return the 90 minutes to my account. If the customer is a no show, they are still billed. Will not book another appointment with Angela nor this location.

The facial is lame. Great massage with Drew.Update.... tried to cancel a membership and use credits for massage... they booked me in but only after the expiration of credits. Now they would like $260 for two massages???I must agree with the other reviews... scammers. Why not just honor the credits?

The gal answering the phone on 1-22 around 11am was extremely rude, has an attitude, argumentative and doesnt belong answering phones. Your establishment messed up my appointment, not me and all she wanted to do was argue instead of trying to make it right and had the nerve to hang up on me. Ill be cancelling membership for this location and its affiliates and take my business elsewhere.

Massage therapists are good however you can never get an appointment scheduled. To the point where I have to try to schedule 2 to 3 months out and by that time I have accrued more massages than I can use. What is the point of having a monthly membership if you cannot use it monthly. Aside from the poor management they have raised my rates 3 times in the last few years and not once have I been notified of any increase coming. I am pretty sure there is some legal obligation to notify you of a price increase. I have been a massage envy member for many years but am looking to use up my credits and cancel because of the poor management and lack of response from the company to my complaints. Nothing changes.

The app requires you to select your pressure preference and only allows you to schedule with a massage therapist that offers the desired pressure. This location called last minute because the therapist that was selected didn’t do “deep tissue”. However, the app said he did.They call back a few minutes later stating that we had to pay for the hour because of the last minute cancellation…. We canceled because they couldn’t provide the services as advertised in their app!Been to a lot of massage envy locations in the past, this is the worst. They desperately need new management.

This place is the most unprofessional Massage Envy I have ever been to. Impossible to schedule an appointment yet they keep taking more customers. The staff up front is extremely rude. One staff member couldnt even be bothered to look up from their phone when walking in. The tipping point is I had an appointment scheduled and when I walked in the staff couldnt even find my appointment.

I was a member for 11 years and had great experiences for the first 10. Most of the good therapists have left because of poor treatment by the new owners/management. The remaining therapists are all looking for new jobs. It is almost impossible to get an appointment unless you book months in advance. I loved the place for years but finally had enough and am moving on.

Sandy Massage Envy merged with another store in Sandy. It has been a nightmare! You can NEVER get in! I was there for over a year. Message Therapist quit often and there is not enough to handle the clients. I ended up going to Sugar House. Much better service and better success keeping appointments!

I had a facial with Emily, and she seemed like a nice person; however, she used gloves while working on my face.The smell of latex, moisture, and heat made me so sick to my stomach. I washed my face a couple of times, and it’s hard to get the smell of latex out of my skin. Its sickening, and I would recommend that if your policy is to use the gloves, then you probably need to look into a different brand.

No appointments, raised the fees to 80.00 dollars, without notice. I have been trying to cancel my membership for a month. No one will talk me. All I have got is the run around. They took another $80.00 out of my account.

Just had an appointment scheduled with NATALIE. She was not only 15 minutes late. She is rude and stated. I am not a fixer I dont do deep tissue...not sure why they scheduled you with me! She was horrible, negative vib. Highly recommend you stay clear of her at this location. Awful attitude...walked out!

Massage Therapists are great and know what they are doing. Massage Envy as a company, however, has a very “strings attached” subscription service.My only advice, do NOT sign up for a subscription. $65/month is great until you realize you’re locked in and cannot cancel. Yes, it was my fault for not understanding this and not asking and/or reading but I still think it is very scummy.Try an independent Massage Therapist instead of Massage Envy. After dealing with management I can only assume how they treat their employees.

I put two stars due to in the beginning one person did put effort into trying to get me in sooner for my 60 minute prenatal massage knowing I was struggling with leg pain. But the actual appointment went terrible. You’ll receive a text message telling you to arrive 5 minutes early for paperwork and a temperature check(that never happened). My appointment was at 9pm I showed up early since I live around the corner anyway. Filled out the questionnaire on their tablet and was placed in a back waiting room, by this time it was 9:12pm since that’s when I text my husband I was waiting. When I was finally called I was taken to a back room where the therapist went over how I needed to lay for the prenatal massage and asked about specific areas I was wanting her to focus on. By this time it’s well past 9:20pm. She comes in and after a rough speedy massage she tells me once I get changed to meet her in the hallway. At this point it’s 9:57pm! I go to the hallway & she is nowhere to be found. I pay, leave and get home thinking that wasn’t right I left feeling uncomfortable about the whole thing. Even my receipt time was 10:00pm.. no way was that 60 mins. I call the next day to talk to them about it and I get told that it’s actually only 50 minutes of hands on… the other 10 minutes is for paperwork (why would I need to arrive early than?) getting undressed and dressed (LOL) which I didn’t even get 50 minutes either. I just get told that they are sorry that, that was my experience and they’d like me to try another massage therapist (pay again) but understand if I don’t want to come back. I called around to other places asking if that was normal and I was told it is not. I suggest never taking their last appointment of the day and know that when it says 60 min massage you’re not actually getting a massage for that long. I personally won’t come back and not recommending them.

I have a crazy work schedule so Ive seen a few different therapists there. Everyone is great at their jobs and makes you feel really comfortable. Its really convenient to have later appointment times and weekend appointments for people with non traditional schedules. The monthly subscription is a good deal, $60 a month for a 60 minute massage and discounted additional sessions.

Horrible customer service; they care only about making money and raising their rates.I was a member for years, until appointments were no longer available except for weeks out. I asked that they give a few of the 50 built up credits to other people and they said they would not except for 1 to a person every 6 months.no wonder they have a 3 star rating.

This location has pretty bad accommodations for being owned by franchise. My wife became member and scheduled online and went in and arranged baby sitter and the best they could do when her appointment didn’t exist somehow is reschedule her to 4:30 in another City. It would have been little better if they made accommodations in form of a complimentary massage to make up for lost money on baby sitter. I plan to share this experience with many people so corporate @massageenvy better wake up to how to train franchisees on how to handle problems with computer and scheduling fails. Not worth loosing customers and having bad reputation when all that was needed was some assurance that you cared about my wife’s time and sacrificed a little on your end for your mistake.

The owner is an absolute crook. I wish there was a zero star review. I was a member here and had many unused massages when I received a skin infection from a massage due to improper sanitation practices. PUBLIC HEALTH HAZARD! I requested a refund of my outstanding massages because I was not comfortable returning. After months attempting to contact the owner, my concerns were dismissed and I never received as much as an apology, much less a refund. Do no do business here.

Im so thankful for the Owner and Staff at Massage Envy in Sandy, Utah. When I first started getting massages I was in so much pain. I had tried many ways to manage my pain with not a lot of success, but after meeting Kim my massage therapist at Massage Envy and talking with her about my personal needs and what exactly I was hoping to accomplish through massage she was able to target my exact area of pain and work with me to customize a unique massage just for me. Going there is always a relief and a pleasant experience. The staff always cheerfully welcomes each person entering and helps get them checked in as quickly and professionally as possible. Finally I have found a way that significantly helps manage my pain and having a therapist and the owner who actually care sincerely that my experience is what was expected makes all the difference. So thank you so very much to everyone there at the Sandy location who have helped me in any way to improve my quality of life through massage.

I have been a member at Sandy Massage Envy for several years. Ive had a therapist whIo is great. Ive never no showed for an appt. or shown up late. A couple of weeks ago, I had a family problem to deal with and asked if I could change my appt to a different time, on the same day. I was told that since it was within 24 hrs. of my appt., Id have to pay a $50 change fee to see any therapist outside of my scheduled appt. I agreed to change may family plans and show up for the original appt. Several hours later, I got a voicemail message saying that my therapist had called in sick and my appt. was cancelled. There was no other appt. offered or any apology. I will not be going back to this business. Ive found a great therapist at another location, where it seems my business is appreciated!BH- Sandy Utah

Very frustrating to come to get a massage and have them make you sit outside when they have already taking your temperature at the door, youre wearing a mask and there is plenty of room to stay socially distance in their lobby as well as their quiet room. Very silly and I will not be back. Horrible customer service.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I am always greeted by name when I arrive, and they always make sure that I am taken care of. Yesterday, I arrived for my massage and was greeted by two lovely ladies, BOTH NAMED HANNAH! The Hannahs are two of my favorite girls to see at the front desk. They are so funny, and know so much about the place they work, and massage types. I will continue to be a member there for years to come. The massages are amazing, and the girls at the front are such a hoot!

Massage Envy is the worst business I have ever dealt with and I work in Health Care. Never in my life have I heard of a contract that requires you to make 12 Payments of $59.99 until you have paid them ALL whether you can afford it or not. Their business practice is horrible, and their policies are completely deceiving. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER OPTION. Most awful experience of my life dealing with these people.

They are trying to bait us away from transferring our credit to another member and then cancelling. Once they heard the word cancel they claimed that they don’t understand the full policy and that we have to wait for the manager to call back in two days. That’s a lie. Makes us want to cancel more than ever. We will be reaching out to corporate to report the practices at this location.

I asked them why no one ever answers the phone and they said because they are short staffed? Well there were 2 of them just sitting there doing nothing that day. It’s a joke

As others have said, the customer service is terrible. They charged us for a month while they were closed and we couldn’t even use our membership. And completely refused to work with us in any way. No refund, no extra month to use the credit. Nothing. Shameful to steal people’s money at a time like this.
