Moondoggies is a wonder. Great COLD draft beer!. The bartenders know who you are and if it is your first time,,, they will ask your name, who else goes there!? Open early, while I have never been open at 7 AM. A former 7-11 owner… just saying. Smoke to your hearts content because they don’t serve food.

Stop in all the time at both Zuzu’s and Moondoggys. Bartender Phil is a great server and always remember was exactly what we’re drinking.

This place rules supreme. The food is fresh and plentiful you will never leave hungry. The service is fantastic and I have also have been here many times with my family and plan to return ASAP.

Great neighborhood bar. Good prices. Open air space with air conditioning. Free peanuts and popcorn and some very friendly regulars. Bartender Tiffany shines as a tender and person.

Zuzus is my absolute favorite place in Sarasota, Phil is a fantastic bartender & really makes you feel valued. Couldn’t recommend this bar enough!

I went in and ask the bartender to fill my hyrdroflask tumbler. She took my cup and looked hastily at me filled it half way. I asked her if she could fill it all the way up she said SERIOUSLY, in a hasty way. She then said go buy a bottle of water next time. As she was filling up my cup. I told her I was going to give you cash for doing me a service since I am not stopping for food.. and you were doing me a service. And she proceeded to shout Thank you as I was walking away with my water… it was my first time in this establishment and was disappointed to the point I won’t give it a second try.

His place is great. As a Chiefs fan, I respect #Billsmafia. Beers cold! Nice atmosphere!

Stripper pole, over 50 blue collar bar smoking.Bartenders were attentive prices were reasonable. But, smoking kills it for me.But, had all the football games on for viewing. And free snacks: peanuts & hotdogs. This is a Buffalo bar so... Now you know

Women be warned GO AT YOUR OWN RISK! My wife went here for a fun night out and was roofied. Her symptoms were unmistakable. Come to find out, according to a bartender working there, they caught the person drugging drinks just recently and let him go. He must have returned and attempted this again. The owner of bar dismissed our situation and refused to check the cameras. The owner was shown proof that their bartender knew about the perpetrators previous attempt but the owner still refused to take any action. We didnt file a police report although we should have as we simply want to move forward with our lives. A warning for any woman going to this bar please be very careful and do not leave your drink unattended.

I went to this pub twice. The first time I walked on, sat down, both women looked at me and turned away. I waited a good 15 minutes before they even acknowledged me enough to ask what I would like to order. I only ordered a cola as I would be driving a long distance; I met a couple of other patrons who were friendly. However, the bartenders, while very friendly with everyone else, barely paid me any mind at all. Never once asked me if I wanted a refill. I was there for several hours. Never came over for any conversation.I hoped it was a fluke, so I went a second time, this time I ordered a draft. But even that time, I waited a good 20 minutes before they came over to ask what O would like and then further ignored me.My husband works in the area and we are planning to move yo the area. I generally love small pubs like this, and was looking for a place that we might go to to have a beer or 2 and socialize. But I will NEVER return to this pub.As 40+yrs hospitality and customer service veteran, it was the worst service I have ever encountered.

Great locals tavern. Mark, the owner, is always around and very welcoming and friendly. Lynn was bartending and doing a fantastic job! Fresh popcorn 🍿 is fantastic!

This is a great bar with amazing bartenders like Phil and Pablo. I had not been in for a while but was surprised to see an unethical business practice taking place. To charge .85 to pay by cc without disclosing such a fee (Luke admitted it’s not disclosed) is against state law. Complaint filed with attorney general and BBB. 5 stars when owner fixes this deceptive practice. Let’s get things back to the good old days!

What a fantastic place to have a fun time watching your favorite football team and the Buffalo Bills. Tommy and Diana did a fantastic job! Very attentive to all the customers sitting at the bar and all of the tables in front of the bar. We really enjoyed our time. Some guy w Bull horn running around. Lol. Very nice Buffet. Alot of fun!!! Debbie nice also!

I had a good time with my wife here. The service from Miss Lynn was awesome, she made great cocktails and served quick beers. My only complaint, or advice would be, dont waste money on the jukebox. The owner of the bar will skip any song he doesnt like to play what he likes, like hes the personal Dj of the bar. This really killed my vibe despite the great bar service.

Best of the new bars in GG. This place has a great atmosphere, great drinks, and lots of TVs for sports! The bartender Phil, who works both sides, moondoggys and Zuzus, is fantastic. Knows everything there is to know about gulf gate, has an awesome lively personality, and just keeps you laughing! Check this place out! And definitely ask for Phil, THE BEST!

First time in, and new to the area. Lucky to get served 1 beer in 40 minutes. Tried to cash out for another 20 minutes. No luck. Put a $5 bill on the bar to cover my $3 beer and tip and told the regular couple next to me to make sure she got it. Then, in the next couple of days, the bar runs my card for a drink!!! Never will I ever go back. 1 beer, 1 hour, 8 bucks, not my kind of place to drink.

This place is amazing! Such a great atmosphere and the staff is super friendly and provide great service. They have the CLEANEST BATHROOMS EVER! The best part is they were open at 7:00 AM! Best way to start out day drinking!

Bartenders said the owner doesn’t let them put sports on the TVs behind the bar because he wants to set a vibe. So you have to sit and watch surfing or ocean YouTube videos on repeat. There are better places to spend your money in Gulf Gate Village.

Last two times going here in last week I was able to eat a tray of free peanuts. And never once asked by multiple bartenders if I wanted a drink. Before this I considered myself a regular.

The blond girl behind the bar took our order and then never brought our drinks. We waited over 15 minutes for 2 Bloody Mary’s and 2 waters. She was to busy dancing for the guys. Never checked on us again.

I use to like going here... but now there is no drink menu to look at and the bar tender told me if i go to a bar i should already know what i want. He was rude and i felt dismissed.
