I had the pleasure of being served by Erica. It is a great dive bar. The happy hour special is no longer a bogo, but gets you smashed for FAR LESS than the surrounding establishments. As someone who is younger, I got to enjoy an atmosphere that is not typically seen in the midwest since Ive turned 21. It feels like it is straight out of the 80s or 90s, authentictically. Nice pools tables.

A little local dive. There’s smoking inside, so not a good place for non-smokers as you will leave smelling like an ashtray. BUT, the service is always fantastic. Everyone is treated like family. They have great karaoke. This is a popular place for pool tables. They have a pool league.

Im really only just reviewing this so it stops popping up in my mentions. There is a laundromat right beside it which I go to all the time so I guess Google thinks Im an alcoholic or something. But Ill give it 4 stars just cause I assume its a good place to buy alcohol. I bet they serve Mules here. I like Mules. So it gets points for that

I was actually at the Laundromat next to that place the groggy shop.its a old place not much of a selection. My suggestion is if you want to go to a good liquor shop right across the street of 17th in that market behind AutoZone is a place called holiday liquor what a place they have everything you need go visit and youll see what I mean.

This was my first time here and I had a blast. I did karaoke. The vibe was real nice andthe people were cool. A real nice adult atmosphere. There are 3 pool tables. I think .75 cents a game. Mixed crowd no problems one mission unwind and have a nice time. Check it out if youre ever in the area Saturday night karaoke.

Its a dive bar that shares a plaza with a liquor store and a coin laundry mat. The only things missing are a vape shop and an Arcade. It took about 15 minutes to get acknowledged at the bar. I wanted a draft beer but the keg was out. I ordered whiskey which is measured out to the 10th of a drop by some gooned up electronic pouring device that must have come from Canada. They serve food in a smoking bar, not sure how they get past that regulation. They have 3 7ft Diamond tables in there that they dont have adequate room for. 3 times in 3 racks an obstruction prevented me from taking a proper shot. If there is a worse dive bar in Sarasota I hope I never go there!

Absolutely love their patty melt burger. They caramelize the onions for hours and they are incredible! Pair with air fryer french fries for a tasty treat! Stay for some pool, some karaoke or giant Jenga 😀

The only downside for me was its a smoking bar. But I knew what I was getting into. I love the bartenders. LOVE THE DJ. And enjoy the regulars. Very tight community and a very open dive bar. Lots of pool tables and always something going on

Fun friendly place...laid back...get your laundry done while you have a few beers...

Rendezvous is well staffed pleasant and competent bartenders. They almost nightly have karaoke or poker games or a joinable pool league. This bar has a local feel and local love.

Came in out of town for the karaoke and its definitely a local bar, but everyone was so friendly! Loved the DJ who ran karaoke, he also has a great voice! Theres local talent for sure too! I had a blast watching people here sing and dance!! Friendly staff with a warm atmosphere in general. The even have pool tables and arcade machines for those who need a different distraction.

This place was iconic. I have so many fond memories of karaoke, dart nights, home-made pot-luck compliments to the staff Moms and regular guests for SuperBowl, perfectly concocted jello shots, making tons of friends, or even just catching up with the locals while my laundry is in the wash next door. Its my understanding that they couldnt stay open because they didnt get a license to prepare food in time. I bet if they could get a smoker set up in the back of the building they could serve some delicious pulled pork bbq.

I found this Bar way to smokey.Dart game going on during pool leagues, too crowded and I saw a very young boy approx. 12 yrs. Old playing on the dart league 7 to 9:30 pm. Bar and kids dont mix that late. School night. The kid wasnt to impressed.I wouldnt go in there again.

This bar might me shoved in a hidden corner, but the culture there is great. Patrons from all over & has the local crowd that makes it feel safe. The bar is great. The ladies there do a wonderful job! Gail is awesome, shes the tall beatiful red head. Shes very sweet & shes always checking on you. I never had an empty beer longer than a minute! The karaoke on Saturday is really fun too!! You should check it out of you are looking for the Sarasota version of Cheers.

We were there on a Tuesday night and they had both karaoke and trivia! The staff was efficient and very friendly. We had an amazing night and felt very welcome.

Extremely friendly local service. They have value if thats what your looking for example I picked up a real good bottle of vodka 1.75 for about 17 bucks that drank like something two to three times that. Also if you need it they have the high end stuff but you will pay a slight premium for quick local shopping on things like Soda and mixers. Again though the service is super friendly and they take all credit cards as well as providing full lottery services. Other pluses are they have Cigar City beer and they also carry air plane size bottles.

Awesome people and staff. Was in town visiting and was made to feel at home. Great drive bar experience.

The staff definitely makes this bar. If you like the hole in the wall atmosphere then you will like this place. A little on the smokey side for those that dont like to smoke. Other than that I enjoy my time when I go.

Good bar, nice crowd, but if your not a regular, good luck getting a drink or cashing out. Im talking 25-30 minutes after your drink is done and several attempts to get bartenders attention. Twice I actually ordered with the bartender, and was never served, then another 35 minutes to cash out after asking for a third time. Stopped going here for exactly the same reason 3 years ago, absolutely nothing has changed.Update: My girlfriend needed to use the Laundromat next door last Sunday. I went in to have a drink, the bar was busy and the service was prompt and friendly this time. I guess it comes down to the bartender working adding 1 star.

This is the only place left on Earth that still has those freaking Electronic measuring devices on every single shot. Not only that but shots are $7 each before taxes. Youll never get any extra poured on top of your drink or given to you as a repeat customer or a good tipper. Avoid this place like the plague

Awesome and very welcoming, I had a hard day at work and just wanted one drink, I ended up staying for karaoke and to talk to the awesome bartenders, they made my Saturday! 💜

Racist!! I am very disappointed 😞 the lady was rude and mean. She shouldnt be there. I come from Tennessee and ... I am sorry but I wont come back there. The Dj is nice. Bit she is the worst person I met in Saratosa.

A complete dumpster. Rude customers ALL AROUND. Way too expensive for a bar located in the ghetto. They own the liquor store next door and that place is WAYYYYY over-priced. Only thing notable is that the owner ( I think ) has a hotdog stand outside the bar every once in a while.

Its a smoky dive bar, but drinks are dirt cheap, staff is super cool and two of my favorite things happen on Tues and Sat nights- poker and Karaoke. The poker is thru the No Limit poker league. Its a points league, people play to win bar tabs, and as they accumulate points, they can win poker bracelets, bahamas cruises, and entries into the World Series of Poker. Dealers work for tips only. The games are free to play, but most players tip around $10 per game.The karaoke brings out some great singers.

I enjoyed my visit! The bar-maid marvelous! Some of the clientele were less than savory, but thats to be expected. On a Wednesday. In the morning. In Florida.

Cheap drinks, mostly cool people. The main. Bartender chick is cool. Although as a female I wouldnt leave your drink unattended. You might just get drugged.

You got to be in the right state of mind for Rendezvous. It is a REAL dive bar. This bar is the biggest switch of gears from just about anything else in SRQ.If you feel comfortable with the blue collar crowd this is your place.Real people trying to navigate through life are here. Some come to blow off steam, some self medicate and others just come to relax.If you want to take the pulse of the working man/woman this is your place.The dark reality and beautiful persistence of America on display daily.

Great jukebox sound system, TVs, lower lighting, darts, few pool tables, and bartenders are cool. A little area that I think is machine poker or some games but Im not positive on that one.laundromat and carry out liquor store

Helen, the bartender is not only rude, but certainly unfit for the hospitality industry. I live walking distance and still will not be back. F for fail. The 57 is a much more suitable bar

Gina the daytime bartender does shots thourout her shift and is always too busy to get someone a drink. The place is great when shes not there. Give the place a chance at night.

The New Bartenders are rude, forgetful, and unprofessional! I left on the road for a few months and when i went to the bar on friday night, like i would usually do when i am in sarasota, became dissapointed in the service and judgemental looks i received from the New Female Bartender.

My wife, I and my best friend who recently passed away always came here on a Friday night and just let loose! This is a place I will remember forever thank you for the memories rendezvous

Rendezvous Lounge is a great spot for pool, karaoke and a late night cocktail. Recently remodeled, its much more inviting for the locals and out-of-towners.

Little dive bar but good people cold beer and great atmosphere Erika the bartender is amazing. Go here youll have a good time

Imagine a place so filled with cigarette smoke that you will need at least an hour long shower to clean the disgusting smell off of your body and out of your hair. Now imagine vomit stained carpet, and gangs of shady characters who might shank you in the bathroom or parking lot. I play on a pool league and will now make sure that i am sick every time our match is at this place. The service is always poor. On a positive note the jukebox is cheap and you can do a load of laundry next door while you have a drink.

The bar tender was very rude. 57 Tavern across the street was WAY better. And the drinks are cheaper.
