I went here a year ago and it was not at all what I expected. The design and layout is dark and spooky, but the music playing was hip hop, 2000s pop, and modern, with the music matching a similar crowd of patrons. I felt totally out of place expecting that it was a gothic nightclub. Why not try taking a single night out of the month to host for the gothic, industrial, ebm, and post punk crowd in such a fitting establishment?
It was great! Come in to see tampons fly and celebrities like Alaia Baldwin fight security. Best dinner and show in town. Hands down.
Last night I was out at Crypt with two friends. We sat our stuff on one of the bench things right next to the DJ booth, and we were dancing in front of it. In the meantime, someone took our stuff. My friend went outside and told the guy who was working security out front- Zach. Zach noticed that a guy that had just left had two Fanny packs (which is what was taken + my phone). Because of, and ONLY because of, him paying attention, he was able to locate the guy and girl and get our stuff back. I want to give a HUGE shoutout and thank you to Zach. Thank you for doing your job well and in doing so, getting my stuff back. Also thank you to the General Manager for immediately starting to rewind the cameras and try to help me login to my Find My iPhone. All of the staff was so helpful and did their job so well and with pride (Nick, Unc/Sug who was actually off but helped so much too, and the DJ).
Went on Jan 13 and the bouncer wouldn’t let me in, which wouldn’t have been a problem if he hadn’t been so rude. He insinuated I was carrying a fake and couldn’t accept my ID. Kept talking down to me like I was some kind of moron before tossing it down on the table. Really disrespectful.
Spencer is so attentive, every time I went to the bar he immediately came up to me to make sure I got the best drink per my request. He made sure my party was accounted for and made sure they were served in a timely manner either the best drink possible. Highly recommend this bar. Viv was amazing as well.
We were so lucky to find this gem while visiting Savannah! The vibe and people where so much fun. It was the absolute best place to celebrate our bachelorettes special night out. It will always remain one of our most memorable nights. We will be back!!
Andrew was the best bartender I’ve ever had, he was super attentive and never made us wait for anything. He made our shots and drinks quickly while still serving the rest of the bar was not left waiting for a long time. Super friendly and made me want to come back to this specific bar for a good time.
Went for my birthday and absolutely loved it! The decorations were amazing. It was packed, but it was after midnight on a Saturday. I got to the bar with relative ease, but finding a place to sit was a little tricky. Asked for a sweet drink, got a great drink that was really strong and cheaper than most drinks at a restaurant. The music was a little weird, but was really fun to dance to! Definitely going to come here next time Im in Savannah.
Great staff, great music, great atmosphere and all around great place to come out and have a good time. Staff is super friendly. The bartenders serve top notch drinks, DJs throwing down the best jams, and the security staff making sure it’s a safe place to let loose. Overall a must see place to go to on a Friday or Saturday night out the town!
I walked into the Crypt and was immediately transported into a place where I didn’t want to leave. The DJ was bomb and the vibe was something I won’t forget. This is a must visit place while in Savannah. Dancing, drinks, and more. Loved it. Truly a surprise at every turn.
New to Savannah and quickly discovered Crypt as my go to spot on Thursday nights! The drinks are cheap and the staff is amazing! If you’re looking a fun spot to go with friends on a Thursday night or by yourself(no judgement) look no further!
Was there this past weekend for a pub crawl -Wouldn’t recommend this stop-To the bar tender- when someone orders one of the drinks off the pub crawl website that is probably the one they are ordering- BUD LIGHT draft was supposed to be $3 as part of the crawl- , she hands me a bud light bottle and charged me way more than $3 and then acted annoyed when I wanted a receipt.Bad service.
The vibe is legit. Love the moving portraits. The security staff is awesome and super respectful and always willing to help. Bartends are nice and make excellent drinks.
My boyfriend and I, who both tend bar for a living, stopped here for a drink while bar hopping on Friday the 13th in Savannah. It seemed fitting because the advertising outside suggested the bar was having an epic party for Friday the 13th. We made up two of the 10 patrons but it was early in the night. I noticed one of the featured drink specials was something called a Hand Grenade. I asked the bartender the ingredients to which she replied, ummmm vodka.... ummmm raspberry.... i think there might be some grenadine. I decided I probably shouldnt order the specialty feature drink since the bartender had no idea how to make it. Instead, I specifically ordered a Baby Guiness on the rocks. This confused the young girl because most people order it as a shot. About this time a group of 6 left the bar--down to 4. She placed our drinks on the bar and walked around to the other side, sat on a bar stool beside two other employees, all of which were playing with their phones, leaving no person behind the bar. Our bartender remained there for the rest of our short stay. At least we had the pleasure of viewing the Direct TV logo bouncing around a vacant screen. My boyfriend and I both felt as if we inconvenienced this girl by ordering drinks. A monkey could see that the nearly empty bar was a direct reflection of her attitude and complete disregard for customer service. She seemed inexperienced but engaging your customers in conversation is just basic. While the appearance and decor were interesting, there are several bars within walking distance which offer better service. We couldnt get out of there fast enough probably because we didnt have our bartenders number to text that we were ready for our check.
Crypt is a breath of fresh air to the Savannah night life. We needed a new place and this is it. Thursday nights we’re getting dull in the downtown scene but Crypt is hands down the best new spot for Thursday nights!
Love going here, Bar staff is always Friendly and Fast and the Music they play is always top notch, Def a must if your out and about in Savannah.
This is the worst goth bar Ive ever been too. Has the aesthetic, but ended up being full of basic bachelorettes listening to pop music.
We walked in and someone inappropriately touched my friend so we walked out immediately. As we were walking out the bartender THREW ICE AT US. That is insanely rude and uncalled for.
Great time at this bar. Awesome DJ/music selection. Friendly staff and quick service. Always a fun time for parties.
Frisking at the door, rude staff and no southern hospitality at all. Nothing like real Savannah at all. Stay away.
Great customer service. All employees were amazing especially Spencer. He was more then helpful ! Highly recommend this place
Great service and good drinks served by Andrew!! Never fails.
Overly expensive drinks. Not worth it, don’t waste your time or money here.
What a joke of a club? Too much attitude for not enough purpose.
Really a terrible place. Bad food, music and service. Dont know how this place stays in business. Must not really need revenue.
Best spot in town for Thursday nights!
Full of girls. Serious two dudes in here. This is amazing tonight!!!!
Excellent. Excellent atention.
