She is fantastic, I have become a repeat customer. She arrives to do her best always. She lost one of her employees recently so shes been even busier so its harder to get in now. I will keep trying!

Truly not shocked to see that Summer’s reviews are mostly 5’s and 1’s, with little in between. Let me explain.I was excited to have found someone who spoke my native language and was also knowledgeable on bodywork as I suffer from severe fibromyalgia.Within a 2 weeks span, I booked a total of 5 massages. A 60, 60, 90, 90, and a 90min. By the 4th visit, I had happily handed over $500 in total for her wonderful services.On the fifth visit, which was another 90mins, I had a lot on my mind and accidentally goofed on the time. When Summer called asking about my whereabouts, I sincerely apologized for my confusion on time but I was on my way. I confirmed if we were still good for a 60 and while she seemed peeved in her voice, she reluctantly said yes.When I arrived, Summer proceeds to reprimand me AGAIIN on the time we discussed and what time I arrived. I already felt horrible and was even mad at myself for having made this mistake because my body needs the 90. But I bit my tongue and in a soft voice apologized to her again and explained I had a lot on my mind.I get the room, and before I had a chance to change, she follows me in and proceeds to reprimand me on how this 30 mins late affects her ability to have potentially taken another customer. As a business owner myself, I am in complete understanding of this and had already mentally prepared to pay and tip on the full 90.However I was completely insulted by her aggressiveness esp given I had just met her 2 weeks ago and this was my 5th visit. I finally snapped and said what more do you want me to do, I’ve apologized now 3 times and I can tell you are just concerned with your loss of $50 which I can give you!I would have typically walked out by now but I was desperate. It was apparent she was upset as she made a scene by walking into the room loudly, throwing stuff as to make a louder noise, all of which were super unprofessional if you still had plans of continuing with your services.We typically chat but this time there was none of that which I actually didn’t mind. I forgot what a massage was like when you just turn off the mind and relax. About halfway thought the massage, I noticed she was on one side primarily of the time and it was my other side that was hurting more. So I politely said will you please work on this side, as well as pointing to direct. She doesn’t say anything. I repeat myself. No word. I say, hello… are you there? No word. Fourth time, are you not going to say anything? No word! I was floored.I got up from the table and said this is ridiculous…. If you commit to give me a massage, then you should still be respectful and give me what I need.Then she finally spoke up and yelled at me, saying… I am not going to speak bc you yelled at me earlier about the $50. I said, yes bc I tried apologizing three times and you could not accept it. You thought it was important to school me on the client you could have taken and the money lost due to my error. I told her, who has gone to you Already now five times in two weeks? I would have been your best customer. I own a fitness studio not far. I was already bragging about her. Now, not only will I not go back, I will make sure everyone I know never step foot into that place.I don’t deny that she’s good at what she does. If you want a great massage, go to her. But just don’t ever make a mistake bc she will cut your throat. Her reviews tell a very clear picture of who is she. She is awesome until she is not.I’m sure she will try to come back and defend herself, but I have never felt more insulted as a customer. Maybe this was your wake up call. Yes, I threw $50 on the ground on my way out for the 30 mins and I am not proud of my behavior. It is very distasteful. But parts of me doesn’t even think she deserves the money for such an unpleasant experience!Summer needs to learn how to not attack her customers and when to let things go especially when they apologize THREE times and they were about the spend $650 with you in 2 weeks!!

The masseuse was rude and threw my credit card back AT me when I asked her to wait to charge the service fee and (pre requested tip amount of $20) after the service was completed. I am an immigrant and small business owner and I understand cultural struggles but the rudeness and disrespect I felt was beyond what I have experienced in my 40 years in the United States. We all have our struggles, but please lead with respect.

Had an amazing massage session with Summer, who expertly targeted and relieved my upper back issues. Her focus on problem areas was precisely what I needed. Left feeling rejuvenated and will definitely return. Highly recommend

First off,This lady has a very thick Asian accent so its really hard to make an appointment. I couldnt understand anything she said and Im Filipino..Second, thats how I knew it was going to be a good massage! Good Asian food & massages are better when they barely speak English & have bad customer service lolI had to call a few times to get an appointment.I noticed she doesnt like to make appointments in advance, I got an appointment the day of.I go to the chiropractor every month, but my back still aches, so my chiropractor actually recommended getting massages.I had the combo massage for an hour at $80 & it felt way longer than an hour! Assumed this was half Thai & regular massage, which was great because last Thai massage I had elsewhere was SO PAINFUL.She started by standing on my back and dug her toes in & cracked my back in 4 different places! Thats when I knew it was gonna be good! She cracked me in places I didnt even know could be cracked!She asked if I liked it hard in the beginning, so if you dont like it hard just let her know.I like it hard and this was almost perfect.. Thai massages I just assume are slightly more hard so I expected it to be, but wasnt overbearing.I mustve had a tight right shoulder because she was massaging that area a lot & was relentless until it loosened up.She does full body front & back.She even cracked my neck & sides like my chiropractor does.It was an overall great massage.I actually plan on making this my massage place now. Will be coming back every other month for this massage!Heads up, she does answer the phone during massages which ruined the zen but didnt bother me as much. Also felt bad because the person on the phone couldnt understand her thick accent.She was like yelling see you at 6 pm!I assume she looses some clients over this..If you have a bad back, I think Thai massages is the only thing that works.I spent around $130 for a Himalayan rock massage at another place & it was terrible. They just rubbed the rock on my body for an hour & did not touch me once! So hole in the wall Asian places is much better than the boujee massage parlors I been to.

I had a wonderful experience with Summer. I asked her to focus on my neck and shoulders and that’s exactly what she did. Really therapeutic. I hope to come back!

My lower back and left hip was aching every day. I went to see the massage therapist and she explained to me how important my posture is and how to stand with my shoulders back and my head up tp evenly distribute my body weight and not lean on one side. She mentioned my posture was likely part of the issue. She did more than massage, she was stretching my thighs and moving my legs to stretch and loosen my lower back. Now my left hip feels better and doesn’t hurt like it has in the past. I highly recommend trying the traditional Chinese massage. Definitely worth it very happy with the resultsA A. A +++

I had a real problem with my migraine, and the traditional Chinese massages in Schaumburg helped my pain a great deal. I tried a lot of places, but this one is so far the right one, ever! I will not do chemicals in the form of drugs. I did a lot of research, and the Chinese Tui-Na seems so far the best for me what is out there. I could not believe their level of sophistication and quality. Again, to state, this is not for everybody if you search thrills, not them! If you seek long term solution for your pains and ailments, this is them. I do not want these migraines anymore to paralyze me. I need answers, and I found this with them. If you wish for a long term way to manage your pain, it is them!Thank you, Summer, for all the help and relief of my pain. I am glad to have finally found you and have a solution to get rid of my pain. I can not tell you how much that means to me. If I could give you ten Stars, I would. Next time we have to work on my neck again. You know what I mean.

The massages here are exceptionally great. I never got the massage therapists name, but she apply strong pressure, is able to get all my knots out, and has amazing technique. They offer tuina and Thai massage. Both of which are great. I highly recommend anyone in need of a massage to come here. Its not like the weak massages you get at hand and stone either. Staff are very kind and its easy to schedule your appointments.

Summer is so nice. She did a great massage! I woke up with stiff neck, back and was in pain so was looking for someone to help right away. She took me within 20 min of my call. Her massage was not only relaxing but such a relief. I am able to move with no pain and it feels great. Highly recommend and will definitely come back.

I have been coming here for 4 years and All I can say is Wow !!! And look no further For the best massage Leah is the best she has been very instrumental with my chronic back pain and shoulder pain. She pays attention to detail and very hard working. I always leave there feeling like a million bucks Not an easy job to do day in and day out so pleasedont forget to tip for the service.. Chinese traditional massage is fantastic place to go if you have chronic back pain or just want a great massage. My therapist Summer knew exactly how to treat my lower back pain and does a great job of asking about any reoccurring issues I might have. I highly recommend Her and her staff who are very professional about their job and the work they perform.

Summer is amazing. I got to this place once a month, summer really cares for her clients, she identifies pain points and makes sure they are addressed. I love the back walking and the way she works out the knots. I never went to another mausser after getting used to massages from Summer.Please keep up the good work!!

I have seen Summer for over 10 years! Summer is super knowledgeable on whole body mechanism. She has magic hands! In my opinion no chiropractor, nor no orthopedic has helped me with my injuries compared to Summer. I can not go one full month without seeing her.

We reserved for two people for a massage. We came in 5 mins late (and had informed them that we will be late). The lady said okay. When we reached, the lady had already taken in a random customer during our time and said now she can do massage only for one person. And then she started yelling on us!! Havent seen a more unprofessional staff until now.Update: The staff replied that they have the right to label us as a No show even when we were 5 minutes late (or in their clock, 15 minutes late). What I cant understand is why would they say okay on the call when we had especially called them saying that we will be late? We drove 50 minutes especially for the massage place. We could have just not come at the first place if the lady would have said a NO on the call. And labeling a No show is still fine, but seriously, YELLING at your customers?? I have read several reviews mentioning a similar rude behavior. This is not how you treat your customers!!! Please learn some communication and soft skills!Oh, and thanks for first time responding to a negative review!

My neck was hurting so bad and the lady was very good at massaging my neck and shoulders, followed my neck pain all the way to my arm. My pain was totally relieved from the pressure points massage and after this I was able to sleep better. I have since been coming back once a month to get a massage and I have to say she is the very best masseuse ever. Thank you for helping me with my neck pain AAA+

Super professional massage. Ive been seeing the chiropractor and after leaving here today I felt like its what I truly needed to fix my current injury. If I lived in town I would definitely make it my go to spot.I think Leah was my therapist and worth every dollar. I tipped 25% in case youre unsure what to tip. Just wanted to say thank you for doing a great job.

I moved to the area and was looking for a good masseuse. I called this place and was treated as if I were bothering the woman who answered the phone. I asked her about adding on the cupping to the end of the massage because I have never tried it. She said if I added the cupping it would make my massage time shorter. What? I pay for the full 90 minutes but then you shorten the time I paid for by at least 20 minutes to perform the cupping that I paid additional for? She started screaming at me to the point that I couldnt understand her. Im sure clients there could hear her. I figured maybe I called on a bad day, so I walked in one evening a little more than 2 hours before their posted closing time. I asked for a 60 minute massage. I was told nobody called to book so shes going home now and cant take anyone too close to closing. Over 2 hours is close to closing? So...I found Renew You Spa in Schaumburg that offers Chinese authentic, traditional massages for half the cost and they treat you with dignity. Renew you is willing to customize treatments based on your needs, their facility is clean, comfortable, and welcoming with great prices, and they honor their own business hours. I CANNOT say any of that for this place. The several local foot spas are higher caliber than this joke of a place.

Ive been to other places for massages before, but I really feel that here at the Chinese Traditional Massages Ive received a REAL massage experience for the first time. Summer is truly a professional massage therapist and an expert in her field. She is friendly, welcoming and listens to your concerns and preferences. My back, neck and shoulders were stiff and now afterwards I no longer have tension in those areas. The whole experience was pleasant and relaxing. The staff are TRULY outstanding at what they do.Im DEFINITELY planning on coming back. Actually, I cant wait for my next session, as Ive already scheduled my appointment! Give it a try, you will be AMAZED!!!

I have tried multiple times to book an appointment here, the lady is so rude and says you have to book it the day of but then doesn’t answer the phones in the morning! and then she blocked my number! Hire more help to answer your phones, make a website to book an appointment, or shut down if you don’t want to serve your customers! ridiculous.

Great place for a relaxing massage. For years this has been my go to whenever I am in town. You are guaranteed the full time requested and leave with the satisfaction that your aches and pains have been fully attended to.I highly recommend this place for those in need of a good knead.

I made my appointment online 2 days early. It said you got free services with a 60 minute massage. I arrived a few minutes early and the lady working was surprised. Didnt realize I was scheduled. She finished the massage she was doing and started on me. She had the phone on her and it rang 2x that she answered and spoke to other customers during my massage. At some point, she left the room and another person took over. I didnt get the free item mentioned, and felt rushed out at the end of my massage. It certainly helped the body problems I was having, but was not the relaxing therapy I was expecting. I doubt I go back.Edit****I answered a question referencing this place, and I glanced at the newest reviews. I find it interesting that all the good reviews are acknowledged, yet I have not been contacted to try to make me happy. That gives you more insight to the customer service here. Also, lol, go read Cinnamons reviews, she has already found a different massage place, even though she swore this place was the best ever.

I went yesterday, January 20, 2021 at 3 pm, perhaps you do not recognize me as a client because it is only the second time I have enjoyed a massage with you, both the same 60-minute level II massage, I recognize that with the tuina massage it is one of the best that they have given me, I am satisfied, I think they know they are very good therapists, congratulations! I can not fail to mention that I have taken the time to read the reviews that gave 1 or 2 stars and I understand that they complain about customer service over the phone because I also had a bad experience and I advise that even if people do not know your policies in a proper call and avoid a tiptoeing as you call it, under no circumstances or excuse should you be rude to the caller if it seems like a joke it is better to hang up (you hung up the phone on me) but do not be rude to those who try being a client is unacceptable, (you yelled to me) even so I went to my massage because of how much I enjoyed the first massage they gave me, in my first time, you really need a better customer service on the phone so that they stop complaining for this reason customers, maybe someone more tolerant.I pride myself on being a person with emotional intelligence and I preferred my good massage to allowing the telephone operator to spoil my massage, but you will not have the same fate with most clients.

Read several negative reviews which is quite perplexing to me. I received massage in Europe, Asia, Mexico and I thought I will never find anyone as good as the one I had in Asia but was thrilled to experience the etraordinary talent by Summer. You dont have to tell her where youre hurting she feels it and works on It u til its better. When I had a frozen shoulder, I wasnt aware that I had one until she pointed out to me. She was a. part of the healing process. So summers,thank you for such great service.

Summer is awesome! I go there once a month, more of a healing session than a massage appointment in my opinion. I bike a lot and lift weights so something is always bothering me (back, legs, shoulders, etc),. Summer always heals the problem.

I booked a 2 hour appointment and walked out of there feeling super relaxed! Summer did a head massage, foot massage, full body massage, and cupping therapy. She is an amazing professional, knows exactly where to focus on, and found all the pesky knots that were causing me discomfort.It is hands down the best experience I have ever had, and I will be back on a monthly basis. I havent had a headache since, and my back still feels good a week later. I drove 30 miles to this place and will make the drive again.

Came in after reading all of the reviews and they dont lie! I tried a few places offering deep tissue massages in the area but this is the only place that delivered. Summer was great and I look forward to going back.

Great massage! This was a very invigorating, traditional type massage, I was completely relaxed by the time my massage was over. I had my massage done by summer, who did a great job especially on my head and feet. I highly recommend this place of business. It was nicely heated even on a cold Chicago evening and the room was clean and relaxing.

Unbelievable. I had spinal fusion surgery when I was 14 and Ive had back problems ever since. The knots in my shoulders have always been drastic and very noticeable. I have tried a dozen different masseuses with a few different companies. No one compares to Summer. I will never go looking for a new massage therapist again. She is fantastic! For such a tiny woman I couldnt believe how wonderful of a deep tissue massage she did. I love this place! definitely a return customer

This is by far the best place for a true pain management / healing massage! My husband had back and neck restrictions and could hardly move his neck from side-to-side. Hes gone to several massage clinics and had temporary relief, so when we heard about this place, he researched it online and thought their website was very informative. Neither of us have ever had a Traditional Chinese Massage. He had a 90-minute massage from Summer and she incorporated elements of the Thai and the Tui-Na massages based on his pain. Clearly this is her specialty! The stretching exercises she did really helped and she explained everything as she went through each series of stretches. She is incredibly thoughtful and patient and both my husband and I highly recommend her! The atmosphere is very calming when you walk in - its a very clean and welcoming environment. Most definitely worth the time and investment - were definitely huge fans of this place! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Summer is the best. Ive been coming here for 6+ years and wont go anywhere else. The deep tissue massage is worth every penny. I sleep better and my headaches go away for weeks after.

I was late 10 min for my app with Summer due to police pulling me over.Of course,they dont pick up the phone at this place so it is hard to tell them I was running late.But when I arrived Summer was not there at all,this is the second time she is passing me to this other woman that is not so good with the massage.Costumer service is bellow 0 ,poor English and hard to find them to get an appointment.Yes,the massage for the money was ok,they are expensive Iand they are rude to people.We are in United States,not in China and costumer service means a lot They lost me as a costumer I am sure there are many places in Chicago to find this type of massage.Very bad presentation.Would never go there again

This was my second time back here, and they did not let me down! Summer has a way of knowing what massage your body needs-- a skill she has learned over many years! She is working to pass it on to the other girls, but no one beats her massages. I have always struggled with back pain, and her massages help in a way that no one else can. Thank you Summer!

Nothing special about this place. There are many other better options. I was there and paid with a credit card. I remember there was an Asian lady sitting behind the counter crocheting something. She was also the lady that gave me the below average massage. Sun Spa on Roselle Rd. is a better choice if you want a great massage.

This place was absolutely amazing!! I have been looking for a place that gives an excellent deep tissue massage, and this place is that. Not only was the massage amazing, but they add Thai massage with deep tissue. Im a muscular guy and I came out feel amazing!! This is definitely my new massage place. Sunny has become my new medical doctor, alot cheaper and less addictive than prescription medication relief, however, her technique is unique and addictive. FIVE stars to Sunny! I tried her Cupping too, on my back and legs, a little painful, but it has helped. She almost burned down the massage table one time! Lol!! It was hilarious, we were laughing at the rare incident. Worst experience ever..I told the massage people to apply more pressure on my backBut they dont even listen what you are trying to say.They are more concern about asking tip upfront.Shittiest massage in my life wasted 80$ coming to this place ...Guys trust if you really suffering from muscle pain this is not the place .The apply pressure like a baby 👶Not more than that

Called to make an appointment with Summer, person answering Sunday April 3rd around 1:30pm was very rude, unprofessional & refused to let me speak to a manager. Asked for her name and she said she didnt have to give it to me and hung up on me. Wow, unexceptable and not a good way to treat customers. I was referred here but if this is how u talk & treat people its a hard pass for me.

Read reviews on this place, which were good, but still didnt know what to expect since so many foreign massage places have been ok or disappointing in the past. This is not like other foreign massage places, I got the Tui-Na massage level II and it was awesome! Pressure is hard as described but not to the point where its sharp and painful, Im active and in good shape so this was the perfect massage for me, great techniques used as well. This was also my wifes first massage ever a day she really enjoyed it, she got the Tui-Na level I.

Summer is an amazing masseuse, she knows what she is doing. I obtain an injury to my Brain, a car had hit me, while I was walking on Lake Shore Drive, and Sheridan. I acquire a broken clavicle, and I am in pain all the time. She massages deep, while she does the massage, and the pain subsides in my neck. LOVE HER!

Fantastic massage! You can just lay there and they will find all the problems. Definitely authentic Chinese massage, this is legitimate healthcare. If you make an appointment, keep it or cancel it, other people are surely waiting to see the extremely talented masseuses. Yes they take walkins too, if they are able. If you think the price is too high, go somewhere else, get petted like a dog, and negotiate your happy ending. The value is definitely there for the price.

Me and my wife both got massages. Amazing! We both have never had a massage via there technique. Now I am looking to find a place back home that uses same style. They are for sure a hidden gem.

I am a huge massage enthusiast and travel extensively through Asia, including China and Thailand. I have been looking for a professional Tui Na and Thai massage for years that can compare to the therapists I routinely see in Asia. I luckily came across Chinese Traditional Massages in Schaumburg. They offer the best massage this side of Shanghai. Summer in particular is a very skilled masseuse. She is very intuitive and uses the appropriate technique to address the problems areas whether it be walking on the back, strong deep tissue manipulation with her hands or Thai stretching techniques. It is obvious she has extensive training and experience in several massage techniques. I have literally tried dozens of massage therapists over the past years and Summer is the best in the area and can hold her own among the best therapists I see in China. My days of looking for a masseuse in Chicagoland are over. When my massage is over I feel relieved of my aches and then after going home and sleeping through the night, I truly feel relaxed and rested when I wake up. To me this is the true measure of a great massage. Massage therapy is a part of my wellness regime and Summer is my go to massage therapist. Ive also had Hannah and Lisa work on me and they are also good, no doubt being mentored by Summer.

I was blown away by how Summer worked on my entire body with her hands and feet in a combination of Tui-na and Thai massage. Felt like a new woman afterwards...Tension and knots in my back were completely gone....I felt more relaxed than I have in weeks and weeks. The head massage is absolutely fabulous and I would highly recommend it too.

I have had a ton of massages in my lifetime and this was definitely one of the best.This is not a fancy place with bells and whistles.Sometimes it is hard to understand the English of the ladies who run it.But they are hard workers who want to do right by their clients and run an impressive, helpful business providing traditional Chinese massage therapy.

I paid cash and it was my first and last time,thats why you dont know me as client. And its not a lower back problem, its upper back.

True chinese massage. I travel to China a lot and get massages there. This is the closest to my favorite massage spas in China. Staff is friendly, they will adjust your massage intensity to your liking. I even brought my Chinese friends and like her,, we both agree this is the real thing.

Had a Spa Finders Card and they insisted I pay above and beyond.The lady did not keep me covered and kept answering calls during massage. Also, walked out if room, left door open, to greet walk in customers.

Ive wasted 10 years paying for a massage envy membership, only to filter out every other person who just didnt cut it..what a waste. Never again! after visiting Chinese Traditional Massage, I will NEVER go anywhere else. Best massage ever!

I am a single mother of 2 and have a sick mother I take care of on top of my kids. I also work between 10-14 hrs a day. When I stopped in I was so sore from everything I couldnt even raise my arms above my head. This amazing woman got me back and as Im leaving Im so loose and relaxed I may just take a nap. Amazing hands, and I will absolutely be returning to see them. 😆

I have lived/worked in China for many years and know exactly what good, well-trained quality Chinese massage is; Ive had every type many, many times. I am happy to know and tell you that the level of massage you offer is every bit as good as anything I get in China. I mostly go to Lily and each time it is my sincere pleasure; in all ways possible to visit and work with her. Lily is very well trained, and though now we are friends, from my very first massage she was courteous, highly professional, found out about my past surgeries and always does an exceptional job. Also, as they say in China, Lily is also a very good girl and I have great respect for her. Nice place for a Chinese traditional massage. They know where to press to help with my sore feet and back. Would definitely come back.

Tried to call and make an appointment here. The woman on the phone responded with a yell, you need to tell me what time you want to come in, we cant wait for you all day. All I did was ask what times they have available in a very polite way, was not expecting this response. Needless to say, I was the one who was hung up on!Ill try elsewhere.

This place is incridible. Summer isb best. She gives me best messages ive evr had and she helps me so much when evn though I have my disability. Summer is very accomodating and understanding and helpful. Very very very bad customer service.Yells at you over the phone.And the lady will hang up on you the moment she hears something she does not like.Really disappointed because I wanted to try this place.But I am not paying a penny for the rude behavior I got.No thank you.

My sciatica was acting up. Legs tingling and feet were numb. Tried a different kind of massage...and am glad i did! It helped tremendously. I will go back!
