Friday afternoon at Changes I had a great ribeye steak and a drink. This morning (Saturday) I realized I forgot to close out my tab. So this afternoon I went back to pay and get my card- or so I thought. The latina behind the bar hastily looked for my card said she couldn’t find it and suggested I come back when ‘that bartender’was working again.. I expressed I need my card and that she was being cavalier about my card.she fired back ‘that I was the one that lost my card to get a new one’I was stumped and just left. Here’s the thing folks I didn’t loose my card I gave it to the bartender to keep my tab openand when I got home today I had to cancel the card. Now I have to change all my accounts affiliated with my card because adolt couldn’t be bothered to help a CUSTOMER.What a disappointment.Take2you’re a confused bar owner and a sad 🤥 liar!(it’s all n camera) I was there between 4-6pm on friday May 17th 2024I ordered at bar and the young bar tender took my CARD.ask the cook I ate in back patio.the dolt latina is a referral to the disheveled unnecessarily rude male who was working yesterday afternoon.Watch out people !!! don’t leave your card with bartender- you might not get it back .Folks heres a pic of my ribeye steak and it’s time stamp !!!
I recently visited changes and had an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by jack with a warm, friendly atmosphere that immediately made me feel welcome. The décor is stylish and cozy, creating a perfect setting for a night out.The drink menu is impressive, and if you visit on a Tuesday they offer a wide range of very good priced beers. Jack was clearly skilled and passionate about his craft, creating beautifully presented and delicious drinks. I highly recommend trying his signature cocktail-it was a perfect blend of flavors. He was also ready to provide recommendations and ensure I had everything I needed. The service was prompt and professional, yet laid-back enough to keep the vibe relaxed.Additionally, the music selection was fantastic, enhancing the overall ambiance without overpowering conversation.Whether youre looking for a spot to unwind after work or a lively place to enjoy with friends, changes is an excellent choice. Ill definitely be returning soon!
I love everything about this place except the fish tanks! The staff and patrons are super sweet, the drinks are great, and they play fun music. But the fish really bum me out. Their tanks are super dirty and the fish do not look good. They have so much waste dangling down (several inches) likely due to constipation from the amount of algae they’re consuming in the tanks. I understand being busy and not always having time to clean the tanks, especially in a food/bev environment, but I feel like the fish should be rehomed if no one has the time to regularly clean the tanks.
Fun Karaoke Wednesdays & Sundays. Queer-friendly place. Robert & Markus are awesome. Good vibes
Wonderful experience here last night the bartender is amazing so sweet! Will be returning.
Giving Justin total kudos. Like when he comes.in and relives a bartender that is not emotionally able to bartend. This bar is amazing, as long as the staff is ready to work.... like Arthur
Karaoke night was a blast. Great crowd, drinks are strong and reasonably priced, bartenders are friendly, karaoke crew was a vibe. All around a good time.
Hadnt been there for over 20 years. Returned to Seattle a year ago. Changes is just as good as it was years ago. Best local gay bar ever! Nobody is pushy and the crowd is fun. Very nice place and the bartenders are super.
Changes is the King and Queen of American Gay Dive Bars. The food is simple but done well, the drinks are strong and the staff is wonderful. If you are new it may take some time for the regulars to warm up to you but once they do it will always feel like your going to a family reunion when you come in for a drink. The customers are fun and laid back. This place has been one of my favorite bars for 24 years. The owner knows how to run a bar and has been doing it for 30 years which speaks to how brilliant he is at creating an experience. The regulars are irregular and I wouldnt have it any other way.
LOVE IT! The owner and all the staff are very friendly. It is inexpensive and the atmosphere is wonderful. I mean of you want a small dive bar where as long as you are respectful, anyone is welcome. They have $5 burger (made from scrstch) and fries on Tuesday which are great. Friday they have 3 types of steak (purchased by the owner the same day)
Cozy dive bar with cheap and strong drinks! Love the outdoor covered patio out back. Karaoke on Sunday’s and Wednesday’s are always a lot of fun and the bar hosts all sorts of special events throughout the year that really draw in the crowds. Nice neighborhood vibe with lots of regulars. I’ve made a couple of great friends frequenting this establishment!
Changes was not a good fit for me . I went on a Friday night and the bartender was drunk and sluring his words so badly I had trouble understanding him the music was loud .when I asked to cash out he yelled at me to shut the f up because he was telling a joke to another customer . It was not fun and he added my tab up wrong 39$ and change for a steak and a shot. The steak was nice but not worth the trouble
Neihborhood bar with TVs, local talent shows, great bar food and specials. I’m fond of hamburger Tuesdays. A burger and fies will set you back about$3.50 but even better are the flavored vodka double wells for $3.50 and domestic bottles for $1.25. There is a pool table and a back patio. This is a fun place with stuff going on all the time. Karaoke, happy hour specials, game day potlucks. Good people and good times.
The reason some of us love this place is the laid back mood and friendliness of the staff. That Cheers feeling that you are welcome to this neighborhood gay bar and have a seat is what draws folks back time and time again. The food is good and the drinks are not expensive. Theres even an outside patio under the wisteria!
Super awesome dive bar with really cheap drink prices. Their super happy hour is $5 doubles! Fun place to do karaoke on Sundays and Wednesdays. Staff is great!
Always a great place to come and get a good drink and the food is good and cheap, especially for what all you get. Definitely worth the price. And a really laid back place to hang out.
Beautiful, welcoming people. Great bartenders and such a wonderful atmosphere. I wouldnt call it a dive bar but I do like dive bars. Hot guys too.
Drinks being watered down now. A bar in Seattle, a gay bar in Seattle watering down drinks? That is a recipe for going out of business. I can go into any dive bar in the city and get a decent drink at a decent price. Watering down drinks to try to save money for the establishment is just plain silly in Seattle. There is just way too much competition for that to work. Perhaps there has been a change in management.
Waiter was obviously coked up and rude and unwelcoming, atmosphere sucked and drinks were sub par
Happy to have our little neighborhood gay pub in Wally ... good drinks, fun times especially on karaoke nights. And despite popular belief, you do not need a passport to drop in from Capitol Hill. Give it a try ...
Changes is very charming. I can see why it’s not everyone’s kinda bar. But I love casually hanging out here and grabbing beer! Low key and fun!
Came in to have a drink on the anniversary of my exs suicide and celebrate his life. Was repelled by the stereotypical bunch of high school girls in mens bodies, and was served one drink in 45 minutes. Never making this mistake again.
Friendly atmosphere, the guys who work there are so handsome.
Fabulous place to come get a drink, hangout, play pool. Always have a great time here. #LoveThisPlace
Busy with Karaoke revelers. And celebrating a birthday with a homemade birthday cake by the karaoke host Marcus.
Great neighborhood bar, amazing staff strong drinks great food and karaoke
Great local bar! Go visit Robert their bartender, hes awesome!
Nice friendly down to earth atmosphere, not pretentious, good food, really good drinks!
Dive-y bar and the only gay bar you will find in Seattle outside of Cap Hill
My favorite gay bar. I love the staff and Karaoke hosts.
Changes is my family Ive been doing drag there for along time and the are super friendly love them guys and gals
Unpleasant bartender. Pretty sure they dont have food, if they do I wouldnt eat anything made in this bar.
Great 1st visit! The cheeseburgers and drinks were perfect. Thanks
The most welcoming place I have encountered in Seattle − dont let the black windows fool you!
I love this place. Its not for everyone but take it from me that if you give it a chance it grows on you.
Super weird pool room but great service.
Really a dive bar, but queer. Customers are friendly.
I always feel welcomed here with open arms!
I love this place a lot
Really good food
Gay dive bar.
