I went to Cafe Racer to see Sacha Robotti (a DJ), but didn’t eat or drink anything. I can only speak to the venue, the vibe, and my brief interactions with the staff. The few staff members I spoke with were very friendly. The door person was very polite and patient while I fumbled around to get my ticket ready. Everyone else seemed very chill yet attentive. The space has cool decor and a nice ambiance. The one thing I didn’t like was that the stage is adjacent to the entrance, which makes for weird feng shui. There’s not much they can do about that though.Overall, I had a very pleasant experience and will return anytime they host a DJ I’m interested in seeing.
I just played a show here Friday May 6- it was incredible. The sound guy, bartender, and owner were just about the nicest people I’ve ever interacted with in the context of a performance. The venue itself and drink selection is second to none. Their sound equipment, stage, and mezzanine are all something to behold, and at a professional level. It was truly an experience playing here (where they let me roll my acoustic piano right onto the floor), watching the other acts perform, and meeting the wonderful people who both work and attend this spot. It was an excellent and memorable welcome to the city of Seattle. Thank you Cafe Racer!
This is for the bollywood night by dj sats please avoid this dj at all cost. We went for bollywood night, the dj has 0 crowd awareness(the crowd was so bored by his list of songs), the song choices are boring and he plays almost full songs or will change the song just before the main drop. You need to be really drunk to enjoy the night.Have been to his holi party last year and another bollywood night at “the stage” 2 year ago he hast changed. Save your money, a bollywood remix at youtube is more upbeat than what he plays.
Really disappointed with the Bollywood night that happened recently. It was overcrowded, with no space to stand, and people were sweating, their droplets falling on us. The place smelled really bad, and there was only one bartender at the bar and 30-minute to wait for a drink. The DJ was horrible music shuts down after each song, except for the dhol. Mostly, I seen guys were teasing girls and inappropriately touching other women. If you want to have a good time with your friends, dont come here. I witnessed a fight at the entrance with staff beating up people and there was blood everywhere. It was the worst Bollywood night Ive ever experienced in seattle.
Thank Sagan the pandemic didnt take this gem from us. Their new location in cap hill is absolutely fantastic. Beautiful space with tall open ceilings. The OBAMA (Official Bad Art Museum of Art) room has been preserved and is located on the second level with lots of seating areas, just like the old Racer. Theyve done an excellent job of maintaining the vibe if the old place and updating it with a newer space and look.
If you love alternative R&B, House, seeing amazing local talent, come through and bring a friend. Great spot for a wild Saturday night or if you want to just chill/vibe out during the week.
I loved Cafe Racer before the pandemic and I still love it. Their new location is more convenient, though I wish it was a little more cozy. The live music is just as fun as before. Definitely a great space for cheap drinks, lots of room for friends, and weird art. I went on a Sunday and the kitchen wasnt open. Not sure if thats the case every Sunday or they are understaffed. Would love more signage or clearer hours.
Went for a music event. Amazing vibe, good crowd. Security was good and ensured I felt safe even when I was by myself
They lost my credit card at the bar new years eve. by the time they found it again, id already cancelled it, and it started a domino effect that ended with me losing my health insurance for non-payment, and im STILL trying to get that sorted out. all because i might have wanted another beer and trusted these guys to hang onto my card in case i did. i will probably be back for the music, but Ill be strictly pregaming from now on; im never bringing my wallet anywhere near that life-ruining bar again.
Look, I love Cafe Racer. It has history. It has oddity. It has music. It has menus. It has a staff that will hook you up with all that plus drinks. I want folks in here that want to be in here. I dont want people that dropped by coz they heard it was cool - we all got plenty of that and dont need no more. Come here if you really want to. But really want to.(Edited to five stars because I have faith that only the folks drawn will come.)
Best place to hear new & interesting bands on Sunday nights at the Racer Sessions. Long lines at the bar, but worth it for the conversation and camaraderie. Everything here is wonderful, and fills me with joy. Only further request is to bring back the tots, and have more vegan options. Much love for my favorite place in Seattle.
New ownership, great venue, great productions, strong drinks. Vivid attracts great artists to Seattle. Love the place!
Rude staff. They did not let us enter despite of buying tickets. Additionally, they did not even let us take our stuff. My jacket is still inside the club and they owe me $150 for that.
No food items - bartender was dismissive. They also tried to play the assumed need change back? $10 bill on a $7 can. Hard alcohol had limited/poor selection. The biggest reason never to return? Went to see a friends band play. They were charged $150 to play (they realized after the fact, maybe it was a strange marketing option, where they mention your band on the website?). $10 cover. No room for a merch table, no posters up for current/future bands, no link to their music. So strange. Pay the venue to advertise for the venue, which looked like just mentioning the bands name on a calendar.
Wasn’t planning on stopping by earlier this week, but the doorman was incredibly kind and invited us in. I can’t complain about the service, because they were kind. I was a little surprised when my bank notified me that I left a 50% tip even though I clearly remember tipping my normal 20% ! Not a good look for Café Racer…
HD LED Video wall, VOID sound system, and SO much character. The new management is super invested in creating a top tier venue. Love it!
I love Cafe Racer! The space itself is very comfortable, huge velvet booths and nice acoustics. I go for the Sunday 80s tea dance from 2-5pm. You should, too! The owners, staff and DJ are super friendly and the music is so fun.
Seraphim on Thursdays is the highlight of my week! The artists are amazing and so welcoming to new people! Definitely go and support local artists! Such a fun vibe! Dance, sing and commune together!
First time there as newcomer. Loved the atmosphere and the music. The bartender on the duty was respectful and helpful. However, some of the patrons especially the male patrons were very rude, disrespectful, unfriendly, seemed to enjoyed showing off their passive aggressiveness attitude. I guess thats when the Seattle freeze starts to show itself in it’s true form. I’ll definitely will be back soon, but I wish that the patrons would just lighten up specially when it comes to their treatment towards newcomers.
Saw one of my favorite DJs here, people were super friendly.
Such a fun place! Very welcoming to all, and even the bathrooms are trans-friendly. We were here for a private event, but will definitely return for a night out in the future!
This venue has a beautiful beating heart. The owners Cindy and Jeff, along with their amazing staff have created an environment that is fun and funky, and super supportive of the musical artists in this region. LOVE LOVE LOVE this amazing space and community!
Every 2nd Tuesday of the month is a sober event organized by Grooving for Good ! 💜
Went on a Friday night and it almost felt like I was walking into a house party rather than a bar. The art upstairs is hilarious, and its pretty awesome that theres an N64 with good games up there to play. Drinks are good and cheap. People are friendly, live music was good... If you like unique dives, this place is a must.
Not a safe place for artists & drinks are wildly overpriced
What a cool place to hang out. Interesting crowd and delicious cocktails. What more could one ask for? Maybe for good food! Yes, I had an excellent salad with goat cheese and pecans. Every night, there is music, talks or something surely interesting going on. Each musician who was on stage had an interesting performance accompanied with a video on the big screen as the background. I also met the owners Cindy and Jeff, lovely people. It is so easy to become a Cafe Racer regular.
Cafe Racer is reborn as a chic music venue in the heart of capitol hill. Great elevated stage, cozy private booths, large dance floor, fully stocked bar, a top floor for better views and private chats and some of the best local artists performances. Plus the staff is beyond wonderful!
Nice entertainment venue on Capitol Hill with a smaller stage. The bar is a decent size and the second level has a nice balcony overlooking the bar and the stage. Theres also a cool little Crows nest so we can see on the second level above the bar.
Very cool space with crazy fun decorations. I had a baked potato with egg and cheese - so good! They also have a gaming console upstairs with Super Smash Bros! There was a dance/electronic show down at the bar, but we were still able to have a pretty quiet conversation upstairs.
Cafe Racer is inspired and uncompromising. Theyve focused 100% on DYI Washington music makers and the live shows (and acoustics) are phenomenal. Great bar and staff too. And, holy F., theres a huge floor. You can dance if you want to!
Oh man, a bunch of friends and I piled into this place in kigus and fishnets Sunday morning for some breakfast after a party... I am so impressed. We were so welcome and well-treated, and the food was great. Not too expensive. Servers were charming and patient, and attentive without being intrusive. We had the back room to ourselves and they had pillows for pillow fighting and an n64 with Mario Kart. Very cozy. Love it.
This is a unique experience with great food! Decor is awesome and creative and its a very community-oriented business. Love to take the kids to breakfast or a quick stop for some hot chocoloate (or cider for me!) Highly recommend the Two Bells Tavern burger or BLT is hands down the best in the city. Also, the Black and Blue burger is also delicious.
Great aesthetic, good drinks, amazing acoustics for prime enjoyment of various noise.[show up for the rave nights, you wont be disappointed]
I feel like five stars are in order here because this place really fulfills a promise of what it offers. This is a simple, unpretentious, well lit little bar and cafe with food offerings and very reasonable prices. Dont expect a high-end $15 Mezcal Negroni or handcrafted top shelf martini with blue cheese olives. On the other hand you can get a good cup of coffee, espresso drink, herbal tea, shot of decent liquor, good beer on tap and old style canned Brews for a very reasonable price. Also if you want a simple cocktail, they are very nice and Im sure they will try to accommodate you. Overall a very friendly and low-key vibe. Its about halfway between the Ravenna district and the U District so the location is pretty good and even having said that there is usually parking! Definitely a plus.Typically an eclectic, artsy crowd spanning a large age range. They frequently offer music and on Sundays that have a curated free jazz session followed by an open free jazz session. Really an awesome opportunity to hear local talent.February 23rd update: BRUNCH!This is an update to an earlier post.Just had brunch there this morning! This is a new thing for them and it was amazing! My wife and I had Sunday brunch. The Ambiance was casual and relaxed and we hung out for a long time chatting with the owner, the bartender, and in general just sat around drinking coffee until we were ready to leave. There was no long wait. We found parking right out front. The food was excellent and really creative. And it was super gentle on my wallet. I will definitely be going there for brunch again. My wife had the house omelet of the day and I had oh, wait for it, biscuits and vegetarian gravy. Now I seriously love sausage gravy but I went with the vegetarian gravy on a recommendation from the server and it was amazing. Tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, and I am told it off and has field roast but it did not this morning. It was Savory and delicious and I had it topped with two eggs over easy.
Just went to a show here. The space is beautiful and this place may be a Capitol Hill game changer. The focus is on local music offering opportunities for new bands, established bands, and other creative endeavors. Best wishes, Cafe Racer!
This place is such an awesome spot, and Juan is honestly one of the best bartenders I have ever had. He is personable, extremely talented at bartending, and holds great conversations. He was the only one that I could tell was working there this past Friday night and was literally amazing and made sure everyone was taken care of. Wish I could give this place six stars!
So glad Cafe Racer is still going strong! The owners not only care about the staff but strive to keep the local music scene alive and strong! It’s all about the DIY music scene and what they’re doing for our community is incredible. If you’re curious about the local music here in Seattle check out this establishment. Live music every single night, the best karaoke on mondays, open mics, jam sessions - they got it all! enjoy the neighborhood you live in and support artists, always! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
No-frills establishment. Kitschy decor. The food is inexpensive and pretty much what youd expect for what you pay. Typical greasy diner fare. It seems that people come here mostly for the ambiance and colorful characters. Not a place Id recommend for Sunday brunch.
On Wednesday theres world-class live jazz next door at Vermillion, with a suggested donation of $20. Decent drink prices, free pizza if you get there at 7:30, and a nice combination of art gallery and live music space.
A small cafe and live music space in the Ravenna neighborhood. As a club it has a main room with a long, narrow setup, good for a more intimate gig. The bar in the back has a good selection at reasonable prices. There is also a separate room up a flight of stairs that works as a lounge with bizarre paintings on the walls. It hosts various srts events throughout the year. They serve food during the day, but as I was there at night for a show I didnt eat there. Its a fixture of the neighborhood, having avoided the recent waves of redevelopment in Seattle. In short, good spot for a local night out.NOTE: since I wrote the original review Cafe Racer closed permanently in 2020 due to the pandemic. The space is currently vacant with no new tenants confirmed.
Where can i start about this place its always a good spot for pregame and to stay and have a good night always have good DJs who plays good music. drinks are always cheap and half of the time its free to get in
Good food and value. Large portion sizes. No styrofoam boxes!!Great atmosphere. Not for the religious uptight. Home of the Official Bad Art, Museum of Art (OBAMA).Small footprint. Open mic Tuesday night!!!!
The owners went above and beyond for us even when there was a discrepancy between the hours of the Cafe and the Museum of Bad Art. They went out of their way to welcome us and talk to us about the history of the building and the neighborhood in general. Easily one of my favorite pit stops in Seattle. I sampled their coffee, chili, cider, and salad; all of which I enjoyed. Highly recommend.
Wonder cafe and the owner Jody is super nice!
My favorite neighborhood bar. Supports local artists. Wonderful, friendly staff. Love the interior decoration. Food is delicious. Live music often. Awesome brunch place as well.
We randomly came across this gem of a cafe, where we enjoyed a fabulous lunch with great conversation and input from Jeff the owner. While we happily ate everything (and we ordered a lot), not to miss dishes are the housemade jalapeño poppers, meatloaf and the Two Bells burger- memorable! Beyond food and drink this cafe feels like a community center for local arts and music. Just wished we lived nearby...
We went there while they were open not just after they opened, but like the middle of a business day according to the hours posted on the door. Most of the lights were off but the door was open so we walked right on in. We ended up giving ourselves a tour, and by tour, I mean we walked into the back only to see utter darkness... The kind of darkness that could swallow you whole in the search for answers. Why was this place empty? What happened here to make it smell like weed and PBR?Where is the bathroom? What made the experience truly creepy were the 2 people (I assume to be hippies) playing strange aesthetic music in the background. One of them looked at me... Almost as if to signal to us that we needed to leave, otherwise we too will become terrible art. The kind of deep piercing gaze to signify we were about to be swallowed whole by this... D A R K N E S SOverall, it was truly an incredible trauma bond for our relationship 10/10 would reccomend, the trauma bond that is.UPDATE: This was not a Monday. Minus one star for your dishonesty.
Stopped in looking for somewhere to hang waiting on the comedy club to open. So glad we stumbled in. Drinks were awesome. Atmosphere was great Owner was super friendly. Will definitely be back :)
The food is amazing you wont be let down. Even the frenchfries are just right. Ive eaten here in the past.but it has grown up a bit. They obviously care, and want you to have a nice, friendly and comfortable experience. Its one of my favorite hole in the wall resturaunts. I cant wait to go try more menu options. And libations.
Cafe Racer is the best neighborhood space! The brunch, music, and events make the place a lively and enjoyable space. The menu is eclectic and delicious. Its a space for hanging out with friends, studying, and late nights with coffee and cookies. All around the best spot!
Went in the other morning under the impression it was a coffee shop due to the name. Ended up with an Irish coffee and a great first impression- the bartender was super friendly and personable. My friends and I agreed to go back soon when we are actually anticipating a bar!
Last time I came here it was alright, nothing special. Cute, with tacky artwork. This time I was alone and was treated very rudely. I was asked to leave before a musician began playing around midnight. Sorry I’m not a paunchy thirtysomething yet? Did you think I wasn’t ordering drinks? Jerks!
The new space is incredible. The attention to detail is amazing too. Their fridge was down so they had a very limited menu. The gnocchi that my baby and I shared was delicious.
Cafe Racer is a lovely little neighborhood spot. Jeff and Cindy take such good care of all of us and make this place feel like a home. They are a beacon of light. Us young gays feel incredibly welcome and valued at Racer. My girlfriend and I frequent Racer for brunch, a quick coffee and late night drinks. The food especially is delicious and affordable for its quality. The community driven spirit of this space make it incredibly special in the downward “luxury” spiral of businesses in the Roosevelt/Ravenna/U-District. Three cheers for Cafe Racer!
I love most of the old staff and some of the new! Kurt is a nice guy keeping a Seattle dive bar a Seattle dive bar! Always good times and the food is made to order and great! Relax and enjoy the good times ✌❤😊
The new menu at Cafe Racer is definitely worth checking out.I enjoyed the house-made bean burger, which overflowed its bun. The generous, well-seasoned patty was garnished with spring greans, tomato, and savory sauce. The toasted bun made a nice contrast to the somewhat squishy burger. The sandwich came with just the right amount of perfectly crisp French fries, a nice side salad, and a crunchy dill pickle. My partner reports that the meatloaf sandwich was equally good. For dessert this Friday night we had a show by the Tikigraphs. A fun night out at a very affordable price.
Cool place.....oddball art that will make you laugh....really good hot dogs!!!!....coffee...beer, wine...not a bar feel ...more of a fun living room cafe feel.....i know weird to say.... good hot dogs but hard to find in seattle......but yea... real good...split, grilled, kraut,,cheese..nice! A bunch of types of seating...tables, counter, private rooms.......piano...music gigs....wifi....nice clean bathroom...cool people!
Like the best attributes of both the U Dist.s Racers and the Barca Lounge and Bar, the place is a fantastic throwback to noir scenes on the West Coast of the mid-20th Century!Still, very campy like a college effort by motorcycle enthusiasts to always be re-living a dream (w/out motorcycle?) of the best it might ever have been - it is now all that it was and need be - including a mid-week open mic.~ Be Amazed!Note: I wanted to leave only a low number of Yelp Stars only to keep lookers on the path and away from what need be called an important Seattle institution!Thank You! ~ and, Thanks For Understanding!
Good place but I felt ignored as my beer was empty for quite a long time before bartender checked in with me. Maybe he had reason I dont know :) Anyway, I can recommend this place but my experienced might have been better. But in the end.. I suggest you give it a try.
What a cool little neighborhood Hangout! Ive been there a bunch of times for brunch and always have fun with my friends. Check out the upstairs, its filled with crazy art and has a giant table for groups
How y’all going to kick us out BEFORE 12:00 and say it is midnight, we all paid 30$ for tickets and did not get the full concert in at all very unprofessional security as well.
I stopped by at 10:30pm on the way to my night shift at the hospital because I was hoping to grab a coffee and nothing else was open. The bartender had just finished cleaning the espresso machine (which I didn’t know) but when I asked if they had coffee, he noticed my scrubs and immediately made me an amazing Americano. He was so so kind and insisted, even when I told him I didn’t want to make more work for him.I live in the neighborhood and this is a really special place. Thank you for that Americano, you saved my night!
Cafe Racer is my favorite neighborhood bar, music hangout and brunch place all rolled into one - a real gem! Never disappointed with the menu, and always happy to introduce new and old friends to the unique art and board games upstairs.
Great food, great people, great art. Check out the great music they have there and the awesome decor. Probably been here a hundred times, everyone is so nice.
Great venue, clean spaces, but the food can improve. Ordered a shepherds pie, and was overwhelmed by the amount of grease on the inside. Grease isnt necessarily uncommon for a shepherds pie, but the amount in mine was ridiculous. Definitely had stomach issues later that day.
This place is my kind of diner. the right food, wonderful people working, all ages events, and just a lot of reasons why this place is the best. its also right next to the Trading Musician, which is a lot of fun for music nerds like me.
I think this is a pretty cool place. Kind of a combination bar, cafe and coffee shop. Front is a bar area and cafe. in the back they have couches and board games for this of you who just want to study or play some games with friends. They are open really late to are and have live music.
Have to shift my 5 star review to a 3 star. I love racer and have been coming for many years. For some reason they got rid of all their vegan options. When asked why they were very dismissive and then when I asked what was vegan for my partner they notified me that even the fries were cooked in the same vat as the meat. No warnings or notifications. My two vegan friends had already been there for an hour eating the fries. Just very sad and a little shocking to see this in Seattle, especially from a place that was once such a highlight.
9 of us had delicious breakfast in a colorful, relaxed atmosphere. I’ve always loved this place, but the improvements to the menu have made it even better. We will be back often.
Definitely check out open mic night, its super fun! The bar staff were super sweet and friendly, I highly recommend
Havent been back since the very week of the event and it was a comfortable return, and grateful its still here. Juan, dont forget to remind me: Whitney Houston, Florida drag queens, and Tyndall Air Force base parachute harnesses...it will soon all make sense!
Had lunch. He was happy to put the bacon cheese burger on a tossed green salad, and it was delicious. Played majong with my friends and my daughter. Great prices for Seattle
Had the field roast Frankfurter. It was absolutely delicious. Good beer, Supergoose IPA. Jimmy, the bartender was on point and very accommodating. And really cool to talk to. Also played great music. 5 stars fer sher!
Great bar awesome music open mic night Thursday night its like no other open mic you will see its great
Place had a shooting w/3 people dead few yrs back. guess thats why the female bartender was excessively rude to me 15-5 min before closing time. all I drank was espresso on my laptop. Im a wartime vet and got treated like refuse here. thanks maybe try again and see if I get threatened again. if not Ill add a few stars and re-assess. but knowing them theyll read this and be ready to pounce on me if I visited. Ive only been there ever once, probably enuf. we ll seeI saw another reviewer had the same experience as me. funny is my bandmates played there & told me about the blood-shed here. like to piss people off I guess
First time I walked in with a friend. Never been there didnt know there was a protocal. We waited about 10 min, mind you this was a Sunday morning meaning 10 to Noonish. The bartender saw us walk in glared at us but never said word. We sat off to the side. After being stared down and not offered a hello or anything other than hostility we left
Good atmosphere. Drinks were a little week when I went. Has a dance floor.
First thought, strange! Walked up to the bar, ordered a burger to go. The little lady said, $14.95! Second thought, she got me! She had this grin that lied! I was sure she just took my money! Then this beautiful person asked me if I need a bag. I just wanted my $15 burger! This burger was FAT! Cheese just overflowing the Texas sized patty! That fat juice, OMG! Fries to perfection! Each one cooked just right! The bread was this thick, heavy in the gut, chewy thing! Third thought, Im coming back! Without a doubt, coming back to have my money taken by this little lady that took and delivered this work of delicious substance! Just what I needed, when I needed it, where I needed it! Kaizen!
Havent been back since the shooting. Some things have changed and some havent out of the spirit of remaining the Cafe Racer we all have grown to love. One positive, cold beer!
Great food, awesome bartender (say hi to Juan!), fun events. They have exquisite corpse drawing nights and live music like every time I go.
Great live music here from local bands & musicians. Thoroughly enjoyable. The Google maps location is wrong, this is actually on 11th between Pine & Pike at 1510 11th Ave
I love Cafe Racer, and have for as long as I can really remember!!Good foodChill atmosphereCool peoplePerfect location...... And yummy cookies!! :)(RIP victims of the Cafe Racer Shooting.)
Stumbled on the most amazing show, it was only 5$! Juan was such a great knowledge and friendly bartender. Great art and live music, a wonderful wonderful place
Coming from someone who lived 14 years in Seattle. If youre looking for that funky Seattle vibe of old... this is your place. Actually, dont go here, but if you do, the Tuna melt will leave you weak in the knees.
Authentic bad art bar and cold beer watering hole. Makes me wish I didnt sell out years ago so I fit in with the misfits. God love em, the servers act like adults and treat you the same.
Went for brunch. Divey bar with surprisingly awesome food. Full bar and nice wait staff. It looks like they have a small stage for events too.
Was a great location for an EDM Event!Great art, friendly Staff, loved the upstairs chill area.
Ive been going here for years. Great food, inimitable atmosphere, very artistic, inspiring environment, great place to meet up with friends or make new ones.
The official Bad art museum of art was an absolute delight!! It offers quite the amount of seating and planned activities. Great funky fun place!!
Google is having a hard time figuring out the address for Café Racer Seattle. If you want to see great local bands, come up to Capitol Hill between Pike & Pine on 11th. Right next door to Vermillion. 1510 11th Avenue, Seattle Wa.
Friendliest cafe in Seattle! Love the atmosphere and everything about it. Live music, cribbage nights, full bar, brunch, lunch, dinner, coffee.... It has it all
When located behind the bar, Caleb bestows a kind of ministerial elucidation upon the role. The musicians who arrive, the conversations that ensue upon the seating of patrons old and new, the place is alive, ALIVE I tell you!
Great little bar/restaurant! Great environment, and one of the few places around that serve quality simple breakfast plates. Their burger is TO DIE FOR!
Someday youll say, I saw them when they were just starting out. Before anybody had even heard of em. And that will have been at CR.Drink a Rainier tall boy here and know youre investing your $ what you want Seattle to remain.
Amazing food and even more wonderful staff ! Throwing shows here is always a pleasure. Fun space with so much to just look at.
Came here for Dune. A nice place to hang out and make attempts at socializing. The hot sauce selection needs expansion. (UPDATE: RE: Hot Sauces: Tabasco (Chipotle), Tapatio, Ghost Pepper sauce, something that ranges from mild to beyond hot).
Fun artsy dive with live music on certain nights. Upstairs has game area. One of the best places to go if youre bored at night.
Nice place, but its a very sketchy neighborhood, dangerous and dirty with many questionable people lurking nearby on the street. Felt very unsafe.
Fun restaurant and bar with really unique, quirky interior. The sandwiches were really good too; had the bacon apple brie sandwich.
Had our employee holiday party there, had a great time! Beautiful space, great staff!
Upstairs has great vibes, very psychedelic. Really cool space to chill out if youre looking for a new venue.
Awesome open mic. Love the Obama room. Menu has a lot of tasty treats. Definitely a favorite!
Very hip and artsy. It will take a while to get your food, but at least youll be entertained trying to pick out your favorite piece in their Museum of Bad Art.
Love this place - its my office-away-from-the-office. Good food, coffee, beer, etc. - opens at 9 AM, stays open till late. Just a great, unpretentious environment.
Good vibes, very eclectic nights ranging from open mic to live music and DJ nights.
Took a lot to keep it up. More than a landmark, an institution. This place is the proof that community is still alive and well in Seattle. Pay your respects, and stop in.
This place has a chill vibe & good food. Interesting/eclectic live music, check calendar for open mic & jam sessions.
The damn Palmers (owners) are some of the coolest people around!! Dink’s are always good and the atmosphere is very nice!!!
I am so glad that Cafe Racer lives on. The vibe is still friendly and funky. The food is solid. Exactly what I want from a neighborhood place.
A must see cool local restaurant with a jewel inside - the Official Bad Art Museum of Art. Go for good food, board games, and neat art!
Seattle needs more independent and quirky places like this. Food, art, drinks, and music. Oh and dont forget an N64 in the back room.
I have been going here since before I moved to Seattle. This is my home away from home. I love this place and host monthly events at this location.
This place has great food, service, and character. Glad its still around after all these years and has done well after the change in ownership.
Cheap drinks, friendly staff and a stellar open mic every second and fourth Tuesday
The art on the walls here really makes this place. Some of my favorites are spooky clown, creepy twins and what is even happening in this one? the perspective is all messed up.
Cute place with eclectic decor and great atmosphere for art. Food was pretty good too!
Very colorful place! Interesting local bands. Coffee was blah. Service left something to be desired.
This is not the same old Cafe Racer, but it is fun and I have enjoyed the few music shows I have seen there recently.
Best dive bar/art museum Ive ever been to. And the foods not bad, either.
Cafe Racer is a quirky place with a relaxed atmosphere, cool art, and a very friendly cat that plays the accordion.
Menu limited but what Ive had is good. Water is often served without ice on hot days, which baffles me.
I love going to sPiN! sPiN! SuPeR! every first Thursday here. Great live DJs and such a wonderful atmosphere!
Cozy place. Great breakfast/brunch and stiff drinks. One of my favorite neighborhood bars.
Great place super friendly guy working the bar. OBAMA was amazing. Meatloaf was even better.
Absolutely adorable venue with amazing art and friendly staff.
Beautiful art. Wonderful employees. Great food. Definitely will be back.
Delicious food, delightful company, funky and fun. New owners, new menu, worth a visit or 10.
A great dive feel and cafe style bar. good comfort food and live music most nights.
Good sandwiches, breakfast, coffee, Full bar with wide selection of liquor. music on weekends and the Bad Art Museum!
Loved it, great study space upstairs. Also Juan is an awesome bartender!
Nice place to work during the day. They have live music at night and are open late ~1 AM
Great staff, and even better karaoke night!
Fantastic food, good drinks and great prices. Can not recommend this place enough!
A community hub for overlapping seattle scenes, casually welcoming, good food, friendly atmosphere. So glad it exists.
I performed there they loved it nice vibe nice crowd good location
Delicious food, good drinks, music and friends. a fun and unique place to hang out
Best Breakfast Burrito in Seattle!! Bacon is my fav! Coffees good too!
I loved this place for the unique art theme and delicious stuffed jalapeno poppers!
Very good cafe, a lot of very interesting/weird art which can be fun and very good loose leaf tea and coffee
Nice bar/cafe, there was live experimental music when I went there.
It has very particular vibes, this is not a place for coffee I actually confused it with that
Great food and excellent entertainment opportunities! A true hidden gem in Seattle!
Cute little cafe with eclectic Seattle flair. Excellent food and strong as hell coffee!
All inclusive, community vibe is strong here!!! The soul of the previous location lives on here!!! 💓💓💓
Great place, great people and good drinks
