I recently visited this club in Seattle, and it was quite disappointing. The place was extremely hot and dark, making it uncomfortable to stay for long. The atmosphere felt more oppressive than exciting. While the bartenders and servers were doing their best, the overall experience was still lacking. The poor lighting made it hard to see anything, and the heat was unbearable. Even though the staff was friendly and efficient, it wasnt enough to make up for the uncomfortable environment. I wouldnt recommend this place if youre looking for a pleasant night out.

The decor is very beautiful. I didnt get a chance to eat because I went at night. The drinks where very good. Its a mixed crowd. We danced with the locks and they are very friendly. I had a great time

It was a nice place. We bought shots for $11 but when we bought a round the bartender up charged the shots to $18 and I thought that was very strange. Also, he was not very nice and Im not sure if it was racism. He was a younger guy, didnt catch his name.

My wallet was stolen here and the staff were quite unhelpful and uncaring. I learned that they had had multiple other reports of wallets being stolen that same night - and did nothing proactive to protect further patrons? Dodgy, would avoid this place with a 10-foot pole

Terrifying Experience.Went for a couple of drinks after a work event with my colleagues from out of town. I have a rule that I have a max of two drinks, especially in a professional environment. Myself and two out of eight of my colleagues were black out drunk - after two drinks! We were so messed up to a point where we couldn’t talk, were puking, and each of us fell unconscious in the car home that our colleagues got for us (after searching our wallets for our addresses). They got us home safely but had they not been with us, it could have ended up much worse than the worst hangover of my life (coupled with the embarrassment of that happening with colleagues present). I will never waking up not remembering the night before, only learning from my co-workers that we were so incapacitated that we had to be carried to and from the car. Our spouses were very worried but thankfully the three of us had someone at home to make sure we were okay.I am convinced we were drugged at Havana so please be careful here and watch your drinks carefully. Especially after talking to some friends - it’s notorious at this club to have these types of experiences in my social circle.

Tiny venue, which youd expect to be full on a Saturday night but obviously people vote with their feet. It was dead. Wont be going back

Sexual Discrimination at Havana. The policy of allowing women free entry while charging men is patronizing towards women. This implies that women either cannot afford the cover charge or would not choose to visit the club based on its own merits. Such an assumption is not only insulting but also undermines the independence and financial capability of women. It suggests that their presence in the club is more a marketing strategy than a recognition of them as valued customers. This can inadvertently objectify women, positioning them as part of the ‘attraction’ for the paying male clientele, which is unacceptable in today’s strive for gender equality.For men, this policy is equally unfair. It imposes a financial penalty based solely on gender, reinforcing the archaic notion that men should bear the financial burden of social activities. This is not only discriminatory but also disregards the diversity of financial situations among individuals. Men, just like women, should not be subjected to unequal treatment based on outdated gender stereotypes.Moreover, such a pricing strategy can contribute to an uncomfortable and potentially unsafe environment. It reinforces the idea that women are a commodity, offered as an incentive to male patrons. This not only objectifies women but also sets a concerning tone for the interactions within the club, potentially leading to uncomfortable or even unsafe situations.

Came her for a birthday party on a Saturday and was sadly so disappointed. The music was NOT good. Everyone was having a hard time dancing and having a good time. The saddest part was that we had been here before and had such a great time, and today we left only an hour after arriving.

Music here is amazing and I love the crowd. Dancing is hella fun.

Bar doesn’t have Mojitos, or Mint. Service is intended for college students, which is okay. But, maybe, still have more rum and tequila options than vodka with a name like Havana

If you like dancing real close to everyone this is the place to go. It was not my cup of tea but obviously people love it. It was packed when I went. The building looks really cool and seemed original. I wish I had gone upstairs to look around.

I was in the club for 3 minutes and it was empty and I was assaulted by staff 🙃

One of my number one bars in Seattle. In the event that you arrive after 10pm you can hope to stand by 15+ minutes in line, and theres a $10+ expense to get in. They take cards now at the entryway, so you dont need to bring cash. Its really packed during the end of the week, yet it feels open with the entirety of the windows. Great music and bunches of moving. Its difficult to get a beverage during the ends of the week, so ensure you pregame prior to showing up

The name is Havana and the least they put is latin music, more rap and oldies music, not merengue nor reggaeton or salsa. They charge cover and the drinks were overpriced. Even though is not bad, just not to be expected as a latin place.

Went on a Saturday night. They had good music and a solid DJ. Didnt love how many people they packed in. You could barely dance or get a drink. I was disappointed. It couldve been great if they managed the crowd a bit better.

I wanted this place to be better. They charge you a cover and then they allow so many people in that you can barely breathe in this place. The floors are dirty and wet so if you’re wearing heels, good luck. The bartender with dreads and tattoos, we were told his name is Akira, was super rude for no reason. He pretty much ignored us for as long as possible even taking selfie’s for several minutes while people were clearly waiting for drink orders to be filled and once he made our drinks they were so overly sweet and bad. He needs to have his bartending license revoked if he even has one, this guy has no business working customer service. Unfortunately this place was a mess and we will not be coming back

Cover is average. When my group went it was $15/person. The music really depends on who is playing. Sometimes they have talented DJs with solid playlists and song transitions, while other times the DJs are not so great, and the tracks don’t flow well. The place gets pretty packed and out of all the clubs I have been to this one was definitely harder to get around. Your experience here won’t be consistent every time, it depends on the DJ and crowd.

A go to spot to start out the night and just to dance. Cover fee is not worth getting in after 10pm due to the small size. Gets super hot and crowded around 11. If it’s just a chill night you want to spend dancing here is your spot!

One of my favorite bars in Seattle. If you get there after 10pm you can expect to wait 15+ minutes in line, and there’s a $10+ fee to get in. This place is called Havana and they didn’t play a single latin song. I went there for the latin vibe. It was just as the same like all other club. They need to mix more Hispanic songs

Do not recommend their group reservations.... Had a booth reservations for our group of 8 that was reconfirmed via email two days prior to our arrival. Showed up on time and had no issues getting in, however thats when things went downhill. We were told to wait to the side for a manager who would help get us settled in. Waited almost 30 mins and got a ton of attitude from one of the bartenders we asked to check on things for us since we still hadnt been helped by anyone. Mind you this was when the bar was fairly empty around 10pm. Someone then finally came over to admit they had lost our reservation. After getting seated our first round of drinks had two missing, one wrong, and then they tried to charge us for the drinks again. We stayed for probably two rounds of drinks and shots to more than meet the booth rental minimum but that was it as the dance floor became too packed to move at that point. Probably would have been fine if just out for some cocktails with a few friends, but otherwise I wont be back and definitely wont recommend to anyone.

Visiting from out of state, but this place was awesome! We got there a little early, so the crowd was a little thin, but we were able to snag a booth big enough for our group. As the night went on it got a decent size crowd, but it did get a little warm, but not enough to make you leave (just remember to stay hydrated!) Staff and security were great and the music was on point!

This is a good place to grab drinks early in the night if you want a quiet place, but right around 930 PM it will start to get busy. Good place for dancing hip hop or Latin depending in the night. The bartender I had made an excellent cocktail, though I am sure it is hit and mess just like every bar. Go here for dancing.

One of the best bars in Seattle city IF you want to dance. I went on Saturday night and it was full with young people. I dont know if always like that or just on the weekend.

I love coming here, the staff is super nice, and the DJ’s are always jamming. I come here usually on Tuesday nights. Any night is a good vibe and cool group of people looking to have fun. P.S look out for the basketball guy jumping through the crowd. He is harmless but reliable. Enjoy 🤪

I went to the restaurant on a Saturday night, the entry fee was $15 dollars and it wasn’t worth a single dollar, the club was super packed and there was not even a place to stand, let alone dance, I tried dancing a little but it just wasn’t possible, on top of that the dj was also not very good, there was no flow in the songs.The bartender with tattoos and piercings was pretty rude, me and my friends had vodka shots and I asked for a extra lemon afterwards, he refused, I thought maybe he didnt hear me correctly so I asked again twice and he refused both times. I would never go to this place again.

Great for cocktails (if you like sweet). Great for people watching. Young crowd clubbing to old school hip hop and 90s R&B. Very similar to Sugar Hill or Still Liquor. Hilarious guard. Bartender was a bit rude, though.

Hosted my birthday party here last Saturday, and I gotta say everything went very well! I had about 65 people in my party and we reserved the mezzanine as well as the large booth downstairs. It got a little cramped, but people eventually just spread out throughout the venue and mingled so it worked out. If youre thinking of hosting a big event, Havana is very accommodating and very quick to return emails (for once!)The drinks are solid, especially if youre in to rum. DJ spins all the good stuff from 90s classics like Return of the Mack to hits from the mid 2000s and it makes for a great environment. I get really sick of EDM/house music very quickly, so this is a huge plus for me.It is a zombie town in Havana until about 10:30 for some reason. The DJ starts at 9, as does the cover charge for gentlemen. Ladies get in free until 10:00.YES it is somewhat hard to find but I think thats part of the appeal! I plan on adding this place to my Cap Hill rotation when Im out in the area.

Maybe this happens only in this club?Have been there 2 times. Turning lights on at 1:30 AM and sending people out at 1:45 AM. Why would charge $15 cover at 1 AM if this was the case?However, music was okay and there are no special lights for dance floor.

Lol this people it’s really insane. As soon as they saw me and my girlfriend, they told us they won’t let us in and to have a goodnight. Felt kinda homophobic. We just laugh of how stupid it was! Kinda shadowed a little the night but not biggie. Just don’t go there.

Nice place but terrible service of the bartender yesterday night

Went this past Saturday. Was very surprised by how small it is. Literally just a dance floor , bar w/ five stools maybe. Three seated areas with longer seats. VIP section upstairs. Was a very fun experience. There was this guy in a Lebron James jersey w/ headband who kept doin the motion for shooting a basketball shot ALL NIGHT! I couldnt help it but laugh. ! I loved the music, old school hip hop party vibes w/ new music bangers. Was fun. We had a lovely waiter after we took over VIP section! She was so sweet.

Great service! Needs AC though.

Tonight was fun! Meeting the DJ and security guard I felt safe and rewarding to engage with while dancing my butt off! Overall, a great night of the weekend!

The music here is amazing! I randomly stopped by on a work trip and could not have had more fun. So much good dancing and and good vibes. Customers and staff were all so friendly. Cant wait to go back.

The bar tender with the tattoos and piercings last night was the worst!!! Monday November 15th he literally slapped my hand while I was getting my drink the first time, then declined to sell me another drink stating that I didn’t tip him for horrible first service!! Someone like that should not be dealing with customers!!

$11 at the door, 30 min wait once you actually push your way through shoulder to shoulder capacity to reach the bar. 3 drinks cost $45. No room to dance at all. Good dj but come before 10 or otherwise dont waste your time or money, they have no business letting in that many people. Also watched a customer attempt to remove the bra of one of the waitresses, sitting on the dj booth rail. Kinda trash vibe.

Its been a long time since I spent ALL night on a dance floor. First time here and on a whim. DJ was very good, loved the music. My feet were unhappy the next day but it was totally worth the fun. Friday $6 cover before 11pm, $10 after.

Mixed experiences with this place. Sometimes music is great and other times not so much. strongly recommend go there early (like..before 11) if you dont like to wait in line on Saturdays...but the trade-off of that is you might feel awkward being there so early since there will be only few people on the dance floor.

Verrrry crowded but that’s expected on a Friday night. Amazing crowd, great energy! If you want to dance and you don’t mind being shoulder to shoulder with everyone around you (and most of us don’t after a few drinks) then you should check this place out!

The most incredible experience happened here. First off, it was a great place to spend a Saturday evening with great music and lots of people having a great time. The best thing about Havana, however, was after I had lost my phone and wallet there. Im from Canada and had to leave the next day when the bar was closed, Eli the manager was able to find my things and take it personally upon himself to mail them back to me! It was such an incredibly generous thing that he didnt have to do!I give the highest recommendations to Havana! It was a great time and you know youre well taken care of!

Fun night club....loved dancing here. The machine wasnt reading my debit card for drinks. Shouldnt have charged us for entrence 15 min b4 close but still had a great time for a friends bday party.Update: called and manager was awesome. Looked at charges and they reimbursed all inaccurate debit charge for the drinks. 👌

If youre looking for something different on the hill then a hipster bar you need to come here. With an amazing security staff and a great bartending and cocktail service you wont be disappointed. Most nights are hip hop or a guest DJ that will keep you moving all night long. Be aware there is a dress code so no gang banger hoodie b*******and dress to impress the better you look the better service youll get. Check the website for the best nights to go. Theres also VIP upstairs service which if youve got a party of save theres also VIP upstairs service which if youve got a party of say at least 10 or more might be worth checking out to have a little more privacy and dedicated wait staff. Overall Havana gets a thumbs up

After paying 11 dollars to get in. I had ONE drink, proceeded to find my friend outside. When I tried to get back inside with my 11 dollar stamp, the bouncer told me to wait in line very rudely. After waiting 10 minutes the other d-bag bouncer said I was too drink to go inside after ONE drink. A waste of 11 dollars on a Friday night. The music was mediocre, the drinks were overpriced even for seattle and the atmosphere was whack. Pass!

I can see the appeal to some, but Havana is always too crowded for me to enjoy. Struggling to the bar to order a drink on the weekend takes ages and I always feel like Im pressed up against someone else.The décor is great and the atmosphere would be nice if it wasnt so ridiculously crowded.

Generally busy and energetic night club with a cover and line out front. If you want to dance and grind, this is the spot for you. If youre not looking for an all out dance party ala college, I wouldnt recommend it.

Bartender wouldnt take our order? Tried waiting at the bar even tried to get his attention he just kept skipping us and never even turned in our direction. Its ok sober night was a blast anyway.

I would not recommend. You pay a cover charge to play stand-in-line simulator 2021 since the bartenders cherry pick who they take orders from. It was too packed to do anything and I couldnt wait to leave.

Havana is one of those places you always walk by in Capital Hill and wonder what is going on in there. With a pretty hefty cover (especially for guys as girls get discounts), light pours on moderately expensive drinks, and a packed dance floor, this may not be the place for you. Although if you run a tab of over $300 you can work your way upstairs to a pretty cool seating area if you have a larger group. They place pretty good music, a good mix of old and new, and all different kinds depending on how the DJ feels that night.

If I could give negative stars I would. To begin with, the bouncers are absolutely rude. The name is misleading, considering they play mostly hip hop. Also, Havana draws an immature crowd, so if you’re looking for a cultural experience with class this is not the place to go, for culture or class.

We paid an $11 cover to be ushered into a room packed wall-to-wall with sweaty drunk bros. When we wanted to go outside to cool off, we were told we had to wait in line to get back in, despite our wrist stamps.

This stupid mf club will lose your card the night youre there. I called and called. Told me they would give me a call back if they found it. Did not. I came back, my card was there. I had already gone through the liberty of getting a new one. Theyre trash with irresponsible bartenders who dont follow through with your drink orders. Small dance floor. Boring.

You denied entry to one of the Godfathers of the entire Seattle house/dance scene, one of the legends of KEXP, one of the most listened to streaming radio shows, and one of the most kind and noble men because he had a backpack. You could have searched his pack and found nothing unacceptable. He would not have objected. Nowhere does your policy state that this part of a dress code. Many people in this city dont drive and carry adaptable clothes for weather and otherwise with them. Was it his color? His age? Ego drunk doorpersons? This was not good for your business. TRUST.

It was so hot and humid inside that I couldnt even breathe. How about they invest a portion of the cover charge in buying an A/C or a big fan? I couldnt tolerate being inside for more than a minute, enter at your own risk

2 weeks ago I torn my hamstring slipping on a lime walking into the night club on a Wednesday night. None of the assistants working attempted to walk with me to my car and expected for me to get up and walk it off. I did not consume alcohol prior to this situations. Sucks I wasnt drunk!As many worker as they may have NOONE CHECKED FOR THESE THINGS. Doctor states its takes 6-8 weeks. Lost my job because of my injury. Im currently waiting to hear from outside representative.

Hands-down the worst bar/club in Capital Hill. Extremely rude staff, overcrowded, and high cover charge. My friends and I went out on a Saturday night, and were denied entry because one of us stepped out of line to smoke a cigarette. We were a larger group, and he proceeded to say that we had to go to the back of the line. This was of course after a 45 minute wait. Not to mention that the staff has no respect for people. A few months ago when I went there, one of the employees was groping my friend. I called him out on it, and then was kicked out. Save your time and money.

This place is LIT on Tuesdays! Recently was entertaining an out-of-towner on a Tuesday and had a recommendation to check Havana out (I had been 3-4 years prior and also had a positive experience) and it was busy. DJ was playing hip hop from 90s to 2000s and was a dancey vibe overall. Good stuff!

Ive been going to Havana for a lot of years. Ive watched it evolve from a well-kept secret to a hot spot. I honestly preferred it as the well kept secret (and hope it goes back to that) but cant blame a business, especially a bar, for being busy. Would recommend.

Backpack Gate 2017.YAY CAPITAL HILL ESTABLISHMENTS POLICING HOW WOMEN CHOOSE TO CARRY THEIR VALUABLES.Since they dont have it posted anywhere (website, outside the club, as a polite FYI when a table is being reserved for a large bachelorette party), you should know that reasonable-sized backpack purses will get you denied entry at the door.This happened to me and a friend this past weekend. Prior to that, I witnessed a young woman being told that she would have to remove something she was wearing (her hat?) before being able to enter and I began to feel uncomfortable about this place (to be clear, Ive never enjoyed being at Havana or clubs in general). Then a friend started recounting how one time a bouncer had refused to let her re-enter after the club was closing and she realized she had left her things in coat check, and I got really uncomfortable, to the point that I thought, I dont want to be here. Then, of course, my wish was granted and my friend and I werent allowed to even enter this most-hollowed establishment, unless we returned with the right way of carrying ones money, ID, and phone.We were not given any reason for the backpack ban (that they are always HUGE and take up so much more room than a bigger bag you happen to carry on your shoulder, or that backpacks always contain weapons! (lets not even dive into that racist/classist b.s.), or that backpack purses are ugly! eeeewww!, or that they hate women who avoid using a one-shoulder purse because of back issues, or personal tastes, or their opinion that its none of your business why I have a cute-ish little backpack purse and my friend has a really expensive and super fashionable backpack purse that Im secretly jealous of, despite you finding both heinous). And strangely, despite the lack of explanations, and our continuous attempts to respectfully explain That this is a style of purse., Can we speak to someone else?, Can you please make an exception for a group that is planning on spending a lot of money tonight?, the bouncer made it VERY obvious that This is just my job. I get it. Dont hate me for doing what Im told. Yes sir, we get it too, and we dont hate you per se, but we would appreciate a legitimate answer to our legitimate questions, because what youre being told to do is frankly stupid, and possibly discriminatory.Is it fair that I expected decency and respect out of an establishment like this, where I witnessed a woman being policed for how she was dressed and knew that another friend had been physically prevented from fetching her property? Probably not. However, I did expect that, being a Seattle and Capital Hill-based business, Havana would be more invested in avoiding the club trope of perpetuating the stereotype of how women should look and act in order to deserve admittance. I was mistaken. Please dont go to this place. There are so many better places on the hill to visit and support.

This place is a synonym of party, its crowded with beautiful girls, there is music until 2 am, they have a variety of cocktails, I was hoping more Latin music, but I enjoyed the night anyways, the pretty bartender was so attentive

Everything about this place is fun. The décor is unique, inviting, and comfortable. Chairs are great around the bar. Drinks are unique and well made. Bartenders are friendly and attentive.

First time visiting out of the area. Music was good but not what I expected with the name Havana. Despite the crowded small dance floor & no latin music played, I enjoyed my time there.

Pretty cool bar. There werent a lot of people there but we still had a good time. The music is good and the service is fast.

$15 cover for mediocre drinks and ok music. Tons of old men who reeked of cigarettes. My friend got roofied here. Don’t waste your time coming here.

Out of a couple clubs I been to I can say that this is a better spot than Stadium/Trinity. Music is wayyy better. None of that EDM jumping music.

Your wallet, credit card, and information might be at risk. Had a horrible experience and after reading some reviews, it seems like it has happened to many different people. Security is very rude, unproffessional and most likely involved in credit card theft.

Someone in this places steals credit card information. This happend to me and another friend. In the same night 3 oct 14. Also this place is supposed to play spanish music. I was there for 3 hrs and heard 3 spanish songs. Drinks were horrible.

This place is pretty sweet! Looks like an old hotel or something on the inside, very fun! The crowd and staff were great and out of all the places we were at, the service was the best!

Got shredded at this bar. Went up to the little VIP area, and looked down onto the peasants below. Also my friend did not tip well. He goes by Invasion Yeti if management would like to blackball him.

Fun place! If you’re looking for cuban or Latino music this place is only called Havana but doesn’t play Latino music. Played great hip hop though!

Worst experience in Seattle ever, they wouldnt allow someone into the club because they have a green card(whos nationality is Cuba) , makes no sense, they apparently dont want business. CHANGE THE NAME OF THE BAR!!

Horrible, HORRIBLE night club!!!! I was there less than a minute. I walked in and walked right back out. It felt like walking into a cattle car. No one was dancing, you couldnt if you wanted to, just shoulder to shoulder people standing talking!

0 respect from staff or patrons. Server put a dirty glass in my drink and didnt apologize or replace it. This spot is trash.

Since R Place closed this is the best music on the hill. If you want to dance this is where to go.

It’s called “Havana” but has no latin music at all. I asked the DJ to play something latin and they refused. We stayed 15 minutes and decided to leave. They would no return my cover.

Always have a great time here, but the place has no AC, which sucks because people are dancing and sweating. But a fun place to be!

Good night-life spot but dont be fooled. Theres nothing latin or Cuban about this place. Most nights, its like every other club type spot in Cap Hill.

This place was terrible !!! Not did they charge me twice and then say my card was declined ! The there is no place for u to consume your drink once you have purchased it. They allow the men there to grab and grope you. The place was so packed you could barley breath. Overall terrible .

Is a nice bar where you can dance with out limit, I think they have a hip hop party every Wednesday, is a place to visit and the drinks has a very good price

Looking for a chill night with old school music on a Tuesday, Havana it is. You wanna go early like 9:30 and leave before it is hot and humid due to crowd around 12:30AM.

One of my favorite clubs to go to! Always a good amount of people with excellent DJ’s.

The most Ghetto’est bar you can go in Seattle and Manhattan Costs you 20$, be your own judge!

If you are non USA AVOID. Poorly trained (being kind) door staff. Doesnt seem to remember the purpose of asking. Over 50 but looking for passport. Non US password not enough.

Good alcohol selection, great hip hop music and friendly people if youre intoxicated the staff will have no respect, but always friendly from my experience
