Supernova Seattle

I used to like this place. But now its absolutely trash. Apparently you have to finish all of your drinks by 1:45 which no one told us until 1:40. But the first security guy told us we have to finish them by 2. The another security guy came up to use and told us to stop dancing and finish our drinks, when we told him that we had 15 minutes still he went on an absolute power trip and got in my friends face. He kicked out a couple of people in my group for saying that it was 2 yet and slapped a drink out of my other friends hand and she wasnt even arguing with him. Its a shame because I used to really like this place.

Cool vibe but it was totally empty on a saturday night so it was pretty boring once you’ve seen everything. the atmosphere is cool, maybe i would’ve enjoyed it had there been more than 10 people there. who knows. the bartenders were really nice and the drinks were fine. security was keeping a close eye on everyone and threw out a guy who kept bothering and touching my friends and I without us having to ask. i saw a few reviews saying that it smells like piss and they weren’t wrong, it kind of does but it’s not overwhelming.

*2024 update*From my old review you can see i ised to adore this place- It was a fav spot where i felt safe and it was actually a dance club, i went the weekend before last and they have a new owner. Long story short it is now a musty strip club, idk how old the pics theyve been posting recently of the girls/dance floors are but i can tell you Half of em were nodding out and No one was dancing except about half of the girls on poles.Now its groups of dudes who just stand there staring at you, not to exclude their tickets were 24$ each and you couldnt even breathe inside it was like they had a fog machine hooked up to 27 vapez - even I felt musty walking out of there.The atomopshere was giving *carry mace*)))):🎉Note to owner: crack a window in there🎉*old review** lots of stairs** i also do not drink so my review is strictly for the dancing club experience *Wonderful first experience! My bestfriend and i saw wreckno! The dancers and staff and everyone were so friendly AMAZING ATMOSPHERE i felt 100% free to be myself ! Absolutely lived the crowd and atmosphere plus free water and fans!! Theres a photo booth and two dance floors plus areas to go outside for air, they also amazingly enough had a seating area which was great for my friend who was recently in an accident and couldnt stand for to long!

Very disappointed, Absolutely a scam of an establishment. Ridiculously high atm fees & not only that but also they short you of your money when you exchange for 1’s without informing you. Security is extremely aggressive & don’t have proper de-escalation training. I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you’re looking for a good night out in Seattle as there’s way more better options. The only pro I’ve experienced is that the bar tenders are really nice & professional.

Absolutely NotHad a 90s 00s theme night and the music wasn’t even right playing music from every decade, ruins the original theme nights they used to have , also half the dance floor is taken up to have areas for their dancers so there is hardly any room to dance now, it’s honestly just a strip club now

Supernova is an outstanding venue with so much eye candy and artistic detail to discover and enjoy. I found some of the cooler elements of the club (secrets room! Hidden photo booths! Great photo opps! Floating unicorn!) and I know there’s some goodies waiting there upon my next return. Yes the place is hot but what club isn’t? The soundsystem is really good and the magic that the space was created with seemed to come out through the event. Looking forward to my next time grooving on this dance floor!.

Fun place. Still has the old studio seven layout. It’s refreshing to have an inclusive space to just vibe. Decent drinks and the different themed nights keep it funky. Love seeing drag queens and all types of go go dancers.

Supernova out here robbing people. $20 cover fee.. cool no problem. They don’t take cash.. so they can force a no optional gratuity fee. Why am I paying over 7$ gratuity to walk inside? Then gratutity fee to buy drinks?! Trick didn’t serve over 6 people she barely served me for 60 seconds and I have to pay you gratuity . we paid over $50 for two well drinks that weren’t even strong. That’s wild. Had to pay and extra 7$ every time we got a drink. Here’s a tip bring your own liquor. All in all this place is pretty weak. A lot of potential but they completely missed the mark

Went here for Halloween night! Super cool atmosphere, loved the decorations, and the photo booth was a really fun touch. Sadly, the DJ was not encouraging a dancing vibe. No one was dancing, even when we tried to start it up. The drinks were tasty, but it was the same expensive price for a shot or a cocktail. 12 bucks a shot!

Do not go here! NO good music, no good vibes, no good speakers, bad area. First of all, the club smells of urine, (smell is crazy strong). Then the Dj played really off music, nothing heard or popular. The prices to enter the club was something around $40 per person as apparently, they had a special appearance by a DJ, but nobody came! Also, the drinks are overpriced af. A malibu shot cost $22, thats way too much for a dead club. There were hardly 10-15 people dancing on the dance floor. Dont go here, its a waste of money!

First time here Friday Oct. 20th. Overall really enjoyed it! Great set up, I like the elevated stage for the DJs, it lets people in the back get into it more. Staff were very friendly. Decorations were really good, better than some other places, definitely more effort put into it. I didnt notice any bad smells like others have mentioned, maybe that has been take care of by management? One suggestion, I think theres some bass missing, either speakers not working right, or need more. Definitely more bass at MonkeyLoft, Trinity, and Rafiki in Kent.

I really want this place to be great but it just wasn’t as fun as I remembered it being ! I have been here a few times about a year / or so ago and it was always super fun- busy and interesting and good music. I don’t know what has happened but last night it was dead! The music is bad… disco but you don’t even just play a full good recognizable song. This place could be great again if they just switched it up to get more business. Also the guy who monitors the bathroom is insanely pushy, he shouldn’t be touching and pushing people to keep them out - it is loud! But I know ya got words in there haha. All in all, I think the vibe has been lost, but I hope it comes again!

This used to be a fun club but these days they dont upkeep the facilities, they overcharge and pack the venue to unsafe levels if they manage to get a big name to come in. If they dont have a big name the place is absolutely dead. Last time we were there they double charged our card for tickets and when promised a refund they instead blocked us. Will not be back.

When they first opened, I had 2 decent nights at this venue. Ive gone back twice since regrettably and It must have straight gone downhill. Not only is the owner a POS as several people in the community have spoken out against his actions, but the venue is genuinely unsafe. Always seemingly oversold and as everyone is saying... it smells like piss. Top it off with drinks that are way to expensive.. Not the move. Wait for your fave dj to play elsewhere.

This place is absolutely horrendous! The owner is intoxicated at all times and is completely unable to handle serious matters. Do not come to this establishment ever.

This place did not accommodate our drinks. Let us pay $20 cover for a person to only let us take two minutes to only buy a shot. No choice for a drink, we could only take a shot. Don’t come here for a quick drink.

The club itself is cute for pictures and has potential but the music was meh,it was hip hop night and while there was some moments the DJ had it right man when it was wrong it was wrong. We had fun but the music could definitely be better. Also it smells like old musty pissy pants in there. Once i was drunk enough i didn’t care. Cute club just wasn’t my vibe

Let’s start with attendances, there was about 25-30 people here. Dance floor was absolutely empty only about 2-3 people maybe 4 on the dance floor. Vibe of this club I guess you can call it that was absolutely terrible, music kept disconnecting over and over.Drinks - Not gonna lie the drinks were of course bomb I loved it but few selectionsPrice - Really $30 for 1 person just for this building to look like this the only good thing about it was the mirror room right before you entered the full area of the club.Speakers - I myself work at car audio I have noticed about a couple mid drive speakers were blown that made the music sound absolutely bad was not a fan of it. DJ if you hear a speaker blown replace it right away or disconnect that speaker before you try your amp, once you try that amp who k it’s what’s gonna happen next.Security: Really cowboys hat cmon you’re from Colorado my guy chill out and the other guys ehh I guess you’re valid but nahh take it offDJ Part 2: Play some better music man throw some 2pac or even Biggy Smalls, Kurupt, The Dogg Pound cmon Lil Baby that’s it wack

Amazing entrance/gorgeous decor. The lighting is amazing. Lots of UV lighting Wear your Neon. Sound quality is great. Staff was friendly. Would have given 5 stars but the smell was horrible. Smelt of urine really badly downstairs. Really cool hidden photo room also!

Apparently the word around town is that the owner is a scumbag and because of this all of the events Ive tried to go to the past few months have been cancelled. Super unfortunate as the venue itself is amazing. Cant wait for something to change so I can party here again.Edit: in response to the business replying to my review, Id like to point out that the events I planned on going to at supernova were not hosted by supernova. Rather, they were hosted by a third party organization, and were indeed cancelled. This has happened 3 times now without any explanation. My review stands. 1 star. Get it together. Clearly something is wrong if event organizers are cancelling and information as to why is limited or withheld until day of.

Absolutely the worst worst place to go in Seattle. They will lie to you about costs of tables and refuse to give you receipts. They will also take your table and all of your drinks if you all stand up to dance. I was grossly over charged. I was quoted 250 for the table with drinks and bottles coming out of that cost. We did not drink the two bottles we had and left with a 900 charge. The club has terrible DJs and service. Save your money and time and life and never ever go here! I will post ever single week about this club until their rating truly reflects what kind of company and people work here.

It’s cool other than the fact it smells like a homeless encampment upstairs. And drinks are pretty overpriced for what is basically a dive bar club, I guess? Not sure what this place is trying to be…. Seems pretty disorganized, management non existent.

It was like meh. Nothing really negative to say, just wasn’t really wowed like I expected to be. Some cool decorative elements in the space. Drinks are expensive. Music is fun and different from the same old stuff on cap hill. I feel like this club gets advertised as being a queer space but this is NOT a queer club.

Not a safe space that it claims to be at all!! Has smelled like piss in there the past 3 months and the drinks are very overpriced. Not to mention the owner is an awful human. Dont go if you want to be safe at a club..

This place is terrible. The doorman, “KALEB with a K” is extremely rude. He literally screamed and cursed at me for asking a simple question. I just wanted to know why my tickets weren’t scanned. I think what happened was that we were in the re-entry line or something, but anyone could have gotten in for free and I bought tickets so I just wanted to know how come they didn’t scan my tickets. I did absolutely nothing wrong and he kicked me out. I wasn’t going to argue and make a huge scene so I just left. Will not be going here ever again. I have never been treated spoorly in my life. Sorry if Kaleb was having a night, but maybe he wouldn’t be so stressed out if he was actually doing his job and scanned peoples tickets instead of being rude to people.

Unique venue with fun decor, captivating lights and three separate “zones” which all have their own atmospheres. Fun spot to get some disco dancing in on your weekend. 🪩🕺💃

One of the best nights of my life! Every details was so thought out and every aspect was intentional. The space is a burst of creativity and welcoming of all people. The staff are friendly and fun. The music was perfect and they know just when to change it up. I recommend dressing up in a fun lewk to add to your own experience! Love this place and can’t wait to be back!

First time I went here I left within 20 minutes. The cover is $25 which is insane for a Seattle club. The decor is cool, but the drinks are also expensive and to top it off the music is horrible. Its basically just disco beats with no lyrics. The club also is in a weird alleyway, so its not close to anything else even if you wanna leave and go elsewhere.

WARNINGLovely place but they cut the alcohol with glycol and water which will absolutely shred your esophagus and can be super dangerous especially if youre a regular. The club itself if beautiful and a great time, the dj was okay but the vibes are on point. PLEASE just DONT DRINK. I only had 3 drinks and am still in a lot of internal pain from the glycol days later.

Place is dirty as a pile of manure everything is old and the dirt has got to be original to everything you could possibly touch in there.

I’ve been twice now and both times the DJs were terrible, and the crowd was sparse. The drag performances were amateurish at best. They need to book better talent.

Seattle has really become a carnival side show , this kind of proves it. Overpriced and the music is questionable.. dont waste your time or money. Drinks are way Overpriced. Cant a club just be good and not gay themed or some other gimic . Things that are inclusive dont need to flout lbgtq or we have drag show . Its supposed to be a dance club . Hire better djs and drop the themes

Just had an insane experience on the phone. I called to understand the club’s experience because I’m trying to plan a 21 run for my brother. I thought it would be cool for him and his friends to stop by and see the atmosphere and the place seemed like a great inclusive place where they would feel comfortable.I called to find out if there was a way for him to see the venue without paying the cover fee because we plan on bar hopping like a normal 21 run and won’t stay in one place for too long. I thought maybe we could sneak in before the 10pm cut off but apparently you’re required to dress up in theme to be allowed in.The person I spoke with was rude, condescending, told me it wasn’t the place for me if “I didn’t want to make an effort to follow their dress code or pay”, spoke over me when I told them the attitude was unnecessary and then when they couldn’t handle the pushback, hung up on me.This first point of contact is a direct reflection of how their staff treats their customers. You can see it in the other reviews. So much for being an inclusive club who welcomes any one.

Hallway is great for insta photos. Bar itself is iight, only shots, smells like pee and cover is a little much for being so empty.

$30 for basically a carnival-themed bar with a DJ. Magician, woman on stilts, clown, etc. walking the very long line of folks waiting to get in is a bit gimmicky. My friend and I waited 4 hours to get in (we wanted to leave like so many other people but were committed). We finally got in 5 minutes before last call. There was great energy on the dancefloor once you get inside, but overall, as good as any other club around here in my opinion. I wouldnt waste your time or money with it.

The vibe was amazing, but, the prices were an absolute scam! I got charged $26 dollars just for one drink that had an extra shot in it. The management is dismissive and rude as well. We had to wait over an hour to get in on top of it. The club itself was fun once we got in but the insane drink prices are enough to make me not want to come back. You definitely want to pregame if you do decide to come here. And they do bag check.

First time being at a club/music venue where the staff acted like they like the patrons. Especially security team was so nice and friendly. Lots of parking nearby. Only downside was long lines for the bathroom.

Celebrated my bachelorette party at Supernova and it was nothing short of iconic, fabulous, cosmically fantastic… Great music, great drinks, great space, and impeccable vibes. What more can a woman ask for?

Last Night was Opening night so we legit had to wait about 3 hours to get inside, but it was %100 worth it. There was a live musical performance as we were about to head inside around 140 am and it was a blast! The inside is decorated AMAZINGLY! Great vibes with everyone just having fun and being BEAUTIFUL! Love. Love. Love.

Around 3-4 am the night of 1/6/23 (1/7 early morning) 7 employees, thats 4 men and 3 coat check girls, followed my 3 girlfriends out the front door and back into the alley where their car was parked. I found out recently that one of my friends has a broken rib. 2 friends have hair torn out. 2 friends have concussions and have been hospitalized.The owner of supernova has a responsibility to the public safety. Before, when I heard this happened in the alley out back, I assumed it was because there are no cameras. Now I have learned that all 7 of the employees, whom had attacked my 3 girlfriends, came out the front doors where you know there are cameras.I may be 1 person, I may not be strong, but I am holding supernova responsible for this. This CALCULATED ATTACK has been done before and will happen again. Supernova has the means to terminate all 7 of these employees, but they wont. And you, Yes You, the person reading this... You could be their next victim. What a fun Friday Night, right?

Soooo much fun! I love the retro 70s/80s vibe & the entrance into the club literally is perfect! Its like this tunnel that opens up into the first floor of the club. So cool! Definitely will recommend & looking forward to returning!! Cant wait to check out the roller rink side!

The best music every time, me and my friends love this place, it’s strictly for people who like to dance and hear the best techno music in town I love the video game arcades, and they are free!! I wish this place opens everyday.

Consistently the best part of my night out

I like this club I do… But security is so bored that they police anyone who looks even just a little drunk. My friend didn’t fall, was not belligerent, and did not bother anyone else, yet security came up to him and told him he had to leave. For NO reason at all. Security needs to chill and let people have a good time. As long as they are not a danger to themselves or others, who cares? 😡Also with a cover like that, people shouldn’t be kicked out that easily. We always behave when we go out and are kind to people.

Love this place, vibe is perfect. Male bartender with nice hair (i think his name was Danny) was the best! So nice & quick. He definitely made our night! Will be back.

Everything you would want in a night club. Decent parking, amazing staff, amazing sound system, good drinks, quick lines, welcoming environment, crazy bookings... Hello? Snoop Dogg, and dj warren??? I wish I could rate 6 stars. Seriously, if you dont know where to party, party here.

My biggest complaint is not enough actual fun music to groove To. Its a lot of house music which is repetitive and boring after an hour, needs more lyrical fun music you can sing and dance to! Not enough lyrical fun music, too much just repeat beats!

I must say Supernova is EPIC as hell it is so different by far one of the best clubs Ive been to in Seattle, so much creativity in this place to the crazy colorful rooms! to the awesome photo booth! the music! the people! definitely my to go place! :)

Their NYE celebration was amazing, band was bumping, everyone was grooving and moving! Drinks are overpriced and not quality but they get you drunk as hell. Loved this place, definitely coming back!!!

Awesome club that is more than just a club - it’s part theatre, part club, part immersive art experience! Vibes are thick and they do a great job of being inclusive of everyone from any walk of life! Plus, who doesn’t love getting dressed up in costume for the heck of it?!

Sell out. Doesnt ACTUALLY care about the safety of women or a safe space for the community. At the end of the day, the owner only cares about $, where to cut corners, and how to step on people to make a profit. This place is the epitome of bro.

Friends and I waited for over four hours to get in, and we arrived early! We bounced after 30 minutes, feeling defeated, deflated, drained. Two of us felt the venue and music was underwhelming.Also seemed in poor taste to identify the tip function when completing admission purchase.We waited four hours. A tip isn’t likely. Left me feeling like front door was tone deaf. A tip, nah. Not for that!

Over priced, dirty establishment. It needs to be shut down.

If you’ve ever wanted to imagine what it’s like to be famous… step this way with me. The people are as gorgeous as if you’re living on a movie set, the drinks are delicious and the music will have you dancing until 4am and you’re only sweating sparkles.

Tall white guy with a ponytail completely ruined our experience here. I will never recommend this place to my clients, nor will I ever come to this establishment again.

$25 cover and hard to say it was worth it. Nice vibes, live performers (of arguable ability) very inclusive and creative, long waits and high prices though and after a while the lack of space and things to do becomes disappointingly apparent.

Get there earlyish so there isn’t a line or a cover charge! I do think they need a better DJ, but the drag shows are amazing!

Cool stuff inside. Enjoyed the guy out front with a microphone telling everyone this place will not accept bigotry and consent is required for everyone and if that wasn’t in your plans then to leave the club.
